L'Aurochs Steakhouse in Brossard

Had an rsvp in the lounge area, nice decor, albeit a bit louder than I expected. Had a good number of people there. Ambiance was nice. The service was slow compared to what we were used to (most restos downtown). I ordered some old fashioneds, first one was very sweet and the 2nd i ordered half sweetness, not very impressed by their drinks, consistency was off. Requested bourbon neat but at 14$ an ounce...way too expensive for a couple ounces to sip. The beer was the best bet imo. We ordered apps; carpaccio, deli platter, lobster cake, and sliders. The 2 sliders were 13$ and were tasty but the meat is clearly frozen prepackaged. Everyone liked the steaks, mine seemed more medium than med rare but was close enough to not send back. Food was decent enough, the prices a bit too high for the quality. If the service was faster id consider returning with a group of friends. We spent close to 900$ as a group of 5 on food and drinks.

High-end experience.

Terrible service, or no service at all. After sitting down, we waited 20 minutes, no menu, no water, and no waiter came to greet us. We felt that we were not welcome in this restaurant, and when we left, we saw the waiter and waitress chatting. Very disappointed

I had heard good reviews about this restaurant, but my experience was far from up to par. The setting was pleasant, but the quality of the dishes really left something to be desired. We ordered a boeu tartar which lacked flavor, as if it had been prepared in a hurry. And the surprise was that the waiter refused to change it under the pretext that we had to pay twice for it!! Additionally, the service was slow and not attentive. I expected better given the reputation of the place, but I probably wont come back. Too bad, because the potential is there. I give the star for the effort of the servers! Avoid!

Gave only a 3 star brought my grandson here only to be told he was to loud , others were laughing talking over him , he was playing with his cars making vroom vroom but yet was to annoying to others there , I live in Laval best restos and never had this issue , guess on this side of the bridge they are huge snobs here

High-level steak house restaurant, refined cuisine and atmosphere, incredible service, Guylem, our server is warm and attentive. The menu is varied. We go there often and we are never disappointed. The steaks arrive well cooked, the sides are extraordinary, the beef and salmon tartares are tasty. It is possible for small appetites to share dishes. An evening as a couple, with family or friends, is a must-try. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access, whether from underground parking or outdoor parking, there is an elevator that takes us to the 2nd floor. We have been there for several years with a wheelchair user and it was always a good experience.

Excellent food, very good service and courteous staff despite the fact that we were there with young children. A little expensive though, even considering the general rise in restaurant prices. I still recommend it. I tried the bison carpaccio and the steak fries and everything was really excellent.

I expected more given the price paid Moreover, I felt that we were looked at in a funny way because we were with our 1 year old son We tried the chefs table and it was not not excellent, my slice of roast was difficult to chew and for my partner, he had a tiny portion of pasta! The waitress had just come to bring us the drinks, otherwise she never came back to serve us water. The other tables had excellent service, but not ours, I almost felt discriminated against because we had our little one! It s a shame that the quality of food and service has declined In short, a disappointing experience! The owner called me to get my version of the facts, but no further developments! Unfortunately we got a place in the first floor. Not recommended: dark, sticky tables don t get me wrong, at the second floor you can get the full ambience of the amazing place and its full value for money. At the first floor you only have the quality food however forget about a good ambience, service and rather get sticky tables and a desire to eat fast and leave the place a soon as you can. For the experience: pretty bad for the price. If you don t get a reservation in the 2nd floor, skip visiting, do not ruin your date or out with family.

Great thanks! Beautiful restaurant! Good food! My favorite entree is the beef tataki. I recommend it and the beef carpaccio was also excellent. The beef tartar was good but it lacked the crunchiness they put in the beef tataki plate. I dont know why on the site it said it was expensive since thats the normal price to pay at a restaurant. I went with my daughters and their mac and cheese plates were delicious. Im happy to have been there, Ill definitely go back. Many thanks to everyone for the great work of this restaurant

We asked for a blue steak, and it came rare. The chef refused to do anything about it (the waiter was very kind and helpful), claiming that we should have asked for another cut if we wanted it blue, as it would come out just as rare had he refired another steak. The food and service was still very good, but it would have been nice to be given a heads-up beforehand.

Hello, I had a lovely surprise birthday party with my best friends on May 16th. We had a good time with old friends. I took the table dhôte. The steak was great. Unfortunately my dessert and that of another friend who had taken the table dhôte were not served to us. We realized the next day. We were still charged for cutting the birthday cake that we brought. Overall I recommend despite this small lack.

I loved my experience, the food and service was excellent. Courteous and smiling staff. Very nice atmosphere for a romantic dinner. I will return and recommend.

Definitely the best place on the South Shore for meat lovers. The wine list is varied and suitable for all budgets. Underground parking very convenient on bad weather days, and the service is excellent!

We experienced the chefs table special, a superb experience with incredible imported wine. Very pleasant personalized service. Honestly, the best piece of meat I have eaten in recent years!! Small atmosphere a little too cozy for my taste but good little detail.

I had a yummy Bison tartare and I loved their house salad. Their monte carlo potatoes were amazing! I wished they would of explained a bit more on the sides and recommended items in the menu since me and my partner have never gone there before, especially on the steaks.

The food is always exquisite, a varied wine list, a scotch cart & tequila selection to be jealous of, and service second to none! One of the finest steakhouses on the south shore.

There were 5 of us, we ate filet mignon, hamburger and ribs, everything was excellent. I also appreciated the space between the tables, very comfortable chairs. Finally, excellent service from Joanie. We will return there for sure.

Beautiful decor. Cozy atmosphere. The young team welcomed me warmly and courteously. I sat at the bar which itself is impressive... Champagne, lobster salad and lobster cake, smoked burger with melted brie, very good Californian red wine... everything was delicious!

Their attitude changed, noticeably, when staff realized we didnt speak French. That put a real damper on the experience. Felt like a second class citizen. We wont go back. Food was o.k.

It s a restaurant with a beautiful setting and a lovely romantic subdued atmosphere. The food and cocktails were delicious and the service was friendly.

Very good place, we always have the same server, its the best that can exist! After 3 years of absence, our family was happy to return to the place, despite the departure of our mother who liked to go there from time to time. Steaks and fish are very good choices. We were served by Serge and WOW is the first word that comes to mind. He was truly on the lookout, always there exactly the minute we needed something. Small situation with a burger, a little too much sauce so it leaked onto the plate, Serge, with his valiant eye and his legendary speed, hastened to bring it back to the kitchen, change the plate and the burger was refurbished, impeccable recovery. In short, I would go every day.

I really expected better. And I don t know why but they added around 40 dollars to my bill!

Despite our reservation, we waited 15 minutes before being seated. The lobster burger and beef carpaccio were very good. The crab cake was very good. On the other hand, the beef tartare, although spicy, was a little bland. The service was good. Kid-friendliness: There isnt really a childrens menu, nor anything to keep them waiting (placemats for drawing, pencils, etc.)

I am a regular customer of the place, the food is excellent, the wine list is varied, the service is also good in general. However, during my last two visits, I ate on the terrace and the service was frankly not up to par compared to the strange dining room I still recommend the restaurant but make sure to eat inside.

The place is beautiful and very well decorated. The staff seems good and shows a level of professionalism that I like when I go out to this kind of place. Our server, however, was a little worse. He seemed to be annoying and did what seemed to be the minimum in order to serve us. (Puts the menus on the table does not introduce himself and leaves and when he brought something to the table he left immediately without saying anything which created a little discomfort) otherwise nothing serious a small detail that we notice when we pays $300 for dinner (and tips $60 (20%)). The food was excellent, nothing to say, I really liked how the Caesar salad was presented and the flank steak, the tartare and the filet mignon were all excellent. Finally, a person dressed in a red suit who appears to be probably the manager or perhaps the owner shows exemplary professionalism and gives the place a very elegant touch. You feel taken in hand, listened to and that adds a pleasant side to the experience, especially when you bring your parents to eat there.

Go here for the steak, which goes without saying for a high end steak house. However, last time I went I had to avoid steak so I got seafood. The fresh oysters were tasty but the smallest Ive ever been served. Considering the price, I wont be ordering this again. I also got the halibut. It was a nice cut over overcooked. Again considering the price... Will be avoiding. The steak tho is quite good. Its one of the rare restaurants that still serve only dry aged (35 days min).

We had the New York steak and it was honestly not good. The steak was a little overcooked but I think the piece of meat was just poor quality. The service was very good until it was time to pay the bill. We sat and talked afterwards and no one came back to see us, even if only to give us more water. Nice restaurant on the other hand, very nice terrace.

Previous review 2022 was a perfect meal but yesterday: The cowboy steak was lukewarm without salt or taste due to the temperature the fat was not tender the fries were cold... Lobster tail was good not served with butter... fried squid We only got our water refilled at the end of our nearly $300 meal, luckily we had a bottle of wine... extremely disappointed!

Disservice! Unable to manage a group! Ask an employee about the prices on the card to make an informed choice and when I get to the cash register, I am charged double. Managers response: he is a new employee and we cannot reimburse you and he does not have access to reimbursements (supposedly). We called back the next day for a follow-up, no one to follow up, they preferred to lie to avoid dealing with the incident on site in the hope that we would forget the situation. We therefore absorbed the employees error instead of him absorbing their error. That says a lot about their customer service! I do not recommend and would not return.

We went near the end of the day and the staff was so kind and willing to accommodate us despite being near the end of service. We went there because our original plan had fallen through and it was our anniversary so we wanted to go to a nice place. Staff was always checking on us to see if we were doing alright. The chairs are nice and wide so anyone of any size will fit fine. The restaurant is on the second floor. Im not sure if they have an elevator for those who need it so you may need to call ahead of time to make sure. They have a large selection of various types of alcohols if you are wanting that. I ordered a fillet mignon that was mouthwatering good. It was like cutting butter. I wish there was more mushroom pieces in the sauce but other than that it was ok. Their fries are similar tasting to the ones from la belle province but executed in a nicer way. They are not too heavily greasy and have a light flavorful salt. I wouldnt advise the monte-carlo potato as it had a bit of spiciness I couldnt point to what it came from. The vegetables were pretty common place grilled. We werent able to try the breads but that was alright since we were there an hour before closing. I will definitely want to go again. Although I didnt try the ribs this time, it smelled really good. Definitely worth go to again at a better time :) Parking: There is a parking area behind the building that had a few spots left near the end of the day. I think a lot of the spots were taken for people going to Jacks.

Meat was nice but overdone. Also, herb butter was cold on top of warm steak and took a while for it to come out. Fries were nice. You get slightly more with the Keg for similar value, but this place is much better. The rib platter for two actually looks good for lunch. I didnt care for their wine selection. Inside looks modern and clean with some pretty servers. Thats all superficial. A little overrated by some, in my opinion. Solid 3.5 at least, but it could be better.

Good meat, fair price

This is not my first time at l Aurochs I always enjoy being there, however, this time i was very disappointed with the quantity of food. We were a couple (2 people) - we were offered 2 small pieces of bread at the beginning; and I mean it, 2 small pieces ! - we ordered ceasar salad, and we received a small piece of lettuce cutin half with some sauce and cheese.. - finally the rib eye, it was tasty, but come on, it can be bigger, more generous and the veggies on the side, u could literally count them ! The generosity of the dishes was disappointing to me.

Absolutely wonderful. The garlic snails were famous, the homemade paprika butter was so good that I recommended it. The ribeye was not well cooked, I asked for rare and received it medium, a little disappointing BUT! I informed our server of the error and he was happy to bring it back to the kitchen, I then received a rare ribeye. Happy more than ever, I ordered the key lime pie, ABSOLUTELY TO TRY. Tender, refreshing, dripping with happiness, it was a gem. This restaurant excels in all areas of the kitchen. 5/5 recommended for fans of steak and high-end desserts. Parking: Underground parking

Service by Ionna, correct but nothing more, no wine service when we paid a huge price for the wine, the butchers platter meal would have been excellent with the beef cooked well and hot, a really long wait for a barely a meal hot with poor cooking. Meeting with the manager, ok but what can I say . Tweezers a little Kiute accent but nothing more... the bills are not even well distributed with the right things to the right people, from carbonated water to soda stream which charges $3 to end up in the end being very disappointed with this $250 dinner for 2 . A Wednesday evening restaurant not full . Imagine a Saturday evening pfffff .

We lived the Auroch DIX30 experience on Saturday November 25, 2023. We chose, for our 23rd anniversary as a couple, the Auroch because the website mentioned a stylish atmosphere (in comparison with the vestibule which mentioned a festive atmosphere). When we arrived, we were assigned a small table for two between a group of 4 very vocal young men and a group of 6 friends with a young child around 4 years old. What a disappointment in terms of the atmosphere / location for the event! Mentioning this to our hostess, she replied that this is the table reserved for us and that unfortunately, the others are taken or reserved. In addition, the music was too loud for our taste (for an atmosphere that wanted to be chic/stylish) which increased the volume of conversations. However, the place is visually magnificent and very comfortable. The cocktail, wine and beer menu is well stocked and there is sure to be something for everyone. Everything is in the high price range, obviously (cocktail around $15, same or higher for wine by the glass). Hot ciabbata rolls, accompanied by an assortment of butters (garlic and parmesan butter, maple and sea buckthorn butter, salted butter) were offered to us quickly and as much as we wanted. Delicious. We let ourselves be tempted by the butchers platter (platter of filet mignon skewers, flank steak in wine, quarter of a rack of ribs, 5x shrimp, Mac n cheese, garnished potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and cucumber and tomato salad, for two people) at $120. The quantity on the platter is perfect for two people (and my partner is a good eater) and the meats were cooked to perfection, juicy and everything was hot when served. Unfortunately, no sauce was served with the platter and, although good quality and cooked to perfection, the two cuts of beef were obviously not very tasty. When the waiter returned (because the dishes are brought by a runner), we had started half of our meal and we mentioned that a pepper, wine or béarnaise sauce would have been delicious and appreciated with the beef. The waiter tells us that they are available but extra and offers to go get some quickly - unfortunately, we had almost all eaten the beef (in order to enjoy it hot). Plus, at $120 a platter, we would have expected at least one accompanying sauce to be offered. Otherwise, it would be important for the server to mention it and offer it when taking the order. We finally indulged in two desserts and both (chocolate mi-cuut and carrot and cheese cake) were okay, without Wow! On the other hand, and slightly expensive in our opinion. Our experience at Auroch Dix30 was generally positive, although imperfect, especially for a bill of $200+ for two, mainly because of the atmosphere which was more casual and slightly too noisy than we were hoping for for our anniversary . On the other hand, the service was up to par for this type of restaurant. Parking: Do not hesitate to park in the underground parking lot; an elevator is available and takes you directly into the restaurant.

I went there for a business lunch. Cod accras and roast beef. Excellent service and very good meal. Reasonable in price but we did not consume alcohol. I was hungry so I almost forgot to take the photo. :-)

I made a mistake when booking online, we went to the 2nd where the atmosphere is cozy and soft music, in the end we couldnt find my reservation, I was told that it was on the 1st floor (RC), reserved for 18 years and over, but very noisy. However, same menu. Excellent food and fast, friendly service, but lacks refinement. The waiter seemed to be there just to take the order. We werent asked if it was to our taste, because its a runner who brings the plates. Finally very nice busy restaurant, festive atmosphere, ideal for birthdays, I highly recommend this restaurant, I will be very careful during my next online reservation

Last time for me at this restaurant . I went there several times to pass but this time was too much . Bill of $1500 for 4 and fairly low service... for a restaurant that calls itself high-end, the wine list leaves nothing to be desired... seriously, move on to the next one.

Just had our company dinner here the other night. The service was amazing, always made sure we had everything we needed and the food was delicious. My only downside was the music in our private room was so loud at first we had a hard time understanding the people sitting just infront of us. The portions were big and definitely filling, very delicious and beautiful presentation.

We hadnt planned to go to a fancy restaurant for dinner that evening. We stopped by before going to do some errands at 10/30. With our somewhat neglected look, the waitress, who must be barely 20 years old, seems to look down on us. The rest of the service was OK, nothing more. As for the food, it looks like a chain restaurant, very ordinary presentation, sauce that had crusted under the stove. Very ordinary steak. In short, $250 for 2, very poorly spent. At this price, dozens of restaurants offer you a much better culinary experience. First and last visit.

Beautiful decor, very nice staff who seem to be competent, but for the rest, the cuisine is really disappointing. A cheese-based appetizer without any interest or personality, a hamburger whose meat tastes very average, as for dessert, it smells like industrial pastry. This flavorless chocolate cake with its school marshmallows, surely at an economical cost for the chef, is an insult to good taste. Needless to say, we wont be returning.

I am an experienced customer (around fifty visits since opening) of this steakhouse. It is, without a doubt, the best steakhouse on the south shore of Montreal. I would even compare it favorably, in terms of quality and price, to Montreal steakhouses. My friends and I are always very happy with the service, food and alcohol at Aurochs. This restaurant has, in my opinion, become a shadow of what it once was. I really liked going there for dinner before the pandemic. I returned there on Friday October 28, 2022, to have dinner with my lover. My filet mignon was way overcooked and the presentation was rubbish. The service was clearly not worthy of the price of our bill. $246.05 before tip. We are extremely disappointed with our experience and in the future we will encourage other restaurants.
