Great place to catch a soccer game

Stopped by here on a Friday night. The host who greeted us, Tushar, was really friendly and promptly seated us at what we thought were the best seats in the house! Big table with a round booth right by the kitchen entrance where servers were going in and out. Unfortunately that s where our service ended, after we were sat, we had at least 4 different servers pass by our tables and not once ask if we ve been taken care of- for at least 15 minutes. Just as we were getting ready to try our luck elsewhere, Tushar stopped by on his way to the kitchen and asked if we were taken care of. We alerted him that we still hadn t been visited by our server. He promptly took our drink order and a server was with us shortly after. Drinks were amazing and the nachos were okay as well. Our server applied a 15 percent discount to our bill to acknowledge the wait which we appreciated. Tushar really saved our experience that evening, and turned what could have been a real disappointment of a date night into a win.

Amazing staff, great food and awesome atmosphere.

The bartender, Tosha, was very friendly and helpful, there was a fair selection of beer, and the food was amazing.

Great atmosphere, but respectively the menu mostly fried food and our experience was a bit lack luster...... Very Well Used oil == dark fried food. We had ordered the calimari, which was rubbery, and served with a mayonnaise heavy tar tar sauce, no lemons in sight.

Went there for lunch, they offer three course meals for a good price. The head chef was very nice and gave us free dessert.

Fish was overcooked, Fries nothing special looked like yesterdays. Buffalo chicken was good but not really and Buffalo sauce. We will not come back.

Squires Pub is fantastic! Tushoir, the master bartender, blew us away with his creative and personalized cocktails, and Nika s service as a host was equally amazing. Together, they made the night unforgettable with their warm, attentive care. Highly recommend for a top-tier bar experience!

Good family restaurant, plenty of parking and staff is very friendly.

I ordered door dash at 10:07 pm at this restaurant , they proceeded to accept my order and at 10:42 they canceled it ! I called and asked why and they said the kitchen was closed ! I asked when it closed they said 10:30 if I ordered at 10:07 then the kitchen wouldn t have been closed . And for that reason I m giving a one star review

Our waitress Nikky was fantastic and the food was top notch. Ribeye was melt in your mouth and the atmosphere is so beautiful. We will definitely see you guys soon. Cheers

Had an amazing time at Squires Gastro Pub! The ambiance is incredible, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The menu offers a fantastic variety. I highly recommend it!! You wont be disappointed.

The waitress was friendly. The food took an hour to come and was wrong. Fish and chips was good, but other items questionable. Chow mein dry and hardly any vegetables. The pub its self has lost all character following the renovations! Highlighted issues to the manager and she took the item off the bill.

Food a bit pricey, but good. Big menu. Would be nice if there was just a good, plain burger option. Had the Juicy Lucy burger which was a double Pattie! Luckily my server, Kim, cautioned me on the size of the meal. Well, I have half my meal in a box for takeout. Thanks Kim! Food

I will start by saying, the rennovations at this place look incredible. Nice to see the friendly faces of the staff that are still with the company, but there were some issues with lunch service today. Our server seated my and my coworker quickly (which was ideal with us being on lunch break) and we ordered a drink and took a moment with the menus. We had ordered our lunch by 12:30 and noted that other tables around were getting seated. Looked like a really great lunch service. My first red flag was seeing that the couple that was seated in front of us was served their food before us... the same happened with a single woman that was seated after the fact. After almost 50 minutes the manager approached us and let us know that there would be a wait for the food. We said it was fine in the interest of being accomodating. It took us almost 90 minutes to get our food... no compensation for our time, no offers or reconcilliation. Just a sorry. I hope your boss understands. I will not be returning. Great place to eat if you have 2 hours to burn... Sucks because I really wanted to have a good experience.

Just look at the wine prices. Crazy! For the price they could have made a better selection.

Soup of the day was not ready for lunch menu. I would presume the soup of the day would be ready for the day.. My meal was cold when it came to the table.

Place looks amazing BUT the food was horrible... Warm at best and completely lacking in flavor I appreciate the offer from Squires, but Im going to pass. I just dont think my family would want to go back.

My wife and I just happened to stop in on a Monday, and we have to admit this place is awesome, everything is on point. I had the lamb shank and it was absolutely delicious, my wife had the fish and chips this in turn was fantastic, unfortunately she did mention that the red cabbage coleslaw could have been been better. All and all we would recommend this establishment, it was delicious.

The waitress and chef were super accommodating with a large group that came for breakfast. We had a time constraint and we were in an out with time to spare. Food was fantastic and price was very reasonable. This place exceeded my expectations.

Had a date night here on the patio. Really nice vibes, amazing food. We had the Chimichurri Fish Tikkas, Sweet Potato Fries and Pesto Gnocchi. All the food was prepared to perfection. Oz was a very attentive host and checked in on us often. Will definitely visit again.

Haven t been here in years and popped in on a whim. Pleasantly surprised about the new Reno s Secondly the food was superb, we planned on going for an app and ordered entrees. Will be back very soon, thank you!

First time trying out this hidden gem! Cauliflower soup was amazing , and their chips ( fries) were so good. Tried a garlic aioli which was so good! Bartender with Red/Ginger hair was very nice, attentive and on top of it! Service was great ! She makes a great Margarita. Thank you !

Love the upgrade to this place. Food, decor, and prices are all on point. Kid-friendliness: Good portions for the kids and price is reasonable. Only recommendation would be to have smaller cups for kids. It was a big tumbler glass and quite heavy. Food : 5/5 |

Had lunch at the newly renovated Squires Gastro Pub and will certainly be returning. The food was great and our server Kim was full of personality and efficient. The Reno s themselves look fantastic. I look forward to my next visit.

We went back after their recent renovation. It looks nice enough. We were seated on the patio. After having a number of good experiences over the past couple of years (posted a positive review previously) we were expecting something similar. The website doesnt show pricing and now I know why. Pretty much everything is over-priced to fine dining levels. No one came to the table after several minutes so we got up and left and had a very good, realistically priced meal elsewhere. We wont be back.

First visit after renovation. Walls and separation between booth have been removed to create a more open looking and larger feeling space. Material used seem to be higher end with nice covering over benches and seats. Not everything is well though out however. We sate in a semi circular booth with a square table which was awkward and not as comfortable as it could have been. If you like the cosyness , privacy and and sound dampening provided by a booth then this is not for you. Appetizer prices are high , 22-23 $ for six pieces of brushetta , 16-16-17 $ for a Ceaser salad (just noted the price , didnt order) Onion ring were reasonable at only about $7 (and they were hot and quite good). Entre prices are in line with what I expect to pay now days with a lot of choices , but the portion size that we received was tiny. I am not sure if this is %100 deliberate or a result of the choice of the style of China that was used. We each had the butternut squash ravioli, wish was good not great and was so small I didnt require an extra pint with my meal. I felt a bit taken advantage of and opted to leave a bit hungry and have a snack and drink at home instead of getting something extra. Service was very good with the server being attentive. 2 Drinks , an appetizer, a side and two of the lower priced entrees are about $100 which is in line with other prices in the area but the small portion sizes and poor acoustics mean I will not be returning soon. One other comment, they do not post their prices on their website which also annoys me.

If you are looking for a phenomenal dining experience.. look no further than Squires. We absolutely loved the ambience live DJ and music. The staff was super nice and friendly.Drinks, food and desert were top notch. They do have some signature drinks and dishes which are worth trying. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic decor.. very classy and great vibe. The cocktails are top class and worth trying! I have never seen such an amazing presentation of cocktails The menu is varied and suits a variety of palettes. Avocado chaat is a must. I highly recommend Squires and look forward to going back again! Food

have been a long time customer of Squires Pub. We went to see new renovated space. It is very bistro like and not crazy about the decor. They are trying to cater to a younger crowd and the bar will be their cash source, if people show up. The biggest disappointment was to discover the beef dip is no longer on the menu. They are not serving breakfast ... not sure about if and when they will serve breakfast. Been there 2x and there were not a lot of people as in the good old days. Two older ladies walked in sat down and then decided to leave. We will not be back as well. Prices for food have gone up as well! So sad I miss the pub.

I wish I could give lower stars. I was in shock from the renovations and man oh man has it ever changed. The chicken was okay but everything else we got, we were not impressed with (tomato soup, butternut squash ravioli, truffle fries, and Shepards pie). We had to pay a lot of money for this disappointing dinner. We come here all the time and bring our families here every month. I do NOT recommend going to this new squires. They could not do anything about our bill, just 20% which is not much for the amount of food we ordered. We will NOT be coming back to this restaurant again. Lots of complaints by others around us in the restaurant too. This is sad, it used to be an amazing pub. Also, a small tip for the assistant manager when speaking with customers (as a person who has been in the restaurant industry for a long time), do NOT walk away and interrupt customers when they voice their complaints/ why they did not enjoy their meal.

My wife and I had lunch at The Squire today. We chose a hamburger and loaded tacos from the lunch menu. Both were excellent and the service provided by our server (Layla) was outstanding. We were very pleased with our experience and pleased.that The Squire has reopened. All good !

I tried out this place for the first time and was really happy with the service. i would recommend this place to friends and family. the bartender was super nice!

I had never been to Squires. Went with my son who had the butternut squash ravioli while I had the filet mignon. Had a big steak craving. All the food was absolutely delicious. Only complaint is the portion size for the ravioli. Too small.

Fastest food I ve ever gotten and amazing service. We were asked 2-3 times if we wanted anything else and how the food is. Every time we said it was amazing. Definitely recommend for family s and small groups. The atmosphere is great too. Modern but still cozy. Our waitress Bianca was amazing. She was very funny and never failed to put a smile on our faces every time she visited the table. Their Alfredo dumplings are to die for. Lots of variety and things to choose from. 11/10 definitely recommend coming here if you live in Burlington or outside of Burlington.

Went with friends, two couples, both ordered arancini risotto balls which according to the menu had a filling of pulled lamb. 2 portions of 6 and not a scrap of lamb to be seen. One of our party had chicken fried chicken for entree. Menu said comes with fries actually came with what we think was mashed potatoes. Salad that was served with it was rotten in some parts and looked to be 2 to 3 days old. Fish and Chips were OK and salmon entree was good. Speciality cocktails at $23 each, wine by glass. Both overpriced. We told our waitress, but manager didn t come to check on us. If you want to charge premium prices you need to deliver a premium product, which this wasn t. Way better options in Burlington. We won t be back.

The food was delicious. Small servings, but very flavourful. Prices have gone up because its now under new ownership. Service wasnt great. Barely checked on throughout the dinner; had to get our servers attention in order to get refills which had been sitting empty for quiet a while. There were only two other tables seated the entire time we were there. The servers would hangout around the host desk more often than anything else.

Me and my friend stopped in at this restaurant the other night and it was so wonderful. All of the staff were attentive, helpful, and very friendly especially Kim my waitress. The food was amazing and very quick to come out. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family, thank you so much Kim for making my night memorable! I will definitely be back. See you guys soon!

We came to celebrate a coworker s 60th birthday and we had a great table in the centre of the restaurant near the fireplace. The atmosphere is charming and relaxed. The food was delicious. I had chicken fingers done in BBQ sauce and fries. Without even having to ask, they brought us out a brownie dessert for the birthday girl with a sparkler candle. The service was excellent.

Avoid getting food from this bar at all costs, will be take forever to be made and when it is made everytime it is wrong and lacking quality it s clear the chefs in the back don t care

This is our local when we want to get out for a beer and good food. The chicken fingers are unbelievable!

We love this place, it s close to home and kids eat free Sundays. Kim is our favourite server, so kind, funny and witty. She s very patient with our toddlers who are still learning to eat out in restaurants. The food is pretty good we usually get the burgers, always fresh tasting and great toppings.

Went here for the first time today after hearing about the place for years. Enjoyed the $12 lunch deals - great portions and delicious food! Kim was our server and she was delightful - will be returning sooner rather than later.

Very disappointed with the food today (Dec.24/2022) I ordered the roti and it was wrapped in tortillas, seriously!?! It also tasted very different but not in a good way, the rest of the food was just ok only thing that was really good was the wings. I think we re done with this restaurant, last few times the food has been what it use to be, very disappointing.

Squires was a great experience. We found it totally by accident as we were bowling in the area and wanted something close to the bowling alley. Were a group of five, and were seated promptly at around table that was amazing. Our waitress Rachel was very knowledgeable about the menu and mentioned the specials of the day and also suggested some things we may like. It was very friendly atmosphere and our waitress made our meal very enjoyable. I would definitely return.

Just had dinner this evening. The food was terrible!! Shepherds pie was a clump of lord knows what, the Yorkshire puddings tasteless and the Caesar salad was very strange!! not the pub we remember!! Plastic checkered table cloths and artificial flowers do not look good in a British pub environment !! Sorry not a good experience!!

We came down last weekend for lunch. Good food but clearly microwaved. Scalding hot in some areas and not even temp on plate. Was a shame. Great staff however.

Matthew was a very good host / bartender the chicken fried chicken was nice specifically with added bacon the calamari sucked it was like rubber that really was off-putting. Will definitely go back but no calamari this time

Blackened Chicken was loaded with flavor. My wife loved her Butter Chicken. We will be back. Our party of 6 was happy with our server Nichole.

I recently held a private event at Squires Public House in Burlington, and I was very pleased with how accommodating, customer-oriented, and professional the service was. From planning and answering my questions prior to the event, to the preparedness and service during the event, it was a stress-free experience and I would go back for another event in a heartbeat! Highly recommend.

Loved the food and drinks. The place has a good vibe, service was very nice, thanks Nicole. Would very much recommend.

Ordered the burger and fries with gravy. It was just average. Burger was dense and a little too well done, but you could tell it was handmade. Fries were hand cut and super fresh. Gravy was tasteless and rather liquid. Didnt stick to the fries very well.

We went with a group (9 with reservation) for a birthday. The services was okay and I m being nice and the food was hit and miss. They throw a cake with a sparkler and said I heard there was a birthday and before the plate hit the table the server was gone again. This was our first time but will most likely be our last.

Service is always good, but the recent changes have not been for the good. New white tables do not fit it. Fake flowers at the entrance feel like I m arriving to a funeral. Food has changed and sauce recipes are different - please revert! Squires was so reliable but not so much anymore.

Very nice atmosphere and excellent customer service. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food was good and reasonably priced. We ordered the quesadilla and a burger. Our only issue was the fries were undercooked.

Had the cauliflower bites. They were definitely not bites. The cauliflower is clearly cooked from raw, biting into them was like biting into a raw head of cauliflower it was not pleasant. The food overall is severely lacking. The fish in the fish and chips was in a very bready batter (vs a beer batter) and tacky when eating. The fries tasted like they had been sitting there for a while as well. The crowd seemed to love it there though, I guess its just not my thing.

Horrible fish and chips. Soggy batter, no taste and expensive. The thistle is much better. Small menu with little options. Bar had no white Bacardi rum!! And they ran out of olive juice for martinis!!! What bar is not fully stocked????? The only saving grace was our waiter. We won t be back.

We have been coming here for years and until recently, was always really good. It has fallen off in recent months, but on our last visit was the final straw. I ordered a club sandwich, it was very bland and tasteless. I looked inside and noticed they had missed out the mayo. I mentioned this and some was dropped off. When we got the bill though, we noticed we had been charged for the mayo!!! They would not remove it. Im done, no more Squires for us!

Great fast and friendly service. Ordered some food for pick up and when I went to pay found out it was part of the lunch deal! Was the perfect amount of food for a lunch. Will be going back to grab some more lunch items. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and lots of TVs for watching games. Will have to check out the patio this summer.

Very quiet Saturday afternoon meant excellent service. Food was above average pub fare.

Just order meatloaf and calamari. So disgusting. It was cold old and should never have been served to anyone.

Good variety on the menu service and food both very good

Just stopped in for a quick visit with friends. Ordered keylime pie and a fancy coffee. The pie was way too sweet, I only had the first bite and told the waitress I didnt like it but they did not take it off the bill. The service was fast and the waitress was nice but she left dirty dishes on our table the whole time we were there. I would not recommend the dessert or the specialty coffees, not good for the price. Did not eat a meal there so cannot comment.

Waited 40 minutes and appetizer did not even make it. No one paid any attention until we got up to pay for our drinks and leave. Parking: Great parking lot, would use it again to go to a different restaurant.

Incredible food with a cozy atmosphere. There was a lot of flavour in the food, and it was served fresh and hot. The poutine had real cheese curds, and I love their choice of potatoes (Yukon Gold, a favorite of mine). Ive lived nearby since they opened but never stopped in, and Im so glad that I finally did.

Enjoyed this venue as a couple & with family & friends, many times. Comfortable, welcoming, warm atmosphere and excellent service & food. Mathew was attentive, polite & helpful with recommendations while we sat on the best patio we know.

We use to love this place but the menu changed and so many of the great dishes are gone now (pizza, irish nachos). That said, the fried chicken is amazing and Ive never had crispier. The staff was virtually non-existent on our last visit and it was hard to even get a drink refill or everything we ordered. The website isnt kept current and a lot of the prices were different when we arrived and saw the real menu. I think it would do them a lot of good to have a mystery shopper in once and awhile.

Menu seems more condensed from before, apparently new ownership? Got rid of the fresh cut fries which were disappointing. Overall food wasnt great. Used to be a family favourite.

It has a patio that is nice to sit at for a drink. Food wise, four of us visited, and the food was just Ok. One sent her meal back, and the rest kept their meals. And if they want to get into the game, figure out how to compete for wing nights as the pricing set up is ridiculous.

I came in on a Tuesday because I noticed on their website that they had a burger & Pint special at 4pm as well as half price apps 3-6. When I got there I asked if they had any food specials on today and was told no. Opened the menu and noticed the half price apps on the first page and asked if this deal was still on and was told oh yeah I think thats on until 6. It seems like nobody was aware of any of the specials posted on the website. My recommendation would be: 1 Remove any specials from the website that are not honored, 2 train the staff about any specials going on during the week so they can inform the guests when they arrive. First time dropping in but I think Ill pass on this place. The weakly specials are a great way to get people in the door but I have no confidence the specials are even a thing or if the website is out dated

Sat on a booth in the bar area, seat was soaked with some sort of liquid. Asked the server for a towel to sit on to soak up my wet pants. When I realized she had forgotten about me, I went and asked her for a towel and she handed me a wet rag, I took some napkins and sat on those. Used the bathroom, no toilet paper! Used to come here quite often before covid, since then, downhill. Trying to type this while fighting off the fruit flys. Very disappointed in the environment. Ordered haddock and chips, much smaller fish portion and. Wont be back and spreading the word.

Not sure where to begin. Came in for dinner with myself and my wife and 3 children. Was greeted at the door and the manager licked her fingers to get my kids 3 kids meals. (Gross) Arrived at the table and there were a couple of bugs on the table eating the crumbs left behind from the previous guests. Server cleaned the table. We ordered our food 2 kids meals and 3 entrees. I asked for a recommendation for myself and she recommended the burger but needed to read the menu because she couldn t remember the name. I agreed to the burger and was excited to try it. She repeated our order and it wasn t correct. I corrected the order and she said ok. We ordered 1 white milk and she came back to say the restaurant had no milk. The waitress said the manager was busy and the chef that does the ordering was off for 2 weeks. There were a total of 3 tables that were seated and eating in our section but as busy and understaffed as she mentioned she still had time to be texting or browsing on her cell phone. We received most of our order and had the kids and my wife start eating. My recommended burger didn t arrive. She came to see how everything was and I mentioned that if the burger wasn t on the way to just cancel it. She asked what I had ordered and I thought she was kidding. I mentioned didn t you recommend something for me? She said she didn t remember. At that point the experience was a 0 . No manager came to the table to apologize. She then came to ask if the kids wanted the included ice cream. We said 3 vanilla scoops. She repeated 3 vanilla scoops and my wife and I were amazed that she was now on the ball. She brings out the ice cream. 2 vanilla and 1 chocolate. SMH. At this point we had given up hope. I thought maybe there was a hidden camera and we were on some kind of prank show. Absolutely horrible service. The worst I have ever had and had to write this review. Food was a 3 star. Service below 0

Food was okay. A bit pricey for what we got. French onion soup was not what was expected. Should have been explained differently. Would go back but not on a regular basis due to price. Feels like a Kelseys but more expensive. Portions sizes for same item do vary in size

Exactly what I want in a Pub - cozy, variety of sports, perfect music volume, friendly staff and delicious food. I got the $12 lunch, available from 1130-3pm, and cant believe that it also included a side! I got the buffalo chicken wrap (so delicious! I got hot and while it could have been hotter it still had excellent flavour) with fries (crispy outside, potato-y inside ) and their Squires Pilsner ALL for only $16! I will definitely be back! Oh and the British (?) woman who served me at the bar was excellent

This place feels like a authentic English pub. I will make sure my the cricket team of Burlington visit here as well feel like home being here.

Where to begin? Let me start off by saying I ve been here before ( Pre-Pandemic) and I m sure they had a different owner back then. It USED to be good. Now? Unprofessional, untrained staff - it s as if they hired people with no clue about service. The food? A dismal 2 out of 10. I was waited on by a blonde girl; I ll refrain from mentioning her name. The experience was so terrible I felt like I should ve placed my own order and served myself. Even the manager, Sheila, I presume, stepped in to help, but to no avail. Does she even have any idea about managing a restaurant? What on earth are you doing running this place? I d strongly suggest selling the restaurant, hiring new chefs, and starting from scratch. This is utterly not working. To add to the dismay, I was accompanied by an old friend visiting from out of town, hoping to impress him with local cuisine. Instead, he witnessed this fiasco. His bewildered expressions matched mine with each passing moment - from the mishandled order to the lackluster dishes that eventually arrived. It was an embarrassment, not just for me but for the entire establishment. Such a shame, given the potential this place once had.

My family of 11(8 adults, 3 kids) recently dined in for dinner on a Saturday evening(6pm). My fiancé and I have dined here many times in the past and had a great experience with the food and okay service, so we were looking forward to bringing our extended family to try it out while they were in town. We were pretty disappointed and turned off the whole restaurant after our latest visit. For a Saturday evening, it was actually quite slow in the dining room, with many open tables, so I m really not sure what the excuse was for the slow and mediocre service. We ordered 3 appetizers, nachos, potato skins and bruschetta, all which looked great except the bruschetta had more red onion than tomato, and in large chunks so all you could taste was onion. I personally pulled a medium length blonde hair out of my mouth after a couple bites into my Forty creek burger, I don t usually complain about a hair on the plate especially if it is the same colour as mine and could have come from me but this was from the centre of my burger (My hair is also dark brown and long, so it definitely didn t come from me.) they offered to remake it and took my plate away, fries and all. After my family wa pretty much finished their meals my burger arrived without my fries we then asked for the fries since I only ate 3 before finding a hair. Fries came, tasted like the same fries that were just reheated. My moms ceaser salad tasted off after 3 of us tried it to make sure it wasn t just her, we were told it was probably too much anchovies they took the salad away and said they would take it off the bill. Buffalo chicken sandwich, tasted like the sauce had been sitting in the fridge too long or tasted like fridge. A few other small things about the food but not enough to complain about. On top of all this, for most of our dinner, who we thought could have been the manager or owner stood at the front by the hostess stand with her arms crossed, staring at our table, sometimes accompanied by another waitress. Our waiter seemed a little shy, he did apologize for everything but I wouldn t say he went out of his way to make the experience any better. We were pretty disappointed the manager never came over to apologize after all the issues we encountered with our food. The whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths and I don t think we will be back anytime soon.

There is something extra special about the service and food here. Tonight, I went to Squires Public House for dinner with my two parents and daughter. The oh meal was as wonderful as it usually is, and we were treated to extra attention from Kim, our server tonight. From Kim s sense of humour to her special treatment of my daughter, to the scrumptious food; the night turned from ordinary to spectacular. The manager came to check our table frequently, confirmed that everything was perfect and that we felt meticulously cared for. We were able to enjoy each other s company while Kim and staff took care of the details. The staff takes the time to smile, introduce themselves and we were greeted like family. The service is so personal, so caring and so welcoming that one feels one is part of the caring team there. The atmosphere is tastefully festive for the start of the Christmas season. I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding to cap off the meal. We will be making this a regular family meetup place!

We had a great experience here! Awesome food, service, and drinks. They have a selection of mocktails which I really appreciate. Parking: Lots of space and easily accessible.

Fair prices ok food

We were a group of 7 and went there on mid week after 9pm, so there was no rush. So the atmosphere was really perfect for us. The spinach and artichoke dip was really awesome. The waitress even offered the refils for pita bread multiple times. We had the puplic house burger, and the bun and patty were good, but it felt like if it was a bit more saucy, it would have been perfect. Let me start off by saying the staff was so delightful and the service was great! Food was okay! I had the Fish & Chips. The fish was good but missing a little something (I think it has something to do with the seasoning). Otherwise, their fries are sooooo bomb . They remind me so much of the Burger Priest fries. My husband was saying that his was okay as well. Again, something was missing with his fried chicken in regards to flavour and texture. Overall, I would come back as their food wasn t bad and was super affordable, the atmosphere was great, and I would love to try their shepherds pie! Not bad

This has been the place for friends and family to gather for years. Since the pandemic however things at the Squire have changed. The menu selection gets smaller and smaller. Prices are creeping up. Food quality is noticably dropping. The changes arent good. These days when we talk about going out for a meal, we rarely think of the Squire anymore.

Horrible experience. Food was over cooked. They were out of everything we ordered server didn t tell us till after we ordered. They forgot our appetizer, We had to order it after we got our food. Service was horrible. Waited awhile just to order and never checked on. Really disappointed

Place, site and location very Good. But dishes and food served very poor. There is no flavor. All oily. Simple plates served everywhere like Fish and fingers, here is the worst. Never ask for them. If you want to take a risk, ask for other different things. Again the place is ok, attention is good.

Great half price sharables before 6.

Never again!!! Unfortunately this was our families favourite restaurant and we ve literally eaten there hundreds of times but this will be our last. After waiting an hour and half we still hadn t received our food .we were very understanding because they were busy but after an hour and half we never got checked on once. The waitress brought our drinks and we literally didn t get spoken to again the entire time. Finally threw cash on table on walked out before the food even came. We understand they were busy but utter lack of communication was unbelievable. Not even to ask for refills or your order will be another 10 minutes anything we better than being ignored. Good-bye Squires, you ve lost an extremely loyal customer.

I had visited squires the other day with some friends, and the food was just okay. Our server was amazing during our time there. However, we mainly came for their $4.50 pints, we had checked their website ahead of time and no where did they say that there was a time limit on the $4.50 pints. It specified that on Friday after 4:00pm they had 2-for-1 fish and chips, but when I spoke to the manager she brought out a piece of paper that said their specials. She didn t honour the specials online, but blamed it on a girl who does their website. The manager was incredibly rude, belittling, and had little customer service etiquette. Won t be returning because of the manager.

This was my first visit and I wasn t disappointed. Very nice atmosphere and quality food. I ordered the fish and chips and got a couple of beers as well. Server was very nice and polite. I will definitely be returning.

Good food and atmosphere..went for lunch

It was very busy and seemed staff were rushed off their feet but they were still able to serve us with a smile. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Bowl but received the Caesar Salad with Cajun Chicken which was good.
