Had a lovely visit to Brockville and a wonderful dinner at Buell Street Bistro. One of the best Boeuf Bourginion Ive ever had. It was a special but the entire evening was enjoyable. My go to place when Im in the area.

We had a delicious meal served beautifully while sitting on a small patio. The staff took pains to ensure no group was too close to another. The patio setting is intimate with a variety of gardens surrounding. The only distraction were a few small wasps that preferred my pork to my husbands seafood fettuccine! Parking: Right kitty corner from the Bistro. As it was a weekend night, we did not have to pay!

A wonderful little spot ..lots of character..which adds to the Atmosphere. Service was very good..the waitresses were all very thoughtful and worked well as a group..the FOOD was delicious..the warm bread in a little basket with a tasty little dish of olive oil with I believe , Balsamic Vinegar ..no rushing

If youre looking for a good restaurant, this is the one you should try.

Great place in a beautiful historic city of Brockville! Travelling along St. Lawrence river in Southern Ontario, I was tired of burger, pizza, & .. , luckily found this place and we all a group five enjoyed it. Great portion, fabulous presentation and excellent service! Thank you Angela!

Amazing food . Amongst the best restaurants I have tried in my life. I have tried a few dishes and my wife has tried a few with seafood. They are all amazing . The location and atmosphere is also very enjoyable. This place has better food then some highly rated restaurants in Rome , Paris and Vienna that I have personally tried.

Took a very long time to get the food nearly an hour. Extra for bread, no gravy or any type of sauce on steak or chicken dish, vegetarian bowl was terrible, way overpriced.

Excellent! Very nice seafood dishes, great service and value. Also, my daughter reports that the Shirley Temple is a 10/10, a rating shes only ever given to one place. This one! Lol! Enjoy.

We just returned from a very nice Valentines Day dinner. The restaurant was really busy but the staff were friendly and pleasant. The food was really good. I had a Caesar salad and seafood fettuccine. The salad was perfect and the fettuccine was loaded with salmon and shrimp and scallops. My husband had lobster bisque and seared tuna. He really enjoyed them and half of mine. The portions were a good size. All in all a lovely time.

Good, popular and a little pricey for what you get, but: supply and demand.

All over the above, Food, Service and Atmosphere is always awesome. Been here multiple times and never lets us down. We brought a group of relatives from out of town last night and after a fabulous dinner they all raved about how good it was. Thank you all for the great food and service, we will be back.

Was here for a new years dinner. The menu was great. Our food was so amazing. Everytime we visit Brockville we stop here to eat. Also recommend enjoying there patio in the summer.

Took my husband here for his 60th birthday and salmon spectacular. We were very pleased with the service of our waitress, the food and the ambiance. We will probably go back before the salmon spectacular is over. What a great evening

The food is delicious and such a great atmosphere. Brockville is such a wonderful town to visit.

Service was great. Food was adequate, although should have been better considering the prices. Ordered the Seafood Thermidor and they were out of scallops that were supposed to be included in this meal. It was lacking considering I was very much looking forward to having this particular meal. Food was good, but I doubt I will return considering the expense of the place and lack of availability of what I actually wanted.

Just an incredible place. My family and I have come to dine here from Ottawa on several occasions now. It s well (well) worth the drive! Where do I even start with positive things to say!? 1. Amazing service: gracious, polite, attentive, and intuitive. Just wow. (Thank you, Liz!) 2. Extensive gluten free menu: I ve never come across such an elaborate GF menu not even in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, or any other big city. As someone with a severe gluten intolerance, I am very limited as to where I can dine out - most restaurants either don t provide GF options at all, and even if they do, they re careless and sloppy with it. I felt so included, cared for, and accommodated. Thank you. 3. Exceptional quality at such reasonable prices. In these inflationary times, Buell s is spot on in this arena. What a breath of fresh air! 4. Even when making a reservation months in advance for a special event, upon arrival, the staff knew exactly who we were and knew exactly the table we had requested and they had reserved it for us accordingly. Reliable! We WILL be back!

I always followed reviews to make a choice of restaurants. This one has very good reviews. Maybe that was the reason our expectations were to high Because the overall experience with the food was not good. The atmosphere and the service were great. Unfortunately, the food was too expensive and not that good. The stuffed chicken really wasn t stuffed (they served the wing portion of the chicken and we never saw the stuffed thing) The vegetables in the two plates that we ordered were almost the same and not that tasty. The pesto saumon was dry. ( I was expecting some flavour because , it is pesto, but It was not tasty ) Because I believe that reviews are important, I wanted to share my experience. Hope other clients are/were more lucky.

Love this local gem! It never disappoints. Staff is welcoming and attentive. We each had the seafood thermidor and it was outstanding. My sister had the sangria and said it is the best she s had. We sat outside on the foliage surrounded patio and enjoyed our time together on a beautiful summer night.

The manager gave absolutely TERRIBLE service, she was very rude and disrespectful towards my wife and I. We are never going there again after what we had to deal with. Do not recommend going there.

Dinner with family on Aug 15/23, met with beautiful patio and friendly professional service. As having just moved from Toronto to the area, I was antennae up for the meal. I will say, it was at least as good as the restaurants I used to haunt and a very reasonable price. Well delineated flavours and subtle undertones unexpected. Antennae down, now. I will return with anticipation of an very good meal. 5 stars - highly recommended.

Absolutely great experience

A nice little spot in Brockville, with great atmosphere and service. The appetizers were not worth it. Our party loved the pork entrée and ceasar salad with chicken, while the seafood fettuccine was fine.

I live over an hour away and Im already thinking Ill need to make another trip, just for the food! Stuffed chicken was delicious, my friend was over the moon with her stir fry dish as well. I am a big fan of this establishment. It s a simple but really well-delivered menu, with a very pleasant family-friendly atmosphere. The seating is outdoors in a cute little patio, and the service is top notch. Highly recommended.

Been working my way through the Brockville restaurants and this was by far the best yet. Fantastic service and really good food at reasonable prices considering the quality. For the first time in Brockville I can confidently say that I will be back! Dietary restrictions: They have a separate Gluten free menu to make it easy. Wonderful!

Wow over the top delicious meal . I had sirloin lamb which Ive never even heard of before rare unbelievable flavor. Pumpkin carrot soup which was also delicious. Very impressive meal will go back again soon Kid-friendliness: We asked for a change of table. And it wasnt a big deal she just moved us. Amazing evening the food was delicious. Great service

I have been here several times over the past few years, and each time I go, I am a little bit more disappointed with the restaurant. While the food is usually delicious, last time, I went, my medium steak was practically blue. The inside seating venue is very cramped, and the service is exceptionally slow on a good day. Would be nice to have some variation in the menu as well..

Not sure I have ever come across beef Bourgogne with an overload of sweet potatoe and zucchini as ingredients!

Terrible customer service. Went to place an order for take out and was told that they were too busy for takeout. If they are too busy for take out then the option should be taken off of their website. Another restaurant will benefit from our order tonight.

I was very disappointed...considering the restaurants are open again and its valentines it was horrible...my stir-fry with vegetables, shrimp and chicken was 95% rice...I had to send it back and have them add vegetables as per menu. All they added was a few cut up peppers. For $27..it was horrible...I did not eat it. My husbands meal did not say it was spicy...he ate it...there would be no way I could as I cant have spicy food. The people who were elder next to us couldn eat theirs because it was too spicy. So disappointed.

Amazing food. Its nice to visit after 20 years and know that the quality of the food has never changed. Simply amazing cant wait to go back. The Ontario Pork was delicious as well as the chocolate blueberry cheesecake.

The seafood pasta was delicious, our waitress was wonderful, and my date enjoyed his meal as well. The art on the walls add a lot to the environment for me I was staring endlessly at the beautiful paintings. Will be back for sure.

Used to be a treat to come here but things have certainly changed since the business was put up for sale. Wine glasses with lip/lipstick marks - and a waitress who seemed put out by my commenting on this... I dont mind paying $200 for a night out (and didnt even mind that there was no apology) but to have to deal with this attitude and manner..? No thanks.

We were at Buell Street Bistro this evening. The food was well prepared (stuffed chicken with loads of roasted vegetables) , tasted great and a very generous portion. Our server was attentive and pleasant. It was a great experience.

The seafood fettuccine was absolutely delicious! Came here for lunch with my co worker and it was the cutest little restaurant. Super quick and friendly service. If i wasn t just passing through I would frequently be dining here

Were touring Brockville and decided to have late lunch here at Buell Street Bistro. Gorgeous little gem hidden away from the central restaurants. Friendly service with a beautiful outdoor seating arrangement. We had the Indo Stir Fry, which was good but the Seafood Thermidore was just exceptional (and would have again). We had the Catalin cheesecake with berries, which was really good but as per the recommendation the strawberry mango crumble was darn tasty! Thanks for the great food :)

Food, service and decor was good but very pricey! For example, the entrées are well over $30 and sometimes $40 so I assumed when the waitress asked me if I wanted fried onions as a side that they were included or at least under $4. Instead I get the bill and it s $7 just for the fried onion! One onion is only pennies and frying one is pretty cheap as well. I have been to expensive and fancy places before, including very recently, but I never had to spend over $50 per person (including a 15% tip plus GST) since we never order hard drinks or appetizers. Also desserts are all over $10 and all but one or two seemed to have raspberries which I m not a big fan of. As for simple requests from the waitress, she did what was asked but acted awkward about it, such as bringing the meal and the dessert at the same time, as we didn t want to miss the boat cruise departure. If money is no object to you, then by all means go here but if you re looking for a menu with more variety of price points, elsewhere is preferable.

Food was delicious. Our server Kait was a sweatheart and attentive. Its a cute spot with a nice outdoor area. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a highly quality meal in Brockville! Yummy!

The food is not that great for how much it costs. Small salad (which tasted bad) with chicken costs 27. Would not recommend.

Great gourmet food but totally disrespected. We had reservations so we were seated in a small room beside a birthday party table and another table of 3. The noise was deafening. The waitress was too busy with the birthday group and the other table to serve us, so we just sat there. When we did order the waitress disregarded everything we ordered except the main course. No salads, no water, no beverages. An hour and a half later after we finished our meal the waitress found time to bring us our beverages I told her to bring the bill we were leaving.

Truly enjoyed the romantic patio, lights, soft jazz and delicious food. Loved our home-made sangria a bit too much.

Ok, we stumbled across this place and let me say its by far deserves more than 5 stars. The food was amazing, I had the ontario pork tenderloin with a peach chutney with garlic mashed and a melody of veggies and it was to die for. My companions both had the Seafood Thermador which consisted of Shrimp, Scallops and Snapper with rice and veggies and they said it was one of the best meals theyve had. Everything was Top Notch. We tried the pumpkin Cheesecake and split it 3 ways because it was huge and it too was amazing. Our server Liam was an amazing young man who was very polite and he made sure we were looked after. I highly recommend going here for a bite to eat if your ever in Brockville, you wont be disappointed. See you again Buell..

We started with escargot. It was bland with no garlic flavour at all. We ordered the Mediterranean salad with a salmon filet. The salmon was nicely cooked but again, very bland. We also ordered the seafood thermidor on the menu it is described as scallops and shrimp on a bed of red snapper it was tasty but there were no scallops.

Had eaten there once prior not long ago and enjoyed the meal. Food was good at that time. This time we both ordered New York striploin steaks. In short both were poor a cut of meat with mine more than half full of grissle and fat. Both were cooked properly and had it not been for the pepper sauce the meal would have been a complete disaster. At the end I mentioned it to our very attentive server. She forwarded the complaint to the owner. I was disappointed when the bill arrive to see no attempt to appease us. Not even a visit to the table by the owner to discuss our issue. We had not asked for a discount but I thought it appropriate. We will look further for a nice spot next time.

Absolutely fantastic service and food! The patio was open and extra umbrellas were provided to protect the tables from the elements as it was just slightly raining when we went. I have never had a bad meal here and this visit was no exception with one of the best local chefs again exceeding our expectations. It was a milestone birthday celebration and Linda and her staff went out of their way to provide us with exceptional service and make the evening special. Highly recommend this establishment and looking forward to our next visit!

Just went today. Super nice place, good service, nice patio. Food was excellent. I reccomend the pesto salmon and the ontario pork dish. I reccomend to locals and visitors alike. Good idea to call ahead because they are pretty popular... and with good reason.

We love this place. Been coming here for about 3 years now. We arrange camping in the area to allow us to eat at the bistro once or twice during our stay. Chef/kitchen staff are amazing. Food is delicious. Flavours abound. Escargots are probably the best Ive ever had. Menu doesnt say what cheese is used but it aint mozzarella, I dont think. Never had a dish we didnt love. Well done guys.

Food and service was amazing. We ordered the tomato soup, bread with olive oil, pesto salmon with garlic shrimp add-on, grill kebab, and creme brulee. DELICIOUS. Compliments to the chef. The garlic shrimp was my favorite.

Went here for a wedding rehearsal dinner a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, a car accident down the street severely damaged a hydro pole, which meant the power went out during our dinner. Despite the power outage, Buell Street Bistro staff didnt miss a beat. They continued to provide us with a delicious three course dinner, cooked exactly to my tables liking, all while romantically candlelit in the dark! Bravo to all of the serving, kitchen and management team, we were SO impressed with your professionalism and commitment to providing your guests a top notch dining experience.

I had a delicious New York steak. My wife had sea food fettuccine and was not so good . Pasta was tough, scallops were old tasting and tough. Salmon and shrimp were o.k. Lots of garlic in the dish.

My wife and I recently spent a couple of days in Brockville and had a wonderful dinner and evening at the Buell Street Bistro. We were fortunate to get reservations on the outdoor patio which has a very nice ambience. The food was all very, very good, caesar salad, escargot and provencal mussels. Excellent pork dish, attentive service!

The food here was fantastic and the service matched the food. The kebob special was amazing and so was the rest of the food. It is a bit pricey, but well worth the price. This didnt show up in our initial Google search, but if you find this place, go here. Id recommend everything we tried garlic shrimp, tomato soup, salmon, bread and crème brule. We didnt love the stuffed chicken, but it was okay.

1st-time, group of 5 from out of town. Everybody was delighted by the service and the food. We each had something different and it was all really excellent! At this quality of place though, most of us are used to seeing bread and oil/vinegar simply on the table rather than a starter to be ordered, even (or especially) at such a trivial price. Itd have been a delight just on the table when we sit down, or taken off the menu -- then I wouldnt even have noticed this quirk. Sincere thanks to the staff, front and back, for a really great evening! Will recommend.

So happy we went to the Buell Street Bistro. We have never been to Brockville and were looking for a restaurant that had a good selection for everyones needs. We ordered 5 different entrees. All 5 were perfect and absolutely delicious. The food arrived steaming hot and so flavorful. The restaurant itself is very well done. We wished the weather would have nicer as the terrace looked really pretty. Next time we are in town we will definitely be dinning there again.

Great place to eat. Good tasty and fresh tasting food. The MUSSELS were excellent and so is their SANGRIA Enjoyed my SEAFOOD FETTUCINI, perfectly al dentewith plenty of seafood in it. GRAET ATSMOSFERE in the outdoor dining with trees , flowers and hambiance lighting , very Parisian. Highly recomed.

We had been here before and had a good experience, tonight however was not it. Both our meals seemed extremely lack lustre. Very well presented and good quality ingredients, however very lacking in overall flavor unfortunately. I never add salt in a restaurant, and found myself doing so tonight just to taste something. Very odd. On the plus side, the service and drinks were excellent.

Food was good thankfully as it was quite pricey, but the actual dining experience was not great. We also got a seat with no lighting and was only illuminated by surrounding tables. There was candles on our table, but it was never lit, even after requesting. It also took about 90 minutes from the time we sat down to the time we got our food.

A family favorite for special nights. The Thermador is remarkable. Our parents share the seafood fettuccine every time!

The food is good, it costs 40 per person, and the seafood noodles are also delicious. The yard is very warm and romantic.

One of my all-time favorite restaurants to visit in Brockville for lunch or for dinner! I love the location of the Bistro, tucked away in the Court House district which is an easy walk from downtown Brockville. The food is amazing, with great vegetarian choices on the menu, and always eye pleasing too. A little pricey, but worth every bite! Very friendly staff who go out of their way to accommodate your special dietary needs.

Food and service were good. We enjoyed the atmosphere and prices were reasonable. I was however disappointed due to the fact they were out of tuna and mussels. I had called the day before to make a reservation for our anniversary and asked if the menu would be the same as posted and was told yes. We specifically came for those two items and were surprised when we learned they were out. Other than that everything was excellent.

It is a very nice place, however the food took a while to come out and when it did, it was pretty bland. We also ordered dessert (Creme Brulee) which was very runny underneath and the sugar crust was burnt. This was priced at $10 which was higher than most places Ive eaten at, even more than fancier restaurants in Toronto. Overall, for a small town, its a nice place. But Id say you can find better options in the larger cities.

Best food in town

While we were having a very nice dinner we watched the staff preparing a table in between guests and we were a little shocked to see that only the top of the table was wiped down, not the edge nor the chair arms. If their procedure is this poor where we were seated and eating, we wondered how well everything else was sanitized.

Fast, Fresh and Friendly! We stopped in for a patio lunch before our boat cruise. The server was awesome, the portions were well sized with great presentation and tasty goodness! Safety measures also great-appropriate spacing hand sanitizer in abundance.

Went to the Buell street bistro Friday, July 24th. Have been several times in the past and we ve always enjoyed it. This time however, the service was a huge disappointment. We had a reservation, for two, ordered two rounds of drinks and two entrees. We had to ask for bread (although it wasn t listed on the menu). The server was not capable of bringing us water, even though she told us she would. All around us other servers were bringing their customers water. We were about half way through our meal before the server bothered to come ask us how everything was. And took a good 15 minutes before she took our plates away. From the view where I was sitting, it didn t look like she was that busy inside the restaurant, wandering back and forth with empty hands. While the food and atmosphere were wonderful, the service took away from our experience.

Were in the area and had heard good things about this bistro. Nicely done. Great menu options plus daily features (we were there on a Saturday). Food was fresh and well prepared, presented and proportioned. Nice patio for a summer s evening meal. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

The experience and food was fantastic! Their outdoor patio is elegant and the waitress were exceptional! There was music playing in the background as well. I recommend visiting.

I found this place through Google maps and I am so glad I did! We had to make a few take out orders (so unfortunately, didnt have a chance to sit on the patio), and the place didnt disappoint. Weve ordered a seafood pasta which was nice, but it seems like they are doing better with Ontario pork and filet mignon which were both melting in the mouth. Delicious and highly recommended! Amazing food! This is they type of freshly prepared food where you would like to try what each person had for a meal. We will definitely be back!

Amazing food! All the ingredients you can tell are extremely fresh and high quality. I ordered the steak with the summer salad and was so impressed. Prices are super reasonable for the great quality of the food. Patio is in a really cute garden :) would love to come here again.

Super cute little place with a gorgeous patio. We had drinks and the broccoli soup and French onion soup. Took a piece it the chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Was a great choice! Staff was nice, service friendly!
