Rio Pizza in Brossard

The employee must learn at least basic French to serve in French. Error in Uber order. I went back to take her directly to the restaurant because they kept putting me on hold on the phone. On arrival it was impossible to have service in French. Clean place, good pizza (nothing like before with the cheese), good fries. In short, it was not a good overall experience. I hope they make changes because the place is friendly and well located.

In the past, it was the best pizza on the South Shore! Now its one of the worst. :( Dont trust the 5-star reviews, either from people who have no taste or fake accounts. Its disappointing and such a shame, but thats life... RIP Rio pizza.

Ive been waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes for a lasagna and a salad....they said it was gone....I called back after 1h15 and left me on the line after 10 minutes of waiting I hung up and called them back lines all busy!!!! 2nd time this has happened to me!!!! I was supposed to have credit....no it doesnt exist, he said when I placed the order!!!! No more!!!!

Im calling for a delivery. The guy answers me and just speaks to me in English. Again, I dont care a little, I understand him and he seems to understand.. If we can say so. I ask him for the plate of 1 pita with fries. He replies its too cheap... I tell him hes going to have something else too. He tells me again its too cheap do you understand.. I tell him again that hes going to have other things with that He still tells me its too cheap. So I said let it go and hung up. They just lost an order of $50+ and the tips plus a customer. Very ordinary but good. They who manage their restaurants as they want.

Used to be one of my favorite pizza place. Now they just serve overpriced but average pizza. From fresh cut potatoes to Canvendish fries for the poutine was really insulting...

Very disappointed...for some time now the sauce, dough and ingredients have all changed. Like the 2 for 1 Pizza which passes through a conveyor...Yuck the ingredients of the 2 for 1 Pizza are the same taste everywhere (Canned sauce? Pate Boff, no sourdough no very bland taste. The pepperoni, you can count the pieces NO big loss in product quality I will have to find another Pizzeria (a good one, a REAL one!) Oh without counting the cleanliness when you wait at the checkout the floor the walls etc... burk ha yeah and to close it. all if you pay with interac tipping is obligatory which starts at 15% otherwise you cannot complete your transaction... Here is my opinion.

When you look for the order and you dont leave a tip, the attitude changes and they make you wait. Luckily there are other places to order. The tip is earned.

I called at 7:15 a.m. I ordered a Caesar and 12 chicken wings, the girl told me 30 40 minutes perfect. 1 hour passes I call back the delivery man leaves 15 min max I wait outside 20 min I call back I am put on hold and 6 7 min I spoke to the delivery man 15 later I get no answer twice so I call back on the another number it ANSWERS and they ask me what I ordered LOLLLL the guy puts me on hold the same guy there and tells me are you sure you ordered here WHAT? I told her you called her I think a while ago and you told me 6 7 min you knew what my order was uh I dont know. To err is human but he knew it very well and instead of calling for real they told me soon and in the end they finally called the delivery man to find out that he didnt wash or I dont know what. They didnt care and it seemed please be careful the hotel where I am the Brassard hotel is no longer going to distribute their menu because yesterday a guy waited 1h40 I found out afterwards so nice gang all crooked I hope no one will experience this just for wanting to encourage a restaurant that doesnt care about customers have a good summer everyone

There are about four tables for two inside the store. There are more outdoor tables outside. Both pizza and spaghetti were delicious. The person at the counter was friendly.

Best pizza in town! At first we doubted them but it ended up being the best pizza and poutine we had in town. ( 4 years ago) Even though its not the usual thin crust pizza that I adore, the pizzas served here are still one of my favourites. The pizzas are served with a generous amount of toppings and they are rather fresh too. I especially like how there is a lot of cheese and sauce which makes each bite juicy and flavourful. (2 years ago) Im sorry but my latest experience was disappointing. I have been ordering Rio Pizza for so long and I am sad to see the quality drop by so much. My pizza was undercooked, we could still taste the dough and it was overwhelming all the other flavours of the pizza. The Rio Boss poutine that I used to enjoy so much had a distracting burnt taste from the fries, the sauce was so bland compared to what we used to order and the meat was just not as well prepared as it used to be. Even the amount of toppings decreased by so much.

For the last few months I have been going to Rio pizza when I want a good pizza, probably the best in the neighborhood. I also tried the chicken wings which are delectable and this evening it was the spaghetti with a very good sauce. well done and thank you for your excellent service and Catherine s beautiful smile

At one point this was the best pizza on the south shore. After COVID I don t know what happened. The pizza doesn t taste anything it used to. We tried it on 2 occasions and the Taste is really not there anymore. Will not order pizza from Rio again.

Customer since 1980 total disappointment, I knew the last 2 owners very well when Joe and Italo sold the next one who was faithful to the recipe for the pizza and the sauce, even though they increased the quantity of meat in the sauce and added another cheese, Unfortunately it sold out several months ago. The pizza recipe is terrible for $25 it was flat. Straight crust dry cheese (a frozen delisio would be better). The beautiful pizza with melting cheese, elastic with a beautiful soft crust, thick and well-filled pizza no longer exists. All the members of my family were saddened to see that they had to change pizzaria (miss italia but the sauce tastes different). The big word in the story when you buy a restaurant be faithful to what it was and dont destroy the recipes of Italo and Joe and especially the clientele A client who had been loyal for over 35 years

I ordered twice from Rio recently, and I was surprised how good the pizza are. The pizza sauce tastes more garlicky compare to the old Rio which I like, and I actually like their pizza better now than years ago. Perfect for my taste. One thing that I am disappointed is their sous-marin sandwiches, the fillings are tiny, only a few pieces of meat inside the sandwich. Order their pizza and lasagna instead.

Its sad. It was the best pizza on the South Shore or almost for years. A real pizza of good quality and now its a cheap game 2/1 pizza. New owner and new ways of doing things. Joe and Italo would be horrified at what their old restaurant has become. Even the second owner had kept and improved the recipes. It was a good restaurant. The fries were not good and the receptionist was terribly stupid. Like youre bothering her.

The gentleman did not speak French, we called and asked for a half all dressed and half pepperoni pizza, the service was quite quick but the pizza was completely all dressed so he gave us a discount.

Owner should really read the reviews and try to make the changes needed. Soggy pizza, the sauce has a nice flavor, just to liquid to hold on a pizza, pepperoni has no flavor. I do not mind a greasy pizza, but soggy it is a no no.

One of the best pizzas, I have tasted in a long time. And very accommodating. Through Skip. Highly recommend Rio Pizza. P.S. there French fries are not from frozen, they are fresh and Delicious. Go try it.

TO THE NEW ADMINISTRATION: YOU HAVE COMPLETELY DESTROYED RIO PIZZAS EXCELLENT REPUTATION! SHAME ON YOU! Ive been a customer for over 30 yrs, when they were in the little strip mall on Taschereau. When they sold for the 1st time after moving onto Auteuil, the new owner did an incredible job of maintaining the quality and taste of the food. Now? Theres been what? 2 or 3 owners since then? COMPLETELY DOWNHILL each time. Today was just ridiculous! What a waste of money! The lasagna is watery. The outer rim of cheese was burnt. The sauce is an absolute insult to the original owner. The pizza (once the winner of the best on the south shore) is now an embarrassment. My 10 pepperoni sub tonight, had about 10 pieces of pepperoni and the bread was so overcooked it was crunchy. My kids called is a salad sub. Rio pizza was my go-to and YOU RUINED WHAT WAS ONCE AN AMAZING EATERY! DO BETTER!

Last time I called customer service was incredibly rude, they had just introduced the new order online website and it wasnt clear and the lady on the phone screamed at me for not knowing how it worked, ive never ordered from there since and I never will quakity immensely went down too.

They dont respect opening hours

I am very very very disappointed. Fake mozzarella on the pizzas, ham in the bacon pizza and my teenager says that the spagetti costs like old spag from the school canteen. Its really changed since the new owners, the quality of the meals is not worth the price. I no longer recommend.

Food was great! I took off one star because of the crust on the pizza wasnt the best I ever had but was still good. Marinara was amazing. And the staff was awesome. Really attentive and polite/nice. As far as atmosphere it was not that great. Inside is basically takeout. With a few small tables. And outside they have a patio but tables where plastic patio style tables. Good enough to eat but wouldnt take someone on a date/business meeting type place. All in all its one of the better pizza places if you are going for just that. Would definitely recommend.

Pizza is all I ate, its good especially the Rio Boss and the Rio special. My friend thinks it lacks sauce and on this point he is right. It is better to go and get it (15% less) because in terms of delivery it is not great. I go there a lot less since that famous time when they delivered me a cold pizza and told me they would give me a free pizza next time. Obviously they never did. So I boycotted them for over a year and went to Miss Italia for the shrimp pizza and the new pizzeria in Saint-Lambert.. The time when I ordered there is now gone forever. At the end of 2021 they were found guilty of 2 offenses by the MAPAQ: uncleanliness and unmaintained temperature of dishes. Total $1250 fines.

We used to order here practically every week for the past 30 years and have always loved it BUT ever since the new owner/new recipe...it is not the same at ALL.. the pizza has lost its special quality , does not taste the same anymore :( We will be going somewhere else now for our weekly pizza . If youre going to change the recipe you should also change the name of the restaurant!

I loved ordering from here... Until they changed the bacon. Incredibly overpowering smoky flavour. You might as well order charred wood. If thats your thing, youll love it. But I much rather be able to taste other ingredients. Im not a fan of eating charcoal

They lost this customer. This place USED to be amazing. Now its mediocre at best. The pizza changed and is now more like what I call assembly line pizza that you get from the Big Pizza chains. Pizza crust is that prefab type and probably comes frozen from some factory. The lyrics no longer offer the Special Rio Bread for the subs. I think they changed owners and ever since it hasnt been the same.

We moved to the area 2 years ago and were pleasantly surprised to find a pizzeria a block away that taste like Como. Unfortunately since the change of owner, the pizza taste aweful!!! I guess their plan to save on the ingredients and change the recipe backfired coz they lost lots of customers. Never ordering again .

Customer since 1970. Rio was the reference for good pizza in Brossard. Something has happened in the last 6 months! QQN CHANGED THE RECIPE. The cooking the sauce the cheese the pepperonis! the taste is completely different. I dont recommend it. (you are served in English, take out in 11 minutes!!! NO it s 20 minutes!) Good luck ! Its over for us.

Great food, decent prices, fairly quick turnaround from order to food being ready. Location is very small inside but has a decently sized patio area out front.

Very different pizza since the new ownership. No longer the feel and taste of an independent pizza place, its now the same as all the chain places. Its okay pizza, just not the great pizza it used to be. When I got the first pizza under the new ownership and opened it at home, I thought I had gone to the wrong place.

Ive been a fan of Rio Pizza for about 35 years or so. Was the best around. Had a pizza today didnt enjoy it at all. Nothing special..pretty much awful ..much like most pizza places. I threw out the leftovers. I now see that the owners have changed. Obviously they are cutting back on quality, its not even close. Never buying Rio again!

Paid for steak and pepperoni sub with extra pepperoni for 4.99 more and ended up having like 12 pieces of pepperoni in my 14inch sub! Also got a pepsi that is priced 1.99 but after checking the bill it was priced at 3.98! Last time I order there!!!!!

At Rio, its quite disappointing. First of all, every time I call I always feel like Im bothering them... RIO!?!? And they never tell you how much your bill is. Customer service is not their strength, that much is clear. Then, I was very disappointed with the pizza. Cheap pizza on sauce and cheese and they replace the pepperoni with salami without telling you. Poutine... even worse. Old fries that have clearly been in the fryer for too long. Anyway, I think it was my last time at Rio, I hope you will be less disappointed than me but I doubt it.

I will never order from this place again. Called in the evening for a delivery. Received a pizza with undercooked, soft crust, cold pepperoni and disappointing sauce taste. Its like they just put the pizza in to melt the cheese. So we didnt eat the pizza. I call the day after opening for a refund, inform them of the uncooked pizza and that I can bring it to them. The manager doesnt believe me and tells his receptionist to send me the message that its impossible and that he can give me a $3 credit, thats all. Great service from a champion. Maybe your employee didnt put your pizza in long enough or change your oven cooking time. Implying that your customers are lying, well done.

I just changed my rating from 5 to 1 star. Its been 3 times that the kitchen has made mistakes/forgotten things in my orders. The straw that broke the camels back. The supposed boss only offers me $10 in compensation (on an order of $70). At the quantity I order, they have just lost me as a customer. Im going to look elsewhere.

Awful pizza! It arrived in a lake of grease. Almost no sauce. Pepperoni UNDER the cheese. All the toppings slide off. They didnt even cut it. 1/5 EDIT: ordered again and while it was really overloaded with cheese and the pepperoni was under the cheese, the taste was really there this time!! We devoured it. The wings + fries were amazing, too. Still dont know why they wont cut it unless asked, though!

In from Toronto visiting family in St Hubert and ordered a jumbo all dressed. All I can say is YUM ! Loved it (plus they spoke English, bonus !). Ill be back

I must say this was by far the best Pizza Ive had in a long time. Next time Im in MTL I will be stopping here again. Note to owner or the youn man that served me. Garlic Knots. Make it happen.

Rio Pizza, you just made yourself a new customer. Its the first time i ordered from this place, and it wont be the last. I saw the reviews a couple of days ago, and was like, i need to try this out. Very good restaurant. My Pizza was excellent.

Ordered a pizza with no olives. Got a pizza with olives. Okay, errors happen. They offer me a credit, no problem, then Im told that the credit will be 3 dollars. Ridiculous.
