traditional Chinese spasy food
Best spicy food I've ever had south shore, Great place to share food with friends.
Hidden gem in Brossard. If you love spicy and authentic szechuan/chongqing cuisine. This is the place to go.
Authentic sichuan cuisine. The owner is very friendly. They are the best in Montreal.
Real Chinese spicy food, taste very hot! For adult is fine, not good for the kid. I like to come again alone.
My dad was actually born in Chong Qing so hearing the staff speak in that familiar dialect of my grandparents felt very comforting and nostalgic. Being born here in Montreal though, the level of spiciness that I can personally handle is quite pathetic. The locals of Chong Qing would consider this restaurant truly authentic because the level of spicy and numbness passes their standards. If you think you can handle spicy, this place will be the true test. Next time I come, I will bring reinforcement (friends who can eat spicier than me). I will also ask for less spicy, which is an option I should have taken when they offered. Service is not their strength; it took a while to get everything to the table. Drinks were not immediately served either, which explains why my mouth was on fire for the longest time. You've been warned! Do not come if you don't enjoy even the mildest of spicy levels. There are some non-spicy options, but even though I found it overall too spicy for me, I crave the taste and want to come back again.
If you like spicy authentic Chinese food.... well good news for you.... this is the place. It's so authentic Chong Qing food that even a Chinese myself I was not accustomed to the food. it was spicy. I personally don't eat too spicy so we ordered food that wasn't spicy. Very delicious and well marinated. Service was very good but be patient. it's not any traditional food and needs explanation where I even had a hard time understanding. but trust your mouth and you can't go wrong. if you like spicy and tired of the same old, I recommend coming here for a new discovery. come in a group of 4 is optimal because they have this huge spicy fish dish where I see everyone ordering. we were 2 so we knew we couldn't finish it. go try it. I loved it and will be back
I love spicy when is the right spicy. They are kindly enough to put my food less spicy. BE ADVICE if you can’t handle spicy this is not the right place for you BUT if you love spicy then please free your self . A+
The best Chongqing/Szechuan cuisine I’ve had in Great Montreal Area. The taste is exactly like the food I had in Chongqing, China. I would highly recommend this restaurant to the people who’s really into the spicy Chinese food. Even during the busy hours, the serving is still fast. The owner is really nice!
Go momo
Very tasty Food!!! Super good for Spy likes!
As an out-and-out Chongqing person, this price is indeed outrageous. I can obviously steal money, but I will make one for you.
If you want to try a real Sichuanese restaurant, this is THE place. The house specialty is spicy BBQ fish which is actually a delicious hotpot topped with vegetables and meats. Come with an empty stomach, the dishes are spicy and delicious!!
In general, it is very difficult to find the food, and I am not used to the side dishes. The real spicy ingredients are not included, such as crispy pork, tofu knot... It is very spicy, and there is no small portion. It is a pity that 2 people cant eat this amount. Personally, I would just go with them to eat, but I wouldnt go there myself. Total reference. The layout of the store is quite good.
Google map showed it was open, but it was closed after I went there. It was a waste of an hours journey back and forth! !
Dietary restrictions: spicy food Food
Very low value for money. For more than 160, I was given a deep-fried Longli grilled fish, a bowl of hoof flowers without salt, a few cold dishes, and two bowls of jelly. It cost nearly 100 yuan, and they didn t give a single live fish, nor did they grill it. Use thawed Longli fish, pre-fried to coax people. The taste is average. Do not add salt to hoof flowers. I asked and was told that the standard for hoof flowers does not include salt. But you can add money to buy dipping sauce. In the end, after spending so much money, the table and floor when entering were covered in oil, and the restaurant felt like it hadnt been cleaned since it opened. They didnt even give up real tableware and gave us paper bowls and plates. The cold dishes are not bad. It s a place like this where I can t live outside Quebec even if I don t go back to my country.
Very authentic and delicious ChongQing food. Super nice owners and the chili sauce that they sell is amazing!
The best spicy noodles in the area! The only downside is that its rarely open.
Sad to say this restaurant has pretty bad service and kinda misleading customers. I called in to order something to go; not only the owner provides me with the incorrect price (seems like they charge $2 more for takeout); and then give me a giant togo bag and box which is unnecessary and charged me $1.5. Feels like I m pushed to pay extra for a lot of things but the owner could have been more transparent. Will never come back.
Best sichuan food cross Canada, authentic ingredients and taste
Authentic Chongqing taste.
All time favorite restaurant! Dry crispy spicy bullfrog Stir-Fried Spicy Sichuan Bullfrogs It has bullfrogs, lotus, potatoes, onions, carrots, shredded ginger, scallions, and greens pepper. ITS DELICIOUS!!!!!!
Only spicy The real Chong Qing food is not only spicy Food
So delicious The best grilled fish stir-fry in Montreal Zundu is very authentic
Is this place still open? I went twice and it s always closed but Google indicates otherwise. I went on a Friday at 6PM..
Have been there at least 3-4 times, always closed, have no idea is this place still running...
Can you give me a confirmation on whether it is open or not? When will it come? ? ? Is it so difficult to update online? And no one answered the phone.
If you are not Asian this is not the place for you terrible service
Ive only been there once and it tastes very authentic and extremely spicy. Later, I always wanted to go there again, but I always couldnt find the door. I guess the owner opened this store only after he became financially free. The main theme is Be strong without desire
Our bacon fried rice is super delicious and the portion is huge
best fish nice atmosphere
One for my new favorite Chinese restaurants in Montréal. Their tofu, porc and fish was delicious and their red pepper spices are all home-made and super fresh/super authentic tastes. I will definitely be coming back with a small crowd!
Its changing hands, its not like before. I love everything. I dont just want to buy a stock, I want stock in my brown paper bag. At least I was able to breathe in the bag after feeling sick
Very good and authentic regional food! Beware if your spicy tolerance is not quite high (or you can order their soy milk to tone it down or drink the pain away haha!). Overall a great restaurant, and although a little bit expensive, I would recommend this place if you re looking for authentic Chinese food.
Super authentic Chongqing Style food, been to Chongqing I am very shocked to taste such authentic food here in brossard
After eating his grilled fish, I never want to eat other grilled fish again! It would be perfect if you could add green bamboo shoots as a side dish~ The lotus root slices inside are super delicious! The strange-flavored grilled fish has the same flavor as the strange-flavored grilled fish from the domestic riverside restaurants. If you don t like spicy food, just order the weird-flavored fish, and note that it is slightly spicy~
Tasty but pricey
Above all, we understand that it is a restaurant that serves authentic cuisine from the city of ChongQing (in Sichuan province in China). In other words, it stings If you like spicy food, my order may be valid for you. Tonight is my second time eating at ChongQing. Different than the first time I ate with a friend to share a bowl of all-dressed fish (yummm), this time I was there alone. I ordered a stir-fry, a cold plate (marinated vegetables) and half a simmered pork paste to accompany a bowl of rice (portion for one person). The stir-fry and the cold plate are delicious!! Stir-fry is a dried vegetable sautéed with smoked and salted meat (pork) and chili peppers. I dont know this type of vegetable, it was explained to me that it is a type of cabbage from the SiChuan province in China. And the texture is crunchy. The level of spiciness is very well balanced for me but it can be very spicy for someone who is not used to eating spicy foods. I returned home happily with the leftovers of my meals which were enough to make me at least one more full meal tomorrow for lunch. Their portion is good! I 100% recommend this restaurant (please go with at least one Chinese who speaks Mandarin and eats spicy food). Note that the restaurant often changes their menu depending on what is available in the kitchen. Ps: call to reserve a table if there are many of you. And empathy for this family restaurant who doesnt speak much French (there is at least one lady who speaks French well).
Teasty spicy food
Authentic Sichuan cuisine! Authentic Sichuan cuisine! Authentic Sichuan cuisine!
Its so delicious that every time I pass by it on my self-driving trip, I have to drive past it even if Im not on the right road. The cold noodles are really good. I asked the boss to make them spicy. Its really spicy. Its like eating the most authentic way of eating on the roadside in China. cold noodles. The bosses are super nice. One time we drove there very late and they were waiting for us to finish our meal even after get off work was almost over:) I really like it! ! !
The environment is average (the restaurant is too small), the taste is okay, and the price is a bit expensive. After the price increase, a piece of fish is 60$+tax, and a plate of sausage is 40$+tax.
Okay, quite spicy
Canadian ceiling! Authentic and delicious, I am willing to drive all the way from Toronto just to eat it
The first time I ate there was when it just opened. At that time, I still remember wanting to order takeout. The boss was very enthusiastic and allowed us to take the pot away with us. I didn t want to cause any trouble to them and I was so enthusiastic, so I ate in the store. It tastes really good. After the epidemic, I kept wanting to eat, but the boss and others took a break After many years (not many years!), I went back to eat here and the service was still the same! I recommend their grilled fish, bent bean noodles and jelly (it seems that calling this a dessert is too delicious). After eating it, take a bite and your heart will be soaring and your heart will be cool~~ The boss is a real businessman, as long as you are polite. Everyone needs more understanding and respect. The dining experience is mutual
Only place in Quebec where you can have authentic Dou Hua Fan!
The closest dish to Chongqing I have ever eaten in MTL! The spicy and fresh flavors are very restored. I love the fat sausage and spicy hotpot. The portions are huge.
When does it open? Miss hot pot fish!
Tofu brain should not be tofu dregs.
I suggest you call before coming. The chef hasnt come back yet, so its a waste of time.
I hope it closes down soon. Orders made in advance are not served at all. I waited in line for an hour to pick up the food. When I got there, they told me that they had forgotten my order and had to make it fresh. After another hour of waiting, they only had one bowl per bowl. Do you believe that you can cook crispy pork for an hour? ? If its busy, please hire more people, otherwise you wont take the reservation. If you make a reservation and forget about it, youll stop doing business! Ive never been so angry. Its been 2 hours now and I havent eaten. Im furious! ! ! ! After almost 3 hours, I finally had my meal, so I came back to revise my review. Oh, its not because I want to change the star, but because the crispy meat is soft and not crispy at all~ Of course, because you have to wait for payment when you get the meal, and you have to wait for 30 minutes. It took 3 hours to drive home and eat. It was an experience I had never experienced before in my life!
Noodles are very hard, taste like a change of chef, and l wait a long time, I may go again (perhaps just the staff are tired)
Great place for Sichuan food
Amazing food. Staffs are really nice
Local Chongqing taste
We arrived at 12:30, but they weren t open on Thursdays either They weren t open from Monday to Wednesday either. Its closed on Thursday and theres no sign at the door, so I cant get through on the phone. What a strange store...
Staffs are quite friendly. But foods are so so
Service in French non-existent. For those who do not have a column and who agree to be served in English in Quebec, service in English also does not exist. Besides that, the food is amazing. It really tastes like China and is spicy as can be. The restaurants formula is Chinese too, so no individual dishes, buy several dishes and share everything. 5 stars, but 4 stars due to language issues.
Spicy, spicy, spicy, refreshing, refreshing, refreshing
It tastes too bad. I won t patronize it again next time. It s too expensive and the portions are too small.
Be warned: The spiciness is REAL. Although everything tasted good, my friend and I couldnt finish what we ordered. I left a bit hungry. Not recommended for people with medium spicy tolerance or below. You may try if you are enthusiastic about spicy food. The taste was okay, but I couldnt finish the food I ordered because it was too spicy. It is not recommended for ordinary people to go, but those who like spicy food can try it.
Delicious food. A very good restaurant to try spicy food
no service in French, sad. food generally good
I love the food there :)
The lady boss is super enthusiastic! Okay, okay~ I will come here to eat often in the future! Highly recommended!
Ordered pickles bean curd fish, cucumber salad and Chongqing Xiaomian. Very tasty!!!
Excellent, the Singapore noodles are exquisite
Spicy heaven!!! I like
It was amazing! We had this pickled fish soup dish it was excellent and some spicy pork sauce noodles. If you can handle spicy food you will love this place!
Attention! Friday December 11, 2020, well closed
Spicy grilled fish tastes really good! But if you can t eat spicy food, I suggest you don t order the spicy flavor. Ice powder is my favorite! The delicious dishes are not on the menu, so you have to order a la carte from the boss.
Real Szechuan food, keep in mind that it is very spicy.
You can t miss it if you love spicyyyyyyy
Very very delicious! Recommend the taro chicken!
The hot and sour noodles must be spicy enough! I have a cough and runny nose after eating hahaha
Best authentic Chongqing food in Montreal area.
Amazing place for those who can handle extremely spicy food.
Its really delicious. I highly recommend it. You can always meet acquaintances in the store and there are many repeat customers.
People from Chongqing said they were very qualified. Every time I speak Chongqing dialect to the proprietress, I feel very friendly and like I have returned to China. During the one or two hours in the small restaurant, the atmosphere, taste and feeling can temporarily make me forget that I am in Mengcun. Go every Monday, great reviews.
very delicious! ! !
Fish and noddles are dilicious
Its closed when I got there 15:58 Wednsday
We come to this place because it is delicious, but I went here twice !! it is always closed! It is week day and 11.30am! The google map information showd open, and there is no notice on the door side! We called but no one answered! Very irresponsible! People like the food but it is not the reason for the owner to fool around the consumers like that! Maybe I will go next time but I wont love this place ever!
The best and the most authentic Sichuan restaurant ever!!!!! They have a hidden menu, don t forget to ask for the hidden menu!!!!!
Best Sichuan restaurant in Montreal! The best Sichuan food I have ever eaten in Montreal!
It was excellent!!
The taste is really numb and spicy! I don t like spicy food myself, but his food is really addictive! When you can t hold on any longer, take a sip of ice powder, it s so satisfying! ! !
Good taste
Best Sichuan/Chongqing food in the Montréal area. Québécois, forget your general tao one second and follow the Chinese customers example!
highly recommend best Sichuan style restaurant ever
The boss is very nice and the food is delicious! great
Since it was our first time there, a nice waitress introduced us to whats good, as well as how spicy they are. Everything we ordered was very good. We will return soon.
must try!
It s so delicious~ It happened to be the Dragon Boat Festival when we went that day, and the lady boss also gave rice dumplings to every customer. I was super lucky to eat it that day~
Even 1 star is too much. Management is too chaotic. Will not go again.
Very authentic sichuan restaurant.
Grilled fish and steaks are very good~~
Best sichuan restaurant around Montreal at the moment. Warning: extreme spice
Most authentic sichuanese place in MTL!
Very good if you like super spicy food.
Delicious
It s so delicious, but it s too far away from my home, so I can only eat there on weekends.
Authentic Chongqing flavor, so spicy!
Very delicious food. You should visit if you like spicy food.
Authentic Chongquing cuisine!
Seriously the best food in Canada
I think about it day and night every day. Ah, I really want to eat fat sausage noodles.
To be honest, two people ate for 100 dollars, but they didn t eat anything. It was very unpalatable. I only took two bites of the braised vegetable and then stopped eating it. It doesn t matter if it s expensive. It s okay to taste delicious, but it s really unpalatable. , the pickled fish is getting worse and worse, I will never go there again.
Spicy enough
Too spicy and no other choice.
Food was amazing. Its a small place but dont let it fool you the staff are very friendly and you have many varieties to choose from. And its the first restaurant that I ever been to that you have the pass through the kitchen to go to the toilet. So that goes to show you that theyre not afraid of people passing through the kitchen and its very clean so you know that your food is going to be delicious
If I could give zero stars I would.
never received my order receptionist who understands neither French nor English not strong I waited until my dinner time without eating anything
Basic American Chinese food. Take out can be a bit slow so it is best to phone in order and then go pick it up in order to save time! Pleasant staff at front counter. As of late 20217 NEW OWNERSHIP - wonderful authentic Chinese dishes some heavy on spices. This is real deal but make sure to see real Chinese menu as there are two one with basic stuff and the other with recipes from old country. A few tables to sit and eat if desired but generally filled with Chinese customers
Ok... i feel at the exact middle of the hate and love relationship.... The food is not disgusting... but some should be reviewed... - the pineapple chicken... each piece is bigger than a golf ball and the sauce is not on it... So when you eat it... well it did not had time to kinda marinate... - egg rolls... perfect for me. Crispy... good taste... but was written spring rolls on the menus.... - i had 2 sauces... pineapple and cherry... huh sorry but plum sauce with egg rolls please.... - veggies... i loved them and taste very good... - rice... ok there guys you lost me. You can chose between steamed rice or with soya sauce. Took with soya sauce... and tastes nothing. Honestly... it was a no flavor rice... - i liked the idea of aluminum containers with clear cover... but watch out... those covers breaks easily... actually 2 on 6 were broken... - portions of rice are kinda small . - some items were a bit too fried... - lots of the food was cold... and considering that i live less than 600 meters from the place and that it was a take out... i wont try the delivery... The staff is A1. I would hire any of them tomorrow! The place was crowded with people eating there... you have to reserve absolutely. Only chinese peeps tonight... eating schezchuan food. And yes it looked delicious from what i saw. The smell inside... one word... spicy So will i go back? I dont know... unsure...
Phew. Dont speak French. 2 calls 2 hours to have soup delivered. SAD!!
Best Chongqing food you can get in Greater Montreal area !
good Chinese restaurant but not that clean
Authentic Sichuan food!
Order was placed at the counter with an employee, 2 beef dishes for take-out, noted first by dish name (orange beef and beef & brocoli) and then by the dish number listed on the menu (#80 & #85). Easy-peasy, right? We were told it would take un bon 20 minutes. OK sure, no biggie, well hang tight. We waited 40 minutes. Got home to discover neither of the dishes in the bag were what was ordered, in fact one of them was chicken! Their menu now resides in the recycling bin.
Terrible Service! I really wanted to like this place and Ive been to the restaurant several times over the past few months and have consistently received bad service. No matter how many times Ive called ahead for a pick up, they only start making the food AFTER I go there, Ive spent upwards of 30 mins waiting for my food when it should be a quick going in, paying and getting out. The people are unpleasant and rude on the phone and in person. They over charged us twice for food and once we only realized it after we went back home, since then we watch the bill like a hawk every time we pay and caught it the second time. I dont want to believe they do it on purpose hoping nobody will notice but coupled with the bad service and the antagonism, I wouldnt be surprised. Ive given this place ample opportunities to redeem itself because the food is pretty good but Im done and Im not going back. Good service and not screwing your customers over should be as important as good food.
Except that the place is a bit small, the taste is pretty good.
Very delicious!
If you are looking for something spicy? Definitely come here.
Forget your general tao chicken, this is the restaurant for those who really want to try spicy Chinese food (sichuan-chongqing flavour). I would rate this the best South western Chinese food restaurant and one of the best Chinese restaurant in Montreal area.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Montreal. Even better if you love spicy food!
Authentic Sichuan cuisine, spicy and delicious, recommended
Very delicious! The taste is very authentic ~ the lady boss is super enthusiastic
Friendly staffs, if you like spicy food then this is it!
Super delicious, very Chongqing
Very tasty. Service level is low simply due to its popularity (a lot of customers on Saturday evening)
Newly renovated place, the look is better that before. Food is not so good as before.
Great place for authentic spicy Asian food
Super fast and food taste super good thats a super place for super lunch or diner ;-) :-)
tasty! Real-name evaluation! It s really delicious! Literally! C est très bien!
Delicious. Very spicy. Love it.
Fatty catfish tastes good, but the fish meat is a bit missing
I have to say, it s very authentic! Very Sichuan! If you can eat spicy food, you must try it
So delicious
Love this place, whenever I want to have some real Chinese food or spicy food, I will go there.
Very delicious and spicy
Really really good Sichuan style restaurant. Spiciness can be adjusted according to your tolerance.
Very good!!
I tried the beef noodle soup and it was very good, the beef was very tender.
fabulous very good inexpensive
Very bad since we changed the menu the diluted sauce, rice made with frozen vegetables. Really! I couldnt order there. I dont recommend it to anyone.
There was a change of ownership... Endless waiting, diluted sauce and much worse dish.
I usually order from this place! I noticed that they recently changed ownership! They have a menu that is what we usually see in Chinese restaurants that are made for westerners! They also have a Chinese menu that have authentic spicy food from part of China other then Szechuan!
Everyone should eat there !! Really good authentic chinese food ! The beef noodle is my favorite plate !!
Wonton Soup was tasteless, Soggy sesame beef no crunch at all, Veggies were Okay, service was cold unwelcoming. will not go again.
Authentic business is very good. Lots of packages. Not many seats. Reservation is available. I am a stranger in Jiefangbei, Chongqing.
