156 St Paul St, Burlington, VT 05401, United States
Warm, buzzy place supplying wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, farm-fresh local and Italian antipasti and craft cocktails.
The best restaurant I have been to in Vermont, the staff are very kind and knowledgeable and the food is AMAZING. This spot should definitely be in your itinerary when visiting Vermont
You can tell every ingredient is well sourced, the pizza is decent, but the freshly hand-crafted apricot jam stole the show with it's delicious and refreshing flavor! So glad the wonderful server recommended it with the assortment of bread, cheese, and olives. Without it I would have left here wanting. I enjoyed being able to see the pizza being prepared in the wood-fired oven, but with that being said I've had much better Neapolitan pizza elsewhere. I tried the diavolo and the pepperoni. Both were fresh, slightly charred, rich and layered with flavor but the crust left a lot to be desired. It wasn't strong enough to carry the rich toppings and the crust wasn't infused with flavor of it's own so it completely relied on the toppings. The servers are very attentive and well versed in the menu. This is a popular spot so I recommend making a reservation unless you'd prefer to dine at the bar. You'll find nothing but friendly patrons and good rustic Neapolitan vibes from the atmosphere and staff here.
Amazing spot for pizza and great selection of salad. The wine variety is impressive and don’t be afraid to try something new. We went with the special on the pizza and loves it.
We love their brick and mortar restaurant (have given 5 stars before) but this is for their mobile oven service, who just catered our backyard wedding on Saturday. And all I can do is heap praise on Verita's team. I was WILDLY impressed the entire time. Their coordinator, Sara, was incredibly responsive and communicative from the time we requested a quote right up until our wedding day. We had an estimate and site visit done and our date booked within about three days of contacting them. I never had any concerns or worries, Sara made sure everything was set. As far as day of goes, I can do nothing but gush about it. They backed everything up into our narrow driveway, set up in the perfect spot to have everything easily accessible (including putting a table up on our deck for appetizers), and it was a completely seamless and worry free experience. I had to do nothing except pop down the stairs and thank them. Setup, cooking, and pacing was perfection and everything was served beautifully (including an antipasti board that was a work of art). Our guests loved the food, and the team packed up a ton of leftovers. Not only that, the team was so fun, and absolutely lovely to interact with. AND it was a very competitive and affordable cost, especially considering the quality of food and level of service you get. I can't recommend them enough. (Also, side note - they are SO good about food allergies!) 10/10 would hire again, so if you're looking for catering, please reach out to them!
I have visited often and i am happy to say my experience has been consistently great! Wood fired gourmet pizza the way i always hope for. Elegant and the crust is always perfect. In between crisp and chewy. The composition of ingredients on each pie is what constitutes elegance. Just the right amount and balance of fresh ingredients. Try the Colorada salad if you love fresh beets and avocado. It is my go to! Nice selection of bourbons, however, i have been enjoying their house red Cotes Du Rhone wine. Enjoy!
Used to be my favorite pizza, bar none. Last week my pickup order was nearly 1/2 hour late, one pizza excessively charred, and the margherita pie had an underwhelming four pieces of basil. Quality and service was way off this visit. No response from staff and management. Also, I think it’s time to drop the Covid-era mandatory take-out service fee.
The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered a Moscow mule, red wine, cheese board and two pizzas. I stepped away from the bar to inform a waitress it was my girlfriends birthday. For dessert we had been brought a cannoli with a candle. Bartenders had been very friendly. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because we had been told on the phone that the restaurant was fully booked. The patio was first come first serve as well as the bar. By the time we paid, we noticed the floor was half empty but overheard that since the staff is short of staff they didn't want to seat the tables. Would of been nice to still be given a table which could of made the experience better.
Had an AWESOME time at this Neapolitan pizza shop - we cane during dinner rush and while they didn’t have any available tables, we got seated at the pizza bar and couldn’t have been any happier with the circumstances! Not only did we love our pizzas, but got to watch the pros do their thing the entire time. Staff was super friendly and chatted us up while going about their pizza making. Pizza Bianca was super flavorful and the Ring of Fire was an awesome spicy upgrade of the usual marg pizza! I’ll be back in town in about 10 days and can’t wait to dine here again!
My favorite dish is the fior di latte homeade mozzarella. Their is also phenomenal. I like the mais Pizza which comes with corn and fresh speck ham.
Probably the best pizza in Burlington. They also have a fantastic amaro selection!
Pizza was good, but pizzas were small. No mention that these are small pizzas on the website. No option to order a larger pizza. They charge a 15% take-out service fee which is BS. No mention of this on the website, no mention of this on the phone when I called to order. I wont be back.
One of the best pies I ve ever had with unmatchable service. As soon and you walk in you re greeted by Emily who will take the best care of you. 10/10. Don t be a fool. Tell Emily we said hi!
This review is for the mobile pizza oven catering experience (and not the restaurant). We had Pizzeria Verita cater our wedding fora Friday night welcome party for 100 guests, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park!! 6 stars out of 5 would recommend, you cannot beat the entire package they are offering: Sara is incredibly communicative and made the planning part a breeze, the culinary team are consummate professionals and kept the pizzas coming all night, and the pizza...OMG IT IS YUM. You cannot beat the value for money!! Honestly the Pizzeria Verita catering for our Friday event ended up being better tasting than our more formal dinner for our Saturday wedding event. Hire them!!
Solid upmarket pizza!
Delicious pizza, fast and very friendly service... A must!
Very good thin crust pizza.
Emily at the reception was amazing and very helpful
Pizza, I loved it, and the salad. But the tiramisu was a disaster! It didnt seem that contained ladyfinger but regular cake. And it was wet. Also, bland. It was not sweet, however, that I liked!
Busy times call ahead for a table. Pizza worth a wait time!
Sooooo gooood!!! Had a vegetarian pizza with basil, caramelized onions and mozzarella. The texture, the flavor... This pizza was amazing! Also had the Mediterranean olives and those were so good too! Definitely check this place out while in Burlington! Make sure you make a reservation!
Went for dinner with my wife and daughter. We had been here before and enjoyed it. This time we got our drinks at the same time as the pizza hit the table. My pizza was delicious but not as hot as expected. Collectively we were disappointed by service. The dining room was less busy than the last time we were there. I will likely try it again on another trip to Burlington.
It s my favorite restaurant in USA till now i love the food the services and everything Food
One of the better pies I ve had in VT. Really fast service too.
Excellent artisan pizza place in Burlington VT
Our waitress was over sat but still did a good job. She can run a marathon .
My favorite restaurant in downtown
My wife and I are huge fans of Pizzeria Verita and so we hired their Mobile Oven for our wedding rehearsal -- they were incredible! From the start, their team impressed us with their prompt email responsiveness and flexibility in planning. They worked with us to create a menu that was a perfect fit for our event while staying within our budget, showing genuine consideration for our needs. Many of our guests were blown away by the food, with several saying, When you said pizza, we thought it would just be regular pizza boxes, but this is ARTISAN! Every dish from the appetizers to the salads, pizza, and cake was a huge hit. Despite the stormy weather challenges of the weekend, their crew handled everything with professionalism and grace. Everything was right on time and good vibes all around. We couldn t have been happier with their service. We re so glad we chose Pizzeria Verita Mobile Oven for our rehearsal dinner. I highly recommend The Mobile Oven for any catering event, and you can bet we ll be stopping by the restaurant soon. Thank you, Pizzeria Verita, for making our event truly special!
I travel to Burlington for work every week. First time here. It was absolutely amazing. The bartenders know exactly what they are doing and are attentive and make some amazing drinks. I had an old fashioned and then their cocktail the good old clover boy and it was one of the best cocktails I have ever had. 10/10 recommendations the pizza is amazing and the vibes are their.
Excellent restaurant ! A must go in Burlington.
Solid pizza dough and crust. Toppings could be better!
Very good pizza and even better atmosphere, worth visiting in Burlington
Amazing place to eat!
The food was ok.
Delicious food (super fresh salads & pizzas were cooked perfectly!), awesome service by our server Sarah and a cool little place. Highly recommend. Our family of 6, from toddler to seniors all cleaned our plates! Thank you Sarah for being so good with our kids! Will definitely return when we come up again.
A place that advertises an entirely separate GF oven and has vegan cheese sounds perfect for our family. But their GF dough is made of wheat starch, which is NOT sufficiently free of protein for many with celiac and anyone with allergies. No sense having a dedicated space if you are using ingredients that quite possibly contain gluten (speaking as a health professional who has done the research on wheat starch ppm of gluten). Only other item available for me on the menu was a $10 salad of just greens...which came salted?!...and the salty cured meat appetizers. Huge huge let down. Please avoid if you are wheat or gluten free.
Kendra was so friendly and personable, made my experience amazing!! 10/10
Best pizza in Vermont. This is coming from a New Yorker who has tried all the pizza in NYC. My husband and I come in once every week and it never disappoints. Never gets old. Amazing place!
Ask about amaro s! Especially if seated at the bar, they have a great selection and are super passionate about it!
I ve been here twice when I ve visited Burlington, and I just have to say it s one of the best restaurants I ve ever been to. The food is incredible, such an amazing neopolitan style pizza place! Tonight I had one of the freshest, tastiest caprese salads of my life, followed by an equally good pizza. The menu, ambience, bartenders are all amazing! Looking forward to my next trip back. Highly recommend if you re in Burlington!!
Excellent gluten-free pizza!
Weve been coming here for years and love the margherita pizza - basic ingredients made to perfection. The misto salad is terrific, just enough citrus-tart dressing to bring out the flavor of the greens.
Loved the buy 1 get one . The dirty Shirley was disappointing.
The food and service is great and the atmosphere is good as you get to see them cook the food in front of you. My only problem is it opens at 5PM
great food! sarah was a very attentive server and made us feel very welcomed! would come back :)
Such great food!! Love that Verità actually offers vegan options without making annoying faces!! Maria took excellent care of us, 5 adults & 3 kiddos!! So patient and helpful! Will definitely go back! Vegetarian options: I think you have to ask if you want vegan didn t see in the menu but they do offer!!
Great service!, the waitress was perfect, very attentive! The pizza is super good, a real Italian pizza! And I can confirm it, I live near Italy If you want to go eat a pizza, don t hesitate, this is the place for you!
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service here! Do not miss their fig and blue cheese pizza, a very unique and flavorful pizza!
The most incredible pizza on Earth! Even the gluten free pizza will be the best you will ever have. Cant wait to come back!
Came from montreal for this pizza and will do it again. Incredible !! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu Food : 5/5 |
Customer service is at a high level. From the recommendations, the appetizers and the food. A pleasant and relaxed atmosphere
Nothing short of fantastic here. The service and food is impeccable.
Absolutely the best pizza and tiramisu I ve ever had! I m coming from an hour away from NYC where the pizza competition is tight and this restaurant would easily be in the top 3! Must try!
I recently dined at Pizzeria Verità in Burlington, VT, and it was a fantastic experience! The pizza was great, offering that perfect blend of flavors and crispy crust. However, the star of the meal was the Amalfi salad it was absolutely amazing! Fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for delicious food in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Pizza was good but seems way over priced for what you get and customer service was lacking . Won t go back .
Im let down that this place didnt live up to the hype. The pizza was excessively charred. The sauce was quite good, but that was about the extent of it as far as the food went. Cleanliness wasnt stellar either. I dont think Ill be back.
An authentic Italian pizza and a huge selection of amari. I m amazed!!
Had a great experience sitting at the bar recently. They were very busy but the bartender took my order as soon as she could, and she was helpful & friendly. Their selection of amari is definitely among the best in the state. I ordered the arugula salad and it was massive, with a good amount of shaved Parm and a tasty dressing. Enjoyed tasting a preview of a super good cocktail thats now on their new Spring menu, called the Bees Peas (thanks Nick!).
My grandfather loves this restaurant, we made a reservation for 5:30pm. He started to get light headed and couldn t make it in person but still really wanted a small pizza. I called to cancel the reservation and they guaranteed I could call back in 10 min and order to go. I collected his and everyone s order and call the place back. A very rude woman on the phone said that we now can t do take out and our reservation had already been given out. I tried to reason but she didn t care. Rude and unprofessional. Also really bummed out my 86 year old grandpa.
Great variety of pizza and salads. All top quality and delicious.
The pizzas are really good and the choice of toppings is good and varied.
Great pizza, great beer. Not sure what else you d expect!
Remarkable restaurant! Wonderful management, staff, and the Emily (server) is the best!! We come for both the amazing pizza and the service from Emily. The gluten free crust is very possibly the best in the world. Being Gluten free, I have tried dozens of pizza restaurants with gluten free crusts around the world, and this is bar none the most amazing GF crust anywhere. It is better than most regular crusts. How do you chefs do it at your restaurant? Youre all insane genius to come up with this gluten free crust, and the mozarella and toppings are fantastic as well. Congrats! Thank you and look forward to many years of pizzaing (is that even a verb?) at your cozy restaurant and working with Emily.
Very possibly the best gluten-free pizza I have had in the last 20 years since being diagnosed. My husband said he wouldnt have known it was gluten-free if I hadnt told him. Dietary restrictions: They have a dedicated oven for GF pizza!
Great pizza! Amazing vegan options!
Authentic Italian pizza! Have been searching for real Italian pizza for a long time, finally found it. Excellent pizza.
Innovative pies. Opted for the thin crust con funge and it did me righteous!
Fantastic fresh ingredients, the fresh mozzarella is out if this world its often very busy in the evenings, especially weekends, reservations recommended
Pizza was fantastic Great atmosphere Food
Outstanding food and service. Brittany has created a wonderful atmosphere for dining in and takeout.
Everything is incredible!!!!!
The best gluten free pizza I have ever had! I was overjoyed (as a Celiac) to see that I could have pizza without any worries of cross contamination! Dietary restrictions: Pizzeria Verità has a dedicated stove and prepping area separate from the main kitchen for gluten free pizzas.
Great pizza, service, and atmosphere. Quick, friendly, and efficient. Knowledgeable wait service, tasty drink menu, Did I mention the za? Dietary restrictions: Vegan options for pizza
Sitting at the bar, best pizza, great service & conversation. Thanks for a great Amoro tasting!
We stopped by here at 4:30 on a Sunday. We realized as soon as we walked in that the restaurant wasnt ready for service (we know 4:00 - 5:00 is usually prep time and took a chance since we were starving). HOWEVER - the hostess walked across the room and was so, so welcoming, and recommended making a reservation for 5:00. Thank goodness she did, because when we came at 5:00, there was a line and the restaurant got packed fast. Our waitress was amazingly polite, attentive, and had great recommendations. We had the cheese board to start and everything on it was incredible. I mean, you think an olive is just like any other olive until you taste a real good olive. There were a bunch of those real good olives on this board. The pizza, of course, is phenomenal. They had a great selection of unique combinations. I got the diavola, which had the perfect amount of spice, great crispy crust, and delicious soppressata. As we were waiting for dessert, I think we had cranky New Englander faces on (in reality, we were just content and warm), and one of the hostesses stopped by at our table and asked if we were being taken care of. We said yes, we are ALL good, but it was nice to know that they were so perceptive.
Absolutely delicious pizza. This was my first time and I was not disappointed. The crust bubbles, the perfect char, it all came together. My family loved it.
Amazing food and drinks. Can be slightly noisy during peak times. Moody lighting and an upscale feel. If you can fit it, try the tiramisu, its amazing. Parking: Decent amount of paid street parking, and a nearby paid garage.
Every bite was delicious! The servers were kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend any of the pizzas but was blown away by the mais.
We had a long day and wanted to grab a pizza and bring it back to our hotel. We thought we d have a drink while we waited for the pizza. The place was packed and there was clearly no place for to sit but the hostess very sweetly made a place for us at the chairs meant for waiting for your table. She brought our drinks and the pizza was ready quickly. It was really good pizza and, if we hadn t been so tired, we d have enjoyed sitting and eating. A very warm and welcoming restaurant with a friendly staff and a great pizza!!
Oh so good - post pizza happy girlfriend Food
This place SUCKED. Got takeout and the pizza was cold and the gluten free pizza was not good. The gluten free pizza was barely cooked with the cheese and pasta. The other pizza was very well done. NEVER ordering here again.
Really tasty.
To my taste, it was the best pizza (margherita) Ive had in Burlington!
Amazing pizza and equally great cocktails
Za was great, but the mozz stole the show.
Ughhhh I hate to do this. We have been loyal to this place for years now. However, the GF pizza has gone downhill significantly. Pictured are a couple we have gotten recently. The browner crust photo was supposed to have extra cheese and sausage. Instead, I got a burnt crust, barely any sauce, and no sausage (paid $4.50 upcharge for the sausage total for pizza cost over *$27*). There is also an extra 15% service gratuity now added too to every takeout order, which would be fine, but the food needs to not be giving plus-sized Lunchable. This time, it really didn t even taste good at all. I sent them an email a few months back to bring it to their attention, but unfortunately the issue hasn t been remedied. I am always happy to pay for good food, but I feel really ripped off. I also feel it is important to be honest and transparent so other GF people can know where everything stands at local restaurants especially since we are all always upcharged everywhere we go regardless of quality.
Just wow Pizza options...plenty of starters... awesome service and great ambience
Highly recommend!!! They catered for Black Experience VT 2023 and it was AMAZING!! Even just the samplings we got blew me away. We will definitely be heading here for dinner very soon.
The service was impeccable. The staff is friendly, patient, and helpful. The food was great. My gf and I had the beet salad then shared the pizza Diavola, and the Pizzarao. The crust was thin like other Napoletana places however it was fluffy which made every bite delightful. The tiramisu was moist, and flavorful. The crushed chocolate on top was a nice addition to the cocoa powder. If youre going to Vermont, do yourself a favor, and get a reservation at this place. Oh, and if you get seated at the pizza bar you get to watch them prepare the pizzas. Lastly, the dim lighting makes this place cozy and romantic.
What a gem among the excellent Burlington dining scene! Great neopolitan style pizza, nicely decorated interior, and great staff. Was very impressed and would return. Their digestivo collection is impressive as well! Parking: Not much on block but lots of parking in the public Burlington garages.
Seriously some of the best pizza I ve ever had. The crust was chewy and thin, so delicious. For the 5 of us we got 4 pies, the pepperoni, butternut squash, corn, and the mushroom truffle special. I don t even have a favorite they were all fantastic. Also make sure you get the Nutella dessert.
I cant say much more than all the other glowing reviews here. Theres a lot of good pizza in Burlington and somehow we hadnt heard of Verita until now. When I hear pizzeria I dont think lively datenite hotspot (more red n white checkered tablecloths, kids, possibly saw dust on floor-- cause Im old) but Pizzeria Verita was a trendy spot with atmospheric lighting, good drinks, and food. Service was attentive and quick and the charcuterie and cheese boards were thoughtfully assembled. The prices reflect the upscale, finer dinning. The pizza wasnt my favorite in Burlington but tasty. Chewy crust, fresh toppings, a thin bottom that was a little too soft--couldnt pick a piece up without two hands soft. Well be back. Dietary restrictions: Lots of veggie and gf options
Great service from the host station to the wait staff. This might seem like a minor thing, but the wait staff really hit the perfect balance between not coming to our table too often but definitely being there when we wanted them to. Food was amazing. The house spicy sausage was delicious and we really enjoyed our cocktails.
Tasty Pizza choice. The Pizza Nutella was a great dessert to share.
Incredibly happy here. Service was good, pizza was phenomenal, and the drinks were tasty. I was happy surprised to find that they have some more spirit forward cocktails. We had the bullet train to Tokyo (very ginger forward without being very sweet) and the Brooklyn to Burlington (a bit like a non sweet Manhattan). The margarita pizza was amazing. We may go back another day in a row. Definitely go here if you like neopolitan pizza.
Ive been frequenting Verita enough to say that Im a regular now. This place feels like family and you have just come home after a long time. Great atmosphere adds to the charm and tude isnt even in the vocabulary here. I rarely give 5 stars, but when credit is due...... Enjoy your meal! Kid-friendliness: Even with a well appointed bar Verita offers a comfortable family atmosphere. Please bring the whole fam.
Best pizza in Burlington.
Atmosphere very nice and waitstaff attentive. The pizza dough was undercooked on parts and burned on others. But still overall the food quality was good.
Great food and great environment. On our last visit, we saw people in tuxedos and people in jeans and t-shirts. Everyone enjoys Pizzeria Verita. There is a pepperoni with optional hot honey that is fantastic. Other interesting pizzas we tried are Mais (with corn) and the Ring of Fire.
Best pizza in burlington! The cocktails were excellent as well.
Loved the vib pizza tasty
Some really good pizza in Burlington. The service was great as our waitress was friendly and they got the pizza out to us very fast. A Neapolitan style pizza with house made mozzarella and a doughy crust. Personally, I like the cheese to cover the entire slice rather than just a few spots, but as a fan of thick crust pizza I thought it was fantastic. I got the Capricciosa which was quite tasty. Good location in Burlington, making it easy to walk around and explore.
Racism at its peak, being a brown man out there with my girlfriend who s apparently white they literally racially profiled me, I mean I get the country vibes but the bartender was immensely rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend it.
We are visiting from DC and heard rave reviews of this place - and it did not disappoint! The cheese board, salad, and pizza were so good, cocktails were super inventive and delicious (we had one involving mustard and soy sauce that was SO GOOD). We ate outside and the service was excellent. This was our favorite AND least expensive dinners while in Burlington.
Margherita pizza was delicious! Best pizza I have had in a long time!
All the reviews are spot on. Pizza is tasty and there are a lot of interesting variations. I highly recommend the meatballs they too were very tasty with a great sauce. And we polished it off with some tiramisu which was not your typical but still very tasty. Special touch is the dried flowers in the bathroom and the friendly wonderful people.
We ordered delivery of a pepperoni pizza and a Cesare salad. The pizza crust was overworked and extremely tough and chewy and the sauce had little flavor. If it wasnt for the pepperoni, there wouldnt have been any flavor. The salad was nothing but lettuce, two anchovies, and two tiny pieces of focaccia. This was a very expensive lesson to learn that such a place that was listed as one of the best pizzas in Burlington was pretty much hype. We are supposed to get a refund of the order but it cant be processed until tomorrow for some reason. Weird that, but well see.
We had the margherita pizzas for dinner and the Nutella pizza for dessert. The margherita pizza was a traditional doughy pizza. The tomato sauce was nice and fresh tasting. The Nutella pizza was cooked very well and nice and crispy edges, loaded with a lot of Nutella! No complaints here, I love Nutella. Overall nice little pizza spot, romantic spot for a dinner date.
Absolutely phenomenal restaurant. Great food and service. Drinks were great too.
Very slow delivery and arrived luke warm. Pizza was just okay
Delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. The salads are big enough to share. Get the antipasti, you wont regret it.
Dietary restrictions: Great at a cow dairy allergy Food
truly fantastic pizza
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options Food
Always an amazing experience every time we go. Amazing food, amazing service. Favorite place to go to treat myself and my girlfriend in Vermont.
I ate here last week for my daughters birthday. I enjoyed one of the best gluten-free pizzas I have ever had and I will return. Service was great. My only complaint is it was so noisy, it impeded normal conversations.
Got a Marg pizza here while in Burlington, visiting from Buffalo. I wish we had a neapolitan pizza this good in my hometown. We have one place that comes close, but nothing like this. Food : 5/5
Excellent food and excellent service!
Stopped in for a quick meal. What a great experience all around!! Friendly and knowledgeable host, bartending, and wait staff. Creative cocktail menu and great beer selection. The meatball appetizer with freshly baked focaccia and margherita pizza were delicious. Will definitely be back to try some of the more creative menu offerings.
My wife is from Bolzano, Italy and I lived there for 12 years. Every time we eat at Verita it feels like we are right back there...it is the real deal! Definitely pricey compared to what we are used to paying when back in Italy, but definitely worth it every once in a while, to give us that feeling of home!
Pizzeria Verita did the catering and bar for our son s wedding. They were absolutely wonderful! The appetizers were phenomenal and the wood fired pizzas creative and delicious. The staff was kind and courteous and the chefs amazing. Bartenders were skilled and friendly. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you for a great event!!
Good pizzas even if the white pizzas lack a little sauce. The dough was excellent. The service was very long.
Excellent food and service. The pizza is the absolute best neapolitan pizza in the area. All the deserts are to die for. The prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend and visit again!
Reminded me of Naples. Pricey, but we left stuffed. Family of four on three pies. But my son didnt eat, so we had extra to nibble on. Oh, picky eaters what they miss out on, huh? Great service. Menu had a yummy sounding brown ale, but they were out.
They were already full, we didnt have any reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. Pizza was excellent. Friendly service. Reasonably priced.
He food was amazing. A lot of people on the street recommended me this place and it did not let me dial the manager. Upfront was awesome. The servers were great. I really had a great time.
Picked up a to-go order. 2 pizzas, the SALSICCIA E FUNGHI was my choice. It was delicious. The crust was thin and chewy, perfect wood-fired. I opted for the fennel sausage, mild and flavorful. Also, the Caesar salad was incredibly fresh. Sop up your leftover salad with the focaccia. Youll thank me. Look, its so good I stopped between slices to post a review. Update to come for the tiramisu Tiramisu update. It was tasty, bitterswee t which I like. I wasnt in love with the layered chocolate chunks. But, come on theyre chocolate chunks. How bad can they be?
Authentic Neapolitan style pizza (and thats coming from an Italian ), fast and good service and cool atmosphere. Tiramisù cake was good as well, and pretty authentic. Definitely recommended Food : 5/5
Amazing pizza, great drinks to go with it. Service was really good.
We are pizza snobs from New York and Chicago... And we loved this place. The pizza was perfectly cooked and delicious.... So good that we ordered a second pizza after finishing the first. The meatballs had a nice Italian flavor and texture, and mixed with the marinara was perfection. Not over or under seasoned, just right. Kudos to our server, Manny, who was so cool to everyone.
We always come here when we are visiting Burlington. The pizza is sooo good! My husband gets the regular crust, and I need to get the gluten free one, and honestly, the GF one is so good, you think perhaps there was an error in the order and they gave you a wheat crust. Youd never know its gluten free. I dont know how they did this, but a huge round of applause to them, as many GF pizza crusts are like crackers. They achieved a puffed edge on the crust, just like a wheat one would have. Leftovers heated up very well in my convection toaster oven. Love the vibe of the place, great wines and appetizers, too
Pretty good Neapolitan pizzas, not outrageously priced.
Wonderful antipasti but walked out after waiting 1 hour for pizza and never getting it. Waitsaff was slow and there was a takeout order for 15 pizzas which kept everyone in the restaurant waiting for their own food. Management apologized but offered no discount for the wait. I was there for my birthday meal and unfortunately it soured my experience.
This place is an absolute gem! If you re planning for a group you need to get a reservation. If it s only a couple people there is seating at the bar that opens up pretty quick. The pizza is absolutely phenomenal and one pizza was plenty for the two of us. If you re having a few beverages we would recommend the old fashion.
Great wood oven pizza with unique flavors
Great food and atmosphere, sadly the service has declined over the last year or so. Hard to track down a waiter and takes awhile to even get water brought to the table at time
Best of the best of the best. Butternut squash white pie. Holy moly. Rocket salad, yes please. Carafes of house draft wine, HOLY HELL. Casual, fun, our go to date spot. Vegetarian options: Yum
Possibly the best pizza youll ever eat. Go for the RING OF FIRE. Awesome.
Delicious pizza with creative toppings. Caesar salad was tasty if a bit simple (just lettuce and dressing). Very attentive and friendly service. The tiramisu is better than most Ive had.
The best restaurant in Burlington, hands down and thumbs up! Youll absolutely find the best taste in a variety of fresh flavors throughout a Mediterranean culinary perspective. Simply amazing. Please take the chance to enjoy a fun, charming atmosphere as well, therell be live jazz on Thursday nights.
Ordered the cherry amore and pepperoni pizza. It was a hit with the whole family, including the kiddos. Ended with a Nutella pizza. Delish. Service was quick. Only complaint was that we got our food before our drinks.
A very cozy vibe. They had vegan cheese as well so that was awesome. Great crusts, fun to sit at the bar & watch the pizza makers work. We went on 2 for 1 margherita night. Vegetarian options: They also have vegan cheese Dietary restrictions: They also have vegan cheese
Nice staff. Good pizza. Fair selection of beers on tap. Dessert was excellent.
Honestly I couldn t be happier. My wife and I had a great time. Will was very nice. He didn t come over too often which is perfect. He explained all of the items and told us about the cheeses. He recommended beer from their list and also helped with our pizza choice. Overall everything was perfect. No wait, we were seated right away. We had our mask on until we were seated. Other than that no problems in regards to masks. Overall 100/100. Thanks Will. We appreciate it very much.
Wonderful gluten free pizza thats actually celiac safe! We make an effort to stop every time were near Burlington.
The service was exceptional, the vibe was fun and cozy, the waiters were all friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu, and the appetizers were all incredible. The fior di latte is made in house and comes with their scratch made Focaccia. Both the cheese, and the bread are INCREDIBLE. The meatballs are also very good- but not life changing. The pizza is honestly the only thing that wasnt great. We got 2 pizzas, and on both of them, the dough was raw in the center. Im not sure if it was an off night with the oven. But it was a bit disappointing
Absolutely amazing! I 100% recommend you check this place out, the pizza is amazing and the homemade mozzarella is delicious.
Staff was excellent. Pizza crust is underwhelming. I had the gluten free one, and others had the regular crust - neither were great and tended to be a little too blackened on the edges by the wood fire oven.
Superb Neapolitan style pies with high quality ingredients and good service. A nice wine list too.
I highly recommend this pizza place. Pizza Mias is the best pizza.
Great Pizza, It was buy one get one free margarita pizza night so it was cheaper. it was really good
Is very nice! Great atmosphere! I love coming here! One of my favorite pizza places!
We have lived in Vermont, NYC and beyond and this is by far the best pizzeria we have ever been to. From the craft drinks to the charcuterie to the pizza and generous salads, this is our favorite spot in Vermont and beyond. The atmosphere is chic yet casual, the food is delicious yet unassuming and I would eat here every night if I could. I enjoyed it so much I didn t even take photos.
One of the best pizzas Ive ever had in my life! Excellent service, reasonable prices, you can add ingredients that are of great quality by the way, super fast and friendly service and there is takeout... A place that is undoubtedly very worth it if you are in Burlington Vermont and there are so many options that you dont know which one choose. If you intend to serve during peak dinner hours, reservations are recommended, but if there are seats available, rest assured they will find a place for you. One of the best pizzas I have ever!! Excellent service, good prices and you can add ingredients which are great quality, the service is super fast and they have to go. A must do!!! If you are in Burlintong Vermont and there are many options if you dont know where to go. If you intend to attend during dinner time I recommend to make a reservation but if they have availability they will find a place for you for sure!.
After calling last minute we were able to snag a table for two from the FCFS availability , as this was a busy evening in burlington. Our server was attentive, prepared and resourceful. We told him that we were trying to make a show at the Flynn within the hour (as we re a few other tables) and he ensured us we would be taken care of in time. He was able to deliver, and all said and done it was a reasonable price for fantastic food, with excellent service and all expertly timed. We left full and happy and immediately joined the line for the Flynn s admittance right outside the restaurant.
First time visit was a memorable one. The waitress was extremely professional and very accommodating to our requests. The salads were delicious and tasted fresh. Our pizzas tasted authentic and savory. Their desserts were just as good as the food, maybe even better. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable and employees all seem happy. This is a great place. Will be back.
Good pizza, nice vibe, excellent bartenders.
Ordered takeout that took an additional 30 mins to cook after I showed up, except when I got it home it was ice cold like it came out of the freezer. Smelled terrible when we opened it so we disposed of it. I called and the person that answered thought it was funny. I d avoid this place unless you want to get sick. Our dogs even took a sniff and said no way
We love Pizzeria Verità! I always order the colorata salad with fresh avocado slices, micro greens, tricolor beets in citrus vinaigrette dressing and a side of mozzarella best salad ever! Thin wood fired crust pizza with many options and amazing craft cocktails too! Almost a weekly stop for us
Pizza was very tasty! They had a lot of vegetarian options which we appreciated. Our favorite was the ring of fire. The only bad thing was that towards the end the crust is very hard a chewy, so it kind of made my jaw hurt!!! For dessert we got a Nutella thing they have and it was great!
Great atmosphere, delicious pizza, excellent drink menu! Highly recommend.
Delicious Neapolitan-style pie. Their Nduja pizza is very mild, especially against the backdrop of the sweet tomato base. This typical Calabrian sausage should be much spicier. That said, the dough and other toppings were spot on. My pie had a slightly overcharred cornicione as pictured, but it was OK for the rest of the group.
Brilliant pizza. Crust is perfect. Attentive and engaging service. Had a flight of three amaro with input from server, which was excellent. A fantastic experience overall, so much more than just a pizza.
Amazing pizzas
Outstanding. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. The food was fresh and delicious. Salads were generous and filled with crisp taste. The charcuterie plate had some excellent options on it. And there are so many pizzas to choose from- all with excellent flavors. There are options to satisfy both carnivores and vegetarians.
Came here for dinner and was not disappointed! Got the meatballs as an appetizer and the pepperoni pizza with hot honey (might be the best pizza we ve ever had). Atmosphere and service was great, no complaints.
The corn pizza was delicious and the crust was perfect. The salads were a bit disappointing.
Looking for good pizza in VT? You ve found it. Look no further. Great service/atmosphere too. Will definitely be back
Big fan of the pizza at Verita! Dont sleep on the mais and diavola pies! So good!
Awesome service and great food. We tried the blue cheese lemon zest pizza and the arugula, tomato and cherry pizza, would absolutely recommend both, but especially the cherry one.
Italians hurry! The best mozzarella in a long time, nduja more than right and pizza worth returning to, wood-fired properly. Pleasantly surprised to find a place like this in Vt.
Ive been here only a couple of times, but both times were great. Awesome server (I had the same excellent guy both times), and delicious pizza.
Pizzeria Verità is a great spot for pizza in Burlington. We actually tried to get pizza from our usual spot but the wait was 45 minutes so we decided to get a table here. We were seated immediately. The atomosphere inside was nice and the service was fast, our 3 pizzas arrived after about 15 minutes. They were delicious and Melanzana (Eggplant), Capricciosa (Artichokes, olvies and tomatoes), Sausage and broccoli rabe. The dough was fantastic and perfectly baked in a wood fire oven. The toppings were delicious and the ingredients felt very Italian. The pizzas were about 12 inches so I advise each person get their own and you can trade if desired among your friends to try the other pizzas. It was a great experience and we will certainly return again soon!
My wife with celiac was deeply appreciative of your dedicated gluten-free oven, and says it was the best GF pizza shes ever had! Also super great service from Jordan and nice atmosphere. Buy one get one pizza was an amazing value! Dietary restrictions: Celiac-friendly
Deliciously creative pizza, served in a stylish setting. Highly recommended!
Italian certified pizza! All their options are very good, highly recommend but it is a little bit pricy
Awesome Pizza and Drinks!!!
Things we loved: Their gluten-free options! Not only is there a GF crust, but they also offer a dedicated GF oven for 3 of their pizzas, very thoughtful! Our server was very lovely, I wish we had gotten his name so we could give him the props he deserves! He was young, had a great personality, knew the menu well, and knew when to interject and when to walk away. In other words, he knew how to read the table which was greatly appreciated. The atmosphere was great, we loved the intimacy and lighting of the front room. It was a little loud in there, but not a big deal. The cocktails were ON point! They were creative and delicious, and the presentation was a treat. Our beet salad was also delicious! The richness of the avocados and the texture of the microgreens complimented the beets perfectly. The Mais pizza was fun because of its unique flavors, the topping combination was definitely something I had never had before or would think to make. We were very pleased with this choice. And... we were there on a Wednesday, which is the 2-for-1 Margherita Pizza deal! Which of course we participated in... Things that could be improved: The topping spread on both the Mais and Margherita did not reach the edges of the pizza, actually, it was quite sparse along the edge of the Margherita, with a 1.5 space between the topping and the edge of the crust in some areas. When you have a 12 pizza, that is a good amount of topping-free real estate. As a pizza enthusiast, the toppings near the crust edge are something I always look out for. We are gluten-free, so we ordered the GF crust. Now in Pizzeria Veritas defense, their regular crust edge bubbles up. I assume the kitchen team is trained to place a certain amount of topping on each pizza to accommodate the rising crust. And this makes sense for the regular crust, but there doesnt seem to be any adjustment to their methods for the GF crust that does not rise at the edge. So instead, the GF Margherita pizza looked sparse and thrown together when it arrived at our table. We also ended up not eating the topping-less edges (about ¼ of the pizza) since it was really just a plain, thick, chewy cracker. (The pizza below shows one of the better slices.) Margherita pizzas generally have 3 main ingredients: tomato (in some form), mozzarella, and basil. There was very little basil on our pizza, maybe 3 basil leaves on the entire pizza. Since this 12 pizza has 3 main ingredients and costs ~$18 (over $22 with a GF crust), I would hope some more basil could be spared in the future Margherita pizzas. Although mozzarella is delicious, the basil is what really brings the flavor party! Overall we had a good time and we really appreciate the things we loved about our visit. When we go out to eat we always ask ourselves, would we return? And we both decided we would not return, it was a fun experience and a great one and done for us.
Loved it! Specially their Nutella pizza!
Food was awesome, service even better
We stopped by on our honeymoon, and had the luck to get sat at the end of the bar with Paul (one of too highly adept bartenders in the midst of a steady rush). The staff was super kind and having worked in the service industry a fair bit, were friendly with each other, and helping out with shared work - just reading the room well and keeping waht would be a chaotic night at most places down to a smooth, dull, super tasty roar. The food was exceptional (we each had a different salad, split a plate of mind melting meatballs, and downed a pizza in record time, all of which came at perfect intervals), and specifically the beer selection and amazing cocktail Paul threw down stood out, topped off with the most balanced, perfect tiramisu Ive ever had. Great mix of folks of all ages, and great energy - coupled with super cool humans? Definitely going back before we head home. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Seemed to be plenty of faire for vegetarian/pescatarian palates. Kid-friendliness: There were tons of happy families and while they were having loud, boisterous family times, the acoustics are well enough damped that its more an added bit of life to the spot!
Great crust, great pizza
Authentic Pizza Napolitana!!!!!! Good Drinks! Handsome Bartenders! Parking: Street parking short walk through downtown Burlington. Kid-friendliness: Sure Wheelchair accessibility: Nope.
It was cozy, the food was tasty, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was exceptional. I went on a date and my partner picked this place. Upon entry, they checked our reservation and we were promptly seated. The menus were a little obscure in the sense they used a lot of foreign proper nouns for assorted ingredients. Allowing a small corner of one of the pages of the menu to list definitions for more commonly asked ingredients would be well appreciated. The service was thorough and courteous, but not overbearing. I digress, Im not one who claims any degree of mastery in The culinary arts. All I know is that the pizza I was served was delivered piping hot, tasty, and running about $15 for a personal sized margherita. Maybe a tad expensive, but not enough for me to raise a significant complaint, given all the other positives.
Just a couple of blocks from the Church Street Market a pleasant comfortable setting. Visiting from Massachusetts, we were looking for something different. We ordered the Amalfi salad, arugula with pear, gorgonzola and walnuts. A generous portion to share and delicious. Then we had a butternut squash pizza. Unusual and again delicious. The crust was not as crispy as we would have liked, but still had a nice charred flavor. Service was great. Ani, our server was friendly and answered our questions.
woo hoo
We strolled in late on the evening we arrived in Burlington. We had no expectations just looking for something to eat and we were blown away! The drinks were on point, pizza was delicious and the BEST tiramisu ive ever had. We will be back!
Good food, service, and atmosphere all around. I like this place. High end pizza. Vegetarian options: Several options for non meat pizza Dietary restrictions: They have great gluten free pizza
Best pizza in town. We had margarita with mushrooms and ring of fire and it was soo good. We also tried fresh mozzarella and the cheese board and it was also amazing. For dessert we tried cannoli and that also tasted yummy. Will definitely come again. And of course the waiter and the service was amazing too even though it was a busy night.
