Darius is very attending to our needs. He is friendly and a very good server. The restaurant is very clean especially the washrooms. Food is excellent and my son was very happy to celebrate his Birthday at Cactus Club.

Came in this Friday afternoon and even though it was super busy our server Darius made sure we had everything we needed. He made sure our experience was top notch! I 100% recommend this location and Darius !

I ordered a cheddar bacon burger but the quality is average and my friend ordered pasta which is much better. Im surprised the beef patty is very thin and I consider the burgers from Wendys are much better than the one I had in Cactus. I would still recommend Cactus to friends because of the very good and friendly services provided.

The food was not good at all. The chicken tasted like the chef just threw in ANYTHING. They said there was pineapple and cilantro in it. There was ONE tiny piece of pineapple and ONE leaf of cilantro. There were also hard pieces when I bit into the chicken. It was also not warmed up thoroughly. It really seemed like no effort was made to prepare the dish. Not coming here again.

Typically I love CC as its always consistently great. Yesterday I met a client for lunch and ordered the green goddess salad with chicken. So disappointing. The greens were partially wilted and slimy (avoided half of them as Im sensitive to that) , exactly TWO candied pecans in the entire salad and the chicken tasteless . Hope they do better next time.

Dining in is always great, but everytime Ive ordered take out, like tonight, they forget something. There was no horseradish creme for the steak frites, and we already had driven all the way home in traffic with it. For $34 youd think you would at least remember the entire dish.

Typical cactus club, chain restaurant but this place is very convenient with a large parking free parking lot in market Crossing. Servers always friendly and I always have a good time when I come here. I never feel rushed and the food is good. A bit pricy but everything is these days. Cactus Club Cafe - the one restaurant that never fails to serve amazing drinks and food. Everything. Their drinks are incredible and I love getting to try all their new specials. This time we had some of the classic TRUFFLE FRIES, MED BOWL and MODERN BOWL. Great flavours as always.

I like this location and its service. I tried the butternut squash ravioli with prawns. They tasted good but were not very substantial. 7 flat raviolis and prawns did not make for a substantial meal. I had to eat more dinner when I got home, because they skimped so much.

always have a wonderful experience coming to this location. this last dinner we had Tasha G was a wonderful waitress, very kind and fun, even let us try the new cheesecake before it was available on the menu. will certainly be back.

What can you say about Cactus Club. Theyve been around for a long time. The food and atmosphere are always good. This location is no exception. Went here on a Wednesday for lunch with my wife and a friend of hers. We had reservations like always just to make sure well get a table. We got in just before the lunch crowd filled up the restaurant. After sitting down, our waitress offered beverages right away. Afterward we ordered our food. My wife had the baja tacos. I had the tuna poke bowl, and her friend had lettuce wrap but done up as a salad. The food was great. Ive always liked coming to Cactus Club. The food is good. Service is good, and it doesnt get overly noisy, and they dont play loud music that you have to talk over. Kudos to the Byrnes Crossing location for good service and food.

We had originally booked the outside patio, but it was too cold. We asked to be moved inside and were quickly accommodated with a great table in the lounge. Super service and great food. We will be back!

Amazing experience at Cactus Club Cafe! The atmosphere was stylish and inviting, and our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We loved the Avocado Dip and Ceviche to start so fresh and flavorful! The Butternut Squash Ravioli with Prawns was a standout, and the Chocolate Lava Cake dessert was the perfect finish. Can t wait to return!

Cactus Club has become a go-to spot for me and I m sure for many others too. I feel like it s getting better and better each time I visit. The steak is amazing, and I love the plain calamari (though the seasoned version is also good). The chicken and vegetable wrap is fantastic or maybe it was a lettuce wrap, I can t quite remember. The only thing I didn t enjoy as much was the truffle fries; they tend to dry out too quickly, but they re still okay. And they have peach bellinis! I used to order those all the time. I just wish they d offer a non-alcoholic version now that I m a bit older and don t drink as much. But I still enjoyed it. We also tried the carpaccio starter, which was really good. The staff are wonderful, and the waitress who took our order was fabulous. The only other minor downside was the heater by the fountain it felt a bit too warm, but we managed. Overall, we had an amazing experience at Cactus Club on Byrne Road.

We love this location for large group events as they are always very accommodating. There s lots of free parking in the shopping complex and centrally located. The service and staff were great and the food never disappoints. There is something for everyone to choose from the menu and don t forget to save room for dessert. Prices have gotten a little higher but that s with everything out there these days.

Ive been coming here for years, but never had such an amazing experience than with my server Mya this past Monday - she made our experience memorable. right when we sat down, she was friendly, attentive and incredibly professional. She went above and beyond to ensure our orders were perfect and made helpful recommendations for my allergies/dietary restrictions (which came back perfect to my requests....) She was checking in frequently with the table and kept the drinks coming! Mya was genuinely caring towards s and the experience made us feel so welcomed! There was a slight delay in seating us (we had reservation); it wasn t really a big deal, but they were very apologetic and really tried to make up for it. Great service!

Went here for my 31st bday/Thanksgiving family dinner tonight and had an amazing time thanks to the staff and management. Our server Kendra was the star of the show and did a great job checking in with us and working with my older family :)

Update: after four years, I decided to try this location again with a coworker. It was absolutely horrendous and as such, I have downgraded the rating to 1 star. My green goddess salad was supposed to come with a chicken breast; it didn t. When I asked for it, it took ages to come out and when it did, it was the most disgusting piece of chicken I have ever had (no joke). It was super rubbery and it felt like it had been reheated a million times over. It was shredded pieces of chicken where some chunks were freezing, while half the plate was heated. It was the most bizarre and disgusting plate of chicken I have ever had. The service was so slow as well; it took several hours for us to finish a one course meal and we had to flag the server down multiple times. Go to Station Square Cactus Club; they get it right. This location is way off the mark. Review 4 years ago - Unfortunately, this location just can t seem to get it right. We ordered takeout via DoorDash from here last weekend and ordered the 12oz Millionaire steak - instead we received the 6oz chargrilled steak? This weekend, we ordered takeout again, thinking we d give them another try. We specified no tomatoes on both burgers (via the selection box in each menu item PLUS in the written comments section of each); what did we receive? Tomatoes on both burgers....may not seem important, but one person is allergic; in addition, the food was absolutely frozen (and we live only minutes from this location, so obviously it had been sitting out for quite some time or it wasn t heated thoroughly). Before the pandemic, we visited this location in-person and they got our order wrong then too. I think third time s not a charm - we won t be revisiting/reordering from this location again.

Had a fantastic lunch for my Aunts 78th birthday. The food was cooked perfectly. The meals are always consistent . We had the dijon salmon,parmatian crusted chicken with truffle sauce, and spaghetti portofino. Highly recommend any of these delicious dishes

I had the salt and pepper chicken wings, calamari, and beef carpaccio for appies. Those were great, especially the wings. For dinner I had steak frites which were cooked well beyond the medium-rare I wanted and it was also a pretty tough and sinewy cut to boot.

The restaurant itself is lovely and the food tasted wonderful. However, I m giving it a four because the portion size was very small. It was like a child size portion of chicken, a couple handfuls of greens and 3/4 of a cup of noodles. Not much for a lunch entrée. It wouldn t cost them very much to, increase the serving size just a little. Left hungry.

First time at this particular location, food was delicious as usual.

Came here with my wife and friend for lunch. Minimal wait while they got a booth prepped for us. Wasnt too noisy which was good to carry conversations. I ordered the blackened Cajun Chicken Sandwich with Fries. While it was presented nicely, the bottom bun was just soaked through with juices and super soggy. I pointed this to our server when she came by to check on everything, but didnt ask for a replacement even though she offered to replace it. My intention was just to notify the kitchen so that they can do better for future orders to let the chicken rest a bit more so that it doesnt just drip everything into the bun. I finished my meal and thought nothing more, but our server came back after clearing our plates to apologize on behalf of the restaurant for the burger quality, and offered us any of the dessert for free! Again, this was not asked nor was I seeking compensation, but this was a very nice gesture and quality service which we appreciated. We ended up getting the Six Layer Chocolate slice so the 3 of us could share. Lastly, the washroom cleanliness is excellent. There are monitors in the stall doors for you to watch some TV show while you do you business! Ultimately, my wife and I will be looking forward to visiting this Cactus Club location again in the future!

Been here before with friends and grand children. Tonight was my grandson 11th birthday and was enjoyable evening.

The food is top notch. Not sure why we had to wait so long for our bill and had to flag the waitress down. Its like she forgot about us.

Jul 2024: The service was a lot better this time around and attentive and helpful. We had a few drinks and some appetizers and dinner. Over all the experience was much better then last visits. Their service could really use some work. The kitchen is efficient and the food is good. Update: Feb 02/22 Had a few drinks and dinner with friends. The lime Margarita has had the biggest improvement it was very good and I would recommend it. Had the teriyaki rice bowl for dinner and the friends ordered the prawn spaghettini. The food was good. The service has gotten better but other locations I have been too tend to have better service than this place. Not to say that we had bad service but their other locations have better service.

Even tho they re always busy, they take good care of you. Very polite host and server up to bartenders. My personal favorite cocktail drink them Peach Lineowskis (Peach Bellini) and Blackened Creole Chicken, good times.

My family and I had dinner at Cactus Club the other night and we were so impressed! Our server was Darius (highly recommended). As someone who worked in customer service for many years, I can honestly say, nowadays it is difficult to find someone as helpful, professional, personable and friendly as Darius was. He made us feel like nothing was a bother but rather a pleasure. It was hot and he was run off his feet, not once complaining. He had nothing but smiles for us. Darius is an absolute pleasure, his service is top-notch and without hesitation I can tell you (as someone who had frequented this particular Cactus Club for MANY years) Darius is an asset to your company. Cactus Club always has good food, but the serive at the south Burnaby location is exceptional. The location is great as well. Will always return.

Had a great evening meeting with good life-long friends I havent seen in a couple of years due to my moving east. The hostess, a lovely lass named Samantha G., was especially nice, pleasant, funny, and extremely courteous. Food was good, drinks were better, and the overall ambience exceptional. An all round pleasant evening.

Class service. We were served by a Latina with long hair. I forgot the name. The food was excellent, even if the portions were small. Very intensive air conditioning, you have to like it. We had a nice stay in the restaurant. Gladly again.

I visited Cactus Club in Burnaby this afternoon and had a pleasant experience overall. The Rigatoni Bolognese was delicious, truly satisfying with every bite, capturing the essence of what good pasta should taste like. However, the margarita left a bit to be desired, as it was rather bland and lacked the special touch I was hoping for. The service was prompt and friendly, though it felt a bit rushed, as if they were eager for us to leave despite several empty tables. While I enjoyed the food, the mixed signals from the service aspect left me a little perplexed.

Ordered the steak frites medium rare today. The steak was very dry and over grilled. Must have just come out of the freezer. I never had much luck at CC with their steak preparation. I will stick to the chicken in future that they do very well. This applies to both Byrne Road snd Station Square in Burnaby.

Went to cactus and my friend the Thai curry. It wasnt till it came to table that I recalled I had ordered this dish before. It is simply a disaster. Rice floating in a Thai curry slurry. A few shrimp? Or other floating but its a disaster. Why is it even a possibility ...yucko

I love eating at cactus. Still love the food but service is terrible. Literally had to ask for every single thing like cutlery, dry plates instead of wet & dirty. We asked for no ice due to our sore throats.. our server still brought water with a lot of ice. And many more disappointing things. I rather spend my money some where else where they actually care and know how to treat customers.

Her attentive care and charming personality made every moment delightful. The food was packed with flavour and stunningly presented. With Lillias exceptional service and the mouthwatering food, dining at Catcus became an experience to cherish.

Georgia was super pleasant and very friendly. She was on top of our drinks and I didn t even have to ask for a refill! She was always making sure we were well taken care of. 10/10

I want to take a moment and give kudos to the manager Jada at the cactus club, we had our yearly meeting after 4 years of Covid , we do this yearly we were 9 people , she accommodated our demand and made us sit all together instead of 2 tables. That was very nice of her not to refuse our demand as a team. The food is amazing, juicy, place is very clean; servers are smiling at all times, very knowledgeable of the menu and what they are serving, extremely quick and consistent. I truly, highly suggest this place for all your events; meetings , business , family and casual happenings. Listen, I m a freak of filet mignon, my plate was amazingly juicy, tender and everything Kajol suggested, was so great, yummy and fresh: try them and thank me later ! Extremely happy with everything and prices are extremely decent ! Probably one of the best services we received for a long time and this is coming from someone that works in hospitality, I manage the Epson POS printers , at the distributor side . So A1 service, food, quality and value!

We have been here a few times .....in the lounge area when we prefer more relaxing ambience....or in the dining area when we prefer more privacy.....or on a sunny day in their covered patio area enjoying the small stream surrounding.....you will always find yourself in the best seat for your mood that day! Food and drinks are of course up to the standard. Today we were a bit late so we had happy hour snack (which is huge portion still)....a cheddarburger with angus beef...with fries, and a chipotle chicken taco (3) with a few nachos and an avocado cream...We also shared an avocado kale salad which was very fresh. Love the fennel chili crumbs on top! The sunset soda was also chill. Love the bellini Service is good as usual!!!

This is a hard review to write! I went to cactus club a few days ago for happy hour. I was craving the Cajun chicken burger and fries. When I approach the counter to say it was just one they told me they put single people at the bar stools. I said no. I dont want to sit at the bar. I was showing to a table and told my server would be right there. My server came to the area, cleaned the two tables beside me and then proceeded to come to me. I felt she should have come to me first! She took my order but she didnt bring me my food. Someone else did. When I was almost finished eating. She approached me to ask me if everything was okay. Better late than never. I guess! I sat for quite a while with no contact. Then she walked by and I asked her for the bill. I didnt feel like I had much of any real service or connection with staff so I didnt feel comfortable leaving a tip. I did however, because I know that there is tip share and I didnt feel that the people who cook the food should be left out of that. My son who works in a high-end restaurant downtown said it was probably because I was sitting by myself and that they wouldnt get as much of a tip because I was a solo customer. I really hope that isnt the case. Having said all that, I do really enjoy the food!

Dined in and had a reservation at 7:15 on March 08 it was our first time going to this location and was very disappointed by our server. Everything was going smooth but when it was time to pay,the server asked us if we want the bill in 2 ways and I said yes thinking that 2 ways means splitting the bill. Later on,the server came with two receipts charging us for whatever me and my partner ordered and the rest for the other group that was with us(I was still charged wrong)so I asked the server to split the bill instead and she didn t say anything but just snatched the receipts and threw it on the other table, Me and my group felt uncomfortable as it seemed like she was annoyed by us asking for something. Is there an extra charge for acting nice to customers? I love Cactus Club but it is disappointing to treat customers like this.

Consistency is the key to any successful business. Cactus club does offer consistency and that is why we come back. The food and the service are excellent.

My friend and I dined in at Cactus to catch up this week. While we were dining, my friend had a massive heartburn, and Tasia was so accommodating and suggested honey which she provided along with hot water, and it definitely did the trick! We cant wait to be back and experience the service again (not the heartburn)

I had an horrible experience at this location tonight. Poor service. I go to cactus all the time and this is the worst treatment I ve had here. Not only did we get our order really late, they didn t get my whole dish. They got me my chicken but didn t get me my salad. Every time I come here I send about $150-$200. I ll be taking my business somewhere else. Great job cactus! I m going to the Keg from now onwards.

Good food. Make sure you tip good to the server ..otherwise they would call the cop.. I had dinner and once we left the premises , 911 was called by noting down the license plate and saying i was driving drunk. Had to face hassle of being stopped by cop ( though got clearance)..but got to know from the cops that Cactus club called 911.

I stopped by for a quick happy-hour drink and food, which I should not have. The experience was not pleasant, as the portion of their happy-hour food was horrible. For instance, they charged us for the avocado dip a lot which was only 1 tablespoon served with a lot of chips. Moreover, I ordered a black coffee for five dollars, which was nothing special for the price.
