6514 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5H 2E9, Canada
Small, wood-&-concrete clad eatery specializing in Japanese ramen noodles with varied toppings.
I've visited kamamarui ramen a couple of times before the pandemic. It hasn't changed 😁 Unlike most ramen joints, the ramen here is actually not too heavy! The restaurant is quite small, but the servers were extremely fast in getting us a table. Once we were seated they were very polite and made sure we were comfortable. The ramen only took 5 minutes to arrive! Scary! I ordered the black garlic ramen. The noodles were very thin, reminding me of wonton noodles. But ended up making the dish actually quite light. You get a choice of rich broth or regular broth. I chose the latter. There are also combos you can order on top of the ramen, like with onigiris (bomb), karaage, etc. The only thing I wish they would change is the price, because it's actually quite expensive for a small portion of ramen. This is nearly the price of ramen shops in DT Vancouver. But asides from this, I would highly recommend Kamamarui 😊
We were a group of six and all enjoyed our ramen dishes so much. Lots of flavour, great value, and hot. Thank you!
I've been there many times. Depending on the time, there may be a bit of a wait. The soup's richness can be customized to your preference. I've tried various flavors here, but I often order Tonkotsu ramen.
Hadn't come here in a while but am so happy I did! I tried the limited time Gojira ramen and it was sooo fulfilling and delish! I tried both miso and pork based broth and found the pork one to be my fav of the two ✨✨ def come with an empty stomach because it is a lotttt of pork but super worth it. The servers are also super sweet and very very attentive and will refill ur water/tea every chance they get haha (Also the bombs really are delish! We always get the combo with them)
I tried chicken karage and some ramen here. The broth was flavorful, the noodles were cooked just right with fresh toppings. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, though service was a little slow during peak hours.
Ramen base was mediocre but they make up for it with other stuff. The tonkotsu base was lacking depth and creaminess. But for my black garlic one, they do put a hefty amount of it so you get the black garlicky goodness all the way until the end. The cha siu was super soft. One of the better ramen cha sius of vancouver. You can choose the broth richness but I wish you can choose the noodle doneness. The noodles were al dente in the beginning but quickly got soggy. Usually I got for a harder noodle doneness so its perfect midway through. There are things you can add to the ramen yourself. There's ramen sauce - not sure what it is but it was flavorful. There's also fried garlic. Adds a nice touch and other restaurants don't have this. The chicken karaage was lacking. Small pieces. Not fried well. The takoyaki was good due to the sauces but obviously frozen takoyaki, which makes it quite expensive. $16.95 for black garlic tonkotsu ramen is expensive for the quality they give. Same price as santouka and more expensive than danbo.
I always walk by neighborhood but I never go try it until I saw a lot of good reviews so I got to try it. I came for dinner I ordered plain noodles with chicken soup with chicken karage and my husband had pork noodle soup. I like my chicken soup very delicious but I don’t like the noodles and my husband noodle soup was so oily but I still give 4 stars for the food. If you like noodles soup I do recommend to eat here. The restaurant is very small only has about six tables so don’t come rush hour and also very hard to find parking.
I have been coming back to this restaurant since my husband and I saw it around mterotown area many years ago. We have tried out all their ramens and I must say that our favorite is the chasu ramen with rich broth. You can add sides to add in your soup as well and for me, it's the bean sprouts. Add a little chili oil and you're ready to dig in. Yum! Another favorite is the spicy agedashi tofu. I normally request that the sauce on the side if my kids are with me. And ofcourse, the chicken karaage. Very tasty! Very nice and attentive staff as well. I'm a regular, and will keep coming here and eat ramen even if it's warm weather. My daughter is very picky, but she loves it here!
Had some amazing Chicken Black Ramen and some tea. Cute little place with some amazing staff.
Good ramen, smaller selection of ramen but the service is good. Comes with complimentary tea. Service is very fast. In the evenings can get very busy and you may have to wait.
The ramen broth is very tasty. We keep coming back here even after trying other Ramen shops.
Ramen is delicious
The portions and prices are good. The egg and chashu that comes with the ramen is so good. Also, the agedashi tofu is amazing. The place is small and cute but does have somewhat limited seating/parking.
One of the best hidden gems in metro Vancouver for ramen!
Delicious Ramen. Cant stop coming back
This is probably the best ramen house in the entire Greater Vancouver area bar none.
Best ramen place, great miso ramen, bomb, chicken karaage! Service is amazing and the quality is so good, outshines all other ramen places around here!
Very good.
I LOVE buta don! Buta don for president
This is my favourite Ramen place in Metrotown! 10/10 delicious and a very reasonable price too. The chasu is soooo good
Delicious ramen! I tried the special and loved the pork.
Wow! I was blown away. This place is so cute. Love that they have modular seating to accommodate bigger and smaller parties at any given time. It was really good for the money and lots of options for picky eaters alike. My friend wasn t really feeling anything crazy so she just got the Tonkotsu Plain Ramen and the broth was plenty rich enough to make up for the lack of meat. Some of the most tender chashiu as well better than Danbo & Maru-Hatchi. Sorry guys, but Kamamarui s on top for that one!
I have been here for both the ramen and the don. Overall the don is fantastic with colossal serving sizes. I believe there was a $10 chashu don special at one point and it was wonderful. The don never disappoints. Ramen is a little small for me but the taste is always great and beautiful presentation. The atmosphere is nice with simple wood tables and seats, moderate lighting and relatively quiet. Servers are nice and do a great job. Love this place it doesn t disappoint, ESPECIALLY for the don. 5/5
The chasu was good and the broth was really rich.
I had the miso chashu ramen, and my spouse had tonkatsu. Both were great. They have the firmer thinner ramen noodles, which is not my preference, but I still enjoyed my meal.
Great local spot! Lowkey, quality ramen but they only have paid parking and I got a ticket for being 5 mins over..
We got ramen for take-out and what stood out for us a lot was that we were in there for like 2 minutes picking it up and the servers were just so nice. The ramen was also really good.
A lovely place for some delicious Ramen! Love the flavours and the simplicity, highly recommend
One of the best ramen spots in Metro Vancouver! The ramen eggs are well-seasoned, and I also highly recommend their rice bombs. The black ramen is definitely their signature dish. Go for the rich option if you prefer stronger and more garlicky flavors
Gojira ramen, it tasty well. Yummy limited dishes
Good
BEST RAMEN PLACE IN VANCOUVER!!! I go here from time to time with my family and the people here are so kind! They even give my little sister a Tupperware of candy Everytime we order! 5 STARS Food
I love their black garlic ramen.
Their black garlic ramen soup was really good. Not too salty. They also have hot sauce / chili oil / dried garlic at each table - very convenient! Also, the sauce on the takoyaki was really delicious. In fact, the sauce on the spicy agedashi tofu was even better.
Its been 4th time my wife and I went there. We like their food and service are also nice.
Best ramen in town, and we live on ramen. We have tried nearly all of them and have been coming here for two years now. The most favourite by my family that we all LOVE is takoyaki, and rice bombs. My kids fight over them. If you get the rich broth it will be heavier and oilier than the regular broth. Service is OK, and even friendly at times, but today they brought our appetizers halfway through the meal. Took them very long time. Wish they had gluten-free noodles though. Kid-friendliness: My kids LOVE the food, and that they can make it spicy with delicious chili oil.
One of my favourite ramen places in the Lower Mainland! Broth is so savory and flavourful and available in rich and regular. Good portions too. Id recommend going with the rice bomb combo.
THE BEST RAMEN & SERVICE!! Cannot rave about this place enough :-)
The ramen here was very tasty and made for good before concert food. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was very nice and peaceful.
The food was very good and quick service Hana was great server the food was very good as well, fully recommend to others.
Great Ramen. Great service.
Maybe because it s in the Burnaby area, the ramen is quite expensive! The taste is moderate but the portion is small!
soo yummy! some of the best ramen i had in vancouver. i got the miso ramen with rich broth and it was delicious. the broth was very rich and clean (im not the type to drink the broth but it was quite exceptional) the service was great+ friendly and the food was a 10/10. would recommend!
I ve been here twice and I can say this: it s plainly bad ramen. The broth has this off-putting taste from the pork that tastes under-developed. No amount of black garlic oil or extra sauces can mask it. What s worse is the chashu, dry and bland. I think whoever in charge knows that the chashu is a weak point, because the slices are slathered with this flavouring powder that has maltodextrin-looking crystals, similar to the flavourings they use on potato chips or those bbq fries at Potato Corner. I wouldn t even be mad if there s MSG - it s a fine seasoning plagued by a racist myth - but the sheer laziness is hilarious, because this is the first time I ve seen chashu that needed any kind of flavouring powder before serving. This is not to mention the lack of toppings (seaweed & sprouts cost extra) included for what they charge. It s just bad. This restaurant has convinced me that anyone that sells Hakata-style ramen can do well at this point.
Cozy little ramen shop with fantastic service. Received my Black (Garlic) Ramen in under 5 minutes. Extremely delicious with the rich broth. Will be back again soon
Comfortable shop for delicious thin ramen in pork knuckle soup. Tastes better than thick ramen.
I have been coming here since 2013, bringing my friends and family in tow every chance I get. This place is special -- homey, small, comfortable. The ramen is delicious, their chashu is perfect, and the bomb is to die for. My main criticism now is that they changed their noodles a couple of years ago and the soup just isnt the same. I was a huge fan of their thicker noodles and the new thin ones arent nearly as good. However, it remains my go-to ramen place. Thank you for all of the years, Kamamarui!
I had the Black Ramen and Bomb combo. The ramen was okay, but the Bomb was much more delicious. I was curious to try the Buta Don that is apparently limited to a certain number of bowls per day, but it wasnt available in a combo with the Bomb. I received outstanding service while I was here, which might be worth mentioning more than the food.
Good Ra-men veggie
Best broth, best egg, best chasiu, best ramen I ve ever tasted. Get extra noodles if you don t want the broth to go to waste because there will be leftover soup! Did both dine in and takeout before, tastes so good either way! I would recommend tonkotsu and miso ramen. Regular broth is already pretty rich and tasty to me so I never tried the actual rich broth. Highly recommend this place for ramen! Prices are decent too for the quality of food and service as well.
The service was very friendly and the food came fast
Loved this place, so cute and cozy. Staff very sweet, ramen noodle soup delicious and they offer free garlic on the side (good for immune system haha). Thank you!
What a great super tasty ramen! Tan tan chicken for the spicy lovers would be a Great suggestion. Food
Very authentic Kyushu noodles and perfect tonkotsu broth. Very cozy environment.
Meat was delicious ramen was average
It tastes good~ It would be better if there were thicker noodles
So far best ramen in Burnaby looove it!
I consider this to be one of the best spots for ramen nearby. The torched chasu is absolutely delicious and the tonkotsu broth is almost as good as the ones I had in japan. When you eat there you get access to extra sauces which add new twists to the ramen. The chili oil is randomly really good and they have free FREE fried garlic bits (not throwing shade at all) The vibe inside of the restaurant is nice as well with a hole in the wall ramen bar kinda vibe. Well if you want ramen and YOU want to be satisfied COME TO THIS RESTRUANT
Excellent broth, fast service, friendly helpful staff.
Food
Flavourful Ramen, cosy atmosphere, servers free tea, limited seating
Black ramen was delish. Lovely and attentive staff. Clean.
Incredibly good flavour. The rich black ramen is super tasty, and the price for portion is really good. Free toppings like fried garlic. Their karage is nice and crispy and the spicy mayo is fancy. Really friendly staff, very genuine and helpful. Our server helped us get a discount we werent aware of. Good casual atmosphere, all its missing is the vending machine and Id think I was in Tokyo again
Food is good, service is very fast and the servers are very attentive.
Found this place when i was walking back from Metrotown, and i do not regret it. Its a ramen restaurant with of course some appetizers and drinks, but the main reason you go here is for ramen. They have a lot of options for the ramen, and if you want you can add extra of whatever you would like. The portion is HUGE and very filling and it tastes delicious. The only con is that there is little soup and a load of noodles, other than that, this place is easily a 5-star.
I decided to give Kamamarui Ramen a try for the first time because they offer a vegan broth ramen. I was with a vegetarian friend, so we double-checked with the waiter to ensure that it wasnt made with any meat. To my delight, the ramen was pretty tasty, and I didnt notice any difference from the non-vegan ones. Along with the ramen, we also ordered the Agedashi Tofu. The spicy sauce it came with was a nice blend of sweet and spicy. The tofu was delicious when paired with this sauce, much better than the same tofu that was served in the ramen which, to be honest, became a bit soggy and wasnt the highlight for me. The service at this restaurant was top-notch. The waitresses were always around to refill our water and their hospitality was exceptional. Id say that Kamamarui Ramen is definitely worth checking out!
Ramen portion was big, totally enough for an adult, but the ramen soup was too salty for me. BTW, their rice balls were delicious, worth a try!
Good bowl of ramen! Great soup and perfect meat. Portion is a bit small but thats just personal appetite. Parking is annoying as you need to scan and pay online, but then diamond parking system double charges you.. no fault if the restaurant though.
Smal restaurant, very nice! Miso soup was very nice!!!
The chashu was nicely done but the type of ramen noodle I didnt really enjoy , seemed very dry to me despite being in the broth.
Small little family run shop. Very popular spot. Good food.
Food was great. Service was quick and attentive, never had an empty cup!
Yummy ramen, friendly service, cute little spot.
This place has seriously the best ramen!! It s also super affordable and the staff there are sooo nice. My partner and I use to eat here so much when I lived closer and they often remembered our order. (We always order the same thing lol) i love their vegan ramen and Agadashi tofu and I m not even vegan haha. My gf gets the miso ramen the only downside is there isn t a ton of seating and it can be busy occasionally.
Small and cozy restaurant.Love their ramen.quality and quantity well maintained.staff was so good.Fast service.will definitely visit soon
Good and simple menu. Tasty and satisfying.
Delicious pork bone flavor!
One of the best ramen, quick service, friendly staff.
Yum
Came here just before closing. Qualyity of food and service are still top notch. Jamming out to Disney songs was also nice!
I love this place, the food is delicious, but last time I was served by a girl who was loudly chewing candy! It was funny and outrageous because of the candy, I couldnt understand what she was saying. All this was happening at the same time while she was sitting on a table (not a chair, but a table where people eat) and it ruined my appetite.
wow what a surprise! This is the best Ramen place in Vancouver I kid you not. We recently were trying out all the Ramen places in GVA after our visit to Japan. This little shop, even though doesn t feel that Japanese when you step in, has the best Ramen! It s better than Danbo, better than Hori, better than Maruhachi. Just Wow!
I love the Ramen with extra egg
A great little spot for ramen on a cold blustery Vancouver night. We ordered the chicken karaage and 3 different types of ramen. The servers were extremely pleasant and made sure our teacups remained full. Highly recommend this ramen spot.
Staff very polite and did a great job checking in to top up our tea. I really enjoyed my Miso Ramen. Partner got the Chicken Ramen and said the broth was tasty, though the noodles were meh . Big thing to keep in mind is that there is very limited parking at this location - most of which is pay parking.
My boyfriend and I have come here only twice now, but each time we go, everything is beyond incredible. The food is amazing, and the service is outstanding. Probably the best customer service Ive experienced from a restaurant in my life. We will continue to come back here weekly. <3 Vegetarian options: They offer a Vegan miso soup.
Phenomenal ramen and other delicious Japanese dishes! Highly recommend the Black Garlic Ramen if youre a garlic fan. I get it every time I go! Vegetarian options: Good tofu dishes! Parking: Couple side streets with paid parking. There are two parking spots in the bank parking lot but theyre often taken
Amazing & cozy ramen place in Burnaby. We try spicy miso tantan and miso chashu ramen. Both of them are tasty and flavorful. Customers also can add more sauces and fried garlic without paying extra. Definitely will come back!
It was so delicious. Its about the same as Kyushus thin noodles! Delicious
The service was very nice. Very kind and cordial. The food however missed on the flavour and taste. Definitely needs some significant improvement to both the broth and the noodles. Sorry I guys I wish I could rate you better. It was a disappointment.
Blown away by this hidden gem as it s becoming my favorite Ramen place in Metro Vancouver. It s often overshadowed by the surrounding chain but offers a more affordable and better ramen quality. I ordered Black Ramen and noodles is nice and firm just the way I like it, the cha siu is perfectly grilled and extremely soft. But the broth is the main star which is rich but somehow not being extremely heaven at the end of the bowl. It s one of a few spots I can manage to finish the bowel because it s not too heavy. Place is extremely nice and cozy so definitely give it a try.
Super friendly staff and order was prepared quickly. Very tasty!
The person who ate the tonkotsu ramen said it smelled a bit like pork, but they said it was okay because they added spicy sauce. The miso tantan ramen was too salty for my taste, but it was okay. But the takoyaki was so delicious that it made my eyes light up. I want to go back to eat takoyaki. Ramen Its normal!
Decent vegan ramen, clean ingredients
Great ramen, fair prices. Also enjoyed the kaarage and agedashi tofu. Parking: Small parking lot, $1/hour Food : 5/5 |
Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, and amazing food. Will definitely visit again when I am in town.
Excellent food
This is one of my favourite ramen spots. The price is right and the service is really quick and friendly. Only downside is that the restaurant is very small, meaning that there will be the occasional inconsiderate patron speaking very loudly seated next to your table, which can be irritating. This is of no fault of the restaurant itself. The food is always fresh and consistent, which makes the small size of the restaurant an afterthought. Would recommend!
One of the best Raman place!
Small kitchen restaurant with good quality food and great service.
my favorite spot for ramen, get the combo with the bomb
Love this restaurant, simple menu and good taste. But the owner really needs to purchase a dehydrator for the winter. So steamed up inside and all fogged on the windows.
One of the best ramen places in the lower mainland and great service. Unlimited fried garlic as well is a nice bonus!
Best Ramen in the metrotown area, best pricing as well. Highly recommend.
Hole-in-the-wall type of ramen restaurant, and i loved it! We ordered only ramen and they were delicious. I had the miso chashu ramen, and the broth was absolutely tasty. The noodles were just as good! The meat was a little too dry in my opinion, but overall it was still delicious. Both our orders were $13 each, and Id say its pretty worth the price. Would love to come back again and try their other stuff!
Ordered the Chicken broth Ramen and Karaage for pick up. The ramen is really good with all the sauces mixed in (just wished I had asked for more of the spicy sauce). Got crispy Karaage which paired well with the sauce. The staff were nice and polite Would love to come back and try other items in the menu!
I did a take out order. First time ever from here.. The staff is super friendly.. When I was waiting for my order, the lady asked me multiple times if I want a tea or water.. I have never seen such polite and welcoming staff.. Thanks for providing all comfort there.. While I was waiting, I felt like to eat at the place.. Such a nice atmosphere.. And talking about food when I brought it home, so nicely packed with everything. Perfect combo of quantity, taste and cost. I am definitely going again there. Parking: Most parking places are HSBC bank ones. After 5pm its paid parking @ $1.00 per hour.
Ive been to so many ramen places and this one just hits the spot! They have a good menu. Their bombs from appetizers menu are sooo goood! Its a must if you re there! It gets fairly busy but thats because their ramen is delicious! Worth the wait! Even their decor is niceee! They arnt just good marketers when it comes to promoting their business but their ramen is actually good! Try it! You wont regret it
Yum! Got the chicken shoyu ramen. It was a little on the saltier side but delish! Would go back 100%
Overall, it was a well-rounded experience. I loved the tenderness of the meat and the rich flavour of the broth. The tofu could be improved as it didn t compliment the miso ramen. However, the best and the most surprisingly refreshing element of the dish was the bamboo sprouts found in the dish. It try elevated each dish.
My absolute favorite ramen place. A wonderful vegan ramen and a great bomb also. Service us very prompt.
Great little Ramen place. Not great for large groups
Rare Black Garlic Ramen with Decent Flavor Recently, I tried a rare black garlic ramen restaurant that would appeal to ramen enthusiasts. This place stands out for its unique use of black garlic as a seasoning, adding a distinctive flavor to the traditional ramen. If youre solely focused on the food itself, I recommend giving this black garlic ramen place a try. But dont expect too much from the service or the ambiance.
Absolutelly delicious!!
Flavourful food and friendly service. We had the vegan ramen, spicy agedashi tofu and nori rice balls. The fried garlic topping + sauces are delish!
The last reasonably priced ramen restaurant in or around the lower mainland. Please don t blow this spot up. It is at least on par or close to as good, as that one place downtown where you queue for 2 hours and pay 25$ per bowl. Friendly staff, good vibes.
Go everytime Im in town, always good. Fair prices. Very flavourfull
Got the black ramen, black ramen chicken broth and chicken shoyu ramen. The chicken shoyu is a bit salty. The black ramen has a nice garlic flavour. The cha su is decently thick and big. Both grilled or sous vide options are good. Not too busy at 5pm but got full by 530 on a Sunday. Seats about 20. Paid parking in the back Parking: Paid parking lot says $1 per hour PayByPhone says $2 per hour Kid-friendliness: Gave my 3.5 yr old plastic set
Always consistent even though the noodles are slightly thinner now the texture and consistency of the noodles and broth still makes ramen a perennial winner
Rice bombs and chicken karaage awesome sides. Tonkatsu ramen with rich broth is very good. Place a bit small and quite busy on a Saturday night, had to sit at bar but still comfortable and well looked after by waitress.
Perfect hole in the wall restaurant. Basic, appealing, and clean decor; attentive servers and yummy food. I had the Miso Ramen and Agedashi Tofu. The broth was rich and perfectly salty, the egg yolk on the edge of runny and the tofu sauce was thick enough to stay on the pieces.
My wife and I found this place by accident, noticed a line up outside. Finally went in one day and happy to find a great place for ramen. Service was very good, food was delicious and warm, nice on a cold or rainy day.
Nice place , good food. The black chicken ramen is good not too spicy .
We got the two tonkatsu ramens, one with sous-vide chashu, regular broth and a regular chashu, and rich broth. Both bowls were very below average and dissapointing. Broth was mushroom based and tasted worse than some instant ramens, while the chashu was dry, thin, and underseasoned. It also had a lot less sides than we were used to. You wont get nori, bamboo shoot, or even sesame seeds. For atmosphere, the inside is very steamy and stinky, it smelled like a damp dirty fish tank. It took our server 15 minutes to approach us to order, but the food came out relatively quickly. Overall, I really regret eating here for a date night when I feel like any other place could have been better. This places rating are NOT accurate for what the place is now.
Tasty and affordable ramen! The chashu don is very flavourful as well. They have a steady amount of customers but not overcrowded. Definitely recommend this place.
Fair pricing, amazing food, and very helpful and friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. Update: 9-20-2033 Better than ever, still with pricing that will surprise you with their service size and quality of food! Kid-friendliness: Child friendly bowls and utensils are provided.
It s a fantastic ramen place that you should definitely check out if you re ever in Burnaby. You may have to wait because it can get a little busy but I promise you that it s well worth the wait. I highly recommend the black garlic ramen with rich broth and grilled chashu and the rice bomb combo. They use thin noodles so you might be disappointed if you prefer thicker noodles but I think it works better in this case. The parking is a bit tricky so you may have to park in the residential area in the next block but that shouldn t hinder you from trying their ramen. Highly recommend!
Food is OK, but 2nd time being sick after eating here. Moving on to a new place for noodles
Very good. Definitely recommend it! A dish called Chashu Don was fantastic, we even came back for more because of how delicious it was Food
One of the best ramen spots in the area. The food is great and not too expensive. The service is also great.
Rice ball is great. Chicken shoyu is oily and a bit salty, less flavour. Don t like adding bean sprouts in the soup. Pork is good and tender though. Only two parking spots are free. Most likely You have to pay for parking.
Only in the area on a short trip, I had to choose between quite a few ramen/hotpot restaurants all in the same general area- but deciding on Kamamarui Ramen & Don was so worth it. The prices are amazing, even better when combined with the high quality and delicious food. Fingers are crossed that I can visit Burnaby again, because if I do, I know exactly where to eat at.
This is one of my favorite ramen places to go to when I visit the Vancouver area (I m originally from the US) but I did notice something was different this time. Last time I visited was in March 2023. My friend group only had to wait a few mins to get seated which was great considering it was a Friday night. I ordered the Chicken Shoyu ramen. The biggest difference that I noticed since my last visit was that the noodles tasted a bit different. Upon closer inspection it seems like they have switched noodle brands because the noodles used to be wavy and are now straight. I wasn t a fan of these noodles and prefer the older ones, however I still like the firmness of the noodles. This was my first time ordering the chicken shoyu ramen (previously I always got the tonkotsu ramen which I highly recommend) and I think I should have stuck with my normal order because the broth was very oily and a bit too salty for my liking. I accidentally splashed some broth on my shirt and when cleaning it, had to run it through the washer 3 times to get the oil stain out. Anyway I still highly recommend this ramen shop and I will still return even with the noodle switch. Parking: For parking you ll probably want to find metered street parking on the next street over.
They are a great place but they have no one to work separately on online orders or even a waiting area for delivery people. It takes forever for delivery. Very slow service.
Me and my friends small favourite hole in the wall ramen place in my neighbourhood. Their ramen options are yummy & tasty. Highly recommend trying their rice bomb add-on with your ramen of choice. Its heavy but if you want to change the monotony of ramen in your taste buds, its good to have on the side. Pork is tender & tasty. The servers are super friendly, attentive & fast. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice & small. My go-to when craving ramen.
Fantastic ramen at a pretty good price! Its a bit small in here, but it is very cozy, especially in the colder months. I also really enjoyed their chicken karaage to go with their ramen, so I highly recommend it :)
Had lunch at this Ramen place in end of Oct 2023. Great service. Sincere shopkeepers. Recommended dishes with good details and reasons. The Black Ramen soup base is pretty good. Pork Cha Siu was tender and well-seasoned, size was a bit small though. Overall a pretty alright experience : )
I already came here for 3 times, as I lived around here before. Today I came again and ordered black ramen (rich soup) with grilled chasu. The noodles tasted good, but the meat was not grilled enough, and the soup was a bit too salty. But it was very interesting that I will miss this ramen if I have not been there for a long while. I will come again.
Simple and clean little Japanese Restaurant. Passed by for take Outland it was available at appointed time. Food is really good.
So i found this place years ago, im taking 6+. It became my go to ramen place. But in the last 1.5-2 years i found its gone downhill. Less toppings as a default and more expensive. They changed noodles and i find the texture different now. I used to struggle to finish a bowl with combo 1 but now its not the case. My frequency decreased and now i dont even think of this place when im craving ramen. I had my first date with my partner of 7 yrs now so were both a little sad that our spot is no longer worth it..
Broth is thick and savory!Takoyaki and chicken karaage !
Previously gave 5 stars 3 years ago. Now that Kamamarui has changed their noodles to a thinner variant, theyve become so much closer to your average ramen shop. Fine for casual meals, no longer something to praise or talk about.
Price is very good, considering this period of time where everyone increased theirs. Rich broth doesnt disappoint. I always like seeing a thick layer of oil on top of my ramen. Sous vide chashu option is excellent.
not good not bad
It s our third time here at this ramen place, and we are going to keep coming back cause we love it!! We love the bomb combo( rice ball) and their fired chicken, tofu are delicious too! I will recommend having rich broth and firm noodle, and for pork cooking style I personally enjoy slow cooked!! Ohh and they also have really nice Chase Don!! If you feel hungry after the ramen you can order one and give it a try
Great little spot for some ramen! The portions and the flavors were fantastic. You can add things to your liking or opt in for *rich* broth if youre having standard chicken if you want. Which is nice. Only gripe is that is did become super humid in there at night. But I get it since its a small place.
This is one of the few decently priced ramen places left, and their ramen is fantastic! The service is good, servers are friendly and food arrives quickly. I managed to go right when they opened, and caught a rare moment where they were almost empty. Dont let my picture fool you, this place is more often packed than not, especially on weekends and around dinner time. If you go during busy times, expect to wait. The space is fairly small, so this is not the place for a large group. Small groups or solo, this place is amazing. Parking: There is a very small paid parking lot next to the building, and majority of them are dedicated to the bank during business hours. Parking is very difficult to find here.
Ordinary ramen shop but it really hits the spot on a cold day. I recommend the miso chashu ramen, rich broth, and get the chashu grilled instead of sous vide. The pork was melts like butter delicious.
Decent ramen place. Would be perfect if theres choices for the hardness of the ramen
Best Ramen in town , all it needs is parking
We ordered Tonkotsu and Miso ramen, it was quite good. Of course, its not as good as in Fukuoka and Sapporo cities that I had last year in Japan. But quite decent outside of those 2 cities. My uncle found the tonkotsu salty, but its salty like that in Fukuoka city too. Much, much better than Jinya ramen bar in downtown that is over rated ( and not good up to me)
Such a cute little place! The service and food were great, the portions are perfect and the chasiu is very tender. Love how theres hooks on the wall for bags and jackets
Hwani: The broth has a deep flavor and suits Koreans tastes well. What s disappointing is that they don t sell beer Well, I wish the quantity was a little bigger (greed). Jang Yi: First of all, I think grilled meat toppings are much better than boiled ones. Although the portion size is a bit disappointing, it was really delicious. A ramen restaurant that will satisfy both noodle lovers!
Super affordable. Super delicious Cant go wrong Food
Cute boutique Ramen restaurant.
The specialty is definitely ramen. Adding a combo like chicken karaage and takoyaki are great options. Restaurant has limited seating so not the best for large groups but turnover of customers is quick. Overall great experience. Kid-friendliness: Has scissors to cut noodles
Tasty, delicious broth, the noodle is so-so. I prefer the regular one rather than the rich one. There is a wide variety of complimentary sauces. Sometimes you have to queue in the line. Pay parking only, 3 pm until 5 pm close.
One of my favorite Ramen places. Highly recommend the miso ramen and the spicy agedashi tofu. But honestly I have never had anything from here that I did not enjoy.
