Was there to pick up an order this evening for a festive special with a piece of apple pie for dessert. The girl at the counter sticks a fully Frozen piece of apple pie in the bag and doesn't say a word. Another great customer service experience at this location which can never seem to get one single order off without an issue.
We ordered food nearly two hours in advance for delivery, and the food was still half an hour late. The tracking function online barely works. We called customer service because we were not sure whether the delivery was actually coming. The service representative was not helpful and was very dismissive. We could have walked to get our food faster. After all this, it wasn't even good.
Tasos and Kinsley are the most amazing wait staff i have ever dealt with. Food came out fast. Conversation amazing. Smiles. They clearly love working for the organization. I know come on at least every week just to see them and eat the delicious chicken. Love you guys.
Ordered dinner for delivery and received order one hour later with missing items. Store DOES NOT answer the phone. Called the delivery line and waited another HOUR for missing items to be delivered. No apology for waiting two hours to eat cold poor quality food delivered in leaky bags, and still no answer from this store. Now I remember why I stopped ordering Swiss Chalet.
Came in hungry, left disappointed. After driving on the gridlock-traffic-filled highway during a road trip, we got hungry so decided to stop in for a nice sit down dinner. BIG MISTAKE. walked in to a fast food looking dining room with a whopping total of like 3 booths. I’ve seen nicer seating at the Burger King next door. We get our order placed and everything is fine and dandy. Bit of a wait but was pretty busy. After a while we got pretty impatient, however. The people next to us got their food right before us and I overheard them talking about something they got tasting kinda off. So at this point I was scared. Finally we get our food (mind you, after the server almost gave us the wrong order) and I am already disappointed and have not even taken a bite. The fries looked overcooked and dry. Tasted the fries - not a single granule of salt!! Tasted like the Sahara desert. At least the chicken was pretty good, hence the 2 stars. Then I take a bite out of my bun. Noticed it tasted a little weird but was so hungry at this point I was willing to eat anything. The more I ate this bun, the more I noticed this really weird taste. It almost tasted plastic-y. Assuming that’s what the people next to us were complaining about, too. Hope I don’t get food poisoning tonight!!! Overall, if you’re coming off the highway and are starving, you’re better off finding somewhere else to eat. Probably the worst Swiss chalet I’ve ever had.
Highly recommended this amazing location, very clean and organized location. Halal options available which was a bonus for us, the food was really fresh and were really properly seasoned. The service was impeccable, Paolo really took the time to greet us and it was truly a pleasure to dine at this location. Please try it out this location without hesitation by far the best Swiss chalet I ever had!!!!
I have had the wings dinner from Swiss Chalet before and very much enjoyed it. Ordered this again today for lunch and am so disappointed. (Different location than last time) The wings were not breaded (they were the previous time), there was only 11 (not 12) and the fries were dry! How is it possible to have dry fries. Not sure I can ever go to this location again.
Moist, but where's the salt? My group was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff. She made us feel at home. It was mentioned that this location is the new concept store, with modern cafe style seating and automation. We waited 10 minutes longer because the chicken was being baked fresh. The chicken came out very moist but the rest of the dish fell short of expectations. - The fries were under done and under seasoned - an extra 2 minutes in the fryer would've been perfect. Also needs salt. - The chalet sauce was watered down and bland, about 50% of traditional stores. Water needs to be reduced by 40%. - Despite the chicken being cooked perfectly, it was under seasoned. Needs salt. I'm on the fence with the new interior design. Nostalgia is what brings me back to Swiss Chalet. I'll continue to give my feedback and hoping the above recommendation will improve the brand.

I occasionally dine at the Swiss chalet at brant street and I am always impressed by the prompt service, quality, and value. Most recently I was helped by Tasos, who is as good a server as any.
Although my online order was not at the store I ordered it from the manager was exthelpful and made the order immediately and was gracious to correct the error. I paid for it and was in and out of the Brant St location within 15 minutes. Great service I will return to this store again

This place has disappointed consistently. I have never received an order without issue. Missing items, not done as per order request, consistent under portions, old veggies this recent order I spent $22 in a chicken Caesar salad and received a child portion of meat, a salad with no croutons and majority of the lettuce was either rotten, yellow or literal stem/nodes.

This was most disappointing. The chicken was cold and tasted like it was washed off. Zero taste. The chalet sauce was hot but again like they added water to it... Flavorless. And the fries were cold and mushy like they were not cooked and again zero flavour. Didnt even need to wash the stickiness off our fingers like we always need too from here. It even had no smell?!?
Does anyone even work here? Service was so bad you would think no one even worked there. Took 20 mins for a glass of water and asked for butter for my bun which never ended up materializing. Fries were brown on the outside but raw inside, I dont even want to think about how old they fryer oil is. Swiss chalet has been on a downhill for many years but this one was truly the worst Ive ever had

Just had a great dinner with my young son at Seiss Chalet (Brant St and North Service Rd) in Burlington. What stood out was the service. Tasos handled the crowd beautifully... so polite, thanking guests for their patience, always kind, speaking to the kids to get their order. And he and Margaret managed to get food out quickly. What a nice experience!

Grace was incredible. My husband was so excited grace brought us the lemon bowls for our fingers and then let our granddaughter pick from the treasure chest. He was literally transported to his childhood. Thank you Grace for a brilliant evening and giving us a chance to share our childhood with our granddaughter
Took our international guests here because we ve been Swiss chalet fans for 40+ years. Always delicious and always great service. Not the case this night. First time at this location, group of 9, we waited almost an hour for our food. The chicken was pale and we were a bit embarrassed for our guests since we raved about it. We asked our server why it was like that and she said they have different ovens than the traditional SC on Fairview, so we need to ask if we want it cooked more. Was I supposed to know that? We just came for what we are used to. Anyway, disappointing.
Pretty pathetic when you dont send cutlery napkins or condiments when someone orders a 50$ meal from your restaurant, yes its my fault for not asking for a fork for a piece of pie or butter for a bun? What happened to good customer service. Cheapskates. And the buns were stale

Margaret was our server and she was absolutely amazing. My child spilled pop, and she immediately helped us get everything sorted and consoled my child who was mortified that she had made a mess. Further, I happened to notice another table nearby complain about the food (after eating it all and not saying anything when Margaret came by to ask them how the food was) and she handled the situation with such grace. Our drinks were refilled, the fries in particular were great today. The only reason I m writing this review is to highlight Margaret s service. 5 star service.
We ordered a Swiss Chalet sauce at the drive through. We waited for at least 10 min. We were annoyed, reversed out of the drive through and left. What the clerk should have done was to ask the customer in front of us to park the car and once the order is completed to deliver the food to that customer . This way the next customer who only order one item can get their order quickly and be on their way. I would advise to learn this service from McDonald s.

Chicken was moist... not dry. Fries were crispy, and not overly salted. Everything was clean and well lit. Shout out to Kinsey for taking care of us. Sorry for the spill... thats an awful way to say thank you... but THANK YOU!

Ordered delivery - first time from this location. Hard bun -no butter, chicken fingers -one tiny plum sauce, no chalet sauce or cutlery. Coleslaw zero taste. Money not well spent and will be last time ordering from here.

Chantel is an excellent server. Every since the second time we dined, she always remembers our order right down to the lemon for my husbands beer. She is polite and very pleasant, as well as a very good at her job. Swiss Chalet better give her a raise and try and keep her. She would be an asset to any company.

To my knowledge, this is the third time this location has opened. We thoroughly enjoyed the original franchise and wondered if this owner could also wow us. Went on Saturday around 5, so expected dinner service speed. This location is smaller than some, but we got seating right away. The initial order was taken right away and we got got our coffees quickly while we waited. I had ordered the 5 wings and half rack of ribs with a fully loaded potato and the first problem was I got fries instead. The second problem was trying to get our servers attention to rectify this. Called the seating hostess and another waitress to get this resolved and wasnt even told that anything was being done until the potato showed up with a quick sorry about that before he ran off. Maybe we just had a bad night, but the potato was overcooked (dry) and the ribs were the same. Dry, tastless strips of meat. The chicken was good, so maybe I should stick to what they specialize in. Dont think I will try this location anymore.

Lauren was phenomenal! So kind and attentive, so sweet with our family and literally guessed the childrens needs before they even verbalized them. She is the reason we continue coming back and would recommend ONLY this location to others. What a wonderful experience! Food was fresh and tasty (as always)! We always request Chantel to serve us whenever we get lucky that she s working. She gives us the family feeling in family restaurant . The owner isn t one that hides and sits in the office, he s out there helping his staff deliver food when it gets busy. Only reason the atmosphere is 4 stars is because I wish the actual building was a tad bit larger like the restaurants used to be when I was younger. None the less, the new and renovated look to the chain is very bright and tasteful. My family and I always look forward to coming here for dinner!

Conveniently located a short distance up the road from the highway. We chose to dine-in as we were hungry and needed a break from the road. Our server, Johnny was amazing for our family of four and was great with the kids. The food was great, espcially the chicken tenders. Much better than our local Swiss Chalet. We forgot to ask for an extra plate so we could share with our youngest but that wasnt a problem as our server provided a plate proactively, very attentive service! The kids also loved the robot which helped our server deliver the food. Only downside was that since we are out of town, this location is out of the way but if we have the opportunity we will definetly be back! Kid-friendliness: This location is unique and has a robot, which the kids love!
Brant St. location, I ordered in store the 2 can dine, they didnt pack all the items, left out the fries. Tried calling- no one picked- customer service wasnt much help. Update: Was resolved to my satisfaction the following day! Great customer service

Nice place but food wasnt great, dont have to tip because food is delivered by a slow robot. The waitress is literally waiting for it. That is Swiss chalets corporates genius idea( hey how can we slow service down and make our staff less money in tips?) I know lets buy a really slow useless robot that plays the annoying Chicken dance song and angers the customers. Great job Corporate!

The manger seems like a very cold gentleman with zero empathy! Poor customer service!
Found a bone in my chicken sandwich. Almost broke a tooth biting into it. Gave me the smallest helping of mashed potatoes. Forgot the coleslaw on the sandwich. This new location is worse then the previous one. Tried to call the Google 289 number to figure something out - it auto hangs up. Called the number found on the SC website - after trying for a while, finally got through. The woman who answered couldnt help at all unless I physically went back to the store before 10pm today. No offer of emailing any compensation, didnt ask about the order number, nothing. She had no clue at all about how to help unless I drove all the way back. Easy enough to email or send something over. Customer service is the worst Ive had to deal with. The previous time this was open the owner would at least compensate somehow without having to come all the way back by emailing a message or adding something to the account that the order was placed under. The manager ignored the request to help me. Excuse was they were really busy and apparently customers who already bought food arent important enough to help. Attached photos of the sandwich to show the lack of coleslaw and the bone I bit into. Never going back here.
It was a 45 minute wait for our walk-in order at their kiosk... Slight chaos with all the orders going out and could hear all the kitchen noises and order calling, sounded pretty stressful! Food was good in the end though!
Got take out on Friday night at the newly re-opened location. Ordered a family meal at the kiosk around 930pm and it was easy and fast. Maybe too fast!?! At first the bread was missing, asked them and they gave it...Got home and realized the chalet sauce was missing too! Enough said, that should explain how the rest of the meal went.

I really wanted to order online to pick up for my family. BUT there is no prices at all on the menu. so rather then continue searching swiss chalet online for pricing, i just went to a different type of restaurant that has prices. Its a simple request SWISS CHALET. Make it happen !!!!!

We ordered online for delivery. Both the ribs and wings were dry and I had to dunk my ribs in a sauce to get a bbq flavor. Not worth the price we paid. I should of read the reviews before ordering. Another thing. We wanted contactless delivery, but the deliverer knocked until I opened the door. He wanted to make sure that I got our order. If someone orders food for a certain time, it it their responsibility to be home at that time to receive the food, not the person delivering the food.

Purchased a family pack last night, and the fries were the worst we have ever had. In fact, we seldom have received decent fries from this location. Also asked for a garden salad, and all that was in the salad was chopped up lettuce, and a couple of slim slices of cheese.

I ordered a delivered meal. They state it is guaranteed to be delivered ar 6.36. It arrived at 6.50. I paid and took inside only to find out it was the wrong order. I called the store and they told me as soon as the driver got back they would resend my order. 2 hours later I still had not received. I called again and was told they had no idea what happened and would send my order right away. It has been an hour and a half, almost 10pm and still no dinner.
We had another fantastic meal. Our server, Abby and trainee, MacKenzie were attentive and totally spoiled us. The Tuesday special two can dine for $19.99 chicken dinner was amazing. We will be back.
I drove down from Ottawa and decided to stop at Swiss Chalet since its a restaurant I know well and LOVE. This was a huge mistake. Being a restaurant manager I was appalled by the service and attitude of the staff at this location. Had my staff treated a customer then way these guys treat people, they would no longer have a job. I myself was treated okay, but there was an older gentleman, who lives in Burlington and visits this location often, that was treated very poorly. All he wanted was a glass of water to take his medication and was told NO when asked and told he had to wait for his own server. Its a glass of water, anyone can get that. So I asked for a glass of water for him to the next staff member that walked by. She smiled and said sure, then came back with NO WATER! Told him someone else will bring him that. Are you kidding me. By now others in the restaurant were feeling for this old man. He was very frail and desperately needed his medication. Then MY server brought his a take out glass of water. This upset me so much that I asked to speak to management, figuring I would get a night supervisor, but still management. But what I got was a cook from the kitchen. I asked again for the manager to which this disheveled, dirty man says he was. I came right out and called him out and said Management does NOT dress this way. I was then told he was the kitchen manager. Still not falling for that, he was rude, showed no concern about the guests and just walked away. I will never return to this location, even though Im in Burlington often. The manager for this location should take note that Elizabeth (the greeter) and Matthew (kitchen staff) were not representing this store well. After I walked the old man to his car, he mentioned this is how he is always served here. That Elizabeth is very rude to him everytime he goes. He will also not be returning, nor will the guests on either side of me. Just appalling. I hope Head Office takes action and gets this location back on track. Sounds like management needs revamping.
My very 1st time going to this location yesterday for lunch and I must say it was kind of refreshing to see everything was on point. It was obvious to a blind man that my waitress, Barbara, is a seasoned vet at her job. From start to finish nothing but pure class. I m not the biggest fan of eating out due to lack of professionalism from both front and back of house but it was quite refreshing to have this skilled server wait on me. I ordered the beef sandwich with fries. Everything was hot, fresh and juicy. She passed my compliments over the managers, if I m not mistaken they were Marta and Kinsey? They were both equally as professional and genuinely happy with a simple compliment on their efficiency, staff, food and service. It s an extremely rare quality to see people like that running a restaurant especially a franchise restaurant and ESPECIALLY these days as most lack these traits. This is definitely going to be my go to place from now on as long as people like them are around.
This is not a review against the food, but rather the way in which things are being run at least for online orders, customer service is unfortunately extremely horrid and the store manager was fed up with them too. I had a 15 dollar credit on my account because some drivers were intentionally skipping the scene points menu to speed up the transaction, so the manager gave me a credit. To use this credit however, I had to first reach out to the call center who would then call the store to get it applied to an order, easy enough right? Nope far from it, 20 calls and 3 days later this was done for me, I have never ever been an irate caller, but that horrid call center managed to make me one, the agent wasnt able to reach the manager or restaurant by phone, however when i called them, I was able to instantaneously, when i told them this they said they werent able to and to get a hold of them the next day, tried the next day, same thing, i was able to reach the manager but they werent, 3rd day SAME THING, so I lost it, Im like Im able to reach them why cant you guys? the agent tells me can you please initiate a conference call between the restaurant and us I was like seriously?? Even then i told the agent I tried doing that but it didnt work, at the end of the call I just told the agent I need to speak to her supervisor, she obviously didnt like that and started telling me Ive already told you I cant get through and Im not lying I told her I didnt care and just wanted to speak to the supervisor, finally got a hold of the supervisor who literally tells me you do know the restaurant can email us right? I told her you do realize Im the customer right? you shouldnt be telling me this, Im literally doing your jobs for youll and not even getting paid. Thats their level of professionalism and Ive recorded every single call with them as proof, when the customer has to be the middle man between the restaurant and the call center, thats when you know its a place to avoid. Well last time I order from here, quality of food is definitely not worth this sort of hassle. Food: 3.75/5 Customer service: -10/5

how do i put this in an internet-friendly-child-accessible manner? this locations only saving grace was that the food was still passable even after sitting unattended at the pick-up counter for over an hour. ill start the actual review with a disclaimer: the day we had our little mishap with swiss chalet on brant was the last one we had to spend with our family dog of 13yrs before it was time to say goodbye. swiss chalet had always been his favourite treat; he loved their chicken. now, let me paint you a picture. september 7th, 2023. the sun was shining, the wind was blowing, and swiss chalet was on our minds. my dad always ordered on the app; it was the easiest way for him to plan out what to get. otherwise hed get frustrated having to ask the cashiers to repeat themselves (he refuses to wear his hearing aids), et cetera. no problems, the order went through, and it was going to be ready in 20ish minutes. it said, on the order confirmation he was sent via email, that he was to wait in his car at the restaurant for a message regarding the delivery of his curbside pickup. pretty standard, right? wed done this many times before at the one on fairview with no issues whatsoever. so imagine our displeasured surprise when an hour goes by before my dad receives an update on the order: at some point, without pinging his phone, the delivery method was switched to the takeout counter. according to one of the employees, theyd been having issues with their messaging tablet they use to communicate with queuing customers. now, im not blaming the store for technical issues, everyone has them. what i am upset about is that they made absolutely no effort to see if he was in the designated curbside spot once he didnt come inside after--need i stress again--an hour. my dad had figured they were just really busy, so he had afforded them the benefit of the doubt. which he, after the fact, regretted. the food wasnt even warm by the time we got it. i recognize that not everything is going to run smoothly in a fast-paced work environment, particularly in the food industry (and around the dinner-rush). i can speak from my own time as a fast-food worker. the idea is to get things out as quickly as possible. unfortunately, that tends to sacrifice quality as a result. sadly in the case of this swiss chalet, they lacked heavily in the latter two. however, i believe that reviews should pass along more than just criticism, but also offer suggestions from a consumers point-of-view on how to improve a patrons overall experience. if the employees managing online/call-in orders could work on improving their lines of communication to ensure the efficacy of the department, i do believe that may entice the general public to continue bringing their service to that location. whether it be through the passage of information in the franchisees chain of command, or even just reaching out to the customer through the method of contact provided in the order if something changes in the order itself. coming full-circle in this blurb, ozzy passed peacefully by euthanization in my moms arms the next day. and even if we werent satisfied with our order or service that evening; he enjoyed the chicken regardless.
3 orders in the last 3 months, 2 have been missing food. I ve never had this many issues\problems ordering take out from any other establishment.
Either problems in the kitchen or poor supervision the service was horrible. Even had to wait for the check!

Im not really a fan of Swiss Chalet chicken. I just find that the chicken has very little taste. I also find that the chicken portions are getting smaller.
I cannot get anyone to answer the phone. I called 25 min before close and cannot place an order. Pure lazyness. Wont be ordering from here ever again

I found the food very good, but the service could of been faster. I think the poor girl needed help honestly see she had 7 tables. But she did her best. Hire more people.
Not sure what happened to Swiss Chalet. Always a favorite as a kid and a great family restaurant. This location is terrible. The chairs are the most uncomfortable plastic chairs ever and the place was just renovated. You couldnt spring for proper dining chairs. The food was not at all up to the same standard as Swiss Chalet has always been. My meal was not even made properly however it took so long to get it I wasnt sending it back. All this and it is so much money. Totally not worth it. Buy a cooked chicken from a grocery store so much better than what Swiss Chalet is now. Too bad, it was one of my go to places.
I dont think Ive gotten the Swiss for takeout since they stopped using plastic containers. Visited tonight. Ordered via the kiosk which was brutal. Makes the ones at McDonalds look like they are designed for toddlers. Several other folks needed assistance and the friendly teen working that area was happy to offer her assistance. My food was ready quickly enough, However they missed one of my drinks and the overall quality of the chicken was meh. It was cooked but the skin was pale and greasy and overall it had no wasnt that tasty. The sauce also has either changed it was made wrong... Like a really thick gravy

Ordered some chicken fingers and salad on Uber eats today. Food quality was fresh and tasted fine, but the worker who packed my order I guess forgot the cutlery. Also my ceaser salad was stuffed into a small container so it was hard to mix without stuff falling out. Maybe get some bigger takeout containers?

We had a big group of 17 people. We were efficiently served by Barb who managed to keep track of all our orders and was super friendly.
Not sure what happened to Swiss Chalet, we order every year for the festive special, Ordered the family chicken feast $50+, this is the smallest chicken I have ever seen, butter container for sizing on half the chicken - which was incredibly dry the fries were not even full - never again, complete rip off
Food is good however don t ever try and get a refund. I was charged twice through the app. Called head office who said they would take care of it. Ten days later called again and they said it was the restaurant that was taking care of it. Two days later called the restaurant who said it was head office that should have provided all info for refund but they didn t. He apologized and said they would refund me right away. When I finally got my refund, it s the amount of food, not including the tip. I m all for tipping however if you mistakenly charged me twice, I expect the FULL amount to be refunded! Pretty disgusted with Swiss chalet right now!!!

So we LOVE Swiss in our family but this location is not run very well. They ran out of chicken once. Wouldn t accept cash another time. Forgot to send buns with our order another time. It s always something. The food is always good but the service is lacking. They don t deliver great customer service either. I only use this location for the drive thru. And they finally fixed their window. That took quite the while.
The owner offered us $50 off our next meal, on Feb 21st, it was nice that they told us that they were permanently closing. Thank you for continuous horrible customer service!
Typical Swiss Chalet fare, great service. Unfortunately some of the menu items we tried to order were not available that night but the rest of the experience was great. This location has plenty of parking and is in a very convenient location. The restaurant is clean and well maintained, with friendly attentive staff.
Very poor service. Rude wait staff. Half closed restaurant right before Christmas. We got a discount on the meal and had to return to the location to get the cash - no-one asked why. We will not return.
I generally enjoy Swiss chalet, but never again at the brant st location in Burlington. Had the fish and it was like cardboad, they forgot the sides, and the server was awful. Stick with the chicken and ribs Swiss chalet or get a new cook and server who like the job!
Waited 10 minutes in drive thru for cold quarter chicken meal. Also not sure if they cheesy pull apart loaf has changed but what a received is not worth the price I paid.
Went through drive thru,.never again. Asked if the two can dine was still on and was greeted with a NOPE nothing more. I should have driven off then but we ordered and the staff including the manager were all very disinterested in us. After pulling my debit card back she tells me it didnt go through but there is no copy of a cancelation. I know this is interacts problem but she could have looked to confirm before taking the machine so I could visibly see. Ended up being no issue but the blatant lack of customer service has me now going elsewhere
Had a bad experience, I called and complained so they gave me a credit. Just went back for my free dinner and had another bad experience. Ordered kids sliders and in the photo it showed two tiny burger but a huge double burger came ... And there were other issues too

Iv been ordering from Swiss chalet for years!!!! And then this happend. Ordered Two chicken and ribs combos, and sweet potato fries. Aswell as a quarter chicken dinner for our daughter, plus 3 desserts. We get the order, 1 chicken is missing, no rib sause, no chipotle sauce for the sweat potato fries, They sent us a bag full of cutlery ( 15 packs) and a bag full of sour cream? ( 10) but we didnt order any baked potatoes. I called to complain that I spent $85 and they couldnt even send the entire order, then the man says I. Being rude so he hung up on me. I called back and a very nice lady said she is rush sending the rest of the order.... That was 45 min ago.... Nothing yet.... What a disgrace. Seriously? $85 for a stressful experience. Never again! And I will see to it that I let everyone on my social group is aware of your horrible service.
My order was placed on line but two items on it were not in stock and I found this out on a voice message on my phone. The person who called did not bother to check the name on the order because when I initially heard the message I thought it was for someone else. The order came within the time I was given. The bread rolls were not as ordered and so hard they were inedible. Sadly the fries looked and tasted as though they had been reheated, not at all appetizing.

DO NOT TRUST HOURS LISTED ANYWHERE!!!!! Google hours say 10pm as does all signage on-site. Swiss Chalet online lists dining room hours till 9pm (we were refused seating at 8:10pm). One would assume this means the takeout and drive thru would be open until 10pm - it does not!!! With things getting back to a new normal it is beyond time for hours to be sorted out and stuck to and not seemingly at the whim of the employees working each evening. Also, go during typical peak times as you will get the long term staff who are always lovely. Off peak hours bring you rude and dismissive staff who have zero interest in showing any basic manners to the people keeping them employed (CUSTOMERS).
I had the half chicken meal Along with perogies to start with. My meal was very tasty and fresh. Roza Was an excellent server. She was attentive and very pleasant And her recommendations were spot on. I would definitely come back to have a meal here. Good Job Roza

If I could rate this restaurant a 0, I would. This is at least the third time they have made mistakes with a delivery order which they initially tried to blame on me, and then, each other, before offering me an insincere apology and token compensation. I would not recommend this Swiss Chalet to anyone. Three strikes and you are out!
The atmosphere of this restaurant is a Kafkaesque nightmare. The service is deplorable. The staff is disrespectful. And, the manager is profoundly incompetent. (The manager was the only person in the restaurant not wearing a mask. He was also around the food of customers while assisting the CSR at the till. Take this for what you will. However, we are in the middle of a second wave of COVID-19, at the time of this review.) The man in front of me ordered a half chicken and three fiestas only to have an order filed for a whole chicken. Another customer rapped a bun on a table and complained it was hard as a rock. I will not bother further elucidating how much of a waste of time ordering from this establishment was. Just do yourself a favor. Order from the Swiss Chalet on Fairview Street or stop by Mary Browns Chicken. Even the nearby Mount Royal Plaza has better restaurants with respectable, competent staff who do not use holiday schedules as an excuse for failing to honour their committments or blame their customers for their own mistakes. 0/5. This should say -10. This is the second order they messed up. This one cost me $80 for wine I did not receive and when I try to reach the store, (called for 3 hrs straight) no one answers the phone. Then sent and charged me for 3 specials for 2 with wine(no wine sent) and I got 3 chicken dinners. I ordered several other bottles of wine to prevent hitting liquor store this month. NO wine sent at all. When I asked the driver if wine was in one of the bags, he said yes. Someone took my wine and Head office won t deal with it because I paid the driver cash. What a rip off. Stay clear of their delivery service!!!
Well this restaurant industry just doesnt care i can see . Raw chicken (dark meat ) and the order was completely wrong . Customer service said that they will reorder the meal of 5 and yet no meal . Oh thats right they close at 9 so thats why we got scraps and uncooked chicken . Customer service unprofessional and just simply hung up the phone when I was on it for 2 hours remember it closes at 9 . I spent 100 for 5 people and we did not eat it and now I need to go out and order from Macdonalds. Work a 12 hour shift and treating the family so I dont cook and also supporting local restaurants i ordered from here wow. Customer service very disgusting with using like to feed you lies . Please everyone do not order from the industry lets not support them and than maybe we will get better food for the price .
Ordered 2 festive specials, 40 minutes ahead of time online, for pickup. Arrived on time, checked in and had to wait 15 minutes in the parking lot for it to come out. By the time it arrived, it was cold, the fries were brown, withered and inedible.
I was never treated so bad in a restaurant in my life. Food was cold, we waited 40 minutes and the owner and our waitress showed a complete lack of respect for my friends and I.

Unclean, slow service, horrible food! Ordered ribs, they were inedible. Didnt see the waitress for 15 minutes, so I didnt have time to order anything else. Everyone else was finished eating already. Also, apparently, cleaning the bathroom floors is not a priority there, disgusting establishment!
My family and friends went to restaurant about 3 weeks ago. We were in rush so we did ask to serve us ASAP. There were 7 people, paying 2 separate bills. I honestly cant even think of going back to Swiss Chalet ever in the future - that location... NEVER. It was a disaster. Here are the issues: - Server was rude (A...q) - Manager was inexperienced and unable to resolved the situation (K.....n) - All dishes arrived randomly with starters being served LAST. - Plates were set randomly so we had to sort them out, mine was placed at an empty chair next to me despite space available in from of me. - Despite the rush food arrived almost COLD - Half of the dishes were chipped and likely posed safety risks - especially to the staff and kids. - The server forgot to take the order from my daughter. When we asked for her attention she replied now you have to wait... - The owner wasnt present. - the restaurant was run ... without a bit of professionalism by a bunch of teenagers. Then the conspiracy started. The server has loudly said (so other could hear) they complain because they dont want to pay. After complaining to the manager, manager said that we should pay and go... The cherry on top, was when the server told us we were the worst customers she has aver had. Well we paid and left. I share the servers feelings. It was the worst dinging experience that I remember.... ever.

Great experience. Ordered takeaway. Food was ready precisely when it was supposed to be ready, which was great because it meant I wasnt waiting and it wasnt sitting. Food was fantastic, fries were crispy, ribs and chicken were hot. All this and it appeared that the restaurant was busy, people waiting for tables and people waiting for their takeaway orders. I am impressed, well worth the drive.

It has been over a week & we are still waiting for. a phone call from the Main Office or the important MANAGER taking care of the Burlington outlet, no satisfaction at all, SHAME SHAME! We had been to this location years ago and it wasnt a great experience but we thought wed try it again. Terrible service!! We definitely will never return this time. The restaurant was half empty on a Saturday night yet the hostess had a waiting list going. Very confusing!
Food as usual as other Swiss Chalet. Arrived at the front, took more than 3 minutes before being seated. Staffs were not very attentive nor gave us the welcome feeling. Saw a couple of seniors who waited for some time and seated by themselves at the entrance table. After some time, one, seemed like a supervisor or manager, approached them and asked re no menu nor staff to serve them; the response from the supervisor was you should have waited to be seated. A bit funny to me as no one was there to seat them, given we waited for some time too. Not extremely busy there. So short of staff was not a good excuse.
