6 Broad St, Brockville, ON K6V 6Z4, Canada
My husband and I went here for a wedding /reception. They had cocktail hour before the reception, the view of the river/ blockhouse was so beautiful. Well we enjoyed a nice drink, The restaurant staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. I had chicken and my husband had prime rib. It was all very good. It was our first time ever being there, and so would recommend.
Apparently, it's a difficult thing to find a good meal in Brockville. We were driving through... and stopped to order food and beverages with our daughter. Nachos, chicken and fries was our order. The beverages showed up... but after waiting for over an hour, we then asked the waitress how much longer. She said the kitchen staff were having issues and that there were 3 tables ahead of us. The 2 servers seemed overwhelmed, there was no manager on duty, the bar was filled with last nights dirty dishes and glasses. It seemed like the place was in a downward spiral and had definitely seen better days. After an hour and half of waiting for food. We told our server that we had to go..... we cancelled our food order... and drove elsewhere to eat. The service was great. But that's it.
It seems as if they are understaffed. The server that we had was very sweet, but we had to wait an extremely long time for our food, which was 2 salads and wings. The wings arrived cold, my salad was terrible, missing ingredients, clementine segments from a can, not what we were expecting. The server apologetically took the food back. We noticed several dirty tables, one with a full plate of food, the sandwich had one bite taken out of it. (That should have been a clue). The serving station had stacks of dirty plates, one table in the centre of the room was used to gather the dirty dishes. These dirty tables were like that for well over an hr and may still be in this condition. The mood in the room was not happy, seemed like several unhappy diners. It’s too bad because the view is beautiful.
Avoid. We were at the Aquatarium and had a little over an hour before we needed to get going and since we were hungry and this place was right there, we thought "Why not?" Here's why not... We arrived to what appeared to be an empty restaurant but maybe there were a bunch of customers way up front. Who knows. Only one group of four left while we were there. We waited for 5 or 7 minutes for someone to acknowledge our group of 5 adults, one child and a baby. We were asked if we'd like to sit inside and we opted for that. We got seated and were the only occupied table. After waiting again with our menus for maybe 10 minutes a very pleasant waiter apologizes for the wait. He takes our drink order and we also give him our food order at the same time. Well into another 10 minutes, our drinks arrive. Most difficult was the Shirley Temple. Everything else was beers and soft drinks. Another 10 or so minutes with no contact with the waiter, two of our party we ready to go as they were getting close to when they had to leave. Somehow, as they're getting cash out to pay for the drinks, food shows up. The food was barely warm. We had three orders of fish and chips, a club sandwich, and a plate of chicken nachos. My chips were cold and well past their prime. So were everyone else's chips. Two fish were warm and one was hot. The nachos were well past their prime. I'll include a photo. You'll want to zoom in. I have no issue with slow service on a busy day. I have no issue with food that is not up to par when the place is packed. That is not what was going on here. We asked for the bills (2) and paid immediately after finishing the food - we were starving at this point.
Nice view. Food just ok. Restaurant was very short-staffed when we brought our guests there for lunch on Friday. We had fish & chips, nachos, strawberry salad, drinks. Chips were sadly cold. Nachos came very much after the meal, as apparently the first batch was made and allowed to get cold … so server had them redone. Would have much preferred nachos before the meal as an appetizer, which is how we ordered them. Fish itself was good but batter was quite lemon-peppery … just OK. And then when it came time to pay the tip options started at 18% which smells of 'tourist trap'. We will not be returning.
The food is satisfactory, though it doesn't quite reach the heights of culinary excellence. While the dishes are decent, they lack a certain flair that would make them truly memorable. On the positive side, the restaurant itself is well-regarded for its ambiance and charm. The views from the establishment are absolutely stunning, providing a picturesque backdrop that enhances the dining experience. However, securing a table by the window can be quite challenging due to its popularity among guests. If you’re hoping to enjoy the scenery while you dine, be prepared to arrive early or make a reservation in advance to increase your chances of getting that coveted seat. Overall, it’s a good spot worth visiting, especially for those who appreciate a beautiful setting.
Ita got a great atmosphere once you figure out how to get in. The outdoor patio pictured here was closed.. we almost left thinking it was closed down til we asked a local how to get in. We ended up having a pizza with green onions for the first time which was interesting... The white wine sangria was tasty! Was a nice view of the water from the outside upstairs patio.
I don't know if I am super hungry or the fish & chips are just super good. The fish is fresh, crispy outside and cook to perfection. Sitting outdoor over viewing the harbour with gentle breeze glaze throught you is just amazing. Unfortunately, I am in a rush, so no time to have a beer. Next time. BTW, that day fish and chips is $5 off, awesome.
Ate here today 2 weeks before Christmas , very short staffed . The ladies waiting tables did their best . Took an hour to get our food . Burgers were quite good, chicken cranberry Brie was tasteless . French fries leave a lot to be desired.
We attended a wedding which was catered by Moose McGuires here in Brockville, The food was simply amazing , the service was on point and they made sure everyone was taken care of. If you are looking to book them for an event I highly suggest you do so. Looking for a night out they are also the place to go Food , Staff Atmosphere stunning !
Absolutely awesome service super friendly staff food was amazing highly recommended for any occasion weather it be for wedding or family or just a good time can t wait to go back
We were there for a wedding our meal absolutely delicious,we will definitely be back
I attended a wedding event catered by moose McGuires over the summer. The food was wonderful. Perfectly cooked and flavourful. For over 100 guests the food was served almost all together and served hot.
Absolutely amazing food! I highly recommend going if you haven t been there before My fiancee and I loved our meal and definitely plan on going again! Thank you for such a beautiful night and an unforgettable experience
I went there for my uncles wedding reception. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and polite. My fiancé and I both had chicken. We recommend it.
Very good experience for lunch. Superb 180° view. Good quality food, fair prices.
We stopped for a drink only and the Beaus was great. Server good. We sat on the patio and our enjoyment of the view and of our experience was very much hampered by how disgustingly dirty the plexiglass was. Not only did it look like it hadnt been cleaned in ages but there were dead insects in crevices here and there. The people seated next to us seemed to enjoy their food but, if we had ordered lunch, I would have had a difficult time truly enjoying it. Pick up the cleanliness several levels and we will be back.
Great welcome from the waitress. We had a great time as a family and had a great time. The Big Moose Burger is really delicious. Meals with a view of the water. Reasonable price. I recommend this restaurant.
Avoid. Seating area dirty, service lackluster, food very average. I can only imagine the state of the kitchen... The perfect location for a decent restaurant gone to waste.
Food was cold. Service was incredibly lackluster although she was friendly, just not very adequate. Felt like all the servers were there to gossip to one another and not serve the customers. The food itself despite being cold I will admit was still good. After the overall experience I would not go back.
Nice place, good cleanliness, very slow service
It took over one hour to get our food, and we didnt order something out of the ordinary. Even getting water took more than 30 minutes (we had to go and ask for it). Not to mention that nobody asked us if we want a glass for our beers.
I had a very good meal here the fish was delicious. 5 starts especially to our server today Eva I think her name was very nice and kind you re lucky to have her as a part of your team.
It took 40 minutes to get our 2 plates even if the place was almost empty at lunch time with what seems to be enough staff. The fries were not fresh. Its not the experience wee were hoping for.
Damn bees.
Where do i start? Took 20 minutes to get seated because theyre understaffed. Get to our table and it wasn t cleaned yet. They brought us dirty sharing plates. The calamari looked like fried chicken feet. Pizza was disgusting. Pesto looked like spinach. Who can go wrong with fish and chips? THEM! Only DECENT thing was the crispy shrimp which they only had enough for one order. What restaurant doesnt have enough in the freezer? Its a busy location! Tourists always stop by! My family and I left the food as is, paid the bill and drove to a nearby mcdonalds instead. DO NOT GO! My six year old was grossed out. Says a lot. Save your money and time.
Service was very slow!! Food was just ok.
We were here for a dinner the food was 10 out of 10 for everything. Would definitely be back here.
We had a delicious dinner there on Saturday..I had the chicken and my husband had the beef. The plate was very well presented and food was sooo amazing. Service was very good as well. Our first time here and what a great location on the water and patio overlooking the boats on the st lawerence. We will definitely be back. Thanks again guys. Excellent restaurant..highly recommended!
What a disgusting place I will be passing on the word to my friends ..carpets inside the restaurant have duct tape covering the rips ..we thought oh well we are sitting on the patio should be fine ..my goodness after looking around I felt so dirty sitting in there I ended cancelling my bruschetta order over $20 May I say and they brought it out anyways after 45 mins ..so wasn t gonna make a fuss and just paided for it and just wanted get the heck out of there ..stay away my friends I would never wanna see what their kitchen looks like urggg this is by far the worst restaurant experience I ve had you would think they could at least sweep the floors and tidy up a bit and using serviettes to balance the table legs ..this place needs to be investigated ASAP apparently heard from a local that they were shut down for health and safety concerns a few months ago ..gross my first negative review for any restaurant they should be shut down asap I wish I could give 1/2 star
The server was very nice but the food took a very long time to come out. Received apologies. My pizza crust was so hard I couldnt eat it. Asked for no onions no peppers. No problem, but they came on the pizza. Fish and chips. Fries were cold. Fish was ok. Didnt charge for the pizza and was gracious about it. As we walked out another group was complaining about the terrible food and slow delivery. Wouldnt recommend
I absolutely love the food here, the service was excellent I don t think I ve ever had such good service before. My waitress was amazing and deserves everything. 10/10 for gabbi:)!
We went to this restaurant because the site is enchanting but we had a little fear because ours was rather low on Google. Unfortunately we dont have a great story either, the service is very disorganized. We asked for water at the beginning, after the 3rd request which was later in the evening, finally we managed to have one out of 4 guests present at the table had this privilege. The dishes were OK, however my burger was barely warm and the squid was very poor quality. We were asked if we wanted the starter and then the meals which we chose, it was perhaps a bad choice because we waited more than 2 hours before having our dishes, as an excuse, there had a party of 16 people which was very few considering all the customers present and the staff available. To be fair, they credited us for the meals, we paid for the drink and the entry, which I find honorable in this situation.
While waiting at the hostess stand (we were the only people in line), 4 staff walked by us without greeting us. We waited more than 5 minutes and then approached a waitress about getting seated. We told her we had been waiting a while and multiple staff members had walked past us. She said the hostess will be with you and was dismissive and went back to what she was doing (which was 10 feet away from the hostess stand and not actively serving a customer or preparing a drink as she was standing at the bar). The restaurant was 3/4 empty, so it s not like they were too busy. She wasn t going to tell the hostess we were waiting to be seated. So we left. Then noticed the 3.3 stars online and felt we had dodged a bullet there.
Didnt have time to get to the meal. 2nd time was a try. We waited at the entrance for someone to deign to give us a place for at least 10 minutes, and then? Nothing. VERY disappointing for a marina that attracts boaters. I dont recommend it at all unfortunately. On the other hand, we discovered a magnificent micro brewery a few meters away
Wow what a crazy menu, being on Keto this is the only restaurant I have ever been that don t offer wings that are not available plain with no bather so I said oh so all frozen wings? They said no made fresh to order hahaha ok then can you just not add bather? Answer was no really guess you lied and they are frozen really? Only other option would be a salad Caesar salad and guess what again they don t have Caesar dressing with their Caesar salad!!! OMG if you are carb sensitive don t eat here.
The food was not good and were not picky. And it wasnt cheap. 4$ to add beans to quesadilla and there was very little added... Service was inexistent and it was quiet. Ruined a very nice special family outing. I dont recommand. Atmosphere and ambiance were nice though.
Terrible service. An hour and a half for 2 simple burgers. The washrooms were disgusting with no toilet paper. And it was not that busy. Do not recommend!
Garbage!! Waitress didn t even seat us. Said she was busy and left us standing there. See ya. From the other reviews I ve read, sounds like we dodged a bullet
So great!! My family and I recently went for dinner at Moose McGuires, and i was very impressed. The service was great, and all staff was extremely friendly. The fish and chips were excellent, and i will definitely be returning! Definitely worth a shot.
A group of 14 met for dinner on The Quarterdeck, a large room with bar and deck above the restaurant. (It would be ideal for parties, bridal or baby showers, reunions, dinner meetings.) Yona looked after the booking. Service by Eva was excellent. A spontaneous survey of the guests showed very high approval ratings of the food, including wraps, salads, calamari and a wide variety of other menu items.
Slow service with barely any customers. Food came out cold. The carpet is disgusting and the deck was sticky. The only good thing is the view.
We waited 20 mins before the server even took our order. When our order was delivered it was wrong. We waiting another 10-15 for the correct meal. Not once were we offered water or had a chance to order another drink. The server would only appear briefly then disappear for long periods. The food was very good and the atmosphere great, only the service was bad.
July 5 at 7:00 or so. Balcony area not busy not very clean. Ordered within 5 mins of being seated. Food was slow in coming and they had to come back to us after about 39 mins e cause they confused our order. Food when it arrived was just okay. It wife s fries were burnt. It is now on my don t go back list. This could be a great place for summer evenings but it just isn t worth the money.
Nice venue overlooking the harbour area. However there were so many dead fish flies and bugs behind the polyethene protection panels it was gross. Needed to be pressure washed and cleaned. Restaurant desperately needs more kitchen staff as we waited 50 mins for 3 salads and a wrap after our drinks arrived. But when they arrived the food was excellent, fresh ingredients with large portions. Older Male waiter/server was excellent though. Friendly and apologized for the slow service. Great place to eat if you arent in a hurry.
My beer glass was Dirty, as well as my sons ice tea glass. Chicken on the Nachos rubber, like diced frozen chicken. No flavor, even tho it was supposed to be spicy chicken Dirty oil witch made our Calamari dark and nasty tasting. The fries looked the same. Please change your oil! Calamari was over cooked and rubbery, Fries not cooked all the way and bland. Hamburger patty over cooked and burnt. Toppings on burger that wasnt advertised Cocktail sauce for Calamari, wasnt horrible but for the price I thought it wouldve had a special sauce or something. Was seating in a nice spot, got our drinks then told we had to move because they had a table of 16 coming in, not a massive deal, but said table didnt come in until we were paying our bill! Our sever was ok but she seemed to not really care. Unfortunately we will not be back. Love getting to sit on the water but not to eat frozen under cooked or over cooked food for that price. Left very hungry!
Wow! We celebrated a reunion of sorts with some out of town and out of country relatives. we were a large group of 28 people. Wonderful menu variety and the service was truly outstanding. Yona was amazing at getting us all served so quickly and efficiently. Food servings were large portions, so we sure had a few take-home boxes getting filled. We will definitely be coming back here in the future. Thanks for making this such a pleasant and memorable occasion. Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate a dairy-free request for us. Parking: We parked in the nearby parking lot. Cost was minimal and the lot was very close which made for an easy walk to the restaurant. There may have been free street parking available, but we did not bother to look for that. Kid-friendliness: We had several young children in our group, and they were easily accommodated. Wheelchair accessibility: Although we did not need this service, there is easy access and an elevator for use.
I really enjoyed the food service was great and a great atmosphere.
Beers cold, views great. Service is slow. 40% chance you get what you ordered. 35% chance it takes less than an hour if there are more than five customers.
Bus
Had dinner there july 18 and it seems the place was out of everything. Order my wine out of stock . Order quesadillas out of jalapeños had a wrap instead. Service started off good but then went down from there. I think she may have been new or just overwhelmed. Just disappointed that everything I ordered was out of stock.
Can not thank Mel at Moose enough! We have a private event party and she went above and beyond for it! Very organized and well taken care of! All the appy spreads were amazing and so good!
Fish and chips was ok but not fantastic. Fries were all right. The club sandwich burger was pretty good. Location is nice. Service was very nice but the waitress didnt tell us about the 1$ charge to get mayonnaise and the 4$ charge to get waffle fries which irritated me a bit. And the price is horrendous. 25$ per plate which is too much for the quality of the food.
DO NOT COME HERE!!!! There are mice running around the restaurant!! Came here the other day with my boyfriend not too long ago, & I saw a LIVE MOUSE scampering around the restaurant headed into the kitchen. I was going to pull my phone out to record but it had ran into the kitchen, it s probably still in the restaurant contaminating all the already disgusting food. I felt extremely sick after drinking the coffee, machines looked disgusting & I doubt they are regularly cleaned. I m seriously planning on calling pest control AND food safety inspectors to this place because I don t even know how it is still running. Hate to say this is probably one of the worst restaurants I ve EVER been to. I am DISGUSTED.
Super rude staff
With no other options last minute on a Saturday night, we called Moose McGuire s and spoke to Yona (GM), who promised she could feed the hockey players and families. Yona and her team were able to deliver Kid-friendly and Allergy-friendly meals on short notice and without much of a delay. Meals were delicious; players and parents happy, we will plan Moose McGuire s when we come back. Thank you to Yona & the team for taking care of our team! Kid-friendliness: Moose McGuire s offers a variety of kid-friendly options for any sports team.
Really nice service!!
We were on our way back from a road trip a couple of weeks ago, so we stopped here due to the vicinity to the waterfront. Waited 40 minutes for 4 burgers, not sure exactly why since there was barely anyone in the restaurant. The burgers were the driest we ve ever had. I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon (extra charge for both the cheese and the bacon) and I never got the bacon. I can t believe we spent 115 dollars for this.
Stopped in for lunch on 3.2.24. Ordered wings, another person ordered fish and chips and the third person ordered the special which was mashed potatoes, fried chicken and vegetables. I think we all enjoyed the food for what it was. The wings were a bit salty but otherwise ok. No complaints. One person in the group is a very slow eater. After some time, the light above the table kept going on and off intermittently. I don t know if that was our cue to get out. It wasn t busy at all so we sat there until he had finished his food . Overall, average experience, like at any other restaurant of this caliber.
Just awful! We came here after Mermaids and the restaurant was nearly empty. Regardless, we waited 40 mins for food. My bacon was raw, chicken was cold, kids didn t get the veggies with their meals. Our request for water went ignored. When we asked for the bill, the server cleared several tables before getting it for us despite the kids being clearly ready to leave. I couldn t believe it. I would have not left any tip but I was raised better than that.
Very slow service although the restaurant was not that busy and plenty of staff walking around. Our waiter was excellent! Food quality was terrible! Burgers were ok but cold! Soup tasted like it came out of a can! Kids pizza tasted like it came frozen out of the box! I was here a year ago and the food was much better. Would not recommend!
Our waitress was good but seemed overwhelmed. To me it didn t seem busy. When our food came all the wings were cold . Every one was hungry so ate them. She said she would fix our bill with a bit of compensation and she didn t. Won t be back for a while. Sad that it was a weekly thing.
Had the nachos and sat outside. We were super hungry but it didn t take too long. The portions were so big that we couldn t finish them but there were almost no beans between the nachos.
Spicy pepperoni on the pizza/ gravy on our poutin very peppery !!! Service very slow!! They were polite!!! Only came to our table 2xs once for ordering and bring drinks second time for bringing food !! We had to go find a waitress for our bill!!! Will we go back ??? Very doubtful .
Amazing food and atmosphere. Staff is all super friendly and amazing. Had a big celebration for my daughters birthday and it was a great experience
What can I say? 5 stars
Family day weekend on the Saturday at Noon and we are told by the server its just her and 1 cook. Sounds like terrible management. We were 3 families with kids sat separately cause they didnt have a table big enough no big deal. But took over an hour to get our food. Server was nice enough and not her fault unless shes the manager and planned to have 2 staff on a holiday Saturday. Now to the food. Meh at best. Burger was bland and alittle dry. Fries were OK. Perogies were good. Chicken fingers alittle overcooked but not bad. Certainly not worth the wait. We will go elsewhere next time.
Service was great, food was good!
Wing night is fantastic, and the wings are fantastic. Definitely worth the visit.
I have been here a few times. Great place in the summer with the deck overlooking the river. We dropped in last night with the intention of watching the Leaf s game. The front room of the restaurant is set up like a sports bar with televisions ringing the bar and a giant television on the back wall. When we entered there was a tennis match on all of the TVs that nobody was paying attention to. It was wing night and seemingly everyone was only there for the discounted wings. We requested that the bartender change one of TVs to show hockey game. She consulted the manager and apparently that was impossible. We were informed that they share a TV package with another organization and that to change the channel would require someone to go three floors upstairs and furthermore that location three floors up was not accessible. We were also advised that none of the televisions could be adjusted individually. We declined to order food, finished our beers and relocated to 1000 Island Brewing Company, which is nearby on King Street. 1000 Island Brewing Company has a proper set up for watching sports as well as beverages and food at a reasonable price. By all means go to Moose McGuire s for the view but stay away if you would like to watch sports with friends. My one star is for the sport s experience only.
The food was very good, but the waiting time was terribly long We were there at a time when there were not many guests and we still waited for our meal for almost an hour. Besides, it was very delicious
Great food, large portions and friendly service. Would definitely recommend.
Dont come here if you are in a hurry, waited 1 hour for our plates
Great Location, okay food, rough service. Service is often slow/non-existent. Last meal took around 1 hour to arrive, total for time for lunch was 2.5 hours. Service has been consistently rough over the past several years and getting worse. Food is hit or miss either burnt and dry or bang on. Location is amazing though.
Wednesday wing night $7.00 / LBS wings were good and i liked the sauces, ill definitely be back Food
Had a very nice lunch at Moose McGuires on the waterfront in Brockville today. My wife had white sangria and a Swiss mushroom burger, both above expectations. I had a nice beer and the specialty pizza which was excellent. Our server Megan was fantastic, very friendly and efficient. Top marks for her. Great views over the river are worth the trip. Enjoyed it very much and would highly recommend
Good food but very expensive
We ordered the Farmers Plate appetizer, the prosciutto was old, discoloured, smelled rancid and was inedible. One of the other cured meats was also not fresh, passed on it as well to avoid any potential food poisoning. The chutney was not chutney at all, but rotten chopped tomatoes, again could not be eaten. Alerted the waitress to concerns regarding the Farmers Plate and she said shed take it to the kitchen....but nothing came of it, not even an apology. A few of the items listed on the menu were not available as they did not have all the necessary ingredients available to prepare them, probably a good thing rather than have more expired items in stock and being used on the main dishes too. Food is overpriced for quality that you get served.
Waited 2 hours for food, waitress blamed it on the chef. Waitress also convinced us to buy another beer because she already opened it . Very poor service.
Awful! We left after an hour and still no food. Very rude and confrontational staff! Avoid!
Lousy service, lacklustre food, much left to be desired. Tread with caution if you plan on dining in this tourist trap. The interior, while interesting, the same can be said about lipstick on a pig.
1 and a half hour for food, nahhh, and getting meals at different intervals was ridiculous
Wheelchair accessibility: I have no idea if theres an elevator, the main option is (relatively steep) stairs Food
Great food. Tegan was our server and she was excellent. Overall great time with my family.
A friend and I visited thinking a nice meal by the water would be in order. As we were waiting to be seated the bartender made a snide remark which we were puzzled by but thought we would just ignore it. They were out of the beer we wanted and the pulled pork sandwich we were ordering was to come on a pretzel bun..but we were informed they were also out of those and when I asked what the substitute was, the server (the same rude man from the bar) said..a brioche bun. I know that a brioche bun is too soft and delicate to handle a wet pulled pork, so we switched to a wrap. After an hour, still no food in sight (while others seemed to be receiving theirs) we asked the server if the food was coming his response was sometime this afternoon . Needless to say we paid for our drinks and left letting him know what we thought of his rude behaviour. I have never been treated so condescendingly and from what I saw of the food served around us greasy pub food. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the waterfront location.
Really, REALLY bad. Terrible service by goateed waiter, rude, 1230 pm and theyd run out of the Pilsner, the buns for a sandwich, wraps non existent so we were offered a soft breadroll BUT - food never did arrive etc etc etc ...See attached photo as original review mysteriously disappeared
What a great place to have a lunch with your family! Great service! Great place! Great food!!! What a wonderful place to be!!! And kids friendly!
Try paying your staff! Awful management
We arrived at 12:14, ordered our food without any drinks. 15min later, the waitress came to tell us that they didn t have my choice, had the choose something else but they also didn t have it. I ended up choosing fish and chips. Our food was served, 1h10min later, we were about to leave and starving. The fish n chips was so bland, no flavour at all. Hubby s chicken wings were so sour and not good at all. I will never set a foot at this restaurant.
My chicken wings came raw (pink inside) and were sent back, lost my appetite aftet that. The kids pasta was terrible, no sauce, no taste. Better food from a Pizza Pizza. The patio and the boats were nice, and the server was good.
I went there July 10th and was very disappointed in the food quality. I had been before in October to which the food was way better. I do understand that one of grills was not working causing no pizza available but wouldnt that give them an opportunity to better other dishes. Our server was very good and running around like crazy serving way too many tables. I complained about the calamari being like rubber to which she said would take off the bill, she didnt. The host seemed to ignore us after we complained, very poor. I will not be going here anytime soon.
Excellent location and food on the patio overlooking the boats and St Lawrence seaway!! Service by Yona fantastic!!
Extremely slow and barely any customers. They were out of many drinks. No pizza or nachos. We ordered fish and chips, when our dinner came an hour later we asked for tartar sauce...waitress said we are out and that why its not on your plate Extremely rude. Table beside us got 2 orders raw wings and walked out. Dont waste your money!!!
Last year they seated us on the patio as we asked, around 6pm, to be told 10 minutes later we had to move because they were closing this patio section. And they could not keep us because there was no other table ..! We had to leave. This year, they said they can not accept groups of 5. We did not feel welcomed.
I brought my grandchildren to the Aquatarium which is an excellent place to bring children. The only bad thing about it is this restaurant. It is the only place thats close to eat and it doesnt have a kids Menu. We had to leave. Plus I walk with a cane and the front floor is so slippery that it kept sliding out from underneath me. Would not recommend. The Ice Cream Cafe was closed when we went. The service was also a bit lacking, and took some time to seat us in an empty restaurant.
Got charged extra for salads that was included in the meal, didnt even get a glass of water at 35 degrees outside. Not impressed , total for 1 beer, 1 sangria, 1 burger and a wrap, 100$
Cool spot on the river where you can sit on the upper level covered patio and watch the action in the marina. Our server was very nice and quick. The food. It was disappointing. Very Pricy for what tasted like frozen or canned. I guess you pay for the waterfront??? My expectations were higher. Too bad, with good food this place could get very successful. We will not return.
Great food...great service...great portions
Unfortunately the recent price increases on their new menu make this beautiful location unaffordable to the average customer and particularly families. Seems somewhat price gouging during a tourist season which will in turn have a bad outcome in the off season
Not a bad place for a bite and a beer. Balcony has view of the St Lawrence River. Nice place to hang with friend. A bit better than average pub food
Service is awful and slow, chicken wings were ok and the chicken was tough, would not go again
Just left the restaurant and couldnt make it to the parking lot without this review. We were ignored for a while before someone greeted us to be seated. Once we got our table we waited over an hour for our food without any interactions with our waitress. After our meal she never asked how our food was so I thought id write it here. It was soggy and cold! Wouldnt recommend coming here unless you have three hours to spare and you like your food cold. P.s. Someone may want to clean the bathroom aswell
This place is a very nice location, scenic views of the water front. You can watch ships as they sail by. Perhaps it was the time of day, or maybe kitchen having an off day but the wait for the food was quite long. And long for the style of menu. Quite frustrating considering it was some burgers and salad. And the food was only okay. Like maybe fancy pub fare. But again, willing to always forgive as a once of. Maybe try it out? The host did allow us to feed my child food from home as she is a very picky eater, so big hurray and thumbs up for that.
Wonderful place to eat, close yo the water. Loved the back patio. Food
Great location and great view of the St Laurence. Wait staff very nice. The food took forever. Almost a 50 minute wait, kinda difficult when you have small children who are hungry. But the food was good and generous portions. If you don t mind waiting, it is worth it. Food
Went there for lunch at lunch hour, there were probably 7 tables before us, then it took us 1.5 hours for waiting for any food!! No any snack offered during this 1.5 hours waiting. My children become hungry and we had to eat our own crackers. Never ever go there again in future.
I ordered food and a margarita, waited...waited .ordered another margaritas,,,waited,,,,,ordered a 3rd margaritas....1 hour and 15 min pass by and the girl told me she forgot to place my food order...I have no words.....margaritas were good...no comments on the food because I was not served any. Wow! Food
We went to the aquatarium on a weekday and figured it would be easier to stay there and eat at Moose Mcguire. It took 20 min to get our order in and took another 45 min to get our food and another 20 to pay. The pizza and chicken fingers were good but not worth the wait time.
Absolutely terrible. Do not waste your time or money. Waiter couldn t keep our order straight. Never took away menus. We had to get up and get our own utensil caddy. We waited over an hour for our food when there were only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant. Food was okay at best but way way overpriced. So disappointed. We had to get up twice to find our waiter. Once after an hour and ask for eta and ask for the bills. The service was actually unaccessible. Don t waste your hard earned money.
Had lunch here today. Food took 45mins to arrive .I had a cheese burger and fries. My wife had fish and chips. My fries were cold. So was my wifes fish and chips. When you charge $27 for a burger and fries it should come to you hot! The patio had a great view of the harbour. I wouldnt return.
The food was expensive and not very good. I had the Thai wrap and there was nothing Thai about it. It was bland. The fries were good but not hot. Service was super slow. Very unimpressed with this restaurant.
Food was ok. Had Nachos, overcooked. The quality and quantity doesnt match the prices! Jambalaya Fettuccine was really good.
The food was delicious and a big amount the place was super clean and service was amazing just it takes awhile for the food to come but it was rlly worth it
Horrifying health and safety concerns and unprofessional staff. Wouldn t even give it a 1 star if I could give it none I would. When we got there we waited to be seated. I asked for balcony seating they said ok then a very young waitress realized they hadn t cleaned the table. So she asked another server abd she rudely said they ll be fine in here and pointed to an inside table. I said no we d prefer the balcony since that s why we came here. So they hastily cleaned a table for us. They took our order and we waited a very long time to finally get most of our food but no cutlery and had to ask for that but she took off before we could ask for condiments. As we start to eat we notice a live worm crawling on my sons Hamburg. As the waitress came with the last of our food. So we tell her and she takes the plate and disappears and doesn t return. We finally get up and go looking for someone. Finally find a male server who comes to see us. We explain what happened and that we are unable to keep eating. So he says he ll have to ask if we have to pay for food with worms we barely ate. Then he comes out and says we don t have to but that they could have made us more as it was just a worm from the lettuce as the same thing had happened last week as well. No apology no accountability no management to take action nothing and we were very quiet and respectful about such a health concern but we were just so horrified we quietly left.
Awful restaurant, an absolutely dreadful experience! We visited with our children, and the service was incredibly slow. After waiting for a painstaking three hours, with our kids becoming increasingly restless, we inquired about our order, only to be told it was on its way. However, after even more time had passed, they informed us that our meal was unavailable at the moment, which was beyond frustrating. Eventually, they waived the charges and offered us a terrible cheeseburger as a goodwill gesture. But this doesnt erase the fact that we spent nearly three hours with our young children, who were supposed to be enjoying a fun day out. This place should undoubtedly close its doors.
Nice atmosphere and service, but food terrible. Fish and chips greasy and mushy; Caesar chicken salad had dry chicken and maybe 1 piece of bacon and a shake of parmesan for over $25. Will not come back.
Went to eat on a Monday around 1:30pm, after the lunch crowd had thinned somewhat. Our party of 3 were seated after a 6 minute wait. We received our menus and gave our drink order right away. Food prep took about 10 minutes. I had BBQ burger and waffle fries. I think the portion size was just right for me for lunch, and reasonable for the price. We sat on the patio overlooking the tall ship.
The food was fantastic and the service was better! If youre looking for a destination overlooking the marina in Brockville, its a great place to stop.
Love the Wing Nite. I was charged accidentally for an extra pound of Wings but the price was right. The McGyuire Pilsner draft is excellent.
Check out their videos on Facebook absolutely gross mold in their kitchen leaking pipes , don t comment on the video or they will block you just share it like crazy
Wings were good server was our problem. Took 15 minutes to get drink, food came and was good. I was never asked if we wanted another drink or anything else. While waiting for bill we asked for manager said service was slow. She brought over server who argued with us about the complaint. It s a beautiful spot but always slow and tonight even slower not a great experience obviously. Manager gave 20 percent off bill in the end but honesty we were just more surprised by the wait and server.
Terrible owner. The kitchen hasn t been cleaned in years. The place needs to be closed down already.
Saw a video on Facebook. The kitchen is an absolute mess. This place needs to be shut down. You got roaches and mice running around and water leaking everywhere. Mushrooms growing from the walls due to mold. Do not eat here.
Serious cleanliness problems at the restaurant.
Nasty. I haven t been back in a while because last time we went the wings were so undercooked, I m not exaggerating when I say you couldn t eat them. Will never be back after seeing the state of the kitchen. Oh and they will just block you if voice any concern whatsoever.
Have experienced some good food here in the past, unfortunately after seeing that video of how disgusting the kitchen is I will never return again. Owners should be ashamed to allow such gross conditions. That filth was not a few weeks old, it appears to be years worth! You could kill and make people very sick with that mold. Close your doors for good, as you apparently dont care for our well being.
Kitchen is dirty
What a bad place, I was there last week. We called on advance asking if they had place for 20 people. We were so disapointed, we placed our orders and 20 minutes later our waitress (who was very nice) told us there was only 1 steak in the place, no lobster and ran out of a few other things... we continued to wait over 1 hour to get the food we could actualy order. When it arrived was cold and disgusting looking, we refused several plates and some of us left and went to Mc Donalds. Honestly folks save your money and go somewhere else.
Sat there for 30 mins and no one served us so we left. It wasnt busy, there was only 4 other tables. But after what I read on Facebook, Im thankful we didnt eat here, gross! Clean your kitchen, have some pride. Service
Horrifying videos of health and safety issues in the kitchen. Will not eat here again or have food catered to the Aquatarium which is sharing the same kitchen.
Clean and inviting atmosphere. The fish and chips were great and fresh !!!! Food
the phrase tourist trap comes to mind... the food was just OK, but far too expensive for the quality. Very generous portions, but flavours/executions were very very average. Service was nice, but brutally slow. Nice view of the water in a good location with inexpensive parking. would not recommend.
great view food was great, service super
We had dinner on Friday evening. We had the calamari appetizer and my spouse had the soup and I had the Haddock special. Our food was hot, delicious and arrived promptly. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant overlooks the harbour and the view is spectacular. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place to eat or just to have drinks in Brockville.
This was one of the only restaurants open on Easter Sunday. I dont think the waitress wanted to be there. When she sat us at our table the table was not clean. When she cleaned it, she only cleaned half of the table. We assumed she would come back to clean the rest but she did not. The chairs also had food all over them. She gave us very basic service when it came to taking our drinks and food order (we asked for recommendations and she just said most people order....). When she brought the condiments to the table she just kind of threw them on the table turned around and left. The youge lady who brought us our food was much more pleasant and engaging. The food was good, fish and chips. Fish: we could taste the oil it was fried in and the chips: where a too salty. We are from out of town but dont think we will be going back and or recommending to any friends or family. Sorry
We got there at 1230...at least 1/2 hr later we had to get waitress attention to order...then another about 1/2 later we had to get waitress attention for our good ..which then came right out.. not happy with visit at all
Worst restaurant experience. We had a reservation for my moms birthday at 12:30pm and didnt recieve any food until 2:30pm. Most of the meals were incorrect and 0\13 guests enjoyed their meals. We had to ask for them to bring out the cake at 2pm so at least had somthing to eat.
Amazing view and service. Limited menu.
Arrived there yesterday with my 7 year old Daughter for lunch at 12:40 pm and were seated right away. About 15 minutes later, the waitress asked if we wanted something to drink. I ordered a drink and a burger and milk and a pizza from the kids menu. 10 minutes later we had our beverages. And then time passed. The place wasnt that full so I began to get agitated. At 1:15 my drink was done and the glass sat empty on the table while the waitress passed us multiple times. Finally, at approximately 1:35pm, I was asked if I wanted another drink. I responded with Is our food coming? Because weve been here an hour now. Her response word for word, Well, I doubt its been that long but Ill check on it. I ordered another drink. 10 minutes later she returns with my drink and says there are 2 tables ahead of ours so it will be 15 more minutes. I ask to see the manager and the waitress says sure. 10 minutes later she returns with the managers business card and tells me she isnt there and the waitress is the manager until the actual one arrives but will send her over when she does. 10 more minutes making it 2:05 pm, she brings my Daughters food and says mine is coming shortly. 5-10 minutes pass and Im livid and starving at this point. Finally my food arrives and I tell the waitress I no longer want it and please just give me the bill for the kids food and the 2 drinks. She snatched up my plate with a curt no problem, have a wonderful day. No apology, no explanation. And then, no bill. Just left us sitting there until I figured she wasnt coming back. I threw some cash on the table against my better judgment and we left. Overall we were there for almost 2 hours. Ive never experienced such a horrible level of service anywhere. Ridiculous. Oh and while Im waiting for my Daughter to use the washroom I hear them tell a group of folks they arent seating anyone because they are too busy. I scan the restaurant and see tons of empty seats and just shake my head in disbelief, collect my kid and try not to let the awful experience take away from whats left of our day. Thanks for wasting our time, and the attitude.
Service was ok. Food was ok. They didnt have several of the items on the menu available. I had fish and chips which I thought were good. My wife ordered souvlaki but they were out if that and my mother ordered a Reuben. They came to my mother when I had already received my food to tell her that they couldnt make her Reuben and she then ordered a club sandwich which took an awfully long time to arrive....long after my meal was finished... Noone should have to wait an hour or more for food. Goes to my theory that you can have a good view or a good meal in a restaurant but you cant have both.... This was my second and last time at this restaurant.
Worst restaurant experience of 2022. Sat down at 1142am and it s 124pm and still haven t received our food order. We were offered drinks 1 time. The 3 staff that are working are arguing amongst each other. 1star is way to generous.
Food was good. Brittanys Sangrias were to amazing.
Server didnt notice she had a new customer , so we waited awhile to be asked what to drink, got free drinks cuz we had to ask to be served Food tasted good, fries where cold They ran out of certain food at 6pm
Expensive. terrible service. Wouldnt recommend.
Fried chicken was 26$ came with canned coleslaw and the fried chicken tasted exactly like Grocery store fried chicken. Our server came to the table a total of 4 times. Painful service Only redeeming quality was the bathroom and the view.
Great service overall and pretty good food.
Went there for my 65th birthday on a recommendation. Very disappointing. Lovely view of the Harbour, which is why we chose to go there, but very limited menu. A third of the menu items are pizza, but for some reason no pizza was available. Asked about fish and chips, but also not available. Asked about any specials. Waitress couldnt remember the one daily special and left to find out. When she didnt return after quite some time I went to find out on my own. Bartender told me it was a roast beef sandwich and soup, but they had run out of soup. At that point we left, never to return. Its tourist season people, get your act together.
This review is based on two trips, on both visits we were served by Tracy. Both times she used others as an excuse for poor service. The first time she blamed a long lay off from work and covid, tonight she blamed the young cooks. She neglected us and left us to wait several hours for our food with no check in. We had to go to the bar for drinks. Multiple other tables (other servers) got seated after us, received their food and left before we even got to eat. Extremely disappointed. Especially as when we finally got the food it was over cooked.
I had the mussels and they were delicious. Very pleasantly surprised. Also our server was excellent her name I think was Megan. Also Ive been there in the past and the service was terrible but this time very impressed with it.
We arrived and we decided to sit out on the outside deck, very pretty veiws , the server took our drink order, and off she went. We had looked at the menu online , looked great then the server brought us the menu with hardly anything on it. We mentioned thats not whats online she said ya thats it , so 15 minutes passed still no drinks and it wasnt even busy , we decided to leave. Will not go back there again not a good selection.
Nice place to eat. Menu is pub style, not much for pastas and no steaks.
First time in brockville and gave this a shot as our name is McGuire. So. Got a seat quick enough. Place was half full so not busy at all. Took them 20 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink. By that time we were ready for drinks and food. I ordered a coffee. It came no cream and had to use my fork to mix cream in once that finally came. Food came in good time and was OK not the best for that type of restaurant. Oh coffee refill? Never came! Also for what I ordered I didn t get all I was suppose to but I never bothered to tell them because that probably would have taken another 20 min or so. So not worth going there at all!
Nice view, horrible food. Ordered the chicken club and it came cold. Veggie pizza had no veggies on it and fish and chips was mediocre (how do you mess up fish and chips?). I d find somewhere else to eat. This place is a disaster.
New menu Location in the tall ships building upstairs
I grew up going to Brockville since I can remember. Tallships was the talk of the town (in a negative way) because it obstructed and blocked the waterfront. Since COVID, I have not had the opportunity to give the facility a chance. Service was mediocre but honest. Burger was ok, my partners chicken was funny tasting. The server admitted it was PRE COOKED CHICKEN (who knows how old it was) that was reheated on the grill. Would not recommend to anyone. Tons of better options on King St. and surrounding towns.
Just letting the owner know that after reading the recent bad reviews will be eating elsewhere yes reviews work both ways
I enjoyed the restaurant itself, unfortunately it was on a revised menu but the food was still good regardless of the fact that it was a pub/fryer menu. The service was good but ill prepared, the server didnt know what the house had on hand. Dont know if Ill go back, which is not a good thing.
Terrible food, terrible service. I ordered a chicken burger, it was tasteless. Chicken was tasteless but it had an after taste, I cannot even describe it.... Would not be coming back here
Absolute worst service in all of brockville. Can get seated and not even see a waitress in over 25+ min. Shocking that they stay open
Great views, food was decent. Need too oh hire more staff.
This location had a rough start when Tall Ships was built. Only when the folks at Moose Mcguires took over did it start to become reliable. We count ourselves as regulars and have been for a few years now because the location and the staff are second to none. The beer choice is excellent and there is no better spot to watch over the river and enjoy a few drinks and bites with friends.
Love this place!!! Atmosphere is always great, food is amazing and I cant say enough about the service! Brittany always goes above and beyond.
Had a great visit yesterday! The food was hot & the beer was cold. We were served by Brittany who was fantastic (as usual) even tho it was probably the most busy days theyve seen in yeeeears We will be back!
Was in on the weekend and sat downstairs on the patio, what a beautiful view. Live entertainment was great! Our server was very attentive, which we found refreshing. We had drinks, and a snack which was lovely. If management reads these our server really was the highlight, had us in stitches with her sense of humour. Will definitely be back, hope to see Britney again!
With the attentiveness of a mother goose, the energy of a gazelle, and the joy of a gospel choir, Brittany once again gave us the unparalleled service we ve come to expect at Moose Mcguires this afternoon. Thanks again, as this level of service has just become par for the course! 5
Excellent service. The pizza was delicious. Very relaxed place on the edge of the marina.
5 Stars, the staff were amazing and the food was perfect.
Not sure why still open. They have a very limited menu. Limited booze selection. Unfriendly service. Not even busy and not very attentive. Sad experience today. Do better
It was a private event. No signage.several elderly people; a couple with chest were sent up a concrete staircase to a locked door! Once the event was located it was quite disorganized for the first 15 minutes. It eventually redeemed it self.
Service was fine and outdoor sitting very nice but food for the price very underwhelming. I had the wings which were super small and barely had any meat on them. They were breaded but the breading was soft and mushy. Hot sauce disappointingly not hot.
The waitress we had was pleasant the service was fast and the restaurant was clean. However, the menu is so limited theres not much to choose from. Last time I was there during covid they had a quesadilla thats no longer on the menu and under the main dishes theres honestly four options to choose from. They then have a small selection of salads and pizzas. We got the mac and cheese bites as an appetizer and there were eight small bites for $15 which seemed outrageous to me and it was not served with marinara sauce which is normal it was served with a very spicy hot sauce. The bill was very pricey and the food was just okay my Caesar salad had a Caesar vinaigrette instead of the normal creamy dressing which I was disappointed about. My boyfriend enjoyed his food and he got a pulled pork sandwich and a Poutine
Nice view of the marina. Cocktails and appetizers were great. Bathrooms only on second floor- that was kind of a drag when we were on the third floor.
Very disappointing I was very happy to finally try to this restaurant. I ve wanted to go for a while. Awesome restaurant by the water and the marina. What could go wrong? The service was mediocre and took a very long time (I mean, more than an hour and a half). We were served by 4 different people who didn t seem to work as teammates. We didn t get our food at the same time. (About 20 minutes delay between the first and the third meal) The pizza was soaking wet in the plate. We had to change the plate so it wasn t soaking in the water still. We had to get up ourselves and get basic condiments on an other table. (Salt, pepper, ketchup, etc.) We asked for butter and they gave us « shortening » when we were done eating In the Caesar salad, there was no Caesar dressing. It was a balsamic/Dijon dressing. We were very disappointed by the very slow service (waitress and kitchen) and the quality of the food was meh. Nothing special, no tasty flavours.
Terrible service.
Please read a majority of the reviews. You will be wasting your hard earned money going here. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the view which is sad because it could be the best place in Brockville. Totally up to you but there are so many good places in Brockville, this however is not it. Poor service, kitchen is slow, food is subpar. I think the chef graduated from McDonalds.
My wife and I went for lunch at the Brockville location recently and although the hostess was friendly and pleasant the same could not be said for our server. He was surly, to say the least, and seemed annoyed with every request, as though we should be grateful that he was serving us at all! We ordered but shortly we were told that they ran out of one of the items wed ordered. With his demeanor and general disregard to whether we wanted to order something else, we left. Will not return!
Such a lovely place. It was so beautiful to sit outside and watch the water in the boats. Great food. Great service
Good views of the water from the restaurant. Great food, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Their portions are very generous, the service was a bit slow but its worth it for a good meal. Nice service, the staff were very kind. I would go again Parking: Free street parking nearby and paid parking on the property, $1/20 minutes or $15 for a day pass Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with kids coloring sheets and word searches. The staff are very accommodating to children
They were very busy. We went for the live music and were not in a hurry. The staff that worked were hustling and hoping. The food was amazing. My daughter said best jalapeno poppers ever
Sadly, the worst Caesar salad I ve had in my life. The dressing was pure vinegar.
Waited over an hour from time seated to receive food. However it was packed when we got there so that s to be expected. Shrimp torpedos were over fried and tasted like oil. Ordered a side Caesar instead of fries and the dressing they use for their Caesar is some kind of oil and vinegar, it s disgusting and is by no means what you expect when ordering Caesar salad. Just save yourself the disappointment and go to chucks or Boston pizza if you want a nice sit down meal. Sorry !
Friendly staff and beautiful views.
Meh. 3rd time at the Brockville location, and other than the view Im not that impressed. If you can sacrifice having the view theres better options.
Unbelievably horrible service...or lack there of. Sufficient amount of staff and not busy so we took that as a sign and walked out after a 25 minute wait. Walked down to The Noshery Steakhouse on the main street and were treated amazingly! The food and service was INCREDIBLE! AND it was busy in there. Well worth the visit!!!! Owner operated with passion and love!
Cozy pub with great views and amazing food! Staff was super attentive and on point! Were so glad we stopped here! Oh, and hubby loved to beer selection
Friendly staff nice atmosphere
Well, my friend and I visited on 1 Aug 2022 and eventhough my friend has had good experiences with the location in Ottawa this visit was terrible. The wait for food was not just unacceptably long for our table but everyone elses as well! It was a 1.5 hr wait for fish n chips and a burger for our table, and for the table across from us the kid ordred POGOS and it was 30-40 mins ( Like the what actual heck). This is not including the orders from other tables they messed up in the kitchen( a gentleman waiting an hr for a burger that is suppose to have a pretzel bun but when it arrives doesnt), but through all of this no real ownership, apology,or offer to make any of it right from any of the staff I obsvered( including our table). The view of the docks and river is great but not nearly good enough to compensate for the prices paid or any of the above described;driving an hr plus to meet a friend here and sharing this poor experience just adds salt to the wound.
Declining fast. A year ago I would ve given a full five stars but lately the level of service is declining and the food is getting worse in quality, taste and serving size is shrinking as well. Wait times are now so long to get food to the table and you re lucky to get cutlery or a menu when seated. This was our favourite place to eat for a long time and we took a large group of friends here during Tall Ships. Although only two other tables were occupied the service was extremely slow. It took forever to get menus, it took a really long time to get drinks on the table and everyone was tired of waiting for food to show up by the time they brought the plates, then we had to wait for cutlery. Don t go here unless you have a few hours to waste.
Cool nautical atmosphere with friendly staff. The poutine appetizer is a meal for two. It s huge.
Great view from the patio. Food was very nice also
Glad we made reservations. They were busy. Some many items were unavailable, due to shortages. Food was tasty.
Great view from the terrace! Our half-price pizza was delicious, beer perfectly cold and tasteful. Service by Jess was perfect.
Drove over an hour yesterday to check out downtown Brockville and stop in at this restaurant, only to be told by the waitress that the restaurant was short staffed and it would be a half hour wait to get a table. The restaurant appeared to be empty aside from the patio and this was a Saturday at 12:30 in the afternoon. Families were walking out in droves, absolutely furious. How the heck can you be short staffed on a Saturday? Why arent the owners inside busting tables? Truly bizarre...
Simply the worst restaurant don t waste your money or time, the service is horrible, when we walked in we were ignored by the server (even tho she was literally in front of us) it then took them 40 min to come and get our order. We then had to wait over an hour to get the food. The food tasted horrible, literally you can buy their frozen pizza, Mac and Cheese bites and chicken dinner from Walmart and pay $20 not $100. When I complained to the waiter about the food he did not even seem interested or concerned just handed the machine to me to pay and then left our table not to mention the dirty table and utensils Never again!!
Terrible service and terrible food. We waited over 25 min for someone to take our order and that wouldn t have happened if it wasn t for me getting up and asking for someone to come take it. Once that was done it took them about 45-50 min minutes to take out what was possibly the worst food I ve ever had. The veggie pizza tasted like cardboard and the chicken dinner was inedible and tasted burnt. Everything is very clearly bought from some local supermarket and fried. Then they have the audacity to charge you for a fancy meal. Servers were rude and had so much attitude to give. Even had to get up again to ask for someone to bring the bill. Overall a very horrible experience. Save your money and time and don t come here. The table was also sticky and dirty and the chair I sat on was broken. The view is not worth the displeasure this place has brought. Paid $100 for two people on food we didn t even eat. Pizza was still full on the table and chicken was untouched. Mac and cheese bites taste better at Walmart. Don t come here.
Brittany is the best server. Awesome wings.
Wasnt fresh and service is bad. Too bad as the view is nice on the patio.
My experience at the moose was of the hook great scenery great service very friendly servers but one server stood out more the the rest her name is Tegan she was absolutely great very friendly with a smile and it definitely helps when your server is on point and for all you young guys out there I would definitely make your way to the moose and ask for Tegan
A excellent dinner night out with great service thanks
Perfect weather on the outdoor patio. Food was excellent. Great wings!
I ve been to Brockville many times, but this was my first time trying this restaurant. My friend and I were greeted right away by a friendly hostess and sat on the patio. We had a beautiful view. The waitress was very friendly and prompt in taking our order. Our food came within 20 minutes. We both got a chicken club with fries and we both agreed it was amazing. Our waitress checked on us throughout the meal and refilled our drinks. Atmosphere was great and all the staff were friendly. We will be going back based on our great experience today!
Great place. WATERFRONT view. Good food and good service. Tegan our waitress did great job
Great food, location right on the St. Lawrence and excellent service!!!
Great harbour, nautical view on the patio in warm weather...and then.....upstairs inside to windows, decks and comfy indoor seating w a view! Food is scrumptious..as hearty as you want. Staff are accommodating pleasant. Feels like a million dollars..harbourfront
Good place
Pretty good.
We didnt get checked on for drink refills or an update on the food until 50 mins after ordering. We didnt get our food until another 15 mins after that and our food was cold! We got our bill and left and ended up spending our wedding anniversary dinner at McDonalds. Do not recommend unless you like poor service and poor food. The view was pretty and the only reason why its a one star review. :\
Food is good..service usually sucks because they have no staff. Last time took 45 minutes to get our drink order. Again NOT staffs fault! The place was full and there were maybe 4 staff to do everything
Unless you know where the restaurant is (no signage outside and dark inside staired entrance is hidden behind a large stone globe) you wouldnt have a clue. The decor is beautiful and we were seated in a booth facing the docks and water, which was perfect as we wanted to stay awhile and catch up. We ordered a Caesar salad, Greek salad, mini yorkshire puddings with beef, two French onion soups, sweet potato fries, and white wine. After a long wait the server brought the food. The fries were lukewarm at best as were the onion soups and the mini Yorkshires. The Greek salad didnt look like it had any dressing and the Caesar salad had a vinaigrette rather than a creamy dressing (yes, I know sometimes it does but it would have been great had the type of dressing been either described in the menu or by the server). The food was returned and brought back fresh and hot except for the Yorkies that should have been served with a steak knife (we were left wondering if they had been reheated in microwave. I had been to this restaurant in the summer and came back for their excellent mussels (no longer on the menu) and invited three friends for a return visit. Maybe Mondays arent their best day.
Serivce was okay. The wait was ridiculous. Order burger, pizza and fish and chips and took roughly an hour. The restaurant was pretty empty. Not pleased with this placd
