Mandarin Restaurant in Burlington

The food at this establishment is always good, fresh and ample of choice. This time of year the choices are even better, especially the grilled food options. My favourite are the seafood choices, shrimps muscles, and others. The service is top notch. I have to call out Oscar, one of the managers. My son has celiac and when I called ahead to understand the GF food choices, Oscar said hed personally walk him around and point out which dishes he could eat, or he could order off the menu and hed supervise the kitchen staff to ensure its safety. And when we arrived, thats exactly what he did. Thank you for taking the time and added personal touch to make each person feel welcome at your restaurant. I was amazed.

The food was delicious, well balanced, and fresh. Our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. All of the staff were friendly and kind. A1 experience! Vegetarian options: There were many vegetarian options, such as mixed vegetables, extensive salad bar, noodles, and rice dishes

Mandarin has decreased in quality over the past several years, and it s nowhere near the same as before. Even before the quality decreased, my various Chinese friends would say Mandarin is an embarrassment towards Chinese cuisine, and they d poke fun at me for liking it. If I didn t understand back then, I certainly do now. A comeback is pretty much hopeless, Mandarin will never be the same again. Their hospitality, service, and atmosphere was great, though. But with some of the food, you could taste how low quality it was.

I called to make a reservation for newyears eve and was told I can make one but I have to leave by 8pm so I have barely an hour. The place is a buffet apparently you have to race to eat so they can kick you out and charge you full price. I will take my family elsewhere

Tonights visit was definitely not a good one. Our table was in a bad spot, where ppl regularly stopped to talk to each other, so we had bums in our face. Not once did I get a fresh napkin (even tho my first plate had my napkin crumpled on it). I had to stare down a server for a water refill. Was not asked if I wanted coffee or tea with dessert and our hot towels were almost cold. When I went up for roast beef it was well done and I was told 10 minutes for medium rare, so I went back and when they brought it out they cut the tip (which was medium well) and gave that to me. The chocolate mousse cake was frozen solid and the ice cream was soft and melty. Normally I enjoy going, but tonight I felt ignored. If it had been my first time I dont think I would go back again.

Nhi was wonderful! The food was mouthwatering, the drinks were thirst quenching! My experience at Burlington Mandarin was spectacular. Kid-friendliness: Lots of delicious food for youths(e.g. ice cream, frozen yogurt and many more kid welcoming foods). And also the kid friendly atmosphere!

This location is my favorite of all the other mandarins I have been to. We got there around 430 and it wasnt busy at all. The food was fantastic, staff were great and I highly recommend this location

Im so disappointed.. The last three orders they were short a dish every time.. At sixteen dollars a dish that adds up.. Once might be a mistake , but three times in a row is not. They finally got to order right this time. But. Two of our chicken dishes had NO,chicken, That is thirty dollars down the drain.. And the beef and broccoli only had five pieces of beef.. We basically threw away a hundred and fifty dollars worth of food. I will not order from them again.Enough is enough. Not only do they short you but now they dont even give you what you pay for. And they do nothing to make it right. They do not care about their customers. It is okay to eat in the restaurant but not to order to the house. Update.. As usual with most respondents they look like they care about your review and they ask you to contact them as I did but they did nothing. They ask you for silly things like order. Numbers which is an internal audit number on their computer, which you of course do not have ways to get around if not Supposedly being able to verify things and do anything to help you.They look like they care but they do not.

The first time I have eaten at Mandarin was Sept 1st of this year, and it was at the Hamilton location. Buffett was really good. So I thought I would do takeout at the Burlington location. What a disappointment. The fried rice had so much soy sauce, it was dark brown. The gravy that came with the Almond so guy was underwhelming. I am sure it was canned beef gravy. A total waste of $50.

Service is great. Food is good. Unlike other Chinese food places, the mandarin food usually doesn t agree with me. Not sure why. Maybe it s the cooking oils ? I really wish they brought back the crab legs. Even as an upgrade option.

We have been there many times.. We went for lunch, and for the first time, my stomach was off for the rest of the day. I cant say why or for what reason... The food seemed fine... but Im probably not going back for a while. Sorry Mandarin.

Pictured in this comment was the best part of fhe meal. Food was awful, 70 dollar lesson learned. Chicken balls no chicken or barley and same with torpedo shrimp, spicy beef steak with peppers and onions the beef was more gristle then beef but the onions and peppers where good. At least the fortune cookies taste good. Wouldnt go back if i got to eat for free for life. Update: Meal was not fully refunded as was said would be dine so customer service gets 0 stars to reflect the lying managment.

The Burlington Mandarin is overall a good choice for consistent good food and great service. At this point I dont have much negative to say they do a fairly good job here and I think its one of the better locations

Had a great half-price lunch for Senior s Day at Mandarin. With so many people it could have been a disaster, but it was well organized and the staff were so cheery and worked so hard. Cant say Mandarin has changed much which isnt a bad thing. My Nonna always loves going here and shes always happy to see the family eat. Its buffet food so im sure you can complain about certain things but everything was good that I had and we all left happy and full. The customer service was also quite good as usual which sucks to say isnt the case at many establishments these days.

The food was great as always and the new dishes for the moon festival were very agreeable. Vegetarian options: There many different types of food including meat free dishes. Parking: Spacious parking lot with many parking spots to choose from. Kid-friendliness: The have many kid friendly dishes as well as lots of dessert items to choose from. Wheelchair accessibility: The store is all on one level with access ramps at the entrance, and lots of space between tables and buffet.

Thank you Nhi, Jin, Eric! Had a fantastic Thanksgiving Lunch with my family, they made the experience amazing. Great service and atmosphere, and food is always delicious.

The manager or the supervisor of the shift made our dining experience very embarrassing. I visited with a couple of friends, who were guests I invited and the person came in to shout at us to explain that we were sharing drinks and it was not recommended. To my surprise we were not even sharing anything and even if we were to share I think it should not be a problem to them because we paid per person $40+ and paid extra for each of the drinks. Later the server came to us to explain that it was her mistake she passed a wrong message to the other manager/supervisor. Either way it was not polite he never came in to at least apologize. Was a very bad experience on Thanksgiving day.

As with other Mandarin restaurants, the buffet offers a large variety of Asian and western food. Everyone can find something they enjoy to eat. The price of the food is based on quantity. Quality is OK. Service seemed promising, but there were too few staff for the crowds, so we were often promised something soon but had to wait quite some time.

All the food is fresh and tasty, I recommend it.

A great experience every time. Reservations are recommended as it can be quite busy. Plates are always clean, as well as food stations and utensils. Food options are plenty, and can change depending on special events. Hot food grill available as well as many dessert options. Staff are quite friendly, helpful, and always around to clear away plates. The manager also made rounds to talk to the tables. Washrooms are clean and well serviced. Go hungry

Great food with decent variety. The prices are very reasonable. Food is regularly refilled. Its great value for money. Anthony serving our table took great care of us. We will come back in the future.
