This place is a hidden gem! Food is super fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Their staff are really friendly and attentive (especially for a sat night)!! We got the C-Kim-Tteok combo and were pleasantly surprised at all the items. Will dine here again!
I think the place offers excellent choices for entry level Korean food seekers. They have all the nice mixture of menu that you can find from K dramas. The server was extremely pleasant as well. However as a seasoned Korean food lover, I expected little more kick in the taste as well as the choices offered in the menu. Parking also wasn’t easy for us to find as we had to park on a paid busy street. For that I had to take a star off however a decent Korean restaurant with fun vibe.
Perfect Korean food, I’ve missed Korean food a lot, and now I find my must-go Korean restaurant. And on top of that, owners are really kind and nice. Highly recommend here! JUST come visit 👍👍 한국음식 먹고 싶다면 여기로… 강추
Came here for lunch. Got gimari, pork belly bibimbap, and kim chi stew. Absolutely delicious. Stone bowl kept it hot till the end. Only issue was loud music, felt a bit like an early 2000s nightclub. Nevertheless, would definitely come again!
We enjoyed our lunch here. Tasty food and ok portions. Service was a bit slow and took a while to get our food prepared. But overall it was worth it. We hardly find these kind of set meals in Korean restaurants. The food tasted freshly prepared and could have had a bit more protein, but overall a nice weekday lunch.
Holy freakin c.r.a.p!!!!!! This equals my best restaurant experience ever! Matches the $250/plate Japanese that set the bar. Almost didn’t finish my beer, the food was so good. Waitress came by and mixed up my food for me because I was eating it wrong. Waitress tried to refuse the tip. I had to insist. An absolute MUST TRY!!! Wish I could give higher than 5 star. I know where I’m taking my business clients now.
What a fantastic experience. Victoria bc doesn't have anything like this and this is exactly what it needs. I'm delighted by the colours. The flavors. The personable staff. Quick. Efficient. Kind. What a great little place to eat. If this place gets more popular there will be a line as the dining area is small. Can't wait to come back!
My bf found this gem of a place. The food was delicious and I can’t wait to come back to try again. Everything was perfect and had that warm cozy feel. My only complaint was when we got our appetizers, the server with glasses didn’t bring us any plates to put them in so it was awkward to eat. We had to flag her down to get some plates and extra napkins. The second server toward the end of the dining experience was very pleasant and friendly.
Very Yummy
This is the best korean restaurant in Brentwood!
Food was great and servers were friendly and accommodating
Food was okay, but no side dishes (Korean restaurant usually offer free side dishes, but they charge 1 dollar for kimchi). Price was a little bit high. Ordered a tofu soup, and they charge extra 1 dollar for extra spicy level. Would come back only if they don t have extra charges like that.
Wouldnt recommend their kimbap, 50% of the fillings were raw carrots. I got the house kimbap, not a carrot kimbap. It made the kimbap flavorless and cheap. Not the best way to cut cost. Fried chicken also wasnt flavourful.
I love this place one day me and my friend will visit and eat together! Thank you for you service
Kimbab is Vancouver Zone. Ive been going once a week for a few weeks, even though its a long distance. It was really delicious because it had a lot of vegetables and little rice. I keep thinking about it. Yesterday, I ate green onion pancake and makgeolli. The Vancouver makgeolli was so overpowering that I got a cold in my throat. It went down easily. The green onion pancake was just as I expected. Thank you for always being kind to me. The boss is also super awesome~~~!!!
The owner and servers were so friendly! I ate the kimbap I wanted, and the rose tteokbokki tasted the same as the one I had in Korea! It was so delicious :) Good service, good price, delicious food. Thank you. I will come again next time
Its the best kimbap Ive ever had in Vancouver~~ Its awesome
If you want korean style fried chicken or other korean snack foods in the Brentwood area, this is the place to go! On my last visit, they offered a new menu item, which I believe was a jajang tteokbokki. They really ate or something idk what the kids say
One of the best Korean food joints in Metro Vancouver! I loved their Japchae and their Soy Garlic fried chicken!
Was excited to try this place since it s so close to home but it was a miss for me. Almost $20 for the cupbop which was 80% rice and salad, with two bites each of bulgolgi and japchae. Not an exaggeration, it was literally two bites of each. Felt like a rip off. Food tasted good but portions don t match the prices at all.
My friends and I loved #Chibop so much we came back a second time on our vacation to try more menu items. Our favorites include the fried chicken (yangnyeom if you like spicy/ soy garlic if not), jeyuk bokkeum, and the soon tofu soup! Try this spot if you want delicious Korean food and shoutout to the wonderful staff! We wish we could pack this restaurant in our suitcase and take it home with us!
We ordered the kimchi stew and pork belly dosirak, both very tasty! The restaurant is just a bit small so it can feel a bit crowded at times when there are people walking in for pick up. Vegetarian options: They do have a Vegan section on their menu with many choices Parking: There is paid street parking but not a lot of space. There are 2 parking lots on each side of the street south of the restaurant.
I ordered pick up today, the worst Bulgogi Kimbap I have ever had :/
I have tried take out/delivery twice and dine in twice to give a fair review. With so many Korean restaurants lately, this one falls short on flavour and portion sizes. I felt that Chibop didnt quite meet the expectations of what is typically known to be Korean food: Savoury, robust, full of exciting flavour, JUST the right amount of spiciness, and generous portions to show care and appreciation for the diner. None of these basic points were met, and I cannot recommend it. Will not return.
Vegetarian options: the vegan gimbap is soo good and the portion is massive! Food
Great food, super delicious! good ambiance and staff is very friendly. 10/10 do recommend for a cozy lunch/dinner!
The first time I went, the young person serving me gave me water when I ordered, but the second time I went, I ordered a banana milk drink, and they said I bought banana milk, but they wouldnt give me water while eating. The amount of banana milk was small, so it was difficult to eat. Even if I ordered a drink, it would be nice if they gave me water.
I ordered take out and the noodles were fantastic. For the price I thought it was tasty and fulfilling food.
The food was extremely delicious and very filling! The prices were also good considering the portion size
Their soup noodles is awesome
Interesting place to visit . We thought the food was good and staff very friendly and attentive. Price was decent compared to other Korean places. What stood out was the fried chicken .
Great good Great restaurant
Chibop is a good place to get a quick tasty lunch. The chicken was just a bit heavy in the ginger.
Awesome little Korean spot. Great service and amazing cuisine!
A comfortable Korean restaurant with efficient staff. We had the yang yum chicken and the bibimbup. It came with a emmok soup. The food was good and the service was fast.
Love the Kimbab
Small place by brentwood! The food was great, kimbap was big and the fried chicken was juicy!
Don t waste your money here.
Best kimbop &chicken ever. Kimbap came looking for you because you wanted to eat radish. The kimbap was really big, had a lot of vegetables, and was fresh, so I ate it with great happiness. I ordered chicken and jangguk together, and the chicken was also excellent. The owners also seemed kind and friendly.
Korean food in the Burnaby Brentwood area!! all of the items I tried were very delicious, even their Boneless Chicken - Half Soy Garlic
Always good food
Very delicious! I come here during lunchtime for the Jjamppoing...and I think I am addicted LOL. Highly recommend.
Ive been here multiple times and Ive never ordered anything off their menu that I didnt like. Price is reasonable and portions are great. I get take out a lot and they always have my order ready by the time I walk over. Favourite Korean place near me.
This is a great place for kimbap. The staff are friendly. However, it takes 25 minutes to make one line of kimbap. The times when food ordered in combos are brought to the table come again. If you want a satisfying meal, we recommend avoiding visiting during prime time.
Their food is excellent, and their service, although it can be slow or a little chaotic, they try their hardest to deliver a good experience.
My husband visit this place almost every week. We re never tired of their food. The service is always amazing and I really appreciate this type of family style hidden gem Korean restaurant. I especially love their Jjajangmyeon. Food
We were in the area and found this place, so we decided to try their food and Im so glad we did. The food was great (no pictures because we were so hungry and ate it right away. lol). Serving of the food was bigger than we expected, and service was very good. Friendly and approachable staff. Definitely recommend and would go back there again.
Delicious and plentiful Korean food! Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant is casual and comfortable. Great choice for dinner! Vegetarian options: They have several vegetarian options available.
The food was good. The service and atmosphere was a bit odd. I usually go to korean restaurants and never feel like this. On the other hand, this time, I went with y friend (who has darker skin) and we asked for 5 minutes to decide what we want to eat. They said okay and cane back after almost 15 minutes. Everytime I tried to make eye contact with them they avoided it. I liked the food though. It was pretty tasty and I would definitely recommend it.
Cleanest restaurant I ve ever been to and one that serves really good food. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to try K-food.
Finally I went to this place. I always wanted to go but I just didn t as it s tucked away from my usual walk path. After friend saying this had best Korean fried chicken, I had to taste. This did not disappoint a bit. Me and my friend hit this place for lunch. We had half and half Korean friend chicken and our two choice of sauces were honey garlic and Yangnyeom sauce. And this is so far the best Korean fried chicken I had so far. I am always skeptical about honey garlic because it tends to be on the sweeter side. This is perfect for me. Not too sweet and to my liking. For a bit of kick, the Yangnyeom is damn good flavour. Loved the chicken to the core. (It s boneless and skinless fried chicken) We also ordered the Tteok-bokki which was amazing. It has kick to it and so good. My friend had the house made Gimbap and he said it was amazing. On a final word, it s a definite must visit place if you love fried chicken and if you are in Brentwood area. I will be visiting this place more often now and can t wait to have the fried chicken again.
Very delicious stir fried pork and chicken! And the people working were very nice and the service was good.
Good Vibe, Good Food, Good Location
I went here after my hair dresser from Sejong recommended this place yesterday. I was very hungry around 3pm so I ordered Chicken Combo ($21.98). Chicken Combo was pretty good and filling. Fried chicken and fries were crispy and delicious. Salad and radish were nicely made. I had fried chicken with Yangnyeom sauce it was pretty good. Chicken was coated in a thin batter and the sauce was flavorful and yummy. I better go here instead of going to Chicko next time. Portion and the price were pretty reasonable. Staff were fast and friendly. She offered me a take out box and a bag without charging. That was really nice of her. I was told their Kimbab is huge and filling so that I should come back on day.
Had the smoked duck dosirak today, which left a LOT to be desired. For $30, all I got was a very small portion of duck, with almost half of it being inedible because it was all fat that I had to throw. When the rest of the dosirak is just grains and vegetables, youre left feeling like you didnt have a full meal either. (Translation: Im still hungry!). All this is poor value for $30! Ive eaten better dishes here before, but this one left such a bad impression that I wont return.
I ordered take out for a house warming party, staff was helpful and smart with my order! Everything was ready when I got there, so I can quickly pay and pick the food up! Thanks Chibop crew for preparing food and utensils! Will definitely come back and order if there are any events!
Fantastic food and friendly service every time!
I first came across this restaurant when I was in the area and had a craving for Korean food. Plenty of parking in the underground area and easily accessible by transit as well. The place was well kept and the service was great. My favourite dishes are the tteokbokki and the chicken. The tteokbokki has a good ratio of rice cakes to fish cakes .The flavour is great as well and they did a good job with the spice level. I also really enjoyed the chicken. It s boneless and the texture is just right when taking a bite. My favorite sauce is the yangneom sauce. Overall, it s been a great experience both in terms of food and service each time I ve came here and would definitely recommend coming here is you re looking for some great Korean food.
Always excellent.
The gimbap, bibimbap, and soondae are my faves here! The owner/staff are extremely friendly and the restaurant is clean. I would even say the gimbap here is better than the ones you can get in Korea. They re loaded with healthy ingredients with minimal rice and well seasoned. Highly recommended!
Ordered tuna, pork belly, prawn and smoked salmon kimbap. My favourite are tuna and prawn kimbap! Smoked salmon kimbap is the most disappointing as it is actually raw salmon not smoked salmon as described.
I love the food, even though I m not Korean. The music and atmosphere make the dining experience chill, and the food is reasonably priced. I especially like the kimchi kimbap and the seafood pancake.
After indoctrination, I came with my friends and ate chicken and tteokbokki. The portions were plentiful and they were sweet and kind
Food is amazing and the service was also great!! If u r around go visit!!
I came Herr with my friends and the food was amazing. We all enjoyed it and the service is great.
The fried chicken was so good also the cheese tteoppokki was good too
Dinner in this restaurant tonite, the service is great, food is awesome (way much better then my expectations).
The food and service are good and the owner and staff are friendly. Whats a bit disappointing is that the price of kimbap is a bit expensive....
I love the chicken and the spicy soup!
Cheese gimbap was delicious and their chicken was peak heaven. I would go here again 10/10
My friends and I ordered the Vegan Gimbap, Volcano Chicken, and Jajang-Myeon. The food was great in flavour, but I will say its more on the pricey side considering portion size. Despite this, it was still a good experience for us! Our waitress was incredibly friendly and gave us some recommendations on other local dessert options. We saw her on the way to the train, and she was friendly with us even then. Thanks for the great service!!
Bella was an absolutely great server thank you!!!
Super solid Korean food at a great price here. There s lots of people who come for takeout and dine in as well. There are plenty of seats, but they don t take reservations. Overall, really solid fried chicken, tasty Korean dishes, and a variety of traditional dishes. Solid soup as well. Definitely recommend for a casual Korean bite.
Servers and quality of food were the highlights. Yangnyeom fries portion seems dismal and unalleviated by the cute appearance.
Service is great and food is delicious! Definitely one of the top Korean restaurants!
Awesome !Chi bop
Tasty food, and friendly speedy service, perfect lunch spot!
Servers are really nice and the food is really nice too.
Ordered the cheese teokbokki and the beef bulgogi kimbap. Pros: -staff was very helpful when I had questions about the food and checked in often to see if I needed anything -teokbokki was very flavourful and quite spicy which was fine with me. Lots of fish cakes mixed in. Read the description carefully, as cheese teokbokki means the rice cake has cheese inside and not the the cheese is on-top of the dish. Portion was very large but this was also ~$16 -large portion size for the kimbap and rolled nicely. Cons: The kimbap I had came cold. When I asked the staff about this, she informed me that it was because all the ingredients are refrigerated, but assured me that each kimbap was made to order. She also confirmed that yes, the rice is on the colder side. I have never had cold (not even room temperature) kimbap before. All the other places that Ive eaten them from (Korean markets, other restaurants), they have always been warm. Although the staff explained the reason behind it, eating a cold kimbap was not very pleasant and I would not order this again in the future. Summary: good service, cold kimbap, tasty teokbokki.
So delicious ~
Im a regular here. Food is so good here.
My friends told me that there was a Korean snack restaurant, so I went there. At that time, I thought I wanted to eat cool and spicy Jjamppong, and it happened to be on the menu, so I ordered it right away. I didnt have high expectations for Jjamppong since I first went there after hearing that it was a snack bar. But that was my big mistake. It was so refreshing and spicy, and even the smell of fire was perfect. :-) I would like to try other menus on my next visit. Be sure to visit if youre near North Burnaby! I recommend it.
This was my first visit to this place, but had the worst experience. The Jeyuk Cupbop I ordered had an unpleasant taste. The meat seemed as if it had been frozen for weeks and then microwaved, emitting a foul odor. I won t try here again.
The gimbab was interesting. I am used to eating kimbab and there is a difference. There are a lot more vegetables. In my opinion, it is better. The soup was spicy and delicious. Re used the broth with instant noodles
Food was OK and service was not good. We were seated right away but then they just forgot about us, which was odd because we were siting right beside the cash register and there were 3 servers on duty. Others who were seated after us, were served 1st and finished eating way before us. When food came, my wife got hers 1st, then my kids each got theirs a few minutes later. I did not get mine until @ least 10-12 minutes later and that was only after Id asked twice what was taking so long. There are better Korean places out there with better menu and definitely better service. Will not be going back.
Best Gimbab place in Vancouver!! big portions!! and very fresh , friendly staff!! They also sell house made Kim chi Food
I had the Gimbap and Spicy Fish Cake soup. Large portions!
I ordered the rib cupbop and 2 ribs were pink in the middle when pulling the meat apart. Please cook the ribs a little longer. So far the food is satisfying to my liking.
Food - 4/5 Atmosphere - 3/5 Service - 3/5 Value - 4/5 Would I go back? - Yes Think of your hole in the wall restaurant but clean. Also somewhat self serve, but the food comes out quickly. They don t have that many tables inside but they re not that busy either. Fried chicken was the best, no matter what flavour. Crunchy on the outside with a flavourful sauce followed by juicy boneless thigh meat. Kimbap was big, and also stuff full of filling and not just rice. The seafood pancake was okay, I ve had better. The value is pretty good for what you get. Will definitely go back for take out or dine in.
Very clean place, and the food was fresh and tasty. Love that they have a wide selection of food, instead of just fried chicken. The gimbap is generously sized, great for a quick bite. The chibop soup was comforting and hot, great for winter time. Friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to coming back soon!
I was looking something close to home to satisfy my Korean Fried Chicken craving, and omg this was the perfect place for it. I love how close this little Korean Cafe is so close to my place, literally just a walk down the street. And the best thing they have is 15% off Mondays with cash. I have been here already two times, and the nice lady who works here is always so nice. I come here to just do a pick up for the past two times, and they also ask me if I wanted utensils and other such with my orders. It seems they are so fast with their orders as well and it seems consistent for now. I ordered their Kimbap, and they are extremely delicious, you can tell they used fresh ingredients. I usually order their Beef Kimbap. There are so much food usually here, that I am extremely full after it. And they offer some delicious KFC too as well! I ordered their 2 flavours, for one full order. They offer the typical Yangnyeom and Honey Garlic or regular Soy Garlic. They are all just delicious flavours. I have yet to try their Cheese one, but I will be back just to try it next time. I love their Yangnyeom, it is a perfect spice and on top of that, their honey garlic is perfectly sweet and flavorful too. They for sure earned a regular from me. I will be coming back here to order more of their delicious KFC and want more of that Kimbap~!!
Delicious food, and lovely service! My partner and I came in a few weeks ago and shared a number of items including bibimbap, kimbap, and fried chicken. All of it was so delicious, and exceptionally well priced. Our server was friendly too.
Very happy to have a good affordable Korean restaurant close to Brentwood mall. Tried the Bimbap, gimbap and the chicken combo and they were all quite good. Much better value here than going to the foodcourt at Brentwood
So glad this place is so close by and I loved eating here! The place looked really casual but comfy and the service was really warm too. We got the Cupbop w/ Spicy Fried Chicken, Samgyeopsal Bibimbap and House Gimbap! Super delicious and will definitely come by many times again :) Definitely a hidden gem!
Their fried chicken was very tasty, must try their butter chicken and sweet and spicy flavour!
Inside the clean restaurant Clean food and service was very friendly. Kimbap is so filling that it tastes good. They say they made the kimchi themselves. Overall, everything was delicious! I plan to visit again soon to try other menu items!
Tasty food with good portions. The service was excellent and everything seemed to be made with care. We shared most items on the menu and will definitely be coming back.
We ordered half-and-half chicken. Honey garlic and soy sauce garlic and fries. Chicken was great tasty not greasy. Fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the side. Service was good. Will order from here again.
The best korean gimbap in my entire life. Amazing size, which I cant eat with one bite. Love this gimbap so much. Must Try restaurant in Vancouver! Food : 5/5 |
If you are looking for something to grab the simple food but still filling, I would highly recommend this restaurant! You can have the best Korean Street Food! Especially with draft beer would be perfect combination! The kimbab was so big and very nicely rolled! Also I could taste the fresh veggie I will definitely come back for a beer with Frozen Mug
The best Korean gimbap ever! If you are looking for something new, fresh and healthy, it is the perfect choice for you
Best korean bibimbap in burnaby!! Ill visit this place again. Food
My favourite place for gimbap, love all the dishes here. Hidden gem for sure
Feels very authentic! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Always get chicken here, it s the BOMB DOT COM. I would go back to this place again
Delicious food and great variety on the menu.
This new korean place is still working out the kinks for service and food timing/plating but everyone is friendly and the food is pretty yummy. Its not my favorite Korean spot in the hood but Ill undoubtedly be back to grab some kimbop on the go or to take advantage of their stellar fried dumpling deal!
Awesome food, awesome staff, and overall a great place to eat good and reasonably priced Korean food!
Great attention, superb food
Tiny portions! There was such a small portion of protein in the bibimbap - considering the price it makes it very expensive. Otherwise the food itself is quite tasty, service is quick and attentive.
tasty!
I tried the gimbap and chicken today. All were so amazing and the price was reasonable too this would be my favorite restaurant to come many next times!!! Btw, the staff was so nice and cute
The staff here is very kind, with smile and they keep ask if you need some help. However they didn t explain how to order the meal, unfortunately it s my first time to visit so I couldn t do anything just ordered according to the picture on the screen. I ordered Ra-bokki but it came with only rice cake, noodles with a little vegetable:) This costed me 15.9+tax.
Great little place. Friendly staff and tasty food. Will be back!
Great taste and sweet customer service.!
Great place, the food is yummy. Friendly and helpful service.
I ordered via Uber eats, I got the Beef Bulgogi and pork belly Gimbap. Both items were so good. One of the better Korean restaurants out there. Great taste, above average portions and fair price. I will eat here again, I want try the sausage Gimbap, short ribs next time.
A very nice neighborhood place to get food! Service staff are very kind and prompt. Food is good, has Vegan options so it has something for both me and my partner! Vegetarian options: Many vegan options!
Ordered honey garlic boneless chicken, a salad, and samgyapsal gimbap. Great portion and price. Would love to come back and try other things next time.
It s our first time went to this restaurant because of the review from google. We love the foods but unlike other restaurant, they don t serve side dish. We went to so many Korean Restaurant and they always serve side dish for free. The food is OK. the service is good. The ambience is not really good because we went there with my kids but the music was too loud and the plants that they sell also just not in a good combination with the restaurant.
Its my second time and one of your staff yebeen was really so sweet and friendly with service ans was able to make our visit good. Also, your food was tasty like before but i missed the ramyeom and got to know now you don t have. But overall good korean place in vancouer. Keep it up
Delicious!! Great value for $. Ordered a gimbap and ttekbokki.
Ordered their fried chicken, and it was so delicious; the portion is quite large for the price and the rest of the items are all on the cheaper side, definitely will eat here a lot
Overall, the food is clean and delicious. The staff is friendly and the prices are not bad. Its 5 stars, but its a shame its too hot inside the store. And the bathroom is clean too
Love their vegan gimbap, so delicious and vegetarian friendly. The cold noodles is good too and prices are reasonable.
Lovely
GOod place to eat but 20$ plus
This is one of my favorite place I really like their food specially house Kimbob and ddokboki. Every food is delicious and they are so kind. I definitely come back here!!
Healthy meal! Legit Korean taste.
They offer Vegan and Vegetarian options. Vegan Kimchi is yummy and affordable.
Delicious, tender boneless honey garlic BBQ chicken; even a half portion was a lot! I especially enjoyed dipping slices of vegan gimbap into the kimchi soondubu (spicy, but not too much!). Strongly recommend a bottle of plain soju with the meal. Prompt, friendly service. Worth a walk!
Authentic &delicious korean food with reasonable price In other places, kimbap has the same amount of ingredients as in Korea, but the price is high, but here, it is delicious and the quantity is large.
we ordered house kimbop and beef bibimbop. all food was so good and their service was awesome!!!! Its worth visiting at least once a week!!! I want to say thank you so much to all staffs , see you guys soon
Staff is friendly and restaurant is clean. The food portion size is also good. But the taste is below average (compared to other Korean restaurants in Vancouver)
This is a great little hidden gem Korean restaurant!
A delicious no-fuss Korean eatery! Very friendly service and a tasty menu!
My wife and I really like to go here at least once a week. Our favorites are the soy garlic fried chicken (yummm) and the bibimbaps. Good food, good service and very reasonably priced
This gem of a local Korean place offers an open space with delicious food. My order included a kimchi bibimbap and a bulogi both flavorful served with Korean tea and soup. The place was filled with beautiful plants making the atmosphere alive. Food : 4/5
We have only gotten take out from this place. Overall, will recommend for a quick, yummy bite. We ve had their kimchi, beef, original, and tuna flavor. All were good except the tuna, it tasted off that day. The fries are good also. Only critique is so much carrots! I understand inflation but being that the protein for the original flavor is ham, it s always a game of find the ham
Very tasty
Amazing food, service and price. Really glad theres a good korean place in the area. Definitely recommend their fried chicken and gimbaps.
Best fried chicken ever!*
Amazing food, delicious and with a homemade flavour
Food came out coldish for dine in. Chicken combo barely had any yangnyeom sauce and the extra sauce ordered on the side was $1 and very little was provided as well. The taste of the food was not that good kind of disappointing. The pork belly in the bibimbap did not have any flavour nor seasonings and the stone pot did not make the food taste any different from a normal dish plate so I think it would be better to just skip on the stone pot. The only food that is probably worth it may be just the gimbap.
Really good food, fast service and the pricing is very reasonable. If you re looking for a delicious lunch that doesn t break the bank, look no further. Also, the spicy food is actually spicy, not western spicy lol.
This place was great, good food and great service.
So good! Its a good price and portions. Very casual with a comfy interior. Great place to hangout and grab a bite.
This is by far, one of my most favourite restaurants. I really love their rice bowls - it comes out fresh and delicious. I savoured every single taste and it reminded me of the happy moments that I had. I love the swiftness of the service and I did not have to wait long for my bowl. Highly recommend!
Tried their spicy cold noodle special, bulgogi gimbap and jeyuk dosirak. Everything was tasty and the service was great. The only minor complaint is the dosirak is a bit too pricy for what you get. The portion of protein was very tiny for $20
Good tasty food, friendly staff
I ordered the vegan gimbap for delivery and it was delicious. There aren t very many Korean restaurants that serve vegan/vegetarian options, so I was very excited when I found #chibop. With my delivery I received a very wholesome handwritten note from the restaurant owner wishing me a good evening and informing me that all tips go directly towards funding their wife s writing initiative. All in all, this was a wonderful meal and a much needed serotonin boost.
Great spot for Korean fried chicken in the area
Everything is good
Especially chicken is so delicious!! and there is an amazingly cool iced beer here.
I m so glad that I found an authentic Korean street food-style restaurant in my proximity. #CHIBOP s gimbab was so nice that won t be shaded if compared to that comes from Korea. Worth trying to raise your bar of gimbab!
The Inside was larger than expectation, the taste was pretty good . just one problem is they dont provide any side dishes unlike other Korean restaurants.
Ordered honey butter chicken. When I picked up my order it had cheese powder on it and no honey butter sauce. I asked about it and they said that honey butter isn t a sauce, just a powder. Tasted like cheese. I think they just messed up my order and didn t want to admit it.
Very packed most of the time and tightly seated. But the food is always top notch
Overall I had a really good experience! The food and service was great. Recommend coming here for light and filling korean dishes:)
The portion is small, had to order extra item otherwise would leave hungry, taste is fine.
The food and service is amazing! Since it s mainly a takeout place there isn t much atmosphere but I am definitely coming back for more chicken and soju!
Highly recommend their stone pot bibimbap. Excellently presented. Smush up the rice against the sides and theyll crisp up nicely as the meal progresses. Bowl stayed hot til the end. Great quality for the price.
A quiet place but amazing food and service. They off variety of options and have daily specials to eat. I ordered the Gimbap and it was rich in flavor and fills you up. Also get the kimchi its house made! Food : 5/5
Have had both take out and dine in here - great fresh food each time and flavors are perfect, keep it up!
Locally brewed makgeolli called Vanmak is super freshly served here. My recommended picks at this restaurant are the cupbaps. Gimbap and tofu kimchi are slightly disappointing. Chicken was pretty good for its price range - great considering there arent any other Korean fried chicken places nearby in Brentwood.
Great food, great service!! Vegetarian options: Vege options are available Parking: Parking available at Madison centre
A great little place to get authentic Korean food. I especially enjoyed their gimbap and Bulgogi Bibimbap.
I entered this restaurant for the first time and I am completely amazed with it. It may a quiet place but the food here was terrific. Greatest recommendation is the chicken combo. Very delicious .
Okay. Their foods tastes good with very clean and quite atmosphere. The only thing disappointed me was that there s mismatch between price and quantity. $17.9 for spicy seafood noodle with small portions, at least less than any other Korean restaurants, the price even higher than others. Also the bibimbap, I ve never seen such a small portion Also recommend to provide an accurate spicy levels since the spicy seafood noodle I ordered was super spicy rather than less spicy level.
Great food and service. This is one of my go-to places for great food in the area! Recommend the cup-bops, rice cake soup and the spicy cold noodle, but thats all Ive tried so far. I also get Kimchi here. The radish Kimchi is a favorite. Staff are really friendly too!
The food is very delicious, it is clean, and the staff are very friendly. To be honest, I didnt expect much from the taste of the food, but I was surprised at how delicious the Jjambbong and seasoned chicken were. One thing that is disappointing is that the quantity is too small for the price.
Ordered some take out and came back for more. Nice and quiet place with delicious food and kind staff. They have a nice assortment of items on their menu, and drinks too! I plan on getting some home made kimchi next time.
I was passing by after eating somewhere else and saw the tteokbokki menu that I liked, so I went in out of curiosity and it was really delicious. Ive been living here for about a year and I couldnt find anything that gave me that spicy and spicy taste that I miss so uniquely in Korea, but this is the best restaurant of my life haha I got this feeling in Korean. I think it can be best expressed in Korean, so Im leaving it in Korean on the Google review^^ Ill come again haha.
Delicious food with a caring atmosphere. Will happily eat here again when visiting the mainland
I was happy to have enjoyed my favorite korean dishes tteok-bokki with kimchi and gimari so close to home. Thanks for great friendly service and good korean food.
Decent gimbap and fried chicken! The set menu has good value with side dishes and a soup.
Fast service and tasty food. Highly recommend the House Gimbap. Crunchy texture paired with fresh flavours.
Only good affordable healthish food in Brentwood
The restaurant was really clean. I really enjoy the food and loved home-made kimchi! The waitress was super nice and kind. I will definitely visit again!
It was soooo good. Corndog and Honey Butterfries are the best!! And make sure to add kimmari to tteokbokki and try it! Wonderful And the server welcomed me with a very kind and bright smile, so I want to visit again :)
Best Korean restaurant in town!
We live close to this place and there aren t many Korean restaurants in the area so we decided to try this place. Our favourite was the soy garlic chicken. Cooked really well and juicy. The portion of rabbokki was huge! It was a little too spicy for me so it would have been nice if there were options for choosing level of spiciness. The kimbop was super fresh and tasted guilt-free which was nice since the other two menus we chose were well seasoned. Looked like they had a variety of drink options for both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, including Korean rice wine made locally. Highly recommend! The service was super friendly. They mentioned that there are special deals on Mondays.
Delicious chicken. Delicious frosty beer. Enjoy
Very good food, friendly service, and clean and organized restaurant. Highly recommended!
The amount of carrots in the gimbap is ridiculous Small amounts of tuna in gimbap Food
Very cozy authentic Korean street style restaurant! I ordered a pork belly kimbob and tteokbokki. I loved how big the kimbob was rolled and there was variety and balance of ingredients in the kimbob in my opinion. I also enjoyed the tteokbokki. It was spicy enough and I liked that the served the boiled egg, which is served traditionally. I personally would have liked to have more fish cake in the dish. TI remember growing up in Korea, traditionally, the rice cake to fish cake ratio in tteokbokki is 7:3 ratio, even slightly closer to 6:4 ratio in some cases. Overall I was happy to eat some good Korean food and Ill definitely be back !!
Honestly a hidden gem , very delicious Korean culinary prepared by real Korean chef!!. Ambience is so cozy, service offered by IRENE was very courteous, diligent and friendly . Although we are living in the surroundings, but always it will be a first time, and it will not the last, We had half boneless chicken, Jjusam Bulgogi and a chicken combo , all very delicious, generous portions and affordable dishes. Our Molson Canadians was at the right temperature . Strongly recommended!!!
My partner and I come here often and love it. The food is fantastic and the service is great. We will continue to keep coming back!
The gimbap here is impressively large and packed with flavor. The use of ceramic plates and stainless steel cups makes me want to give an even higher rating. The chicken is delicious too. Highly recommended! Food : 5/5
Awesome fried chicken. Was forced to go again to order in two days because it was so yummy! Wait staff ladies were also super polite, friendly and attentive. When I dropped a chop stick she brought a replacement before I picked the one off the floor. All with a smile. Very good value for money. Highly recommended
Great food, so many items we wanted to try and best of all, the kids liked the food. Will be back. Thanks
My favorite place for gimbap!
We came in because the pho across the street had a huge line up. Definitely very impressed with the quality of the food. Draft beer was served with in a pint with a layer of frost. The honey butter chicken was so delicious and made with dark meat which is so much juicer than white . Will definitely come back for the honey butter chicken.
Overprice for what you get. 99% sure they subbed in Costco deep fried pork (charged $30 for). Rest of the containers were half full aside from the chicken. In terms of quality, chicken was awesome, rest was good to above average. Won t return.
Service is good and food is good as well
Must visit Korean restaurant in Brentwood! Clean environment, great services, most importantly amazing food! Fresh and tasty. Highly recommend it!
