1200 Boul. de Rome, Brossard, QC J4W 3H3, Canada
Since it's opening in 1999, Sushi YASU Brossard is honoured to serve fresh sushi and traditional Japanese food to all clients living in Greater Montreal Area.
A casual and family-friendly eatery in the south shore, one of our rotating restaurants for years. They offer an full array of authentic Japanese dishes ranged from the comforting udon katsu to the refined elegance of nigiri. In addition to an extensive list of Entrées from cold/fried/grilled/baked, the succulent Rimouski Uni and the flavorsome Alaska snow crab have lately made theirs ways to the chalkboard menu. Since the new owner/chef has taken over, the service has seen remarkable improvement and has even undergone a partial redecoration recently. At last, the awkward black leather tablecloths have been removed and those uncomfortable round chairs have been replaced. While the new owner's culinary skills are still evolving and have yet to match those of his predecessor, the food remains quite enjoyable and satisfying.
Hands down the best, most authentic Japanese fare in or around Montreal. The karaage in particular is so tender and juicy; 1000/10! The staff are also really lovely! We'll definitely be back to try some more of their delicious offerings!
Very pleased with this restaurant, love the traditional sushi and menue option. Im not a fan of saucy / cream cheese / funky sushi and just want fresh fish and good rice and that’s what i got. Also im very very very picky about tempura and they were delicious. Service was also great! I will absolutely come back :)
This is usually one of my favorite places but not with the last time we went. It's like they prioritize take out orders and make people at the restaurant wait an hour to get their food. They used to serve everything so beautifully and this time everything was just put on the table, no nice dishes, just trying to get whatever they could out. The staff was apologetic and we get that restaurants haven't been the same for a while but this time I was legitimately sad that I had driven over an hour to eat there and more so for a birthday.
Yasu has always been our go to for close to 15 years. We respect the old and newer gen of Japanese owners. Sushi is not as good as it used to be but still our go to for sushi with no nonsense and fanfare. Good slices of fish and fresh but rice is not always as good as could be. Anything scallop is very good too there. One of our fav! Love that they serve Rimouski uni. Small but still good! Let's face it. Not too many good sushi options in La Belle Province. There are a lot of funky sushi in trendy sushi bars doused in sweet sauce, filled cream cheese aberation and fruits but more "traditional" tasting sushi is rare to find. Sushi is also pricey in Mtl :( So me know if you know any good in between Park and Yasu!
Authentic, delicious Japanese dishes! A friend suggested this restaurant for her birthday & we absolutely loved it. Reasonable prices for the good quality & portions, amazing tempura & selection of sushi! The service was also nice & accommodating.
Authentic sushi and Japanese dishes. My Japanese friend recommended this place and it is my second time to come here. Everything is so fresh and delicious, and I love the Yakitori! The prices are affordable if you compare to places downtown, which is a huge plus. I will definitely come back when I'm craving sushi.
Ive been there maybe 15 yrs ago, the decor haven’t changed a bit. Booked a table of 8 at 5pm on a Thursday. They offer two time slots for big group, 5pm or 7:30pm. By 6pm, tables were filling up pretty fast and many ppl came for pickup as well. There was only 1 waiter serving but he was quick and very responsive. He often came asking us if everything was fine. Besides our big table, there were about 5-6 tables of 2-3 ppl. For such a busy evening, I find the restaurant served food timely and the waiter was quick. Everyone was very pleased this time (vs Mont Brise). The à la carte came with soup or salad and with a bowl of rice. The fish were fresh and they had bentos as well. The dishes portions are decent and we had leftovers to bring home after too. However I find the teriyaki brochettes too salty to my taste but my brother liked them . The fried ice cream was ok, it looked more like a fried crêpe roll more than the usual fried ice cream ball. Removing one star for the decor and the AC was very very weak. It was very stuffy there and barely any AC. We were sitting just below the AC and we couldnt feel any wind blowing. The tables were uneven/shaky and the chairs were sticky. Overall we had fun and a nice bday dinner, will come again.
Delicious!!! Excellent quality and very good price
I love this place, it gives me great pleasure to take the bridge to leave the island and go to yasu, they are my favorite sushi. I have one downside though, the service is really long, customers on site dont have priority over all take outs. The last time I went there the restaurant was empty and I had to wait 45 minutes before being served. Too long, really too long. Customers at the restaurant should be served as a priority.
Superb restaurant, reservation needed on a friday night
I had the nigiri supreme and upgraded my dinner with the set deal. Food was good, I would eat here again. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs for kids.
Dont go anywhere else for sushi anymore. Im taking the detour from Longueuil. High quality products and unparalleled presentation.
Been going to Sushi Yasu in Brossard for over 10 years now, the price obviously have gone up over the years, but this price increase applies to all Montreals restaurants. Even with the increased prices I never get disappointed going to Sushi Yasu because their food is just amazing, and always get good service. One of my favorite restaurants to go in Brossard.
We had it prepared in advance and arrived on site, the order was ready so no waiting. The employees were very respectful and professional and in the end, the sushi was excellent. The presentation was also superb but I didnt think to take a photo, that will be for next time!
These are the best sushi on the South Shore of Montreal (and even beyond!). But whats more, the staff is incredibly friendly! The chef takes the time to chat to us while working and he is always smiling. Ive been going there for 20 years, and the quality is still there! But I admit that I have a weakness for the sushi of the current chef-owner, whom I knew at Yasu in La Prairie! Delicious!
The food was good BUT...I waited for food for an hour!!! Table who arrived later than us got the orders and we were still waiting. I have a 3 year old child who wait for her food for an hour!!!! We arrived almost the first one and we were in the restaurant for more than 2 hours!!!!!! We only order 2 bentos!!!!!!! This is horrible!!! If u have young child, I will not recommended at all!!!
Delicious food and great service. My second visit in the last 3 weeks. Will visit again on my next trip in November. Parking: Large parking lot
the sashimi and sushi was excellent! but the service is a little bit slow, but really worth it
Best sushi joint in the area, in a little gem of a strip mall. Staff are polite, and the sushi is of a good quality. They also have Quebec sea urchin from Rimouski, which is special.
We got sushi to take away. Very nice selection, wonderfully prepared and presented. And the prices are quite suitable and affordable. Thanks to the entire women s team.
Very good menu, good choices for a sushi place!!!!
Hidden gem of the GMA
A Brossard treasure. The sushi is tasty, delicious and fresh!!! Good service.
I give it a 5 star, not because its a 5 star restaurant, because its not, but because its Simple, Traditional, and Memorable. Its good its good its good! Everything is good. Everything melted in my mouth. My wife and I absolutely loved our evening. Party atmosphere, people talk loudly, people laugh, the owner is close to the dining room and takes care of the sushi bar, while keeping a keen eye on his customers and the dining room. We had the chance to taste sea urchin for the first time (eee wow). The service was very attentive and dynamic. The sushi was perfect, and I ate one of the best chicken karaage of my life (slightly crispy on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside). The eel was well grilled, fatty, and tender. Even the teriyaki salmon was tender (I thought I cooked Japanese well, but I need to redo my homework). Dont let yourself be bothered by all the people who come to get their take-out sushi and who chat with the chef (its part of the experience). We had some other delicious things, but Ill stop there. Its up to you to try it. Unpretentious.
Truly the most authentic japanese sushi restaurant Brossard has to offer. Try it and I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
So the sushi combos are nothing exceptional BUT the special items those are amazing I tried the soft crab tempura and Toro sushi Absolutely amazing Food : 5/5
Exceptional food quality, attentive service, nice ambience. 5 stars
The sushi was delicious! I went to eat with two friends and the set was enough for 3 people. The Shari was a little dry, but it was totally delicious.
Diarrhea after eating SUSHI & SASHIMI. Is the owner still Japanese?
Well prepared Japanese classics made by Japanese staff who care about what they serve.
Real authentic yet tasty type of Japanese sushi bar EVER.
I have tried many sushi restaurants and this one always has great quality ingredients. You can also enjoy Japanese home-style menus and izakaya menus. This restaurant is very reasonable too! If you miss Japanese cuisine or have never tried Japanese cuisine, this is the place to go! The sushi chefs and all the staff are wonderful and kind. Thanks again
The smallest pieces of sushi I have ever seen. Manu says for two, when the plate came, it was not enough for one either. very high prices. We paid $107 to have our appetizer and then went to the Chinese restaurant next door to have our full meal.
We had a reservation at 7, by the time we sat down, it took them 45 minute to come get our order we waited another 20 minute before getting our chef salad and then another 15 minute for the fried food. By the time our sushi came, half of the order was missing. They even forgot our tuna uni hand roll. We got our hand roll at the end but with very little uni on it, they charge 18$ for that overall overpriced and unpleasant experience.
The service is the worst of all. The way the owner looked at me the moment I entered was also rude. The sushi is delicious, but I wont go there again. The toilet was also dirty.
Charming place were the sushi is always fresh and the customer service is # 1. All this for an affordable price. Very traditional and one of the top places on the south shore for sushi! Food : 5/5
Excellent quality and service! This is my first choice for sushi and sashimi on the South Shore! Be sure to reserve in advance if you go on weekends, because its almost always packed.
Really good place, amazing food and truly hospitable staff! Recommended to me by my Japanese friend and I am so glad she did
Delicious time in a cool ambience just make sure to reserve ahead
The sushi there is excellent! The dishes are simple, succulent, varied and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend!! Only recommended improvement: That the website clearly indicates the closure on Monday and Tuesday. Which is a shame but hey, we all need to rest...
Delicious sushi and always fresh fish. Price and quality is definitely one of the best in Brossard
Fried chicken starter: dry without sauce so ordinary Sushi: ordinary too, little protein whether salmon, shrimp etc... All were very salty... I guess we didnt choose the right dishes or their specificities... We didnt finish our dish and we went to eat elsewhere. We wont go back
Service is slow at lunchtime
Good food but service vvvv slow. I waited with my children 45 min!!!!to get the food , they prioritize orders online instead of people sitting at the tables. U should stop orders if place is full and u cant keep up
Very kind staff. Food quality is worth the price. Small restaurant but the food and service makes it worth while.
Cozy sushi place and a hidden gem in the south shore. Authentic Japanese cuisine in a relaxed and quiet setting. Only negative which seems to have become a problem lately is the extremely slow service, as take-out orders are treated with the same priority as dine-in. Meaning if you just sat down and ordered at the restaurant, but they got a dozen or more orders by phone, you re waiting 1 to 2 hours for your order to be served. Something must change in that regards. But the food, the staff, the ambience are otherwise all excellent. Will always come back for more but I hope the speed aspect will be improved
Overall great! Staff is awesome. Food is awesome. Highly recommended!
1 hour and a half wait time and the sushi was good but quality has gotten worse throughout the years. Wish they would prioritize the people actually dining in the restaurant over the take out orders.
Super slow, soy sauce is super salty, wrong order and bad attitude
Authentic Japanese chefs, using fresh fish
Sushi was good as usual. Great service. However, there is a change in the ice cream, which is not as flavourful and tasty as before!
Restaurant closed on a Friday without any indication to this effect.
It used to be our regular neighborhood restaurant. Don t know since when, this new year when we go again, the service is horrible: I know they are busy, but when you arrive at the door, none of the waitress greet and acknowledge you, at least a nodding. It made you feel you owe them something; then you order with a poker face; and never have any service again until you get the bill. Also not baby friendly. We will not go there again.
Food is ok. But, the wait time is absolutely ridiculous. It took them 50 mins to serve my sushi. And, there weren t even many customers at the time. On top of that terrible wait time, the service is also terrible. The waitresses are rude and absent for the most of time.
My wife is Japanese, she dont want to eat at any other Japanese restaurant. And i understand her, the food is authentic, the service is very good. The new Sushi chef ( Older one just retired ) is also very professional, skilled, and an all around good person. I recommend to any one who value quality and freshness to have a try. Im salivating just by making my review. :) Parking: Parking is at the door, lots of spots empty at all times.
Would ve been perfect if the soy sauce wasn t too salty. It was more like a regular soy sauce than the usual sweet soy sauce for sushi. I hope they ll change it because the sushis are good but the saltiness of the sauce overcomes the flavours and unfortunately I m used to dip every pieces of sushi in soy sauce. :(
Comforting food, cozy space; fair price. Ive had sushi in Japan and while nothing is quite the same, the ambiance and service come close. Last time I went there was Japanese hand soap in the bathroom. I asked the cashier why. My mom brought it back from Japan. She thinks its better, she answered.
Forcing customer to pay 15% tips, but no service provided, it s just not right. Food is good, but the service is horrible. Waited for more than 10 mins, no one is available to take the order. Not your typical customer focus Japanese restaurant. I m a returned customer, but this will be my last time.
The food is excellent and deserves actually the reviews its getting. Just make sure to book in advance as the space is quite small. Will definetly be back soon!
The food was good. Overall on the pricier side, but fair. But comparatively to when it was in La Prairie, not as great
The sushi is excellent but the service is impossibly slow. More than an hour of waiting for two combos! Its no good when the restaurant isnt even full. The waitress was also not very aware of the contents of the dishes, which is not reassuring...
Very busy in a small restaurant. I ordered Combo E and a Ramen. The arrangement of Combo E is so presentable. Worth the money and wait for different varieties in a combo. All the staff are nice to their customers. I highly recommend this sushi restaurant and will visit again
Always a great experience at Yasu! Been here and taken out food many times and consistently yummy every time! Bento box give you a good variety of foods
The taste was very Japanese and I was impressed. Quite reasonable compared to downtown The service from the Japanese staff was also great. I visited this restaurant because it was recommended to me, and it was definitely a restaurant that I could highly recommend.
If you want to experience Japanese flavor this is the ideal place: authentic Japanese food, cooked by Japanese and served with Japanese elegance. A restaurant to discover. All the members of the Sandokai Kobudo Shugyokai dojo were delighted. Memorable evening!
Excellent restaurant. Many of the customers are Japanese so we know it tastes authentic. The service is courteous and polite. We ate both sushi and entrees. Everything was good. The price is very reasonable.
one of the best places for sushi in Brossard
Best sushi place in Brossard :) ... Order ahead of time because it gets busy #thatgoodya
I read some reviews stating that the soya sauce is too salty...I dont think its too salty because thats how original soya sauce should taste. They are serving real kikoman soya sauce and not diluted soya sauce with water and sugar. If the regular soya sauce is too salty to your taste, they can serve you *light* soya sauce We have always enjoyed the quality of their food by serving us fresh food.
If you ve eaten sushi in Japan and know japanese sushi, here you will enjoy sushi even you are in Quebec!
Found a decent sushi place finally! So tasty. When budget allows, the tables and chair can upgrade to make the atmosphere more zen.
42 morceaux 6 Avocado / 8 Spiced Salmon 8 Spiced Tuna / 5 Dragon Eye 5 California /5 Kamikaze 5 Spiced Tempura I recently had the pleasure of trying the sushi at 42 Morceaux, and it was an exceptional experience. The variety and quality of their sushi rolls were truly impressive. the Dragon Eye roll was a standout choice. Its combination of ingredients was not only visually appealing but also incredibly tasty.
Authentic Japanese sushi! Very delicious
Loved it! Gréât spot for a family meal :)
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine at a relatively low price compared to Montreal. Both sushi and snacks are very delicious. Personally, I recommend the fried whelk. Parking: There is always a vacant spot to park your car behind the building.
Without making a reservation, they just told me to close the store. They refused to wait in the store and asked me to leave. There are a lot of seats, some are marked reserved, many are not. Ask me to go at eight oclock in the evening and eat leftovers? Not recommended.
We went for lunch Got lunch specials The curry pork had good taste The sushi was ok Our son had fried chicken which was moist. Liked the ice cream
Very wonderful sushi and enjoyed this beef and foie Gras combo! We also had uni/sea urchin here and it was the best Ive had since my last trip to Japan.
I have been going to this sushi place for over 20 years. Just recently went back and it s as amazing as it s always been. Food is fantastic, great prices and variety. All freshly made on-site in front of you. Service is great. Very friendly staff. The place was full as per usual. I highly recommend.
Very good sushi, always fresh! Soya sauce a bit too salty.
All time favorite sushi place. Been going for at least 15+ years and they never disappoint! It s truly a hidden gem. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
Simply one of the best Japanese restaurants. Unpretentious but the quality is there. The sushi is classic but tasty and generous. Not filled with panko or tempura like elsewhere. Vegetarian options: Several types of sushi are vegetarian.
Great discovery! Everything is excellent!
Most of the sushis we ordered were mediocre. Chicken katsu was not fully cooked. Part of our sushi order never came, but we didn t bother mentioning it since the food we did get took so long and wasn t spectacular.
Excellent BUT unfortunately they prepare orders for outside as a priority. Restaurant customers come 2nd
Very good food, real takoyaki, and sushi prepared fresh by real japanese chefs in front of you. Their specialty seems to be tuna and uni, which is creamy and tastes fresh. however, service was slow; they seemed to have too many orders coming from ubereats/phone. I recommend the tuna, salmon, teriyaki beef. Prices were actually very cheap for what were getting, could easily fill your belly on sushi alone if you stay away from the premium uni. Parking: plenty of parking but might get full quickly since there are 2 other restaurants in this area
Probably THE best Sushi place in the whole Metropolitain Montreal Area. Always some fantastic new arrivals on the menu. The rice is always impeccable.Toro Tuna with Sea Urchin hand roll was roll your eyeballs good. Parking: Located in a mini mall. Tons of free parking
I was surprised by how everything was so good! I tried a uni seafood bowl and it tasted so fresh, did not taste fishy at all!
Went with friends. We ordered a lot that I didnt take photos of. Everything was fresh and at a good price. Service was prompt and top notch. Not a bad selection of sakes. Must go.
We had the bento and found the taste of the three fish unpleasant. I woke up the next day with diarrhea and other symptoms, which completely negated the positives I found in my experience.
The best Japanese restaurant in the Great Montreal area. They have 2 kitchen areas, one for hot food and another for sushi. Food
I had the bento box and inside were the best sushi and tempura I have ever tasted!!! The price was also super affordable for everthing
Worst ever. No manner. Never recommend.
Its really tasty, I tried their Takoyaki Balls and Fish Soup, all is awesome Definately recommande
Delicious sushi !
Delicious sushis
Very disappointed! They did not check any vaxicodes, nor did they abide by the 50% capacity rules. The place was fully packed. We did not feel safe at all. Its too bad, because their food is excellent. If you are on the fence about going out for dinner, I suggest doing takeout or going somewhere safer.
Frequented several times (on site but especially sushi to take away)... Solid. I recommend and go back frequently. Kampai
Longstanding Japanese restaurant with an extensive menu serving authentic and most affordable fare. Sushi is pretty fresh, portions are substantial. The tempura and agedashi tofu arent the best in town. Theyve got grilled yellowtail neck, so thats a definite plus. Sometimes theyve got market specials like monkfish liver.
Amazing food and amazing service! Try the plum wine
Very fresh sushi and good variety of excellent Japanese dishes. As the sushi is prepared to order, they are very fresh but the lead time is longer. Remember to order a starter to wait.
The Sushi, maki, sashimi are excellent. Service is courteous. Average prices per dish = 15$ - 20$.
This place was such an unexpected gem! First of all, the staff there are absolutely wonderful: Really attentive and kind, and made our dining experience all the better. Second of all, the food is SUPERB. We ordered two nigiri supremes and they were absolutely perfect. Great amount of rice, fresh fish, and great diversity in the combo. You also get some nicer cuts like toro, which is hard to find in other sushi places.
Good value for lunch. All meals come with a salad or soup and ice cream. I would recommend ordering the bento box or the chirashi. The fish in the chirashi is cut a bit thin but taste fresh! I ve ordered the sushi platters as well and they are good. Would not recommend going for dinner as the prices are much more expensive for the same dishes.
Varied menu, fast service and in French
Probably the only authentic sushi place I know here. There isnt really any good authentic sushi in and around Montreal so this is a very special gem. Japanese owned and run to boot!
Everything is delicious! My favorite place to eat Japanese food, also the staff is very friendly
Delicious !
Just wow.
I dunno how they got all these stars. I gave it a shot today and i ordered their seasonal dish, Uni Don, the sea urchins. As a delicacy i expected to have something decent and a good experience. IT Was HORRIBLE!!! The sea urchins were spoiled, bad and decaying. Either hardened with an awfull taste and smell or turning into liquid with an extremly bad taste and bitterness... ive had sea urchins many times before, and this time it was horrendous. It went to garbage. You can at least check what u serve people
This is the best sushi Ive had here so far the people are amazing, the place is cozy, they have a great variety of sushi and a whole menu Im willing to try (one item after the other).
Went with other 4 friends and spent $35 (per person). It doesnt worth my money at all. I would be able to get more and better sushi from Sushishop for $35.
Soya sauce was very salty ..I don t trust the google review anymore ..
Holy f*** that was good! Really really good! Great ambiance and great service. I would return anytime. Make sure you make a reservation before going!!! Edit : still a superb restaurant.
The Best
Family and I have been regular customers for over ten years. This is authentic Japanese cuisine of a very wide range. Accommodating staff, and well priced. Highly recommended.
The ingredients of the sashimi platter are fresh, the sashimi is seasoned moderately, the tempura temperature is just right without delaying the best tasting time, the fried chicken steak is crispy and fragrant, and the grilled beef tongue is a bit old and low temperature. The service is warm and thoughtful. It s great for families to eat casually. The ingredients of the sashimi platter are fresh, the seasoning of the vinegar is controlled, the tempura temperature is just right without delaying the best tasting time, the fried chicken chop is crispy and fragrant, and the grilled beef tongue is a bit old and the temperature is low. The service is warm and thoughtful. Its good for families to eat whatever they want.
It s my first order but also the last one. The maki is too small, that not the style of a restaurant, more like from the counter of a supermarket. Soya sauce is not delicious but too salty. Rice is too sour. Very disappointed experience.
Everything is good! Everything is tasty! A friend, who lived in Japan for almost 2 years, told me that this is one of the restaurants whose dishes are most similar to what she ate there.
Very good sushi place. Food is really excellent. A place to check out
I m very pleased with this restaurant. I lived in Japan and I know what real Japanese food is supposed to taste like, and this place has it spot on. The workers are all very friendly, this is as close to authentic Japanese as you can get. If you want to try real Japanese food, this is the place to go!
Excellent quality! Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Service was friendly. Will definitely come back!
Yasu is a must-see neighborhood restaurant in Brossard and a little hidden treasure in the Greater Montreal region. My favorite items: - Tsubugai kaarage (fried clams) which are truly pleasant bites to eat with a drizzle of lemon juice! Think fish and chips, but in a clam version and in its Japanese-style gourmet simplicity. - Tamago (sweet Japanese omelette) - Delicious nigiri! For the atmosphere, dont expect anything ultra chic and elegant, but rather an authentic and friendly Japanese restaurant.
Well for my wife it seemed very good, but for me the curry shrimp, very bad choice! First of all, since when do you serve breaded shrimp bathed in a curry sauce? Once the shrimp is breaded in the sauce, it crisps and becomes a wet bread....Very ordinary! Good and courteous service.
Excelent service and food!
Excellent
If you cannot decide and like to try a little bit of everything, the bento box is for you. The unagi bento box was really good with crunchy bits (tempura and spring rolls), delicious sashimi, a portion of unagi rice and shrimp yakitori. The Chirashi plate was soooo filling. A big variety of sashimi in a bed of rice.
We loved the food and the service. We usually order for takeout and we were always satisfied and this time, we had dinner there and the staff was nice and the food fresh and good.
Excellent
sushi here is always great. I always see friends here so Im sure Im not the only one liking this place. I tried the ramen here... nah... stick with the sushi. hehe.
Fresh food! Busy restaurant. Parking: Parking available in the mall
Their sushi is amazing, and good price
I have been coming there for more then 15 years. The best sushi and sashimi in the Montreal area. The service is excellent. It s a family run restaurant. The price for quality is amazing!
Good fresh sushi and inexpensive too! 42 makis for $46. Its my favorite. Ok atmosphere and super friendly staff! I advise you to make a reservation if you want to go there on the weekend at 5pm.
The sushi and sashimi were great! We loved it. The service was great too, but Im giving one less star because the Chinese lady was really not nice to my mother... my mother only speaks Cantonese, so she wanted to get some advice on the restaurants specials, the lady gave her a BIG ATTITUDE to despise without having answered the questions, she just left without saying anything it was really disrespectful.
Very good japanese restaurant. The food was very tasty. The service was good. And they served us very quickly. At lunch, the price worths it.
Delicious! Would be back soon!
Authentic japanese restaurant with amazing flavors. You cant go wrong going to Sushi Yasu. Food
I ve been a regular customer for over 15+ years before moving away for a few years but coming back to Yasu this time was met with great disappointment. We waited over 30 mins to have tea and over an hour for our order. The restaurant was known for the quality of food and service but service has become mediocre and items were forgotten here and there and we had to chase the waitresses constantly.
The sushi was not fresh and tasteless. But the udon was delicious. And the food came out too late. I dont think its worth visiting here again.
Really authentic and tasty. Service could be improved but food is amazing. Overall good experience.
Delicious sushi place. Small and cozy
Great quality sushi and good price.
Very friendly staff and the food was good.
Unassuming little restaurant but with really great sushi at an amazing price. Far from home, but definitely adding it to the list of places I want to go back to!
I really enjoyed my experience here. Service is good but the food is exceptional. I enjoyed the sushi and sashimi. But for me the stars were the grilled eel bowl and the tuna belly. Do yourself a favour and try both. This is the closest Ive come to eating proper Japanese food in Canada. Always a good sign when youre still at the restaurant and youre already planning your next visit. There is free parking on the premises. Definitely worth a detour to try this place.
Dix Tran Italian restaurant
Fantastic restaurant that I have been to countless times. Each and every time, the food was deliciois and the service was friendly both during lunch times and dinner times. The food does get pricey for dinner, especially if you plan to only eat sushi, but I believe the quality is worth the price. Lunch time is a lot more affordable and still offers a decent selection.
Definitely here is the best sushi in the town. Im crazy about Otoro, raw shrimp and ramen:)
Came back in 2021 after not going for a year or so. Sushi is as good as ever. Best place in Montreal region hands down. Forget those overpriced places downtown. Yasu Brossard is the place to be for real authentic sushi thats not going to cost you an arm.
Authentic Japanese! Succulent!
Honestly the best sushi ive had in montreal and ive been to Japan! Highly reccomend it. Very good service and amazing food
Quality going down and prices go up. In addition, they don t even care do customers who have been eating there for years. Server was totally no respectful when I was indicating something she just turn side and go away. Last time there for sure!
Still so tasty! It is not for nothing that this restaurant is the one that the Japanese from the consulate usually frequent. Very nice selection of traditional sushi with little room for trendy Americanized sushi. Excellent service. Warm atmosphere. Delight of the palate and a change of scenery guaranteed.
Always good
I really enjoyed the sushi here. Great service even though they were very busy tonight. I cant wait to go back.
Good dinner...
Went for lunch yesterday with a group of five. Everybody loved their order. The ice creams are exotic and delicious. The service very friendly.
Excellent sushi. Very fresh and delicious!
Very good
Arguably the best place for Japanese food in the South Shore. The staff is always polite and courteous, and I have visited numerous without any complaints Highly recommend if you have not tried, you will not be disappointed!
The best place for Japanese meals. Excellent service.
The best Sashimi in town
