The team is dedicated to providing Burlington with a unique intimate dining setting for all to discover and enjoy, whether its an easy night out with friends or an Omakase experience - our version of haute cuisine, we look forward to redefining the typical night out.
A trying restaurant avails in the heart of Burlington ON. This place is what you should be going to Burlington for. The food here is exceptional, with a short menu full of classics and a slice of new life, I would recommend this place instantly. The service was excellent, presentation was great, and experience overall a 9/10. I rarely give my best to a dinner spot but this nailed it on many levels. 1 point deduction for music that was not loud but overwhelming.
This is my first visit to enjoy those fantastic dishes in this amazing restaurant. I can feel the passion and great effort of the chefs exerted into it. All the great chefs, knowledgeable servers, and nice crews are very professional, kind, and friendly. I have a wonderful experience from the tasting menu tonight with my dear husband. Cheers. ♥️
Incredible hidden gem in Burlington. The quality, presentation, taste of the dishes exceeded our expectations. But with the chef’s impressive resume it all makes sense. I’d say there’s nothing quite like this in Oakville, Burlington, or Hamilton. Absolutely recommend this for a great dinner out.
We recently moved to Burlington from Toronto and have been looking for a place just like this! The food was exquisite, the service amazing and the atmosphere was cozy yet sophisticated. As many of the other reviews say, if you’re a foodie this is a must try! We’ll definitely be back.
Food was amazing, service was outstanding, pricing is beyond reasonable. Michelin level experience & food quality. Highly reccommend, & I already look forward to the next time I'm able to go
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem in Burlington, and I can’t recommend it enough. The restaurant’s atmosphere was cozy yet sophisticated with each aspect, from the menu to the plates and cutlery, having been well thought out. Each dish was unique, thoughtfully crafted and put together. We could not pick a favourite out of all of the dishes. The food was simply beyond good. The service was impeccable; our servers were quick, attentive, and genuinely personable. If you consider yourself a foodie, you can’t claim to have experienced the best of Burlington’s culinary scene without a visit here. No. 8 Restaurant is a must-visit!
A hidden gem in Burlington! Drinks, food and service are all fantastic! The best grilled octopus I’ve ever had. Definitely will be back!
Restaurant pedigree at it’s finest without the pretences! Elegant but cozy restaurant just off the beaten path in South Burlington. Owner, Chef/Team and Servers really know their stuff, and it shows. We tried most of the dishes on the menu, all outstanding, especially the Chicken Liver Toast and Tartar. Do not hesitate will not disappoint. Michelin Star worthy! 5/5
Beautiful atmosphere, great service and most importantly exceptional food. I most enjoyed the outstanding oysters like I have never had before. In fact, I had some more for dessert. The cod dish was a fantastic finish cooked to perfection. And everything in between was a pleasure. Great first experience and will definitely be back.
My husband and I had a last minute date last Saturday, and had the pleasure of dining at No.8. Since we did not have prior reservations we were seated at the bar, and what an amazing experience that was! We were lucky to have Brian behind the bar offering great company and definitely adding to our experience. We loved all of our food and drinks and cannot wait to go back. We might request bar seating again :) Thank you!
Amazing food, service and vibe. I m so happy that in Burlington we have a restaurant of Michelin star quality. The chefs are so talented, let s support them and keep them here.
This is dining. With an attentive and highly professional servers backing the incredible talents of the kitchen staff and Chef, the overall experience puts other local restaurants to shame. Our dinner was fantastic and prepared with the utmost care to delight our visual senses and make our tastbuds dance. Dessert; words wont do any justice. We tried every one on the menu... there is no bad choice! Thank you again for a memorable evening, and well see you again No.8!
Amazing from start to finish. I wanted everything on the menu and will come back for what I dont get to try. Worth the trip from Toronto to Burlington.
Incredible upscale local . Have been twice and the food is exceptional, surprising flavour combos and perfect portion size
Had an amazing experience! Food was Michelin star quality, and the service and chefs were incredible! Definitely recommend coming here if you want a dinner you won t forget
Food was phenomenal, great atmosphere, service was disappointing and very slow.
Fantastic foods, not only they tasted so good, the prestations are great. The chefs experience is impressive. Doesnt look fancy from outside, but cozy and nice atmosphere inside. Will definitely go back Food : 5/5
Amazing servers and even better food. Definitely a place to sit back, relax, and enjoy the food and atmosphere. Very moody yet warm and inviting. Will visit again!!!
This was a stupendous experience on a Michelin-starred level. The service was the best weve ever had and the dishes were absolutely delicious, expertly crafted, and presented. We cant wait to bring our friends here.
Randomly found on Resy. Was delicious and worth the drive, will be a regular.
Ive finally found my 5-star dining experience! From the moment we arrived, my husband and I were treated to the high-end service thats been missing in the area. Gracious owner, exquisite steak, and a superb wine selection. The owners extensive expertise having operated 2 successful Oakville restos shines through in every detail. Looking forward to going back.
Food was excellent! Came here with family and all of our dishes were amazing. The kitchen staff started us all out with some complimentary Amuse Bouches which were super fresh and very appreciated. The Chitarra and Grilled Octopus were favourites. Highly recommend to anybody for a nice dinner out in Burlington.
Came by for lunch. The food s phenomenal and the amosphere s chic and welcoming. Artur was very welcoming, looking forward to coming back for dinner
No. 8 offers an exceptional dining experience with its incredible food and beautiful atmosphere. The elegant/modern décor sets a welcoming tone, while the dishes are both innovative and sumptuous. The French Toast, Octopus and Dry-Aged Duck were among the favorites of the night. Artur is known for his elegant hot spots and dynamic culinary concoctions...this venue is no different! I would highly recommend this lovely place.
The best meal we had in a long time, we will definitely be back !
An incredible culinary experience surrounded by a beautiful aesthetic! A team of chefs who truly know their stuff, unlike anything in Burlington! Would highly recommend if you appreciate thoughtful curated dishes and culinarily expertise!!!
A delightful dining experience. Delicious food from start to finish, complimented by professional, unpretentious service in a beautiful and intimate setting.
For starters, the owner Artur is so kind! The atmosphere is gorgeous and intimate! The head chef and the food is incredible! This is the perfect place for a date night or a place to hangout with friends! We will be back
Best restaurant in Burlington.
Burlington has added a fine dining/avant-garde cuisine restaurant. It is located downtown Burlington just a couple blocks from Brant Street. It takes over from the previous Elevator Restaurant (which I never visited). The decor is contemporary with an open kitchen and pizza wood oven. The menu is unique and has many options. The Bone Marrow and Flat Bread were great appetizers and the Duck and Octopus were fantastic entrees. Not pictured, but the Parsnip Espuma with Confit Duck was incredible and really a dish I ve never seen before - very creative! Looking forward to going back!
I love the intimate atmosphere and open kitchen! The food is delicious, and the whole team is kind. They go above and beyond. Thank you!!
As we walked into the restaurant the Owner was receiving an order from a supplier. Rather than welcome us in he tried to be funny by asking me if I wanted to help unpack his order. Not a good first impression The bartender was most accommodating all evening. My one drink was underwhelming My friends ordered a cauliflower app-not my choice but what is cauliflower doing on a menu. If I want a vegan app I ll Go across the street to lettuce love. The tuna tartare was neither tartare nor ceviche. The tuna was not fresh. They tried to mask the flavour of the thick cut strips with a vinaigrette. Also not worth the money. I ordered Halibut which was good at best but laden in sauce. For $44 The atmosphere-there just isn t any. Disappointing overall
I recently had the pleasure of dining at No.8 Restaurant in Burlington, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I have a discerning palate and high expectations, and No.8 did not disappoint. The freshness of the ingredients was immediately apparent. The chawanmushi was delicate and flavourful, the octopus tender and succulent, and the gnocchetti de mare was a delightful surprise. The tartare with bone marrow was rich and indulgent, a true treat for the senses. The oysters were fresh and briny, and their take on French toast was both innovative and respectful of tradition. The staff at No.8 were fantastic, providing friendly and attentive service throughout the evening. Their passion for their work was evident, enhancing the overall dining experience. I had been a regular visitor to Elevator for a number of years, and I continue to be impressed with this new team and establishment. Chef Stephen and his team are not only friendly and fun, but they are also extremely talented. Their culinary skills are evident in every dish they prepare, and their dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience is commendable. In conclusion, No.8 Restaurant in Burlington is a must-visit for any food lover. The combination of fresh ingredients, innovative dishes, and a friendly, talented team makes for an unforgettable dining experience. I wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating and look forward to my next visit.
Came here for a dinner with my husband. Great ambiance, dim, intimate and exclusive vibe which we love. Started with oysters and champagne. Best oyster presentation I ve ever seen and the champagne was to die for. Food was great we tried a bit of everything. Dessert is always my favourite part and they did not disappoint. You can tell these were hand made with love on the spot, not like most restaurants that will prep and pull from the fridge. Service was 10/10
An incredible culinary experience! I brought my sister here for her birthday (on her glowing recommendation) and everything was exceptional. From the moment we were greeted until our departure (where we were kindly waved goodbye with smiles by all staff), it was wonderful. They definitely made her birthday celebration dinner feel special. To start, we were hoping for some sweet cocktails but none were on the menu, so our wonderful server created some delicious ones on the spot for us (by the way, the birthday cocktail he made needs to be added to the menu! Delish). We shared Oysters French Toast Gnocchi Bone marrow And, for dessert, the one with mango, white chocolate and crisp milk (freeze dried milk!) Flavours were a delight (we couldn t stop saying mmmmmmm! , literally), the textures were diverse and complimentary, and the presentation was on point. My favourite was the bone marrow dish and the freeze dried milk dessert. Top it all off with excellent service, and No. 8 is a perfect choice for when you want to treat yourself to an evening out. Looking forward to going back.
Enjoyed so much with every single bites, from perfect taste, presentation to all details explanation from the waiter and the chef. Definitely I would love to go back try all food from the menu.
Brunch on Sunday.....amazing food. Had oysters, halibut, tartare, raviolo, an amazing dessert. Incredible amazing presentations and flavors. Bravo to the entire team. Heading back real soon.
Foodies Had the absolute pleasure of eating last night at No. 8 on Pearl st. If you are a fan of Contemporary food. This is exactly what Burlington needs. If you miss Blacktree or Red Canoe this place is for you. Chef learned his Craft at Noma in Denmark and 11 Madison Park in New York both rank top 5 restaurants on the world. True Foodies will have found a place to call home right here in Burlington. The owner is hoping Burlington is ready for this type of dining. I assured him Burlington has some of the best Foodies around. If you love spectacular dishes with amazing presentation this is for you. Favorite dish of the evening... Bone Marrow layered with Tartare covered in Black Truffle... Yes, as good as is sounds.
Excellent food, ambiance and service.
