The Eggs Benedict were superior in presentation as well as taste. The Barley Mow breakfast featuring an Oktoberfest sausage is still my favourite. The staff is efficient, friendly and very accommodating to my special needs. I look forward to my Sunday brunches with friends there at least twice a month.

The only reason I didnt give this two stars is because the service was quite good. Exceptional for this city, but would be on par for a restaurant of this type in most other locales. Brockville is in the Twilight Zone as far as what is considered to be acceptable customer service, so this restaurant should be appreciated for that. As for the food... this is what is really lacking, and the portions and proportions are way off. I had the Pub Curry and found it to be of little value, especially with the $6.50 add-on for the blackened chicken. If it werent for this the meal would have consisted of about a one-cup portion of curry, about 1 ½ cup portion of over-cooked rice, and a slab of chewy naan bread... for $19. Add on the $6.50 for the protein and that is one over-priced dish. They should at least include a side of some sort with it. Ive had lots of different kinds of curry in my life and todays version was not something that I would consider to fit into any classification, other that western version, restaurant grade. Nothing special about this at all. The chicken was good though. Will I go there again? Oh probably. I just dont have the patience for snotty servers who lack the interpersonal skills to work in hospitality and make it abundantly clear that they are only there for your money. So Barley Mow definitely wins on the customer service. And, as an added bonus, I do believe they sponsor some local minor league teams. So community presence gets extra points in my book. They just need to up the value for money spent and they will have a regular customer! Parking: Ample parking. Unsure if its monitored, but it is in a fairly busy area during the day, but quiet at night.

Fish and chips are $22, but it comes with only one small piece of fish and not many fries. They even charge a dollar if you order extra tartar sauce. We were still hungry afterwards and so we went through McDonalds drive thru.

This was our last stop on a return drive to Toronto from Nova Scotia. Food was great, clean washrooms, can t ask for more.

Food was cold. Decent taste but cold. Someone ordered a vegetarian meal and it had bacon on it. Service was terrible. And bar tender wouldn t rinse my baby s sippy cup. Won t be back.

Service was great, poutine was cold when it came out and the fries felt old. Atmosphere was okay, volume was a bit loud for the hockey game.

Stop for and after shopping drink, staff was great and atmosphere perfect for conversation.

It was terrific! Pho was excellent apparently & fish & chips was a very good choice too! I had The Wrap like last time, it was excellent too! Service from Rebecca was really good - well-timed.

I orders the chickpea curry with chicken. The chicken didnt come. I told my server and I received the chicken after I was finished my meal. Also it was supposed to be served naan bread and it was served with a pita. Thats a big difference.

Been in the establishment once before last year. Had my Kronenburg beer on tap. Quiet afternoon. No issues. Recently went back 2 Saturdays ago. Wife and I Walked in at 1 ish. The hostess/ Bartender grabbed 2 menus and put us at a table around the back right beside a 12 person group who were extremely loud. She dropped the menus on the table and walked away no personality no your waitress will be with you nothing. Felt like we were imposing, another couple was placed behind us. They left within 5 mins. We should have done as well. But we stuck it out we were hungry. The waitress said only the Knonenburg blanc was available. My wife couldn t decide on a wine and asked if she try a sample. Waitress said they don t allow samples.what establishment in food and beverage doesn t allow a taste test seriously? We settled on a drink and left!! Very disappointing for us we definitely won t return. The hostess who greeted us was a reflection of the establishment. We ended up leaving and had an amazing lunch elsewhere. What a waste of time.

Called in on Good Friday and had the fish & chips, I have to say, it might just have been the best fish Ive ever had! (Beware: the pieces of fish are huge! I ordered an extra piece and barely finished it, only managed to because it was so delicious!) If Im being super critical, the chips were a little on the salty side, but still nice. Our server (Kellie) was very pleasant and attentive, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Will definitely be back.

Just wanted a quick and simple dinner. Ordered the caesar salad and a lager (local brewery). The lettuce was so finely chopped that I couldnt stab it with a fork and ended up scooping the lettuce like using a spoon. The beer was so flat, I couldnt drink it. The restaurant was by no means busy, maybe 5 other tables but nobody came to check on my progress. I wrote the orleans branch off a few years ago but figured I would give this one a try (brockville).

It is always a pleasure to dine here. The butter chicken was great, and I tried the baked brie. It was delicious! My server, April, was attentive, friendly and great at her job!

Customer service by the wait staff was about as bad as it gets. I am a regular customer but after these last two take out orders I will never being going back again..I do not recommend going there. Food is crazy expensive and they screwed up my take out order twice..

Never got in to Sunday Brunch as they said we had to wait 30 min when 1/2 the restaurant was empty. They said booths were not to seat 5 people, even though one was a baby. Went to the Tincap restaurant and had a great experience.

Amazing berger!!

So much good food! One of the best poutines in Brockville and surrounding area. You have to try the deep fried zucchini with the dill dip, it is delicious. I usually go for half price apps night on Tuesday 8-close (no longer applicable unfortunatly). Decided to give their brunch a try today and it didnt dissapoint (plus Sunday is kids eat free so bonus)! Will definitely be going back. And the staff are so friendly and just great

Great restaurant with a fun atmosphere. We went here for their wing special night and defientely some of the best wings I have had. We also got an order of sweet potato fries which were delicious. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. It was a very busy night but still managed quick service. Will be going back here! Vegetarian options: A few vegetatian options and lots of fish options Parking: Free parking lot with lots of spots behind the restaurant Kid-friendliness: There is a kid menu and kids eat free with an adult meal purchase. Wheelchair accessibility: Location is accesible by wheel chair and there is handicap spots available.

First time. The service was a little sporadic and was not overly crowed when we were there. The food was plentiful, but I thought the burger paddy was a little skimpy for over $20 price tag. Very nicely finished inside.

Our first time at Barley Mow in Brockville. Great tasting food. We had Beef Bourguignon with Gnocchi/ House Salad/ Toasted Garlic Butter Ciabatta and my wife had Malaysian Chicken. It sounds like a lot of food, however the meals are well apportioned. The beef was wonderfully tender and the marinaded seared chicken was well seasoned and not too spicy, just the perfect amount of heat. Kellie our server did a great job looking after us. Thank you Kellie. For those of us that are or have served in the Canadian Forces we get a 20% discount on dine-in meals. Now that is a sweet deal on top of great food, wonderful service and atmosphere. See you again soon. Second visit 02.16.24 Fish and chips for both of us. Large portion of fish and plenty of chips. First time visiting this restaurant. Absolutely the best restaurant burger I have ever had. Too big to finish. Quite delicious.

Only ever had the Cattle Dunk with a Caesar salad. The portions are a perfect size too, not like those places where its obnoxiously large.

Great pub in Brockville! We went here for a team lunch to grab bite. Service was great, we had our drinks quickly and the food shortly after. The burger was a good size and fries were great! They have some wing specials coming up so I would definitely recommend checking those out.

Fantastic staff. Mark and Julia, were both excellent! The moment we walked in the door we were greeted, seated and provided with menus and told the specials they had. We ordered and drinks came right away. The food only took 10-15 min after we ordered too. My wife and I both enjoyed our meal but we love the atmosphere and attitudes of the staff they truly make the establishment!

We usually sit in the booth where no one sits, they refused to give us the spot because they have regulars who use it after church apparently. We like to have a quiet place and have a bottle of wine every time. Good news they never showed up after church and we will be using Kelseys. Been 2 months now and use Kelseys for better service and food. FYI cheaper too. Good luck The Barley Mow, you lost a good customer.

Friendly service with great food! We went in for take out for a family gathering, sat down for some great Caesars while we waited for our food. The service was great, our server very attentive and worked with the kitchen to ensure we were able to have some gluten free options. My favourite Brockville restaurant, highly recommend this place to eat in and or take out!

Had lunch today, with three other everyones meal looked great sadly my chicken wings had enough salt on them to do my stairs during the next storm, when I pointed out the issue they replaced the wings with be those were under cooked so not a great experience for me at all.

They started dusting as we were eating, chicken wings were over cooked. Seemed pricey for the lack of quality food.
