Our server tried her best but they were so short-staffed on a busy Saturday before Christmas that her job was impossible. Very nice restaurant. Food was atrocious -- that seafood was dry and rubbery from being very overcooked. Baklova frozen.

Too much dressing and feta cheese made it almost inedible. On the side next time. Food

Friendly staff. However, I found a piece of plastic in my rice, I mentioned it to the server. He asked me if I wanted to void the order or if I wanted the same (without plastic). I am here to eat, so I said yes. Now everyone at the table is done, and I am just starting to eat. Do you think they offered to do not pay for my plate? NO. So be aware of that.

Experiences, I have many over the past 35 years beginning on Plains Rd. Fantastic food, service, ambience (loud when full, but hey, thats Greek, enjoy!). Mata (bless me if the spelling is off), her daughters, one very special lady server whos been with them forever, and all staff including the kitchen of course, before and now are absolutely perfect. If it gets better than this, Ive not experienced it! Many thanks, well into my 4th decade of loyalty. Parking: Dine-in, take-out, lunch, dinner....it doesnt matter which - all choices are excellent! Cmon, 35+ years as a customer...love it!

Toni took care of us, she is great. Food is incredible as always. Portion sizes are HUGE. Never a wait, but be sure to book a reservation as the place is packed .

Beaitiful atmosphere! Toni our waitress was the best. Made us laugh, very attentive and really catered to our parents who were celebrating their 60th Anniversary. They were so happy leaving the restaurant. The food was excellent and large portions. Definitely going back.

I have enjoyed this place for a number of years as I would frequently order the chicken Greek salad for lunch as I worked down the road from the restaurant. I haven t been in over a year and thought I would order a chicken Greek salad for dinner and was blown away when she charged me $30 for the salad. I asked why it s so expensive she said it s more expensive after 3 pm Because it s no longer lunch time. I use to pay maybe $18 for the lunch option. I asked what is different is it bigger because it s ordered for dinner she simply stated no it s the same. I was so shocked, how can you charge almost $10 more for lettuce, a few pieces of onion maybe 3 cherry tomatoes and 2 olives just because the order is placed after 3 pm. What a rip off I won t be returning again. Overpriced and better Greek Restaurants in Burlington.

Writing this review to highlight the incredible service from server Ashely while at Sotiris recently. Customer service has tanked in the hospitality industry since COVID. Ashley was like a breath of fresh air. Incredibly attentive, helpful, friendly, funny and just sweet all around. Ashley is how all servers should be. She provided great menu recommendations and was incredibly patient during our long lunch. On the food, we miss the garlic bread, but the pita is good with the tzatziki (recommended by Ashley of course). Give Ashley a raise. We will request her as a server EVERY time we come back! :)

Food was really great, server was nice, but the tables were ridiculously sticky. Like our menu were sticking to the table so much, that they ripped. Please clean them with a better disinfectant or something. Otherwise good experience.

What a joke they messed up order and then was told they would fix it now reordered go to pick up and then they said no real sad

I came in yesterday morning to look at the menu for a larger takeout for the evening, I was met by Tony who was awesome in helping me choose and suggest different menu items. Returned later that day for my order, it was hot, fresh and delicious. Great staff here and the food is always consistent

We had a family birthday dinner for my husbands 65th birthday in the private room. There were 13 of us. The food was excellent. The service was amazing. We waited for the bill a bit, but the table service was great. All of the guests loved their dinner selections. I worked with Toni on this small event and everything was fantastic. Thank you Toni.

First time here. Shared a number of appetizers, all were very tasty. Looking forward to bringing family back here for a night out.

All your platters come with rice and potatoes nothing with just a selection of meats. You have options for vegetarian and other meatless options but you do not have options for those who are carnivore and do not eat carbs or vegetables. Will be going to Barangas as they offer a full meat platter only.

Waiting over 1.5+hrs as others that came after us, are served before us - had to ask for refills of water and cola - no refills offered afterwards - having to ask again - no additional pita slices offered - gave my wife wrong order and quickly brought out correct order (wow, how about that? So why were we waiting so long in the first place - busy, yes, so ) Food is always good, but service is sinking

The chicken was fantastic and service was great, I wouldnt recommend the peppercorn steak.

I ordered the grilled octopus for take out. What I received did not taste like octopus. I am familiar with octopus but this was not it. It tasted mealy and had a strange consistency. True Octopus has a rubbery consistency that what I was served did not have. It was tasteless and mealy. Awful. Although I paid $25 for a small tentacle, I threw it out.

It s a restaurant our family comes in the past 18 years from their original location to here. Tony is our favourite waitress, she s pretty much a family to us. We love the food and atmosphere and the service is always superb and friendly. We will keep coming back!

Removed the garlic bread - why? It was always delicious. Don t have freshly ground pepper and the large Greek salad was way smaller than normal. Service is always good, no longer is busy and now we know why.

Decided to try Sotiris out for first time for everything greek(my friend has frequented the place and spoke highly of the food, service, ambience etc) She was right on as it is a large restaurant but we found a cozy booth and settled in for some great food. Our waitress was so lovely and attentive. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and spices in different foods. The souvlaki was outstanding...generous portions with a greek salad that did not disappoint. My fired ordered her favorite...pepper chicken( not sure how greek this is) which is her absolute favorite. They have lunch and dinner size portions but she ordered the dinner so she could have some takeout for later. Sadly, we didnt have room for dessert as I imagine that would be wonderful too. We left satisfied and promised to return. Well done Sotiris!

First time coming here great for kids. Came here for my birthday. The food was delicious and my kids loved the interior and design, they thought the food was very tasty and special for the occasion. Toni was a great server and sang happy birthday, would recommend.

I went here on a date tonight and it was the worst experience Ive ever had at a restaurant. I dont want to be rude so Ill leave it at this, bad food, bad service, bad atmosphere.

Service great, however, the food wasnt as expected. The been souvlaki was too touch, that was hard to even cut it with knife. Mousakaa eas so greasy, the seafood plate was ok, but not worth the price. Overall, the restaurants atmosphere is nice and cozy, friendly staff, but I would expect delicious food there!

ordered from the Uber app, the portions were smaller except for the rice, the poor driver was confused when not all items were included and was concerned, upon calling to kindly request the restaurant to look into it, we were dismissed and asked to have Uber do a refund. They were incredibly rude over the phone. We didnt want a back and forth so we immediately accepted. It felt like they were angry about us even calling to confirm what was in the order, but we are happy we did so the driver wasnt blamed. I have never left a public review for a restaurant and this was such a wild experience for someone who ordered over 200 dollars worth of food particularly at the price point of this restaurant. I felt like I ordered food and got bullied. the food itself is good but the service is so bad.

Have been going here for years and have always loved it, went last night for the first time in a couple years (we don t live near anymore) - food was good but very disappointed that they eliminated the garlic bread, this was one of favourite parts of the meal, don t even have the option to buy it. Still loved the yummy potatoes and everything else.

This place has really great and tasty food! Only downfall was the service. Extremely slow!! We were a table of 15 people and food took almost 50 minutes to come out ...wasnt asked if I wanted a refill on my drink and when asked for the bill it took a while as well the kids were getting impatient.

Food came quickly but then our server vanished! Zero follow up for drinks, dessert, or food. Very loud, noisy, uncomfortable. We will not return. A terrible experience

I have been to this restaurant many times and recommended for a gathering last night. Although the service was fantastic, the food was not. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken however, my salad was basically onions smothered in oil. I had two cherry tomatoes and three little pieces of cucumber. For almost $30 this isn t acceptable. To drink I had an aperol spritz which was basically soda water with a touch of aperol. Hoping quality improves or unfortunately, I will not be recommending in the future.

This was our second time there. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, she was the same waitress both times. The food was very off this time around, the salad had no lettuce in it and the meals seemed to be extra oily as well as the plates were oily on the outside. The menus were in horrible condition which is kind of rude and embarrassing to give to customers. They were ripped and damaged from water spills along the edges. Sadly this will be our last time there, nothing special at all the rice is exxgrneely bland and the grilled sea food dishes are very minimal and bla nd as well.

Celebrated a milestone Birthday with a friend of mine this evening and the service was excellent. The staff was very attentive during a busy dinner service. They provided plates for our cake and sang Happy Birthday. The staff was kind to take photos for us to remember the occasion. I had the gyro dinner which is a favourite dish of mine, I ve eaten here before and I find the food to be consistently good. There is ample free parking here as well.

I ordered food from Sotiris through Uber Eats because Greek food is a family favorite! While the gyros were full of meat, and the Greek fries were good....the meal went downhill so fast as I found a thick strand of black hair at the bottom of my Greek salad container. I went from starving to no appetite in seconds. So disappointing!

Went for lunch with a friend. Very good entres. Chicken and potatoes were very flavourful. Greek salad was excellent! The Greek, white housewine was perfectly chilled and really complimented the food! Our server delivered everything to our table very promptly.

If you havent tried this restaurant you are missing a lot of flavour. Every time Im in Burlington I love to stop by this place. They have a little bit of everything so you will have plenty of options to choose from. Of course, weekends are always busy but its a fair size restaurant so you will get a table right the way.

Sotiris is one of the best Greek restaurants I have ever been to. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is delicious and the employees are excellent. Our waitress was so polite and sweet. Her name was Ashley. She was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations for food options. Her energy was upbeat and so friendly. Request to have her as your waitress when you go there!!!

Came here to celebrate my cousins baptism. Really nice place for but gatherings. Food was really really good. Authentic tasting and the options were huge! Nobody could finish an entire plate.

For years, weve cherished our experiences at Sotiris. Recently, we hosted a corporate party here. While the food consistently delights, what truly impressed us on multiple occasions was Tonis exceptional customer service. She is truly commendable. As a fellow business owner, I understand the rarity of individuals who manage your business in your absence. To the owners of Sotiris, I hope you recognize the gem you have in Toni.

Unfortunately theres not many good Greek restaurants along the golden Horseshoe area but this one is a fantastic authentic Greek restaurant.

Order grilled seafood for one.Nice pictures in advertising but reality its different....generous potatoes and rice but were its the fish...over cooked almost diapering.. shrimps over burn rest okay. Yes its expensive food in actual economy but I will never comeback for this place.

Food was amazing, portions, price taste.. as good as it was years ago on Plains rd! Our server Pedro was also excellent! Fast, efficient, friendly. All staff that we had interactions with were amazing. We were not pleased with the atmosphere of the restaurant. We havent been in a few years... but the dance music was SO loud that the patrons had to speak louder in order to hear each other. We even struggled to hear our server. I also witnessed the manager speaking harshly with the door staff. While I understand redirection and feedback is necessary, there is a better way to deliver the message, especially in front of patrons at the entrance waiting to be seated and especially to such a great and efficient staff who obviously do an awesome job.

I ve been here a number of times and never been disappointed.

Favorite family restaurant

Food was alright but Ive had frozen costco spanakopita that was better than here The service was awful, they rarely checked in on us and they forgot to put our order in. We noticed people coming in after us getting their food and we tried to call someone over, but nobody came over. I had to loudly say Excuse me to a passing waiter to finally ask where our order was, which we found out, was not even sent to the kitchen Idk if it was because we looked young or if its because we are a visible minority, but I would highly suggest eating elsewhere

I just wanted to share my recent experience at this restaurant, and I have to say, Im pretty disappointed. I used to be a regular here, but things have changed. First off, theyve increased their prices, which was a bit of a bummer. But what really got to me was when I ordered the Saganaki OPA appetizer, they started charging extra for bread! Bread used to come with it, it s a cheese appetizer. Then, I ordered a large Greek salad with chicken, and to my surprise, the chicken was cold. Not exactly what I was expecting. But the worst part was when I found a two-inch piece of plastic in my salad and actually choked on it! When I mentioned it to our waitress, she said it was probably saran wrap from overnight food storage, which made me question the freshness of their ingredients. Its just really disappointing, and now I understand why the place isnt as busy as it used to be. I asked to speak with a manager but was told they were making deliveries but they took my number down for the manager to call me .. I have yet to hear from anyone.

Great value for Great food, and great service

Nice atmosphere with dimly lit main dining hall. Ordering a platter for two may feed at least 3 people! Delicious grilled meats and appetizers. If you like uncomplicated spices that allow you to just enjoy eating, then this is a great place to visit!

Absolutely incredible restaurant. By far the best Greek restaurant I ve been to in Ontario. Portions are very generous, Gyro is nice and juicy, calamari is outstanding. Definitely worth a visit if you re in the area!

Sotiris is bomb! The decor is awesome and makes you feel very Greek! Even if according to actual Greek folk, restaurants in Greece may not all look like that, but it works for the Canadian audience!!! Servers are always friendly and helpful when it comes to the menu. The food is consistently spectacular. My now sister-in-law had her bridal shower her and I only heard good things about the food and service. I am also aware that Management has been active on social media, especially during the COVID lockdowns, and has extended their support to other local restaurants, which is wonderful community involvement. OPA!!!

Had dinner here on Friday night. We were craving good Greek food and had a recommendation to try Sotiris. The service was excellent. We got a nice comfy booth in the corner. Our server was courteous, friendly and efficient. We all had different things. I had a small pork souvlaki dish. It was excellent. Tender piece of juicy meat with nice tzatziki sauce. Rice, potatoes, Greek salad and pita bread included. Everyone enjoyed their meals and had leftovers. I had it for dinner the next night and just as good. The prices are a bit higher, but it s worth it for the amazing quality of food, the quantity of food and the fine dining experience of warm comfortable atmosphere and superb service. Will highly recommend and likely to return. Parking: Ample free parking.

We visited this restaurant for lunch. The service was excellent. The food and portions were great as well. Most of our group took leftovers home. Everyone enjoyed the meals they ordered.

Honestly my favourite Greek food in all of Burlington and possibly the GTA it is that delicious. The flavour cannot be beat. My favourite is the chicken souvlaki meal. Somehow it tastes just as good as leftovers the next day. The seasoning and sear on the chicken is top-notch. Rice and potatoes are so tasty and fresh. Tatziki - you can never have too much. Sometimes I add my salad to the left over rice and make a whole other meal with the pita bread. I will point out what others noticed, the fact that the salad only Comes with one olive. Surely they could afford to add even one more.

I ve been at this Restaurant many times over 15 years. Food is always amazing and well cooked. The portions are huge and this a nice family run restaurant. The inside is amazing with beautiful green columns and nice patio in summer. My and my family enjoy this Restaurant and we always end up leaving super full.

Absolutely one of my favorite places. Its not only the amazing food that keeps us going back, but the incredible Staff. They are super attentive to all customers. This businesss Staff works so well together as a Team.
