I went to eat Wednesday night with my family and the two ladies who served me gave us impeccable service! The food was very good as well. Overall amazing experience!!
A lovely experience with kind service. The bowls are huge and delicious. Shrimp chips were not what I had expected, but very satisfying. The fried wontons are a great appetizer come with a sweet sauce. Perfect side to a rich bowl of pho! Jasmin iced tea is refreshing and sweet! The limo jade drink has a particular taste, great if you like coconut and grass.
The staff, service and food at le petit sao Brossard was absolutely outstanding!! Highly recommended 😍😍
Will be back to try different dishes.. I really love the decoration🍜
I wanted to like this place, I really did. MC pho is my Brossard go-to pho restaurant but it's closed today, I guess it wouldn't hurt if I'd try a new place, Sao Sao was jumping to my face, however it didn't stand up to my expectation...at all. The restaurant is actually well decorated. The server was nice and cute, too. BUT, the spicy beef rice noodles, also known as bun bow hue, were a big miss to me. First of all, the noodles were way too undercooked. When it comes to cook these kind of thick rice noodles , you have to soak them into hot water for a couple of hours ( at least 30 minutes), then you can cook them into perfection, however, I don't think the cook here knows this technique like every other pho restaurants out there. The rice noodles are too hard to chew. Even bending them is difficult. Second, the broth was not even hot, not tasty at all. This lemongrass flavor was missing, due to the lemongrass chunck that they use was sitting in the fridge too long, I assume. And the meat was nearly fresh, for spicy beef soup , I don't expect lots of flavorless prok stew in there. Big disappointment. The curry chicken bowl (p4)was pretty standard. That was the only reason that I rate this place 3 stars. Oh, one last thing, they don't have basil ...
Ordered spicy soup; it’s really spicy and flavorful! Veggies are fresh. Even the water tasted very fresh; didn’t taste like tape water. The only downside is that the limes were too old and were drying out. Service was friendly and speedy.
You still drinking beer directly from the can? I don't recommend to do it in this restaurant, because the stuff do not bother wiping cans. See photo. Place by itself is not bad and food too, but we couldn't enjoy because there was extremely cold. At any store, of you are next to the fridge is much better then at this restaurant. If I was the owners, I would spend some money on heating. it will definitely pay off.
My friend and I were at dix30 and debating on what to eat for lunch since everything (or almost) is expensive over there. We decided to go to Sao Sao on a whim, I had never tried it but she had. It was a HOT summer day in the middle of August and the waiter advised before even giving us a table that the AC was broken which was thoughtful. They had fans on so it wasn't too bad. I had a Gi cun roll as an entree, and it was delicious! I could've eaten two or three of these and would've been full! The sauce they gave you with it was also incredible. As the main plate, I had Bò nng with rice and the little salad. It was grilled beef with its own spices and seasoning. It was truly delicious, and it filled me up, definitely worth the price I paid! All in all, the prices are very low and the portion size is generous! The restaurant itself isn't the fanciest in its decoration or ambience, but it's cosy enough, and I would recommend trying it on an evening and getting different plates to try. Definitely will go again!
Very tasty food and very polite staff!!
Doesn t have the food ready for Uber eats orders. Makes drivers wait 10-20 min.
Very good on everything.
The food is excellent but the service is poor. We tried this twice. Really unfortunate!
I used to come here all the time and it was amazing. Today it was horrible the food had no taste and service was horrible. I wont be coming back unfortunately.
Very good food, fast and pleasant service and a smile! We are well received and the budget is reasonable. Great place to eat, I recommend!
The food is fresh and delicious, and the prices are fair. Kids friendly. Vegetarian options: The tofu is great! Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly. They have a few options for kids.
Great discovery this year. I liked the quantity/price ratio. Nothing to say about the service and the atmosphere, it was impeccable. The food was to my liking and I was surprised (positively) by the large portions. I highly recommend :)
I consider myself picky when it comes to food and their Grilled Chicken Pho Soup is absolutely delicious and generous!
Always a pleasure for years to come and eat soup. we go back every time we are in the area.
We had heard about this restaurant and we took advantage of being on vacation in CANADA to discover this great place! The food, the welcome and the atmosphere delighted us. We recommend it to you without hesitation!
I ate Mama Thi s spring rolls and a beef Pho which was excellent very good atmosphere and service
I went there with my family on a Friday evening! Even though the restaurant was very busy, the service was noteworthy! Nicolas, our server, came to our table several times to make sure we were satisfied and that we werent missing anything! This restaurant is truly a great discovery! Thank you Nicolas!
Ive been eating there several times now and its always excellent. They also opened a new branch at 8245 boul taschereau!!
Super good dishes! By account you have to update the hours on the website and on the poster in front, you arrive at 7:55 when the restaurant closes at 8:30 only to be told by the staff that it was already closed at that time. unfortunately the customer service leaves something to be desired
Very disappointed with the quality of the service received, and whats more, the Pho isnt even good at all, its the worst Ive eaten on the South Shore, not recommended! Dont go back!
The worst experience in Brossard..
Very slow service. Food is not on par with other Vietnamese restaurants in the Greater Montreal area. I needed to get some extra food after the meal because the portion was small.
Let s give the compliment where is due. The Place looks great, the menu has great potential. The items looked attractive and well thought out. But for us the most important point is the execution/taste of the food. And somewhat the service. We tried the curry chicken. The beef pho, the bun chicken bowl and the chicken vermicelli soupe/pho. Overall the taste of food was very disappointing. - The curry is too acidic, flavour profile not well balanced and not very complexe. We love Asian curries. Have tried 30+ Asian curry restaurant in Canada, and 50+ asians curries around the world. This is one of the worst. - the bun don t have enough authentic sauce/punch of flavour. It was rather blend. - the soups are good enough. Probably the best item out of what we were able to try at the restaurant. But after trying at least 20+ Vietnamese restaurant around Montreal. I would say it s a little below average. Ingredients are fresh. No problem there. The decors are cute. The service was slow, but the servers are nice and came to apologies a few times as they forgot us a few times and spilled hot soupe almost on my toodler. Overall feels this restaurant has potential, but definitely need a few adjustment in term of flavour execution.
I came to have lunch and to order a take-out lunch. I liked the food, the grilled chicken with rice vermicelli etc., a bit of water at the bottom of my bowl at the end, the sauce offered is good but sticks a little to the vermicelli etc. The coffee comes with the lunch, but I had to ask for it at the end of my meal and despite having paid for two meals, I only got one coffee. Good coffee though. The salad portion with the meals is a bit bland, I dont know if its the preparation or if its put in the fridge well in advance of the service. The pork is good, but be careful for people who dont like strong ginger or lemongrass marinades. The spring rolls are good but have a lot of grated carrot. A bit small too. I think the option of taking or not taking the bean sprouts and lime next to the bowls of soup would be appropriate, to reduce food waste. I liked the somewhat discreet service less, but it may be my style and preferences in terms of customer service or that I am a Millennial. I will go back with my partner, I will try something else, the chicken sandwich is good - even better with an addition of sriracha to consider! Come to eat a meal at lunchtime and to order a lunch meal to bring. I liked the food, the grilled chicken with rice vermicelli etc., a little water at the bottom of my bowl at the end, the sauce offered is good but doesnt stick to the vermicelli etc. much. Coffee comes with lunch, but I had to ask for it at the end of my meal and despite paying for two meals, I only got one coffee. Good coffee though. The salad portioned with meals is a little tasteless, I dont know if its the preparation or that it is put in the fridge well in advance of serving. Pork is good, but beware of people who dont like strong ginger or lemongrass marinades. The egg rolls are good but have a lot of grated carrot. A little small too. I think that the option of taking or not taking sprouted beans and lime alongside bowls of soup would be appropriate, to reduce food waste. I didnt like the somewhat subdued service, but that may be my style and preferences in terms of customer service or that Im a Millennial. Will go again with my partner, will try something else, the chicken sandwich is good - even better with an addition of siriracha worth noting!
Always amazing food
Great welcome. Very good cuisine
Very slow take-out service and the reason given was not relevant. Additionally, the food was not cooked well (the rice was tough and the chicken was still pink.)
Super good! Fresh ingredients! I appreciate that the majority of dishes can be made vegetarian with the addition of tofu. Very good cocktail. Friendly employees! We will definitely come back Vegetarian options: Almost all dishes can be adapted for vegetarian
Generous portions
Nice playlist and food ofc
The soup was good and the little dumplings as a starter were delicious. The portions are generous. The service was ok.
Vietnamese cuisine with a modern twist. Food is good but not 100% authentic. Service could be better we requested English menus but never got them from the server, so we ordered by guessing the French menu.
Good meal and nice choice of refreshing drinks.
Really very good. The desserts are still to be worked on, otherwise the entire menu is excellent.
Very good restaurant the starters are excellent the portions for the meals are generous Thai style (I highly recommend this little restaurant... I give 5 stars and more) ... reasonable price Vegetarian options: Excellent restaurant for vegetarians and non-vegetarians
Delicious & fresh. I love all the dishes with shrimps and the marinated tofu. Spring rolls are also my favourite.
We were extremely regular customers but since the new owners and the extreme price changes and the decreasing quality which gives mtnt I have been able to set foot there! Plus there is no more beef on the menu ciao bye la gang
I loved my experience at Petit Sao de Brossard! We went there as a family for brunch and everything was delicious! We took the bone: the presentation was incredible and the taste too, the spring rolls are always delicious and the salmon gravlax really very good, beautiful presentation and original flavors. The service was excellent and I really liked the decoration, very pretty colors and beautiful atmosphere! I recommend this restaurant and I will definitely return!
The dishes were excellent as always, and the warm service is really our sure value. The cuisine is authentic and tasty, I recommend 100%
Wow! What a beautiful environment, the food was incredible and especially their spicy soup (Bun Bo Hue) is incredible. Very good service as usual!!
super good, average grilled chicken soup, mmmmm
beautifully decorated restaurant The staff is kind but lacks attention to service We were seated and it took almost 15 mins before we got served water or asked if we wanted to start with something Took us another 10 mins of us waiving at waiters to get someone to notice us and ask for a dessert The food was good but not the best vietnamiese out there Pho soup was too salty We had a decent experience but most likely wont be back Lastly the pillows on the bench need to be washed - very dirty
At Petit Sao I finally found the best Pho soup on the South Shore and the service was perfect. Great atmosphere and at a really affordable price. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
This is my new favorite Pho go to. Food is delicious, price is fait, ambiance is amazing, staff are very friendly. I highly recommend!
If you only have an hour for dinner, dont go to this restaurant! I ordered egg rolls and soup. The first rolls were frozen inside. The second ones were okay. After 50 minutes of waiting, I still didnt get my soup, I had to leave since my dinner hour was over. And the restaurant wasnt really full! The decor is ok but the metal chairs are very uncomfortable. I might give them a second chance, but not sure.
A Saturday evening, 8 p.m., we are the only customers, quiet room, friendly waiters, fast service, the food is good but lacks flavor, General Sao is very lacking in sauce, it is dry, really a shame. The spring rolls are excellent, Wotton too. Big downside for the toilets which are really very very dirty unfortunately
The service was amazing and the food really good! I would recommend it to any foodie :)
Great fun!
Extraordinary
This is the best restaurant Vietnam
The food took about 20-30mins to come. Why is that?
The service always up to par. The dishes are so comforting!!
Good service and good taste
The pho took more than 30 mins to arrive. It was New Year s Day but looking at the review it might not have anything to do with the date. Restaurant seems to have a lot of takeout orders. The interior was nice but the food was just ok that is totally not worth the wait.
Delicious!
Superb place, delicious dishes, great discovery, we love going there with a friend or my partner!
Ordered 2 pho online 30 min ahead of time via their website. Arrived, and my order was not prepared because there was no beef soup anymore. They never called me or inform me despite it being an online order with my contact information. They offered to change the soup to chicken soup but then I had to wait for another 30 min. Pretty long for Pho. When I went home, I found out that they even replaced my meat to chicken meat. Omg. They didnt even give me a partial refund for the price difference. They didnt even provide any basil. Unacceptable
the restaurant seems rather new and recent. super cute room, very clean. we tried it as a takeout when leaving kimphat. the waiter gave us good advice and it was delicious
Amazing food and amazing service although kinda expensive Vegetarian options: There are vegan options like tofy Kid-friendliness: Dont mind to explain the options
Best Vietnamese restaurant I know
Great discovery. Good and nice quiet atmosphere. We will return.
Great vibe, delicious fresh food, beautiful trendy decor and amazing service. Highly recommended.
Amazing food even with complicated customers on their request ;) really a little pleasure to eat your food
Amazing food and ambiance just what you need after long day at work wonderful staff
Courteous, fast service. Perfect for families with young children. One of our favorite places to eat a good Pho soup on the South Shore of Montreal. Kid-friendliness: Childrens menu, booster, high chair, coloring.
Great food and friendly service
I have a question. Is it safe to eat at your house if I have a peanut allergy. THANKS.
Have eaten at Sao Sao several times now. The staff is super friendly and helpful when you have questions regarding the menu, which they ve done a great job on. You can tell they were intentional in having a good balance of offerings that are accessible to everyone. Every dish I ve tried so far hasn t disappointed. Luckily, I don t live next door to the spot otherwise, I d more time there than is healthy for my budget!
Super good food, very cool decor. Between friends or family, always well received. Thanks to you
Excellent . Great service and delicious food
Does not respect the schedule indicated online. Too bad because it s a very good restaurant.
Should not be squeezed. Here is my table after 45min.
Good little restaurant, delicious!!
Very good food, a little wait to receive our dishes
Excellent food and great service. Fresh ingredients at very good prices. Good option for a healthy alternative and good for takeout. Recommended dishes
We havent been for several months and its still excellent!! They have new items on the menu, such as the island bowl which is served with a really, really good creamy mango sauce. The portions are generous and the dish was so good that I couldnt resist eating it all!! Otherwise the broth of the spicy bun bo hoo soup was excellent. The spicy taste is just perfect, just spicy enough but doesnt burn in the mouth. The only thing that has also changed about the menu is the fact that it is no longer a bring your wine restaurant. A bit of a shame because there are very few of this type of restaurant today. But they have an interesting selection of wine and beers. Parking: Parking in a shopping center which is often full but we always manage to find a space
Best Tonkinese soup on the South Shore!
Nous sommes arrivés à 18h45, on a pas vu de serveur pendant 30min. On a eu notre nourriture à 20h00. Les verres deau on les a reçu en même temps que la nourriture. Avant le changement de SaoSao à le Petit Sao le service était beaucoup meilleur. On étais pas déçus de la nourriture, tout était délicieux. Mais le service est à améliorer.
Very very good, one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I have been to!
Really disappointed. Frozen spring rolls, beef already cooked in the soup. Not up to the reviews
Bonne ambiance Vegetarian options: Has some Dietary restrictions: Meat Parking: Sometimes has a lot Kid-friendliness: Kind of friendly but normal Wheelchair accessibility: Yea it s accessible
A well-hidden gem.
Nice and cozy restaurant. Good food, good service, plus they have a kids menu which is a big plus for our family. Their Vietnamese beef ´carpaccio is a must try. Kid-friendliness: Kid s menu available!
Simple and real good. Exactly what I wanted. Nice service too
We ordered grilled beef and chicken. Theyre supposed to be sprinkled with sesame... it was peanuts... Nothing in our order had peanuts, Im allergic, so I had to eat something else and my boyfriend ate both meals... Its dangerous as a substitute, Im greatly disappointed. In the restaurant, its good, the atmosphere is okay. They should still advise of the presence of peanuts in their dishes... this is not the case on the menu.
Impeccable service however the dishes are inert
Nothing negative to say! the service was impeccable the servers were friendly and happy as well as very fast. The food was very good and the portions were perfect. I loved the decor of the place :)!
Always very well received! Thanks to Johnny and the whole team taste lovers, coconut curry is worth the detour!
I really liked the coconut curry bowl! Very good taste and satisfying! Correct portion for the price! However, my boyfriend didnt like the taste of his pho dish, he found the taste too vinegary. I really liked the atmosphere and the decoration! I was less convinced of my drink for example (Pandan colada), it seemed like it lacked creaminess! Also, I found the rollers very expensive for their size!
Yea so so... I dont really like the noodle and the soup wasnt hot enough. Food
I ordered a Pho Dac Biet XL soup and I asked for extra beef tripe for $7... however once I received the soup, I asked the waiter where the extra tripe is, it goes in the kitchen inquires and comes back to see me telling me that the kitchen told them that the extra was in it... I search among the noodles, the soup and other meats, I finally manage to extract only a tablespoon. Already I had to have some in my soup.... I asked the waiter again while showing him my spoon and explaining to him that I paid for extra and that according to the kitchen this would be what comes with my soup and also included my EXTRA....?!?! He understands the situation and returns to the kitchen to then bring me some small pieces in a small 1oz cup of tea....very very disappointing!!! I will unfortunately not go back there.... my family had an Asian restaurant and our portions were much less expensive and much more filling.... really disappointing! Ill go cheer for Pho MC instead thanks
Really liked this place
Nice atmosphere. A little expensive but no basil
Refreshing, tasty cuisine served in a calm atmosphere.
The best Vietnamese food in Brossard! Always fresh, tasty and the new options, since the changes from Sao Sao to Le Petit Sao are delicious! We fell in love with the bun bowls, rare beef pho and the grilled chicken Pad Pho. Both take-out meals and those eaten in the dining room are carefully prepared and have a neat appearance.
The broth in Bun Bo Hue was very good. The pieces of meat were a little too shredded. Very good service.
Friendly and tasty Vietnamese restaurant. The coconut curry bowl was delicious, a real explosion of flavors in the mouth! The spring rolls were fresh and crispy. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant: it will take you on a journey!
Giving it 2 stars for the staff and service. The Bon Bo Hue is salty and a mess; very basic stuff. Same for the Pho; the beef is frozen fondue beef... not good. The General Sao bol was not better. There is way better Vietnamese food on Taschereau if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese. 2nd time and not going back.
Wow!!!! But what a great find Excellent and fast service Freshness and flavor come together
Grilled chicken pho soup way too salty :(
Pho very good
Good soups, it is worst to try it. Average price is 16$ per soup.
Super good little restaurant. Portions more than reasonable, prices are fair and the food is delicious. We chose the bùn bowl and the pho soup. The spring rolls are also delicious.
Everything was fresh and delicious, great discovery
Better and tastier than on Nuns Island and also a more lively atmosphere. I recommend!
Bunbo hue pas bon. Too salty.
100% recommended. Amazing service and great food. Best Vietnamese on the South Bank
The dining experience at Sao Sao was truly exceptional. From the moment we entered, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made us feel right at home. The menu offered a delightful selection of dishes, each expertly crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite was delightful, and I can t wait to return to Sao Sao to explore more of their delicious creations. Highly recommended indeed!
Small portions.
Very good cuisine if you want to eat a Phò or a meal bowl. The portions are generous and the dishes are tasty. The spring rolls on the other hand the last time I was there were made in advance, the texture of the vermicelli was not great. I always have the Bún bò Hu Spicy soup which is great. The service is impeccable every time. On the other hand, billing after the meal is done at the counter and it is often problematic and very long, we should think about improving everything. One of the must-haves for us now!
I went there twice, I got the General Sao and the Curry chicken, both very good and generous portions I dont remember the prices tho. The website was outdated when I went, it said it was a bring your own alcohol restaurant but it isnt anymore so a small disappointment on that point when I went there. Parking: Big parking in front, but can be full depending on the hour and day.
Nice and quiet place to eat at. I took take out. Broth was rich although I was disappointed at the price/quantity. It was slightly short of 18$ for a large which in take out form felt even smaller.
Incredibly small portion for an Asian restaurant... Wasnt I lucky?
One of the best if its not the best in Montréal...Vietnamees food ... amd very kind and welcomimg
Very good restaurant, affordable price and we can bring our own wine
Impeccable welcome and service. Natural wood decor, plastic herbs, the restaurant is full of clarity The menu says spring rolls handmade with a lot of love yes a lot of love noodles 3/4 of the roll filled with these noodles and the rice paper sticky and a little dry For BunVibes, the tasty chicken is still there a mountain of noodles under the chicken and salad I wanted to visit the place for a long time, it was done and disappointed .
I would always eat at Sao Sao. Xx
Garbage restaurant. Slow service. So disappointed.
The food was amazing
Excellent service. This is no longer a BYOB restaurant.
Return after several years. The soup is more flavorful and fragrant. Honestly, shes excellent. Easily comparable to the best pho broths in Montreal. The atmosphere is very good, the employees friendly. Its a hit for the family.
Excellent point on the line
poor service cold soup waiter arongant i wouldnt recommend this place to a dog bad place for viet food
The best Vietnamese on the south shore, we have been going there for 10 years, never disappointed
Great discovery! Friendly and courteous service.
Clean place and very pleasant and caring staff. Reasonable prices
Pho soup lover I went to Calli on St Laurent but closing for the moment the soup was great. I tried the New York Pho soup too thin when I went, and here the soup is super very tasty and good served clean place perfect dedicated service I will leave delighted
So disappointed, It took one hour for our food. House special Pho was salty. There was no basil. Order chicken rice, first time I see it in a bowl. Service was terrible. I dont recommend if you are pho lover. Rice was hard and burn. Noodles was overcooked.
Very good service, fast, affordable price
Very happy to have found this place to eat phõ! Delicious broth, fragrant and tasty just the way I like it The chicken imperial rolls were very good! We will definitely come back and maybe try the plates and take the opportunity to bring a bottle of wine
It was good but maybe a lack of staff it took a long time but I can understand that. In any case, I still liked my dinner.
Great food, great staff, nice ambiance, treat yourself :)
Absolutely awesome. !!!
Ordered the large pho and their large is equivalent of a medium of other Vietnamese restaurants. They also don t give enough beef, I was not impressed by the flavour and the soup was definitely too salty I very much prefer the other pho restaurant that s not far from this one
Was not too my liking....over priced might be 1 of them...was not impressed with the portions per dollar value...and just did nothing for my taste buds...
A1 food and service! Thanks Alex for the personalized saves
First experience here and pleasantly surprised! Thanks to Alex for his incredible service and great suggestions!
Great dinner thanks Alex
Excellent welcome and tasty dishes
The food was great and price reasonable. I ordered take away and was pleasantly surprised with the packaging which is more eco-friendly compared to other places. Will order again.
First time we trying foods in this restaurant. . Bún bò Hu / beef noodle soup is a bit salty, only beef, no Vietnamese sausages and pork hocks. . Pho doesnt taste good, my son eats it and doesnt like it. . The restaurant is clean and cutely decorated, we like it. We give this restaurant 3 star and half.
Impeccable and delicious welcome and service.
No shrimp in the spring rolls bad service
Good tonkiose soup. Very good and big rolls. Price $$$
This place was superb...before. Maybe the owners have changed? The names of the dishes are the same on the menu but the recipes are completely different. Loss of flavors, very soft breaded chicken, overcooked rice. I wont go back there again
Very good food
Great food
Welcome and service in French. Very fast service and excellent food. The decor is brightly lit and the colors are playful. The cleanliness is impeccable
The food is excellent and the service very courteous. I loved the place!
Courteous service
Very good
It was absolutely delicious! :D
Very unpleasant welcome this Saturday, November 13, 2021 The gentleman at reception forgot to leave his problems at home. And yes, we try to treat the customer with a minimum of respect!!
Excellent meal
Wow delicious Tonkinese soup I would have liked a little more noodles though compared to other restaurants this soup is more $$ but less noodles
Very good, good service.
Tasty food, very good service and we bring our wine so I highly recommend this quality-price restaurant.
This restaurant is truly a little marvel! The soup is delicious and very affordable. The staff is also super nice!
Nice quiet place, I ordered a dac biet soup and it was very good, also the spring rolls was one of the best I have ever ate. I dont know what they put in it but it was delicious! The waiter was also very friendly!
