Chinese Food Dine in, Delivery, Take-out
Beware of this place. Got the takeout menu through their website that I found through a google search. The menu said Dinner for 2 for $29, so I went ahead and ordered it. When I came to pick it up, the bill was $41. When I asked the lady why the price differed, she said they have a new price. She then goes online and uploads the new price list and charges me the new price. Talk about scamming people. And for the amount of food and price compared to the ones from the competitors down the road, I dont recommend this place. Its not worth it.
Last week I ordered veg chow mein , delicious 😋
We dined here the other night, and I have to say we left feeling incredibly happy and satisfied. The food was outstanding—everything was fresh and flavorful, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. The service was just as impressive. Our server made us feel like honored guests in his home, greeting us warmly, chatting, and even sharing a few jokes. His friendliness and hospitality really added a personal touch to the evening. Since we live only a few minutes away, this has quickly become my favorite Chinese restaurant. It seems they get more takeout orders than dine-in customers, but this spot definitely deserves more love. If you’re thinking of giving it a try, go for it—you won’t regret it!
We order food through SKIP, so cannot comment on the service. However, the food was very poor quality and poor value. Will NEVER be ordering here again. The meat (pineapple pork) had no meat, full of bones and sinew, literally battered bone and fat. The "veggie" noodles were noodles with a few bits of veggies, by bits I mean 4 small pieces of peppers and onion, and half a piece of bok choy. This should not be called veggie noodle, it is false advertising. It was very disappointing. If I knew this, wouldnt have ordered here, +$70 feels like robbery. Save your money! Go elsewhere.
Pretty bottom of the barrel when compared to Paul’s or North King Noodle House. The combos are decent if you want to scratch that “takeout” itch. Avoid the spring rolls. Also they don’t have plum sauce, they have duck sauce.
We attend annually after visiting my late father's grave on his birthday. We order some dishes that he used to make and eat well. Food is always fresh and consistent and we always enjoy it.
Food was absolutely disgusting. Everything had a chemical taste to it, especially the chicken chow mein. The “chicken” on top of the chow mein didn’t look like meat, it was foamy and limp and I didn’t dare eat it.
A lovely experience. Good food, clean environment and patient, friendly staff.
Amazing food! Great price! Gotta try. Its really good food and good food. Just one block away!
Surprisingly good chow mein
Every time I came here I loved it, the workers are awesome an definitely here again
Very mediocre . Meat was dry and Vegitables were bland. The Wonton soup was delicious and the highlight of the meal.
We got take out. It was delicious Dietary restrictions: They were great with my requests. Thank you Food : 5/5 |
Great for take out. Always friendly.
Delicious Chinese food, consistent quality, and friendly service. Favourite dishes include curried potatoes, lemon chicken, fish on top of tofu with ginger-green onion-soya sauce dressing.
This place is wonderfully delightful We love the food
Delightful meal and tea. Casual dining with very good prices. Great service.
Went twice for Dim Sum and found it disappointing
Fish was not fresh, some pieces had little spoiled taste. Sparerib was cooked way out of my expectation, coating on each piece was so thick. meat was tasteless. Will not return.
Food was ready quickly, service was decent, but made a mistake on my order. It happens. No disrespect intended, but the tops of the takeout containers were not written in English, so had no idea I had something other than I ordered. :-) nice to try different things I reckon. No harm, no foul. I will go back and order from there again.
Stopped by this restaurant completely randomly today and the food and service was great! Very big portions of tasty food, definitely recommend!
food is decent prices are good staff is very friendly Parking: friendly staff. Food : 4/5 |
Food is average, nothing great
Food was decent. On a Sunday noon, the place was completely empty so lots of room.
Great food, service and atmosphere.
Order the chicken chowmain they put fake chicken
In my opinion, I cannot find a better ginger beef dish anywhere in Vancouver. Ensure you ask for the house special ginger beef though, or you may get something else. Enjoy.
Perfect food with amazing amount and reasonable price!
Surprisingly good Chinese food and reasonable prices.
My family has been ordering from Peking for 30+ years. It is the only Chinese food my dad would eat . 7 years ago my parents moved away and I hadnt had their delicious food since. My mom and I went last Sunday for lunch , just as I remembered, fresh flavorful and perfect! The prawns in black bean sause is a masterpiece the ginger beef the best Ive ever had and the curry chicken chow mein is a family favorite. Even the shrimp fried rice is beyond expectation. I urge all food lovers to go to Peking and experience the joy in eating their food , you can tell it is prepared and cooked with love and pride.
First time there today! Great service! great portions! Thank you!!
Same price. You can eat fresher dishes at the food court
We ordered the Dinner for 2 and Ginger Beef. The food was fast, the portions were generous. The ginger beef was the shining star. Wasn t a huge fan of the chicken chow mein. We would order again in the future.
Love this place, been coming here since the early 2000 s when they first opened and it s still my families favourite Chinese restaurant in Burnaby. We ve tried a lot of the items but my recommendations are the cream corn soup with chicken, Szechuan style chicken chow mein (ask for it to be with crispy noodles), beef fried rice & chilli fish. Thank you to the owners who have always made great food and kept the prices affordable.
We have always enjoyed thd food. The Chow Mein is very tasty and so is their house special ginger beef. The quality and service there is excellent.
Very tasty!
very nice !!!
Expensive and small amount of peking duck. We still had lots of food on the dishes and were chatting and having beers but the owner lady kept gesturing time out and asking if she can take the dishes. There were lots of food sitting on the dishes at the moment. Restaurant was pretty empty (only two other tables were there) and she was trying to kick us out for no reason. Worst experience we had paying such a high bill.
The waiter was very attentive and made sure the food fit my dietary restrictions. The food was not bad. I really liked the fried tofu.
Nice service. Always delicious. Good portions and prices. Friendly staff. Good food.
A gem of a Chinese restaurant in North Burnaby. Great service and tasty Cantonese food. Always satisfies my Chinese food fix.
Good food, good prices, been using take out and delivery over 25 yrs.
Chow mein had bean sprouts that were off, i buy chinese food for noodles so was a disappointment. Rest of food was ok sweet and sour pork nice flavor but noodles were so bad they were thrown out =(
I was looking to order from somewhere new and decided on Peking Restaurant. When my food arrived, the portions of the meat (honey garlic pork and sweet and sour pork) were in insanely small containers; while the chow mein and beef & broccoli were packaged in larger containers - almost double the size. For an order that totalled close to $70, this was a total rip-off. A lot of the pork was also inedible as there was a lot of gristle/fat. Very disappointed.
Ordered through Uber and the portions were tiny compared to other Chinese restaurants. Really disappointed
We just ordered from this place, Im very disappointed. This is the number one most bland chinese food I have ever had. Everything was awful...even the Cantonese chow mein, I mean how can that be so bland when its supposed to be flavourful...I feel like we wasted $50, absolutely wont recommend.
Very decent food at a very good price.
Was very sub par . Couldn t eat it
Not bad, but not great.
Great place with great food, big portion size with cheap price , would 100% recommend this place if you live in north Burnaby/brentwood area, the service way above and beyond.
The food is good. However I am going to give you a 5 star review as you have the most amazing delivery driver in the universe. We keep on ordering from you simply because this gentleman brightens up our familys lives when he rings on our door bell. He is so joyful, warm and friendly that it is truly contagious.
Very good. Cooked to my specific requirements.
Tried to make an online order. An unfriendly person offered to come to the restaurant and make the order. When asked about size of the portion was told that she cant show me the size over the phone.
Its the best
In the last 8 months ive tried there food and it seems the more i try it the worst it gets. Im done. Beef green pepper chow mien was aweful, no presents of black bean and was watery, sweet and sour pork is ok but rice is an add on. Just had egg foo yung and it was simply edible, and yes rice was an add on and so was ginger onion condiment. 18 dollar mistake. I miss onlok Btw the chow mein w black bean sauce went in the garbage hard to find good chinese food in n bby if you know what good asian food is dont come here.
We got food delivered by Peking restaurant for the first time. Recommended by a friend. Our order arrived in a timely manner. Got the Ginger Beef, S & S Chicken, Deep Fried Shrimp & BBQ Pork Fried Rice. Hands down it was the BEST tasting Chinese food we have had in the Greater Vancouver area. The pricing was very fair. We will be ordering from Peking Restaurant very soon and again, and again.
My friend ordered take out from this restaurant yesterday. The Peking pork chop and Peking BBQ Duck taste so good. Highly recommend.
I ordered the dinner for one with chow mein and almond chicken. it was AMAZING!!! First time ordering from here on Skip the Dishes and I really loved it. price was fair until Skip put their tax on it, but Ill order directly next time. The Almond Chicken had this amazing sweet powder on top and once I added a little soy sauce to it, it was really awesome.
Great taste good prices
Cons: Insufficient parking on busy nights, a somewhat seedy area of North Burnaby. Pros: Good Chinese food at good prices, Fast and very friendly service, dining area is humble but clean. Conclusion: great value if you can overlook some small shortcomings.
Good Chinese food for take out and delivery.
Has been around forever. Love Stanley who always has a smile on his face!
Is the Cantonese restaurant called Beijing Hotel? ? ? The taste is not that good either
Delicious food for both delivery and takeout!
Good food and service.
Dim sum was great.
Excellent price, good food
Great and friendly service. Food was excellent too.
My sister and I got food poisoning from here. It tasted really nice, was up early in the morning sick so
The food was tasty and reasonably priced .
Incredible Peking duck! We traveled all the way from Dominican Republic to try this world famous Peking duck.
Good food, good service, polite staff, clean environment and lots of nearby parking.
Good food but the portions are tiny! Dont go if you have an appetite.
Food is above our expectations, big portions and price is really cheap
Ordered at 5pm. It arrives 6:42pm. I used to love this place for a ton of chinese-canadian staples but this time the beef was so low quality it was like slimy mush. Beef and black bean chow mein had 80% beef and veggies, barely any noodles? Sad.
Good food at a great price. Service is excellent.
Food is delicious will
Great food, awesome staff, very much recommended.
I really like their house special ginger beef, and their cream of corn cod filet. OH and also their curry beef potato. YUMYUM! Would definitely come again! Recommend
Our first choice for family dining Chinese food. The restaurant is quite old but food is quite tasty and not salty. The male waiter is super friendly. Food arrives quickly with good portion size. Really like their chilli chicken, but quite disappointed with the Kung pao chicken.
Been 1 hour and 16 minutes since i ordered delivery from there. I always order from here and now the delivery timing is way to long now im waiting an extra 20 minutes for my food now and its been soggy over the past 3 deliverys
Great place in the North Burnaby area for Chinese food.
Good service and food.
Ok food, service could be better as order did not come all at once. Different dishes came too far apart. Decor is dated and cutlery the same.
Been coming here for over 10 years and know a family who also have loved it for almost 20 years ! Highly recommend pretty much anything on the menu. Delicious and great service! Honey garlic shredded tender beef, lemon chicken, sauteed gai lan in garlic sauce, wonton soup, chicken chow mein, ginger beef and many more are my FAVOURITE!!! Just yummy!
Bad customer service.
Price very reasonable and affordable, taste good in general dishes
I got food poisoning from their sweet and sour pork on rice... Been sick for 1 week and still not getting better.
Decent
Decent priced Chinese food, portions are big too.
Overall nice place, staff is friendly but retarded as a hillbilly on Valentines day, prices are like any other Chinese restaurant
The food is great, the staff are super friendly and welcoming, and delivery is always very prompt! I ve been a customer for 3 years, and they never cease to amaze :D Thanks, Peking!!
Nice place, not very expensive.
Enjoyed the atmosphere with great friends . The food was tasty and reasonably priced .
We order deliver once and a while great and friendly service every time on the phone and at deliver Alway hot and quick
Very good, friendly staff. Food is okay, but not great. Often empty, so food turnover is slow (not always fresh). Likely more takeout business than eat in. Decent prices. Facility is clean, but rundown.
Been there twice. Good place, Good food, good price.
