Excellent experience. Enjoyed the food and service in a very comfortable and casual atmosphere.

Small portions + big prices I seated outside and the heater turned off (based on a timer)... I was freezing and had to go inside after the attendant to have the heater turned on again... nobody cared about the heater despite of being 5C outside... absurd! Overall, food was good but far from memorable... I will not return to that Keg...

Went on a Sat, just before the end of Happy Hour. Got the Holiday Feature, Kansas City Striploin. It was an 18oz bone-in strip loin. Really good! Especially with no tax. I also got the yorki for $4. Got a thicker gravy with the yorki as well. It is always busy there as we sat on the patio with heaters. It was actually quite warm, and the service was there when needed.

We had a wonderful night celebration two birthday people on Dec 07,2024. Food are very tasty and service is amazing . Thank you our service:ENES always cheerful and helpful. We even got free birthday cakes to share with our birthday guests. We will definitely come back. Kid-friendliness: Alot of choices for kids under 12 to eat!

Pros: Great food and service. Cons: No pretty view of the city. Tables are too close together. Shouldnt have to ask other people to get out of their seat just so we can use the washroom. Edit: returned again for some prime rib which was too rare, sent it back to wait 20 minutes, and then its over cooked. edit again almost 2 years later: nothing has improved. Tables have been oriented by management to maximize seating capacity and profits rather then giving guests a reasonable amount of space. The waiter spent the entire time scrubbing his ass over our shoulders while he attempted to serve the opposite table. Its simply ridiculous. Wont be back.

I visited this restaurant for my friends birthday. Thanks to the professional and friendly staff, it was a delightful evening with delicious wine, food, and dessert! While I havent visited all KEG locations, the Burnaby and Downtown ones are my favorites. The Burnaby location has excellent parking space. If youre debating which KEG location with convenient parking to choose, I highly recommend the Burnaby branch. You wont regret it!

I just wanted to give a shout-out to our server ENES who did such a wonderful job. He was attentive, patient, and genuine. I dont think I have ever gotten such amazing service. Management, please see this and give the man a raise! We had a toddler and he went above and beyond to make sure our family (and surrounding guests) didnt have to deal with a toddler tantrum. Enes made us feel welcome and comfortable, we truly appreciate the service from this genuinely kind human! Kid-friendliness: While we waited for our entrees, Enes brought out veggie sticks and bread for our toddler. He also provided him with ice cream for dessert and our son loved it so much!

2nd time I was served rare prime rib. I thought server would check medium rare order before I received order. Gordon Ramsey would have said that the customer ordered medium rare, not raw. Dinner rolls were not automatically provided- had to request. We are regulars and disappointed in service. I think the serving job is difficult and so I should excuse this?

Went to The Keg for a celebration. We were unfortunate because the food was terrible. I ordered a prime rib, medium rare: they brought me an uncooked raw piece of meat, with no seasoning on it, just some horseradish and a liquid sauce on the side. I ordered twice baked potato on the side, there was no bacon on that potato. I didnt want my family to get annoyed, so I didnt complain about the food to the waitress (bad decision ). I ate half of my raw steak, and felt disgusted. My husband and my daughter ordered the teriyaki sirloin, which they claimed to taste too salty. My son ordered the Keg burger, it was the only okay food on our table. When the waitress came back to grab the plates, I complained about my steak being raw. Her manager offered us free dessert, we ordered cheesecake and creme brulee to take home. I didnt complain anymore (just didnt want to make my family annoyed) paid our bill (plus $25 tip for the waitress) and left. To our surprise, they gave us some stale and dried cheesecakes. Only the creme brulee was good. The worst $271 dinner Ive ever spent in my life . It was a very very unpleasant and disappoiting dinner experience for us. We would never visit The Keg restaurant, nor we advise anyone to visit this restaurant.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, it was very busy, but they offered a patio table. It s cold outside but they have heaters and blankets. The hosts were pleasant and the server (Christine) is super nice. All the other servers (guy serving the table behind) came to check up on us, along with other staff members. Always loved the keg because of their wonderful steaks, and their wonderful service as well.

Me and my fiancé went to the keg last Friday for my birthday dinner. Now I dont normally review a place a few days after, so thats how you know it was good. We had a phenomenal experience with our server Brad. It was a packed house, and he was still killing it. He gave us an excellent tour of the menu as well as the specials. I had the Kansas City steak special, and my fiancé had the New York strip. The food was excellent. It was one of the best steaks I had in a while. Would highly recommend the Kansas City steak special to everyone. I also added a side of the yorkshire pudding which was great. Then to end the night in the best way our server Brad brought us the Billy Miner Pie which is a delicious ice cream cake. The food was so good there wasnt any time for pictures. Would come back in a heartbeat if Brad was our server and we got the same quality of food. Parking: Was limited parking because of the cosco next door

We came here on Sunday evening, the food and drinks were great as usual but our experience really stood out with the amazing service we received from Christine. She was so professional and informative but also so warm and friendly! She is amazing, even though we were on the heated patio and they were so busy inside we were never without anything we needed. I hope to get served by her again!

I would say expensive, but worth it. Bring your loved one to celebrate a special occasion.

The wife and I came here on a date night/my belated birthday dinner. Waiter Ken went above and beyond, super friendly and helpful. The top sirloin steaks were cooked to perfection, soft and juicy. And they didnt skimp on the fries. Tuna tartar (ahi & avocado tower) appy was actually a fair portion and also quite tasty. Plus we got a mocha ice cream cake for dessert and it was massive! The chef even came out personally to check on us. A better experience than I expected. The only unfortunate part of the evening was the struggle of finding parking (on a Saturday evening, though, to be fair)!

Ive had a few really great experiences here lately. The bartenders are top notch. Great customer service - really take care of you. The food is excellent too, highly recommend the prime rib (give medium a shot, medium rare is a little too much for most people). If you havent been to the Keg in a while, give it a shot. Again, really great service at this location which is getting harder and harder to find these days. Good happy hour after 9pm too.

We Celebrated a 70th birthday for a friend of ours and there were six of us. Our table was ready when we got there and it was beautifully set up. Our server was CJ and she came and introduced herself and she was amazing and paid attention to all the details, and we were very happy to have celebrated at the Keg in Burnaby. Thank you for making this such a beautiful memory for our friend and all of us.

Came here for a buddys birthday dinner on a weekend and it was packed so be sure to make a reservation ahead. We got seated right away and service was fantastic with water fills and bread top ups while we chatted and waited for our meal. My buddy even got a piece of cake as dessert which was a lovely surprise.

Its been quite the fall for The Keg.... it used to be a guaranteed good prime rib and tasty Caesars, but alas no more

I had a wonderful dining experience at The Keg Steakhouse and Bar in Burnaby. The steak was absolutely delicious cooked perfectly and so flavorful! The sides complemented it well, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving a great steak and a memorable evening out!

Service is amazing, I was charged extra by mistake but it was swiftly fixed. Food is delicious as always, 100% recommend.

My prime rib dinner was tough. I thought that my knife was not sharp, used a second knife but it was the meat. They gave me another piece but no change. Even the chef said it was on the tough side. I stopped eating the second piece having I got tried trying to cut through a tough cut of meat. We were celebrating a few milestones with my family, and the meal disappointed us.

We come to the Keg often to celebrate birthdays but Sina definitely went the extra mile during this visit to make sure my mom s food was celiac safe! It made all the difference to make sure she could enjoy her food during this birthday celebration. Hope we get him as a server again and the food was all delicious of course! Sina also offered to take pictures for families which was so nice as it s easy to feel like a bother when asking for things like that.

Gracious front desk staff. Attentive and friendly wait staff (thanks, Lisa!) Our steaks were done to perfection with delicious accompaniments. I have eaten in a lot of fine dining establishments and I have to say that the steak dinner I had at this Keg was one of the best I have ever had! Well done!

Came here for an early dinner with a friend on Sat. Server was very friendly, funny and accommodating to our needs and requests. She said we were the nicest low-maintenance table shes served. Overall a great dining experience.

Everything was great, except there are people who are abusing the KEGs parking space, people who go shopping at Costco and park in the KEGs parking lot, the KEGs staff dont do anything to prevent them. So when I come to spend 240 dollars I expect them to provide me with a parking space. Otherwise I will be going somewhere else. Parking: Terrible, just terrible. I spent 240$ for the night, had to look for a parking outside of their parking lot.

I came here to have my favourite dishes, but I couldn t enjoy them as a bunch of rats were running around my table at the patio at the Burnaby location. The staff apparently knew about them but didn t warn us and didn t really care when told them

Let me begin by saying this review is solely for CHRISTINE (our server, who, could easily be a model/actress and not ever have to look back at waiting tables cause of how tall, wonderful and beautiful she is). If it wasn t for her, we d never have been able to enjoy our time celebrating our special occasion. From the moment she introduced herself to us to every single time she went above and beyond with her service, kind nature, amazing smile and even better people skills! She undoubtedly deserves a raise from her manager, Taylor (thanks you re also a nice guy and it d be great if you genuinely considered that raise we mentioned for Christine). Once again, THANK YOU Christine!

Had Matt as our server. FABULOUS SERVICE, he was amazing, had a couple of issues with our food and he was able to get them resolved and came back to check. Were celebrating and they gave us a nice surprise as well! Honestly would love to come back and have Matt again, he was fantastic!

Our last experience here wasnt the greatest so the manager, Sully invited us back to give them another chance. This second visit was absolutely amazing. The food was exactly what I expected; the service was exceptional; and the manager Sully? No words. Wow! An absolute gentleman. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Baked potatoes and lobster tails are heaven on earth

The food was amazing. The wine was amazing. And the waiter was hilarious. We got our food in a reasonable. We had reservations, so we didnt have to wait. The parking lot was full. We managed to get a spot after circling for 5 minutes. It was 7:00, dinner time, so that made sense.

Got in early with a large group for a great family meal get-together. The kids meal was the biggest hit of the night. It comes in courses so the kids always have something coming & dont get bored. The kids steak was a very good portion & value. All of the food was really good, my Chicago style rare rib steak was delicious! I wish there was a bit more to the miners pie. Its just tall ice cream with oreo crust, no whipped cream or cherry or anything. Big but boring, too bad. The grilled pineapple mocktail was good, but a little heavy on the apple cider. The vegan in our group said the Chipotle field loaf was yummy as well. Derrick gave us great service & recommendations, thanks so much!

I was surprised for my birthday by being brought here and there were 10 of us and the food was scrumptious like always. It wasn t my first time at this location and everything was good like I remembered. The servers were good at their job and made a nice dinner party even nicer. I ll be in again. Thanks

Horrible experience! We waited close to a half hour for our food and it wasnt that busy. When food finally came my wifes steak was not medium rare, it was (bloody). Sent it back there was NO apology from the server AMANDA. I was almost finished my meal by the time replacement came so we didnt get to eat together. Steak still wasnt cooked properly but didnt want to send it back because waited long enough so brought it home to our dog. Server AMANDA was unatentive and wasnt around alot we waited 15 minutes to receive our bill once we asked. Paid $106 for a terrible meal that wasnt worth $1.06.

I came here last night for my birthday the food was great but I was not happy that our server kept taking our plates away without asking if we were finish which we were not. He took the mushroom Neptune away and I had told him i was not done with it and then he took the bread away without asking and he came back and took the butter away while I still had food and lobster on my plate. Disappointed.

Great prime rib!

We went to celebrate my husbands birthday. We both order prime Rib dinners. Ive never had this horrible experience where I was served the end piece . 3/4 of a 10oz prime Rib was all fat. I explained that I wasnt going to eat this, since I dont eat fat. He did bring another piece but he also said that he was aware of all the fat that was on my original plate. This turned me off. They did have a mud pie to celebrate his birthday. They did cover the cost of the calamari. Tod I know you tried to make it up to us, but you did see the fat and still delivered it to me.

Came here for a double bday celebration with family. Food was decent, but my prime rib unfortunately had a A LOT of gristle and fat. It was also quite warm, and it turns out that 2 out of their 3 AC units was broken which made it uncomfortable. Our server was amazing and had great energy and friendly attitude.

Had dinner on Sep 16, 2024. Its a noisy place! I booked online for 2 persons and were seated in a 2 x 3 ft table. The prime rib and sirloin we ordered were average, nothing surprising, escargot was too salty. Its similar standard to White Spot but with higher prices!

Vegetarian options: Meat loaf and Shepards pie are amazing. So much flavor. Food

The service here is excellent however the food not so much. We ordered calamari which was lacking flavour, it didn t seem like the kitchen used any salt for it. For the mains we had a medium ribeye and a medium rare ny peppercorn steak. The ribeye came medium rare and the ny peppercorn came with nearly no peppercorns and rare. The food was edible but lacking compared to all the other keg locations I have visited. I would not be returning here and recommend for those who do attend to expect their steaks to not be cooked per their request.

I visited this place because a local said it was their favorite place in the past. It was a good experience as the server Michael responded brightly and kindly in a fancy atmosphere. Calamari is basic fried food with little seasoning, so its delicious when dipped in sauce, but its not the best. The steak was delicious I ordered something without steak sauce, but I was worried because I needed sauce, so Im so grateful that they got some for me. I also had wine and it went well together and was really good. 8oz was quite a lot. There was a 6oz Oscar with seafood and it was recommended to me. If I have the next chance, I want to try the Oscar!

Overall, great service and food. Weve ventured out here twice now, and weve ordered different items each time. First were the ribs and steak, the second time was the prime rib sandwich and off their seasonal menu; lobster and lobster roll (delicious btw). The only thing is that both times, in the summer btw, the restaurant inside gets very warm, which makes it a bit uncomfortable while eating.

First time coming here as a tourist. The Keg was recommended by my aunt & uncle who toured us here around Vancouver This restaurant was amazing. Everything about it was just phenomenal!! Our waiter / server Gio was so friendly and accommodating! To be honest, all staff who served us was friendly. I m definitely coming back here in the future again when I come on holiday.

Got the fillet with rice and the iceberg wedge with blu cheese- we split the creme brulee. Perfect!

Ordered prime rib and a twice baked potato. I remember getting the twice baked potato a few years ago; it came with sour cream and other toppings which was delicious. This time, it tasted a burnt and flavourless. Prime rib was cooked nicely but knife wasn t sharpened so had to use some force. Service was friendly but we waited quite a while for our table even though we made reservations.

Ridiculous to think this restaurant is not well equipped to provide good customer service to families with young children. We requested a high chair for our toddler and after being seated, we waited for quite some time only to be informed they had no high chairs available. Our server mentioned there is a big party reservation that has 3 high chairs. Needless to say, we left extremely disappointed having to rush and finish our meal. To pay what we did for our meal without ever having a high chair is beyond unacceptable. The server apologized and we recognize it s not his fault, but something needs to change to ensure no other family has an awful experience such as ours. Needless to say we won t be back.

My mom and I visited this Keg location last night and had a completely stellar evening. Our server was on point for every moment, timing impeccable, even creatively rearranging as plates filled our small two-top. We ordered the 20oz Rib steak to split between us and the kitchen kindly split the sides in the kitchen. It was definitely plenty of gorgeous medium-well beef for us! We ordered both lobster and crab sides and were delighted with how wonderfully everything was prepared and presented. Dessert was the Creme Brule and it was one of the best weve ever had. In fact, just before dessert arrived, we reminissed about our favourite Brule ever - the same place for both of us - and were thrilled when this one actually became the front-runner! I planned to take interesting photos throughout the meal, but only got pics of the bread and dessert. Ah well, I had the best intentions, but, after all, seafood needs to be eaten when its hot. Haha. My only constructive comment would be about the bread. Its a generous sourdough, looks gorgeous, is served hot, and the whipped butter tastes spactacular... but its a ciabatta style and doesnt work well to sop up lovely jus or get that extra seafood flavoured butter at the end of the meal. A minor drawback, is all. Thanks Keg. Well be back.

Warm environment for my father in laws birthday

This should have been an excellent experience, just like the other Keg restaurants across Canada we have visited, however it was destroyed purely because of a large group of people who were so noisy with their kids: - we arrived here on the rainy day and the staff asked us if we wanted to sit on their terrace where it was though nice and warm: dont ask me twice, I love being in a quiet place with slow music, rain and having polite conversation - we ignored the very large table right near my back and noticed there were only 2 other quiet tables - however while waiting for the food, more loud people were coming to this table, shouting in their language together with their unruly kids: why would the restaurant assume that anybody can eat in such a noise? - we asked to go inside where it was dead quiet noticing more of the people from the loud party were arriving while the 2 tables occupied with polite people also left - my steak was not that great and the whole experience could have been avoided if the staff was to dedicate a room to this partying people..... or they thought that no one will be able to eat with the screaming? Not good.

Food, as always, was amazing! we also had a server who cracked us up.

Couples date night and could not be happier with the ambience on the patio and our amazing server Willow! Willows attention to detail, suggestions and sense of humour was affectionate! Highly recommend Keg Burnaby and their super friendly and hardworking staff! Our appies (Mushroom Neptune, Cheese bread and Caesar Salad ) great start to our evening dinner. Steaks were perfectly cooked to order and flavourful! Billy Miner Pie ended our evening out !

I was really looking forward to enjoying a full cake of Billy Miner Pie with my friends and family from this location, but unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. Unlike other Keg locations Ive visited, they refused to add the toppings for me, the male host didnt even offer to check with the kitchen. His attitude was unfriendly and made me feel unwelcome. I found it difficult to add the toppings myself before, as the syrups get stuck to the container. Despite their claim of having unique packaging, its the same standard plastic packaging used by other Kegs! The worst part is they used multiple mini containers for the toppings. Such waste of plastic use. They also increased the price from $45 to $60. Overall, the poor customer service was unexpected, especially given the high prices of this restaurant. I used to eat in at this location at least 7 times a year. Will not be coming back.

Altho we did takeaway and it was early the venue was very loud. This is not to take away anything from our most excellent server and the yummy burgers. Which, BTW, took 2 days and a warm-over in the airfryer to finish.

Went for my husbands 50th Birthday, amazing night, they never let us down, the service we had from Kayne was excellent! We always seem to have an super fun time when we go to this Keg, Kayne was so fun, he had a great sense of humour and kept us laughing all night. Can not wait to go back! Took my staff out for a thank you dinner for all their hard work. Keg has always been reliable and consistent. Food was perfect and service was fantastic. My staff want to return next year. Prime Rib 18oz shown with shrimp. Shrimp was to die for! Will return again. Parking: Decent size parking lot but by 6pm it was nearly full. Not a whole lot of parking and as i left the restaurant, no parking and people were parking farther away on the street nearby.

Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had the prime rib classic dinner. Salads have gotten smaller, which, I guess is fine, considering were here for the meat. Not much to say, large parking area with some street parking. A little tricky to get to. If travelling north on Willington, then an easy right turn. If traveling south on Willington, then its a left before the McDonalds and a right to a traffic circle near costco and continue south to the keg.

Brendan provided us with great service. The food was excellent. It was just a lovely experience from start to finish.

I havent been to The Keg in years, mostly because of my steak never turning out the way I like it. This time around, steak was okay, but not worth 45 dollars I gave 3 stars for atmosphere because it was stifling in there. AC was not working properly or at all. Not my choice for a nice dinner out - my daughters choice.

The steak is great with medium rare. The soup is so salty.

Classic Keg experience. Friendly staff, the steak was tasty, and you can never go wrong with the Billy Miner Pie!

The filet mignon was seared well and cooked to temp. Prime rib was excellent, cool bright red, slightly rare than medium rare. Service was a bit slow. Long waits in between for drinks, bread, dessert. It was a busy and bustling Friday night. Prices have gone up. Good vibes. Will return.

10 times better then cactus club and earls.

I went to this keg and the service here is horrible I cant speak about all the waitresses with the one that has served us she was very rude and disrespectful in the food was not worth it I ordered the prime rib and it was mostly all five hardly any meat it had no flavor no salt nothing the fries were old and oily

The KEG has always been a solid choice for a nice get-together. I took my wife for her birthday to this place and I m gonna say it was an amazing time for us. Great food, excellent hospitality, and a tasty birthday treat . A big shout out to Brad, our host, who made this day sweeter for us!

This keg is busy. But the food is good. Love chicago style! Overall great place to be. They have a big parking lot but unfortunately, they allow all the costco customers to park there, so you will have a hard time finding parking at this location. Its not their fault costco customers decide to park there when there is a massive costco parking lot next door that is always full.

Anisa was incredible. We were blown away by the quality of her service, by far the best we have ever received in our entire lives. Boyfriend and I came for our anniversary and she offered complimentary champagne and everything we ordered came out promptly and perfectly. We will definitely be back and request her!

Lovely dinner tonight. I ve worked in the restaurant industry for ten years now and everything was on point. My mother and I had Christine as our server in the lounge/bar area. She has attention to detail and friendly professional service. Will be back

The waiter was excellent! The dinner, in my opinion, was just ok, I was a little disappointed in the taste. And, it was pretty noisy in the restaurant, not to my liking.

Had us back after a failed anniversary dinner. They went above and beyond this time. Food and service was fantastic. Thank you, we will be back.

Went for a birthday celebration. Steak dinner was great as always, and our server was wonderful!

***Excellent Experience Tonight! We had the filet mignon and the prime rib sandwich. Both with mashed potatoes, salad and onion rings on the side. All so good, couldnt finish it all so took the rest home. Brad our server was so kind, funny and you could just tell he was really enjoying the moment, with all his tables! We had not been here for years but will be coming back very soon! Oh and Brad has a twin brother Todd working there so dont mix them up!

Disappointing, as others have noted. We came for a celebration, but for the third time in a row, my wifes steak was improperly cooked. She ordered it to be medium, but instead it came very close to rare. She also ordered mashed potatoes, but instead received a baked potato! Our server, while friendly, didnt show up again to close to the end of our meal, so there was no opportunity to send my wifes dinner back. She was apologetic, and obviously told the Assistant General Manager about not just our current problem but the previous ones as well - as he came by the table with the bill, with my wifes steak taken off the total as a courtesy. He also mentioned that the next time we come by, we should ask for him. While I appreciate the gesture, I really shouldnt have to go to any restaurant to ask for the Asst. GM to make sure we get a properly cooked meal. And while we appreciated the courtesy gesture, we dont set out to go to a steak restaurant with intentions of spending $200 for 2 people to have ongoing, issues with just getting a steak cooked to order. I dont know what kind of quality control is lacking in this kitchen - its like they are in the tech industry & hope to hire 25 yr olds with 20 years of experience as their cooks for a cheaper wage. I mean, this is basic stuff - cook the steak to the proper temperature, and dont screw up the sides on top of it. We have really tried hard to love this Keg, but the old saying of 3 strikes & you are out is applicable. And btw - dont bother ordering surf & turf - you will be sadly disappointed, as shrinkflation has come home to the lobster tail :-(
