Cooking up the food we grew up eating, fresh home-style Greek eats! A staple in Heights for almost 30 years! Come In - Lets Eat Greek!
Went Saturday as part of a larg group. We had excellent service, and everyone was pleased with the food. I enjoyed a delicious mousaka. The Greek soda is fantastic for non alcoholic options (designated driver). Will cme again for sure.
Tried this place for the first time today and I’m so glad I did! Seriously some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had. The chicken gyro was delicious, the chicken was so moist and tender and flavourful. Tzaziki was really good too, as were the greek salad and the pita. Will definitely be a returning customer.
Arni Psito was solid. Served without a bone so easier to eat, but then didn’t get the satisfaction of watching “fall off” the bone - although it had great consistency. Missed the little bit of crust/char on the top though from before. Keftedes appy was good for happy hour. The chicken souvlaki was also decent. Also this is probably the best Ekmek in town now. Service was a little on the slow side. Possibly new server that didn’t have as much experience. Friendly but didn’t refill water unless asked.
A small family restaurant, the order was carried for a long time. Portions are small. But squid is the most delicious I have ever eaten.
We’ve been coming here for more than 15 years … have never found a better plate of calamari, anywhere! The plate in the photo is already half-eaten, couldn’t wait! 😆. Rest of the menu is fantastic, lamb shoulder falls off your fork, filo pastry on my Spanikopeta always light and flaky. BEST OF ALL is the family who runs this delightful spot - the sisters are amazing and imbue their warm character on all their staff. I can’t recommend Sfynaki enough - just go!! ☺️Linda & Mike Gross
The atmosphere is very pleasant. Close to bus stop. The waiters knew her allergies really well. They have lots of GF options. We just wanted a snack so did not order much mine was a Gyro with out the pita. The lamb could be a little bit more moist, but still good.
We came here on Mother's Day without a reservation and were lucky to have a table open up within 5 minutes. I found the service to be a little slow, our server didn't come by our table much to check in. The food was great overall. The chicken souvlaki was a little lack luster and flavourless. It didn't taste marinated to me at least. The butter backed shrimp was amazing and I highly recommend. The Greek salad was nice as was the dessert. I would come back here again in the future.
Came here for a party a few years ago and been meaning to come back. It’s a bit far for me but overall it’s a nice restaurant. Family owned restaurant. Great service. Good food. The prices are decent. It can take some time to get your food but the ambience is nice. No AC but they have lots of fans. Street parking, easy to find spots.
Wonderful dinner experience, best lamb souvlaki Ive ever had. Plus the service is exceptionally good and authentic, not over the top tip-nice. Shout out to Mikaela and Suzette (My Captain, My Captain). Cheers
We had our work christmas party there and people are so nice welcoming plus awesome hospitality .
Went for dinner with family. Moussaka and Gyros were fantastic. The desserts are even better. Highly recommended.
I was served by an intimidating woman, with strange-looking attire, and an unrecognizable accent. She called herself Suzette; the staff call her Moira!
Just fine. Nothing special. A little overpriced for the food quality.
Amazing service and great food! Wasnt that busy when we went. Love the calamari and also chicken soulvaki!
Quality is normal, tastes ok to normal but doesnt match with price.
One of the best places to eat in Burnaby! Amazing service. Fresh, delicious food. I booked a large group dinner here and everyone had an amazing time!!
Cozy and well furnished place with appreciable music in the background. The waitress was very professional and kind when welcoming me, thus creating a feeling of being in a familiar environment for the entire duration of the dinner. Also very good at suggesting what is in my tastes. Very good and well prepared dishes. The local beer is also excellent. I will gladly come back if I have the opportunity to pass through Vancouver .
We enjoyed the food and the service. The lamb was pretty good and overall the price was very reasonable.
Honesty, i didnt expect much, but wow, that was a good meal. The lamb souvlaki was cooked perfect--med rare, like it should be. Potatoes--delish. Arni, was so tender and tasty. Good service by a very pleasant Australian!!! Very nice evening, thank you. Well be back.
Went on a busy Saturday evening and we got our seats quite fast with no reservation. Bea was our friendly server. Had the Kalamari and garlic prawns for appetizer, both delicious. I had the lamb shoulder which was so juicy, flavorful and tender. My friend had the moussaka dinner which was delicious but my friend thought it was on the small side. . Both came with pita bread. I had an orange pop and my friend had two ouzo shots which was a deal over the single shot. Great atmosphere. They ll be moving over next door at the end of the August I think. And I ll be back to try the other dishes.
We went to Sfinaki for lunch, delighted that we found a cozy Greek place to eat. We all love Greek food. The hospitality was nice but that is were the experience ended. We ordered lamb chops and three yeero platters and received small portions, very skimpy with meat burried in fillers of fries and onions and hidden in a thick pita. Paying over $100 for three people, we left unsatisfied and feeling like we were victims of a well-crafted rip off unlike any Greek restaurant we ve ever visited. If you re hungry and looking to have a traditional, protein-rich generous, Greek meal, best to take your business elsewhere. * Note the owner s embarrassing response ignoring the issue of skimpy meat for an overpriced meal. An issue that is consistent in the restaurant s negative reviews, which I wish I looked at before. Also note how the positive reviews are very general and the negative ones are consistent around this specific topic.
Very quick to service the ordered food , and yummy food
Travel from South Surrey to eat here, food is amazing, family owned, they care about their customers.
The place was quite warm inside, with only fans for cooling I ordered the Chicken Gyro, while my mom had the original Gyro. Unfortunately, both dishes lacked seasoning and flavor. However, the fries were good, and the portions were decent.
For Greek fare you cant go wrong here. Family run old school authentic food. Never had a bad meal here. A must if you want some of the best around.
Incredible
Awesome food and atmosphere. Great service. Cold beer
I liked the food. Hot atmosphere due to no AC. Came as a group of 11 people. I was visiting from out of town. A person in our dinning party complained. They did offer solutions for the one complaining so professional in that matter. What I did not appreciate was as I got to to leave when we were all done. The owner decided to come over to me and laid into me about the person who complained because they complained last time also. Well what does that have to do with me...... Im just an innocent person on holiday visiting. So I did not appreciate her lecturing me and dumping on my head.
Went with our family of 14. Food was excellent and service was fantastic. They even let us bring our own Birthday cake. Thanks Sfinaki Food : 5/5
Iv been coming here for years. The food and team are so amazing. The lamb roast and the potatoes to die for. I also had calamari, the fried one. Wow , already looking forward to my next visit. Keep up the great job.
The service was slow but Trust me the food worthy I will definitely come back
Went here tonight for my brothers birthday dinner and although they were busy, the service and food were fantastic
I had a great time eating here. We ordered the chicken souvlaki with the appetizer spankopita and calamari. Everything was refreshing to eat and came out well plated. Extra props to our lovely waitress Makayla who went above and beyond making sure we were taken care of.
Not nearly as good as Socrates down the street!!!
The food was really good and Anika was really nice!
*Delicious Greek food!* I recently had dinner at Sfinaki and it was fantastic! The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was authentic and delicious. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with traditional Greek music playing in the background. *Overall*, I would highly recommend Sfinaki to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Greek dining experience!
Great place to be, amazing food and very Greek.. Loved it. staff were very helpful. Will definitely return... Food
First time and both my friend and I couldnt understand such positive reviews. Maybe we went on a bad day when their main cook is sick at home and that they are usually fantastic?? Food was below average while the price was rather steep for both quality and portion. Only thing we liked was spanakopita. Sorry.
I have been to Greece many times, but it has been over 35 years, I ate there tonight with family and friends and for me it felt like I was in Greece again, really good food!! This is coming from an Italian!! Great service and food, cant wait to go back!! Food
Amazing spot for friends and family. Its a beautiful spot that always makes me feel welcome. Definitely earns its spot on the strip. Food : 5/5
I love this place!!!
The senior staff is ruse who have no idea how to talk and respond to customers.
Had the most incredible meal on Fathers Day with our Family here. The staff is incredible, amazing and and like family!
W restaurant
The chicken gyro was the best ive ever had. This really conpares to the real food in greece perfectly. Identical taste! Service was also exceptional, everyone was very friendly
server was super nice, and the food was so good! will definitely be returning!
Food and service was great
Had the roast lamb, very nice flavor. Presentation could have been better if they served it with the salad at the same time, more color, more appealing and added some tzatziki on the side. Spanokopita was also very good, everyone was friendly, and the food was fresh.
One of the best Greek food places. The chicken is sooo good omg just melts in your mouth!! I love everything on their menu, a must try!!!!
I went here for dinner and ordered the dip trio appetizer, chicken souvlaki and chicken gyro wrap as our mains. My partner and I both found the chicken to be disappointing; it was bland and didn t have that grilled souvlaki flavor we were looking for. The food was slow to come out, especially on a Tuesday night and the price is pretty steep for the portion size. The fries and pita were good but I likely won t be back
Chicken souvlaki , prawn scallop souvlaki , fried and grilled calamari , french fries (just because), & a side of potatoes = delicious food. I m addicted to their rice and potatoes
Delicious Greek food at a very reasonable price.
Delicious, authentic, always great. Like home made. Love this place!
This is my familys go to spot for get togethers and the food and service is always excellent. Weve never had a bad dish and the servers are always so warm and friendly. I wish you were open Sundays but I understand small businesses need a work life balance too!
Vegetarian options: Very limited vegan options rice and potatoes are cooked in chicken stock.
The food is great and the atmosphere is amazing. The owner of the restaurant personally attends to each table and takes care of everyone and everyone working there is great with a big smile. You feel like you are in Greece. Parking: The parking spaces are behind the restaurant in the back alley.
Butter shrimp is good
Absolutely delicious. Wow. Cannot wait to come back. Our server was a delight as well.
We had not been there since prior to Covid. Lo
Best Greek restaurant in Burnaby.
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent
Food good and portions appropriate. Lunch size lamb slovaki a hit. Server very helpful and attentive. The place could use a refresh including new chairs.
Ohhhhh man is the food here ever delicious! The Greek salad is the best Ive ever had and the chicken souvlaki is so tender. I will eat here every time Im in the mood for Greek food!
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Burnaby. Great food, nice atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly.
Roast lamb is amazing
Lamb is always good, friendly, attentive service.
I ordered from this restaurant for the first time because I saw that the prices are reasonable, and the reviews are good. I wasnt disappointed. The roast lamb I ordered was absolutely tender and flavourful. The calamari was fresh and crispy, the moussaka was delicious. I will definitely order from them again. Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: The spanakopita is delicious!
Best saganaki in Burnaby. Lovely staff. Not sure why this place isnt more busy.. very family friendly. Always cook their skewers to perfection. Yum!
super delicious food, amazing service, cozy atmosphere, the only place even my almost 3-year-old finished all his plate (a regular adult size serving!) since we ve come from Turkey to Canada last year. we ll definitely be coming again and recommend everyone.
Had dinner there a couple of weeks ago with my grandson. Great place to have Greek food and ambiance was good too I recommend this place to anyone who likes Greek food
Portion sizes have been sooooo very reduced
Food was good this time, busy little place Family run business with family members always prese t Food
Such delicious Greek cuisine. Highly recommend the lamb shoulder.
Cute Greek restaurant. Good food and atmosphere
Bia and the crew at Sfinaki went above and beyond to cater my moms birthday. Hands down some of the best Greek food Ive ever had. The food was expertly packed, so the foods that needed to stay crispy werent soggy or damp. We ordered a wide range of dishes from moussaka and roast lamb to spanakopita and calamari to baklava and bougatsa. Everything was delicious. But I cant say enough about the service and how well we were treated. Thank you, Bia! And thank you, Sfinaki kitchen staff!
Food is tasty except for the rice it is kinda plain. The portions are very small for the price and they dont even give the white sauce for free with a meal, it must be bought on the side. The lemon slice we got was the width and size of a quarter, thats way to small. Very expensive in general. Wait staff was pretty good though.
Its old style decor which is ok but its always super warm inside. Comfort food : ) Parking: Free Parking lot at end of the block if back parking is full.
Best fries ever!
I had the Lamb Shoulder meal and it was delicious. There was no fat on the meat and it was tender and flavourful. Some other Greek restaurants Ive ordered lamb shoulder from havent taken the time to cut the fat off the meat, but Sfinaki did a great job of doing it. I also had the calamari and it was good too. I like this Greek restaurant and I will be coming back.
AWESOME greek food the lamb had more flavor and seasoning on it than other greek places Ive tried it was really out of this world. And not TOO MUCH food either it was the perfect amount if youre very hungry with none to waste. Also gigantic shout out to this place for not raising the prices with everyone else these days. The food was very reasonably priced in my opinion!
One of the most underrated restaurants in the Burnaby Heights area. I would go as far to say it is one of the best Greek restaurants I have been to and deserves a 5* rating! The atmosphere is lovely with classic Greek decor, their service is great and food is delectable. Portion sizes are reasonable and food is very flavorful. Must mention that their Greek pita is out of the world, Greek salad, potatoes and rice are so tasty. I would highly recommend the saganaki as an appetizer; souvlaki is very juicy and cooked well; spanakopita is super flaky and delicious. Their baklava and eckmek desserts are to die for. Look forward to going again as a regular patron.
Absolutely love the food! It s family run and one of the only Greek food places I like in metro Vancouver! Also they make ekmek which is an absolute must
Great Service , pickup order was ready on time. Food was delicious!! Great portions!!
Love their Greek fries and souvlaki platters! Always delicious.
We came many times with my girlfriend and the food and service were absolutely amazing! The fries are surprisingly excellent, the best that we had since we moved from Belgium! Overall great experience, we will come back soon!
Great service, incredibly good cuisine, authenticity Greek. I highly recommend having dinner for two or a family gathering at this restaurant. You will be impressed.
There is absolutely nothing worse than standing in a restaurant waiting for a table and no one acknowledges you, especially when the owner walks by and doesn t even look up, makes you feel very unwelcomed. Finally after being seated, the owner still ignored us and went straight to another table that were seated after us and took their order. At this point I thought we were transparent! I kept saying to my friend, we should leave. Finally a lovely waitress came over to serve us and was very apologetic. It s the only reason we stayed. In The food was mediocre. Service was great! Sorry can t remember the servers name. The owner needs to learn more about customer service! I don t care how busy you are .. I ll be right with you takes less than a second! It s what I teach my staff every day!
The best beef souvlaki we found, with extremely tasty meat and delicious rice and potato. Always with an amazing service, not that fast, though, but attentive. We love it. Food
A bit pricey but meet the highest expectations
We are from Toronto where there is a large Greek presence on the Danforth. I grew up basically living on the Danforth. This was a lot different from what we get at the Greek restaurants in Toronto. On the plus side, my daughter loved the rice and potatoes.
small portions and very rude owners will not return
Bring on more authentic Greek food!
Excellent food and affordable prices and quick and efficient service. Beautiful atmosphere and decor. Very welcoming and remember to make reservations, but walk-ins are more than welcome. We love this restaurant. Vegetarian options: Salads and sandwiches and desserts and fries and potatoes Dietary restrictions: They have options for some dietary restrictions, just ask the serving staff before ordering. Parking: Parking on the street or in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Space for children and high chairs for younger children, and booster seats. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is on the main level and theres a ramp if you need one.
Sfinaki Greek Taverna is an amazing place to eat great food! To me it is the vert best... the service is totally awesome and Lily (My &1 Waitress) is amazing!!! 10/10 ;)
I enjoyed my meal and service
Speechless One of my top 3 Favorite Maybe the top Of the top Greek Restaurant 10 stars. Not 5 Parking: Side streets Kid-friendliness: Aroma Atmosphere Greek music The warm welcome
I liked the food. Delicious and good portion. The service was descent.
I had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. The appetizers were spot on and the Lamb was perfect. I have never had lamb like this. Not even in Greece.
Its a great family owned restaurant. Its authentic, good value, and amazing taste. The service is A1 and so is the food.
Best Greek food iv ever had
Delicious food, great service! I always prefer dine-in here as the tables by the window are the perfect spot for a date!
Mediocre in my opinion. Pricey for the portion size compared to some other Greek restaurants. The food was pretty good but Ive had better.
Calamari was amazing, along with our chicken souvlaki.
Happy hour gyro is really lacking in meat for $9 (literally 2 thin pieces of gyro meat) Add in tax and tip, its a $12 meal easy... More onions then meat really... Got with side order of Fries which were really good, server was nice, but yea ill probably stick to the usual donair spots for a quick bite next time... i actualy had to grab a burger afterwards elsewhere...
Wonderful, traditional Greek fare at a long-time Burnaby institution -- although it was my first visit.
Best Greek in Burnaby... Period
Fresh and tasty Greek food in the heart of the heights. Attentive service and authentic food. Grilled lamp shanks and a bottle of pinot griggio. Yes please! Update: Still Amazing!! The best in Burnaby.
their soup is to die for
This place was fantastic! Exactly what I was hoping for. I would definitely recommend a visit.
The food was fine. The service was fine. When we were paying the bill the waitress brought up politics and was visibly upset when we disagreed with her. She said she didnt mind disagreeing but she was upset. I really dont like talking about politics. The experience was nice except for that.
This was some of the best greek food I have ever had! I strongly suggest ordering the saganaki, it was cooked to perfection and came with unlimited pita bread. The beef souvlaki was excellent, I already am planning my next visit. Highly recommend this place!
Ate here long time ago. It was quite good didnt take a picture though.
If you want genuine authentic Greek food then this is the spot you need to hit up!!. This place takes me back to my teenage and early twenties when I used to work at a Greek restaurant (Bouzyos Taverna). As someone who dunked calamari for a living for eleven years, I know what great calamari is supposed to taste like..TRUST ME!. The delicious flavors here are exactly what youd expect from a Greek restaurant. The calamari here is absolutely one of the best in the city!!. Its perfectly cooked with crispy flour, delicious garlicy marinade and the squid is tastes fresh and yummy!!. The tzsaziki is as should be, fresh and garlicy! The service here is wonderful and the sisters that work here are soo lovely. This family owned Greek restaurant is a place you do not want to miss!!.
Super tasty food, lovely waitress, massive portion. Highly recommend!
Cheese pancakes are top notch, keeping moisture on the inside and crispy on the outside. The real bread is the best, and it goes perfectly with the cheese! Yummy
Really good
Family run local treat for Greek food
I ordered lamb and chicken souvlaki take out and was very clear to the young woman that the I did not want dry, overcooked meat. I got home and my wife was thrilled with the quality of her order. She said it was the most tender chicken and lamb souvlaki she had ever had. My lamb shoulder was also excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our meal. You bet we will be returning customers.
Delicious food and excellent service. Very friendly staff
Love the food of this restaurant but really wish they changed their hours to being open later. So many times I go to order some takeout and realize they re already closed at 8 o clock it s just seems so early to be close at eight at least make it 10 o clock or something EDIT: that makes a lot of sense and appreciate the hour change! Really shows that you care about your customers. Definitely changes my rating :)
Food was delicious. I enjoyed my happy hour roast lamb platter. One thing I noticed, Happy hour items are lower price with smaller portion. really slow service... we werent in a rush so it wasnt a big deal, but we felt a bit ignored because it was pretty slow.
Good food and friendly staff. Vegetarian options: Limited but available Parking: Free City parking nearby Kid-friendliness: Kids are fine
We came in for evening gathering + dinner with life long good friends. First time for me. Alma took care of us. She is a GEM! I would like to her be recognized for her hustle, while working in this heat. Her energy is contagious :)
Did a wonderful job of accommodating a large group on short notice. Food is great.
Fabulous food and wonderful service!
Food was packed well and travelled well. Mosaka was ok, but top not as light as I expect, and roasted potatoes seem just boiled and coated .. good but missing something... Wish it came with Uzo, a belly dancer and a bunch of plates to toss you know, the full Greek experience!
The best authentic Greek Food in the city. Been there few times and I always enjoy their oven baked potatoes. One of the few places in the city you can find greek beer.. I highly recommend this really friendly and cozy place, staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed
Food was great. Wish they had air conditioning, the fans were just not cutting it tonight. However I would definitely go back.
Food was nice, staff were very helpful, the dining room was a bit too warm on a hot summers evening but an enjoyable experience none the less!
The service was not nice, the food was cold was not impressed will not go there again
I had lamb shoulder. The first thing that surprised me was receiving some cuts of meats with no bones or fat. So I am not sure if it was even a lamb shoulder. Even if it was lamb shoulder, I dont think all pieces waa taken from one shoulder. This is the first time I have been served a lamb dish like that in a Greek restaurant. It was too salty. The portion was 15-20% smaller than other Greek restaurants that I have tried. They dont serve tzatziki with all dishes and you need to buy it separately which is very uncommon in Greek restaurants. Overall, I was just OK. I am not sure about other dishes in the menu. Perhaps they must be better since the restaurant is a high rated. Update: Would give 0 if it was possible because of response that I received from the owner. Dear owner, I wasnt looking for bones that you are offering me lamb chops! It is a different piece of meat. Dont make your customers confuse. I was looking forward to taste your lamb shoulder when I visited your restaurant. Roasting and serving shoulder, neck, leg and shank in a whole without meats falling apart requires some techniques. Just search on YouTube! Sadly, you dont seem to be sorry for serving salty food to your customer. I told your staff the food is not OK and they didnt even ask for the reason! They were so busy that we had to wave our hands for them to get their attention to order food! Not sure I want to visit your restaurant again. I am not a fan of lamb chops!
We actually meant to go to another place but wound up here. Glad we had the chance to try it. Everything was super fresh tasting. My wife LOVES Greek potatoes and she says the ones here were one of, if not the best (I agree they were very good). The souvlaki was so moist...it always seems dried out at most places. Kalamari was very light and crispy...not greasy at all. Would go back if were in the neighborhood again.
Food was good but the service was amazing
It was Saturday night, so of course it was busy. We ordered drinks, food and appetizers. It took an hour and a half to get our dinner. When we asked if our food would be arriving soon, they said it s Saturday night, it s busy with some attitude. We had to track down a server for another drink. No one checked on us at all. We had to flag them down if we wanted something. I know that sometimes places can be short staffed, but if there was any sort of pleasant communication it would have made things a bit better. They were not apologetic for the wait times at all and did not communicate well. The food was decent but I won t be going back again based on the service.
Delicious! I love their lamb shoulder.
Very tender lamb dish with a cozy atmosphere and quick service.
Food was okay, I liked it, I ordered Greek beers , I couldn t find any different taste between this and lager beer so I liked it in total, the only thing is about price it was really high
Its a cozy friendly atmosphere with tasty Greek food
Authentic Greek Cuisine. There was adequate space and seating for our party of ten. Wheelchair accessibility: This place is not wheelchair accessible due to multiple steps inside the seating areas and tiny washrooms.
Calamari and their pita dip appetizer was really good and the beef Slovakia was very tasty but the gyros were just okay.
Food was not bad, a bit pricier than a few places that I enjoy going. My all time fav is grilled squid, but they did not have it last time I went. Alas, we went to the place again, they have the grilled squid for appetizer...and am asked them to make it a meal instead. Mistake. It was just like 10 little squids and I ordered a dinner meal. My wife ordered a lunch Karamali lunch and it was more than mine
Happy hour is well worth it for eats and wine
love the food and the service. our family favorite
Always enjoy the food here. Its my go to place for greek
We love the spanikopita platters. A real treat!
Best Greek food in lower mainland.
Traditional Greek food. Delicious! Very friendly, nice atmosphere. Food is freshly prepared. Service was prompt. If youre looking for Greek food this place will not disappoint. Tzatziki was amazing, just like in Greece. Highly recommend.
Good food...
Was recommended but lunch menu feels a bit like a fast food joint. Staff was very friendly and still great to support local.
The best Greek food and staff in the heights
Not recommended if you have any allergies or gluten issues, otherwise this is a basic, run of the mill Greek restaurant. Nothing amazing, but nice enough decor and fine if you dont have any dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, I do. I visited in late summer with my family to support a local restaurant with a patio during covid, and the staff had almost no idea what was in their food. When I told the first server I was gluten intolerant and asked if a certain dish had gluten in it she told me she didnt want to bother the kitchen... there was only 1 other table of 2 people there... Then she told me I could have the fries without the feta cheese. When I asked what was wrong with the cheese, she said she didnt know, but she thought I couldnt eat it... Obviously not feeling comfortable with her recommendations, I asked if there was anyone else who might be able to help. Finally another server came out and told me that although the fries came pre-seasoned in a box and there were no ingredients listed, her friend who is vegan could eat them without any problems... What did I end up with? An uninspiring Greek salad with 1 olive.
This is the BEST Greek Restaurant that I have ever experienced. The food is incredible. We came to visit Vancouver and had to come here twice. (Son and Dad from Winnipeg, Manitoba)
Excellent food and service, careful of Covid protocols.
We ordered through door dash, our food took over 1 1/2 hrs to be ready not including the driving time. the door dasher waited at the restaurant for over 30 mins and they tried to get him to drop the order. When the food finally arrived, all of it was bland and the soups watery, they forgot our drinks. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place:(
I have never given a review before, but this time I just had to. I dont know what goes on with this place, but the service is awful. I have been to this restaurant about 4-5 years ago with a friend of mine. I dont remember exactly what happened, but I remember my friend noting how bad the service was, so I had a bad taste in my mouth remembering this restaurant. Since than I havent been back up until recently, because I really craved for Greek food and the other Greek restaurants were too far. The server was not nice at all and was rude about something that was not a big deal and not my fault at all. The restaurant was empty, and now during Covid times dont they need peoples money? The food is average, nothing special, but really overpriced. The portions are half the size than they were 4 years ago for the same price. Even that wouldnt be a huge issue if the service was even close to reasonable. Having had such a bad experience again I will never, ever come back to this place ever again.
Today was an excellent experience. Had a nice table near the window with the sun out. The food was great with very good portions.
Absolutely my favorite greek go to in Burnaby Heights, food always awesome and service is top shelf.
I have allways enjoyed Sfinaki but food has gone downhill. Calamari was pre battered cut up tubes that tasted freezer burned.
Excellent. Congratulations
I dont give reviews often but this place was just so bad, I dont understand how it can be so well rated here. We were given one sticky plastic menu for three, two sets of cutlery only, and sat in that poorly lit room with this cheap and loud music and sticky floor. The food was very salty and greasy and waaay overpriced! It left a bad taste in our mouths and sat like a stone in our stomachs. Will not return.
We tried this place for dinner the other night. I have to say it was very dissapointing, its hard to believe it was rated best greek food in Burnaby. They ran out of chicken souvlaki, as well as a few other dishes we wanted. We ended up getting the beef souvlaki which was tough and flavourless, the rice tasted like plain steamed rice no vegetables or flavour in it. The small half potato was not marinated in lemon or olive oil, just quickly baked in the oven. The greek salad did not have any green peppers in it and very little feta on top, and one small olive. The portions were very small, yet the prices were high. There was also a loud, vulgar, intoxicated women yelling, yet none of the staff asked her to quiet down, in fact they were still serving her alcohol, and everyone had to listen to her as well as children in the restaurant. Would not return to this restaurant. I like to support small local businesses, but find it hard to do so with this establishment.
Unfortunately I don t have anything good to say about this establishment. The last time we ordered, they messed the order up which caused the food to be an hour later than expected. They tried to get the doordash driver to cancel it w/o contacting us to find a solution that worked for everyone. Food was either bland or way too salty in the end. Won t order from them or recommend them to friends or family.
Do yourself a favor and get the sfinaki fries. Forget about your diet and get two. Its worth it
