Restaurant Rouge in Brossard

First experience for me at this restaurant and certainly not the last! Everything was absolutely delicious but what made our evening memorable was Jordans EXCEPTIONAL service. An extraordinary service, it made us experience a WOW!

Our meal was delicious, generous general tao and quality chicken. The only disappointment was our desert, a pecan tartlet that tasted like cardboard and was empty of content. But Im ready to go back despite that.

Par chance notre serveur qui était bien au courant du problème a accepté de nous changer de place. Donc si vous voulez manger avec votre manteau sur le dos et manger de la nourriture fade c est la bonne place.

Really great

General Tao ordinary chicken overcooked, lukewarm peanut chicken not hot enough! and I asked for fried rice and received white rice. A place that I will return to for more ordinary food.

There is no menu suitable for children. We went for a party and my daughters didnt really have a choice between sharing a plate or having a simple starter. Dietary restrictions: No information on the menu but generally dairy-free for the majority of dishes. Kid-friendliness: None

Nice place but bland food, too greasy. Soup served lukewarm, flavorless shrimp, cold fried bananas, floury, thick and flavorless breading. I definitely wont go back. We were served with a smile and efficiency.

I waited 30 minutes while the other tables got their drinks served and didnt even get a simple glass of water. I ended up leaving!

We had the table dhôte, hot and sour soup, imperial rolls, General Tao chicken, chicken and shrimp pad thai and fried bananas for dessert, all were really delicious, good portions and lovely atmosphere. Our waitress Louise Marie was really friendly, efficient and with a wonderful smile.

Update: Our last meal of Singapore noodles was way too salty. Almost not edible. I remove two stars. But our previous experiences were so good that we are going to try again. As usual, the service was excellent and the food equally good. We have never gone wrong at Rouge to date. We loved the shrimp starter for two and the main dishes were very good and plentiful.

We ve been going here for a while and enjoyed the food. However, our last two visits have been disappointing. The quality of the food has gone down, substantially. We won t be going back.

I am writing this from the toilet a few hours after the meal. I dont know what was in my food, but it really wasnt great.

Although the place is charming and it is well located next to the theater, this place should be avoided. I was served a peanut chicken that had no peanuts in it. It was an ocean of sweet sauce, on which we had placed even sweeter spinach (we could see the sugar crystals on it). I felt like I had an entire jar of VH sauce on my plate. I didnt eat and my classmates had uncomfortable digestive issues during the show. The waitress tried to accommodate us, but good service on a horrible meal wont make up for my rating.

We were a table of 7 people this evening, we had barely ordered when the food was already in front of us to our great surprise...and unfortunately it was disgusting, tasteless and the padthai smelled downright like vomit...avoid this restaurant, in 45 minutes we were already outside, we almost left everything. Worst restaurant of my life. And the ultra-fast service like in a fast food restaurant. Too bad the frame is beautiful.

I dont know if the restaurant has changed chefs but our dinner was nothing but disappointment. A take-out order whose dishes were split so they all spilled. A noodle dish whose description does not match what is written on the menu. An obligation to go back and get the dish again. Peanut Noodles that dont taste like peanuts at all, but like salt and soy sauce. A dumpling starter that was way too salty and a very ordinary General Tao chicken. I, who loved this restaurant, will not go back there again.

Unfortunately I dont recommend this restaurant to anyone. Previously it was my favorite restaurant, but now sorry if Im being harsh, but it couldnt have made it any less good, its made it disgusting and again... I called on a Saturday to speak with a manager and they told me indicates there are no supervisors or bosses until Tuesday evening. The presentation of the pad thai = the worst I have ever seen.. it looked like a carrot salad with a cup of peanut on top. Taste = zero... it smells and tastes like fish that isnt fresh... not to mention outdated... unable to eat more than a mouthful. The chicken seems torn.... in short avoid this restaurant at all costs this restaurant does not deserve in any way its weight in gold $$$$

The dan dan noodles were not what we expected at all. There was no spice. It was kind of like eating peanut butter soup with bits of chicken in it, and with one uniform flavour throughout. 2 out of 6 of us enjoyed their meal. Nice decor and atmosphere though.

Fast service, fast food delivery, calm atmosphere. If you are very hungry you will need an appetizer. Portions are what they probably should be for humans that dont want to over eat when they are out.

I have just ordered via Skip, 2 meals delivered for $70 and the rice is missing from my meal. I am offered a discount on accompanying my next visit or making a complaint to Skip. My opinion is that the error comes from the restaurant not the delivery person. It seems to me that having your exact order is just normal but hey. Disappointed!

I have to admit that my experience started on a bad note. We ( my 2 y.o and my 6y.o)arrived at 6h35, took 25mins before the waitress came to see us. When she came, she took every order ( food and drinks). Drinks came pretty fast. Took another 35mins to receive our appetizers! So basicaly 1h for our appetizers! Mind you my kids are hungry. But, once, I guess, the manager was made aware ( not by us) she came a apologized, gave my girls free orange juice and sent us extra appetizers. Main dish came quite fast aswell. Food is DELICIOUS, I have to give them that. For dessert, we each had wtv came with the Table dhote AND they sent us home with EXTRA CHOCOLATE cake. I know have two tired but HAPPY little girl. We left the restaurant a little after 8h30pm. I am still giving 5* because they did apologize, certain circumstances were out of their control and I feel like as a customer we also have to understand that. Thank you Kid-friendliness: Went with 2 kids ( 2 and 6) its was okay. Waitress was super friendly with my girls.

Our family had an amazing dinner experience at Rouge last night. The food was excellent and everything was perfect. Although the prices are more than they used to be pre-pandemic like everywhere else, Rouge is a top-notch restaurant and well worth going to for the following reasons: - delicious, high quality Chinese and Asian meals - good-sized portions, Rouge doesnt skimp on this, and so at least the good portion sizes justify the meal prices, and I hope that Rouge does not change in this regard - meals served hot, something many other restaurants unfortunately fail to do, so congrats to Rouge on this - exceptional service, not only from our waitress Amanda who was outstanding, but other staff constantly refilled our water and asked if we needed anything - nice ambiance and decor Rouge to me is one of those rare restaurants that checks off all the boxes and which is why we will not hesitate to go back to. I would rate Rouge 6-stars if I could, but 5-stars is the maximum with Google.

Great place, first experience, everything was excellent

A very good restaurant with nice ambiance and friendly staff. All the food we had was made with high quality ingredients. For example, the WonTon soup was super tasty just on its own (without the need to add soya) ... the home made broth makes a huge difference. The peppered beef was also very flavourful. Will definitely come again.

The food was not fresh. The broccoli with a lot of yellow. The small corn in the cane was almost white and had a pungent taste. The shrimp were not seasoned and tasted like water. . I showed the broccoli to the waitress and she replied: Im sorry. Nothing more :( . Im really disappointed and I wont go back there again.

We were a group of 10 people and all of us got sick after the restaurant. We all felt bloated and unfortunately it was over priced for the quality of food.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Rouge Restaurant for a Sunday lunch on July 2nd at 1:00 p.m. Unfortunately, our experience was less than pleasant due to the terrible service we received. Upon our arrival, the usher informed us that there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, which meant there would be some delay before we were served. We accepted this and waited patiently hoping for a satisfying dining experience. However, after waiting 30 minutes, the waitress still had not come to take our order or even say a single word to us. We noticed that there were only 11 tables occupied in the entire restaurant, which made the situation even more frustrating. We didnt understand why the service was so slow and inefficient despite the low number of customers. Finally, given the lack of attention from the staff and the lack of prospects of being served, we decided to leave without having had the opportunity to taste their dishes. This experience was disappointing and seriously damaged our opinion of the Rouge restaurant. As customers, we expect service to live up to our expectations, especially when we choose to spend our money at an establishment. Unfortunately, this was not the case at the Rouge restaurant at all. We were hoping to enjoy a nice meal, but were met with non-existent service. Overall, I cannot recommend Rouge Restaurant due to their poor service. I sincerely hope that they will take steps to improve their efficiency and provide a more satisfying customer experience in the future.

Very good Asian food. The table dhôte is basically 2 appetizers, main dish and desert. It will definitely fill you up nicely. The drinks are great! Overall experience is plaisant, will definitely go back. Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free menu, but unfortunately for anything fried, the oil used is the same for all dishes, which makes it potentially problematic for celiac people.

My wife and I decided to dine here as it seemed decent from the outside however it is truly overrated. Service was mediocre, food was not much better. We ordered from the Table d hote Pepper beef for $43. When the food arrived it was not as appealing, you could literally count the small slices of beef and was served with many green pepper especially onions. Taste was bland and not worth the experience or price. The pepper beef was a vegetable stir fry with beef garnish. Would not recommend.

Do not come here if you are expecting great Asian food. There are so many better options, go to Siam of you want Thai. All of the food was just bland, small amounts of meat and what tastes like sauces form boxes / jars. The portions are big for the price, so if thats all youre after then youll have a good time. Service was also great Were in a food city, for the same price you can actually enjoy an incredible dinner.

Ive been here many times and it was good but the last 2 times i dont know why but the food was bad and the last time I was in a party of 6 and 4 of us got food poison. It is a shame.

I have had very good service the 3 times I have been to this restaurant. The wonton soup is good, the general tao too but the chicken curry lacks taste and Asian touch. There are more Quebec-style vegetables than Asian-style vegetables.

Great service from our (initially) Maggie, the hostess, who ultimately became our waitress, and who was able to accommodate our requests despite the imminent closure of the kitchen. Super friendly and delicious meal. We had Pad Thai with chicken & Thai fried rice YUM!

The super friendly waiter suggests the dishes and advises you, the food was delicious! The portions are very large, the soup, the main course, the dessert, all very delicious. I would definitely return to the place! Worth every penny!

Dumplings were good but to have a watery pepper steak with no flavour and pay about 70$ for those meals ridiculous. Requested the manager to call me back, still no call after 3 weeks. Go to an asian restaurant for food instead. Cheaper and better quality. Never going and I hope this saves people the trouble as I do critic and write food reviews for a couple places. I even told the restaurant this before I ordered.

Great discovery, especially since we were accommodated quite last minute... My General Tao chicken was absolutely delicious and the portion was generous. The sauce for my partners peanut chicken was rather watery and the plate contained a lot of vegetables for the amount of meat, but the taste was nevertheless very good. The only downside: we witnessed a fight between two kitchen workers, which spilled over into the dining room, which temporarily clouded our experience. But we will come back anyway!

Probably the least expensive table service restaurant you can find in dix30. The food is ok and the price is inexpensive. The hot and sour soup is veryyy good. I have been here a couple of times, pas Thai was not good but other meals were not so bad. They have a terrace during summer so that s nice ! General tao was not good. Pad thai was also very bland.

Cold and unfriendly service, when you order online via their application it already charges money while we collect the pick-up ourselves + it Prepare the order immediately (even if you indicate that you want to collect it after 1 hour or 1:30) = I found it +++ times cold. Very cheap dose and frustrated owner when you dont take the drinks or you dont leave a tip (knowing that there are fees for his app + we take the cold food for pick-up) I dont recommend it

I didnt like the fact I had to show my vaccine passport. I went there for my birthday. We ordered several entrées and main dishes that we shared. Everything was in smaller portions than the last time I went. The fish wasnt great. The calamari was way too oily. The spring rolls were smaller. But the main dishes were good, not amazing, but good. There was one person that would fill our glasses of water. He was annoying. He filled my friends water cup and dropped water on her. He used to come and try to take away empty plates only to put his hand on the food and realise theres still some food in it.

Very poor service. The staff were all on their cell phones. The bossboys spilled the water on the table, they served us the main meal at the same time as the starter and the waiter threw away the rest even though we asked him for a doggy bag. The food was good though, but at this price you expect good service.

Good food but very high prices

Prices have increased, portions have gone down, specially the meat portions are too small compared to how many veggies there is. It used to be a good deal for the price but now its overpriced.

Beautiful place, great welcoming staff, perfect portions, very reasonable price considering the location. Ultra comfortable chairs, great when you spend 2 hours sitting there. Beautiful windows with views of the outside and terrace in season. My only downside is the cleanliness. Very dirty water glasses like utensils and chopsticks. Chairs not cleaned before our arrival. And I wont talk about the bathroom.

Great space, wonderful service...but the food was disappointing. Hunan dumplings with peanut sauce were tasty, but very chewy. Jumbo shrimp with crispy chicken in a cream sauce on the bland side. Red curry & coconut duck with vegetables was also on the bland side - disappointment overall as we were expecting heightened and refined Asian flavours.

I was not impressed with the General Tao chicken, they had big chunks of chicken that were cooked before they were cut, battered and fried leaving them dry and chewy drowning in way too much sauce. The spring rolls were sub par and half empty. I pass on this place.
