Fabulous! Professional friendly server, amazing food. We were a party of 8. Each meal was wonderfully presented, perfectly cooked.

Spectacular place, we had great time, good food and atmosphere.

After much debate I m now going to provide my true review of my Xmas luncgrin attended by 8 elder ladies. Our server was awesome no problem there, The Christmas decorations awesome as always The food meh for what I ordered a Greek salad which was presented nicely but was bitter and lacking flavour and escargot which was minuscule and only served in melted butter ( no I did not complain) and as it was noon and I m not a big eater. 40$ plus tip Not worth it. Sorry

Last night I dined here with a friend. This morning she asked me to rate our experience out of 10 and I gave it 6.7. If there was a .5 option here, I may have given a rating of 2.5 here instead of 2. They have the foundation to be a good restaurant ie, atmosphere, cuts of meat, hand made Caesar vinaigrette made at the table, a nice wine list but the execution of the food and the service was a disaster. My friend ordered her steak blue rare. Which should have still been seared especially on the fat cap and cool to the touch in the middle. It was neither. I ordered medium rare which should have been pink throughout and red in the middle. Instead it was red throughout and raw in the middle. We ordered oysters rockefeller for our app. They use smoked bacon and unfortunately that s all you taste. When I mentioned that to our server only one oyster in, he said oh I think those are lovely. And dismissed my comment completely. Had he given the appropriate response, apologizing and asking me if there s something I would like instead, I would have switched to the escargot, however after waiting at the bar to be seated and then 30 minutes for him to even get back to me on which wine I wanted I was hungry and ate them anyway. Moving on to the caeser salad that was made at the table. The salad although lacking the zest of a good dressing wasn t as bad as him using that occasion to boast that they were the best restaurant in southern Ontario after what I had just experienced and having been to Morton s, hys, Jacob s, harbour 60, Ruth s Kris I was wondering why he would be making this claim in such a bold way. Our outing wasn t planned and we were underdressed. I wonder if that s why when I asked for king crab to accompany my steak he said oh that s $160 with a worried expression on his face. Unfortunately only the outside of the knuckle meat was warm. Inside was cold. And at $160 yes now it was time to say something But after our server quite literally dismissed my friend by turning his back and walking away to deal with another table as she said something about her steak and then dismissing and offending me I asked to speak to the manager. His response to the crab was I will get them heated and add some. I didn t mention my steak at the risk of it coming back overdone. But I asked my friend to comment on hers. His response was that she should have asked for it to be seared. Which was not only inappropriate but mind blowing. When my crab came back it was a watery mess. My plate was drowned, mash potato soup. When he came back to ask how they were. I didn t even want to talk about it. But my friend urged me to.. so I showed him my plate and shared my latest concern at which point he lectured me on how they cook it in water. As if the oven wasn t an option. Was even our dessert comped? no! Did we feel respected? No. Do I ever want to go back? No. Would I recommend this place to anyone? No. Did we think this restaurant is the calibre they claim to be and think of themselves. No! Do we think they need a reality check.. yes! The best part of my experience was my friends company and the crème brûlée was perfection. Was the $571 plus the sub par but well deserved $72 tip worth it no. I think my friend suggested the keg would have been better as least they would have known to sear the steak. And after talking my through my entire experience. The 6.7 rating I gave my friend this morning upon her asking was generous.

Wow was I surprised. My husband had always wanted to go. For his birthday I surprised him with dinner. We had a great time! Thank you Mike for your outstanding service. Everything and everyone was great!

There arent many restaurants if any that compare to Lord Nelsons. They exceed our expectations everytime we dine there. Wine list is great, good is fantastic, service is amazing and nothing comes close to their ceaser salad prepared table side.

Very deceptive based on its plaza location - when you walk in to a very traditional steakhouse with amazing quality food and friendly attentive staff! Highly recommend!

Food was excellent, service was weak as the waiters also double duty making the table side Ceasar Salad so they can be gone for 20 minutes at a time. Wine list is weak given this is a high end steak house, and unfortunately they do not have corkage. Interesting that Bavarian Steak House which has one of the largest wine cellars in North America allows guests to bring 1 bottle. Mark up on the house wine was 5x which is excessive. One of the owners is on site and engaging.

I just did photoshoot here for wedding. Everything is very very nice food etc. Staff is Execellent.

We love the Lord Nelson and always recommending it to friends in the area! As I type this while Im eating our take home Caesar salad for lunch! The owners are amazing and their staff goes above and beyond to make sure ever order is to the T! We frequent the Lord Nelson every time we are in town which means a lot considering we also live in NYC and Pittsburgh. Get the oyster Rockefeller and caesar salad, its the BEST! We come here for special occasions and have never been disappointed. The steaks are delicious, garlic bread delicious, good desserts, and good service. Scott was fantastic for service.

Dinner was very good, but not exceptional. Service was fine, but not particularly attentive. Given that I could have easily had two complete dinners at the Keg for what I paid here for one basic entree, Im not sure I got good value for my money. In all fairness though, I did enjoy my meal very much.

We were celebrating my birthday. My husband and I thought the sea bass was outstanding. Delicious sauce and perfectly cooked. My mother-in-law loved her filet mignon, and we all loved our veggies. The waitress brought me a complimentary dessert. She was very personable and professional even though it was a busy Friday night. Thank you for a memorable evening.

The Lord Nelson has been open for 50 years. We have been going for about 48 of them. We have never had a problem or a bad meal. Always impeccable service and beautifully prepared food.

Predictably good traditional steakhouse

Ive been to this establishment many times Ive never been disappointed not once the last time I was there I wanted something chocolate and peanut butter for dessert they didnt have anything of that persuasion on their menu so my guy went to the store and bought said appropriate treat and dressed it for me with whipped cream and drizzle over above and beyond great service

Exceptional restaurant. Old school, and marvelous. Date night was made perfect. Not inexpensive, but in my opinion worth it. Menu has something for everyone. Beef, chicken, pasta, seafood, salads. Impressive wine list, amiable staff. Nothing I would change.

I have been a few times over the years with a friend that her and her family dine there often. She has taken a few friends each time to celebrate her birthday. The food is amazing. The staff, who have worked there for years or decades, dropped by the table to wish my friend a happy birthday. Our waiter, Patrick, is always fantastic. This is my favourite restaurant by far.

This was my first time at Lord Nelson s on Valentines Day and it was an amazing experience. our server was attentive and professional and the owners are wonderful people. On top of the amazing hospitality the food was incredible. I had the Wagyu steak, Caesar salad and the calamari and I highly recommend all three. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection and was probably the best steak ive ever had. People told me prior to going that this a hidden gem and that s exactly what it was. Will definitely be back at Lord Nelson s.

I cannot say enough good things about The Lord Nelson Seafood Steakhouse. The atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated, although you would never guess it from the outside appearance. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, and the food is divine. Their lobster bisque and prime rib are a must-try!

Absolutely amazing experience

Wish we could give 10 stars, we celebrated Wayne s birthday on Tuesday and we were treated like royalty!! The meal was incredibly delicious (oh the lobster bisque) and service was just like being at friend s house. Thank you John, Scott and Demetry for everything. This place deserves all the stars. The food it absolutely fantastic and every single person that works here is amazing as well. This is mine and my husbands favourite place and that s saying a lot considering how picky we usually are! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great spot for an important business meeting

Went for a dinner here not too long ago and have such an amazing experience! Highlights were definitely the calamari that was cooked to perfection, and their steak. I had the bone in ribsteak and I was thoroughly impressed that they could do it a perfect Chicago style medium rare i would for sure recommend trying this restaurant out and I ll be sure to visit again soon thank you soooo much!!

First and last time I will dine at Lord Nelson. Very disappointing.

I may be biased as my hubby is the chef but that doesnt change the fact that the service and ambiance are exceptional (and the food of course). The owners are passionate about hospitality and it shows.

To be fair, the food here is absolutely amazing. My only issue is the price. The price of all the dishes here are inflated. You can get a similar quality steak/market quality seafood fish for half the price in a lot of local Burlington gems. This place has the reputation which drives the prices, but in my opinion you re paying for just that, the name of the establishment. If you go here you will not be disappointed in the quality of the food, you just might be upset with the price.

The food was awesome as was the service. Beautiful atmosphere. I have one complaint. As there are handicap door openers, I expected a handicap bathroom but they dont have one. Food : 5/5

Good foods and services

Meal was excellent. Had ceasar salad made from scratch, entree was chicken parm and dessert was creme brule. Server went above and beyond as to even hold the door as we left. Loved it and definitely going back.

My friends and I have been coming here once a year around Christmas since college, so around 10 years now. It is a super classy place with delicious food. The ribeye steak is so good. The staff really spoil you in a fine dining way. Thank you! Well continue to come back.

I was excited to eat here at first, but from service to the food, it was below par. The only good thing was the salad. The steak had no seasoning at all. When it came to service we had to ask to order food and wait several times. Overall it was below the quality of a chain restaurant like the Keg.

This establishment is the benchmark of what other restaurants / hospitality businesses strive to reach. If you re looking to have an exclusive unique dining experience, this is the best. The extra expense to dine here, creates exclusivity. Therefore making a wonderful atmosphere of like minded people. You ll never feel rushed or pressured to eat and leave, as another person is waiting for the seat. Although mostly every table is full. The bookings are sensible and never double booked. I truly appreciate this place, not only for the wonderful food. It s for the wonderful business decision to be the best. Catering to a smaller market segment with 100% attentiveness and perfection. Other places try to replicate this atmosphere. However it s never been duplicated. It s 1 of 1 and I m honoured to dine there.

The service was excellently! Pat and his partner were wonderful! We sat at table 19 and had 7pm reservations. We were seated on time. Went on a Tuesday night for our daughters birthday and the food was amazing! Dinners ordered were the surf and turf, king crab, sea bass and pasta, fillet and baked potato. Everything was cooked perfect and not over seasoned. Autmosphere was great and everything was so clean. First time and it wont be our last :)

Went with a group of people, and overall the dinner was ok. It wasnt amazing, just your regular steakhouse. I wouldnt quite call it top service fine dining either as the service was on par to places like the Keg, but not the higher level sophistication youd get from the true fine dining restaurants. And now that restrictions are lifted, they have placed tables where tables dont belong. Throughout the entire dinner, the space was so cramped that every time the server walked past, he would knock into my chair, or kick it, or knock things off other peoples chairs. I could reach out and touch the person sitting in the next table over. On top of which, there were groups of people just standing around the walk space with their wine, chatting and just blocking the path, obviously with no masks either. The food itself was ok. The oysters were fresh, the steak was tender, and the cheesy cauliflower is good. The mashed potatoes were bland and hard, not soft, silky and fluffy like it should be. Almost seemed like they didnt add anything to the potatoes and just mashed boiled potatoes and served. Overall, not really worth the price. There was potential, as the place is decorated like fine dining, but it just didnt quite hit the mark.

This was our first time eating at Lord Nelson. Our experience was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was 5 star+. Danny our waiter went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of! We highly recommend this restaurant and we will most definitely return here!

The food is great here and exactly what you would expect for a steakhouse. The portions are very generous. They have an excellent wine list. Note that their menu pricing on the website is somewhat outdated.

I can t believe I ve lived in Burlington since 2015 and just went for the first time. This place is incredible. The staff 5 stars, the food 1000 stars . Wowww just wow!!!!

I have to say, I am very surprised by many of the 5 star reviews. So the positives first. Our server was wonderful, elegant decor, friendly staff. Now the not so good. My wife and son and I all ordered the filet, me with the lobster tail. The food was ok but certainly not worth $400 before tip. Now that did include two glasses of house wine. I had ordered mine with a baked potato only to be informed that they were out of potatoes. Really . I have seen it mentioned a few times about getting the exact same meal at The Keg and will admit a better tasting stake for a fraction of the price. Nice place but for sure not worth the price.

Steak houses can be so boring and stuffy, this place gets top points in everything. To start their decor is updated and pleasing to the eye doesn t matter whether you re seated at the bar, any table or one of their private rooms. If you ve never done it before, I would recommend their table side Cesar salad. Made with all the typical Cesar ingredients, it is that perfect combination of fresh, crunchy and unmistakable garlic flavour. I ve been with a group of friends, I also brought my 7 yr old. (He s a well behaved guy who loves his steak and seafood) I wouldn t say LN s is not child friendly, but this is a place you re going to, to really have a nice dinner so keep this in mind. Servers do fine dining quite well here. They are always attentive and observant. This is key. As for food, you cannot go wrong with anything. Do not be off put by it s strip mall location, Lord Nelson s can rival any downtown steak house any day of the week.

Fealt like i was eating dinner at the keg

This place is not the place to go if you want a good meal. They food was terribly prepared and the service was absolutely horrific, I do not recommend the place to anyone that s trying to enjoy a fine dining setting and meal.

We were there on Nov 4th the celebrate birthday(s) and retirement. What a disappointment! The escargot were bland, nothing but a few thrown in a dish with some weak wine sauce and stale baguette slices. $42 for salad???? Lobster bisque was COLD. Not the worth the trip. Over-rated and overpriced. I think places like this had their day in the early 2000s. There are sooo many more restaurants now that serve fine dining that is truly FINE and the food is good. This place was horrible. We will never be back. $400 well never get back.

We were a group of 12 celebrating a birthday & the food was phenomenal! The service was exceptional as well. We had a variety of different dishes, from Wagyu steak, veal, pasta, rib steak - everyone loved their meal! The appetizers were great as well, oysters, mussles, Cesar salad & more, no complaints, everything tasted great! Please note that we gather at restaurants often for celebrating, and we are foodies who wouldnt return to a place if it was unsatisfactory - we all would return & definitely recommend this restaurant! Yes, it is pricey, but you honestly are guaranteed a great night out with great food!

For my wifes Birthday I wanted to take her somewhere special. After some online searching I decided to take her to Lord Nelson in Burlington. Its located in a small unassuming strip mall. When we entered we werent greeted at first and the young coat check/hostess girl seemed a bit timid and confused. Eventually another lady greeted us and I told her we had a reservation, which in the notes online I had requested a quiet table for 2. The lady explained that they were having an event today and we could have a table in a private room that is quieter but the table in the main room is much nicer. Not wanting to make a fuss I told her the regular table would be fine. It wasnt too long after we were seated that I regretted not taking the other table. The restaurant was very loud, and after another group was seated next to us it got even rowdier. Even though it was a Thursday evening it felt more like a pub during a game night rather than a fine dining restaurant. The hostess did check our coats which was nice. Anyways, I read in the reviews that the Caesar salad is made table side and is really good so we started with that. My wife ordered the Lord Nelson special and I got the Chicken Supreme. Shortly after we ordered we were brought a small platter with pickles, olives, Pate and a bowl with garlic bread. I have been to restaurants before where they bring you complimentary bread but this was 2 tiny pieces of garlic bread. I tried it with the pate but it was better on its own as the pate didnt have much of a taste to it. Eventually the waiter set up the salad table and began to make it infront of us. He appeared to be making the dressing and everything from scratch but I cant be sure as he didnt really explain what he was doing. He just started mixing and mashing and I couldnt tell what some of the ingredients were. It would have been great if he explained what he was doing or even asked if we cared. Especially considering this salad costs almost $50. About 1/3 of the way through he stopped to help another table light something. He took the lighter they were using to try and start up some sort of fondue or something. Then he came back and continued making our salad without washing his hands. Yeah, hes using utensils to make the salad but hes squeezing the lemon with his bare hands and...well its not hygienic, ya know? Anyways the salad and the experience of having a nice Caesar made traditionally from scratch infront of you is great and it tasted good but not $50 good. It was a bit heavy on the dressing. Our mains came shortly after we finished the salad. My wifes Lord Nelson special featured Beef Tenderloin Tournedos which were cooked to perfection. Very delicious. My Chicken Supreme was also very tasty. Both came with the exact same sides though my cubed potatoes were slightly undercooked. We were too full to finish our meals so we got the leftovers put away for us. They were placed in cheap flimsy containers more suited to Chinese food restaurants, and we didnt get a bag or anything to put them in. Not very fancy at all. We skipped dessert and got the bill. In my opinion it was too expensive for what we got. I have been to expensive, fine dining restaurants and steakhouses before and this place just isnt worth the cost. As we were leaving we had to wait awkwardly at the front because we needed our coats and no one was there to get them for us. Eventually the young hostess came over and handed our coats back to us in a big bundle. The poor thing seemed very spaced out and out of her element. Anyways, the wife was pleased so Mission Accomplished but I wont be back, especially at that price, and I dont recommend anyone else go unless they have money to burn. TL;DR, Expensive steaks with meh service. Not bad but not great either.

Went for dinner last Friday evening, it was absolutely amazing. Talk about the WOW factor.... it is absolutely stunning the way they have decorated it for the holidays. From the moment we walked in until we left, we had a great evening. The food was delicious, the service as always was top class. Cant wait to go back again. Vegetarian options: I would like to see more vegetarian options on the menu.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary this evening at Lord Nelson. The service and the meal were amazing. My husband booked through open table and thought he had ordered flowers to be delivered to our table.I believe she was the hostess explained that open table does not communicate with them and in future call them in person and they can arrange anything we want. Whe we left she gave us a beautiful gift basket of oils and seasonings. It was so unexpected and appreciated. A wonderful experience.

The place was amazing went here for my birthday, food was good had a wonderful night but towards the end my waiter was very ignorant and rude towards me and my friends at the end of the night he was talking very loudly about us with fellow co coworkers will not be coming here again. made reservations last week to have Patrick as our waiter. The owners wife told me i have a gold star beside my name. I asked when he was working to make sure he was our waiter. We showed up, and some guy came to our table and didnt introduce himself. I asked where Patrick was, and he told me he wasnt working. I dont know what part of I wanted Patrick when I made Reservations. I spoke with the owner and his wife, and the excuse was that they gave Patrick the night off. I asked why they didnt call me so I could change my Reservations. They only have 15- 20 tables, depending on how they are set up. The owners wife said she couldnt call everyone. Lol. Im sure not everyone has a gold star by their name, and not everyone asks specifically for Patrick. The service was awful. I would have expected to be notified after how we used to frequent it quite often. I normally leave 30-40% tip. I left 13% and felt that was too much. We have brought homemade Black forest and carrot cakes for the whole staff to show our appreciation of Patricks service. Im sure thats why the gold star beside my name. I will not return to this restaurant due to poor communication and service. The Cesar salad was awful. It was one of the reasons I told my friends to order it because they made it right at your tables, and it used to be amazing. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We had a great dining experience here! I immediately noticed how much fresher the calamari tasted vs other places I have been. Our entrees were cooked perfectly and our server (Patrick) was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion or a high end date night! :)

Excellent food. Even in the takeaway containers (pickup bc of COVID) the food was not soggy and still tasted like it came right from the kitchen.

The service was expert, friendly, and inclusive; the food was excellent; and don t be fooled by the small strip mall-style exterior - the dining room is light, beautiful & welcoming. They offer lots of classic and popular cocktails, and the wine list is well curated. We very much enjoyed the garlic bread, pate, pickles and olives that arrived before we ordered - a standout spread in its own rite. Lobster bisque was velvety rich deliciousness with generous chunks of quality crustacean. Table side Caesar salad was prepared with care and perfectly balanced - garlicky, citrusy with salty umami punches (easily a must for all subsequent visits). Oysters Rockefeller were plump topped with rich and creamy decadence. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed the steak & lobster tails they shared; petit filet was also a favourite, as well as the veal chop bathed in a Demi glaze and creamy Gorgonzola (YUM!). The dessert lovers enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding, and classic coffee and spirit combinations were a welcome finale today the meal as they were prepared at the table with fiery flair and experienced showmanship. I believe our server s name was Patrick, and he truly looked after us, making the evening extra special (as did all the staff supporting at different points during our visit). Highly recommend Lord Nelson for a delicious and memorable meal - would think it to be an excellent choice for a special dates, occasions, and events. Look forward to returning in future.

Celebrated our 4th Anniversary at the Lord Nelson tonight. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent and attentive service, delicious and generous portions. The Caesar salad made at the table was outstanding. What a treat to go out and eat after 1.5 years staying at home.

Went there Saturday September 18th, I was very happy with the service, Food & drinks were great. It exceeded my expectations. Everyone made us feel welcomed, checked on us in a timely manner I would definitely recommend you wont be disappointed.

We were able to get in on Saturday night, our waiter was fantastic, the Caesar salad he made for us was excellent. Everyones main course was cooked to perfection, so tender and delicious. We all agreed this was the best meal we ever had. Thank you Lord Nelson.

What an experience! We had date night at home and the staff/ownership at the Lord Nelson made our night spectacular. The meal I was able to serve at home was as good as the in restaurant experience minus the service! From the garlic bread, pate, pickles and olives to the Veal Chop, Short Rib ravioli and their famous Caesar salad my family enjoy each bite. This will be repeated forsure. I will always still miss the de crumbing of a table, watching a salad being made and the fine touch the waiters bring at the restaurant, but for a home experience I couldn t have asked for a finer night! From ordering, pick up and quality I couldn t have had a greater experience. All the extra touches were given. Thanks Lord Nelson- we will do it all again soon. Cheers!

We hosted our family (nine people) for a Christmas dinner 2021-12-11 at the Burlington Lord Nelson Steak House. The food was top of the line in terms of preparation, taste and presentation. Our server (Val) was the ultimate professional and he handled every request quickly and made it all look so easy. Took a friend out for his birthday on December 19th, 2021 assuming I would get exceptional service. Unfortunately, things didnt go as smooth as I assumed, had to get our waiters attention several times in regards of taking our orders. The responses to accommodate us seemed very nonchalant. Overall, would not recommend this location as a luxury restaurant as it represents it self, due to my experience. Food was not the greatest, very bland and again there needs to be a drastic improvement on customer experience. Will not be considering a re-visit in the inner future and not to mention our waiter included a gratuity in our bill for a table of 4, which was not discussed/informed before hand.

Wow. Amazing setting food and service

This restaurant has become our go to place for our Family Christmas Dinner for the past 4 years and it never disappoints. The food and the service are just amazing... (make sure to order the Caesar salad and the Filet mignon)

I ve frequented this place with my family for years. We ve made a new tradition of going for Christmas Eve, which is also my Grandma s birthday. Last night s dinner was not the best we have experienced, unfortunately. We waited over an hour and a half for our dinner, even after mentioning it was my Grandma s birthday- no one wished her a happy birthday, no cake with candle, NOTHING! We even saved the day by switching tables from the wine cellar to the regular tables, as there seemed to be a mix up, causing a bit of an uproar for another family. Originally when I walked over to the owner and his daughter to explain the scenario, they told me to sit down LOL Realizing they were very busy, and looked definitely more than stressed, I brushed it off, but thought it was terribly unprofessional. A $600 dinner seemed to be deemed as chump change, as they were more concerned with the family of 10 behind us, and ensuring their glasses were filled with what seemed like bottomless champagne. A free drink, saying happy birthday to my Grandma, 10% off our dinner, or a piece of cake with a candle is all it would have taken to make our night.

Great food and wine order the oysters rockfella you wont be disappointed

After doing some research I reserved for my boyfriends 42nd Birthday. Dining out for us is so hit and miss. We dont mind spending money when its worth it which is something we rarely say. Tonight was very pleasantly different. Our experience was nothing short of perfection. Service, ambience, presentation and of course food that was brilliantly prepared exactly as requested....which was another amazing aspect...special requests were welcomed!! We are already planning a return visit and have spread the word. Thank you for a most memorable evening!

Amazing flavors! Fresh warm Garlic bread with leaver pate. Special salad with mayonnaise that is made in front of you. Tomahawk steak so soft, is melting in your mouth. Rare Patagonian fish smooth like butter. Rich red wine Cream Brule Capuccino for sweet ending. Most important, great service and great owners!

Wonderful. We went here for the first time tonight. The drinks were made really well. Hats off to the bartenders. Food was delicious but mine was just a little too salty for me & sadly my coffee at the end was cold. The waiter didnt check up on us very often, but all the other employees were extremely friendly and kind.

Looks like the restaurant takes pride in its name Everything is branded, but it really does not care about customer experience. Waiter said can t talk to me because needs to attend other tables. Escargots had no flavour. My son s steak was overcooked. Prices very high but they serve Lipton tea;( Cake taste like previously frozen. Not Experience for a high end restaurant.

October 30, 2019 I have eaten many a times over the years and have always been satisfied. Some of the staff have been there for years. Went to dinner to celebrate a birthday. Very disappointed this time, don t think it was up to par. Had the Waygu Steak, not sure it was Waygu. Did not look like what I had read about or seen pictures of, looked like a regular NY Strip Steak, but at 4x the cost. I will probably come back again, just do not want to be disappointed. Especially when you spend that much money.

Excellent spot for lunch. The ambiance is formal, but not stuffy. The wine list is robust, with plenty of good choices by the glass. The wait staff are all very gracious, professional and friendly. My husband ordered Oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer. They were very fresh, plump and topped with bacon and both cheese and hollandaise. Fortunately he shared, and they were delicious. I asked our waiter about the beautifully presented salads that were delivered to another table. He said the guests are Regulars and they always order the same thing. It was a great recommendation. I had a Greek salad that was lemony dressed with lots of veges and feta. They served it with a large portion of blackened salmon that was perfection! My husband ordered the Lord Nelson Salisbury steak with frites. It had a savory gravy with lots of sauted onions. Dessert was offered, but we had to pass. Maybe next time, we will get to try the house made cheesecake! The exterior is very unassuming. It is literally in a strip mall! The grand, solid wood door is the only thing that lets you know you have arrived! I highly recommend Lord Nelson! Enjoy!

My wife and I recently had dinner here for a special occasion. Both meals were well prepared and spot on taste wise. We had the mussels, veal and tiger shrimp, and I had the 8oz Filet Mignon. It was a cozy atmosphere and we had a great evening. All the staff were knowledgeable and attentive.

My wife and I picked up dinner for the first time tonight and wow it was amazing!! The Sea Bass was perfect and the Short Rib Ravioli is now my new favourite. Thank you Vaso, John and the team for a great meal.

This is my husbands favourite restaurant. He absolutely LOVES coming here. It is a beautiful dining experience with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. There is no loud or blaring music and the food is just to die for. There staff are exceptional at their jobs and I highly recommend getting the Ceasar Salad and cherries jubilee, both of which they make right at the table. The experience is totally worth it. COVID update. Aug2020, Just visited again. Excellent covid precautions in place. This place is still amazing.

I have never had a less than perfect meal at the Lord Nelson. From the wait staff to the ownership, every person working in this establishment makes you feel important and valued when you walk in the door. It is pricey but for the service and quality of food, it cant be beat in the GTHA. You must get the Caesar Salad if you go, it is absolute garlic HEAVEN.

I ordered pick up from the Lord Nelson yesterday so my husband and I could celebrate our anniversary at home. We even got a babysitter for the first time. So this was a big deal for us. Unfortunately, the whole experience left me less than satisfied with a literal bad taste in my mouth. First, let me say...the steak was excellent! Perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. No issues there. The rest of our order, however, was pretty bad. Not at all what I would expect from a fine dining establishment. My order of Shrimp Lady Hamilton was inedible. They were so rubbery and tough I couldnt chew it. It seemed like they were first overcooked, then reheated in the microwave. My chicken carbonara had no seasoning at all, besides whole garlic cloves and oil, it was incredibly bland. I have to say I was shocked! We spent over $200 on dinner last night and the only thing we ate was my husbands steak. You guys need to step up your pick up order game, because I highly doubt you would ever serve that food to customers you had to engage with. Do better guys!

If your looking for a 5 restaurant where you get treated like royalty this is the place. Amazing appetizers and the main courses are out of this world delicious wise. If you want to show that special someone a wonderful evening this is the place!! Hands down!!

Service is excellent but the food is pricey and, to be honest, the shrimp cocktail was on the rubbery side. The pickerel dinner was ok, nothing special and not worth $40 in my opinion.

The worst experience at a restaurant, ever. Dozens of flies buzzing around and landing on our glasses and plates, constantly interrupted by 3 different waiters for no reason at all, yet, the manager never came by after sending my food back because a fly landed on it. We were charged double for a mediocre dessert and served stale wine - the waiter made a point to tell us his opinion on stale wine and how we were wrong. A total disappointment -nobody said happy birthday to my wife, after it was specifically mentioned when making the reservation. The waiter even told me how I need to tip - not using the % button because I used a gift card... come on. Once the best steak house around, now, we wouldnt return for anything. Check out Earls down the street or Cactus Club at Sherway if you want friendly service and excellent food.

I can t thank you enough for an amazing birthday dinner. My husband had just returned from the UK after his Father passed away and under precaution quarantine. We decided to take a chance and ordered take out, the steak was amazing, melt in your mouth and cooked to perfection, the lamb was brilliant also. We loved the cheese cauliflower!

Its insanely expensive, but the quality of the food is actually great. The steak was perfectly done, the appatizers were huge and great, and the cherries jubilee were fantastic. Definitely not a frequent place to eat but for special occasions its great.

Took my clients to Lord Nelsons to celebrate the purchase of their new house. I wanted to something really nice for them and this place did not disappoint. We sat in the patio which was warm, covered and well decorated. The service was great, very nice and professional. The food was great, amazing selection and specials. The wine list was great, so much selection of great bottles. I would highly recommend Lord Nelsons.

If you want seafood or steak, this place has perfected it all. And save room for the Cherries Jubilee!! mmm Im hungry thinking about all the great food! Oh and the Lobster Bisque is to die for!!

Valentino provided an excellent performance during our desert and coffee course. He was skilled and enthusiastic. Amazing time overall! Definitely recommended!
