The menu needs to be easier or bigger to read. Where is the english??? At least add numbers. No, i dont wear glasses haha. 🤣 Yummy dishes. Friendly casual vibe.
Very tasty food! The owners were very helpful with the menu and patient with us. We came 30 minutes before closing and told us to don't rush even after closing! The food was very flavorful, highly recommend the beef cumin bao. The bread to meat ratio was perfect! The lamb noodle soup was very tasty too!
One of the best Xi’an Cold Skin Noodles 西安凉皮 that makes it right. The Beef Cumin Bao is also very good. Not to mention how tasty the Lamb Noodle Soup was. This place deserves more attention.
This noodle place is a hidden gem in the plaza. I have not tried noodles that can be so different from typical noodle houses. Flavored but not overpowering. Tried their cold noodle with chilli sauce, lamb with noodle soup, and stir fried noodle with beef. Have to go there again. The restaurant only takes cash, be prepared before going.
Food were served in plastic takeout containers. I felt like I was eating at Crystal Mall food court. Only 2 people (husband & wife) working in this small restaurant. The woman server speaks Mandarin and very very little English. Scanned the menu code on the table and there’s no option to place the order. Woman came by and I had to point to what I wanted on my phone. Food was average and service was slow and poor. The woman server talked very loud to another table beside us. Being that it’s such a small restaurant, the volume of their voices just echoed loudly. Would not be coming back until I learn to speak Mandarin. This place only takes cash.
Small place located in a strip mall. Nice lady took our order and served us throughout the meal. The food was very tasty and not too oily. We had the shredded potatoe, dumplings and two noodle dishes. I love the thick flat noodles... lookingnforward to my next visit to try other food items.
TerraCotta Boyz is a Chinese noodle shop located in the Old Orchard Shopping Centre in Burnaby. This smallish shop has a few tables on one side of the store and a stand-up counter on the opposite side. Their menu is fairly basic but odds are that you’re coming here for their noodles. The server had recommended that I try their Spicy & Sour Pork Noodles in Soup ($12) so I took him up on his suggestion. I found that the soup was not overly spicy or sour but it is noticeable (especially if you’re unfamiliar with this combination of flavours). I did enjoy the texture and the varying thickness of the long and wide noodles (I need to work on my noodle pull technique). The dish also contained a small amount of thin beef, cut up tofu puffs, and veggies but it felt a bit sparse. While I was waiting for my meal to arrive, I could hear a loud slapping sound coming from the kitchen… assuming it was from them making their noodles. Overall, I was a bit undecided about this dish so I made a note to come back here and try one of their non-soup noodles to see how that compared. It actually took me about 4 months before I finally managed to come back for a revisit and this time I ordered the Fried Beef Sauce Noodles ($12). As expected, the English on the menu isn’t very descriptive but I wound up pleased with this dish. Again, there was the loud noodle slapping noise coming from the kitchen while I waited. And they had to ask me to move over to the counter because a larger party came in after me. This bowl had a generous portion of long, broad noodles of varying thickness topped off with well-seasoned fried ground beef, sprouts, and a few pieces of veggies. You have to kind of mix it up before you eat and the sauce was only mildly spicy but I did think this turned out quite good.
The burgers here is one thing you won't miss out on. However........the noodles were very well done! Nice spring and bounce in every bite, the flavour is nice but I somehow feel like they used to be better before......for those who don't know, they used to be one of my top favourite places for noodles before they closed down. Now since they reopened....its pretty similar but not quite there yet....hopefully they can match what they served before. The cucumber dish was very refreshing though. It's a small place with very limited seating.
Sooo good. Very authentic Xi an food. This place is way better than old xi an in my opinion
Most authentic shaanxi food in vancouver. Service is better than most Chinese restaurants.
Owner is so rude Owner is so rude Food
We ordered takeout and waited over 40 minutes for food. 4 to 5 other people who came and ordered after us got their food first. When we asked them how long the food was going to take they said they were making it now and we could see they just started putting food in their wok about 40 minutes after our order. This was as the table that arrived 10 minutes after us was halfway finished their food. We would not come again especially when there are so many other good options in the area.
I dont know if Koreans tastes will have different tastes, but it feels like real Chinese food. Its good to try once, but its just not to my taste. But even though the closing time had passed, people still waited to eat. (Orders must be placed 15 minutes before closing) Anyway, rather than saying it s delicious, I m grateful that it allowed me to eat at such a late hour!
Great hand made noodles and dumplings!
Veeeery good food! Every dish we ordered is tasty!!
The waiter at the front desk had a bad attitude and was slow to serve the food. I don t know where so many good reviews came from. When I tried to pay with Alipay, I was asked to pay more and they said I had to pay tax.
When it first opened I got a soup which was too salty. First time back due to the reviews. I am impressed the food reminds of my bagua teacher s wife cooking! I loved it would recommend to others
I was under some medical situation and just passing through it so I asked to use their bathroom. The lady at the front desk refused me and was being very rude. I believe it is based on my race and skin color.
I dont think my server was trying to be funny, but he made us laugh out loud. His eyes went wide when we ordered two Pao Mo noodles and 2 buns, and said Thats too much. He was right. We barely finished our Pao Mo, and we didnt end up ordering the buns. The food was amazing, will definitely come back to try the buns since it seems really popular. Most people order take out or delivery, very few tables, no music, and dim lighting.
Small, casual mom and pop shop selling Xian dishes hailing from Northwestern China. Food from this area is often hard to master but this restaurant does a superb job. The owners are very friendly, food is delicious, and the portion sizes are quite generous. Our favorites were their thick noodles and the lamb soup -- each sip of soup tastes like a bite of meat, in the best way possible. Parking is easy in this plaza. Mom & pop arent fluent in English, so if you are not familiar with food from this region, read the menu very carefully and/or be prepared for a (yummy) culinary adventure.
It was the first time in several years since I left my hometown to eat spicy meatball soup. The boss aunt is very enthusiastic and the taste is very authentic As a Xian person, I am very satisfied I wish the boss a prosperous new year! Come on Xi an people!
It tastes good but the wait took too long. After more than half an hour of food, I didn t see the movie proprietress and I was even more angry when she was still watching the live broadcast.
Average taste
Xian cuisine, good luck!
Cash only. Pls respect my choice to voice my thoughts :)
The noodles are very good and authentic. It would be better if it was normal cutlery instead of disposable cutlery.
Mipi is very authentic. The dough is a little softer than the one in Xian, but its very fragrant. Next time I will try their noodles and steamed buns. As a native of Xian, I highly recommend it.
It tastes good, but the amount of rice crust is too small
What a great place, small and bright, not really made for fine in as they serve you in take out containers. The noodles are authentic and handmade, the dumplings are amazing! I found it very affordable and good portion size. Nice guy and food was fast.
Hand made wide noodles in soupy broth, so good on a cold day!
Everything is freshly made - super flavourful! The texture of the biang biang noodle was
The family running the place is very sweet!! The home cooked food is delicious!! The vegetarian dumplings are the best I have ever had. The spicy sour soup with those Veggie dumplings....omg. The broth is incredible! Also had the biang biang noodles....yum! So happy I stumbled upon this place. Cant wait to try more food here!!
We were in the mood to eat dumplings but all the places we go to were closed so we tried this place. This place is very good/ different. Handmade noodles and dumplings. Not sure what part of China it s from, but it s very different. All the stuff was very fresh and tasty, I ll come back when I m in the area
Noodles were unreal!
Simple flying solo dinner. I like the spicy beef appy, but not the noodles. Service was good, atmosphere match the price you pay
It was the worst cold noodle Ive ever had....it tasted like they have put the noodle in the fridge for 2 nights, very dry. Portion was small too.
Not cost-effective, and they don t accept credit cards
Love this place. A regular spot, super friendly staff and fantastic food. Thank you!!! Food : 5/5
Too little stuff for too high a price! Not knowing how long they could hold on?
Insanely good noodles, great flavours, fresh ingredients and perfect spices!
A nondescript, humble little place with high value, amazing food and friendly service. I bought carry out, went to the BC Liquor store two doors down. My order was ready, and I couldnt resist opening the container when I got back to the car, because it smelled so good. I devoured the whole dish. One of the best Asian noodle dishes ever ! ! Will return many times. Parking: Super easy to park, lots of spaces
Nice
Convenient area to park. The restaurant is really small, it feels more like a mini food court. The noodles are amazing though! Finished it so quick that I wanted another bowl. This place seems more like a take out/delivery place but it is nice to be able to eat in as well. Would honestly come back for the noodles again.
Operated by truly Shaaxinian. Good taste!
Super authentic Xian cuisine. I have tried different Xian flavors from the surrounding area, and theirs is still the best! Five-star review Tried different Shaanxi style food, I like this one the best. All the food are good, highly recommend.
The best & I had in Vancouver ever!!! Reminds me food in China in Xian. And they are playing the playlist of Jay Chou!!!
Dont expect a full dining experience at this location. But if you are looking for good tasting Chinese style noodle (spicy or not), this place is worth the try. You will be surprised.
Can you change Googles business hours? ? You came all the way here and you told me that it wouldnt open the door. It clearly said 20:30 and we closed at 19:45. What do you mean? Don t open a store if you don t want to? ?
Very authentic and good northwestern Chinese food. Not greasy. You can choose all lean meat option for the famous JiaMo. Noodles are handmade with good veggies and meat sauce. The only complaint is the long wait time. Service is friendly. Price is higher than other places, but the quality is worthy.
Yummy:)
The best Shaanxi food in Burnaby that s closest to the actual Original Shaanxi taste. Verified by a Shaanxi local, me
Super delicious! The same taste as what I had in Xi an! Why dont you live nearby? I hate it so much.
Oh my god, it s so delicious! As a person from Xian, I tasted the taste of the roadside shop in my hometown. This time I ordered steamed buns with dried flowers and rolled dough. I will try other varieties next time! I was so excited that I cried. This is what pregnant women with serious pregnancy problems want to eat
Warning! Staff is rudee and menu is (outdated) lower price. They cannot be bothered to change the price and said that the computer or (whatever) price they charge prevails. Food is just OK and also quite oily. Parking: Available.
Delicious noodles and affordable prices! But they only accept cash.
Who Use cash these days no wonder u guys don t have business
The best (rou jia mo, braised pork bun) Ive had outside of China! Ive looked for it all over since a trip to Xian, and the ones here are even better than the ones from the Xian Famous Foods chain in NYC, and the ones Ive tried in Toronto. Family-owned restaurant where everything is freshly made. Service is very helpful, polite, and efficient. My only suggestion would be to add English descriptions to the online menus for first-timers (I saw some people struggling with their order) You can get to an English menu with pictures by clicking order online from their website. If I lived closer Id eat here every week! Ill definitely be back when Im in town again!
Another restaurant that only accept cash, food is ok.
Really good noodles. Ordered off uber eats
Excellent authentic Xian cuisine.
It s so suitable for the stomachs of people from northern Shaanxi! The roujiamo, rice noodles, and mutton in the water basin were all excellent. If one portion of cold lettuce was not enough, another portion was added! The shabu-shabu tripe and shabu-shabu sauce are a bit salty. Everything else is good!
Delicious flavour! Definitely try the noodles and the flatbread in soup. Theyre good the next day too. The restaurant only has take-out dishes and cutlery, so the atmosphere isnt the best. I prefer to just do take-out and eat at home. Be warned, the spicy sauce in the noodles will probably spill in the bag if youre not careful.
Do not take debit and refused washroom access to myself but no one else.
The hand pulled noodles with chili, garlic, and sizzling oil was a winner! Noodles were al dente, savoury, and aromatic
The price has gone up, but the food has become less. If you add four yuan to the price, half of the pork is tofu and its sour and smelly. What a mess. I feel so uncomfortable spending $20 for lunch.
Tasty food with good portion. The server was friendly and helpful. Loved the lean meat sandwich and noodles.
Unassuming spot but the noodles here are unreal. Best Xi an nudez in the city. Nice owner / staff.
the most authentic thick noodles in Burnaby
Food is amazing, but they re never open when it says they are!
Long time customer from the days they were on Main Street. I love the veggie dumplings in hot and sour soup (where else can you find good veggie dumplings), their vegetarian bao, the cold noodles, tomato egg noodles and of course the chili biang biang. Everything is very reasonably priced.
one of the best restaurants in the area. food is authentic and delicious, cumin bun is delicious. the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, and you can just tell that they put so much love and care into their restaurant. prices are very affordable and i cannot recommend this place enough. give it a try !!
Bad experience with the old man. Just hang up the phone being very rude.
Best authentic mainland food in the area. Rich flavours, fresh ingredients, and creative flair. The Xi an Pao Mo is rich and tasty, Shrimp stir-fried rice has a unique spicy aroma, the Dumplings are super-delicious, and the Biangbiang noodles fresh and sooooo good. I would highly recommend TerraCotta Boyz to anyone looking for good value and exceptional cuisine.
Did not feel welcome
Cumin beef jiamo. Didnt expect ground beef, prefer sliced but flavours are pretty good and appreciated the clean taste, you can tell everything is house made. Prices on the higher side, and cash only unfortunately!
Small portions, expensive, poor service. Definitely not worth it. The cashier chopped the meat for me without washing her hands. She also charged me 15% more for a takeout, and only accepted cash and Wechat payment. Cost $50 for a meal I would at most pay $20 for.
Amazing food, service and of course brown sugar!
Hygiene needs attention, hope to improve
I stumbled upon these excellent dumplings and chili sauce. My go to place closed as I pulled up, go figure... This must of been a sign from the gods because, fact! These terracotta dumplings were so good I burned the roof of my mouth eating them so quickly. I did not care they were still boiling from the pot. I just wolfed them down like a savage wildling north of the wall. Well that was a great 3pm snack. 7:47 pm and cleared for landing, touch down and Im having a rather runny dumpling of my own, a whole lotta chive but no afterburner. Well done I will be back for more.
So authentic Shaanxi noodles!
I like it Owner is very nice (with his unique monotone ) I don t usually eat spicy but it s very friendly to my tongue
Bad taste, not fresh
Xi an food tastes so good You can go there and give it a try
Hands down best Xian street food style dishes for miles around. If you havent had Chili Biang Biang (vegetarians take note!) you havent lived. Get the Biang Biang, get a bun, dip that bun and live with no regrets. Did I mention the noodles themselves are hand made when you order? Delicious. Then! Come back for flavor town with the Sweet and Sour Dumpling Soup, or the comforting Egg & Tomato Noodles (or... New menu option! Mix styles with BB + E&T together at last )... Really so many great dishes, been coming here since it was Sunny Spot on Main St. (gd rent-evictions) and the owner still works the till and has the same team from Sunny, and in the last couple years since the move theyve really hit their stride. Support new restaurants and your new addiction for Noodle perfection.
Delicious handmade noodles freshly made upon order! We ordered the Biang Biang dry noodles with vegetables and the fried beef sauce, the spicy and sour pork noodle soup, the pork bun and cabbage salad and really enjoyed it. The flavours were distinct, refined and sophisticated for a street food style meal - the texture of the noodles were excellent. Cannot wait to come back to check out the other menu items.
Cozy place for some authentic Xian food.
Delicious! Had the beef bun, pork dumplings, and beef biang biang. I used to have these at the Sunny Spot Cafe on Main st and they re exactly how I remember.
Great food, many dishes are spicy but testy.
Authentic and that s it
Their house made noodles and dumplings are delicious! A small, cozy and minimalistic approach designed place. Seems locally operated and I highly recommend it!
It tasted great before, then it got worse and worse. Prices are also getting higher and higher. The Roujiamo meat became tasteless and there was no soup. The steamed buns became perfunctory, the side dishes had too much MSG, and the taste was dry. Don t want that flavor to go away. I hope the boss will take it seriously and do better instead of getting worse.
Lamb noodle is the shieeeet
The noodles are amazing, but be warned if you order online for pickup. This place is CASH ONLY so show up with cash or youl find yourself running to an ATM.
Food is very good. Traditional xian food. The taste is very authentic.
Ordered braised chicken with potatoes, but there is no potatoes inside it ,a lot of bones. not worth 30 dollars
Ordered the from the delivery website. They charged CAD$33.5 from the delivery site. I would say that is pretty expensive for the dish of . I can easily get similar dish with much cheaper price < 20 with the same amount elsewhere. Way too expensive for the dish and the taste is just normal like others. If this price isnt far off, I will be okay with it. But hard to miss with $15 dollars differences. On top of that, the dish also claims to have potato in there but there isnt any when I ate it. A big disappointment.
Fast service and delicious food! Decently authentic. Biang biang noodles are a must try and the lamb buns are delicious too. Highly recommend :)
Went to this place last Friday evening, around 5:00pm, But its closed. Does anyone know whether its still open or not?
Please dont come here....I saw the cook tasting the soup directly from the ladle while cooking the food in the kitchen. So scary and unacceptable at all!!!!!
Not one of my favorite restaurants. Fresh and comfortable decoration. Every dish is full of home feeling. The boss and clerk are also very nice! Whether you are alone or with a group, it is a great choice ~ I ordered stir-fried, tomato and egg noodles. Really beautiful and delicious.
Dope food. Definitely worth to try it out.
It s super delicious. I ve been eating their food for 3 to 4 years. Their water basin mutton is very authentic and has accompanied me on countless final lonely nights. The boss is also very interesting. I heard he is a fitness enthusiast! ! ! It s not easy to open such a delicious restaurant and still stay in shape! Come on, come on, like it~
Very authentic Xian style food. It was my first time to try the stir-fried beef steamed buns. It was very juicy and tasty. I also had the flower-dried egg steamed buns that are not found in other restaurants. It is very special. It is a store that I will visit again. It is worth trying for everyone.
Authentic Xian style food. The store is clean and tidy~ Every time I go there, I have to eat tomato egg noodles and rice noodles! ! ! Highly recommended to everyone
delicious! ! Highly recommended to eat! Very authentic Xian cuisine
Chill place with a modernized design, reasonable portion of the food. Great taste and cooler environment than average Chinese restaurant that you ve been to.
reasonable price with authentic food, this is the restaurant that I can really taste the flavour of China. Their spicy&sour soup with rice noodle is a must try!
Amazing Restaurant. The service is excellent.. Food is so delicious...Fully Recommended!
Authentic Xian cuisine, handmade dough, super elastic, clean environment, handsome boss
nice dishes best Xi an food ever. Highly recommend place!! BTW, chef owner is cute;)
Delicious Xian cuisine that is rare in Greater Vancouver! The fried noodles are so fragrant and delicious! The boss s hand-pulled noodles technique is really amazing! Every noodle dish is delicious and the price is quite affordable! A restaurant worth visiting again!
If you are living in Vancouver and want to try some real traditional XIAN food this is the place! Easy parking, modern and cozy interior design, and very friendly staff. One of my favorite Chinese restaurant!
Medium price. Decent taste. Really loved the flavour of the braised lamb. The soup felt clean. My bowl was fairly big. The wide noodles were tasty. My wifes dish was so so, loaded with a lot of spices. Nothing crazy here that makes me have to go back. But not bad by any means.
This restarant has no idea how to run a business. We were not brought our plates and utensils until we asked for it. Our appetizer came very late and our food did not come out. We asked how much longer the food would take and they said 5 min several times. After an hour of waiting (yes actually) , the food still didnt come. So we told them to cancel the order and just left. If theyre not going to offer food at a restarant... Then maybe dont be a restaurant?
Small restaurant seating about 15 - 20 people. I really liked the decor and color scheme, really minimalistic and clean. Although the menu selection was small everything on it looked good. I was really eager to try the spicy beef cumin bun and their noodles but the restaurant seemed more interested in fulfilling their to-go orders than feeding the people in the restaurant. I think we waited over an hour for our food before we opted to cancel our order and left. Owners, if youre reading this please make sure you learn to prioritize your orders better. Im sure your food is good but its really unfortunate I wasnt able to try any.
Tomato egg noodles are so amazing Very fragrant. One of the best tomato and egg noodles I have ever eaten in Vancouver. The face is the kind of wide-faced trousers-belt face It s so fragrant
The egg braised noodles taste terrible
The service is good, and the fried noodles and egg noodles are delicious. The stir-fried beef steamed buns taste good, but I m not used to it. I ll try the steamed buns next time.
I came around noon and despite nobody being there, it took 20mins for my bowl to come out. The oil noodles were a nice smooth texture but there was really nothing special about the bowl. It lacked flavour and components. perhaps adding meat would enhance it.
Love hand made noodles and spicy beef soup.
The food was only ok. The menu was very limited. The chopped meat sandwich was too salty, not juicy enough, and I had to pay extra for aromatics that should be part of the package. Also Im pretty sure XiAn food is not supposed to be numb spicy like Sichuan, which this place was. Wont be returning.
It is the gem in Burnaby and you must try it if you haven t. The restaurant is small but clean and bright with yellow and white colours. Their noddles are all handmade, and the one with tomato and fried egg sauce is my favourite and must have every time when I was there. Xiao-chai is the other one I have to order each time especially in Winter. You can t image flour can become juicy and tender at the same time with veg and meat. Their food is local and it always recalls me the memories in China when I was young. If you want traditional family-style Chinese food, go there and you won t regret!
Very nice place to eat, food tastes amazing
Super delicious! The best Xi an style I ve ever tasted!
We are doing much better now than when we first opened.
It has a very hometown feel. Not disappointed every time I go
The best noodle in Burnaby
I like the noodles and the other small dishes very well. This restaurant is very nice and comfortable. The food is very taditional Xian Food. Also the ower is very cute. You can watch him cooking if you like. LOL. I strongly recommend to everyone.
It s so delicious. I m so domineering! !
Ive only tried their pulled noodles once, and safe to say its pretty amazing. Im not super tolerant of spiciness (unfortunately I am growing out of it) and let them know to lower it, and it was perfect for me! I had a simple bowl with spicy oil sauce and veggies and I loved it. The texture of the noodles are chewy like the skin of a chinese dumpling, not soggy whatsoever. I like me a bowl of simplicity.
The Roujiamo tastes pretty good. . . But I think the noodle soup is really like MSG mixed with Lao Gan Ma. . .
very good
I want to know who got into the habit of adding coriander and green pepper at extra cost~ Isn t this what it should be! baffling
I went here in the morning when it first opened. I ordered pulled noddles with pork and what I got served in under 2 mins was microwaved left overs. I could clearly hear a microwave and the food was served under 2 mins.
The oily noodles are very delicious. My boyfriend and I often come to eat. The mutton is very fragrant and the noodles are stringy.
Very fulfilling! It is spicy and a perfect meal during this Spring. The noodles are handcrafted as you can hear the kneading sound while you are enjoying the foods. We each ordered and shared their new menu, Pork Dumpling.
This is small restaurant with unique Xian specialties that is not found readily in Burnaby. The food is prepared well though I found the one server a bit too busy when the restaurant was full. Overall, it was good meal with distinctive menu selections.
Anyone else in search of the perfect noodles? @adorables and I dropped by @terracotta_boyz_xian_noodle recently to try their Xi-an version of noodles! Basically theyre super wide noodles that can capture a lot of sauce with the extra surface area. We got the tomato and egg noodles, which were delicious. Added a little extra spicy oil for the much needed kick after a long day of work! The noodles are chewy, long, and so fun to eat! A good portion too. Also got a pork bun, which was less exciting. Flavors were good but overall too dry for my liking. The bun was crispy on the inside and soft inside with the flavorful pork. Overall a clean little store and I really enjoyed the noodles. A little on the pricey side for noodles but if Im in the area would drop by for my carb cravings
The environment is good, the music is good, but the food is terrible
A bit disorganized as we ordered takeout and when we got there we were told the order didn t come through. It s a small place so i was surprised an order placed 10 mins earlier was forgotten about. But aside from that, i really like the fried beef sauce noodle.
Had dry spicy pork bowl for lunch. Really like the wide flat noodles. Very good but not spicy at all. If you only like a little heat then its a good option.
Great dumplings
I like noodle
Very tasty. The clerk is also very nice!
The dough is very chewy and delicious Oily noodles are also good But the shredded chicken rice noodles are not delicious. The rice noodles are not the authentic Yunnan thick rice noodles. They are the thin ones. There is sesame oil in the soup base, which is good, but it has no taste. It only feels spicy. The rice noodles are not chewy enough.
The portion is very generous The chef is also from Shaanxi, which is a great surprise~ The taste is also super authenticd
Taste of hometown
Not worth a penny. The food is either too spicy or too oily. Roujiamou is too dry and not flavorful, wont go another time.
Hidden jewel for those who like authentic Chinese street style food! Pork bun is juicy and delicious. Be aware it might be a little salty to some.
Superb noodles, it is handcrafted and one of the best textures I find in Vancouver
follow this restaurant from Downtown to Metro~as good as always~
The boss actually shipped Qishan vinegar to Vancouver. It s very fragrant.
Very unique, delicious and plenty of quantity
Super delicious. Excellent service. The boss is attentive. Thumbs up
Very authentic western Chinese food. All noodles are handmade upon order. Can t wait to take my wife to try out this place again!
TerraCotta Boyz has every quality that makes a great restaurant. It is your go to if you are craving authentic Xian delicacy. With special attention paid to lighting, artwork, and comfort, it aims for good restaurant ambience and offers enjoyable dining experience.
so good, and noodles are handmade and chewy .
Food was delicious and the decor was amazing. Prices were very reasonable as well. Easy to park. Will definitely go back again.
Food is super good and the owner is super handsome!!!
I like the tomato eggs noodle. Handcrafted noodle tastes different (better) than machine crafted noodle My favorite is tomato and egg noodles. Hand-pulled noodles taste very different from those made by machines.
Since the old location closed (Sunny Spot Cafe) I have been in a food depression. Im SO HAPPY to eat this food again.
Well worth a try
Food are very authentic and traditional Xian Style. Easy parking
Decent Xian food in town!
This is definitely the most authentic Xi an cuisine in Vancouver!
so dope. Sunny Spot is back and they re noodles are better than ever!
If you dont try their noodles, youll never understand how good a noodle can be. Id eat here every day if I could.
My general feeling is that the dough tastes dry and spicy, and the mutton is a little too soaked in water. The steamed buns are not bad. Ah yes, Bingfeng...rare
Had the lamb noodle and the cumin beef bun. Beef bun was very flavourful with a good spicy kick. Noodles has good springiness, you can tell the are hand made. The soup base is a spicy sour base, really warms you up on a cold day. A point off for being cash only, with the renovation and the prices, it really shouldnt be cash only.
True original hand made noodle. Tasteful Western China regional dishes. A little bit pricey but worth it, a surprise discovery in this area. The place is kind of limited space though. Will visit again.
So delicious
Comparing this to other Xian cuisine restaurants, I must say it isnt bad. But definitely not as good as some others. The very traditional Xian style cold noodle with sesame and chili oil had light but good flavour.. however the noodles were really clumped/melted together... (Never seen this before in Vancoucer or China). The Spicy lamb hand pulled noodle soup was great and authentic! But almost no lamb??! Lao Xian gives you tons of meat and its the same price. The cumin spiced Lamb hanbao was really good and prepared well! I will try again some other time, hopefully I came in on a day that they werent doing so well.. Hoping next time is better.
