6401 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC V5E 1E1, Canada
Classic Cantonese plates like noodles, hot pot, dim sum & seafood served in a polished dining room.
Came with dad on a Sunday Funday morning at 10 am. No wait and no reso made. Service is consistent. Always someone clearing the empty dishes and looking to add hot water to our teapot 🫖. Always nice to get a bunch of sauces. We did not order much, but did order a huge congee to take home for a few meals after. It was not that crazy loud, none of the TVs were all ... but it was chill 😎. We were quick and it was easy for us.
The food was hot and tasty. The server was average. The atmosphere was comfortable. Not a lot of GF options
The food at this restaurant was average, and the prices were fair. However, the service left much to be desired. When we tried to order individual dishes, the server persistently pushed us to opt for their more expensive set dinner. Despite repeatedly telling him that we wanted to stick with single dish items, he continued to upsell. We ended up ordering a few dishes, and the portion sizes were good, but after dinner, we felt unusually thirsty and had to drink a lot of water. When it came time to pay, the service experience became more frustrating. Like some other Chinese restaurants, they asked if we could pay in cash and offered a 10% discount. However, the discount didn’t apply to the entire bill. They told us that only regular items were eligible for the discount, and the duck we ordered, which cost $100, was excluded. It felt like a bit of a trick, as the cash discount ended up saving us only a few bucks. I’d recommend avoiding paying in cash here. It doesn’t really benefit you as a customer and can make it feel like they're just avoiding taxes while offering minimal savings. Overall, while the food was ok, the upselling, confusing payment terms, and feeling thirsty after the meal made the experience less enjoyable.
Good Chinese food that is suitable for family gatherings as they have huge round tables and the restaurant is huge. Everything tasted good. The fish maw soup was great, speciality chicken was standard good, classic beef ho fan fried noodles and sweet and sour fish were solid, and the assorted seafood fried rice with pineapple was unique and refreshing. The longevity buns shaped liked peaches were freshly steamed and tasty.
There's 2 locations. There’s one in Coquitlam and one in Burnaby. I came to this location in Burnaby on Kingsway. Also, if it’s your first time here, the entrance is behind the building where their back parking lot is. There’s plenty of parking all around the neighborhood. It was a hot day and the air conditioning was on. The restaurant is very spacious. This type of restaurant is a banquet style setting with Cantonese style cuisine. You come here for the seafood to maximize your experience, but there are many other items that are non seafood. Our family came here to celebrate Father’s Day early. We decided to get the lobster set dinner. Btw this kitchen was on fire that day. We had all our main items come out to us in less than 18 mins. That’s incredible. At one point we were wondering if another table had cancelled their order LOL. First came the fish maw crab soup. Done wonderfully and with real crab. Great start to the dinner. Very silky and savoury. Great preparation with the fish maw. Sponge soft with a feather crunch. The crab claws are very classic Cantonese style. Be careful they are piping hot in the center. Done properly and very delicious. They come with a sauce to dip if it fancies you but I like it au natural 😬 The lobster with noodle was very classic. Great flavours but I thought the noodle was a touch skimpy. No complaints on how it tasted. Very comforting. Scallop and beef tenderloin with broccoli. The scallops weren’t over cooked. The beef was soft. The broccoli cooked perfectly. Our vegetable dish we chose the snow pea tip leafs modified in vegetable stock. Normally it’s eaten with garlic stir fried. But for 5 bucks more you can modify this dish. Either way it’s delicious and considered among very nutritious with a good source of vitamin C, folate, fiber, and beta carotene. The chicken dish we had it upgraded ($5 bucks more) to the salt roasted chicken with crispy rice chips. All the kids love eating the rice chips haha. The chicken wasn’t dry. It was moist and light on the saltiness. The seafood fried rice done to standards You can taste the element of the wok hei, the breath of the wok fire 🔥 Dessert that night was the classic red bean soup. It was delicious. We were also surprised that the kitchen gave us almond cookies. They were made in house and was so delicious and fresh. It was a great Father’s Day dinner. So pretty much a 9 course with desserts included. It can definitely feed 4-5 adults. The service is amazing. There’s very few Chinese places that have such attention to their customers. They are kind and always social. Great first experience. I’ll definitely be coming back.
From the moment we stepped into this seafood haven, we were greeted with the most delightful and welcoming atmosphere. Hosting a party of 15 can be quite a challenge, but the staff here handled it with such efficiency and grace, accommodating us quickly and without any hassle. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish we ordered was a delightful surprise, bursting with fresh, flavorful seafood that truly showcased the chef’s skill and creativity. The ‘wow’ factor was undeniable - each plate was a work of art, both in presentation and taste. What really set this experience apart was the attentive and friendly service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, consistently checking in on us and making sure all our needs were met. Their recommendations were spot-on, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal. In a world where dining experiences can often be hit or miss, this restaurant truly stands out as a gem. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience that amazes and delights. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for exceptional seafood and outstanding service. A must-visit for seafood lovers!
Without a doubt, the food. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, The flavors were authentic and rich, with just the right balance of spices. it's worth mentioning that the prices were a bit on the higher side. While the quality of the food and service justified the cost to some extent, it's something to keep in mind if you're dining on a budget.
This was my first time here. I liked how the large tables were spaced well apart. Also, sound didn’t echo everywhere and we could hear each other. The food was fair to good (mostly good) as was the service. Except for the few dishes at the end, the food was served in a timely way. The 7 courses we had for 14 people came to around $750 which is a bit pricey for the quality.
The snacks are OK, but they are quite large. But the fried rice and siomai are just so-so! The price is slightly more expensive than Joyful, but the seats are more comfortable.
One of the best tasting cantonese style restaurant in Burnaby. The famous sweet and sour pork did not disappoint. Other recommended dishes include fried chicken, braised eggplant seafood pot and deep fried salty squid. Friendly staff and attentive service .
Food is always very good. Expensive, but quality is great
Food wasn t bad. The shrimp dumpling was very good when hot. Could easily be one of my top 5 for shrimp dumpling. The washrooms could do a little cleaning but then again, it s a busy Chinese restaurant. Parking: Lots of parking within the building and even on the roof top. I won t recommend wheelchair users to park on the roof tho. I think there s only escalators and stairs on the roof. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is flat and wide, lobby is wide with benches
The food was good. Last time I was there the sauces were slightly on the thick/sticky side, but flavorful - fits my palate. There staff was efficient. It was a (late) lunch réception. Pour courses were prepared right on time and served as soon as we had a full complement. One of the servers (the lead, perhaps) was quite attentive to our needs. The dining room is open and bright owing to the high ceiling and large windows from end to end and floor to ceiling. The shining area has a crescent shape. The tip where we sat was quite pleasant but the centre was a bit noisy for some.
Food and services are both top quality
There s a cockroach in my soup, I found it when I was almost done, now I m very disgusted!
Kid-friendliness: Good for family gathering. Lots of space for kids and no worry about if your kids are noisy! :) Food
For a local Chinese restaurant it is very good. Went for Dim Sum with others. Everything was good. Got refills for hot water, without asking. So be back.
Was in town to visit family and decided to go for dim sum at Lee Gardens. I believe they have a few different locations, but I went to the Burnaby one. Made a reservation and when we got there it was fairly busy. Didnt take long to get seated and the food came out fairly quickly. Good portion sizes, very flavorful and the pricing wasnt too bad. Only thing about this location is that parking can be a hassle and sometimes park a few blocks away
5 of us had dimsum here today. Everything was fine. They have a huge free parking lot at the back. The restaurant was packed. We ate a lot and cost including tip was $40 each.
Enjoyed the crispy chicken, crispy noodles, buddhas feast, chicken soup. Used to come for dim sum but quite a while now. Came again for dim sum. Enjoyed the rice roll with fish. Good service
Absolutely horrible because I was in the thick of it the entire time and they see me when it snows I breathe ice Im just cold Vegetarian options: Nothing, THICK FONIT
The dishes are more exquisite and taste good Parking: If you want to park in a parking space, you still need to rush early.
Spacious Restaurant, great dim sum. Good for gatherings.
Holiday visit for lunch Almost full! You have to ask for hot sauce four times to get it. I heard that Chinese restaurants in Canada have this tendency. The menu is overall delicious! Good atmosphere You can order more later, so be sure to estimate the quantity carefully before ordering! My stomach almost exploded (I packed a lot)
Another restaurant that we havent been back to for about 8 years or so. Usually we come here for dim sum but theyre usually busy. On this visit, we came early for dinner because we had a craving for Peking duck... And not that new Beijing style that you see everywhere lately where the duck is cut up into thick slices of meat... Im talking about the classic style that I grew up with where the duck skin is super crispy and theres just a sliver of meat attached to it. I heard there was a duck shortage due to avian flu recently. Probably explains why their 2 course Peking duck jumped to about $100 (used to be around $60-70). This was a good version and came with duck lettuce wrap. Also ordered pea tips on garlic sauce. Despite the visible garlic, it wasnt super garlicky. Really liked the crab claws we ordered. Nice crisp exterior gave way to a super tasty filling. Also kudos for the complimentary dessert. I feel like a lot of places are cutting back on this. The red bean dessert wasnt too sweet but it was nice and creamy. Update: Dim sum in mid Feb 2024 Came back for dim sum and most items were prepared well including the beef balls, chiu chow dumplings, haw gow had plentiful shrimp in the filling, the crisp Chinese donut inside the rice roll, the fresh tasting mango pudding and the refreshing chilled osmanthus jello with lychee. The beef tripe was a tad on the crunchy side. Crab claws were meaty but expensive at $17. UPDATE July 2024: Another revisit for dim sum. Had the siu mai (these were large dumplings filled with pork and shrimp), crispy bean curd sheet wraps filled with pea tips and shrimp). The Shanghai pork buns werent too bad and were fairly juicy with slightly thick skin. A nice eggplant and shrimp paste (nice lightly crispy exterior) and Chinese donut rice roll. Finished off with osmanthus and lychee jello.
The dry steamed siomai is as big as a fist, and the taste is authentic to Cantonese taste.
My moms house is 5 mins from this restaurant so our family has spent many year going for delicious dim sum and dinners for special occasions. We love it there. Free parking and very professional staff, food comes fast. They also do take out as well. Parking: Bug free parking lot behind Kid-friendliness: They have baby chairs
Very delicious dinner
What you eat is memory, but it is still the taste in memory
Dim sum
Good food, good service. All staff members are well trained and quite polite. Very accommodating to requests. Restaurant has its own parking lot and with ample street parking.
The beef porridge with vegetables and heart is delicious! The black truffle and wild mushroom dumplings have the same taste as when I was a kid, and the gold medal barbecued pork cakes are also delicious The service staff provided good service despite being very busy High praise
Food was good. Service was slow. Made reservations but still had to wait over half hour to be seated.
The Interior decoration is very dilapidated. Even use the same name after change the owner but the quality of food & service is difference between heaven and earth . I revise my review today, as they did improve on food a lot . The dishes are tasty. Vegetarian options: They are vegetable only dishes can order
Dim sum is da bomb. That is all. Dine in is a lot better than take out. Parking: Free parking at the back. Food : 5/5 |
One of the best dim sum restaurants in Burnaby with comfortable seating and great service. Great deals on king crab specials.
Yummy dimsum, just like in Hong Kong.
I placed an order online, the order was processed meaning they took my money, then they phoned to inform me one of my dish was unavailable and asked me to go back to the ordering screen and cancel that selection which they know it cant be done after the bill been paid. When I arrived to pick up my order they promise me they will refund me the over charge for missing dish, i was told it might take a few days for the refund, its been over 2 weeks, no refund. With all the restaurants in this city I will never go here again and I suggest for those who still insist on going there prepare to be scammed, and the 1 star is overrated
Food was ok . So many more choices in Richmond that are better value and taste. Service was a bit slow albeit they were quite busy.
It s better than many restaurants in Hong Kong
Food is good, a bit pricy compared with similar restaurants.
Food was great! Dim sum was hot and fresh. restaurant was clean and service was better then the other Chinese restaurants
Excellent service friendly service Excellent in every way.
There are many styles of Chinese dim sum and tea, the venue is spacious and the service is good·
Not what it used to be.
Service was good.
First time eating here. Came to have their King crab. The size is a bit small but overall dinner was ok.
We always come here for family dinner and service is always the best compare to other Chinese restaurants. Food is always delicious and comes course by course without much wait time. Only downside is hard to find parking sometimes during the weekend.
We have had dim sum and regular dinners here a few times and now it s almost the end of King Crab KC season BUT a few other restaurants we called first could not positively confirm the availability so we decided to come back to Lee Garden BBY who guaranteed they still had abundant supplies. So a day before we ordered over the phone the KC set dinner for 4 ( for the three of us) Although we have been here a few times, we didn t know any of the staff but we were still greeted by a very welcoming manager Wallace, who showed us our crab and I took a photo to compare when it returned on dish (heard too many scams in some other restaurants which swap crabs) . It was TGIF and there were groups of happy customers and almost every table was enjoying their KC dinners!! All the 5 dishes and the soup included in the set were very tasty and in big portion .in fact we took home the last two fish dishes and the fried rice .they lasted for another two meals .) Our favorite was the garlic KC, but the salt & pepper KC was also very yummy. All through the dinner, another manager Roy and his team continued to provide very friendly service. Our wonderful Friday evening concluded with the desserts provided and the overall bill included tips and everything (no alcohol) was a bit over $600. Looking forward to return in the next KC season!
Delicious Cantonese style of seafood restaurant with cozy environment to enjoy meals.
Dim sum is great. Fast, quick service. Staff are good at clearing empty dishes. Good service.
Great dim sum place to bring friends and family. Food was great, not too much MSG. And service was quick.
It s similar to most teahouses.
An incredibly poorly managed restaurant. With a reservation for 1 pm, we were made to wait 45 minutes just to get a table; clearly an issue with how they handle reservations as a whole as multiple groups were made to do this as well. After we had sat down and finally ordered, it took them 20 minutes tko come back and tell us that they were sold out of X items, from which they then finally started on our order. Nothing was said about either of these massive delays. They then struggled to find our bill to even let us pay, and made us wait even longer as they sorted this out. Clearly, management has very little idea on what is happening, and the entire system seems rather fragile. The food itself is fine, but its certainly not good enough to make the trip over, just very standard quality thats passable.
We came during Chinese new year - so it was really busy. The food came out at a staggered pace but not fast enough. The food was on the salty side. They never came to swap our plates until a manager noticed. They ran out of dessert for our set menu. We were rushed to pay our bill because they had to close their till up for the night - but all our food wasn t served yet. I mean, plenty of other Chinese restaurants to try in Vancouver area. Food was ok, but not worth the service.
Yummy food Dim sum was great Food
Best Dim Sum in Burnaby. By far
great
If you are not somebody or you don t know somebody here. You will find yourself last on the queue and last to be served at the time. Food is expensive and does not deserve the price
The food in this place is amazing. Just had a wedding banquet there and the manager, Roy was very accommodating and made everything very smooth. Will definitely return for a meal or two.
Delicious dim sum and really thoughtful service here. First time I d seen a dim sum place that attentively changed our used plates to clean ones. Their fried chive cake is so good with a lot of stuffing with shrimps!! Highly recommend Lee Garden for dim sum. The only downside is it is a bit pricy but very worth it.
Went out for New Years brunch, and Lee Garden went the extra mile for higher quality service, food, and presentation. Thank you for such a great start to the year!
This restaurant is actually quite spacious, with comfortable seats and plenty of space between the dining tables, allowing you to sit without feeling oppressive. My budget is about 100 Canadian dollars for two people, so the space I can order is limited. The first dish is crabmeat and fish maw soup. I loved eating this dish when I was pregnant. With the addition of red vinegar, it became a beautiful delicacy for me! Its a pity that his crab meat and fish belly is tasteless. If I add a few more grains of salt, I think it will taste better. The second dish was Baihua Stuffed Crab Claws. It was really delicious freshly fried, but I couldn t taste any crab meat. I originally thought that the crab claws were made from the large claws of crabs, but otherwise I only saw two in the end. Just small pliers. I won t talk about the fried chicken, it s an extremely common dish. The last dish was fried bean drum and dace fish with fragrant wheat vegetables. When it was served, I was shocked and thought, do I want this dish? Because I only saw a few bean drums and no fish at all, after a Hong Kong friend pointed me out, it turned out that the small pieces of minced meat were dace fish. After eating it, I realized that the so-called dace fish was dug out of cans and fried! This is far different from my understanding.
Parking: Space not big enough for a regular sedan! Food
Friendly staff and excellent food. We enjoyed the meal!
Food & atmosphere is great
Cool place with very friendly service and great food. We will be back to try other menu items
Delicious Cantonese dim sum
I went here yesterday and I really liked their service and food tasted really good the price was also very fair for 10 people also the place was neat too
We went as a party of 10. Great service and food. The servers ensured we had an enjoyable experience. Definitely will go back
The food here is amazing and the service is superb our host Frank is awesome so friendly and so energetic. Hands down the best restaurant in the lower mainland. If you want Chinese food don t waste your money anywhere else this is the go to place.
Well enough
Food is great, pricing a little bit on the expensive side, portions gotten a lot smaller tho. My favorite fried shrimp spring roll went from one long spring roll down to short short spring roll. Service is still good. We ordered take out too, we can see a decrease in portion and it s ingredients too :( still taste amazing though
Banquet style dinner for some people having milestone birthdays featuring King Crab n Peking Duck.
Parking is very convenient, and the food tastes good, with a strong Cantonese flavor.
great food, great serving have a variety of dimsum to choose from.
Nice restaurant. Food taste average.
I did find that restaurant ugly and so boring inside, plus it was very slow to have our food, I saw a woman eating sharks fin soup and I said to myself, OMG this is illegal and damaging the ecosystem of our oceans etc I never returned and I will never go back, the food I ate was so so.
King crab was good. Busy spot for dimsum as well. Clean and spacious will be back. Kid-friendliness: Deidcated Baby change room, lots of high chairs available.
The customer service rep (lady) was unprofessional.
Pricey food.
One of the best in town
Both food and service are good.
Service was ridiculously slow, we waited 40 minutes after ordering, to get 2 dishes then another 30 minutes before the rest of the dishes arrived. They even got one of our orders wrong but were basically told they wont fix it because we gave the wrong order. Food tastes good but the servings are tiny for the price you are paying. And the taste of the food doesnt make up for the poor service.
Good food. Not much parking in the back. Lots of parking along kingsway
Its definitely a seafood restaurant, the menu was large, but lacked options for someone who doesnt eat seafood. It had all the classical dim sum dishes, and was fair, pretty clean-tasting. A lot of foods had a pale motif, such as the osmanthus jelly and pineapple BBQ pork bun (really good). The was also good. The tables are given a lot of space, and décor is cohesive, but it still gets pretty loud.
My go-to Chinese restaurant in the area. It s clean, spacious, and the servers are always friendly and provide good service.
delicious dim sum
At Lei Garden Seafood Restaurant in Burnaby, the seats are spacious, the utensils are exquisite, and the service is also good. There were a lot of people visiting for tea at noon, and the snacks were all available, and the quality was pretty good. The quality and taste of dinner is better than that of lunch, but the price is higher. Pay attention to the current price when ordering water, otherwise a large table can easily exceed 1,000 Canadian dollars (a 9-pound king crab is 550 yuan). Reservations are required for the grilled pineapple sago pudding and boneless stuffed duck. They are the restaurants specialty dishes and are worth a try.
Definitely one the best D Sum restaurant. Clean. Excellent service. Quality of food is definitely noticable
Great dim sum. The place was quite busy when we went for lunch on a weekday. Service was fine. Bathrooms need to be cleaned
Delicious!
Over all solid dim sum for the locals. Can t go wrong with their classics. The deep fried chicken knees are my favourite
10 course meal....not bad at all!!!!
Wonderful dimsum restaurant.
I booked Lee Garden For our family dinner of 65 people. Frankie was amazing, he listened to my banquet dinner needs and let me put together a 10 course dinner which i knew my entire family would enjoy. 6 Tables of 11 people each and on top of it all, Frankie was so easy to deal with, everything my family asked for or needed Frankie always responded with No Problem The service here is 10 out of 10 for us. They were so attentive and aware of all of our needs. The people are all so friendly and easy to get along with. Whatever our needs were, the emplyees and Frankie were more than happy to make happen for us. The food came out on time and exactly when we asked for it, the food was good portions and the flavor and presentation was amazing also. My family enjoyed the delicious food and will for sure be coming back here to enjoy another meal together in the future.
Food taste is really just mid. Relatively too expensive.
Good food , staffs friendly
I always come here for Chinese Family Dinners and dim sum. I particularly liked the scallops, tofu, eggplant pot tonight. The special was soy sauce chicken. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian goose is tasty
Food was superb, service was top notch, overall lively crowd, will recommend
The best Chinese food in East Vancouver and Burnaby! Try their fried rice.
Love dim sum here. The places got great variety, very tasty, and the service is friendly as well :)
Always a good place. Come here for dimsum and dinner. Food and service always amazing.
We came here for a small family dinner, 4 adults and 2 children. We ordered a set menu for 6 people. There were 2 sets of different coloured chopsticks for each person. This was different, rather than community chopsticks on the turntable. The crab/fish maw soup was okay, I found crab shells in my bowl. The 2nd dish was peking duck wrap. They gave us 11 wrappers for 6 people. So, we couldnt have 2 wraps each. The peking duck was very fatty and therefore made it chewy. To boost up the peking duck skin on the plate, they put them on shrimp chips. If you ate the shrimp chip on its own, its normally crunchy, but these were stale and soggy. They also provided probably 12 cucumber sticks and green onion. The hoisin sauce was watered down! The 3rd dish was lettuce wrap with the peking duck meat and some chopped up veggies. The duck mixture did not look appetizing. It was all dark and dry and it didnt taste fresh either. My husband noticed crunchy noodles around the mixture, I didnt see it and there wasnt much of it either. The 4th dish was lobster and noodles. The lobster was tasteless and awkwardly cut, so difficult to eat. The noodles were overdone and therefore soft and mushy. The 5th dish was pea tips and bean curd strips with gingko nuts. I actually liked this dish, it was simple, yet tasty. The 6th dish was beef, scallops and broccoli. The beef tenderloin was so soft and tasty, the scallops were good and broccoli was edible. The 7th dish was yellow chicken. Definitely not a favourite dish at the table! The chicken had no taste, normally there is flavour without dipping it in the green onion/ginger/oil dip, but not this dish. Normally when you have shellfish, they come take away the empty shells and give you new plates. Nope, they didnt so we ended up dumping all our shells off our plates onto the empty serving dish so they can take it away. We waited and waited and we expected the scallop fried rice (8th dish) to come. We asked about the next dish and it seemed like they forgot...so, we finally got the rice (it was steaming). They normally give you a new bowl too, but not this place. The rice wasnt flavourful enough. The kids enjoyed it better when I put the watered down hoisin sauce on the rice. Dessert was the 9th dish and it was red bean soup. This red bean soup was sweet, but not too sweet and had small tapioca pearls...it was good. Ive had this exact same menu and another restaurant and it was way better there than at this place. I would not come back here. This restaurant was busy, but not packed. As we walked past the fish tanks, we didnt see lobster, just crabs, some fish and floating fish. So, did we eat fresh lobster?? Definitely do not recommend this place. Dim Sum Definitely overpriced at $9.88 per dish! We ordered our regular dishes: ha gow (shrimp dumplings), siu mai (steamed pork dumplings), steamed spare ribs, chicken feet in special sauce, shrimp and beef rice rolls, chinese donut in rice roll, deep fried radish with XO sauce(no XO sauce tasted at all), chinese donut, spring rolls, sticky rice, eggplant with shrimp (small plate mostly filled with bean sprouts didnt even notice the shrimp), mango pudding (had cut up pear inside, no mango!), deep fried dumplings with pork, deep fried huge dumpling ball with sesame seed coating and red bean paste inside (these were large balls, maybe baseball size...with a fingernail size of red bean paste!). The food was not memorable (the kids said the same thing), but the prices were definitely memoriable in that well never go back! Disclaimer, we didnt pick this place for dim sum! Parking is also limited, we lucked out and got the last spot in the parking lot.
It was an amazing dining experience!!
Dim sum was good but service is a bit slack. Hopefully management can look into this. Parking: Parking is free but its pretty busy so lot is usually full and street parking is kind of limited
Low average dimsum
Celebrate my birthday dinner last Saturday. Frankie made us tailored menu plan. Reasonable price good portion and tasty food. Food coming out of the kitchen hot and fresh to our tables with out us asking and delay. There Staff is friendly always smiling and very helpful. Very satisfied with the staff attention to detail and service they provide us. high recommend this restaurant good central location in Burnaby. Joy birthday celebration!
I went to Lei Garden for morning tea at 9:30 am on August 24th. I had a very bad experience. If the tall and thin waitress with a bad attitude doesnt like her job, she can find another one. A job where you can look at peoples looks casually is a service industry, but asking customers to look at waiters looks is too much. The food is okay, but there is no discount. One of my heart-shaped pork ribs rice had to wait for an hour. I must have forgotten it. Please improve the service attitude!
Hong Kong people drink tea
Very good food, attentive servers with reasonable price! We definitely be back
You provide service with very commpetent people, I had a wonderful time at your service.
Food is $$ but they have some great dishes. My daughter loved the shrimp and broccoli. I would recommend their eggplant, tofu and scallops dish as well as their hot and sour soup. Chinese food is a staple in my house and this restaurant is definitely one Ill come back to.
Delicious and feel like we were in HK
Very good service
Good food and service
Im a regular of Lee Garden and I often either order take out or delivery. Today I ordered 5 dim sum dishes. When I was taking a bite of the rice rolls, I noticed that there was something strange in it. I spat it out and found part of a rubber tube. My mouth also tasted extremely bitter even after several rinse. I dont know if Ill ever go back to Lee Garden after such a disgusting experience.
The Hong Kong-style food is first-class, the service attitude is good, and pure Hong Kong-style service is expected. The decoration environment is good. I like the distance between the tables and the comfort.
Fried chicken no taste,Service good,Moon cake ok
Not too bad.
Mixed review. Food tastes good we always get the lobster and clams. Dim sum are overall good except a few forgettable dishes. Now the bad.... They brought us one that was about 2.5lbs but when the cooked dish came out the claws and head looks much smaller. I cant be sure if they do it or more since I didnt see it but maybe you can see if it happens to you too! Also the noodles (yellow Cantonese kind) are too bitter, too much bicarbonate perhaps?
They constantly overbook, so dont expect your reservation to matter.
Not complaining about the Burnaby store. But I complained about the Coquitlam store. I hope that your responsible company can contact me.
Their Dim Sum is good staffs are friendly and helpful the dinner was ok la
super busy spot, little bit on the pricy side. Like the flavours and the variety
Came to this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00 for dimsum and it was buzzing with patrons. Its a big space inside - lots of tables and chairs, and comfortable environs for a family get-together. We had a reservation so we were seated without much wait, and the food starts coming around your table almost as soon as you sit down. You can also order a la carte too. Har gao and shiu mai were big and plump - tasted very good. Prices are pretty standard - not too crazy expensive, but can rack up pretty quickly if you order a lot of items. Theres a big parking lot outside, but it was completely full when we arrived, so we had to park on the adjacent street and walk back to the restaurant. Good food overall - recommended!
Amazing service amazing food 10/10
Has become my fav Chinese restaurant!
Honestly, as a Cantonese person, the dim sum here reminds me so much of home. Its not overly expensive but the food here is amazing. The ha gao is not too big but very tasty while the beef rice noodle roll also tastes exactly like what I remembered back in Guangzhou. But my favorite has to be the red bean sesame balls - they were juicy, flavorful, and not overly sweet but it blends very well with the crunchiness. Definitely give them a try at the end! The servers were very attentive when I came as well, perhaps its because they arent very busy on weekdays. Although, like all dim sum restaurants, you would need to get their attention by waving or a hand signal. 5/5 would recommend!
We had a great time checking out Lee Garden for Dim Sum. The food is really good and the service was fast. Definitely would recommend this spot for dim sum.
Outstanding food and vibe with one miss order. I still want my creamy custard bao, will come back for more. Food
NOT good! We were REALLY sick the next day! Prices INcreased -standards and quality DEcreased!! We had 4 usual dim sum items to start- but the food was SO bad -we left . With good expectations-shu mai was ok. Pumpkin and spareribs was a few pieces of pumpkin and maybe a tablespoon of ACTUAL possible meat-the rest of that bamboo dish was bone, gristle, and knuckles! BIG$ $ mistake! THEN- the spring rolls- are now REALLY small and SO dry. BIG $$mistake! THEN- worst of all was that the dumplings with shrimp had a BAD taste and VERY obvious smell - as soon as we bit into the dumpling- it was UNmistakable . To begin with, the dough was SO thick and chewy- you couldnt cut it with a fork-the same with pan fried shrimp/pork chives dumpling dough-a mouthfull of chives but LUCKILY as it turned out- little pork/shrimps! We were SURE this time tasting again-NO MISTAKE-the shrimp WAS REALLY OFF ! We left not knowing what to say !! It IS anybodys choice here with reviews, but just the trust, quality AND quantity alone in their food HAS gone DOWN comparitively. SURELY, SOMEbody handling that food knew tainted shrimp when they smelled it?? Money making comes before health here? NOT a chance we want to try again-bad shrimp or no!
Tastes good, beautiful environment
The receptionist is so rude, if you don t speak Cantonese then don t come. She will make you keep waiting for an hour
Rubbish
Pleasantly surprised how good this place is. Bit old school. Only one entrance from the back, no entrance from Kingsway. Had a full meal here and everything was good!
Regardless of the managements decision, the waiters are first class in politeness Clean and elegant environment The food tastes good and the portions are moderate.
Terrible service in the waiting area! We booked a table for 12pm and arrived on time but would need to wait for an hour to get our table... And it happens every time.
It was my first experience of zao cha introduced by my Chinese friend. I felt like I was in a Hong Kong movie lol food was delicious and servers were kind and fun. I went with my friend couple, I think it would be better if went with more people.
The product is average, the place is spacious, there is nothing to fault.
very tasty dishes and pleasant staff.
their products are always good
Spacious. Quiet. Good portion. Attentive services. However, on the pricey side. Great place for dinner gathering.
