Our server ignored us the whole night we first ordered drinks and waited for happy hour. it was my friends birthday we waved our server down multiple times just for her to turn her back and not even look in our direction until it was time to get the bill. Honestly I see why people go to the downtown locations and other areas because this location truly sucks.

Havent been to this location in years, looked updated. We were a large group, and our server Sophia was awesome - friendly, on point and went above and beyond. Food is always delicious, and great selection of cocktails, beer and wine. Vegetarian options: Yes, good options. Kid-friendliness: Cactus needs a much better kids menu, the spaghetti with butter sauce and parmesan is basic and lacks flavour. Get better menu options, need to be align with other restaurant chains. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

If you re not in a hurry this place would be good. But our group experienced a manager that couldn t care less we had reservations and restaurant wasn t ready for us and made us wait 20 minutes before we were seated unacceptable in my opinion especially because it wasn t busy Food

The tuna stack I got today does not taste like how it normally is. I think it s missing a certain sauce?? Usually there s a brown sauce and there s nothing. It s so bland. I also got only 6 wonton chips. Would be nice if there was a few more. My fish tacos and my husbands pasta was good though. Disappointed in this tuna stack as we always get it and was so happy it finally came back.

Booked a table for a special night. When arrived I waited 15 min as they were sorting out a table .?! Once seated (I asked for a table not in the middle of the floor) specifically change the hours to be able to get a table at the lounge section. We were seated in front of busy sports screens. After I complained (and ruined my date at that moment) the waitress started to argue and called in support - the manager, I was made feel like an arse and told that this is it - this is the lounge and was laughed at by the manager. I saw many empty tables with leather seats and pointed at them - and asked if I can seat over there, she goes away for 10 min to check reservations after 1 hour we are being still arguing about my response to this terrible experience. Drinks, well I don t know how they taste as I received one beer and not once saw the waitress afterwards. place is loud, staff doesn t care if you are thirsty and make sure it s not your first date .my was the last. What a tragic experience and rude service STAY AWAY .I would pay a $1000 to take that evening back.

I was really disappointed with my visit to Cactus. The service was incredibly slow, and the food didnt meet expectations. The ravioli was dry, and it took a long time for our waitress to check in. When she did, she offered extra sauce, which did help improve the texture a bit. The Caesar was watery and below average. The crispy chicken with pickles was overly greasy, with the oil flavor overpowering every bite. It seemed like the staff was more focused on preparing reservation tables than attending to diners. We finished our meals and had to wait a long time before anyone came by to take our next order or offer us another drink. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Despite tons of empty tables and enough staff roaming around, no one cared to offer any service.

I had been to Cactus twice and had great experiences on both occasions. Spacious seating, friendly & courteous staff, brilliant service with smiles all around, and delicious food with huge portions. Highly recommended.

So disappointed with the service we received at this location today. After being seated by the host, it took over twenty minutes for us to be acknowledged by staff (AFTER I had to request to be helped). I would be more understanding if the restaurant was busy, but this was not the case. We are regulars at Cactus, so this is super disappointing

The Cactus Club Cafe is a great place to grab lunch and catch up with friends. Great service is backed up by a solid menu that has a good selection including the fish tacos which I recommend. Find yourself in this part of Vancouver then I recommend a visit. Easy parking by the restaurant also.

Food and service was good. Server was friendly, her name was probably tiana. Sushi was delicious. Med bowl was also good.

The service tonight was exceptional. Jarrett was personable and attentive. Jarrett was quick to refill our drinks and kept a close eye on our table without being intrusive. Jarrett was just an all around great server and we enjoyed our meal tonight. If we could leave multiple good reviews about Jarrett s good service - we totally would (and no, we don t know Jarrett! Seriously, we aren t Jarrett s personal friends .we ve never met Jarrett before.). Now it seems like we ARE Jarrett s friends but we really don t know him. We just thought he was great. Thanks to Megan (or Maggie or was it Meghan? Or Meagan? ) for getting our pie tonight and for wrapping up the bill so quickly. Much appreciated. Thanks again, Jarrett.

I really love this new Goddess Green salad. Portion is huuuuge. Tried but still couldnt finish all of it.

I ordered take out a few days ago (Hot chicken+ Pickles) and the portion size was small. Loved the taste, but I believe it was a quick attempt at putting it together. I adore all cactus clubs and love the food, this was the the first time I was unhappy with the experience :/

I visited Cactus Club Cafe in Burnaby and made a reservation for 7:15 PM, but I wasn t seated until 7:50 PM. When I spoke with the manager, Elizabeth, about the delay, she was incredibly rude and dismissive, offering no apology and claiming that I had arrived late if I have talked to the front desk there since 7:10. I was very disappointed with the poor service and unprofessional attitude. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

I visited this cactus club with my 5 friends in noon time, before i thought about having reservations, but they dealt us very politely and gave us table in just 10 minutes, all were good service, food, behaviours, atmosphere. Their chipotle chicken tacos are delicious. Here specifically i wanna review our server her name is elizabeth she is having a great personality as she dealt us in such a very humble way.. thnaqq specially elizabeth

I just had a great night at cactus club. Food was great, drinks were great, ambiance was great. Dewa is an incredible server. Only down part to the night was the manager refusing to ring in a shepherds pie for me despite listing they have all the ingredients Ground beef, onion, peas, garlic, tomato paste, broth, potato and salt/pepper. Will still return despite this disappointment. Dietary restrictions: No Shepards pie?

As always, cactus club never disappoints. Every cactus Ive visited has been amazing so far. This specific cactus gives me weird vibes though, some of the staff seem unfriendly.

What an ATROCIOUS experience. Food was great but the person running the food DROPPED an entire ramekin of ketchup on my friend s white shorts. I understand accidents happen, but the manager came by to bring a towel and then never came back at all. We were really not offered any apology by anyone nor an offer to have his shorts dry cleaned. I understand that accidents happen but this is totally not the way to handle a situation like this. The least they could have done was say sorry. We were not expecting anything from the bill comped (which didn t happen anyways), but at least apologise and offer to pay for the dry cleaning. Totally unacceptable. I had higher standards for a company like this and I am so disappointed by how unprofessionally this situation was handled.

Came by for an early dinner with a reservation and had the most amazing time. I had been to another West Coast dining spot earlier in the day and I was quickly reminded why I always pick Cactus Club. Our server was super attentive and checked on us frequently. Loved her energy and she was a total gem. Also tried out the lemongrass noodle salad for the first time which was super tasty! Loved the vinegarette and was perfect for a summer day. The chicken had a weird frozen texture to it so next time maybe Ill try it with the prawns but overall great meal and will definitely be back!!

Excellent service at the bar from Nick and the other bartenders. The mezcal margarita and ceviche were amazing.

Yummy MEDITERRANEAN SALAD

The yam fries were a little bit dry and soggy. Lettuce was really fresh but the stir-fried chicken was salty. Carpaccio was fresh and go well with the cheese on top.

Although they were clearly busy, Marybel made sure that we were well taken care of.

The food is good albeit they have removed a few of our favorite dishes recently with the menu refresh, the service is hit or miss. Its always one extreme to the other. Either we leave talking about how good it was or how we couldnt believe how bad it was. As with all Cactus Clubs, know that youre going to spend a few bucks here. Parking: There is almost never any parking.

I love this location! The vibes are great and staff are nice. Some of the best girls are Elizabeth and Norah attentive, kind, respectful and take care of you from start to finish. Obviously their peach belinis & truffle fries are a must. Highly recommend this location for comfort, good service and importantly, parking :p

The bar tend wanted minimum 18% tip! For doing nothing! Typical gen z entitled staff, Is there even an adult in this restaurant running it? Should be closed for inspection the tap lines are so dirty they will give you the runs. Girls working here are not even of age. The bar tender will double charge you so be cautious of your bill. Portions of fries with strips are minuscule.

Celebrated a birthday and Anniversary at Cactus Club North Burnaby and the service and food was incredible! Drinks, starters and steaks were excellent and then they comped our drinks and desserts. Cactus Club is a class act and their staff are excellent (Thanks to mgr Taylor and our server Elizabeth). Kudos to chef Aleem and his team! They always impress! .

Every visit to Cactus Club Cafe has been an exceptional experience, thanks to the incredible service provided by Nick at the bar. From the moment you take a seat, Nicks warm and welcoming demeanor sets the tone for an enjoyable experience. Our office lunch meetings always take place at your restaurant. We are always guaranteed great food, service and atmosphere. I especially love the Soul Revival mocktail and suggest it to everyone.

Asked for tequila said it was 12 bucks a piece but when we asked for another she about 12 bucks again. I no Im good got the bill and it was 16 a piece basically she lied. I paid it anyways but Im not going there again.

Always enjoy going to cactus club to meet with friends. Food is always so good and always excellent service! The only thing that would make it even better is by bringing back the Bandera salad!!

Cactus Club offers a superb patio ambiance and outstanding customer service, but its not without its quirks. While weekends can get busy, making a reservation in advance ensures a seamless experience. However, its worth noting that during our visit, we noticed the patio wasnt cleaned properly, and we had to contend with pesky mosquitoes. Despite these minor inconveniences, Cactus Club remains the go-to spot for memorable moments and good conversation.

Came here for happy hour and they delivered! Good pricing on food and drinks, attentive service, and lively atmosphere. Overall, fun experience and will come back for dinner. They also have lots of TVs and screens, so good for watching the big game.

Karen was incredibly thoughtful!! She made my boyfriend I s date night so special and set such a great atmosphere in the few hours that we were there. She took the time to go over the wine list and gave great recommendations for food. The Wagyu carpaccio is amazing and we wouldn t have tried it otherwise! Can t wait for part 2!

Worst experience I ve ever had at a cactus. Had a designated reservation for 7:30 on the dot, we showed up earlier as well. Ended up getting seated around 7:53 What s the point of a reservation if you re gonna make us wait half an hour? That long unprecedented wait ruined the night because we had plans made for after dinner. On top of this, the service was terrible, after finishing our spicy fries, we waited nearly 15 minutes for a refill while our mouths were burning. We ended up getting up out of our seats and tracking down our server, that s the last thing you d expect from a restaurant with people designated to wait tables..

Spacious, modern and comfortable with many dining options

Cactus Club offers an excellent choice of appetizers and drinks for Happy Hour. A friend and I enjoyed a leisurely afternoon. The waitress was just great - friendly but not overbearing. The service was excellent. My friend and I both ordered from the happy hour menu and were pleased with our choices. I will be back!

In general, our food was great, like always. We go there almost every week. Unfortunately, this pas Fri 29 was my daughter 28th bday. She ordered a drink. The server at first asked for one piece of ID, and as soon she showed her Photo ID, she said, Would you have another ID to show your name only!!! WTH!!! If you need two pieces of ID, why dont you ask at first. She thought she was catching a thief in daylight I wish the manager could talk to them if they need to check ID, Please ask for both the same. :) Also, my wife chicken was taste burn this time. My choice was Med Bowl, which I think is a great idea for dinner. I also had sushi as an appetizer, and the taste was incredible.

Very disappointed with the quality and quantity of my order. I ordered the blackened creole chicken for take out first of all the did not provide any cutlery and secondly the portion I received compared to my colleagues that ordered the same was minimal at best (I ve never seen such a small chicken breast in my life) and full of fat was not edible had to go somewhere else and re order lunch. The lunch we ordered was also extremely late by about 20 min from the time they gave me.

On place that you can go after 9pm that most of the city is closed

It amazes me how cactus club can stay so consistent. I m various locations. The tuna stack was delicious and bright. The carpaccio was tender with the perfect amount of dressing, capers, and onions and of course, the famous chicken tenders were simply sublime. It s amazing how much joy you can get from eating perfect chicken strips - service from Alex was amazing.

My recent dining experience at Cactus in North Burnaby was utterly disappointing due to the terrible service provided by Melanie Harrison and Robert Federizo. The server spilled a drink on both myself and another patron and never apologized to me. Her lack of accountability, followed by rude behavior and blaming the other guest for moving her head while she was seated, was unacceptable. The manager, Robert, failed to address the situation when brought to his attention. Overall, the staffs condescending attitude left our group feeling unwelcome and frustrated. Avoid North Burnaby location until they address these glaring issues.

I m a Chinese customer. The reason why I want to write this complain is that me and my boyfriend considered we encountered potential racism in one of cactus s location, the specific address of the location is : 4219 B Lougheed Hwy., Burnaby, BC V5C 3Y6. On April 16th late night around 10:30pm, we want to dine in and have some food, after seated for 15 minutes, there was no one there to take our order, and we didn t get any water at all. There are waiter walking pass our table and serving the table next to us. People who seated later than us have their order and water to drink. As a loyal Cactus customer, this is a very disappointing experience that I have ever encountered. I m very unhappy about it. The girl at the front desk have a very careless attitude towards us. Of all the experiences that I have at cactus Metrotown, Cactus Downtown location are very satisfying experiences. I wish people who are working at the unsatisfying location should learn some manner and respect people.

I ve been in town for a week on a business trip, and the Cactus Club at 4219 Lougheed was walking distance from the hotel. Right from my first visit here the staff were all super friendly, welcoming, and fun! However, I really want to say a very warm and special sepas, merci, thanks, to Dewa!! Dewa was my server on more than one visit, and she just really made my night each time. She knows her menu well and made some great recommendations. As I am someone who can cook, I am cautious of ordering a steak dinner from some restaurants. When I asked Dewa about the steak dinners at the Cactus Club, after assuring me that they were decent, she told me her favourite was the Creole Steak & Prawns. After her description, I couldn t say no. I was not disappointed! Thank you Dewa! You made my Dinner visits lots of enjoyable fun, and I cannot tell you how much I appreciated all your great positive energy, kindness and fun. I don t know if/when I ll be back so I wish you all the happiness and success Dewa! and thank you for letting me practice my Farsi. Sepas, merci

The staff needs to learn how to manage time. At first they come and tell me to wait 5 minutes then again 5-8 minutes. After that again 12-15 min. Handed back me the order after 35 minutes. Coach back the back team as well as the front.

Arnaz was an amazing waitress, the local lager is so good and the Sangria is next level. Fair pricing too! P.S - The fries and chicken salad SLAPS Food

This was my third time dining here, and I can happily recommend the raincoast greens with salmon that I ve had twice, and the delicious Thai green curry with prawns that I had tonight. Drinks are great too (midnight express, whisky business, penicillin, and jalapeño marg are all top notch, well-balanced, fresh, and tasty). Mostly reviewing now so I can give a shoutout to Norah!! My friend was disappointed in a few temporary shortages tonight, and Norah unexpectedly swooped in to save our evening. Truly above and beyond. Much gratitude and appreciation to Norah and to our server, Atriana (sp?), for their kindness and dedication. You made our night thank you!! We ll definitely be back. :)

Service was not bad and the food tasted good. They accommodated some mistakes. Burgers are the good choice

My daughter and her friends went to this location for dinner, basically a group of 16 year olds. Upon paying the bill, they paid individually with one of them having to pay cash. Her tab came out to $93, and she paid with a $100 bill. The server asked if she wanted change back, which really shouldnt have been asked. If one pays more than the total bill, change should be given. The girl says yes to getting her change back, and the server responds, well, arent you going to tip?. I called the restaurant as soon as the kids got home and told me about this. One of the managers said shell look into it and that someone fron guest experience was going to callback-- I havent heard anything at all. I didnt appreciate how the server blatantly asked the child for a tip. While I understand its common practice, she could have given the change back and let the child decide on how she will tip.

My wife and I had a really nice meal at CC in North Burnaby tonight. The new parmasan crusted chicken with gnocchi, mushrooms, and Truffle oil, and topped with arugula was the best dish Ive ever had at CC. Brilliant dish that Ill definitely be having again very soon. I hope they keep this one on the memo as its a winner!! A glass of the Portuguese Vinho Verde reserva paired beautifuly with it.

Suzy is phenomenal! She truly made our night amazing. From her warm greetings and attentiveness throughout the night, to her food recommendations and surprise dessert . a star! Great service great experience

Been coming here once or twice a year since this location has been open. Am here right now for one of my daughters 14th bday cause Cactuc Club is her favorite place to eat! Food and service has always been great and consistent. Menu updates once in awhile has been amazing too.

Everything was ok until we asked for our bill. The girl did not help us to pack up the leftovers but just brought cases, and no bags. However, I saw the other tables were served properly. I chose the lowest tip rate because I did all myself. Will not go back.

We want to say Adrianna C. went above and beyond to make our bdays special. She was so personable and knowledgeable. We typically got to the station square location, but from now on we will go to the North Burnaby one because of her. Her customer service made us feel like we ve been regulars there for ages. Thank you Adrianna! Parking: They have a parking lot that s free of charge but very limited during high volume hours. If you go up towards the hotel parking lots you can park there but there is a charge. Kid-friendliness: There s a kids menu available

My wife and I went for a date night dinner at the North Burnaby location. We had a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. All of the staff working were so helpful and polite with big smiles. It was very nice to see. The food was excellent! My dish was the spaghetti portofino. It was one of the best seafood pasta dishes that I have had. My wife had the creole chicken. Again, its just incredible. We shared the key lime pie, which was decadent. Our waiter made sure we we were taking care of the moment we sat down. Our waters were never empty. One of the highlights to note was when one of the front door hostesses noticed that there was a plate that needed to be cleared and proceeded to walk over with a smile and take it away to the kitchen. Everyone there was working as a team! It was such a great dining experience. Thank you

Kudos on the top-notch service at Cactus Club! Josh s managerial prowess is evident, and I love the Home Depot style twist it adds a refreshing and memorable touch to the dining experience. Jasmine was also amazing.

Like most Cactus Clubs, the service and food are outstanding, but the music is nasty and deafening. We were having dinner with a dear friend and I was hoarse afterwards from simply trying to converse above the music. Will not return. Why cant they get creative and offer some quiet hours for people who want to actually communicate with their dining companions? Vegetarian options: They have good tofu options, even though they mostly dont bother to mention them on the menu. You have to ask.

The server was way too busy. We had to flag her down many times to get some service. The food selection is not very good either. Their old menu had more and better selections.

Everything was great except that our section by the windows was so dark we had to use our phones to read the menu efen after the server brought more candles. Wheelchair accessibility: Very little room near the entrance for loading and unloading mobility challenged patrons.

Im not a big fan because I never feel that the value for money is very good. The food is fine, but not spectacular, and the portions are modest. Not worth $20+ imo. My friend got the quesadilla and went home to have a second dinner because it was small with no sides. But, its also the only entree with meat under $24. I had the Med Bowl for $20. It was tasty. Three small falafels, hummus, salad, pickled veggies, and rice. Would have liked more falafel. Its nice that they have local beers on tap for a good price (33 acres for $8.25).

My family went here to celebrate my birthday, and we had a great time. Maggie was our server and she was absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed the food and atmosphere and definitely plan to go back for another meal in the future!

Good Service, Good Food and great atmosphere.

Do NOT get the sushi. My gf had 6 pieces and I had 2, she is the most sick I ve ever seen her in my life. I also have some food poisoning, but hers is much worse as she ate more. It sucks because everything was pretty good until we got home. Never coming back.

It could be better as we spent $170 for lunch for three. Foods was disappointing.

Cool and trendy place with good food and service

Food was good. Always love the drinks, theyre constantly coming up with new amazing concoctions that are so delicious. Service has been good in the past but last time was not great.

The worst service ever experienced by the server named Lexy who was super rude and not professional in every means, her manager Elainy on the other hand was attentive and apologetic for her team member behaviour. The point we would like to make is they should have train employees how to serve people properly!
