Apportez votre vin. Welcome to our weekend Midnight Diner, where stories come alive .
We got a fish whose bottom half tasted strange/ wrong. We told the staff and they said that was strange and brought it to the boss. No apology, just said that the fish was fresh and they got it today. Ok? It tasted wrong. A while later the staff got to sitting at the table next to us and the boss started mocking and laughing at us saying that it wasnt possible that only half of the fish was bad, it had to be the whole fish if what we were saying were to be true. They did not try to be quiet or go elsewhere to speak of the matter, they did it at full volume right next to us. We then went to speak to them for being so blatantly rude, and instead of apologizing the owner was screaming to defend herself, not listening to what anyone else had to say as long as her voice was the loudest. There was a lot of arguing and yelling. Did not offer any refund or discount. Only that we were wrong and only us. Horrible rude staff. I would give less stars if I could.
All the dishes were flavorless, not Asian food tastes as your expectation. Even a simple Yangzhou fried rice, there were less ingredients as the usual traditional Yangzhou fried rice, they only put egg, very little amount shrimp and diced chicken, that was it?! The pickle fish dish was very terrible, please avoid!!! No taste, and looked like from a premade dish from a supermarket, and just reheated, only fish and few pickle cooked in the water soup, no other ingredients. The environment is not clean, the chair and carpet was oily and dirty. A bad experience.
Always love coming here with my family! I always get their steamed fish, which is incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a family lunch or dinner. Despite it being the weekend lunchtime, the restaurant wasn't too busy, so perfect atmosphere for a family celebration. The space is very roomy, and they have child seats available, which is a big plus for families I guess. Also don't forget that you can bring your own wine! The service was also impressively fast. Overall, a nice go-to restaurant for some comfort Szechuan food in the south shore!
Amazing!! If you are in the mood for Chinese food in the south shore, you gotta come to this restaurant. Been coming here since they opened and every friend that I bring here is as amazed as me for the quality and quantity of the food! Be sure to try their fish!! It was so good that I had a hard time getting my friend's chopsticks out of the way for me to snap a pic! And for the cherry on top... you bring your own wine!!!
Food was good. Service was mid but it’s a Chinese restaurant so don’t be expecting too much. There were only two older ladies working for an almost full house. Atmosphere is pretty loud (adults “talking” + drinking (BYOB) and kids running around screaming) so if that’s not your cup of tea then don’t go.
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Brossard!!! The food is really good! I really like their lobster salad (reserve one day before) There is no not tasting good food there. I absolutely love it!
We ordered three dishes. They were all big portions. Only the sour cabbage and fish soup was pretty delicious. The vegetable dish wasn’t good at all since the vegetable was too much fiber. In another word the vegetable was too old to eat. The fish flavored shredded pork was no flavor at all. Very very disappointed! Not recommended.
Nothing spectacular but decent Szechuan cuisine in Rive Sud of Montreal Szechuan cuisine is known for being spicy and delicious, this restaurant is no exception. They offer a variety of fairly authentic Szechuan dishes at reasonable price. Service was reasonably adequate but overall nothing too exciting. We were hungry when walked in the restaurant and feeling full after, that’s all.
One of the best Chinese food in Montreal
Great spicy dishes, excellent salt and pepper squid. Everything is good. Bring your own wine. The only downside is that the waitress is friendly, but doesnt speak a word of French.
Amazing food. Great vegetarian options. Will definitely recommend
Decent quality and quantity, nothing more, having often consumed Chinese dishes on several continents, really nothing special. Of the 7 dishes ordered, 2 arrived together, the rest one by one, as if there was only one wok working in the kitchen, fortunately there were only 3 tables occupied and the 2 others were already served. Understanding with the waitress, perhaps boss, almost impossible in both French and English. Given the poor service, we revised the tip downwards and she caused a scandal for that. One thing is certain, this is the last time we set foot there.
Refuse to give us a table even if the place is half empty, I want to take away and refuse again saying that the cooks are too busy. We went to the GENERAL TAO restaurant instead where the service was 10/10
It was a real exotic feast for my Quebec palette! We wanted to get off the beaten track a little such as General Tao chicken or even sesame beef to try something new in lesser-known but, we hoped, more authentic dishes. And we are very satisfied! What we ordered: - House hot pot (shrimp, spam, rolled tofu, seaweed, bok choy, mushroom) - Tripe and duck blood soup (if youre feeling adventurous) - Spicy Szechuan beef (really good) Very generous portions. Everything was tasty and aromatic. You will love it even more if you like the Sichuan pepper which is used masterfully in these dishes. My girlfriend and I are big fans, so we were spoiled! Nice atmosphere inside. The decor is quite pretty I think. Basic service but really fast. Little nice warning: - Its rather oily. - The tripe tastes farmy; it is a flavor which, although special, can be appreciated. - Service in approximate Frenglish. Very satisfied.
This time for my first time I opted for a more conventional menu.... Next time Ill try the local specialties because obviously I missed something it was still good very good and the food is really excellent No service in French, we manage to understand this I recommend a place to discover for an extraordinary culinary experience
Food not fresh, owner has bad attitude. It was a disaster experience.
Ive already lost it and took two bites. Its really hard to eat. To be honest. I seriously doubt that he didnt wash the pot. It s very spicy and dark hahaha It hasn t tasted this bad before. I guess I need to change the cook.
Worst wonton soup I have eaten, flavorless black pepper beef, salt and pepper pork, avoid
The fish was fresh but not authentic. Just so so.
Compared with other restaurants, the taste is very good and the price is favorable. It is worthy of attention.
It seems like a Cantonese restaurant, as the waiter can speak Cantonese, but the spicy flavor is the best Ive had in Montreal. Especially lobster and lamb. The stir-fried green beans were not fully flavored. Another thing I recommend is that all the food is not too salty or sweet like other restaurants, its also a plus if you detest too much salt. Totally a surprise after tasting so many Chinese restaurants.
Excellent restaurant for the price. Good portions and pleasant service.
What a nice surprise this restaurant is! A friend highly recommended it to me so we went together. The dishes are tasty and the portions are generous. Were going back, very soon.
First of all, ALL of the foods we ordered is UNSAVORY The attitude of the waiters is extremely bad, restaurant is NOISY and TERRIBLE but waiters didn t try to make anything at all. THEY DON T RESPECT AND DON T CARE ABOUT COSTUMERS In conclusion, this is the worst Chinese restaurant in Longueuil, food is just normal, the environment and the attitude of waiters are totally unacceptable. I wont come again
Go for the food. Just know what type of meal youll be in for, its not a place to linger and enjoy the wine lol. Take it for what it is. The waitresses are definitely not kissing your a** and the atmosphere is non existent. But i go for lunch sometimes and the food is consistently very good. Every soup Ive tried has been delicious, a little spicy but thats on you. The steamed chicken with chili oil is really good and Ive done takeout on that as well. Its never busy at lunchtime, no clue how the dinner service is. I think its really one of the better Chinese restos in Brossard, (Ive been to all of them) although the portions arent big so it can get a bit pricy. But then again, a lot of the restos nowadays dont have big servings either. And for 2 people, I had a big doggybag.
No one speaks French, barely understood in French, MSG and glucose and chicken broth concentrate easily included in dishes that are too salty or too sweet. Nice decor but dirty toilets, can be very noisy!
very delicious
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and just an overall good restaurant would recommended 5/5 stars
The service isnt what i expected. Not even hello. Welcome nor thank you. U get your order, u eat then leave.
The best place to eat with your family the food was so delicious definite coming back next time
The experience was spectacular, the owner complimented how good I looked. The food was also reasonably priced and tasted very good, best authentic Chinese szechaun restaurant!!!
Delicious
very bad experience terrible food terrible service too much oil in every dishes even I said less oil less salt but still you can see the friend rice in the oil bath when I told the waitress that I dont want any MSG in my order she told me sorry we pre-made sauce already we can not take out the MSG from our sauce. and the price to the portion size is not match at all just dont waste your time and money over there
Bring your own wine restaurant, impeccable service, very fast. Excellent value for money, I highly recommend it
The dishes are generally delicious, the fish-flavored shredded pork is super delicious I almost finished eating it without even taking a photo
This restaurant is absolutely terrible! I ordered four dishes and none of them were good! There is almost no pig blood in Maoxuewang. Most of them are pig intestines, lunch meat and bean sprouts. Pig blood is not a very expensive thing, so I don t know why you should be stingy? Most of the couples lung slices are just lungs, please! In authentic Sichuan cuisine, you can t put lung in the couple s lung slices. Just because the dish is called Fei slices, do you put all the lungs in? Not only that, the ingredients in every dish feel stale. Is this to save costs? I have never tasted food like this before! Whats even worse is the attitude of the waitress. She turned around and left without any explanation before she finished talking to the guests. When I asked her why later, she told me that she was too busy. Please! It was obviously a rude departure without any warning. I was asking you a question, but you turned around and left. Did anyone call you? No! There are only a few tables of customers. What are you busy with? Cant you even say wait a moment? This restaurant wasnt like this before, I dont know what happened now, but I will never come here again, and I have to tell all my friends to stay away!
I usually don t write bad reviews but this experience was truly awful Every plates we ordered tasted horribly unfresh. I came home and not long after my stomach felt tremendously ill. The service was awful as well, the waitress had a terrible attitude, she was constantly impatient for no reason s (the restaurant was very empty so it s not like the waitress was busy or anything). Anyway, would never go there again and I don t recommend this place for anyone
Very good food. Warm lighting. Tablecloth in colorful fabric, disparate, and a little magané, but in my heart its still more than no tablecloth at all. The frog legs came on a burner, which added an interesting dimension to the meal. The portions are very generous.
terrible service the older lady was no smile on her face, no english, no french, she over charged me for veggie plate. food was ok . but not worth to go back see the ugly face like that. never go there again.
Traditional Chinese and Szechuan Delicious as always... Food
Don t judge from the outside, this restaurant is legit! Some of the best spicy authentic Chinese food I ve had.
Prob one of the most underrated and authentic schezuan resto here in Brossard. This place is a little found Gem among all the Asian food we have in Brossard. A friend recommended me and I loved it. Food is great and the price very fair. We ordered multiple dishes and they were all very good. The drunk chicken was the only one that was so-so because it wasnt made with the right chicken. I recommend anyone looking for Chinese food to come check this place out. Service can be slower because they seemed understaffed so if you are in a super hurry or expect super fast service... another day... But when they do attend to you, they were super friendly and helpful.
First of all, they open slightly earlier than other places and dinner starts at 4:30 PM. The floor of this Chinese restaurant feels slippery or sticky^^ Its a bit blunt so its hard to hear detailed explanations about the menu.
Food was ok. Service cold-faced. The lady more or less forced a 20% tip before we could offer it : )
Worst restaurant I ve ever been at! If I could give zero stars, I would, when my family and I got there they made us wait for 10 mins at the entrance even though half of the restaurant was empty. Then, when we ordered they brought out the food and told us that the rice would be coming up soon. WE WAITED FOR 40 MINS!?!? The food was already cold and they didn t redo it for us, the service was overall terrible and the quantity isn t great. They then proceeded to complain that we didn t give a tip! The audacity of these people!
Good food, for a non-chilli eater like me, it was good.
There was a piece of sweet-sour pork with a whole piece of fat inside, which disgusted me to death, and the cumin mutton was too fat to bite. . . .
I would like to say that I could give a relatively high score for the food, but the arrogant and sour attitude of the aunt at the checkout is really worth so much. Even one star is an extra star. If there is a negative score I could give you more. If the aunt was born and raised here and is a banana person, I can understand her words and deeds, but she is obviously infected with the behavior of a philistine villain. I can only lament that you only have this kind of virtue after leaving the country. It s okay if you don t show off your bad attitude and it s embarrassing, but if you show up like that, it s not embarrassing and it s a sin.
very good chinese food
Very very good food but some dishes can be spicier Their fish maw soup is AMAZING! As in pretty much all Chinese restaurants, service is lacking and needs improvement
Will revisit one day definitely and will eat Szechuan food only. I need to search what are the must have. Food : 3/5
The service is very poor. What you ordered is not available. Seafood is always recommended. It doesn t feel like Sichuan food.
Really good, lots of choice on the menu but very noisy. Large round tables for groups. Overworked waitresses so we dont expect to see smiles before closing time approaches. I sympathize.
I think its delicious. At least every dish tastes like the dish itself. Its almost the same taste as other restaurants, and this restaurant isnt salty or too oily.
Best Sichuan restaurant in Montreal. Highly recommend the sizzling beef and yuxiang style stir fried pork.
The attitude of the boss and the waiters was very bad. They made abusive remarks just because they gave a 15% tip. When a child dropped his meal on the floor, he said he ate like a pig. It s not that he didn t tip. These days, a 15% tip is required. Already looked down upon? Sorry, I have never seen such a disgusting business
The worst customer service experience Ive ever had in my life. The owner call my friend pig since his 1 years old girl spread the rice on the ground, and we just gave her 15 tips in lunch. Not recommended!!!
Generous portions, good quality, bring your own wine. Dont order the combos, you have to order from the menu and like spicy Szechuan cuisine.
The quantity and taste are pretty good. I ve never had it in dine-in before. It s one of my main takeaways.
It was delicious.
The taste is okay
Cant believe your dine in order will be switch to take out order, unbelievable it will happened.
Really good authentic chinese food. And it is bring your own wine! A little pricy for the portion size but worth it for me
No one comes
Parking: Beaucoup de places au niveau du stationnement.
Incredible meal, excellent price! We went to eat with a Chinese friend who helped us make choices to discover traditional Chinese cuisine!
I strongly recommend this restaurant is not only for their food and spiritual service, but also my friend comes from Sichuan province told me this is the real Sichuan style. So if you want to try the real Sichuan dish, you should try this restaurant.
One of my favorite place to eat... Can really have a very very good celebration wtih family
Authentic Sichuan restaurant, at least for me haha. A big amount of food, appropriate level of spicy, the chicken pot is delicious!
Very good
Had to revise my review.. sorry for 2 stars less due to the sweet taste, which is NOT ACCEPTED in SCECHUAN food.. no idea why It becomes sweeter and sweeter recently and I did precise less sweet today..
Superb cumin lamb
tastes very good
I generally dont write negative reviews. Todays encounter with the landlady who suddenly appeared was really disgusting, and I couldnt help but feel unhappy. This restaurant tastes good. I often come here on weekends and the service is just okay. Today we had boiled chicken fillet with chicken intestines - but after finishing the meal, we found that there were no more than five pieces of chicken intestines. We couldnt find them, and they were cut too big, which affected our appetite. When I checked out, I gave my opinion to the cashier lady (I had never seen this before, and she called herself the boss lady). ), she retorted that it was impossible. I asked how much it should be normally? The answer was seven or eight pieces. hehe The procedure for swiping the card was different from before. When I asked her, she became impatient and became rude. She packed it away and deliberately checked to see if there was any leftover sausage. Like me, she couldnt find it. hehe Before leaving, ask her if she will be there next week? I wont come if shes here. She said she was there every day. From beginning to end, my attitude was very restrained, but the landlady was a very quibbling and aggressive person.
Can anyone confirm if this is cooked?
Food is acceptable but not the best Szechuan restaurant on South shore. The chicken with chili oil sauce was the best dish they offered- very meaty chicken and seasoning was done well. However, the other dishes were sub-par and way too salty. Presentation wise was okay. Wouldnt recommend this place in particular...
Very good service! Food is always great. Nice decor and very affordable. Great value!
Authentic szeshuan spicy food! Awesome but only if you can handle the heat!!
Restaurant is simple but the food is amazing. Pricing is reasonable. 2 people for $30 Even better, bring your own wine.
I ordered a Maoxuewang today, not to mention the small quantity, but no blood yet, and cut corners to the extreme. Such an unscrupulous businessman, I advise everyone to think carefully before ordering this takeaway.
Good food and great friendly service! Support local!!!
Amazing food with generous portion and reasonable price, level of spicy is adjustable if you just let them know.
Great place, great service delicious food! You cant go wrong going there!
Very good szechuan restaurant. Food tastes excellent! Recommended
My family went to this restaurant on January 25, 2020 to celebrate Chinese New Year and the hospitality was inhumane. During the meal, my father began to have a stroke at the table. He proceeded to slowly fall out of his chair. My relatives who were there assisted as best as they could. Not one person from the restaurant provided any assistance to us. My mother proceeded to call 911 for an ambulance and asked the staff what the address was and was directed to their business cards. This is unacceptable and disgusting. A restaurant is not only meant to serve but to provide assistance, when required. It is an establishment where the staff and its owner is responsible for the safety and security of its clientele. I do not recommend this restaurant as they do not care about their customers.
Very disappointing. Not good for big groups as they are low in staff. Waited long to have our last dishes to be told that there were no supply left. Portions are rather small. Some dishes taste good ie. lotus but some had too much black pepper ie. shark fin soup. It was our second visit to the restaurant and was definitely not the best experience
First visit. Spicy level is above average. Quite authentic Chinese food. Definitely a come back
Excelle service and Wonderful dishes. Tofu and eggplant is tasty.
Very good food!!
Love the foods!! Very authentic, nice ambiance and friendly personnel!
VERY GOOD, FAST SERVICE
Great food compared to other Szechuan restaurants in Brossard.
Very good restaurants with great food
The place is quite big, the food is delicious, and the portions are particularly large. It s worth a try.
Good food good price good service .
Nice and clean environment, great services and great food. You can actually call to make an arrangement for your customized menu like fresh sea foods. 5 stars!
Dry pot fat intestines, Maoxuewang, fish maw and seafood soup, all cooked authentically!
The food is delicious and the service is very friendly.
Horrible place where the service is slow and they serve people that they know before the client that arrives early. In conclusion the worst Chinese restaurant. Absolute trash
The spicy hot pot is very good. The stir-fried shredded pork was average.
Overpriced for what it is. The cuisine could be of better quality. Nice decor on the good side.
Friends came to this restaurant for a treat. Six people ordered seven or eight dishes. Some people couldnt eat spicy food and asked for less spicy food. Every dish is good, slightly spicy, especially the large plate of grilled fish. It felt like the fish was not grilled, but steamed.
Conscientious portions of food, not expensive and delicious. I went here three times in five days. I will go there again.
rude
Bad service! Food was disgusting!
Food was ok not the best not the worst
The food is good, but its not the best in the city.
Good deals for two, would be nice language barrier, not much English or French lol..
Staff was nice and the food was correct but the portion was small and there was no rice coming with the plates, around 60$ tu in for 3 persons it s a little bit overprice. You have more for your bucks at Bol d or, it s the place to go in Brossard !
Nice and comfortable place. They are know for their spicy dishes. My favorite is this egg/tomato noodle.
Pickled fish, shredded potatoes and spicy hotpot are my favorites
Favorite Sichuan Wei Xuan s grilled fish
Comfortable environment! Good service attitude! The price is reasonable! Tastes pretty good
Delicious, large portions, good service
The grilled fish is great and the portion is large; there are also my favorite authentic Sichuan dishes such as pickled fish, dry pot sausage, fish-flavored eggplant, etc., which are worth trying
