If you re choosing to eat here by just its reviews, you ll get high disappointment. We ordered Garlic naan which was not Naan at all, we can say thick pita bread. Dal tadka seems like thick curry of boiled lentils without tadka. Everything tastes average aa compared to ratings.

The food is so oily it is ridiculous. Also the food is very bland. Shahi paneer was basically paneers in sweet plain cream, very sweet and super bland. Also the Samosa was mostly empty with a few split peas inside. There are better indian restaurants in that area.

This restaurant has the best Indian food we have ever eaten! We had samosa, bhajis, butter chicken and saag paneer, with basmati rice and naan breads. Everything was delicious as usual. The service was attentive, they filled our glasses with water several times, however the water was not cold but room temperature. The food is so comforting and affordable! The quantities are generous and they offer meals to take away our leftovers. I couldnt recommend a better place to sample this exquisite culture! I wish them longevity and prosperity! Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options. Parking: Free parking out front. Sometimes full during busy periods.

Thank you for being fair! *March 2022: Ceylon chicken is amazing! Just make sure to tell them to not add sugar to the ceylon chicken and butter chicken (Or any dish for that matter). The mulligatawny soup is very flavourful but also inconsistent from one visit to the next. Last time there was too much fennel and far too much salt. *Dec 2021: Still the best around. *Best indian food on the south shore. Very polite staff. *

It s a BYOB restaurant. Magnificent dinner. We didnt know this restaurant and we recommend it hands down. Everything is delicious and the staff very courteous. We ate butter chicken, bhoona beef, basmati rice, homemade naan bread, raita and aloo Gobi. Only about 36 places but lots of deliveries and take-out. Authentic Indian flavors. We brought some back for another meal for 2. Thank you and see you soon!!

My wife and I decided to deviate from our usual Indian spot to a location that has been on our radar for quite some time now. Were very glad that decided to change it up tonight! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we felt very welcomed by the staff and service was attentive throughout. We ordered our favorite dishes, butter chicken, beef bhoona and saag paneer, all of which were delightful nostalgic but with a subtle and noticeable difference. The flavours were rich but reminded me of true home cooking. The dessert, gulab jamun was just the cherry on top. On top of this, location is easily accessible and parking was a breeze. The prices were very fair considering the increase in food cost and the awesome service. Not to mention, BYOB! Well be back soon, hungry for more!

We ordered for a corporate happy hour - approximately 22 people. The owner responded quickly and was very friendly. Everything was ready on time and I was helped to place everything in the car. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty. Everyone really liked it. We ordered: Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikimasala, Vegetable Curries, Onion Bhaji, Vegetable Samosa, Basmati Rice and Naan Bread. Thank you again for the dishes and the good service. This is my go to for Indian food - and I m Indian. Very tasty, great portions and selection. I get it delivered at least once a month. It s been around for years and we used to eat on site as a family quite often.

Although I didn t book any place over there, Ahmad accepted us. It was really nice and cozy. He let us to bring our wine and enjoy it. The price was reasonable. My order was for 2 people but it was too much and I think it was for 4 person .

I went at Shaan Tandoori with friends for the very first time and as we went inside there was no customer. First we thought, this is not a happening place but we want to take a chance and ordered Chicken Tandoori & Chicken Tikka. Although, it took some time to prepare the order but when it came, they didn t make us disappointed. They have option to serve rice or bread with the order. It was yumm! Till that time entire restaurant was filled up and we were like our initial thought was wrong. We asked them to take more orders but they told us to wait as it will take time to prepare as there are lots of occupied tables who are waiting fir their order. Thats the only thing which they need to improve. Taste was good and it was not that costly. Many orders were for take away also.

Vegetarian options: What can I say but to have Indian food without vegetarian options, I have never seen. They have choice. Colour of food looks good but food was tasteless ,lack of flavours not even salty n spicy at all, saag was sour and bitter ( taste old ), cauliflower was oops far away from restaurant style , in kofta they add same bhaji pakora which supposed to be different and not taste of sugar and spice in it at all . Naans were super thick.I was excited to eat indian food but they spoiled my dinner date. Vegetarian options: Taste nothing

Small, intimate restaurant. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the staff very attentive!

The food and the service - absolutely impeccable! The food was super tasty, ample, and served at a perfect temperature. The naan is the best I ever had! And I absolutely love their chicken Jal-frezi! The service was very friendly, curteous. Although we arrived just one hour before closing, we were never rushed. In fact, we were three different tables who left a good hour after their closing time. We will definetely go back!

The service at this place is immaculate! I enjoyed absolutely everything about it!! I couldn t tell you what I ate but be sure to ask the guy what he recommends and trust whatever he brings you! Such great food!

Generous portions, tasty dishes and courteous service

Unfortunately, my recent visit to this restaurant left me extremely disappointed. The waiters behavior was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Not only did they lack basic courtesy, but they also went as far as forcefully asking for a tip. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and tarnished what could have been a pleasant dining experience. I would strongly advise others to think twice before dining at this establishment.

I regret to say that my dining experience at this restaurant was far from pleasant. The behavior of the waiter was shockingly rude and disrespectful. Not only did they exhibit a complete lack of professionalism, but they even had the audacity to forcefully demand a tip. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and left a sour taste in my mouth. I would caution others against patronizing this establishment if they value courteous service and a positive atmosphere.

I eat Indian frequently, I cook it myself at home, so Im somewhat familiar with it. I enjoyed my visit, we ate there. In terms of food, everything was perfect and according to the rules of the art. All the dishes were cooked in the traditional way and very tasty, very spicy when necessary. I had a beef vindaloo, very very strong but very good too. My partner had something much milder but also tasty. Basmati rice and naan bread were good. The only downside was that our visit was much longer than expected. Its still a small, unpretentious restaurant without artifice, we were expecting a 45-minute visit, 1 hour maximum, but we were able to go out. after only 90 minutes, we found it very, very long and we were late for our outing after dinner. About 30 minutes before receiving soup for starters is a long time.

Succulent cuisine and very good service! We tried the tasting menu for 4 people and loved it. We can bring our own wine and a birthday cake if we have a birthday person. Best Indian Restaurant in the greater Montreal area!

This is easily my favorite Indian restaurant in all of Montreal! The food is impeccable.

This is my first visit to this restaurant, the dishes were really delicious and the service was extremely courteous. I love Indian dishes and they did it wonderfully, very spicy without being excessive. I particularly liked the Tandoori Chicken, Chana Masala and Beef Bhuna, but everything was super good. The quantities were generous, which is really appreciated. A place I will return to for sure!

Shaan Tandoori is quite simply one of the best Indian restaurants on the South Shore. The meals are delicious and the service is super friendly. It must have been a few years since I ordered from this restaurant and everything is perfect every time. So tried several dishes, vindaloo, butter chicken, tiki massala and several others. The big plus, you can ask for the spice level so that everything is perfect for you. A big favorite for me is this restaurant. And Im sure that with each order everything will be delicious!!!

You have to allow time for chai tea, dont be in too much of a hurry! The server was very very nice and accommodating. Highly recommended!

I loved Shaan Taandoris cooking. I loved their plain naan breads, with cheese, and also their butter chicken. I moved 2 years ago. I miss their cooking. The butter chicken sauce varied in spices and strength, but for me thats proof that its not prefabricated and that the recipe varies a little, it doesnt matter. It was always very good, delicious and tasty. Well done Gang! Keep going! :)

I am from Toronto and I ve been to a lot of Indian restaurant! Visited to Montreal and decided to try Shaan Tandoori! I have to say that this is by far the best Indian restaurant that I ve ever been to! The food was exceptional and the portion size was good! Had the butter chicken and lamb curry! They were both full of flavour! Both the staff and the cook were very professional and polite! I highly recommend this Indian restaurant! I know I will definitely be back!

Favourite restaurant of all time, everything is on point, the succulent food, the warm service..

We have ordered takeout here once and were not super impressed by the taste of the food. We ordered the eggplant which was far too oily and lacked spices. The sag paneer also lacked spices. The samosas were almost empty and were made with wanton wrappers. The papadums were overcooked. Overall - the portions are big and prices are good - but the taste and quality just isnt there.
