Everyone really loved the fresh tzatziki and warm pita bread, and all the ingredients were fresh and high-quality! The staff was professional, courteous, and quick to accommodate special requests, helping us host our event with one less thing to worry about. Very tasty food and wonderful service! The best Greek restaurant

I placed 3 separate orders (to feed 10 people) on UberEats because I had promo codes with a scheduled time of 5:15-5:45pm for delivery. All of my orders got cancelled and I received a voicemail asking me to call back so they could explain why. I called back and the person who picked up said she wasnt aware of the situation so she passed me onto someone else. The person who got on the phone sounded older with an accent. She was very aggressive and told me they dont accept scheduled orders for that time because they are too busy and that I could order right now, which was 3pm. I told her I would be ordering through UberEats and asked what time I can schedule the order then, like maybe even 4:30pm and she said no. Then she said I can only order RIGHT NOW or have 20 minutes to place the order. I said half under my breath thats ridiculous and she got even more aggressive and went off on me saying excuse me? excuse me? why are you saying thats ridiculous? to which I replied that I wanted to get the food closer to dinner time since Im feeding a group of people and didnt want the food to be cold. She kept repeating herself about being too busy and wont accept scheduled orders (then dont be on delivery apps!) so I tried getting off the phone because I wasnt trying to argue and didnt want her to spit in my food if I continued to place an order, but she tried to keep me ON the phone to continue yelling at me by saying no, let me explain so you understand. I was appalled that I literally just got yelled at by this woman and stressed that I would now have to find another restaurant last min to order from, but after about 5 mins I called back and asked for the womans name because I was so upset from the way she spoke to me. The person who I spoke to the second time did apologize, but she said she couldnt figure out who spoke to me the first time. After telling my friends about my experience, one of them said they know who Im talking about because she ordered catering from here for her work event and the person she had to deal with was very rude to her as well. It sounds like they dont like all the business theyre getting so lets help them out and give them less. I ended up ordering from Stephos Souvlaki Greek Taverna and they were CHEAPER, with MORE FOOD, with the same delivery fee, it was DELICIOUS, and I didnt have anyone yell at me! I think My Greek in Coquitlam is the best, but unfortunately, theyre not on UberEats. Argo, please check your staff who are so rude to customers because that was RIDICULOUS. *REPLY to the owner: The point of my negative review was not that your restaurant was too busy to accept my order, it was that the person I spoke to was VERY RUDE to me and, just like you, very unapologetic about the situation. Her tone of voice was like she was more upset than I was. Being aggressive like that towards your customers isnt right, and for you to say that I wasnt being understanding - I actually was understanding, but I didnt appreciate getting yelled at! Seems like its so difficult for you all to just be apologetic without being defensive.

Terrible customer service. Read their reviews/feedback responses and youll see exactly what I mean. We used to order here but they have just lost returning customers because of how argumentative they are and cancelling our orders because it was too busy. Specifically one person over the phone; she sounds a bit older with an accent. She literally yelled at us over the phone because we wanted to order through Uber instead of ordering through them directly. Never ordering from here again!!! Its also better and cheaper ordering from Stephos which is 1000 times better than this place. Update: like I said in my initial review. Read the reviews and see how they respond lol. Argumentative and never apologetic. Horrible customer service. And to answer the response - yes, I am really a former customer. It s similar to another review because we made separate orders together So guess what? You lost multiple returning customers and we ll be spreading the word about this so more and more people will not come to your terrible restaurant :)

We had Argos cater for a bridal shower and Chyrsti and her staff were so helpful and friendly. Food was delivered on time, warm and many compliments on tastiness of their food. Would highly recommend Argos if considering them for a function.

I am revising my review... I will include my original review below. After the response from the owner I did go back to get my money back. I was content with the Lamb Souvlaki and the Calamari, but what I was most displeased with was the pricing, quality, and portion size of the Spanakopita. They refunded my money for the Spanakopita without any issue. They emphasized that we will always refund customers if they are not satisfied, pretty tall order but I am satisfied with the recovery. I am probably not their best fit customer, but I will to give them 5 stars for excellent service and satisfaction. Given their ratings I can see why they have a lot of happy customers. This was my first time ordering from Argo. I came across an IG food recommendation and thought I would give it a try.... here is what I ordered: Lamb souvlaki (regular size) - the souvlaki was quite thin, the meat was maybe half and inch thick, it was like they put a thin lamb chop on a skew sliced it up called it souvlaki. The sides were good. Calamari appetizer - was decent, portion size was just okay for $17.50. I appreciate that they fried it when I got there, to preserve it staying crispy Spanakopita appetizer - this was my biggest gripe... for $13.00 I got 2 soggy squares of spanakopita that was about an inch thick and 3.5 inches around... like really?!? are you kidding me? What a joke. Needless to say... I probably wont be returning. There are much better Greek restaurants in terms of pricing, quality, and portion size in Burnaby.

I work in the area. Colleagues mentioned how good Argo was. So last night I decided to get try it & get takeout for dinner. They are smokin busy at dinner time! I didnt realize, despite it being a weekday. I was bummed that I had to leave work later than intended because of an emergency issue. It was gloomy, cold & rainy out. I was so looking forward to a hot, cozy meal with my husband in front of Netflix, lol. Argo was totally up front with my wait time. I initially chose the Platter for 2. Its lots of food, so itd take 45 mins. Too long for me. But, they were patient with me. They helped me pick out the quicker-to-cook dishes. They took my phone # down in case it was ready ahead of time. They called. I picked up my calamari & lasagna. We ate. Crispy uber garlicky bread, rich tangy tzaziki, al dente noodles, good amount of cheese (#cheesepull) & tasty meat sauce. It stayed hot, excellent portions, great cozy feels. It was a smidge too seasoned (salty). We dont eat a lot of salt, though. I will defo go back. But I will order ahead! Thanks, Argo staff

I liked their pizza a lot, to be honest . The main issue arose when I heard from my delivery guy that they always prioritize their calling customers over delivery app customers . I tested this by ordering the same meal in all the different time windows starting from 11 A.M. till near to their closing hours. Indeed, every single time, I had to wait over an hour for one meal no matter the order time . He also told me that the lady asked him to give her tips so that she could facilitate the order, which is embarrassing. Please remember to rate these kinds of behaviors so it wouldnt happen in the future . If all you care about is your calling customers, dont join the delivery apps then .

We ordered a huge platter with chicken, lamb and meatballs and they gave us a small container of tzatziki. It was $100 worth food from a Greek restaurant and they hand over a table spoon of tzatziki. This is after the we left them a note asking them to include enough sauce for the food. It s things like this makes customers not come back again. Being cheap is not worth it. UPDATE: This is how you respond to paying customers? By gaslighting? I left a clear note on my order stating that you are NOT giving enough sauce in proportion to the food and then you dont take proper steps to fix it. Why should I waste time calling you when you deliberately ignored the customer s note? This is how you lose loyal customers.

Ive eaten here twice. Highly recommended. Large portions of good quality, great tasting food. It is a take out/delivery kind of place. While they do have 3 tables along with chairs if you really cant wait to get home to eat, there are no public washrooms here. Must try. **UPDATE 6YRS LATER** CONSISTENTLY AMAZING FREAKIN FOOD.. Argos is our go-to greek restaurant, hands down!. Their food is absolutely delicious! I love the attention to detail when packing, keeping warm items and cold items in separate bags. Delivery might not always be the fastest, but its well worth the wait (it also often comes far sooner than the estimated time).

Went here to try their Greek cuisine. I was welcomed with some nice smiles and greetings from the staff. Plus, the food was amazing. I will definitely come back! Five stars for service and food quality!

I am compelled to write this review due to outstanding service by this restaurant. I was not happy with the food I received on delivery so contacted the restaurant on the contact email they provided. They answered me promptly and then provided me a FULL refund for the order INCLUDING the tip. I will absolutely try them again and encourage anyone else to support a local restaurant like this. 1st time at this Greek restaurant in Canada Way, Burnaby. Mainly for take out Greek meals/pizza. Store very clean, today with couple tables and a window counter. Staff very professional and friendly. Had ordered lunch chicken souvlaki: just as tender, as succulent as other good Greek places. Reasonable portions of Greek salad, tzatziki and a tasty potato with a chicken skewer on a bed of rice pilaf. Ample parking by mall area or street parking.

They accepted my Ubereats order just as I canceled it - within a SECOND of placing it, and I called to let them know but they won t help resolve this issue or give compensation. Suddenly lost my appetite.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time two weeks ago. We surprised our family with roasted lamb and calamari for my sisters birthday. I was so impressed by the food. Portion, quality and taste was top notch. We were raving about the food and recommended to several friends. We were so happy to hear they do catering. I come from a large family and thought this would be perfect. The following week, I was extremely disappointed to hear from my sister that the food she ordered was horribly salty. They ordered roasted lamb and lasagna. Everything was salty, even the rice. More then half of their dinner was tossed out. It was not a good way to end a stressful week from work. I will need to reconsider their catering service and future take out. I just dont know what happened.

Best greek restaurant in Burnaby without a doubt. The souvlakis, pizzas and ekmeks are amazing and always fresh. They also have affordable lunch menus till 3pm. This place is a gem!

We just placed a large order off their catering menu for our daughter s birthday and let me tell you, the food was a hit! And this is coming from a family full of food critics lol. My husband had picked up our order from Coquitlam and when he got back with the food, everything was fresh, hot and so delicious! Chrysi was also a doll to deal with. Have had the gyros from here about 50 times already. I cant say Ive ever had such consistent quality from a restaurant the flatbread is always soft tasting like it just came out of the oven and lightly grilled. The chicken is always so juicy and succulent the beef is always the same wonderfully tasty. Highest of praise for this place Update March 2024: I dont get up to Burnaby often anymore however went today for a classic chicken wrap. I am so impressed that in over 10 years the quality and flavour has not changed in the least. Much respect guys I cant wait till Im back in Burnaby next time

Enjoyed the food very much! Ordered takeout for a small dinner party. Food was as ordered, was warm and portions were correct. Pita bread was a bit overdone for my liking but not a big deal. This is not a cheap takeout place but the food is worth the price.

We ordered from Argo for our staff Christmas party this year and it was a hit! Even though we ordered last minute (only a couple of days before), the meal was delivered precisely on time, which took a huge amount of stress off me as the party organizer. It was delicious and we had leftovers for days!

Nothing greek about this place other then the name, Indians owners so nothing really taste authentic. Managed great but food is 3 out 10

I ordered catering for a Christmas party less than 24 hours in advance, and they pulled through The catering came with rice, mixed souvlaki skewers, potatoes, pita breads and Greek salad. Everyone was very happy with the taste and there was a ton of leftovers with their huge portion sizes! I highly recommend this place not only for their flexibility but their generosity and support that they offered. Finally got a chance to try this restaurant after hearing about it from others, passing by it everyday (it s in my neighborhood!), and seeing the awesome reviews about it online! This place is amazing! Delicious food, everything is seasoned to perfection, and prices are relatively affordable too (the potatoes were a little sour though- not sure if it s just because we just aren t too used to Greek food? We haven t had it in a while- but still amazing)! Ordered food for takeout tonight, it was ready in the timeframe that I asked for, staff were friendly and efficient. The pita bread was so, so soft, delicious, and still warm when we got it. Ordered the chicken and lamb soulavaki and the portions are huge!! Shared it between 4 of us :) Would definitely come here again! And I appreciate the owners for replying back to these reviews- am I able to get a complimentary dessert for my next meal too (like others I ve seen online here)? Would love to try it next time.

I ve had both the Greek platter style meals and pizza and I loved both! The vegetarian pizza is my go to, it s loaded with toppings and the prices are super reasonable. Probably one of the best takeout options in this area. I love that it s a take out place and the front of the house staff is so friendly. Seems like a nice family run place.

Ordered from Uber. Never tried here before, but so glad I did. Got the Greek platter for two cuz I was too tired to think. Absolutely delicious! Light fluffy rice, soft tasty potatoes, and the best part, the chicken and the lamb were actual cuts of meat, not the ground up, dry lumps at other places! Also, there was enough for at least 3 people. Will bring friends over for sure.

We ordered soulvaki take out for a corporate function. The food was incredible. Tzikki was so creamy and thick. Meat was perfectly cooked. Lemon potatoes so lemony. Mmmm everything delicious. This has become one of our favourite go to choices. All the dishes we ve ever had from Argo have been delicious.

In the past, I always felt that Greek food consisted of large pieces of meat or jerky. This time it was highly recommended by a friend. It was my first time to eat Greek food when I came to AGO. It was very amazing! First of all, I highly recommend its pizza. The thick crust is topped with rich cheese, olives, bacon, etc. It has a slightly sour and salty taste. It is very special and so delicious. My daughter and I both love it. Like it very much. In addition, its Souvlaki is also very good. Looking at the appearance, the problem of dry meat that I was originally worried about is not at all. The meat is very tender, and with the sauce it comes with, it has an extra layer of flavor. The rice included is also very delicious. My daughter rarely eats rice, so she couldnt help but eat a lot. The service attitude of the people is also very good. Overall, it is a very delicious and recommended restaurant (it mainly sells takeaways here). Worth recommending! ! !

Awesome! DELICIOUS! Kind and quick service. Generous portion sizes. I got the roast lamb dinner and the lamb was fall apart tender, with no extra large bones, tendins or excessive fat - I was genuinely, happily surprised that the big portion was 90% meat. The rice had veggies and lots of flavour. Potatoes, salad, pita and tzatziki (2!) were also well done. Spanakopita was also delicious. I always try to stop eating halfway and save the other half for lunch the next day but this time I didnt have to force the stop - I was full by half and have a great meal to look forward to tomorrow (I am a big eater, too) 10/10 Will definitely go back

Very good food .

We have long loved Argos food. We recently had them cater our large party and it was a great experience from start to finish. Chrysi was awesome and helped me choose the perfect combination of dishes. I was unsure of how much food I d need and Chrysi helped me to avoid ordering more than I d need. She was so right. I had lots of food, variety and still had leftovers (which I wanted! :)). Food itself was amazing as always. Our guests enjoyed chicken and prawn souvlaki (and all the wonderful sides that go with that), spanakopita, and the pasta/lasagna. By the way, I have to mention, while we didn t order it for our party, their pizza is also amazing. I would highly recommend Argos to anyone who loves Greek food/pizza.

Delicious option near Burnaby Hospital. Small dining space and no washrooms or proper dine-in service currently but they were very nice and provided paper plates for us to eat there. Leftovers were tasty, too. Highlights were beef meatballs and Moussaka.

We had 60 people, there was plenty of food, and people were raving about how great it was. The shrimp souvlaki was amazing! we cannot wait to use them again! Discovered this place during covid. Ordered on uber. Finally stopped in person to pick up some food. One of my favourite greek food place. No dine in! Take out only. But there is a table and chairs for you to sit down and if you want to. Ordered lamb chop medium rare and ekmek dessert. Lamb chop was cooked perfectly! Juicy! And ekmek was delicious not too sweet!

Ordered takeout souvlaki for a group of 14 people. There was more than enough delicious food that our whole group loved, and at a reasonable price for the quality and amount. Food was on time and staff were friendly, even giving us a complimentary dessert taster. They helped get the food to the car as well. Would highly recommend!

The portions are VERY generous and we received SO MANY compliments on the food. Particularly the potatoes were a hit! Thank you to the Argo team for helping our special day to be so perfect. I was looking for catering company for my husband s surprise party and came across Argo Greek on website. All the positive reviews are true. I met with the owner and loved her philosophy right away. It really matters to her that her food tastes good and that people enjoy it. The food was delivered on time by courteous and professional team. Food was delicious, full of flavour and there was plenty of it. I ordered the souvlaki combo from their catering menu. All of my guests enjoyed the food and everyone was asking where I got it from. I recommended the restaurant to my guests and would not hesitate to order from Argo Greek restaurant again. Well done Argo Greek!

Decent food, but for the price it should be better. Lamb shoulder was all fat. Their owner is ripping a LOT of people off with the ridiculous delivery cost as well. Would not recommend. Lots of better places in the area

Exceedingly average. A sign greets you at the cash that says no bathrooms, no water, no table service . Food was average and overpriced (chicken souvlaki with a coke for $28!). Not a very hospitable or worthwhile experience.

I ve been ordering the roast lamb from here for a couple years now and it s amazing every time! The lamb is always perfectly cooked. So juicy and tender! The portions are really good and an amazing deal! It comes with a Greek salad, tzatziki, and toasted pita bread too! Everything is always well packed.

The food was great. There is only 1 table for dining so do take out. Order ahead as they get jammed with take out order at lunchtime.

We usually order from Argo once every few months and I normally get the calamari dinner. I ordered just the appetizer calamari yesterday and am not impressed :( it seemed super stale, as if it was sitting out for a while or reheated. It wasn t hot, it was dried out (you can tell by the picture), and the squid was very hard/chewy (not a good chewy). When you bite into the calamari, it kind of looked like a dried out onion ring. The squid was very thin and basically non-existent in each piece. Pizza was great though.

Great place to go for a quick Greek restaurant. Food was decent. Prices were reasonable. You atmosphere was kind of cheap. Nowhere to sit. Cant use the bathroom to wash your hands. That was a real drawback for me. I think all restaurants should allow public usage because of that reason I wont be back

I used Argos as caterers for my 40th Birthday this past July Chrysi is amazing to work with the food and portions are generous snd every single one of my 50 guests at my party inquired about the amazing food. I highly recommend and would definitely use Argos again!

Our office (not the same office as the other person who recently posted) ordered catering for around 12 people and the food was really good. Everyone loved it. The olives in the Greek salad could have been better because they were not very flavorful, also I prefer chunks of feta vs the grated that they used but thats basically my only critique. The rice, Greek spuds, chicken and beef souvlaki, tzatziki.... all delicious! 4 stars because I checked their menu online and the prices seem a bit high to me. Their lunch menu specifically says its smaller portions than dinner (as expected) but then its still $20 for a lunch plate. Adding tax and tip I think thats just too much for a quick lunch. I might go check it out for dinner and try some other dishes though!

Perhaps it was an off day based on the several good reviews, but my delivery order was disappointing. The garlic bread that came with the bland tortellini tasted like freezer burn so threw it out after one bite. The pita was very dry and tasteless, the spanakopita was OK but a bit mushy and not as crispy as I d like it, the roasted potatoes were just OK and again, a bit bland. The baclava was a nice portion but again, couldn t finish it because it was just meh. 2 stars for good portion size. Would not order again.

First time Argo. I got take-out. The portions were generous and the food was very tasty. I ordered the platter (enough to feed at least 4 people even though it seems to be for 3 people), roast lamb, baklava, and ekmeh. I thought the roast lamb, spanakopita and ekmeh were standouts. The roast lamb was succulent and didnt have any gamey flavour. The spanakopita was extremely flakey and had a nice filling to dough ratio. It was still great the next day after I toasted it. I tried ekmeh for the first time and it certainly wont be my last! It had a spongey cake base soaked with syrup, a jiggly custard layer, topped with a whipped cream. If you prefer your desserts to not be too sweet, this would be the dessert for you.

We used Argo for a dinner event for 50 people. Leading up to the event, they were wonderful to work and schedule with. The dinner itself was on time and absolutely delicious! Everyone loved the food too! 5 stars all around!

I ordered a chicken dinner , lamb dinner , medium pizza and prawns to my office in Burnaby and drove the food to my home in Langley , even with the long distance drive the food kept its delicious flavour and quality . It was by far the best Greek food I ever had , in todays economy were everything is so expensive and portions are super small , this place definitely does not cheap out , portions are huge ! . From the moment my order was picked up over the phone to the driver that dropped it off ,the staff were very friendly and professional . I will be recommending this little gem to everyone ! I ve been ordering here for maybe the past two years and I absolutely LOVE it - I haven t been to a different Greek place since! Just checked and I ve ordered five times in the past 5.5 weeks My go to is always the Roast Lamb - portions are huge, I love the salad, the potatoes, the rice, and of course the lamb!!! I always like to order extra tzatziki- so good. Also the Ekmek is soooo good. If I could get it half sweet it would be my perfect dessert Thank you so much for the delicious food every single time!!!! Argo Greek Cuisine Pizza is my favorite place to acquire lasagna! I have not been satisfied with the lasagna I have tried in the lower mainland of Vancouver. My favorite place before I discovered Argo Greek Cuisine Pizza was Cascade Pizza in Bellingham, Washington. However, since I have found Argo Greek Cuisine Pizza, I have been thrilled with their delicious lasagna every time I have the opportunity to visit.

We had Argos restaurant cater our work party last week and I cant rave enough on how fantastic the meal was. Everyone at the party wanted to know where I had it catered from. I dealt with Chrysi who was so professional. I had never ordered for so many before and she made it so easy!!! All the food was so reasonably priced and professionally packaged and labelled. The portions were so generous. The potatoes were absolutely delicious as well as all the rest of the food!!! We are using them again for our Christmas party!!! Dont hesitate to order from them whether catering or just for lunch or dinner!!!!

Ordered catering for a small wedding party. The food was so delicious, and the value for your dollar was so impressive. Everyone was complimenting the food and asking where I got it from. They are very attentive and followed up with me after the first time I inquired about catering. And then they were able to accommodate a last minute order! The delivery service was right on time and the ladies were super friendly and helpful.

This Greek restaurant is honestly hands down my favourite. I moved from Delta to Burnaby not long ago and thought I d try out a new place (the other one is hard to beat). However, this place is amazing and surpasses my usual go to place. The food is so fresh, huge portions and amazing taste. Even when we order through delivery, the food comes hot. The calamari doesn t come soggy through delivery which is amazing. Keep up the great work!

We love getting take out food here. Food is always hot and fresh. Be aware that they will only cook the calamari once youre picking up so it doesnt get soggy. We dont mind the wait at all. Overall, good value for the amount of food you get. Parking: Easy to find parking

Very happy with their service. My son recently celebrated his first birthday this month. My hubby and I decided to serve greek for the party. We were glad we did. They were very accommodating and gave good advise to ensure food is served fresh. We ordered enough for 100 guest and we were surprised with the amount of food they gave. We ordered food for 25 people for a birthday party. Everything was really prompt and organized. Food was absolutely delicious. Could not say enough good things about the potatoes. We had plenty leftover to send home with guests, which they appreciated because everyone wanted more!

If you want piping hot, large portion Greek take out this is the place. They will not cook your calamari until you show up, to make sure it is not all soggy. Staff is nice and friendly.

Its always good to have a basis for comparison with these restaurants and to be honest, I really like Greek style lasagna and pizza as much as i like Italian style, and I especially like the fact that theres still some family owned restaurants out there. I live in East Van by the PNE so Im spoiled with my familiar restaurants around me and that includes Greek, Italian, Middle east, Asian, etc..... Anyways, Ive been to Agro once before and then had takeout at a friends house and it was great both times. The one issue that prevents me from ordering or going back is the price as it really is high when compared to others that are as good / better ( one specifically on Nanaimo near Broadway). Someone posted here on the price of a pizza plus the delivery charge , etc and I dont mind paying for quality, but I just dont like the feeling that Im overpaying by a substantial amount. So thats my only beef with the place and i wish them well..... they make good food.

Taste: 8/10 Pizza: my husband only orders their #11 pizza. He is in love. Nice deep dish pizza with lots of toppings. Excellent Greek pizza. Fried zucchini: nice and crispy skin, well flavored. Another one of our favorites

We really enjoyed the food, have ordered many times from here. First time we tried the tray for 2, was great, good variety. Added calamari, lamb roast, and various skewers for our gathering. I usually go to Ramie s because it s close to my home, but I was told to try this place out. Picked up my order here, it was quick. Only thing was, they forgot the pita bread. They made things right by delivering the bread and included a dessert. I was very frustrated, maybe I was hangry. The food was AMAZING! I thought I wouldn t return, but I am definitely going back.

Our total is about 80CAD, but the amount is probably enough for 4~5 person/meal. But tbh, the quality of the food isnt that great. the roast lamb and lasagna tasted alright, the potatoe wedges/slices are especially well done, but the Kalamari is dry and husky, and the deep fried zucchini is clearly a touch over, tasted a little burnt even. bottom line, there is a Wendys near the intersection and based on the quality of food Id rather get Wendys than this again.

Easily the best Greek food in Vancouver, and some of the best I ve had anywhere. The lamb is succulent, the rice is seasoned and delicious, the potatoes are tangy and zesty, the souvlaki are absolutely divine! I m not a fan of moussaka in general, but my partner raves about it. Spanakopita also received high praise. The Greek salad could benefit from a better balance of olives, and the tzatziki could do with more garlic. But honestly, those are such minor suggestions. Tried this place on a whim and so glad we did! This is our new Greek spot for sure!
