Always a great meal with exceptionally friendly staff. We did encounter an issue with one of our dishes, but they handled it professionally by deducting the cost and even offering us a 10% discount. Weve been visiting this place about every two weeks for the past couple of months, and the quality of the fish is consistently excellent. Highly recommend this spot!

The menu is now quite limited, focusing mostly on rolls with few other Japanese options, which may disappoint those looking for a broader selection. Service can feel dismissive, with staff often appearing rushed and inattentive. Additionally, parking is challenging, and wait times can range from 15 to 35 minutes, even when not particularly busy. Prices have also increased noticeably, which doesn t align with the current quality and experience. Overall, it no longer offers the value or variety it once did.

Here s my enthusiastic review for Sushi on ! We ordered takeout, and we were thrilled with the taste and quality of the dishes. The Special Roll Rainbow was incredible! Fresh salmon, tuna, and other sashimi on top perfectly complemented the soft avocado and crab meat filling, while the wasabi mayo and unagi sauces added a special kick. The Donburi Chicken Teri Don was simply delightful tender chicken in teriyaki sauce and perfectly cooked rice created a harmonious combination. Thank you, Sushi on, for the amazing food; we ll definitely order again and recommend it to everyone!

WE order from sushi On regularly. The food is always amazing. We often order when we have friends over and they love it. We had a roll missing from our order and called to let the restaurant know. They not only made up our roll but added an extra few items to make up for the confusion. amazing service.

The sashimi and the don rice is just ok, very western style Japanese food; the soy sauce is very salty. If you are looking for real Japanese food, this shouldnt be the choice.

Chicken yaki udon was to salty with excessive sauce. Gave the sever the feedback and he came back with few words saying he checked the back and its normal. Maybe he should try it out himself! I was drinking 4 cups of water afterwards. Next time Ill request for a new dish!

Great menu options for everyone, even gluten free options Went in for lunch, there was a long queue wasn t too bad of a wait. Sushi was fresh. Portions were sizeable Flavours were on point I had ordered a couple of gluten free rolls to-go for a friend. There was perhaps a mix up and I said gluten-free too quiet, to-go order came and I asked. They were nice enough to make the change for me - the order went back and they made me a new batch of gluten free maki. I appreciate the accommodation in the request. For that, I m giving them 5 stars.

You can truly be in and out in 20 minutes, we felt very rushed. If you like assembly line sushi cool you will like this place. My Oshi felt premade and dry, like they make them ahead and top then as people order. I have tried miso soup, wakame salad and many of the veggie rolls. Favorites are tofu panda, avocado mango and spicy avocado rolls. The pricing is great and taste is always on point. Service is quick and nice. Love coming here whenever visiting my friend who stays in the neighborhood.

Me and my husband loved to eat out at SushiOn. However, I had truly unpleasure experience today. We got wrong order for a roll. The server was very unprofessional to deal with it. She suddenly disappeared while explaining to us, and she just told us We will make new one. Additionally, I ordered abo&yam roll wasnt wrapping properly. It broke right away when I pick it up. the fried yam was soggy as well. It was my birthday dinner, I dont think I made the right choice!

One of the only places around that are still open quite late. The Wasabi tako appetizer was great. The sushi is okay, the rice is a little too vinegary. I liked the tamago, gunkan and salmon but the rest of the fish was not super good. Its a standard place that is not bad but not super amazing.

The place lies to get customers. They told me it was going to take 20 to 25 minutes when it actually took 45 minutes. I only ordered 2 aburi sushi. They didnt even flame torch my sushi and rushed my order! I will not order from here again! The sushi was disgusting!

They have the best sushi in Vancouver at least for the time I have been here in 1+ years. You gotta try OMG and Popcorn rolls. Even the Jalapeno Poppers are done well. Its so good that we went back 4 days after. So good!

The guy (I think he s the store manager) who served us was really nice and well spoken which made the experience even better. Amazing sushi spot one of the best sushi restaurants in Burnaby or even downtown Van super friendly staff and accommodating .don t get discouraged if you see a line or waiting list . We had 6 groups of people ahead of us and we only waited 19 mins total . Free Parking in plaza but if it s filled just drive a bit down and there s street 2 hour free parking. Very disappointed, not as good as the previous reviews said. We need to wait 50 minutes for the seats around 6pm. Only 11 tables there.. I saw at least 5 tables of customers already left for over 15 minutes, but nobody bother to clean up the tables, Until we asked them to clean it. They told us, they are under staff today.. so thats why, everything goes so slow... But I saw they only have 11 tables of customers with 3 servers, 1 cashier, 1 manager and 4 sushi chefs at FOH. Thats called under staff ?! 2 of us had tried ... Hamachi and toro nigiri sushi --- they are so fishy, not fresh --- rice is hard and falling apart Tobiko nigiri sushi --- Tobiko was salty, seaweed is not crispy and rice is hard Prawn tempura --- the batter way too thick, But hot and crispy Salmon oishi --- not as good as review said.. 4 small pieces of spicy pork Gyoza , not spicy at all . Too sweet for us.. Spicy salmon tempura roll --- not spicy, but something difference Popcorn roll -- this is the only dish I like, With deep fried chopped scallops And yam on top of prawn tempura California rolls, its tasty. We tried to order kirin beer, but Our server told us that, they totally Out of Japanese beer, but the they Got new beer... Why not give it a try?! So, we ordered... 1 bottle of green tea favorite and 1 bottle of pale ale beer.. But we dont like both.. Services are friendly and with smile Face, but the food quality is not That fresh... Hard to find parking space, we need to park on street ... This is our first time and last time. Price not cheap and not expensive. Above average to us...

I ve been a regular at Sushi On, and they never disappoint! Today was another exceptional experience. The staff is always super friendly, and the food is incredibly fresh and of high quality. A special shoutout to our server today, a young boy named Jun, and a nice lady who both made our visit even more enjoyable. I also highly recommend trying the sashimi sauce it was amazing! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great sushi and outstanding service!

We saw this place as we were driving to the swimming pool near by and thought we might try it after swimming! I decided to Google this restaurant and it had really great reviews so me and my son decided to stop to have lunch. Wow to our surprise this place was a hidden gem to say the least.... this place was great and was pleasantly surprised! We walked in at lunchtime and got a table right away, the staff were all super kind and accommodating. We ordered our food and were served in a matter of minutes from being seated and ordering. The food was fresh, smelled and looked amazing and exceeded our expectations by far. This place has so many good options to choose from, for whatever you are looking for in a great sushi restaurant. The menu has so many options and is not expensive at all for the quality that you receive... I highly recommend this place and will visit here again many times. Get your sushi on people!!!

On a Saturday night we get there at 9:33 she first says we are closed and then I tell her that it say 10 pm online. suddenly she says the last call is 9:30 and they don t let us in 3 minutes past the last call! Don t trust the working hours. They don t let the customers enter whenever they want!

Great everything except the parking is challenging, so if youre in a rush order for take out then circle around or park and walk near the residential areas. Better than Richmond restaurants and not that far.

Changing my review, before used to be my favourite sushi place, but now one waitress never come to the table and she always is in bad mood, about the food Im not sure what happened, it is not coming with the same flavor and quality as before.

It was a pleasant meal. The package really revived my tired appetite. My 12-year-old daughter also had a hard time eating Chinese food that didnt suit her taste. The salmon sushi got a thumbs up, saying that even the child who had a hard time in the car ate her fill. I also really liked the tuna sushi. When I saw the neat food, I took the chopsticks first and was able to get one pretty picture. They were all young Koreans. Full of energy and kind It was as pretty and cool as the food. Receiving a happy heart and bright energy for the rest of your trip, Im going to have fun. Thank you.

Me and my family love coming back here for sushi. They have a variety of rolls and i nearly tried all of them I recommend trying their Lion King Roll , OMG Roll and K-Town brothers

Is this sushi from the same owner or different one ?

The size of the sushi was huge. It was so big. It looked like raw fish on top of rice. I felt like I would have been full even if I ordered seven or eight pieces the size of sushi. Its a shame I didnt take a picture. The chicken karaage was soft and really soft. The gyudon was also delicious. The miso had a clean taste without being too strong with soybean paste. Looking around, I saw that they usually ate the pocket menu during lunch time.

We love sushi on burnaby, always a pleasure having food from here. Must try one of the best restaurant in city.

It s OK - definitely not worth 4.8 stars - had way better sushi elsewhere. I think they use the same spicy mayo for a LOT of different rolls so all of our specialty sushi rolls (veggie and non-veggie) ended up tasting very similar to each other - rice, seaweed, something crunchy with something spicy. The tofu panda roll is extra spicy I had to chuck a can of coke to wash it off. Not sure if I ll go again but if I do or if you intend to go, please read the description carefully making sure there s a diverse of ingredients in the rolls you pick. Also the rolls fell apart very easily making it messy to eat. 3 stars because the price is reasonable (comparing to places in Van). Parking: About 20-30 spots shared with other businesses

Amazing food! Deserves 7 stars!!

We went in as a family for a birthday lunch, nothing fancy or had any special requests but just wanted to have a good time with good food. Food we ordered was amazing and I was so busy indulging that I forgot to feed the camera first! All that set aside, I definitely do with the service was a bit better. The waitress and waiters all had the RBF and looked miserable during their shifts which is a downer for diners. It does not hurt to smile even if it s a half effort one but when you have a waiter or waitress refill tea or serve you your orders with a scowl.. it kinda sucks. (This could also just be how they are, smile-less individuals or they could also just be having a bad day but nevertheless should any dining customers have to experience or see that. It ruins the appetite!) Vegetarian options: There is a page in the menu that has all vegetarian options :) Kid-friendliness: Sure? Just make sure you aren t paired with non-smiling, scowling servers!

I cant say enough great things about this place. The entire staff is very attentive and friendly, especially with kids. The food is excellent and everything weve tried has been good. Its my daughters favourite restaurant, so we end up here every 2-3 weeks as she gets to choose one of the two restaurants per week we eat at.

I ordered a Sanago roll and nigiri: inari, ebi, and saba. The roll was good, and only one piece fell apart when picking it up. The saba was a little dry but enjoyably pickled. Parking: Free lot shared with other businesses and time limited, free street parking.

No sushi no life? Okay.. I am ON it.. I ordered take out when it was first opened, it was okay. I decided to do a quick late lunch dine in since I am in the area and its slogan, no sushi no life , got my attention. It s conveniently located on the little plaza on Edmonds by Canada Way in Burnaby. There is an okay amount of parking spaces in the parking lot, if not there are both free and pay street parking available. Inside was pretty clean when I arrived and comfortably seated, always nice when not so crowded that s why I preferred non peak hours when dining alone. Here were the food I ordered; 1. Ebi sunomono. The sushi vinegar and sugar with lemon were balanced, the vermicelli noodles were a bit chewy, but the 2 piece ebi hack didn t go too well with me (halved 1 ebi into 2 pieces is not really considered 2 ebi?!?) Yep, not a big fan of that and a lot of restaurants do it to the hokkigai too. I truly believe Japanese restaurants should really stop doing these silly food hacks (facepalm). 2. Salmon & tuna sashimi. Pretty fresh and decent size. 3. Dragon roll. Pretty fresh and tasty overall, but I am not too big a fan of so much sauces when it comes to sushi, mask too much of the original taste. 4. Salmon, tuna, toro, saba, ikura, chopped scallop nigiris. The sushi rice was nicely done and formed, everything was fresh but the toros were missing that buttery taste. Overall, the layout and vibe here was pretty casual. This was the same for service wise, nothing bad or dynamic that wow me a repeat anytime soon. As for the food, everything was okay and fresh. I would say pretty basic and standard menu, no specialty dishes or sushi. Restaurant slogan, no sushi no life many may not know but we are going through a silent recession and many restaurants are beginning to feeling the impact, therefore, my words to restaurants, no good food no customers .

Food was delicious - honestly some of the best quality sushi Ive had in Vancouver in years. Great vegan options - I had the Agedashi Tofu, Inari Nigiri, Avo-cucumber roll and yam tempura roll. Only complaint is that the yam tempura roll was too large to have in one bite. The menu was really nice, because almost every food item had photos alongside it ( I will say that I was a bit annoyed that the veggie gyoza was deepfried, which was not what the photo on the menu looked like). Extremely cute cutlery & napkins as well! However, I did feel a bit squished in, and like the other tables were a bit too close for comfort. The service was ok - The food tended to come out as it was ready, not all at once, so I had to sit and wait with my food in front of me for about 10 minutes while my friend had nothing to eat. I noticed this happened to the tables beside me a well. I would have rather that the food came all at once! The pricing was extremely reasonable considering the food quality. Overall good experience, would be my go-to spot if I lived closer to the location! Vegetarian options: There is an entire page in the menu dedicated to the vegetarian/vegan rolls!

Sushi was pretty good, with decent prices. There are many special rolls to choose from, but many of them are just a California roll with something on top. The service was excellent though, even though the restaurant was full we did not have to wait long. The sushi tasted fresh and the aburi was amazing!

The environment is good, the lighting is bright, access is easy, and parking spaces are easy to find. The service attitude is very good. There are many table visits and inquiries. The attitude is very friendly. The meals are large, clean, creative and reasonably priced. The meal will be prepared according to the design of the meal and the sauce will be served. The menu is clearly designed, each item has pictures to view, and you clearly know the positioning of the meals.

If you are looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant, this is NOT where you wanna go but if you are looking for a place for ROLLS , they have a lot of options. The rolls taste ok it could ve been better if they could ve put less sauce on it. Pretty disappointed on their Sashimi The Tuna weren t fully defrosted Sockeyes salmon were so bland Not serving with sushi rice ( I felt like it was a big chunk of rice without vinegar)

Been eating in and ordering take out in this location for quite sometime now...the food/service was good but today the california roll was too cold, it was like eating ice cream sushi roll. The manager did offer to replace the sushi but I declined because it might be another ice cream sushi. Maybe we wont be eating sushi there for now, Ill try again in the spring or summer and see if the California roll is still cold.

Nice restaurant and service, the bento boxes were good and were decently sized. I liked the chicken more than the beef. Aburi sushi was good but nothing too special.

Short 5 mins walk from Edmonds community centre. Thanks for accommodating our table of 5 kids and letting us enjoy some adult time away from them at our own table. Quick service and tasty food. Price was very reasonable for a bento lunch box of $16.50 and a hearty bowl if upon for $16. Will be back!

It was my first time trying here. We had Udon, Red dragon roll, and chicken teriyaki. The foods were great and fresh! Servers were super nice too. I would visit this place again

We ve been looking for a go-to sushi place for the last 2 years now and my fiance and I are so pleased to finally find one! Their special rolls are very unique. The menu is extensive and includes lots of pictures. The rolls actually came out much bigger than the menu suggests. Service was great as well, everyone is very friendly! Looking forward to becoming regulars here (: Vegetarian options: They have a seperate section just for veg options!

Food is decent and seems fresh. However I find several of the rolls are repetitive in ingredients, having all similar stuffing just with different sauce toppings. I would recommend reducing your menu selection.

I think I had the BEST AVOCADO AND MANGO rolls in my life here! The Wasabi was fresh, the food was delicious. The service was impeccable and thoughtful. Cannot recommend enough. Vegetarian options: They have beautiful vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: They offer a good range of help in regards to their menu. You just have to talk to them. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access to inside and ample space.

The food and price was good. We were 5 and spent $110 + tips. We were so full. The size of rolls are big and we had a 2-3 people party size and it was good portion and tasty. Spicy salmon/tuna was so yummy. Food also was fresh.
