This was disappointing they have dimsum but no shrimp dumplings which is the number one dumpling nor any normal dimsum sold at almost all dimsum places, they didnt care either she just laughed Ha Ha no wine ha ha no light beer just disappointing i had to fly out soon or i would have left....everything i asked for they didnt have and all she could do is giggle....last time there till they get it together esp in a city where there is so much competition...the beef brocholi was good, she was nice but there was just poor product availablity.....

I hate to review this low, I ve been eating here for a long time, I often get delivery also. I ordered today and they had a promo of free salt and pepper pork chop with $40 purchase. It had 4 average size pieces and 4 thumb sized crumbs, the value is $20 If you re going to do that don t even bother with the promo, it s so scummy, I won t be back, there s plenty of other Chinese restaurants around.

Your spicy hotpot looks like leftovers put together from the food left by other guests at other tables, and the lunch meat still tastes like spoiled. Unfortunately, I really like eating your farm stir-fry, and I don t dare to go there again!

Big portion, and decent food. The restaurant is located at prime location in the area, the Plaza itself has very limited parking, but there are plenty of street parking around the block. I love the spicy and sour potatoes and the cumin lamb slices. Those are our go to dishes.

Here is the problem. Ordered a number of dishes for a family celebration for eight. A time was given for delivery 60 + minutes past the said delivery time and still no food. The restaurant is pointing fingers at door dash. BUT, the restaurant doesn t have the presence of mind to send the order via Uber or other means. A management problem.

I ordered delivery. Pork chop was hard broccoli was undercooked... The worst dish is the Potato rolls. Potato was undercooked, crunchy! what gross me out was it tasted extremely sour!!! This is the first time I ordered this dish, dunno if that is a regular taste of the dish, but it is not edible. It was so sour that I thought it had gone bad. I called the restaurant to verify, the guy said they use vinegar. it is sweet and sour with plum sauce. I didnt taste any sweetness but SOUR... it was so sour that the taste lingered in my tongue until the next day...

Outstanding Chinese food, as an American tourist it was the best I ve ever had. We got the sweet and sour chicken, beef chow mein and mixed vegetables w/ crispy tofu, it was all delicious and large portions. Recommend ordering delivery through their website, much cheaper than Uber eats etc.

The food is great but the sudden price rise to over $2+ per dish was just sudden, and feels insulting to loyal customers. People in our office doesnt want to order there anymore because it feels they priced themselves out. Its a shame.

Good choice of authentic desserts

I came here to eat Sichuan food a year ago, but now it s Cantonese food. Of course, for many people this is a good Chinese food experience, but for people who love authentic Sichuan food, this is very disappointing. Probably wont recommend it, Brentwood is missing a good place to go.

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant. Everything is so delicious and properly cooked. I also really like that they offer 5-grain rice as an option for your dishes.

My daughter loves this restaurant and we have been there for about 10 times. Xiaolongbao is a must have, and many other cuisines are delicious. Great service.

We ate here several times. Food was always good. Portion good. Last 2 times the portion is much smaller. We always had some to take home. Once is an oversight. Twice is on purpose. The price of the food increased by 50% by cutting the portion. Were talking about noodles here. Wow. Not very wise.

The xiao long bao are some of the best I have had and they arrive piping hot and perfect even in take out or delivery. Amazing dim sum options late into the evening and the dan dan noodles really hit the spot. The corn soup is another thing I highly recommend - some of the best!

The food was pretty good, the lamb was especially good. Its more delicious than lamb skewer restaurants. If you cant eat tzuran, I think it would be a good idea to talk about it in advance and make some adjustments. Dim sum isnt great, but its not bad. Their staff were friendly, but that s literally the worse Chinese food I had in Burnaby. It s not traditional sichuan cuisine, I felt like they premade all the dishes and nothing was made fresh. I donnot recommend this restaurant to people who are looking for spicy Chinese food.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants around. Weve literally been to dozens (hundreds?) of Chinese restaurants in the Vancouver Lower Mainland and the food here is simply top tier. They even make their own noodles fresh in-house. Recommendations: Xiao Long Bao Shanghai Soup Dumplings, Shanghai Style Chow Mein and Sauteed Lamb with Cilantro

Beware of false pricing, They don t honour their own website prices. Make sure to ask what s the current price before ordering.

It used to be the best Chinese restaurant in town, but the taste has changed. The fried rice was sticky, the mapo tofu became sour, and the spiciness disappeared and became greasy (as of last year). I ordered it again and it got the old taste back. I like it.

Consistently good food here. Super quick and friendly service, generous portion sizes, and good prices. Standard authentic Chinese food with great hand-pulled noodles and Bao.

Grand Chinese restaurant in North Burnaby offers delicious food every time. And what I really appreciate about Grand Chinese restaurant is how fast they deliver the food and usually within half hour from the time I order my food to the time it s delivered; which is important as the food is still hot! The staff are friendly, helpful and polite as well as the delivery person. Grand Chinese restaurant is my top choice whenever I m craving Chinese food. Thank you to all the great staff and team.

Finally found our new favorite for Chinese in the GVA every dish was fantastic; I just wish my stomach was bigger. Didn t need a drop of soy sauce. Impressed by the handmade-on-demand dumplings & noodles. Portions so big, my sister & I didn t even have to fight.

If I could give 0 stars or even negative stars I would. First time ordering takeout because we went once a long time ago and now I remember why we didnt return for many years. The food is subpar but the service is horrid. If you look on their website it shows the menu as well pricing for lunch specials. We decided to order 3 lunch specials which show $10.95 but the cashier screamed said they have many websites and were wrong. It should be $14 and tax. She tried charging $47, if I knew we wouldve went next door again. My husband told her and showed her the website and said that they should update the page and she was just angry saying wrong wrong no no and humiliated us. Thanks but no thanks. Unless you change your page with updated pricing and have more happier servers or employees instead of bitter panties tied up in a bunch style people, we wont return. Better food options at Neptune and wayyy higher quality and service or even down the road.

Service is pretty good too (compared to other Chinese restaurant) When we read the name in Chinese Character, we though that this is Szechuan cuisine restaurant. Szechuan cuisines can be found on their menu. However, the taste of the dishes taste more like Canton/Hong Kong style, or a combination of Szechuan and Canton/Hong Kong style rather than Szechuan style. For example, the noodle in hot and sour soup, this restaurant use pork mince, potato, diced carrot and green bean instead of wood ear, tofu, and egg.

Always the place I go to when I need food to uplift my spirit. Truly appreciate their delicious food at a reasonable price. However, some recipes seemed to be slightly different than before. Overall, great experience and thank you for the amazing food!

My bestie introduced me to this gem. We specifically came here for their $13.95 lunch special which included soup of the day. I didn t like the tomato egg swirl soup. We both ordered the beef chow fun and Xiaolongbao. Both dishes were tasty and the noodle dish was a big portion. Noodles weren t greasy. Great value! Service was decent. My bestie comes here regularly both for lunch & dinner. The best value is their lunch special. It s a challenge finding free parking out front as there are a limited spots. They re located in the mini shopping plaza next to Petro Canada gas station off Willingdon & Lougheed. Steps from Brentwood Mall. I ll be back!

Ordered take out through Uber eats. the food presented looked great but the flavor did not match. Much of the dishes where bland and not flavorful especially the curry which had very little flavor, there also seems to be an over abuse of the baking soda to tenderize meat. The restaurant is fairly average, not the best but not the worst.

Absolutely terrible and rude service. Went for dinner for dine in and the waitress was pretty rude (at least compared to other places). So we decided not to tip and while paying, the waitor COMPLAINED to us for not tipping. This is the first restaurant in Canada in 15 years where a server actually complained to us for not tipping. We usually tip for food at least 12~15% even if the food isnt good as long as service was somewhat decent, but Ive never seen a restaurant where the servers complains directly to the customers face for not tipping? The server basically asked us (after not tipping) that the total cost did not include tip which we were obviously aware of, and then kept on asking why there wasnt tip? I wouldnt recommend dine in here unless you want to hear some tip complaints from servers. Definitely a new experience for me there.

Shuzhuang, the heating was not on and it was very cold. I ordered hot and sour soup, dandan noodles and scallion pancakes. The noodles were very good and the pancakes were delicious. It seemed like many people were ordering takeout. The table next door ordered the lunch special. I saw the amount of fried cabbage and the spicy aroma of chili peppers. It was quite filling and super fragrant. I thought I might come back and try it again. When asked, the next table ordered twice-cooked pork and will try it next time. The xiao long bao looks great too.

We were so desperate to find a decent place for spicy food after our favored Hunan restaurant closed permanently due to high cost of rental. We then found this Szechuan restaurant. This one offers a very wide range of Chinese food including soup, stir fried dishes, steamed buns and such. It may benefit many locals who want to experience taste of China, and for those who are experts in spicy food, this place might need more qualification because the chiefs are mostly Cantonese. My girlfriend often wonders why Cantonese who do not usually eat spicy food opened Szechuan restaurants, and my answer is that Cantonese cooks are very skillful and flexible. Our food this time did not have much spiciness as they were worried about local people s tolerance, so we might go again for some possible real deals.

The vegetables are is crisp and piping hot - I m sure this is the way stirfry is supposed to be. Delicious! The service is great - I love their lychee tea! I am willing to bet that this restaurant does not follow proper food safety protocols or uses almost expired chicken. Last two orders I placed from this restaurant (with a 5 month time gap) both had nasty smelling chicken that I am 100% sure was one day away from being rancid.

It is definitely of a higher standard than mass-produced low-price Chinese restaurants. I also eat the Yaletown branch occasionally, and there is consistent consistency with no difference in taste or quantity. Cantonese cuisine is all good without any flaws, but Sichuan cuisine is a bit disappointing.

Wow, this place is amazing! First time there, parking is a bit tight its shared with 4 other businesses. Its really busy here. The food is great, its tasty, limited seating inside. The staff and service is good. Will likely order from here again. Its a bit tricky getting here, your best bet is on Lougheed heading west, past Petro gas station, or south on Willingdon, if no parking, recomend street parking but there metered.

We had the rice cake which was overly salted but the waitress was very friendly and helpful and tried to have the chef make it less salty. The veggy dumpling was pretty good. Hopefully its just a one off. I would go back to try other dishes in the future.

Friendly staff, quick food prep, and large portions, and somewhat reasonable pricing. Great for working individuals or anyone in a hurry to get some good food real quick. The interior design is nothing fancy but that shouldnt stop you from going in if you only care about the food quality.

Great wok air

Today I ordered the boiled fish and spicy chicken from the group purchase. Generally speaking, its okay. The chili doesnt feel fragrant enough, but compared to the overall environment of Canadian Chinese food, there is basically no restaurant that specializes in one kind of dish and is reliable. For example, the boiled fish here uses cheap Longli fish. To know. There is no sea in Sichuan, so how can we eat sea fish? However, it tastes okay and is worth the price. Overall 4 stars. It s okay to eat in passing.

It was our first time ordering from Grand Chinese Restaurant. Even though we got take out the food was still warm and it was pretty delicious. We got the C9. Xinjiang Spicy Chicken, V10. Szechuan String Beans and V8. Chinese Ratatouille. Overall, I really enjoyed the beans and eggplants (ratatouille), but we found the chicken to be way too spicy. The moment the food touched my mouth I could feel the heat. Definitely get mild if you are considering getting it.

Came here for lunch, I had the kung pow chicken with rice, server were great and courteous, the hot peppers were alittle tough to eat since they might have been dehydrated? We had a delivery order for dinner on November 20th, 2022, through Skip the Dishes. It was hot and on time. However, the actual food was disappointing. The quantity for the price was reasonable. The sweet vinegar chicken was bland, the BBQ Pork fired rice seemed to have very little pork in it. The other two dishes were plain although the vegetables were fresh. I have used this restaurant about 8 times in the past year and a half and this time was not to the standard we had expected. Perhaps something happened on Sunday with the cook or the preparation. They will get one more order from us and if it isnt back to our normal experience, we will start the hunt for a new Chinese restaurant.

Got three approx 1 x 2 pieces of stale tofu, limp n brown bok choy, and one slice of carrot. Ordered C1. Szechuan Style Peppery Chicken. Tasted like soap, only a handful of pieces of chicken. Went straight into the organics. Except for container full of chillies, there were zero vegetables. Paid $51.14. Received negative value for money. Very disappointed with the quality of food, and care taken with each ordered item. Order # 1037546 (placed on 14 Aug, 2021 at 6.37pm).

I love the food here. Ive only ever got takeout/delivery so I cant comment on their dine-in experience, but I can say the food is delicious and everyone Ive shared it with so far agrees. Their Xiao long bao Shanghai Dumplings are to die for and I get them literally every time I order here. Also love their AAA Alberta Beef Steak with Black Pepper, so incredibly flavorful and spicy the way I like it. Highly recommended!

Mooshoo way too salty and did not come with pancakes. Later noticed pancakes are sold separately but was not informed of this when ordering. Who sells mooshoo without pancakes?!? General Tsos chicken was absolutely flavorless. Someone pls tell them its supposed to be sweet. Will not be going back. This seems to be the home style Chinese food found in Richmond restaurants with florescent lighting and giant round tables. Its for dinners from that other Mainland.

This is the second time I have been to this restaurant chain. Overall very impressive. The lamb dumplings, the cumin lamb dish and house special chow mein were amazing on my first visit. My latest visit I sampled the yang chow fried rice and the pork bellies in cabbage and bean curd with chili peppers and black bean spicy sauce. My only disappointment was with the fried rice and their use of frozen cut vegetables from the bag. The shrimp in the rice were delicious though. Otherwise this place is amazing and I highly recommend it!!

Ordered from Uber Eats and Fantuan many times Fantuan has had a constant 20-30% discount off their regular prices. Inusally use Uber Eats for them if they have a coupon. The food isnt anything special but hits the spot and is our go to place for delivery. Their wait times arent bad. We have never gone for in3 in though.

Went there for Thanksgiving dinner with wife and kids. Restaurant twas following all Covid Safety protocols. Food was fast and food was tasty and not too greasy. Place was fairly busy, which is always a good sign. The only negative was that parking sucks. You prob be better parking @ Brentwood Mall or Madison Center and walking over vs trying to park in that cramped and super busy lot. Will definitely be going again for dine in and will try take out too

My friend asked the staff if they could add more seasoning and peanut sauce to the noodles and they were receptive. Though, despite all that, the taste couldn t be salvaged. We each got a side of white rice as well but the rice was hard - imagine day old rice.

I personally really like this restaurant but there are a few things they can improve on. I know that everything is expensive now but the portions can be a little bigger. Their food is really tasty. I go at least once a week. If their portions can be a little bigger it would be 5 star

Tasty Chinese food, excellent hand pulled noodles and some delicious laksa.

Very disappointed with the beef noodle. The handmade noodle was too thick and totally changed the original taste of BEEF NOODLE. ....

I have been coming here as a regular. Great food, large portions, and reasonable prices, a winning combination. Service was really fast each time I came here; like food on the table within minutes of ordering. The Northern curry chicken is very flavourful, not too spicy, perfect over steamed rice. It s my favourite. The noodles are made in-house so its super fresh and tasty. Try the pan-fried rice cakes. The noodles in soup are another must try, big bowls with lots of noodles filled to the top. Let me know if you found this helpful.
