Korean style Chinese food Opened February 16th 2020 Thank you for visiting our Google page Please come try our delicious food π μ ν¬ νκ΅ μ΄λ¦μ 88λ°μ μ λλ€
Iβm Korean and this food is mediocre at best. Ordered the black bean noodles which had zero wok flavour, and noodles were too soft and mushy. Felt like the food came straight out of the microwave. Price is alright but would not return nor would I ever bring any of my Korean friends to this place. There are much better places out there. The TV was blasting Kpop music at deafening volume levels. Parking also sucks big time as itβs mainly paid street parking. The other reviewers here have no idea what good Korean food is supposed to taste like.
The black bean noodles are really good. The sweet and sour pork is crispy and tasty as well. But you should know that the pork can be shared with at least four people! But it worth a try!
Been here a couple of times. Noodles are tasty and loaded with ingredients. Sweet and sour chicken not bad, just batter a bit thick. Portions are large and reasonable priced.
I ordered the 88 noodle soup, a generous portion packed with beef, prawns, squid, and fresh veggies. The broth was rich and simply delicious, making the whole meal a satisfying experience. The noodles were soft and complemented the flavorful broth perfectly. The price point was fair for the quality and quantity. Service was friendly and attentive. The constant K-pop playing on the TV created an authentic Korean atmosphere, making you feel like you've been transported straight to Korea.
Pretty good food here. Our dishes came out in reasonable time and they were well prepared. Portion size was respectable and service was stellar. Parking nearby is really tricky but overall we would like to comeback here. Their jjambong and jajjangmyun were quite nice with good ingredients. Give this place a try if you are in mood for Korean style Chinese food.
When my friend and I first time came here, the service was good. We order black bean noodles and chili seafood noodles. It's pretty delicious, the Chili seafood noodles like Chinese 倧滷麡. We were full and also liked Earl Grey tea.
The food and the service are really good. The price is very reasonable. Th fried chicken is so yummy and I loved the spicy seafood soup. The portion wa so big that two of us couldn't finish the whole thing. The atmosphere could be better, sme renovations might help a bit but it's not something that will stop me of going there again. I would definitely go there again to have that yummy fried chicken and the spicy noodle soup π The black beans noodles dish was also delicious. The noodles in both dishes were very good felt like a homemade noodles.
My wife and daughters have been here few times and finally decided to bring me along for lunch. Chinese style Korean food was good! Do the combo A or B, you are getting the best value. It is spacious inside and seats are comfortable. Not too noisy so we liked it.
When there arent many choices at night, this one is pretty good, but its a lot starchy, so Ill definitely take it away.
The portion of the food is quite sufficient, but the taste is mediocre. If you like Chinese food, it is better to go home and learn to cook it yourself. I feel that no matter how cheap the price is, it will not be more cost-effective than cooking it yourself, or buy a premade microwave-heated version, which is available in this store. The taste should be suitable for a convenience store, most of the food is quite unnecessary to my taste. The seafood noodles taste pretty good, comparable to Soup Master, and the sweet and spicy chicken is pretty good. The texture of the chicken chai is well preserved, allowing me to taste that Im eating chicken.
Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing, but the beef stir-fry with rice was a major disappointment. Dried-out grisly beef cooked with mostly onions and a scoop of rice. Not worth $17. Maybe $7.
I just ordered delivery, but the quantity is too small... . Im disappointed that it costs $30.
Its not that Jjamppong doesnt taste good, but at least its not the Jjamppong I know.
One of the best black bean noodles in Burnaby
Very delicious with a good price and good portion size. Their fried rice is amazing.
Jjajang and Jjamppong are both delicious. The amount of Jjamppong is huge.
The portion is huge! I like to order a combo (3dishes) and take some home Food
Korean Chinese food with big portions. The black bean and jjampong are pretty average for Vancouver standards. Tangsuyuk is good though.
the food is great but the radish side dish is what will keep me coming!!
This is a very important Korean restaurant in Burnaby. It felt like I was eating a course meal, not a combo, with old-style Jjajangmyeon, Jjamppong with plenty of seafood and meat, and Kkanpunggi. Please keep this taste for a long time. The location is good and the price is reasonable too.
Even though the taste has changed, it has also changed a lot. Its been my favorite place to eat out for several years, so I went three more times, thinking the taste would come back over time. All three times were tasteless so I gave up. At the end, the jjajang tasted like 3-minute jjajang. Im at a loss for words
Seated very quickly. Ordered combo c and an extra dish for 4 people. Food was tasty and came quickly. Price was less than $20/person which is a deal nowadays! Waitress filled our water jug regularly which we needed because the noodles were . Clean and organized. Definitely go again
Delicious food, mediocre service, it takes longer than expected to get a bowl of noodles despite it being a noodle restaurant. Great value though! I got the chili shrimp and it was coated in a layer of mayonnaise, I would ve requested less sauce if I had known.
Jjamppong is really delicious!!
Slow service, big portions
It was so good
The texture of sweet and sour pork was good, but the sauce was too light for me, but I view it positively. The Jjamppong soup was different from what I was used to, it was a bit cloudy in color as if it had been mixed with milk, but there seemed to be a lot of ingredients inside. I was a little disappointed that it didnt have a spicy taste. The fried rice wasnt bad, but it didnt have that spicy taste, so it tasted like something you could make at home. I want to try Jjajangmyeon next time
Deep fried sweet and sour pork was rancid... Smelled like vomit and was not deep fried, it was very mushy. Dont recommend, go to Soju Restaurant instead!!!
pretty good place. taste is good and the price reasonable.
This place is really good at sweet and sour pork jjajangmyeon
Good place to go get a late night bubble tea.. great location and busy all the time
The overall amount has been reduced. The taste is above average.
Good noodles, not too salty has very good sauce. Chicken was fabulous! Place can have a bit more of a touch up for better ambiance.
The server was very kind and nice. However, one thing that is disappointing is that the taste of the food has changed too much. Not only did the taste change, but rather than the appearance, the noodles changed to just ready-made noodles (they were kind of like kalguksu. And the water wasnt squeezed well, so they were covered in water under the jjajang), and the jjajang jjamppong didnt taste the same as before. The only thing that maintained quality was the sweet and sour pork and the rest was really bad. If you are thinking about going to the old 88 Banjeom, it would be better to just not go unless you want to eat sweet and sour pork. Or, experience it yourself and leave a review.
Black bean noodles are yummy. Price is very decent
Best place for budget noodles that taste great
The servers are friendly, but the pork cutlet meat and sauce are not very good.
That kind of corner restaurant that is good at one or two amazing dishes! Where do I find such one in Canada!! The best seafood noodle in the world.
88 noodle house has stolen my heart. I ll come back more often. I had the fried rice and chilli chicken. I really loved the chilli chicken, it was just the right amount of sweetness. The fried rice was also good.
The cooks go outside and smoke its disgusting, they leave thier smoke butts all over the pace on the neighboring properties. Then come in and cook our food. Its so smelly too as it drifts inside.
I cant figure out the inconsistency in their food. Sometimes you get watered down jjamppong and sometimes you get it super salty. Their portions are pretty random too. When they get it right though, its great.
3.5/5 the portion is generous for me, especially since we ordered a combo. I love seafood soup, but the sweet chilli deep-fried chick was wrapped with heavy batter.
Look at the picture. Thanks to the poor packaging service, it ruined my vehicle. When I open the package container and the lid isnt compatible at all. How did they use this Fxxx material !! If the lid doesnt fit, shouldnt you at least use food wrap? No conscience. !!
Too dry, no taste, not edible. A big spider web hang on the ceiling. Food : 3/5
Large portions and very tasty foods!! Get a combo. Its worth your money
I had Combo A, but the Jjajangmyeon was of the quality of a school lunch, the sauce for the sweet and sour pork was sour that it wasnt good, and there was hair in the bowl containing the sweet and sour pork. The first cup they gave me was foreign, as if it hadnt been washed properly. rust? It was a mess, and soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper powder were not provided. I dont think Ill be coming again.
Jjampong is amazing!! 9/10! Jjangmyeon was underwhelming I think (maybe I had too high of an expectation) 7.5/10 Korean chicken 7.5/10 it had too much batter I think
Yummy and reasonible price :)
We heard their Black bean noodle is really good, so we went and tried and it s true as they said the chilli noodle surprises me cause it wasn t the typical Korean spicy, it s more like Thai food spicy? Anyway I like them both! We got the combo A, so it comes with sweet and sour pork which we think it s just ok. But it s a great value, since both of the noodles are in such a big portion.
We ordered fried chickens here. Love the crispy and flavourful taste of it. The portion is big for 2 of us so we could save them as left over for the next day. Definitely recommend trying out their fried chickens!
Food is so good! The host was very kind and friendly as well. Parking: Street parking only. Food : 5/5 |
Black bean noodles was very good
The most impressive one is the service.
It doesnt taste good and the service is not good. What a gutsy business.
Big portions and food tastes great! service was not too good though
The art of sweet and sour pork is really great delicious. Life sweet and sour pork Jjambbong is average
patience training center
We ordered black bean noodles, seafood soup, seafood fried rice and sweet and spicy chicken. The chicken is very tender, seafood soup noodle very flavorful. Overall food is very good. The price is very good. A bit short staffed but they try their best.
The food here is always a 5/5 stars. Sweet chilli fried chicken is always freshly fried and consistently great. Best black bean noodles in Vancouver so far.
I had an extremely unpleasant experience with their customer service, and it was the worst Ive ever encountered. Ive decided not to visit this restaurant again due to the frustration caused by their ineffective customer service skills.
Food tastes okay portion got smaller, and noodles tasted different got worse... Most of all Worst customer service. Food
The taste is above average, but the people serving it are very unfriendly. They are so unkind.
The service is the worst. Not only did he not smile, but while I was eating all my food, the kimchi pancake didnt come out, so I asked the server about it and he answered very rudely. I asked for cold water four times and red pepper powder twice. The desk is creaky, the food doesnt come out, its the worst, the kkanpunggi tastes burnt + salty, and the jjajang jjamppong is just so-so.
Delicious and hot food each time
Love all the food here!
sauce is good but no meat really just a ton of onions
Food is really tasty and the staff are nice. I usually go there after work. They are always welcoming and make the food ready in time. Thank you :)
Good choice for quick dinner ! Like the black bean noodles Only thing is the onion in the dishes didn t cook well
I didnt know that if you eat alone you dont deserve side dishes.
Great portion!! Super tasty dishes!! And superb service and care even when you take out the left over.
Really nice waitresses. If you need water or extra napkins, raise your hand and ask! They dont mind, and they also allowed us to split the bill/did it for us.
Korean style
The portions are plentiful and the Jjamppong, Jjajang, sweet and sour pork are not missing. Highly recommended.
Decent priced for a good portion of Korean comfort foods. You really can t go wrong. Combo b1 filled our family up and we still had to take home some stuff!
Food
This is a Korean-style Chinese restaurant. No failure!
Ive been there a total of 6 times so far, and I havent had a bad experience since my first visit. During busy times, the servers were really unfriendly and brought the food to us like they were just throwing it at us. Whats worse than the unfriendliness is that only one dish of the food you ordered comes out. A personal menu is presented, and by the time the person who ordered that menu has finished eating, another persons menu appears. The fried dumplings, sweet and sour pork, and kkanpunggi that you order to share are served toward the end of the meal. In the end, I couldnt finish this main menu, so I packed it up and brought it home. This happened 4 times during a total of 6 visits. The food is delicious. So I went. But I dont want to go any further. I dont plan on using it anymore because of the unfriendliness and ridiculous food service.
Taste: I heard it was delicious in the past (especially the sweet and sour pork), but now Im not sure why. I wasnt sure about it at first, but the more I tried it, the more I used the seasoning, so the unpleasant and dry taste persisted after the meal. Serving order: If there are a large number of people, the dishes must be served first and the food must be served (even if there is a longer wait) so that the group can eat comfortably. However, there is no order at all, so it is just tossing the food as it is served. (*Even when bringing one meal) Service: I dont want to talk about much. It would be a good idea to try Korean-style and Chinese restaurants in areas other than Burnaby, where they are friendly and even predict what you need in advance. For reference, Ive used this place about 10 times for in-store dining, delivery, etc., but I dont want to use it if its not close. Especially when eating at a restaurant, there is no waiting line, but I wish people would refrain from roughly moving the dishes away as if to tell them to hurry up as the meal is ending.
Compared to Korea, it is more expensive, but the quantity is huge. As it is a Chinese restaurant, they have sets so it is perfect for three people.
I had fried gyoza and the taste was amazing. Loved it!! The staff was very polite and helpful. Thank you for an amazing experience I had.
The food here was so good. The black bean noodles definitely had a lot of flavour as well as the soup. The noodles also were a bit chewy which is perfect! Overall the experience was great.
Super long waiting, Don t even think about ordering pickup In this restaurant, they will only start making your food until they finish all the dine in.
Really good dining experience. We ve been here many times. All their menu items are fairly good. Very reasonable price. Reasonable and friendly service. Around meal time it gets fairly busy. Would definitely recommend if you are in Metrotown area and want to try Korean noodles.
I wanted to hold out for the second time i visited this place there are some things that caught my attention when i visited this place the second time around we ordered the soups 88 pal pal and also the spicier version. The flavours is good, gives off that stir-fry taste but soup version. The downsides are that the squid comes out rubbery and there are just wayyyyy tooo much onions that it becomes an onion soup than a noodle soup. Dont get us wrong, we looove onions in our dishes but i think it just becomes too much it over powers the other components of the dishes and its like every bite i take is onions on top of onions. We also ordered the stir fry beef on rice and the stir-fry flavor is lacking and you guessed it more onions than the meat or veg. The flavors are goood but not the best. You can always improve and make it better. Also to add, we ordered the sweet spicy chicken and it was really good and the size for a combo is HUGE AF. Worth it though. Oh yeah, the sizes are pretty big for what you get its nice the bigger the better right? And also the service was awesome given the fact there was only two servers and it was a full house (love to see it)
Good set meal
Ok, as many reviews are positive, I must say it may come down to personal preference. But as for many people just eating food not growing up with it, they may not know the difference. My review on the food is 1 out of 5. Portion was decent, and quantity control was good. However, the taste of noodle was overcooked, and spicy seafood soup tasted more of bone soup rather than how they usually make spicy jamppoong soup. The seafood usually has the fire taste if they wok the content before but no taste i could find in that soup. The black been sauce was okay, not the best. Bit waterly i find. Basically, harmony of food did not play as it should be if you were selling what the restaurant was standing for. I feel pity to say the chef dont really know how to make authentic black bean noodles and jjampong soup, which is the most basic of that cuisine. I felt a waste of my money after dining in. I would rather drive extra miles to lougheed and eat the same food that will make me feel good. Hope in time they can really work on their skills or recruit a pro that knows how to cook better than what they do right now. Until then, not going back..
Jjajang jjamppong, sweet and sour pork, fried rice, and dumplings are delicious and clean. The staff are also friendly
Very good restaurant, I tried the Gado Gado salad. Super fresh with aromatic peanut sauce. Definitely suited my taste!!
Changing my review from 3 to 5 stars. I ve been ordering here again and it seems like it has gotten a lot better! It s been consistently good but will be watching for any future discrepancies. Changing my review again from 1 to 3 stars. They re getting better :) CHANGING MY REVIEW FROM 5 to 1 STAR. Original Review: I was so happy to find this place near by so I don t have to go all the way to lougheed. I called to get a take out order but they offered free delivery. I ordered combo C and jjajangmyun was the best! Edited Version: We used to be regulars here and used to order once a week. They knew that we always ordered often and was being friendly to us. PROBLEM, they took my order wrong once and I called them and said they gave us extra stuff so they can come back and pick it up. Unfortunately, they already charged us for the extra food that wasn t supposed to be there. Instead of issuing a refund, they said they will keep a $20 credit for us to use. Following week, we made another large order but they didn t let us use the $20 credit and instead they were pushing to give us free item that costed $8. Then I said okay fine, I didn t want to argue. When I got the food, we noticed that the deep fried pork (tangsooyook) we always order had really poor quality this time compared to all our past orders. The fried pork were mostly hallow and they made the small pieces of pork look large by adding significant amount of batter. Also I gave them $10 tip for just a take-out order to show support during covid.....so many regrets if I think about it now. I felt like they didn t appreciate the fact that we were always supporting them by making a weekly order. After this incident I never made another order again. I feel that s it s wrong to treat a regular customer this way. Customers are not dumb.
Insane. Super tasty.
Bad service. The older lady server was rude as hell.
Reasonable price
Im so glad i saw this place while driving by Metrotown - the food is delicious! We ordered the 88 Noodle soup dish for $15. The soup has a lot of flavour blended together from different ingredients and not too salty. Its a whole meal on its own with lots of noodles, squid pieces, a bit of vegetables, and lots and lots of onion slices. We also ordered the seafood fried rice for $15 with shrimp, squid, and egg.
Big servings and good quality for the price, theres also unlimited side dishes! If youre sitting in a secluded area, you do have to walk out to get service or the servers attention but they are quick to respond.
And I would subtract two starts from there... First, say hi to customers first. Make us feel welcome. Second, eye contact and smile to customers. Thats one of your duties. Third, do not throw menu or food on the table. The worst one. Fourth, if we dont pay tips, thats because of your unprofessional attitudes. Obviously! Learn from other servers at local restaurants. NO SERVICE, NO TIPS. Do not forget, youre representing your people in Canada.
Korean style Chinese food in Metrotown area, never go wrong with combo D1 , all the dish is delicious and worth the price. The house pickles is so good with the fried chicken
Some of the most delicious noodles ever!
Spice seafood noodles
Good place to have Korean chinese cuisine around burnaby area. When I visit, the blackbean sauce was too salty. Rest foods were good !
Generous portions, and they didnt skimp out on the shrimp for the fried rice! Their version of jjamppong had a spiced bone broth base, which lent it a nice kick without the typical greasiness. Good stuff.
Excellent food for value, but they need to work on customer service and interior design I tipped 20% because I have two babies who made quite a mess. Food
I ordered their Black Bean Noodle and the 88 Chili Noodle. Both are just okay. Not so good but definitely not bad. The portion are quite big for the price and maybe good for 2-3 people. I just hope they add more ingredients especially the main: seafood, beef, and/or pork. I think I can only count how many pieces of seafood that I had for my 88 Chili Noodle and also the meat for the Black Bean Noodle. Good customer service especially the young guy, hes very attentive and friendly.
Such quantity of food in this economy?! Crazy. Their fried chicken is absolutely bomb.
Tried it for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised. The noodle was quite tasty.
Delicious spicy seafood noodles. Portions are very large for its price!
bland
Vibe is very family restaurant with booths from the 80s/90s. The food is good, and servings are very, very large. I like the jajangmyeon especially. Great value.
The food is tasty and great value, very worth going if you like Korean Chinese food, I wish they had kimchi but the banchans are pretty good
Good
Athentic Korean chinese food with great price! Highly recommend :)
Food and service was great, quick food respectful staff everything was perfect
The tables are for 4 people, maybe 5 if you dont mind squishing together. Aside from that, its fantastic for its Korean Chinese food! Id definitely recommend going with some friends and getting their Family Combos and having a try of a few different things. A combo will serve maybe 3-4 people depending on how much you eat. I especially love their Chili Seafood Noodle (jjamppong) which is flavourful with beef and lots of seafood! Parking: Right outside is paid street parking, but further away or across the street you can find free street parking.
Typical
Very yummy place for comfort style Korean food. It s not really Chinese-Korean fusion but does contain small Chinese elements in their cooking. Overall though, it s a solid Korean eatery with great prices, big portions and great service. The menu isn t big by Korean standards but what they do they do it well. Kid-friendliness: It s a family friendly place.
Good food, combos are great for sharing! Loved the black bean noodles.
Best place for Korean food
Food always consistently good and taste the same. Price and amount of food you get is consistent. Large portions. Usually get some 3 dish combo around $60. One incident where we had to ask for the bill and takeout box a couple times but they were busy and running around to serve customers to their best of their ability. Other times its been great! 10/10 recommend. Will edit this and add photos next time I come!
Its so unfriendly... I kept trying to raise my hand to order, but the server didnt even look at me and just minded his own business.. I was just waiting, but I was so upset that I couldnt even taste the food. And I ordered a set, but the timing of the food coming out was so big that it came out just as the food I already ordered had cooled down. And please dont throw the side dish plate when it is handed to you. When the pickled radish was thrown, it slightly hit the floor, so I threw away only that part, but I felt so bad. With that uncomfortable feeling, I ate it because I was going to pay, but I thought I was acting like I was eating it. I pay about $60 for a meal, but if they treat me like this, I honestly dont want to go again...
The quantity is less than expected and the taste is not good. There wasnt a single cut of seasoning on the noodles. Very disappointing for the price. Parking must also be street parking.
Everyone in the reviews said it was a great restaurant, so I went there with high expectations. Are the noodles boiled for a long time rather than being springy? I felt it Because they used kalguksu noodles, it didn t taste like jjajangmyeon. Also, there wasnt any seasoning on the noodles, and the overall seasoning was boring... The jjamppong didnt taste bad at all. If the price was right for this kind of taste, it would have been better, but the price is not cheap, so I dont think Ill go again. Looking at the photo, it looks delicious, right? Dont be fooled by my photos.. Im good at taking photos. Dont go..
Update: Pretty good Korean food, but unfortunately the service is absolutely unacceptable. TWICE we went a bit later in the night, well before closing or last call, and they gave us attitude both times. Thinking we cannot understand Korean, they were saying behind our backs how they better give us a lot of tips for coming so late. Well, I made sure that didnt happen.
I wanted to give it a 0 star if there is such option. I ordered 2 black bean noodles and 1 black bean rice. Picked up the order without even looking. When I got home, I found I just got 1 noodle and 1 white rice with black bean sauce In the description, obviously it is supposed to be fried rice.. firs time here and also my last time.
Great price and great food. Authentic Korean spicy seafood noodle. Kid-friendliness: Great for family and friend. Friendly staff Food : 5/5 |
Jjajangmyeon combo with sweet and sour pork, great value for money!!!!!!
Good portions - black bean noodle was good but somewhat typical, jjampong had a good amount of ingredients including beef slices but was not very spicy. Sweet + Spicy Fried Chicken was decent but had a lot of batter.
My favorite Korean black bean noodles! Authentic and delicious. The portion sizes are quite big too. The food came in pretty fast.
*updated review* I had a family lunch here on Saturday. My parents wanted some black bean noodles without having to go to Coquitlam so we went to 88. We ordered Combo C and ordered double portion of Jajangmyun. There was about 20minutes of waiting until food arrived. Jajangmyun (black bean noodle) was good. Spicy chicken was good just that some meats had thick batters. Meat portion was okay. Jjambbong had some beef and seafood toppings. I liked the spice level, but my mom wanted it to be little bit spicy. Portion seemed little small for 4 of us. Noodles were store-bought not handmade I think. Overall experience was okay. Could ve got the bigger portion if I dined at Heeraedeung or Chui Hong in Surrey.
Order the 88 chill noodle it s fantastic!
Typical Korean food. Delicious japchae..
All the foods are so great! One of the must-eat restaurant in Vancouver.
Servers that seemed friendly or not and uncooked fried rice.. Sweet and sour pork was delicious. Parking is available for a fee inside the building.
They have good food at a reasonable price.
We were at the metrotown mall when we ve decided to do a quick search for restaurants around the area. This is hands down the best chinese-korean fusion in town. We ve had the jajangmyeon, fried chicken, and jjampong. The noodles are nice and bouncy even my 2 year old appreciates it. We ve been coming back since we first had our meal here. Staff are polite and friendly and the restaurant has plenty of seats inside. Definitely recommend it.
Great value - black bean noodle and pork cutlet is always my go to.
Don t get me wrong. Foods here is great. Comes with great portion and affordable price!!! If you are looking for an affordable place that can fill you up, this is a place worth visit.
Conclusion: Love their food. this is my monthly visiting place. - their service was a bit un-organized. you need to double check when you got served dishes and plates. and hard to ask them for water or side dishes(they are busy with something. they are not looking around to find anything needs for customers.) - for (black noodle), normal one is a bit smaller than other place.(if you love this one, go for double) - for (Red noodle), this one has a lot of noodle. I love this one with Rice. - other foods are Great. try everything as much as you can.
Try the sweet sour pork.
Their black bean noodle and sweet sour pork ARE SO GOOOOOOD! ITS THE BEST BLACK BEAN NOODLES I EVER HAD
Set menu has cost-effectiveness. It is suitable for 3 people. The taste of food was nice.
The Black bean noodles and Jjambong are nice! The portion is quite big. Good for share. But the restaurant didn t have air-conditioning and not many windows for air so we were sweating while eating. Food : 4/5
Good!
Food is amazing and the price is very good. The portions are big and the service is good. A must try if your in Burnaby
I recently dined at 88 Noodle House, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The portion size was generous, and the crispy pork was a delightful treat. The savory black bean noodles were rich and flavorful, adding a perfect balance to the meal. What impressed me the most was the combo; it had enough food for three people to share, making it an incredible deal. If youre looking for delicious Korean cuisine with ample portions, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!
Korean comfort food for a great price! Excellent portion and very delicious! Different from your typical Korean food. Ordered combo A and there were leftovers even with 3 people eating it. Will definitely come back!
Great Korean food with good atmosphere and music ^^ Staff is super friendly here, and the prices arent too expensive - especially when theyre the combos. My personal favourite is the Black Bean Noodle, but the spicy seafood was also really delicious. Will definitely come here again, if I ever get the chance~
I love the black bean noodles! You will never be disappointed! Totally recommend the sour and sweet pork ;) Food : 5/5
Its one of the places I always stop by when I think of Korean and Chinese restaurants for many years, and when I first came to 88, I remember it as a jjamppong restaurant with lots of meat and a spicy flavor. As time passed, the amount decreased and increased. The taste was less, but I came back, but the same taste and service I felt for the first time, I am leaving five stars for now with the belief and support that I will come back someday and meet again. When I visited a few weeks ago. I seriously thought about never coming back again because it felt like the chef had left, but I must say that my heart came back during my last visit. These days, people think inflation is the problem with changes in quality. I hope that next time I visit, I will remember this restaurant as a triple restaurant serving delicious jjamppong, jjajang, and sweet and sour pork.
Good food, japcha was very good Pork is very large portion Food
This place is the bomb! Will be back again!
Always good
We ordered the the spicy seafood noodle soup, shrimp friend rice, and the chili shrimp. Everything was delicious, and service was quick and great. We waited about 10 min in line when we arrived there.
We enjoyed eating here 2 years ago however the service is nosediving worse after pandemic. The food keeps its quality though, the portion doesn t. If you are planning to waste over an hour to wait for them missing your order. Go ahead and enjoy! Food
Great traditional Korean food. Homie vibe. Always feel welcomed here.
Not sure if we are just inexperienced but we didn t enjoy our meals here. The squid was very chewy and the dishes were supposed to come with prawn but there was only one prawn in the dish and then bucket loads of squid which was very overpowering. Great service though, kind and friendly.
Authentic Korean food. Fast service. The portion was huge.
I ate Jjajangmyeon and Kkanpunggi. Jjajang 3.5/5 Jjajangmyeon was ordinary. I remember that it was neither too sweet nor too salty, the noodles were wide like kalguksu, and the amount of jjajang was just enough to rub the noodles together. Kkanpunggi 3/5 The Kkanpunggi batter was a bit sticky and crispy, which I liked, and didnt get soggy over time, but the sauce was too runny, as if it had been applied with a brush, and was a bit salty. However, the quantity was sufficient for the price, and if you just adjust the sweet and salty ratio and amount of the sauce, it would be a really good kkanpunggi. I had a good time.
I like their spicy seafood noodle soup. Reasonable price, good taste and large amount.
yummy
Big portions, should ve came sooner. Chicken is A+
Nice korean food. The portions are huge. Fast cooking. Food
