Absolute worst service Ive ever had. Ive been a bartender for 15 years as well. Super rude and prejudice to my friends. Bartenders were also drinking on the job.

We were not sure how this would go over. We had been to Wendall Clarks many times and the change felt strange. But we were very happy with the Blk Swan. The place is clean and fresh, the staff were delightful and the food although not perfect, was very good indeed. I am changing my review. I am sitting in here right now and had a request. The one gentleman working here (I use the term loosely) that we asked a question from, berated us for no reason and talked to us like a piece of garbage while sounding condescending. I do not like that. I think he was an owner or manager. Servers are not at fault here. They are nice. So is the food. But that really, really ticked me off and spoiled my dinner.... But on the positive, Naomi is a fantastic server! Awesome job and thanks!

Not going to waste my time writing a long review on this place. (Although my time there was a joke) If I owned that place I d be embarrassed. Hire new waitresses that care for there costumers and bartenders that aren t rude and drinking on the job! (One was pretty intoxicated)

Unprofessional and dishonest staff. The food is not good to put it bluntly and the service is horrible. The only upside is the bands and the people in the bar. They also have a gambling racket running through the week upstairs. Will never be visiting this location again.

Got our food and then never saw our waiter again. She didn t bring our drinks and never asked how we were doing in an hour time period, and she gave us a nasty look when asked about non alcoholic options. Honestly food was just okay and expensive. Don t waste your time, there are much better restaurant options in the area.

Our Wednesday night go-to! The pub grub special has quickly become one of our favourites in downtown. We usually get the same server every Wednesday and she s great. Always very diligent with checking in on us, and very happy to recommend meals. They have a in-house beer that has become our standard choice for drinks. You can t beat the price and taste at 6.50 a pint. If the owners/staff read this, see you next Wednesday!

I visited this place for the first time, and their menu was poorly written and misleading. Two of us ordered a burger and a drink each, which ended up costing nearly $90 with the tip. The menu didn t indicate that toppings were extra, which made no sense. The waitress, an older blonde lady, took our order without informing us about the extra charges for toppings. The burgers were mediocre at best, and when we got the bill, we saw that two burgers and two sodas cost nearly $80 plus the undeserved tip. We felt ripped off, and the waitress didnt explain anything, simply saying, Well, yall ordered it. Her customer service was terrible. As a waitress, she should have explained the menu properly. Shame on her and this establishment for the misleading menu and exorbitant charges!

Waited 4 mins to get seated.. Was not busy . Never got seated walked out.

This is my first Google review, the sever got me one piece of fish instead of the two I ordered. When I asked for the second she apologized and insisted she got the second for me free of charge. Much to my dismay this was a lie

Came to have a drink with my parents for Father s Day weekend, but they didn t let me in because I m under 25? what a joke (I m 24)

I ordered chicken fingers and fries. the fries were okay and the chicken fingers were great. I went with a couple friends. I came late, and my friends had wanted to sit outside and the waitress, who s name we did not catch as she didn t let us know, said she was not serving them outside. She did not greet me when I came to the table and took a while to grab me a menu. She eventually gave me my food when it came and walked away. She did not check in on us once or ask how the food was. Once leaving, I did not add a tip. I always leave my tips based on service, and she was not a good server at all. She was hovering over me while I was paying, and confronted me when I pressed no tip. My bill was only $22. She said there was no excuse for not including a tip and that she was doing me a service. I explained that I came late and she did not demonstrate the qualities that deserved a tip. My friend ended up tipping 18% because of her outrageous and unprofessional attitude towards my choice of tip. Especially after what she said to me, she was certainly undeserving of a tip. This lady was older with blonde hair and black eyeliner. I am unhappy with my experience. As someone who works in customer service, I understand the value of customer service. I won t be returning.

We went for the Mothers Day brunch and I wanted to leave a review while it was fresh in my mind. The customer service was amazing. We were greeted at the door by a very cheerful young lady, our server was very friendly and attentive with a great sense of humour. The staff looked genuinely happy to be there. The atmosphere was so nice. The variety of food was amazing and delicious. It is somewhere I ll be trying again.

Good Caesars wanted to come back for the chicken burger BUT Dani the Waitress was unprofessional and extremely rude when my brother mistakenly taped without tipping. We were in the sun drinking yet when called out in public she was told it was a mistake and honest mistake and before having the opportunity to correct himself Dani went off on my brother in front of everyone on the patio and on the way out she also flipped me off and called me a loser ! Make sure you don t make this same mistake as there will be consequences !! Be safe be careful!

A friend took me out for a birthday lunch on a Wednesday. We had a wonderful server, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. I had the roast beef Yorkie bowl and it was perfect. Flavourful, tender and the roasted vegetables were great. I look forward to trying other things on the menu. I plan to return soon.

Tara, our server, was excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we had great lunch our kids were happy. Would definitely recommend.

The downtown location is easy to get to. The pub ambiance is great, kids are welcomed and vegetarian meals are available. They also have music band on some nights.

Great spot for beer and nachos with friends. Crowd seems to be generally 40s, 50s, 60s but it s the kind of place where everybody fits in. Live bands that play late on weekends. Attentive service and reasonable prices. Cute patio.

Went to see a retro 80s band. It was very busy but out waitress never let our glasses be empty. I have ate here a few times and its been a nice meal each time.

Service was not great. We asked what top shelf whiskeys were available, the waitress told us to go check the bar ourselves. We asked for water no ice, we got water with ice. They were really pushy with getting an order in. Once we were done, they cleaned the table right away, and there was no one waiting to get in, so I dont understand the rush.

I had an absolutely delightful experience at this place. The ambience is very inviting and sets the perfect tone. The staff is very polite and makes you feel welcome. Talking about the food, each dish we ordered was perfectly cooked with amazing flavors. The one thing I really liked is that the menu is diverse offering a good variety of options. Overall, its a great value for money. I would definitely be visiting again soon to try out other things on the menu :)

My friend and I attended the Black Swan s 2024 NYE event and had a wonderful time! Reasonably priced tickets that included a champagne toast and yummy late night snacks! We had Serena as a server and she was the best! Always making sure we had everything we needed and very friendly! She definitely enhanced our experience. Looking forward to dinning with Black Swan in the future and hopeful to have Serena again!

My wife and I tried their daily lunch special menu. She had the BLT on multigrain with fries and I had the fish tacos also with fries. Both lunches were excellent. Large portions, great fries. Nice presentation a lot better than your average pub meal. Attentive friendly staff. Nice patio when the weather is good. Well be back to try some of their other offerings. My family and myself enjoyed our dinner at Black Swan.We had Southern fried chicken, which I thought was a hit along with Fish and chips, which was good as well. We sat in the patio, and I felt the ambience was good. The only thing was our service and waiter was beyond slow. Not sure if it was because our table was tucked on the side,(table 434) but we saw 2 set of families come in and dine and we still didnt recieve our mains. We requested my kids meal to be rung in first (she was hungry) before we get our mains, and after 30 mins we noticed he didnt even come to take our order, and he mentioned he didnt punch in the kids order. Pretty disappointing service but the food and the ambience made it up.

Went to the Black Swan to watch some Monday night football. The wings were very good; nice and crispy. There are more than enough televisions to be able to comfortably watch the game wherever youre seated. Odd that the kitchen closed at 9pm though. Parking: A couple green P lots around, as well as on street parking which is free after 6pm.

Slow service, mediocre food, and pricey. Waitress came out on the sidewalk and screamed at me for skipping the tip. Never coming back. Edit: Sent an email and still no response. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere else along Brant St.

Went for late lunch, despite being almost empty took 5 minutes for server, got a beer, server was almost 20 minutes to ask what we wanted to eat. My wife and I decided Pepprwoods. 3 others got faster service from other server at bar and adjacent table. For a new restaurant it looks old and worn. Wont go back.

tried to get drinks for a bunch of friends... the bartenders all ignored me. it was disrespectful... they served anyone that was waiting after me. saw that they were prejudicing me so I walked right out.

Wine Wednesdays is a joke. Got overcharged on the wine and all they could offer was 2 $5.00 gift certificates. These will be useless as I won t go back. The food was sub par. My stomach has yet to recover. The waitress was nice though, very enthusiastic. Hope she can find a position elsewhere as this place won t last long.
