Butchers Block BBQ in Burnaby

Worst brisket ever! Ordered through UberEats, and it was super cold. It might be the driver s fault, but giving the food to a driver without the proper bag is the restaurant s fault. Chef, please tell me how you managed to cook such dry and tasteless brisket? Any secret? I paid $60 for brisket for two, potato salad, and two sides. I honestly wish I had thrown the money out the window.

Wet & cold brisket, fries were alright, dry cornbread, pork belly was alright, over all poor experience. Never left a bbq smoke place so unhappy

Randomly looked this place up and when I got there it was completely empty. I had ordered take out, so I was kind of unsure of the food...but let me tell you, the food was AMAZING!! I think its a shame for all of the bad reviews because people are honestly missing out on some good food. I hope this review helps this place get more customers as they deserve to be around for a long time

We order beef ribs the texture and taste was great but it will be perfect if they put more sauce on the top of the beef to become more tastier and delicious but still I will recommend to everyone to try their food it s good o price and taste good and service it s ok

Fabulous brisket, magical hot BBQ sauce

Great food, providing you love BBQ meats. If not, you should really think twice about what made you look up a place called Butchers Block BBQ. Everything was delicious, the belly bites are very delicious. Enjoy not only the meats and beans, but the slaw is good and the cornbread is great, and you are too. I forgot to say the ribs are wonderful. Though I have a rib bias

The meat tasted great though I personally think the brisket may be a tiny bit of overcooked. I am not sure if this was intended but still I really enjoyed the ribs.

I had the worst experience here. We were the first time here, and we did not know the size of the rib. So we ordered the all you can eat, and order two full ribs. When we ordered, the waitress did not give us any notifications. After we done our meal, we had to package the rest of ribs. However, the waitress said the all you can eat has already ordered, it could not be cancelled, and we need charge additional amount of two full pack ribs plus two all you can eat. I did not understand how the system works, but their attitude is awful.

They sell themselves as a backyard style BBQ and it does feel very homely and welcoming. Best BBQ sauce I ever had, give it a shot.

Im quite surprised at how high their rating is. I would have to agree with many other posts. As others have mentioned, I had their food when they once opened and its been really different since. Ordered the beef brisket and full rack of pork ribs. Pork ribs were OK, just be forewarned that the sauce or rub they use is a but spicy. The brisket on the other hand was burnt and dry. I was extremely disappointed since I spent $44 on a pound of the brisket. Ive had much better brisket elsewhere.

Excellent service! Ribs were fantastic although a bit fatty but still very tasty, brisket was out of this world so yummy, loved the big refillable lemonades!

Ive been here a few times now and the food has always been consistently great. This place is the new gold standard by which other BBQ joints will be judged in the future. Beef brisket and the cornbread are some of the best Ive ever had, and I lived south of the Mason-Dixon line for a year.

This place has the best food - very reasonably priced. Service has always been great and their portions are large too.

The food was amazing. Best BBQ I have had in a long time. I ordered a platter for one and had to stop by the ER on the way home to get an epidural so I could sleep. Ill be back.

I love the accountability our waitress / server took for a mistake, that goes a long way in my book, accommodating to kids, we live really far away so probably won t be back, definitely would recommend for a nice change of menu. Small seating area maybe holds about 20 people. Nice place!

Ordered a meat platter with brisket and sausage. Although the service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, the food was disappointing. Brisket was very dry, sausage tasted identical to johnsonville hot Italians, and the fries/cheese curds/gravy were cold. The amount of money we had to pay for such small amounts of meat was insane. Could tell that the meat had spent hours under a heating lamp. I will give them the benefit of the doubt - it was a very busy night with only server and two cooks so they probably had to work ahead to prepare. I will be back for another shot!

Great vibe, its like an indoor food truck! Not too fancy, not too dirty but if you want a nice BBQ, plus you like the pork and ribs? This is a great place for you to eat! Nice IPA beer from StemWorks! The Service was very pleasant, not too aggressive but attentive! And ....its just across from the super famous Glanburn Soda Icecream Shop!!!

I used to love this place five or more years ago, before they changed their name, but things have really gone downhill since then. It seems like they couldnt care less about their customers now. The last couple of times I went, their once-amazing brisket was painfully dry. More recently, I tried to order on a Saturday, only to find out they were closed for a private event. They didnt bother to advertise this closure on their website or anywhere else. Its become very clear to me that these people do not care about their customers anymore. Very disappointing.

Ive ordered from here twice, and both times was explosively sick (from both ends) within a couple of hours. The foods good, but dont stray too far from a toilet if youre going to eat it.

We ordered a full rib and it was supposed to have 12 bones. However, we have been served a rack with 9 bones. When we raised the issue, they didn t trust us and counted the eaten bones in our plates. It was a total disrespect.

As Texan from Austin eating BBQ from Franklins, Blacks (both), Coopers, Muller, and others Ive got thoughts. Pork belly bites were awesome 5 stars Pork ribs were good, I liked how they sauced and reheated on the grill Pulled pork a little salty and slightly dry but not to bad Brisket was dry even though we had from the point. Didnt add any sauce to the meat as I wanted to taste it vs the sauce. If they were in Austin I dont think they could compete with the top tiers, I would put them below Rudys but well above Bill Miller or Smokey Mos. Since they are in Canada and have limited competition they met my needs for BBQ and I would recommend to locals if they wanted to get an idea of what Texas BBQ is like.

If disappointment had a flavour it would be this pulled pork sandwich. How can u forget the slaw!

The restaurant was pretty empty. We were the second table and got seated. The third table came in and was given menu and water right away. We sat there stared at the waitress and wondered what was happening. We had to wave her down to give us menus and etc. The food, portion and prices were not bad though.

Really disappointed with my most recent visit. Not sure if there are new owners or what is going on, but I used to frequent butchers block quite often, I loved their pulled pork sandwiches, but with all this inflation I had to stop going for a while. I finally got to order takeout few weeks ago and everything has changed. New buns, lower quality pork, they now serve Costco fries, no coleslaw on the sandwich, they now serve one single bread and butter pickle round instead of a big dill slice like before, and I m pretty sure their BBQ sauce has changed. I was so disappointed, it is NOTHING like it was a year ago. I will not be going back here again, which is a bummer because they used to have some of the best BBQ around! Last photo is what their pulled pork sandwich used to look like. First two are what is now being served. Not worth it anymore.

Saw great reviews on Google about the Butchers Block so I drove out from Coquitlam this past Saturday and it was so worth it! Got the 2 meat platter, Ribs & Brisket (got fries instead of Cornbread *dairy allergy*) Honestly everything was mouthwateringly delicious.. I would lay in a bed of their Briskets all day while eating it, what a lovely Sunday that would be. Service was friendly & fantastic!! Also try the root beer! Thanks again!!

Right off the bat, I have strong opinions on bbq ribs and this review will reflect that. Reference points - Joe s in KC and Pappy s in St. Louis. Ribs here are a tad dry and the meat doesn t fall off the bone. No sauce options on the table, nor a dry-rub option (Memphis style). If this is the best Vancouver has to offer, I guess I won t be eating ribs in this city again. The baked beans have pulled pork in it (which is awesome) and the small fries portion size is big. There s free parking all over, which is another plus.

This is a good small barbecue place located in North Burnaby. Good food and a nice environment. Also good for a relaxing lunch.

I came here with a friend for lunch and my first impression was I appreciated the decor, and the chalkboards! Also the waitresses were very kind. The mini flower arrangements on each table were such a nice touch The food was so so good, my friend and each got one of the 2-meat-platters. Generous amount of food, extremely tasty, we both left satisfied. I appreciated the variety they have on the drink menu as well. I look forward to coming back!

Great place to get ribbed for your pleasure, or hers!

We used to go there for years for the brisket burger, which was the best item on the menu. We were there last week again to have the brisket burger, but now it was only a brisket sandwich. This was a sad version of the old burger, it had a different bun and instead of the thin sliced meat with BBQ sauce ,lettuce and tomato on it, there was just some cut up red onion and mustard on a solid piece of meat. Why do they ruin their signature items like this??? This cheaper version was priced just as much as the burger used to cost, so we saved no money on it. We were very disappointed in this and unless they ever bring back the brisket burger like it was, we will never go back there again.

I ordered the Backyard feast from here it brought me back to my childhood, this was the best bbq ive ever had best value for the buck I loved it so much the bbq ribs, coleslaw, macaroni salad the fries were really good. The meat is so tender and falls off the bone. The Corn bread was delicious, I am going to order again for sure.

I ve had the pleasure of eating alot of southern bbq in restaurants all over the United States and for me Butchers Block meets and exceeds traditional American southern bbq cooking! Great variety of meats and excellent choices of sides to complement the meats! Superb service and flavour! Quantity and prices are great too!

Popped into Butchers Block for a late lunch. Enjoyed a combination platter of ribs, pulled pork, and brisket with beans and slaw. Total cost with tip was just under $100. Service was attentive but didnt anticipate any needs (ie. had to ask for butter to go with cornbread). Enjoyable experience overall.

Small portion for the money

Food was great with generous servings. Got the BBQ platter and have tons of leftovers. Could use multiple BBQ sauce selection included with the platter but other than that food was stellar.

Dry burnt brisket, with a tiny portion size for $38. Fries were ok though.

We went here today for lunch on a last minute whim. Last time weve been here was maybe 4-5 years ago. And honestly, I do not remember the portion sizes being THAT small. We got one of the BBQ platters with 2 meats (ribs and beef brisket) and. The ribs and beef brisket pieces were very small... ribs were quite burnt and brisket was dry. From looking at the reviews and photos from other patrons, Im thinking maybe I just chose to order the wrong thing? Thinking back, maybe these BBQ platters are supposed to be a 1 person serving... which honestly still quite expensive and not worth it for 30$ something. The cornbread was pretty good and filling which was probably my favourite part of the platter. But all in all, this place did not satisfy this foodie.

We decided to have BBQ for our dinner and based on the reviews, tried Butchers Block with coworkers. We tried the Carnivore Platter. Well the Platter was tasty! Everyones favorite was the chicken and beef brisket and ribs. But all the meats were tasty and juicy. Platter came with purple coleslaw, macaroni salad, side of fries and beans. The beans were a hit as well. Platter also came with a cake. Friendly staff, will come back again for sure

What a pleasant experience! We went here on a whim because it popped up on a google restaurant near me search. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Nice vibe! I had a build your own platter with Brisket, ribs, cornbread and beans. My son had a brisket sandwich with fries. They were accommodating with our lean request as my son doesnt like to much fat on his meat. The food was really good. Great BBQ flavour. Loved the ribs! I put butter on my cornbread so it wasnt dry. The service was on point! All around a good place to eat! We will definetly go back again.

It is a meat lovers paradise. We had the butchers platter or something like that, we were 7 and we could not finish it. All delicious, fall off the bone meats. Service was friendly and efficient. It is not a fancy place but in this case, that is a good thing.

As a person who lived in Oklahoma for ten years and complained about no good steak/burgers in Vancouver when just over here. I have to say this place made one of my favorite burgers! even i moved to richmond and now south surrey, i dont mind drive all the way there to have a burger!

We used to loveeee this place, but in the last 8mths to a year its really gone down hill. We came in as a group of 8 ppl. We all ordered individual meals (versus a platter). All of our food, (with exception of the beans) was cold. My mom ordered the chicken - it was shockingly tiny and very dry. The ribs used to be awesome - they were medicore at best, with minimal meat. It was my uncles birthday dinner. We were definitely rushed and advised to hurry up as we needed to leave (it was 7:45 and they close at 8pm). Oh and the bathroom was pretty gross too. Very disappointing..... We keep giving them another chance hoping that they have gone back to there old standards, but this will be the last time for us.

Weve driven past this place numerous times on our way to Cioffis. My craving for melt-in-your-mouth beef brisket compelled me to try this place. We ordered Beef Brisket and rack of ribs, sausage dog, corn bread, potato salad and slaw. The first surprise was that the beef brisket came covered in BBQ sauce. Yuk! Once the sauce was scrapped off, I discovered that the grain of the meat was along the length of the brisket I expected the grain to go the other way. The beef was never fatty to begin with, and I thought they made a mistake and served pulled pork without pulling the pork. It was the driest piece of beef Ive ever tasted not the melt-in-your-mouth brisket Ive been craving. This is not Texas BBQ. I left it. The rack of ribs was OK, but no big deal. I dont know what I expected for the potato salad, something creamy perhaps, with sieglinde potato, but I did not expect barely cooked powdery potato, skin on. I did not finish the slaw either. The sausage was nice and spicy, based on what you get, it is one pricy sausage on a and this is the first time Ive complained about value in a review. Summary of rating: 3 for the rack of ribs, 3 for the sausage, 1 for beef brisket, 3 for the corn bread, 1 for potato salad, 1 for slaw, 1 for beans. Oh well, live and learn.

Best place for BBQ style food in the lower mainland. Brisket, pulled pork, chicken, everything is finger-licking good. Highly recommended and a must if you are in the mood for BBQ food. Try the home-made lemonade as well, very refreshing. Definitely a to-go place when visiting the Heights.

Delicious food!

Was excited about this place because I ve been craving for smoked meats. Tried the chicken and pork ribs which were both really juicy and flavorful but was disappointed with the beef brisket which came out dry and tough. Upon bringing it to their attention, they gave us a slice of a fattier portion which was better. Potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw and beans were good but the cornbread was dry and crumbly. Would return only for the pork ribs and sides.

A unique restaurant offering a focused but extremely well-crafted and executed menu with a fairly large whiskey selection as well as whiskey-based cocktails; Butchers Block BBQ is a standout restaurant in Burnaby - a must-visit for lovers of meat and bbq! While the location is on the smaller side and a little cozy, the food and service were excellent with the food being prepared and served hot and fresh good-sized portions. Standouts from the menu include the deep fried pickle spears, the ribs, [pork] belly bites which were bite-sized rich and crispy pieces of pork belly, served in a sweet and spicy glaze, and huge glasses of lemonade served with ice to wash down the salty and savoury meats!

So good! We dined in and chose our platter. The pork bites were juice and crispy with amazing sauce, the ribs were falling off the bone and the sausage was perfect. The fries were excellent, and the slaw too. The only note was it was the end of the night and the brisket and cornbread were a little done, but still tasted amazing. The place is cute and service was great. Will be coming back.

I tried the pork ribs at the Hats Off Event and it was delicious. I wanted to come in to eat again but looking at the prices from the menu it is out of my price range.

For bbq in vancouver this would probably be par for course. That said, anyone having tried Blacks in Texas would give this a fail. Brisket was dry and overdone, pulled pork was also dry. Potato salad was bland with only the taste of mustard. The drinks however were phenomenal and delicious!

I just tried their food truck at the Salmon Festival in Steveston. The staff were very nice and the pricing was quite good in comparison to their competition on site. The food though wasn t what I was hoping for. For $10 the Brisket sandwich was tiny and the brisket was covered in BBQ sauce. After scraping the sauce off I found dry brisket that wasn t moist like you d expect from a BBQ restaurant. The 3 ribs I received for $10 were pretty bland and I ve had better at normal chain restaurants. Pretty disappointing overall. They are no where near the quality of a Memphis Blues or Truckin BBQ. Shame as I was hoping for another competitor in the segment.

Want authentic smoked meat? Get the platter for larger groups. It came out on a Butchers Block cutting board. Its a must. Had leftovers and even those were good the next day. Friendly staff. Family friendly atmosphere.

Great place for BBQ platters. They have everything you d want in at a BBQ restaurant and a create-your-own platter can be enough for 2. Server was very friendly and food and barbecue sauce came out hot, fresh and tasty.

Pretty standard bbq place. Some meats were dry which they covered in bbq sauce. Beans were served piping hot which I assume were fresh out the microwave. Coleslaw wasnt zesty enough but the corn bread was pleasant. Good service, waitress is very bubbly. Nice homey atmosphere.

It s a barbecue place. None of the food was bad, it was just kind of dry where I had to dip the meat into the beans to add flavour. I m not an expertise with barbecue places, so this could be better than others or worse. All I know is a platter here is worth 35 dollars, for not enough quantity. There are parts of the meat where it does hit, and when it hits, it s absolute juicy.

Had a yearning for BBQ and had to look on google for what was in vancouver. I found the right spot. The air inside the restaurant is beautifully smokey smelling. The service was decent, the beers were cold, the brisket was tasty and had nice burnt ends with it and the sauce was very North Carolina meets Texas The cornbread is delicuous, moist and dense. A must have with your BBQ. Prices are very fair for the portions. I will absolutly be back for a full rack of the ribs. The ribs were very delicious. Another must have.

He was friendly the first time, but the second time I went he didnt even look at me and after sitting alone for 5 minutes he just left.

So Im in a trip to Vancouver and I was googling restaurants to try and this place stood out to me. The food was so so so good I loved everything I ate no complaints from me or my partner. We got the brisket, belly bits, fries, cornbread and the sausage. Yum yum delicious! Cant wait to be back

Tastes how youd expect vancouver bbq to taste. Wasnt bad, but definitely not anything exciting. 5.75/10 and should cost 1/3 less then it does. Passionless, soulless, lifeless. Too much sauce, weird to suggest putting onion and soggy lettuce on brisket sandwich. I hope they realize they can do much better, and try harder in the future. Good luck.

Brisket was really chewy and tough it was difficult to bite through. A jerky like texture

They werent lying about the best ribs in town but the BBQ beans are perfecto . Huge portions Im always rolling out the door afterwards.

Be warned: Portions are tiny and overpriced for below average food. Service was good but not enough to justify the platter of 3 ribs, 1 slice of brisket, handful of greasy fat cubes & a scoop of pulled pork.

This is one of my favourite BBQ restaurants ever, great service and food! I would recommend getting a platter of belly bites, pulled pork and macaroni salad, after eating I was completely full! The food was 4.5/5, the service was a 4.7/5 and the atmosphere was a 5! 10/10, I will be going again!

most people would rate this 5 stars. However I have toured the south and have had bbq in its homeland. Do not get me wrong this is good bbq and would recommend to others. However when your a bbq snob like me who has been to the south its average. Nothing can beat good ol texan bbq made out back in a smokehouse with that sweet but spicy bbq sauce. In my opinion the bbq lacked a good smokey flavor and that spicy kick in the @$$ that you can expect from the south. However when you walk in the door that delicious smokey bbq smell hits you smack dab in the nose like a line of Columbian marching powder and gets you drooling.

Bbq ribs were really dry and slopped with bbq sauce . Coleslaw was not as good as it looks and i just cant justify spending 35 dollars on dry meat . Dissapointed !!

Used to be my best barbecue spot to order and dine in. The last few times I have ordered takeout and gone into the restaurant have been super disappointing. The portions were not as what they used to be, now they are small ribs and not as tender, the brisket is dryer. The take out now usually comes Stone cold and the brisket is bone dry and the ribs are super small and dry. Very disappointed overall . I even asked the delivery person recently if the order was even hot and she said yes but was obviously a lie so not impressed.

Great food, super busy; be sure to book ahead if you arent planning on takeout, and its good so that take out will be eaten in your car and/or parking lot.

Small restaurant with a myriad of meat cuts. Chicken, brisket, pulled pork, belly bites, etc. They have beers on tap and special cocktails as well. Service was very friendly and efficient. Free 1 hr street parking out in front. Food was good, make sure to ask your fries well done as ours were a bit undercooked!

so this is like almost all BBQ in Vancouver...not very good. Ribs are tough, brisket was grey, huge chunks of fat, and smothered in bbq sauce to hide its weaknesses. this place is better than lots of other bbq here however, which is sad in itself.

Great BBQ! I tried this place back in 2020 and thought it was average but I tried it again recently and was pleasantly surprised as it had improved a lot. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich with the bbq beans and it was great. The meat was moist and flavorful and the portion size was pretty good for the price. If I was craving BBQ I would definitely come back here again!

In house cooked meat,in house made BBQ sauce. They nailed the down south cookin. The cornbread is moist I normally hate coleslaw but this coleslaw is amazing. Make the trip down here. Its well worth it.

Unassuming little place, but the BBQ is delicious. I lived in the Southeastern US for a few years where bbq is like religion and this BBQ would hold its own for sure. The brisket sandwich was fantastic.

I dont know what happened to this place, burgers were burnt and dry, the worst burger ever.

The food is just amazing, coleslaw to the beef brisket, it s so flavoured. Brisket is not dried. Not many BBQ places around but this has to be it. Service is great too. This reminds me of the south and how BBQ should be.

UPDATE: not too sure what s changed within a month, but something has gone wrong here. The difference in the ribs was the most shocking of all- they went from meaty, tender, fall off the bone . To dry, tough, and barely any meat. They looked somewhat similar to, dare I say, frozen ribs? I m sorry. This also applies to the chicken and brisket. Lacking flavour, very dry, and much smaller portions! This meal didn t have that made with love feel, so if this is due to new owners.. then they re struggling to keep up with that passion that was present before. Completely different experience, lacking that southern hospitality and authentic vibe that we got the first time around. original review below WOW. Out for a fun little Saturday with my bae, and we come across this GEM. Super friendly and smiley staff, absolutely incredible food, and honourable mention to a childhood classic the Arnold Palmer. Its a complete bbq meat shop. It serves dine in and take out not only for local residents of burnaby but others who order online on uber and skip the dishes as well. Special deals like bottomless lemonade and iced tea is available in the afternoon for dine in customers. Platters are great way to taste the meats of your choice. We ordered bbq pulled pork and grilled chicken with the side of coleslaw salad , corn bread and bowl of beans. Everything was super delicious. So, if you are not hungry then this would be sufficient for two people else you can order two platters for a tummy full meal. All kinds of Sandwiches are also available with chicken, beef , pork or fish. Small bar with mainly beer and wine options. Nothing fancy though. Would like to go again and try some more.

When the fries are the best part of a BBQ joint you know something is wrong. This place may have been good a while back but after our visit a month ago we unanimously agreed that the food was absolutely dreadful. Sweater in the mouth dry, burnt, devoid of any smoke flavour, under-seasoned and not at all resembling professionally prepared food. BTW, they were out of ribs. I emailed the owner asking for an explanation (I wanted to give them a chance at some sort of redemption) and received no explanation as to how the food could have been so bad. An apology and an I ll look into it was the only response. I hate saying stuff like this but really for what we paid: $99 for a platter, it was just awful.

Great food (dont get the pulled pork, its too dry). Theres free parking all around the neighborhood if you look around.

Not impressed with this bbq place. I m not sure they even know how to bbq? Brisket was actually decent, but the worst pork belly burnt ends I ve ever seen!!!! Absolutely terrible. Corn bread was not edible, coleslaw had no flavour and beans were far behind. Super disappointed!

If you like smoked meats and baked beans this is definitely a place you will want to go. As soon as you open the door you are overwhelmed with the incredibly delicious smells and the food does not disappoint. Great helpings, reasonably priced, and ooooh so good.

Either change of ownership or chef went on vacation. Quality has gone doooowwwn. Ribs weren t ribs they used to be a couple of months ago. It was babyback portion and tasted out of Costco brand and even fries. They changed the quality of fries! Both were super dry.

I ordered the carnivore platter for a gathering at Confederation Park. Due to series of misunderstandings and confusion on both sides, a member of our party picked up the wrong order. I didnt realize until the food arrived at Confederation Park. We didnt have enough food to feed people. Im giving Butchers Block a 5 star review however, because as soon as I called and they realized what had happened, they did everything they could to make it right. It was important to me that we were able to feed the party, and Butchers Block made it happen. The food was also delicious and disappeared very quickly.

Amazing food. Have gotten it for delivery but went inside for diner with my husband and friends and enjoyed it that much more! Service was great and got our food fast.

For the LATAM band, they are tasty! Fun fact: the chef is Indian. The truth is a thousand times better than the gastronomic options available in our countries.

Great food price is high but good selection and quality

Dont go to this place the waitress plays with the food thats being served I watched her grab and poke at the cornbread. They wipe down the burger bun with a dirty towel because they put to much BBQ sauce on it. Theyre dirty just go in and watch them plate your food. Go to Memphis Blue.

After reading many reviews we decided to try this place. Unfortunately food tasted very average. Pork belly sandwich was good, nice and hot fries,but chicken was cold and didnt taste that fresh.Cornbread was dry as well.Would not go back.

Flavours are glorious and the meat is tender. Some places cook until the meat is dry like jerky, but this place - this place treats the meat right and with respect. 5 stars is the maximum allowed, but if I could, Id give this place 6 out of 5. This place is a BBQ lovers paradise.

I SO wanted this to be my new place as I pass by it quite often, but the serving sizes arent what I had hoped for based on the prices. I think the meat is really good quality and the flavours were on point hence the 4 stars, but I always expect BBQ places to give crazy good serving sizes and the $30 platter was really only enough for one person, even the beans and coleslaw were in tiny containers. The corn bread was really tasty, a touch dry. I suppose in these expensive times I should have expected that but I was hopeful!

Definitely worth getting the ribs and chicken!

Great food but small portions. Spent close to $60 on a platter for two but got enough to feed one. I wish the waitress told me the portions were small while I ordered.

Ordered the half rack ribs 2 weeks ago and they where fall off the bone awesome, so much that the following week I ordered the same and they were burnt and worst ribs I ever had even the slaw was just dry shredded purple cabbage . No consistency. Youve lost my business, and I work and live locally.

A great treat! My father was a navy cook from Newfoundland. We also what lots of BBQ meats growing up. All they are missing is a deepfried turkey! ;)

Taste was good, but portion was smaller than expected. Two-meat Platter was only enough for 1 person. Also, the beer prices written on the wall were inaccurate and misleading, and they would not be honoured.

Ordered the appetizer pork belly (my most favourite!). Comes with some shredded cabbage and it pairs very well with the pork belly bites. For $13, about 10 pieces, its pricey. Ordered the beef brisket, was good, nothing outstanding. Meat is soft. My toddler and 6 month old enjoyed it. Glad they didnt give any burnt end pieces. My favourite is the pulled pork. Ordered half pound of it. Purely meat, no fat. Great experience and hope they are consistent!
