Delightful lunch stop in Brockville. Had hoped for the tower of tea goodies but shop is currently short staffed. Lentil soup, scones and fresh homemade strawberry jam did not disappoint! We will be back for a proper tea service in October.
I recently had the pleasure of having breakfast at this charming café. The experience was delightful from start to finish. I opted for the Full English breakfast, which was cooked to perfection. The waitstaff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of my visit, however, was the masala chai tea. It was astonishingly good and truly made the breakfast experience exceptional. If you're in Brockville and looking for a great place to start your day, this café is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Wonderful English restaurant, lovely staff, tasty food, clean with beautiful decor. It's unique style can and should be a tourist attraction! I live in Toronto and willing to drive 4 hours again just to come here.
Cozy, friendly English tea room. I recommend the scones 100% I had the plain scone with clotted cream and their homemade strawberry jam! My companion (my mom) had the lemon bluberry scone with clotted cream. I would return just for those but, the full English breakfast was perfect too, as were the sausage rolls. So what I'm saying is come try just about anything on the menu, tea included, and I doubt you'll be disappointed.
ABSOLUTELY fantastic!! Went for tea and enjoyed a phenomenal breakfast! Definitely worth finding time, if closed, go back when it's open. 😍 it! We returned today for our second visit. Fantastic again!!
We had an authentic English afternoon tea here. The owner of the restaurant immigrated to Canada from the United Kingdom in 1990 and brought English scones, clotted cream and jams. They are very delicious! Although the restaurant is small, it’s very British and cozy! Should not miss it 😋
Went for the Valentine's Day afternoon tea experience and it was lovely. They are so accommodating, especially since we had some allergies to some things. The food was delicious, there were many teas to try, and inside is the same as it's namesake... Cozy!!!
Amazing place for tea. Great selection of teas and pasrties. Atmosphere and decor are amazing you just want to keep clicking pictures of everything. The lady at the counter is amazing and really friendly. I ordered week grey tea with some pastry. It was amazing. Highly recommended to anyone who just want to tune down and relax
Best Cornish Pastie ever!
Just loved it.
Splendid Omelet exceeded my expectations Food
Charming cosy British teahouse that you should not miss when visiting Brockville.
The food is always delicious, and the service and atmosphere are amazing. My son loves their housemade English muffins, and I love the chicken pasty!
Went here for breakfast, twice! Had the full English breakfast both times, was incredible. Excellent selection of teas, and homemade jam was fantastic. Highly recommended, look forward to going back again.
Delicious food! Wonderful atmosphere, and very friendly staff! I definitely recommend this place
Popped in for a coffee and a scone. Pleasant little shop, friendly service, tasty snack. Id go back. :-)
Love this spot. Not a lot of seating, but well worth it. Warm scones with jam are excellent and filling. Food : 5/5
Easily the best full English we ve had outside of England or Scotland. The food arrived after the first cuppa, piping hot and fresh. I m neither a mushroom nor a tomato guy, but both were prepared to perfection. The fried bread? Gorgeous. Bangers - splendid. And the black pudding was blacker than my effing soul, and equally delicious, if not moreso. Afters, went for a 45 minute walk around Blockhouse Island and through the Railway Tunnel, circling back to pick up a couple of scones, clotted cream and jam. So. Good. I see some low reviews complaining about slow service, or it being a cramped space. To them I d recommend a McDonalds nearby; on top of having a drive-thru window, they ll have the option to experience all of the charm and atmosphere to which they are so clearly accustomed, and well deserve. Chef s kiss, Cosies! Parking: We were there on a Sunday morning, so traffic was light, and parking was both free and plentiful.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere (although maybe a bit heavy on the Union flags!!). Being British, I wasnt quite sure what to expect, but I wasnt disappointed. The Cornish pasty was lovely (Grans recipe apprently), washed down with a smashing cuppa. Well worth a visit, and good value for money.
Great little spot for a Fathers Day breakfast. I had the full English while my wifey had a bacon & cheese bap and we shared a pot of tea for 2. Will be going back.
Excellent English breakfast. Authentic and prepared well. Took over 45 minutes to bring the order so dont go there unless time is on your side.
Real teacups and teapots and cosies. Home baked scones and crumpets. Super friendly staff. A super enjoyable way to spend and afternoon tea with friends
Cosy little tea room, with a British feel, couldn t help but smile as I walked in. Excellent food and afternoon tea!
fabulous place to get a REAL AUTHENTIC English breakfast Parking: lots of free parking on city streets Food : 5/5 |
Nice British tea (and coffe) place at a corner shop.
Attention to little details! look at this HP sauce! Very British. Love the food and the interior as well. Perfect brunch place if youre ever in Brockville.
Great spot for a chill breakfast
Charming decor, interesting british menu, very friendly service, best scones
Lovely place, most probably a family owned tea room, great food, amazingly nice people
Dietary restrictions: Its difficult to find a decent gluten-free sandwich, but the BLT on the gluten-free bread is amazing Food
A group of friends (the Tea-timers ) took a road trip from Kingston to Brockville to have afternoon tea at Cosies. It was definitely worth the trip. The food was amazing and generous. The service was excellent, and the tea was delicious. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed high tea at its best with warm, friendly service! Great way to spend a couple of hours on a special birthday! Food
Very nice atmosphere, very nice decoration, you feel at home. Lunch is perfect they take the time to make it perfect
Festive afternoon tea! Always an amazing selection. Thanks Alison and Cosies staff.
We LOVE Cosies. The food is delicious. The staff are incredibly friendly and create a wonderful atmosphere for all ages. Would give it 10 stars if we could.
Fantastic breakfast or lunch place with authentic English food. Great spot and helpful staff. Pasty was flakey and hearty. Yellow curry chicken salad sandwich was also great. Scones and homemade strawberry jam are a must have.
Fun little spot. Kid friendly. Great breakfasts!
Delicious food, prompt service, distinct and engaging ambience. Like going back in time 60 years
Service was excellent. Food-wonderful
Great food and very friendly staff. Very quaint little place with a very nice atmosphere and their big breakfast was delicious. Will definitely go back next time were in Brockville.

Such a cute place !
Great place and the service was sublime. Very nice discovery.
Cosy indeed! Homemade goodness right down to the clotted cream. Loved the scones and pasties. Casual afternoon tea experience at any hour with thoughtful touches. Highly recommended!
This is a great spot. I strongly recommend for a short but luscious bite to eat. The crumpets are luxurious. My husband and I have been as have my mother and I. We have all enjoyed.
Quite pricey
Wonderful! Something for everyone to enjoy. Food
One of my al time favourite brunch restaurants! The Cosies Big Breakfast is filling and full of the best British food. The homemade strawberry jam is so good and put that with clotted cream on the Strawberry Vanilla scone wild!! They also have High Tea amazing! And the Cornish and Chicken Pasty s are great as well. Everything so well done here.
Beautiful place with English decor (England). Weve never seen a decor like that. Good soup and pâté too. We ate well.
Old style english breakfast. Perfection! Food
This place is amazing, a great wee place for a proper breakfast. Best sausages weve had years, everything was delicious. We cant wait to return and get some home comforts again soon. Irish in Ottawa its worth a drive Food
This place is awesome! Not only the food is delicious but also the vibe! The interior design is so adorable and the music is just perfect (soundtracks from Harry Potter, Hercule Poirot and from other British movies and British singers).
Great place for tea! The place has lots of Royal family memorabilia. Servings are large. Seems to be popular with the older crowd.
What a sweet place! Homemade food. The sausage rolls are amazing, done completely from scratch. Secret recipe! The scones and clotted cream, also homemade, were so good. Will definitely make this a regular stop.
What a treat!
What a treat! I moved to Ottawa from West Sussex, UK, 15 years ago. My old high street used to have amazing pasties and I miss them! Such a treat to have a traditional, home made and delicious pasty today. Would highly recommend!
Good lunch
Cosies is an ideal place for a positive atmosphere, whether you are on a date or simply need to relax. The staff are always friendly, the entire place is charming and the food is always tasty and satisfying. Everything from the tea, to any snacks you purchase on your way out fell that much more enjoyable. While the prices may seem a bit high, the quality is even higher. I highly recommend cosies to anyone looking for a place to grab tea and breakfast.
Lovely British Cafe with excellent friendly, efficient staff! Loved their food and the scones were excellent. Great atmosphere for breakfast or lunch. We were a party of 4 where the chicken pastry/ salad as well as the roast beef sandwich were ordered. All good! Thank you Cosies!
We were really delighted to have discovered Cosies today! The tearoom is beautiful, the owners are so friendly, warm and welcoming, and the food is amazing. We all agreed that the scones (both vegan and non-vegan) were the most delicious we have ever tasted, and topped with homemade jam and cream incredible! We enjoyed ourselves here so much that we plan to make the trip from Ottawa again sometime soon, just to come back to Cosies. Very highly recommended! Vegetarian options: Delicious vegan scones, vegan butter and plant-based milk for tea Dietary restrictions: Great vegan options
A delightful experience from start to finish. The scones and pasties were delicious and Courtney took care of us brilliantly. We will become regular visitors from Ottawa.
Quaint surroundings, old drawers turned into unique shelves, a feeling of home comfort.
Wonderful and cozy little spot - delicious food, adorable tea pots, and friendly staff!
Best scones and cream!
Best spot in town for in the town for breakfast!
They have amazingly delicious scones. Its a family run business with great service. The atmosphere is cozy. The tea we had was delicious. I highly recommend this place if you like scones and tea. Also, treat yourself by getting the clotted cream and jam for your scones :)
The vegan scones are absolutely incredible! The strawberry vanilla flavour is my favourite. Thank you to Cosies for providing a lovely vegan treat to pair with tea
Sat down at 9:05 for breakfast and finally got our food at 10:20. Others came in after us, got their food and were gone before we got our food and we were a party of 4. What takes so long for eggs and homefries? No acknowledgement or apology from staff. Food was okay but not worth the prices charged. When the say All Day Breakfast they really mean it TAKES ALL DAY! Will not go back.
Lovely!
We frequently visit Cosies even though we live in Smiths Falls. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is delicious and the service can t be beat the staff are super friendly and accommodating. The whole family loves it, i highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.
if you are traveling to Brockville this is the best place to grab Lunch/Breakfast. We were here for Lunch and we enjoyed every single item we ordered. If you are into British Decor this is the place to be.
Fancy place for a good cup of tea.
All 3 of us were thrilled with this adorable little place. So British. Selection of teas and you can do a mug or pot for 1or2. Try the Cornish pasties, or the huge British breakfast. Fried bread yum, potatoes pancakes yum, tuna sandwich with salad was wonderful with little surprise of nuts for crunch. Comfy wing back seats... So lovely you dont want to leave. Fresh homemade jam...not too sweet just delish!!!! Wheelchair accessibility: You can navigate.
Great food! Wonderful atmosphere. Attentive service.
Great place, lovely staff. Awesome scones, tea, breakfast... 100% recommend!
Fantastic breakfast at Cosies Tea Room. Saturday was full English breakfast and Sunday was bacon bap with purchase of scones, sausage rolls and Cornish pasties. Highly recommend the tea room. Even their tea was excellent too.
This is a lovely tearoom. I purchased a variety of frozen scones, jam and clotted cream. I baked the scones tonight and boy, did they puff up beautifully. They tasted just like my grandma s scones. My son never got to meet my grandma and now he can experience a little taste of Britain 30 minutes away from our home. Thank you for the lovely goodies.
This place is adorable! Lovely atmosphere and decor, staff was super friendly and attentive. We had the 2 egg breakfast and it was delicious! Highly recommend for a cozy Sunday (or any day) breakfast experience. Will definitely be back!
Very friendly staff and the best Cornish Pasty Ive had since leaving the UK 18 years ago
A little slice of english heaven in downtown brockville. Small cozy english tea and breakfast nuzzled amongst all the shops. The service was outstanding. The food was even better. Speak with sue when you get here and tell them you read this review. Pass along your thoughts of this amazing place with world class food and service.
Lovely place and atmosphere The decor is adoring! The use of an old Singer sewing machine stand as a sink counter is quite unique. Had a lovely tea and scones today with my mother. The raspberry white chocolate one is the best!!! The server was sweet and had a lovely conversation about tea and BC. We will be back when we are downtown again for sure! Toodles
A nice and cozy place right in the historic downtown. Excellent food, welcoming hosts. I really enjoyed my visit.
What a lovely gem of a place, warn, super friendly and yummy I couldnt ask for more.
Honestly the best tea and best service! I was visiting from Toronto and went with my mum and we had an amazing time. The food was incredible and the music was
Fantastic food and friendly service highly recommend if your looking for for a delicious British meal
So incredibly lovely. The food is amazing. Canadian sourced teas, my favourite ive tried being their mint, its a pleasure being there on any occasion. Top 5 places to visit this summer in brockvegas!!
Exelent British meals and cusine plus stilish interior
This delightful family owned and run British tearoom features some of the hardest working and lovely people in the restaurant business. Its not uncommon to see one of them often take the time acknowledge, and at times chat with a loyal customer or new face, when time allows for it. Cosies make the BEST pot of tea (with you guessed it, a lovely tea cosy to keep it warm). In addition to a variety of daily freshly baked delicious scones, (even gluten free and vegan ones, my fave); baked from scratch British foods like baps, pasties, sausage rolls, Eccles cakes, generous breakfasts, and did I mention the best scones - with house jam and clotted cream if you please. For non-tea lovers, they also have coffee! Not to be missed if you are visiting pretty Brockville or just want a hot pot of tea with a yummy scone made the best way in a sweet and attractive setting.
Really cosy English styled all day breakfast place in the heart of Brockville. Had the 3 cheese and feta cheese omelette, both were great. Good service with a family friendly vibe.
Great family run restaurant that is a must stop in for breakfast if you can time your drive bw Ottawa or Montreal to Toronto strategically.
Very cute place. Must see in Brockville! Even though it was very nice and delicious, I did not like chicken sandwich much but I like pasty. Pepper slices can be added into that. But there is one thing I definitely suggest which is scone! omg, what was it? It was gorgeous. Must try!
The breakfast was tasty, one of the better teas Ive ever had. Nice atmosphere and everyone was nice. If youre looking for The Breakfast Tea Room experience, Id recommend Cosies .
Visiting Cosies was like stepping through the door to a whole different world. The entire atmosphere from the decor to the staff fit this British themed gem to a T!
The breakfast tasted homemade. The rye bread was fresh. The bangers were delicious. I have always wanted to go here for breakfast and I finally made it here. Was not disappointed.
Delightful little tea room! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The service is fabulous! Highly recommended!
Great service, catered our afternoon tea party.
Such a unique place. Hosts were wonderful people, had a great time.
Traditional British style tea room. Had Coronation chicken sandwich; which was excellent. Also had the cheese omelette which quite frankly the best I have tasted in Canada. All washed down with a pot of tea. If you like tea cosies, cakes and high tea this is a must. Great service and great host. Will be visiting soon
You MUST brunch here! Everything is perfect. Staff if very nice and efficient. Food is made from scratch and we can taste it. I totally recommend this place. Food is perfect, the place is so cute and everyone is amazing.
One of my favorite places to sit and enjoy a drink or some food
Absolute gem in Brockville! Tea, scones, REAL clotted cream. All delicious. Friendly staff, even when they re busy. Very child friendly! Set up high chairs for our 2 year old twins, and had plastic plates to serve them. Changing table in the washroom. A few years ago visited while we had an in-training service dog and they were equally friendly and accommodating. Stop here every time we drive Montréal-Toronto, highlight of our drive.
The atmosphere was very quaint. Several decorations on the walls: tea sets in hanging boxes and a shelf full of teapots. The dishes also matched the decor. The food was tasteful. My mother enjoyed the Cornish Pastry dish, while I had a roast beef sandwich, that was also quite tasty. There was ample salad with a good amount of dressing. My only complaint was the waitress never came to ask us how everything was, not even one time. Once our food arrived, that was all the contact we had. My sandwich also had margarine on the bread,, very disappointing. I would have preferred mayonnaise or nothing versus having to scrape off the margarine. Nonetheless this hicup did not ruin our lunch out.
Absolutely fabulous ! Full english, best tea Ive had in forever, lovely service thank you !
We really enjoyed Cosies. I only wish the tables were a normal height and chairs were better. I get they are going for rustic, but it was a little too shabby and not enough chic.
Fantastic traditional English breakfast; great service, homemade baked items and jams make it a must try
Wonderful breakfast!
Good service good food
Really enjoyed this, had a great bully beef sandwich. Fun to have a themed diner with appropriate decor.
A thoughtful and a very much a pleasurable place to eat. Kind thanks.
We absolutely love Cosies! The take-home-and-bake scones with their clotted cream and strawberry jam are to die for! And the Cornish pasties are the best comfort food ever. Love, love this shop and its owners!
Excellent! Will be back soon.
We came away from Cosies today with their amazing afternoon tea box. A gorgeous assortment of pastries and sandwiches that are just the way we would have had them when we lived in the UK. This is a gem of a place that needs to be supported and protected to ensure their continued presence in Brockville. we cant wait until they officially reopen so that we can eat in their cozy shop again.
Best breakfast in town, feeling at home and their food was fabulous. Gluten free scones were delicious.
Loved it, very friendly staff. Good food.
Scones and her strawberry jam is lovely.
What a fantastic place we are lucky to have in the downtown of Brockville. Recipes straight from the UK. You can even buy frozen scones and take them home to cook yourself. Its just a wonderful, unique, quirky and delicious place!
Awesome! Best full English Ive had outside of England. Well worth the trip.
The cutest British tea room! We were served by the owner who greeted us with the info that he just took fresh scones hot out of the oven, how can you resist that! Hes so friendly and warm and clearly loves what he does. The sconces were incredible, the clotted cream is perfect (which is so hard to find legit clotted cream), and we took out two sandwiches that were delicious and fresh and cozy: the coronation chicken that was just right, and the tuna crunch (spoiler: the crunch is pecans!). I will definitely be back! It would be so worth the 2hr drive from home
Delicious, as always and great service!
Great food but somewhat lacking in ambiance
This was our first visit to this quaint shop in downtown Brockville. I enjoyed my Coronation Chicken on a Bap and Steve his Bully Beef on a Bap. We will definitely be returning to taste other deliciousness in the future!!
Delicious
Super cute and the scones were served warm!
Absolutely delightful, family owned. Great food, great ambience and great fun. All future visits to Brockville will include a stop here.
Cosied pot of tea Scone, clotted cream, homemade jam Heaven in sips, bites
I love Cosies. Its the perfect place to relax on a cold day. Ive been for both breakfast and lunch. The full English breakfast is excellent and filling. My favorite is crumpets with clotted cream, jam, and a pot of the Orange Pekoe. The atmosphere is really relaxing, I love the armchairs in the front windows.
I found it a fun place the have an English breakfast. Nice baked English breakfast breads baked on site. Over the top on English decorations. But on the pricy side. The staff were very helpful, patient and tolerant with a customer who has special needs.
My friend and I had tea here for the first time recently and loved everything about the experience. The food and tea were beyond delicious, the service was great, and the setting was lovely. If you havent been, you must try it out!
Excellent breakfast and service.
Great food and service! Highly recommended. I would add a few more British dishes to the menu
Had a wonderful breakfast. Will be back!
Very friendly, cozy and clean place. My husband and I are so happy finding this place and definitely will visit again. Full English breakfast and scones were exquisite!
Friendly staff, great food and the scones were amazing!
Always a treat. Wonderful food. Great atmosphere. Warm friendly service. One of our favourite go to places!
This place is so charming and the owners are absolutely delightful! My breakfast was fantastic and they were awesome about substitutions just a little extra for a homemade scone, of course and the scone was amazing! I ll be back for sure! A great little gem in downtown Brockville!
Its always fantastic
Absolutely love the staff. Food is so delicious and atmosphere is great! I would highly recommend for both big meals or small snacks alike.
Big Fan of Cosies! The decor inside reminds me of my time living in Wales. The service is very attentive - and its great to see a family run business doing it right in the Downtown. The scones + clotted cream are absolutely delicious.
good food but very extensive
Great atmosphere and breakfast!
Delicious. Definitely get a scone!
Always a nice place for breakfast.
fantastic food and great ambience place. Great price
Really amazing staff. They were extremely efficient and attentive. Loved the jasmine green tea and scone.
Excellent food and great atmosphere
Good food,great atmosphere, friendly staff.
Good food but slow
Cosies is quite cozy. The Coronation chicken sandwich is my fave and is well worth the price. Always order the scone and jam for dessert. Amazing. The decor is tacky charming with a true UK feel. The staff are as warm as a cup of Earl Grey tea. Stop by for a relaxing meal. you wont regret it.
Such a lovely, little spot in downtown Brockville. Came here for breakfast before a morning train ride and the food was delicious, the service was delightful, and the dining room is lined with fun, kitschy teapots. They also sell locally made cosies and greeting cards, and bake daily scones which are easy to take as breakfast to-go. I will definitely be making a point of coming back here again.
Terrific decor and better food. Authentic tea room experience!
Awesome food! Welcoming atmosphere! Friendly staff! Unique experience!
The steak pasty I had was delicious!
English teahouse charm and great scones!
Cute little tea house with good breakfast and several tea choices. The scones were delicious.
I would go back every day !
Awesome taste. Great ambience and very friendly service. Nicely decorated place which takes you to a typical British place back home. Really enjoyed it and will repeat often.
Cozy little english tea shop
Absolutely delicious breakfast. Do not miss the Full English Breakfast! Great selection of teas and scones as well, all just as delicious as the last. So glad we tried this place.
Great food super friendly service. Nice place for a family.
Cute little place. Great breakfast.
The breakfast was not the best but all the girls are very nice.
Delicious British food. Most of it made from scratch on the premises. Excellent gluten-free options too.. you dont feel that you are compromising. The owners are friendly and welcoming. A great little spot not to be missed for breakfast or lunch or just a cuppa.
Very quaint, British-styled breakfast cafe. Feels like youre in someones home, not a restaurant. Tea selection is varied and the food is great. A nice little corner spot for Sunday brunch in downtown Brockville.
Wonderful tea and scones, and delightful breakfast spot.
Small but quaint British restaurant. Food and service are very good. The scones, clotted cream which are both home made are second to none.
Good stuff there
Love the Yorkshire tea and enjoy the food The place is always clean Staff very friendly
We have been to Cosies several times since they opened. Service is often slow but with a smile and the food was great so we kept coming back. Our last visit was not as pleasant. It was a busy weekday mid-morning but we found a table for the two of us. The server only said 2? (No greeting), tossed menus on the table, and walked away. And never came back. We waited for nearly 20 minutes while she took orders and served tables that came in after us and - after trying and failing to get her attention - we left and went to Jon s. A very disappointing visit.
Quality breakfast restaurant. Prices are good. Little longer wait time compared to an average breakfast place but once you get the food you ll understand .
Had to wait 30 mins only to be told after waiting all that time, that they had no potatoes. It was noon. That was half of the menu gone. The tea was ok but could have made it better at home. There was not a lot of room, the tables are awkward, it was an old sewing table and rickety chairs.
Quaint and Cosie! Great coffee and tea. Breakfast was excellent!
The service is a bit slow, but the food is great! A cute and small restaurant.
Cute place. A touch of Britain First time stopping on our way to Kingston. GF options, homade food . Yum
Tea house
Beautiful place
What a treasure! Whether you have British heritage or not, you can find yourself feeling like royalty here in Cosies Tea Room. Where else in Eastern Ontario can you taste CLOTTED CREAM!?! It is prepared nightly by the charming family that owns this tea room. A heavenly warm scones (choose from many flavours) will arrive at your tablewith your mug or pot of tea. ...do try the optional clotted cream and strawberry jam. Cant wait to return here....worth the 35 minute drive here for the friendly ambience and outstanding food. Thanks, Cosies! !!!
Great place too eat. Service wonderful. Decor brilliant!!!
Awesome
A wonderful place to have a bit of breakfast w my daughter!!!
Fantastic food, tea, scones, clotted cream and jam. Friendly efficient staff. Great atmosphere...very Cosy
