I just ate the best burger that I have had in a long time! The wings are good too! The bonus was a tasty poutine with St. Albert curd! 😋 I was charged $1.25 for mayo on my burger. Every other typical condiment is available at the table. Mayo is not an unusual condiment for a burger, so I would have preferred not to be charged for it.
hi fat les, i have a few things to say 1-the poutine is pretty good 2-the slushies were kinda bad 3-the chicken fingers and fries were good, please dont change anything 4-nice birds and pretty setup 5-nice location and view thats it, youre beautiful just the way you are:3
Food was mediocre - over priced for what you get. The calamari was $19.50 and it was served n the smallest basket with only 8-9 pieces of tiny calamari and some fries. Fish tacos-mediocre at best, wish the food was better as sitting by the water was the best part.
Had the Philly cheese steak with fries. Overall pretty good,steak was slightly over salted. My wife had a club and it's one of her favorite places to go for one in town. Service was great. Decor could be improved but I'm just not picking.
After our boat trip we popped in for lunch. We were lucky to get seated as others had a 10min wait. Food was good. Service was good. Will be back and try it again on a less busier day. The view and surroundings were very good.
A very well located waterfront restaurant for a relaxed summer evening is never a bad thing. Throw in some cocktails and poutine and you can't go wrong. You can find almost anything you want on the menu; burgers, poutine, wraps, fries, nachos, salads and more but the riverside view on the 1000 Island region is the main attraction - it's a very good one.
Very good place, we were quick to be seated and waitress was attentive! We never felt we were forgotten about food was good. I had the Greek wrap and the chicken was very tender and had qreat taste. My friend had the fish and chips and it was also great. Fish was tender and batter was crisp. Overall a place we would return too.
We passed by here for lunch after enjoying a day at the Aquatarium (around the harbour’s bend). The staff weren’t as conscious of our being present and waiting for a table, as I felt they could have been. It took several minutes before we flagged someone down to be seated and by that time, a passerby walked in and seated themselves at the table we’d been patiently waiting for! It is a family friendly restaurant but there aren’t any really healthy menu choices for kids, all are served with a heaping piles of fries. I ordered a Smoked Meat sandwich ($19.95) that there menu says is “piled high on rye” but was such a disappointment… You’re picturing a real smoked meat sandwich only to get what looks like a packed lunch for a child. It did not fill me up at all, I was still hungry afterwards, and terribly put off by the French fries cover in 80% of the plate. Our server was nice and able to meet our demands. I think the restaurant needs to work at incorporating their printed press with the food that actually comes out of the kitchen. P.S. It is a nice spot for lunch though and a great place to watch passing barges/boats.
Google says open until 8. I drove by at 6:30 pm and it was dark. Nobody home!

How old does oil have to be before you dump it? How many times you use the same oil to fry things? And have the decency to charge these prices? Food is dangerous to your health avoid at all cost!

Great spot. Terribly slow and inattentive service.
We came here on a Sunday just before 5pm, and were told the restaurant was closed. The hours on their Google listing said open until 8pm. We did not appreciate being lied to, and we will never again do business with any Fat Les location.
Beautiful location, but average food & terrible prices. The one in Barrhaven, Ottawa is so much better.
The scenery is really good but the food wasnt good at all, really small portions with lots of fries but they are really friendly.
The owner and staff were amazing !! Keep up the great work and i definitely would come back!

Best poutine Ive had... And Ive had a lot of poutine... I bleed poutine. Weve also had sandwiches and wraps and theyve all been amazing. The location/views are amazing right on the shores of the St. Lawrence. The service has always been amazing, accommodating to our two dogs and always willing to go the extra mile to find shade for the customers or water for the pups. Overall, if youre in Brockville, head down to the waterfront and sit and enjoy an amazing meal.

Awesome little place.
One star is generous. First and last time coming here. We ordered bruschetta and it the bread was soggy and the tomatoes were out of a can. No dressing on the Cesar wrap and ice cream was freezer burnt. Do not waist your time coming here. It s a waste of a nice location
Hot summer day and empty patio? Dont even think on getting ice cream from this place because the workers wont allow you to sit down and enjoy artificially flavored melting ice cream.
Brought small groups to town many times to see the aquarium close by , have gone to this restaurant afterwards,Both take out and sit down . It s convenient, never had a problem. Service was maybe slow but our group enjoyed the scenery and didn t mind at all. Maybe if you re in a rush you wouldn t appreciate it.
Very nice spot to have a bite to eat! Spent some time here with the kids watching ships and playing in the park. Had a snack and it was very good! This guy here knows his stuff Lester Dogs and St. alberts Curds!
If i could give 0 stars I would.. Came in today for a poutine to go.. 1- i got a much smaller portion compared to what others had ordered around me.. I even asked if my box was suppose to be bigger and they said yes.. 2- it was so soggy and cold i took one bite and threw it in the garbage it was horrible I was even nice and gave a tip!!! Never again.

Worst place to eat. Will never come back. You order food but you are not allowed to sit down and eat your food at the tables. For the price you pay for food there and you cant sit down. I highly do not recommend this place plus the service is not good at all.

They said it was too hot to serve ice cream, so we got a slushy instead. What a waste of money I think they had them r sitting on the counter. We threw it in the garbage two sips later, we went to to Cowens for some quality ice cream. Fat les should be ashamed for the quality of food served out that window..
A very nice place to sit down and have a bite to eat while watching the boats on the water. Not too many places you can go for a view like that with great food and service!
We were here yesterday. Your waitress was very polite, attentive and the Waterfront Nachos were sooo good! The beer was cold and the view was so relaxing. Prices are very reasonable!
It was not the best experience; however, the staff was super appologetic. There was definitely a few wrinkles associated with their season recently starting. It took forever for the food to come (over an hour) but the food redeemed itself. Then staff were super apologetic and accommodating but have some work to do. We will be back and hope they have found their swing when we return.

Went here tonight with my little guy (18 months) had the fish tacos and a grilled cheese. The food was good, but the service was really great. The waitress was very accommodating and interacted a lot with my little guy which he appreciated. Very attentive to us, and made the experience enjoyable. Will be back!

The cost of food, is a little much had the deep fried curd for the cost and the quality, I don t recommend having the curd the spices they use are too strong and not worth the 15$
Went there for a light lunch and we werent disappointed. The food and staff are always great! Beautiful patio (bring a sweater if theres wind, can get a bit chilly)... Love the view and the atmosphere.
I was just there, waited 15 minutes to order my drinks paid and tipped. Sadly service was not great waited another 10 minutes for a milk shake that was never served and then was ignored and given dirty looks by the staff. Will not be back
The food does not Taste good . My first time being there was horrible I would never recommend this place.
Was there this weekend and it was a disaster. The most rude and careless staff, server wouldn t listen to our requests, waited 15 minutes to even get our orders taken, then waited another 25 minutes to receive the food. By then it was cold, as if they made it and put it aside for us to wait. We then heard 3 servers raising their voice with other customers! Unbelievable and disgusting.
One of the worst restaurant Ive ever been to way overpriced food and the service was terrible staff was rude iwould not recommend this place to anyone.

Unfortunate that one group of people who broke the law are taking it out on this exemplary small business. Les and the staff are amazing and go above and beyond for their customers, and everything from food to service is always impeccable. Real patrons know this.

Great place, ignore all the recent one star reviews. They were posted by angry muslims that have never been to the restaurant because a friend of theirs was charged for shooting fireworks into the seating area, which burned customers, some children. To those people, you are pathetic.
Great food, staff is super friendly ! The best views in Brockville!! Definitely a must stop if you are driving through but . Don t forget the ice cream !!!

Crly was responsable for us having a great experience. + great food + many options on drinks, specially the cider Strongbow, that is hard to find in restaurants. There is space to update furniture, bc the spot is fantastic. You would attract much more clients!

Was good, service good as well. A bit expensive for us, but the food was good. The view is great and cant be beat! Parking: Parking is interesting so go early so you get a spot.
Came to get some fish and chips but they were unfortunately out when I arrived. Nice view of the river but you will see seagulls hovering around your food often.

I lost my phone while visiting the waterfront last night, we are from Barrie Ontario. Two people who work at this restaurant went above and beyond to help me find it. The restaurant was closed, but the gentleman who was off work, spent time trying to help me, his supervisor/ manager was willing to come down to the restaurant on her time off to help as well. We didnt get to eat here, this visit, but will definitely be having a bite, next time. Good Afternoon Meg, My name is Susan Day and one of your employees was helping me last evening - to find my phone. I didnt get his name, he said he had just starting working there. I wanted to thank him for all of his help, he went above and beyond. I was grateful for his efforts. As we drove home (we are from Barrie, Ontario) we agreed he should be Employee of the Month. Please let him know THANK YOU. Also, thank YOU, Meg, for being willing to come down to the waterfront on your day off to help me find my phone. I apologize for bothering you, and having you set out only to find it in my husbands pocket. (Oh my goodness, he will NEVER live that down). Waited over 45 minutes for our order. Fries were burnt. Steak was alright. There was a hair in my food. Nice drinks, though. Good view of the river. Friendly staff.
Gorgeous venue with water on both sides. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly and attentive even though she had lots of customers. She said she loved her job and it showed. The food arrived quickly and was good. Our friends really liked their burgers. The coconut shrimp were delicious.
Ordered a take out for lunch and thought it takes less time. Apparently they serve people dine-in with priority, we had to wait for over 40 min to get a burger and hot dog. Would not go there anymore.

First time visiting this evening. Great location, very friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious ceasars (drinks) and nachos. Also had a Greek salad and it was tasty too. They play good music on patio. I will be back !
We stopped today for lunch, food was decent, the girl who served us was very nice. The problem is that we had to wait almost an hour before we could get our food (fish taco and chicken quesadilla). The problem is the kitchen, too small for the people they serve.
Extremly dissapointed, service is very slow, food... let say that 1 star is too much, deep fried zucchini no good, fries were way over cooked and smoke meat was lacking meat, half of it was just ok and the other half had 1 slice of meat on it, we showed it to the waitress and she did nothing about it. There ice cream is poor quality and expensive. NEVER AGAIN
Very disappointed. Been here a few times. The service is slow. The food is less than satisfactory. Fries are always way overcooked. Over priced for the quality for sure! Nice location but thats all. Ice cream is cheap tasting and such a small amount for the price. They need to bump up their game or they will lose more customers. I will not be back unfortunately.
Took wife out for birthday he didnt anything big took drive and found thi place on water front staff and owner very friendly enjoyed a notcho plater and delicious coconut shrimp dish then finished off with one of their icecream cones great place bringing back some family members thumbs up
Dropped in Sunday at noon, quickly sat down, with a glass of water within minutes because of high temperatures . Our server recommended philly steak in a wrap, which was very good, we also ordered the marghita pizza which was also perfect thin crust, she recommended a blonde 1000 island beer another great recommendation,,we will return
First time here and Ill be back. I got the waterfront burger and sweet potato fries. The burger is massive (couldnt finish it and I eat a lot), the fries were perfectly done, service was friendly, and bonus: theres lots of good people watching around
Now this was a nice place comparing to Moose McGuires. We were seated right away, very nice view plus awesome music. The waitress here didnt make a fuss about us wanting just a drink to start of course we were right outside so a plus right there. Food was good, but their Nachos need a little work. By the time it got to the table, they were cold. Its all about timing. Not much to say because it was good smiling service, and the waitress was alone for maybe about 6 tables full. She still had a smile and knew where she was going with her plates. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Oh and it was our first time, and we even went back the next day. Only 4 stars I would give it five but like I said Nachos were cold.

Best fish and chips in a very long time. Many places try to rush things and fry before the oil is hot enough resulting in doggy oily fish. The team at Fat Les know what they are doing. Will go back again next year.

Worst possible experience!!!! Placed our order, after about 25 minutes they asked to replace one of the items in our order as they ran out. Said ok no problem. After another 15 minutes, finally spoke up and asked what was taking so long. THEY FORGOT OUR ORDER!!!! Took all of 5 minutes to make it. Did not get the replacement food, fries were soft and unseasoned. Definitely don t recommend this establishment.
Worst service ever!!!!! Waiting 40+ minutes for an order they forgot even AFTER asking us if the could substitute something in our order!!!! Finally got the food, was ok but they never gave us the substitution. Fries were not cooked well and bland. With the amount of servers going in and out serving the patio patrons, you would think someone would have noticed us standing there for that length of time.
Had the fish and chips. The fries were perfect, just perfect. They had a deeper brown that gives a richer flavour than pale/golden without getting any burnt notes. The fish was the same (delicious) colour, and it was flaky and moist. The batter seemed a little tougher than some of the lighter batters Ive had, but the texture wasnt entirely unwelcome. All in all, delicious food with a beautiful backdrop. Would be willing to make a detour to this place if I was in town.
Don t listen to Karen...who actually posted a negative twice (we heard you the first time) there s always a bad apple. They re working out the kinks but I have faith it will be another great addition to the fat les family.
