Had dinner at Acqua Restaurant with my family and had a really great time. The service was excellent, Dennis, our server was attentive and super accomodating. They also had live music and Gelo Granados was energetic, full of life and soulful. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend this place.

Food was good and service polite, but 50 min wait in between appetizers and main course. And why would you charge $5 for extra sauces without telling us in advance, since the amount of sauce given was insufficient to enjoy the meal.

Our server Victoria was amazing. - Nice smile and great service! Great food and selection of beers. Went there for happy hour and would recommend to visit!

This is our new favorite restaurant and we live in Richmond. The food and drinks are awesome, great cook. We usually get Rachel as our server, great service and very knowledgeable. The patio is a really nice area shaded by umbrellas and a firepit as well with comfortable seating. Last night we went for Prime Rib special and it did not disappoint. The manager pulled up a chair to chat with us, didnt recall his name but very friendly gentleman. Weve had the pleasure to try their Prime Rib special on Wednesdays a few times already, it comes with so much food and a huge cut of prime rib, I have to pack half home, for $32 cant beat that. The grade of prime rib is very good as it melts in your mouth. I usually call Wednesday afternoon to reserve prime rib as most restaurants run out after 7 pm. We usually cant get there after work until after 7 pm, just so we are guaranteed. Weve also tried the set menu $45 and it was awesome. Wild boar poutine, surf and turf short rib and creme Brule, all was delicious. We will have to try their Thursday pasta set menu $42 - $45, manager gave us a sneak preview and its going to be hard to choose, lots of dish options. Theres entertainment I believe on the weekends, we usually go Saturday evenings. The entertainers are great but a bit loud if you want to have a conversation Saturday white or red sangrias are $8, and theyre yummy. You guys are awesome, keep up the good work. I want to take your cook home....lol. Lots of free parking, just register your license plate at the lobby far right youll see a clipboard.

Came here for happy hour. A toss up between Cactus and here. Really depends what youre looking for. Food is definitely good and dependable. One rotating tap and a sun drenched patio. Cactus has a more modern feel with a younger staff and louder music. The demographics are split but definitely worth coming here if you prefer the low key vibe.

Menu and pictures online look good but the food is a different story. The prawn rigatoni was flavorless and the pasta was very chewy. The farm chicken dish was dry and the veggies were way over cooked. I couldnt eat more than half of the pasta it was so bad and I let the waiter know. They did nothing. No discount on the bill even though I shouldnt have been charged at all. We wont be back.

Came here to eat with my 2 friends, we got 3 appetizers but the wings were not up to par. The flats were fine but when I bit into a drumstick it was raw inside, the veins were still red and I could taste raw chicken. I told my server my chicken was raw, she didnt really believe me, proceeds to go to the kitchen. Comes back and tells me that the kitchen told her its meant to be like that. She insisted that it was not raw but I know what I taste. After she came back I asked if we could just get a new set of wings because the rest of my party did not feel comfortable eating from the same plate where there was raw chicken. Eventually she took the wings then gave us a new one. The new ones were fine since I asked if they could cook it for extra 2 minutes. I ended up throwing up the whole weekend. Had to visit a clinic for them to tell me, I got food poisoning. This was the only place I got food from this weekend, nowhere else. I also want to add that no manager ever came to check in on us like most places do. Im very disappointed about this place since it was recommended. Definitely not coming back and contacting the public health bc.

Our recent visit to Acqua Restaurant left much to be desired. We had an event of more than a 100 people in attendance in the Hotel on March 24 and several group of us made reservations a week before the event. Despite of that the service was very slow and inattentive, and lack of staff. Our event finished 8:00 and our food was served 2 hours later at 10:00pm. Despite the high prices, portion sizes and taste were also not that impressive. Overall, Acqua Restaurant and Bar fell short of expectations, offering poor value for money. I do not recommend it.

We saw their prime rib Wednesday on Instagram, so we made reservations for April 17 at 7:15pm. The prime rib Wednesday was also advertised on the table. However, we were disappointed to hear that theyve ran out of prime rib for dinner service. They had a set menu which some of us ordered. There was an accident with one of the mains, which happens. Server then placed my plate down and pushed so it made my fork that had a piece of steak fell. She apologized and said she would be back with another fork. 5 mins past, there was no fork as I saw her doing Server duties. I had to ask someone else for a fork. Fish was mediocre. Steak was decent. The caramel dessert was good. We had a baby with us and staffs said there were no washrooms in the hotel that had a baby change table. Overall, it was a less than satisfactory experience.

The staff are really friendly and attentive. The food and drinks are priced well, especially the happy hour! They have a live band Saturday evenings. A hidden gem!

I have celebrated my birthday dinner mar 02. We like the foods , so good...the service is wonderful...our Server is Mr. Dennis.he was a perfect server . Considerate person.

We ordered Brussel sprouts dish as the starter and it was 90% burnt. The music was too loud and not matching the dinner vibe. Also, We were not finished with our dessert and we didn t ask for the bill. But the person who was helping us just came with the bill and the machine while we were eating! We really didn t expect that!

I was just there 2 days ago, your chef doesn t know how to cook a medium rare prime rib, all the food on the table lack seasoning or flavours, mussels and calamari are not fresh, you can taste the after taste of a bad seafood. Back to prime rib 10oz, I asked for a medium rare and got medium close to well done, I asked to be cooked again. Second one, to my surprise only took 5 minutes to fire up, knowing for a fact, it take at least 6-7 plus rest time total time of 12 minutes at least to cook a 10 oz prime rib, and my curiosity was spot on, your chef gave me a rare steak. It was funny how he tried to cover it by putting a lot of au jus to it, thinking I wouldn t notice it. By touch I can tell right away it was rare. For a 50 dollars steak, the plating presentation was sad, looked like a banquet food for 200 people. A scoop of mashed potatoes, vegs in the center and steak on front with a lot of au jus. Btw your chef came to the table to give his reasoning why he gave me an overcooked and rare steak, he told me he was having a hard time cooking it because it was fresh and not aged lmao . Anyways I wouldn t be coming back to this pub, cause honestly the place feel like a pub and the food taste like pub food. It s funny how your ad show up to my instagram, cause this customer ain t interested lol.

Great food! We had the Dine Out menu and all the items are nice and tasty. They also have a good kid menu which in fact is very tasty too. Outstanding service too! They often refill our water and check if we are ok. Super friendly and funny. We had an awesome night. Definitely will go back.

Came for dine out. One party member was running late. They let me change my reservation for 30 minutes later. The service was great. The manager Matthew made sure we were taken care of. The food was great. Good portions and bonus servings not shown on the online dine out. Great value for dine out!

Tried this restaurant for the first time for Dineout Vancouver 2023. Their offering was a four course menu including an appetizer, amuse bouche, main course, and dessert. The atmosphere was quite mellow, and the regular menu had plenty of choices. Servers were courteous, and the newly renovated space was clean and modern. Would definitely go again and try regular menu!

Very unhappy with the way we were treated there. We went there to celebrate my mother s birthday and we brought a cake with us. I dropped off the cake with the waitress and she put it in the fridge right away. She was the only one working that night and there was also another man who seems to be the manager. He was wearing chef attire but working either at the bar or talking to customers. We had dinner, which was all just mediocre. I ordered French onion soup and mussels with garlic butter. The soup was good but the mussels were completely overcooked and very very salty. When we finished all our food the waitress ask me if she could bring out the cake. I said yes. A while later the manager guy brought the cake out, put it on the side table, came to our table and said, in his own words: you can t have your cake here. if you could have told me earlier instead of walking in with a cake like this, we could have gotten the cake to the chef and they could check and approve it. He was holding onto my chair and using a mocking tone when talking to us. While we understand that some places doesn t allow outside food, we were very unhappy of how they handled the situation. The waitress who know we had the cake somehow did not know of this rule and did not inform her manager, and the manager basically blamed us for not telling them that we had a cake. I have never been to any other places that would treat their customers like that. I will never go back to this place. I would have given a zero star if that is an option.

Fantastic spot for happy hour.....calamari is amazing. Patio looks like the perfect place for sunny weather outdoor dining. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Nice and relaxing place with great staff for Happy Hour

My husband booked this restaurant for my birthday dinner with my friends. As we go there we informed them it was birthday party for 10 people. I ordered coke the server brings me Coke Zero saying it s coke even though I m showing him the can which says Coke Zero anyways it got fixed. We had to call waitress and saying we all are ready to order. Before ordering we mentioned how bills gonna be split among other people. We had to wait more than 1.5 hours for our food to get ready. Such a slow and pathetic service .we keep on asking how long our food is goona be they saying 5 mins 10 mins this that. They brought food but we have to ask for cutlery and keep on asking for condiments as they should ask and give us. We asked them to bring the cake now they are asking me wat that cake was for. I m like seriously. The food was overpriced and small portions but the service should have been better but was worst. I would never ever go to this place again. After we paid we had our stuff at the table my birthday gifts and stuff our friends were sitting and the waitress comes up to them saying you guys have to leave because we are closing it was just 5 mins up of their closing time. We spent around $500 in total at that restaurant. My friends got really upset how we were treated. Better train ur employees how to deal with customers..

Naang the server was all smiles!! James was very entertaining!! These two complimented each other well!! I also like checking out the bathroom and it was spotless! Love it!! Coming back again!! The food was great, we had breakfast here every morning of our stay and never had a bar meal. One of the servers in the bar area is a bit of a loud, arrogant gent... I could use other words to discribe him, however on the whole the staff are friendly, one thing we did find though is that if you book bed and breakfast, only certain things on the menu are available, which was fine except that seemed to change dependant on who the server was, 2 morning we were offered the express breakfast inclusive of our room price and 2 morning we were told after we ate it that it was chargeable as an extra, even when we asked specifically for clarification the 2nd morning. It was all sorted out, but worth bearing in mind and worth checking when you are ordering.

We went to this restaurant last night. We had a reservation for 4. When we arrived, it took at least 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence. We initially ordered drinks, which took at least 10 minutes to arrive. We then ordered our food. Two plates came out and the other two did not come for at least 10 minutes. We even asked if they would be coming soon. No apologies were given for the delay. The first meals were getting cold by the time the other meals arrived. Overall the food was fine, but nothing special. One person ordered the mussels dinner, which she was looking forward to. She described the broth as being extremely salty. My husband confirmed that it was very salty. When the waitress asked how the meals were, the person stated that the mussels were very salty and the waitress may want to mention this to the cook. The waitress later came back and said the cook said that no salt had been added to the mussels. Again, absolutely no apology was given and regardless of whether or not salt was added, the mussels were extremely salty? Overall, this was an extremely odd meal at a restaurant that we will not be attending again. The service was poor and the food was underwhelming.

I order the Steak and it came with only onions and mushrooms. At 39.00 you would think it would have a vegetable and potato on the plate. For the price I would not recommend. The steak was fatty. Host was rude when we arrived.

Service was terrible. I was there with two other friends for happy hour last Friday. Waiter messed up on 2 of the drinks order. My friend ordered a peach cooler drink. She got pear. I ordered a non alcoholic drink. The waiter brought me an alcoholic drink. He made a mistake. Fine. But when the bill came, I was charged the alcoholic drink. I had already paid but decided to double check the bill 10 minutes later, just in case. I showed the bill to the waiter. He looked surprised, walked away with the bill. Came back and offered to pay the $6 cash for the difference of $14-$8. No apologies. What about the tax & tip already paid? There were more service issues, but thats enough for us. We are not coming back.

The family went there for Mothers Day. For $75 each we got: 1. Argue with staff to not be seated in a dark corner at the bar. 2. Left over food from the previous seating - cold and dry. 3. Walk over to staff to get coffee and drinks. 4. Have staff drop a plant on our table that spilled - accidents happen. 5. Forced to pay 16% gratuity for staff who probably wish they were somewhere else. 6. Dessert was from the supermarket. 7. Eggs at the omelette station were from a carton box and not fresh. Oh, I paid the same for a Michelin restaurant on Valentines day.

We were there to celebrate my nieces bday, we had a party of 10, we all arrived within a couple mins of each other and the waiter took our drink orders as we arrived, I guess my dad also gave him his dinner order, so as we were looking at the menu deciding what to order sipping on our drinks the waiter gives my dad his entree before anyone has even ordered our food. And when our food did come out it was sporadic. One dish here, a couple here, 10mins later here. The food must have been under the heat lamp forever, my wife s lettuce on her burger looked and felt like it was deep fried the burger was all dried out. I had the sablefish, the bed of rice and bok choy looked and tasted like it was leftovers from yesterday, all the vegetables in all the dishes looked old or waaaaay over cooked, and the sablefish was very fishy and didn t seem fresh at all. Don t know why all the food was sitting under heat lamps bc we were basically the only table there, my daughters salmon was over cooked and the cauliflower mash literally tasted like play dough. This place would get 0 stars if it wasn t for one of the waiters that was so friendly and hilarious so I gave it 1.

Really enjoyed the food here, especially the spicy peri peri chicken! The desserts were also lovely. The waiter, Dennis, provided great service.

I dip into this place from time to time. It s a great club with a huge deck. It s one of my favourite spots to dance. Just thinking about this place makes me wanna go. Actually I kinda wanna go to Club Haunted House more than I wanna go to Acqua. Edit: For those wondering, I built the deck at Acqua, so now I get in.

Changing my review to 1 star because of change of management and price on happy hour. Not worth going for happy hour since the price is like regular price. Plus going as a group, manager/server did not tell us gratuity is included on the bill. Shouldnt you mention that to the group when you order and when you get your bill?? Very shady I say

This place is false advertising. In the photos, it advertises it to be an upscale restaurnt with live music so I booked this for a girls night out. When I arrived, its all seniors and kids were throwing birthday parties. Nothing wrong with that, but dont advertise in a way where its geared towards to be upscale for younger crowds in 20s and 30s. Luckily Cactus club was nearby so we went there instead.

Excellent Service from Comfort and Rachel. Ordered a burger but the meat was dry. The dessert was to die for, solo delicious. Kid-friendliness: I would say the place is dog friendly.

At first glance, the restaurant was good, as we were seated all you could hear were the kids screaming in the pool next door. I ordered the rigatoni, tasted like something straight out of a pasta jar, at least the sauce. there was a seafood bowl that my mother ordered, and everything was super bland, absolutely no flavour. The lamb dish has just been drenched in bbq sauce and only tastes like bbq. Do not recommend coming here. Everything tastes like it s been frozen, prepackaged and disgusting. The cake at the very end was like a solid brick. Overall horrible place aside from the service and interior.

The staff are very accommodating. Food we ordered were superb! All the pasta dishes we ordered were nicely seasoned and of good consistency. I highly recommend Acqua, we ll come back the next time we think of dining out.

Nice happy hour with great prices and wonderful cocktails and culinary . The professional service offered by Naang was outstanding . Naang is very friendly and very customer service oriented. Was great to chat with her. As usually the ambience is very cozy and even the manager is very hospitable . All menu is great and prices for wine and cocktails are very affordable . It was our first visit , but for sure will not be the last . It is a hidden gem in Burnaby North . It is a gorgeous place , so comfortable and spacious with lovely decor. For us, fortunately located around the corner of our home. We had a blast with the great , courteous, diligent and impecable service offered by Rachel during today s HAPPY HOUR. Prices are super affordable and portions quite generous . The menu has a lot of alternatives . White wine and rum were very well served and presented . We had Wagyu Carpaccio as full chicken wings both very delicious !!!! For sure we will return pretty soon!!!!

We had a great experience when we had dinner at this restaurant. Amazing staff, great manager, good food (I had the steak and my husband had the salmon) and the Saturday entertainer (Mayo L.) was a bonus. We will definitely go back with other friends!

Excellent food and service

Rachel was wonderful! She made our short stay wonderful. Enjoyed the singer/entertainer s soft sounds. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Food is alright, fairly large portions albeit slightly simple. But the happy hour here is probably the best in burnaby. Full pints of fatty Ts for like, 7$. 2 or 3 of those and youll be quite ripe. Bartenders are also good company.

I went to Acqua for my work Christmas dinner. The food was cold, to the extent that it seemed like someone refrigerated the bun of the burger I ordered before it came out. We were asked when the food should be served, but none of it came out at the same time. I know having everything ready at the same time for large groups is hard but some people s entrees were very late which was a bit awkward. It was also difficult to flag people down to order a drink. I think maybe the experience would have been better on another day / night. There was a band doing a very loud soundcheck. It seemed like the restaurant had overbooked, as my office Christmas party was on one side of the room and another Christmas party took up the entire other half of the room. The other party had microphones and were very loud, sharing very intimate stories and also sang the national anthem. I think it would have been better if the restaurant had done a buy-out for the other party, rather than saying yes to my work s dinner on the same night.

The breakfast which is included with your stay which has two options is not that great. 1. one pancake w/fruit 2. scrambled egg, choice of bacon / sausage and hash brown w/toast. * If you ask for sunnyside, boiled, over easy it costs $2 extra any egg. The scrambled only egg option is horrible, the egg is poured from a carton with mainly yolks and tastes water with very little actual egg taste. Thats why it costs the price of a carton CHEAP Also, only one slice of toast. Every other place you eat gives you two slices. As for the dinner menu. Whats up with that ??? The name refers to water which is seafood, but they have a holy confusion mess !! You have mussels w/fries, BBQ St Louis style ribs, western style chicken breast, butter chicken, Italian pasta dish, lamb dish, and wild salmon dish. Choose one cuisine and stick with it ! Way over priced.

Brilliant food and great service.

Came here for Dine Out Vancouver and was not disappointed! The bartender/host was very friendly and since the restaurant was not very busy, he let me have my pick of table. The escargot was delicious, the butter herb sauce really complimented it. The seabass was absolutely amazing, the skin was nice and crispy and it had a melt in your mouth texture. I will definitely be coming back here again!

Always a good time here. Bartender for happy hour was really lovely and kind. Made sure we are taken care of. I hoped I got her name. Valentines menu was a blast as well, although I felt like the Granita was sort of a cheat, making it part of the 6-course menu. The server forgot 1 of our wine pairings, as we made our way through our course so they just made sure we had a little bit more for our next glass to make up for it. Overall, great service and made sure we are taken care of - thats the theme of this quiet little restaurant bar in Burnaby. We went for happy hour (before checking in as guests of the hotel) but our vaccine passports were not checked. Surprised about that, but I let it go. Will not let that affect the rating though. Maybe a simple question of Are you guests of the hotel? If not, then check the passports.

It was my first time at Acqua Restaurant and the hostess was friendly. She advised that there was half hour until the end of happy hour so we could take advantage if we desired. The service was okay with our server and only wished he repeated our orders. Onwards about their food. We had individual entrées of spaghetti bolognese, butter chicken and seafood pasta. I had seafood pasta and unexpectedly it was quite cheesy.... too much parmesan that I didnt enjoy much of the seafood and dish was overly salty. Protein was cooked well but its flavour was lost in all the cheese. A simple white wine sauce with butter and garlic would have made it tasty...yes please!

I really enjoyed the experience I had today at Acqua rite from the greeting to food absolutely amazing. Adam was brilliant made me feel so comfortable and he was totally entertaining. The food was absolutely fantastic. Would definitely be going there again and totally reccomend it.

Weve visited Acqua Restaurant a few times during Happy Hour and dinner and have not been disappointed. The Wagyu Carpaccio and Surf and Turf are totally delicious. Rachel is not only an amazing bartender but a fantastic server. Thank you Rachel for being so lovely!

Manager was rude to staff and other guests while being overly polite to us. Food was average and felt over priced. 1 and done. I would suggest going to the nicer Joey Burnaby up the road or Cactus Cafe across the road. Much better service, atmosphere, and food there.

Food was acceptable for the price, but our server was snide, walked off several times while we were trying to talk to him, micro transgressions all night long. Even basic requests like splitting the bill was ignored. Our friends and I all agreed that we would not go back again.

A quiet place to chill and enjoy IPA

One of my least favourite restaurants. Server didn t seem to know what he was doing. Not sure if he was in training or brand new in the industry but the least u could do is have the table set up. Right when we got seated we didn t even get our utensils, we had to ask for it and we kept having to ask for things over and over. Server never really checked up on our table. Service was VERY slow even though the restaurant was completely empty. Took forever to get our food. When the food came, I thought it was eh. Definitely not worth the wait. Not sure who it was but it was a bigger and older worker (could be the manager) was walking around and I found him a bit odd. He would go around and talk to tables for a uncomfortably long time and would just sit and stay around. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

Great service! Nice place to relax, enjoy your dinner and to be able to actually hear your company. We went during the August long weekend, also Pride weekend, so the both times we went there, it wasnt that busy. We ordered the Perri Perri chicken, it came with veggies and wedges. It was delicious, but they could have sprung a bit and put a few more wedges on there. ( I think there were 6). Good thing we had the brussel sprouts (a must try) and onion soup (also, delicious) My daughter and I shared all this, so I didnt eat this all by myself Also note: the brussel sprout dish is a lot smaller during Happy Hour. Room service - $15 for a Caesar salad that was half the size of a bagged PC salad from Superstores and silty lettuce and bitter flavour. Not the worst I have had but a very close second. Do Not waste your money on their salad! The other meal was tastey according to partner.

Visited Acqua Sat Sept 17, 2022 for a MOST ENJOYABLE DINNER the lamb shank was scrumptious, the ambiance great and both servers were simply excellent. We highly recommend this fabulous place!

We had a group of 16 that were seated in 2 tables. To ease the service, the food selection was done ahead of time and the wait staff spent time determining who was sitting where (and confirming what each diner ordered). Had the 2-course feature menu with the beet, orange & goat cheese salad (refreshing and nice flavours), and sizzling steak frites. The meat was done well at medium rare. With the veggies and fries, it was very filling. The West Coast Blacken Salmon was colorfully plated and quite delicious. Satisfying experience and the waiter was very jovial. The restaurant was not too busy on a Monday evening, so a nice environment for a larger gathering.

This cozy restaurant has left the very best impressions! We celebrated my twin daughters birthday today and the servers made us feel so special. Mathew welcomed us and provided us with unmatched Excellent Service together with Roger, they did exactly what I requested. They served us with scrumptious dishes, lovely presentation, broad wine record and fantastic dessert. I will definitely recommend them to everybody! Acqua Restaurant is now our favorite restaurant and we will definitely visit them again.

Absolutely fabulous experience! The starters, mains, and desserts were all exceptionally tasty and interesting as well as attractively presented. Servers were witty, friendly and attentive. Musicians added to a lovely ambiance.

We loved Happy Hour recently. Came back today with family for a Thanksgiving 3 course that was reasonably priced and we all found it absolutely outstanding. Well be coming back there a lot, from Kitsilano. Well worth the drive or Skytrain trip.

Got room service dinner one night while staying at the hotel. Our kid loved the big plate of kids mac n cheese, Caesar salad was good as well as the chicken avocado burger with fries. Chicken strips were just okay.

The 3 of us came here for happy hour and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is tucked up the hill inside the Executive Hotel. It is nice and quiet where the only noise you hear when sitting in the patio are fellow restaurant goers and hotel guests. The happy hour menu is decent for both drinks and food. Prices are reasonable as well. The customer service feels like the approachable service we used to have years ago. The decor appears to be stuck in the age of the approachable service, but I personally dont mind the nostalgia. We will definitely come back again.

Came here for a work dinner and had a really nice meal. Their Christmas menu is really good right now! The staff are friendly and the space is very clean. It s a great spot that isn t noisy or crowded. Free parking for diners. I got the Turkey dinner with butternut squash soup and it was perfect.

My hubby and I dined at the new Acqua Restaurant + Patio + Bar for Happy Hour yesterday. We sat outside on their lovely patio. We ordered 2 types of chicken wings, Parmesan fries and drinks. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I had craft beer, (Parrrallel 49 lager) my new favourite beer. It was only $5.00. We had an awesome time and the staff were polite, friendly and very professional. Thank you Jessica and Nirmal for making the experience awesome. You will see a lot of us!

We tried the duck and seafood pasta and loved it! Plenty of seafood in the pasta and tastes very fresh. Duck was cooked perfect and the sauce paired great with it!

Ive changed my review from 2 stars to 5 stars following my latest visit. The food was excellent and my experience very different from my first visit. I was invited back to Acqua and came during dinner time. They currently have a promo for 50% off an appy when you order an entree so that was timely. The complimentary parking is always a plus. Acqua recently revamped their menu and I was pleased to see a larger menu selection. For food, I tried the calamari, the acqua burger, lamb shank and full pork ribs. The burger was my favorite while the meat for the other dishes was very tender and fall off the bone delicious. Our server, Rachel, was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great dinner experience. My greatest concern with my last visit was also addressed as they checked for the vaccine passport and ID at the front. Being a restaurant with ample seating, it would have been preferred if other tables were seated at least a table apart from others but this is a minor gripe since they still checked vaccination status at the front. I have no reservations about returning back to Acqua and will definitely have to try their happy hour next time! ------------------------------------------------------ OK but hard pressed to come back considering Cactus Club is next door. The wagyu carpaccio was decent but quite salty. The seafood garganelli pasta was underseasoned and came with penne instead of garganelli. The frites with the mussels (which were overcooked) came 10 minutes later only after we had to remind the server. However, biggest issue was that no one checked our vaccine cards or IDs nor anyone that followed after us. Fortunately, only 3 tables including us in a spacious room but that to me is a dealbreaker for future meals.

I was greeted within less than 2 minute upon arriving. Waitress was super nice and polite. The chef came to meet us at the table. Checked if everything was good. They accommodated our requests and they even gave us free dessert for our occasion. Prices was reasonable. Great environment ,great people and good food. 5 start all day.

Being a guest in the hotel attached to this restaurant, I had the continental breakfast and it was good. It offered the typical items you would find at a hotel breakfast - eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toast, fruit, etc.

Excellent food, service, athmosphere. We came for Dine out and I was skeptical as its located as part of the hotel Executive Inn, but we gave it a chance and were not dissapointed at all. The place is nice, even tho it was busy, the service was efficient, fast and friendly. The food was super delicious and portions were generous with excellent flavour. And on top of it live piano music on a saturday night. Will totally come back.

Went to their dine out event and tried the tuna salad, cauliflower soup, New York steak and veal, plus the chocolate cake and strawberry cheesecake. Everything was quite good. I preferred the tuna salad to the soup, as the tuna salad was more bursting with flavor. The steak and veal both had a good serving portion, but I enjoyed the veal more in terms of taste. I liked that the veal came with the bones and marrow. Only complaint is that the mains could be a bit more hot. The desserts were good but more ordinary. Ambience was lacking a bit as the restaurant was quiet and there wasnt piano as advertised. Overall solid food for dine out with good taste and portion size. The waitress told me the parking is free at Executive Inn with no need to validate.

The entire restaurant was empty when we arrived and when we left after lunch. We were the only table! A server just reported to work when we arrived. Service was alright. Poor execution of mediocre food quality.

There are very few vegan options on the menu but the kitchen is willing to make something.

Their dine out Vancouver menu had a good selection of items. Appetizer was a choice between soup or seafood salad. Entree was either chicken , salmon or steak. For dessert you can choose between cheesecake or creme brulee. All were very filling and tasty! The servers were warm and quick to provide necessities, and a live piano music capped our relaxing dinner ambiance. Recommendable for a dinner date!

They now have a $10 all day menu where any dish is $10 each! Good portion and gets you full.

Poor service staff very rude to people coming in telling them they have to be seated, when there is no signs posted stating that. Server did not even know what table food and drinks were going to. And to top it off as i was trying to order and drink the server walked away. Very unprofessional and unpleasant experience, well never go back i miss the old restaurant that was here. That actually knew what customer service is.

Im not even sure where to start with this one. We had a reservation for a group at 11 AM - when we arrived they werent ready for us, but they didnt tell us that at first. They sat us, then fifteen minutes later made us move. Then 10 minutes later asked us to move again to some fold-out tables theyd set up. They were very (very) tight and uncomfortable. They werent polite about it either. Then the person who seemed to be in charge came to each table and asked us gruffly if we were having the buffet - a few of us said we werent sure yet, and he told us wed have to leave if we werent eating. Then I tried the food. There was an omelette bar which was pretty good, but everything else was thoroughly disappointing. The fish dishes tasted old, and the lunch entrees had a pretty meh quality to them. Im not really sure why this place is still open; for a $30 brunch buffet (plus 15% automatic gratuity) youd expect some pretty darn good service, and the food to be amazing. Definitely not what I experienced.

The restaurant was formerly Tivoli just so you dont get confused. I visited using Groupon and the value was amazing. The food was good, brough out on time. My appetizer of Calamari is right on, perfectly plated. My lamb shoulder is very tender and moist, I also love the turtle molten cake included in the dessert.

Came for the mothers day brunch. Pretty expensive for what you get but it was done well regardless. Service was also really good and attentive.

Recently renovated, excellent service, all 3 of us had meals from the $10 menu and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and portions for only $10. There was a musician playing the piano and singing. Really great experience. My husband had the burger, I had the butter chicken, and our daughter had the linguine carbonara. The butter chicken was flavorful, the presentation was beautiful. The linguine was delicious and filling. The burger was juicy and the bun was perfect. They have a good variety of beers on tap, good quality teas, and our daughter loved the Shirley Temple. We will absolutely be back!

Not impressed. Save your $10 and go to XSite bar and grill on Hastings. Much better food and bigger portions for the same price.

Not very good. We have tried to find time for 6 months to try this place, finally did and disappointed. Service was great and happy hour prices very good but food below average. Selection of happy hour items wasnt great, who does chick strips in a nice lounge and restaurant? We tried 3 of 5 items on the menu and all very unimpressive. Folks if youre doing a happy hour produce food that makes me want to come back for an elegant dinner. You had one chance to impress and you lost us. Go for drinks but dont go for the food.

The WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!!! The guy who picked up the phone answers Hello?! and when I asked if I can come at 10:30am for breakfast he said NO! and hung up without any other guidance. So I made reservation at 10am and he left very vulgar voice message saying Dont come at 10 we close at 10 so come at 9:30! Similar things have happened when I asked about weekend breakfast- they have the most inconvenient and confusing hours and they were SO RUDE, ILL MANNERED all the time. Cant wait to see him in person and talk to his boss about training their employees better. I cant believe the treatment I have received over the phone.

In the class of establishment that Tivolis lives, (3 star hotel upper end dinning), it excels. The food is nuanced and varied, but delicious. The staff was familiar and friendly without being overly familar.

The breakfast buffet was small, especially for the price. But my 5 stars are for the humble service we received. I suggest if you have good service to let them know your appreciation by leaving some extra change. I had booked our buffets through the hotel, but still left $5 on the table for our server when we were done.(He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and was prompt on refilling our coffees) The amount of gratitude he had for that tip was truly touching. It upset me to find out that he rarely gets tipped here. He understood a lot of people are preoccupied with whats going on in their lives, but that doesnt mean you cant appreciate the world around you. He shook our hands and thanked us immensely for our tip. I left feeling very humbled that I put a smile on that mans face. I didnt catch his name but he was working Saturday morning with the Asian server. (Both very attentive)

I wish there was a way to rate your restaurant a BIG FAT ZERO in terms of service! Ive only tried one of their pasta and it was pretty good and I had SkipTheDishes deliver it for me. So today I decided to order from SkipTheDishes again, but theyre being ridiculous and misleading. I could rant about SkipTheDishes another time. So not wanting to order from Skip, I decided to call the restaurant. When I asked about getting food delivered, the lady that picked up the phone said, Delivery? Me, Yes, delivery. Her, We dont DO deliveries. Her tone was very unpleasant and condescending and she put an emphasis on the word DO. What a VERY RUDE PERSON!!!! She failed to inform me that there is a food delivery service available. This employee was a lady and was working on July 2nd, 2016 at 5:53pm. Who ever you are, you shouldnt be working in the hospitality/restaurant industry where you constantly interact with people. I dont know how you got hired there. Dear restaurant/hotel, you will lose customers this way. Train your employees better!!! I am very unimpressed by this because she didnt have to be rude to me. I only asked for food delivery since I know SkipTheDishes does deliveries for your restaurant so OBVIOUSLY YOUR RESTAURANT DOES DELIVERIES!! Lady, how long have you worked there? How do you not know that Skip does your deliveries?

The restaurant staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is a pet friendly restaurant and hotel. The food was delicious and well priced. My friends and I were there 2 times in a two week period and the restaurant was consistent in its customer service and quality of food. I like the quiet and spacious ambiance and the upscale decor. They apparently have a good Sunday brunch so Im going to try that too. Stay tuned...

Ive never had Italian food like this. Actually, Ive never had food at a place where everything was outstanding. Sure I was hungry. But hangriness also brings out the cynic in me. The minestrone soup was the best I had; the arugrula salad on flatbread was delicious; the clam pasta with tomato sauce was amazing to the last bit of sauce; and the lamb shanks had the creamiest risotto. By the end of the meal, I was still hungry for more, and i felt I could do it all over again. Edit: dont come here for service, unless your servers name is Bela. Also, dont sit close to the kitchen. I dont know what goes on in there, but the one time we sat close to the kitchen there was a lot of aggressive shooting.

Sunday brunch is an absolute scam. They put out a sign saying $14.95 and a mediocre buffet and then charge you $25 and say you shouldve known. Terrible service, straight up con work.

My husband and I live in the area and have been to Tivolis a couple times for their Sunday brunch. We heard good things through friends and decided it would be a good idea to try out their dinner menu through purchasing a Groupon. With that said we made our reservations and arrived at the restaurant at 7 pm. The restaurant was quite busy. We were welcomed by a kind busboy who led us to our window seat and brought us water straight away. He was polite and efficient. We decided on having wine with garlic prawns and beef bites as our appetizers. We were greeted by our server Emilee who was a dear with her warm welcome and upbeat attitude. My husband had the steak medium rare which was the best he has ever had!! I had a very tender and well marinated lamb shank and pleasantly enjoyed every bite! A great meal all and all. The restaurant seemed well run and the customers looked happy and seemed to be enjoying themselves. The servers were busy and smiling. We were very impressed with the visit all the way through finishing up with tea, coffee, and croissant pudding for dessert. Yummy :) We received a sincere well delivered thank you and good night, leaving satisfied. Thank you Tivolis for a wonderful meal and great service! We will return.

Great atmosphere, great service, really good food. Had the BC Shrimp and Dungenous Crab Cakes, a bowl of Chowder and a craft beer - no complaints here!!
