Good service. Food is delicious and fast. Special price is very good. 3 items with miso soup delicious and only one very special price. have so many items to choose too. It is very good Japanese food restaurant their are hidden in the corner of street flowers tree very easy to find it Its my favorite one Dietary restrictions: They have a special lunch sale of Samwa dishes. The price is very cheap. The food is delicious and I recommend that you eat more of it

Definitely my go to for delicious sushi. I prefer to call ahead and pick up. The staff is always so welcoming and friendly and the prices are terrific.

There is no question that the sushi is good, but they exploit the courier and do not transfer the money to the courier. shame on you and your service.

The sashimi is always fresh and the aburi oshis are to die for. Sometimes the floors are sticky hence the 3 star review, otherwise, itd be a 4+

Decent Sushi place but they ve messed up my order several times. They also use A LOT of rice in their sushi rolls.

The food was great, came out quickly, and was really fresh. We found the prices a bit more expensive than places we usually visit. However, the quality was good. Parking: It was our first time in this location, so we were not very familiar with parking options.

I booked for a family of 4 on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was not too busy at night time which was a good sign. The food came earlier than i expected and I really enjoyed the sushi bento box which was superb. Would come again next time! The managers were nice, and they had good appreciation for us.

Best sushi in Brentwood area

The food quality was good; we had an all-you-can-eat menu. I believe they use more rice in their sushis compared to other places; they made us pay extra for two plates that we couldnt finish.

This place is dirty with poor service and very low quality food. It is not worth a visit regardless of the cost.

The salmon sashimi was unfresh and had a weird almost rotting taste, could tell it was froze thawed. But besides the low quality food with an absurd price tag, the business itself has bad practices. I ordered take out for $90 the waitress automatically added additional $10 tip for the takeout order not giving you an option to choose your tip amount after making you wait another 20 minutes after telling you your order is ready. Overall , this kind of poor practice is reflected in the quality of food they serve as well

Nice space, a great location, and the staff are very kind. The food was tasty and it was nicely served. Would give it 5 stars if it wasnt for the loud background pop music. Best sushi place in Brentwood right now.

I ordered dynamite and California rolls. Were very delicious and fresh. Prawn might have been a little more hot but it is ok. Love this place.

Been here a handful of times. First time, the food was very mediocre. Decided to try it again about a year later- much better. Been there twice recently. Food is consistent. Sashimi is fresh. Reasonable pricing, good bang for buck. Would go again.

The food I ordered I did not enjoy much. Ika karage looks good but it was really hard to chew. I brought it home and it was better after grilling. Parking not so great but not too bad. Its a short walk but you may enjoy the stretch of cherry blossoms during that time of year. Metered parking 30mins max.

My go to place for a reason!

I love their tuna lover roll... I keep coming back for it cause its really good!! Service is efficient and friendly as well... my go-to sushi in the neighborhood!

This restaurant gets a solid satisfactory rating - which you could really take or leave at this point. I know this joint gets frequented for nearby businesses for lunch. However, this wouldn t necessarily be my go to spot. The staff are nice which is always a plus in my books but I ll find a sushi quality to be a little different to my liking. Their agedashi tofu is one of my fav appy s and their dragon/caterpillar (I forgot lol) roll was good too. I find their sushi to be on the smaller size for the price so that s mostly the reasoning for my rating. Their sashimi is soso and quite small as well. I haven t had too many of their other bento/entree dishes so take my review with a grain of salt. I know there are definitely coworkers that enjoy this place - it just isn t a home run for me.

Its our neighborhood sushi place! Always there and always reliable, with reasonably priced sushi. Its what my wife and I go for when we cant think of anywhere else to eat and it never disappoints.

The food is always fresh, the service is fast and friendly, and you cant beat their 3-item special.

This was some of the best Sushi I have ever had. I was extremely satisfied. The food was prepared quickly. It was not very expensive for sushi and the flavors were extraordinarily.

Have been ordering here for some time now, and I always order the same thing. So when I placed my order as is usually do, and even verified by ingredients I was extremely disappointed that I did not received what I ordered and paid for. The restaurant offered to replace the item. Or how I look at it give me the item that I paid for but didn t receive. It totally ruined my meal and doesn t make up for the error, as the item they messed up was the more expensive roll and they gave me a cheap roll instead. I couldn t even eat what they gave me it was terrible. I feel scammed. Prices have gone up, quality going down. Disappointing all around Lots of other options in the area

This has been my local sushi spot for the last few years and it is still my favourite sushi in Vancouver/Burnaby. The value for money is excellent and really fast service. It keeps me coming back! The croquets are a standout.

Quality has dropped significantly over the last year

Went there with my girlfriend after looking for sushi spots near where I was, and this place was rated highly by a lot of people. After eating there, I can see why people like it so much. The food was in good portion and the quality was great too. They have a cool build-a-combo where you pick 3 items and a miso soup for 13$. Really cant go wrong with that! Also had the tuna tataki and salmon aburi. Overall had a positive experience, and will definitely try again if Im craving sushi near brentwood!

Good lunch spot

Its a Korean-Japanese sushi restaurant. Something more variety to try than the usual sushi place.

Ordered online, got the confirmation via email and drove around for half an hr till the order gets ready. When I showed up they said they did not receive any order request. Had to stand there for another 25 mins to get the food. Very inconvenient.

I ordered takeout and it was pretty good. Service was very friendly and the order was on prepared quickly. The sushi was good but not great. No major complaints, it just wasnt as good as some other restaurants nearby.

Their teriyaki is delicious and sizzling from the grill. A little too sizzling to be placed so close to me and splattered juices and sauce all over my phone, hands and arms. Agedashi tofu was pretty average. The drinks are pretty overpriced for a restaurant and the same amount as you would pay to drink at a bar or cinema. We would come back again but maybe not to drink!

Vegetarian options: Tofu bento box

Plate is so hot. It burns the food. And waitress tells me that its normal. I have to ask them to bring a normal plate.

I have happily ordered the Tofu Teriyaki numerous times. The tofu pieces are thick and dense laying on top of a bed of bean sprouts and a few broccoli florets. The teriyaki sauce isn t too salty; it seems like a good balanced meal.

One of my go to places to grab a quick bite at reasonable cost. Ive also ordered here through skip the dishes and theyre packaging is on point. Service is very good. Food is well put together and tastes good. April 2022 - most places have jacked up their prices to align with inflation and supply chain issues and material shortages etc but Sushi Yoi has kept their prices pretty reasonable while maintaining the same quality and portions as before and good service as before. Well done :)

Ordered from Doordash, as it seemed like it was good value. Unfortunately most of the nigiri sushi was not that fresh, wouldn t order again.

We regularly visit family and have come her a few times because it s nearby and it s normally pretty good. But this time they were clueless. I took my Sister here on sat and we specifically said she was celiac and asked what was gluten free, And the staff did not seem to know or understand. But brought us the gluten free soy sauce. She ordered a spicy tuna roll and 2 oshi sushi rolls- ( both of which she can order normally from anywhere without issue). The spicy tuna roll came out ans before she ate it I noticed it had tempura peices in it. We told the waitress ans she said that was normal and how it comes. (I ve never once seen a spicy tuna roll with anything other than tuna/ spicy mayo/ rice/ nori) We asked to have it replaced with a tuna maki roll with spicy mayo. And asked to verify that her other oshi roll had nothing on it that had gluten and they said yes. That it only had mayo and jalapeño on top. After eating a few bites we noticed the sauce ontop and asked about it . Ans it s a soy/ brown sugar sauce. ( the second ingredient in soy sauce is gluten). We were entirely unhappy and she couldn t eat any of her dinner and ended up being sick that night from her Celiac disease/ gluten allergy. besides removing the first tuna roll from our order they mad no concessions to make up for their other mistakes or apologize. They should educate themselves on their menu and how to deal with allergens.

A way too busy..

Not authentic but will still eat here. Reminds me of fujiya. Tempura in dynamite rolls are frozen tempura and the yam tempura is very browned due to old oil (still tastes fine depending on your liking). The service is very good! Tea refills at the right times!

Ordered the daily special with nigiri sushi. I understand prices going up, but don t understand the sushi becoming paper thin. I unfortunately live close by or would not be a repeat customer but will walk a couple of blocks to sushi garden when Im able to

Super slow with ubereat!! Hungry? Dont even think about ordering here. One time we order around 7 delivered at around 9pm!! Toke them 2 hours and 3 drivers gave up on waiting. Today order 6:15pm and arrived just before 8pm, total joke. If you cant handle the volume then just dont do ubereat! Wasting our time and the drivers time..nonsense!

This is a Japanese restaurant with a very good value for money. Its also the restaurant we go to most often. Serve fast. Although I can only take out now, the food is still fresh when I take it home, and the service attitude is nice. I love their Yellowtail Sashimi and Mango Sushi.

dec 2016, fresh food, great service and not crowded. Feb 2021, portions are way smaller. Filler rice. Filler crunchy stuff. Sashimi is half the size of 2016. Can no longer recommend this place.

Decent sushi here but not amazing

Nothing super great, but I also wondered if I ordered the wrong things. Unagi aburi, super volcano roll, inari, masago, and agedashi tofu, $40ish. Aburi rice was pretty wet, and is was in danger of falling apart every time I picked it up. Still, was tasty regardless and price was decent. Going to try a bento box next time and skip the aburi.

We moved to Vancouver from Surrey and missed our old sushi hangout place! Found this and were not disappointed at all. As a vegetarian, there is more than Avocado rolls & cucumber rolls and they definitely delivered more and so tasty! Evergreen roll surprised us with such good taste. We also ordered a yakisoba and a tofu teriyaki that was equally good and well portioned. Enough for my next days lunch too. We will back soon!

Good price quality ratio! Although theyve increased their prices due to covid which is understandable but theyre still reasonable pricing compared to other Japanese restaurants. My main get are their sushi combos, bentos and appetitizers~

Dissapointing Japanese food, we found it similair to grocery store sushi, which was also a mistake to try. Most likely will not return.

Excellent food, fast service, and friendly staff who continuously refills hot tea for you before the cup is empty! Their spicy sashimi sauce is a classic, teriyaki is well-seasoned, and their rolls are superb. The place is also usually quiet, and staff is very accommodating. I saw them move tables around to let someone eat alone as well. The cherry on top - prices are reasonable too. Will definitely be returning.

Lots more food for your buck compared to other sushi places and its still really good quality stuff too. I had a fantastic experience :) will go again

Tuna tatami salad is good, very big portion. However, please dont put orange in there..... make the taste weird, and it doesnt help plating. Please pay attention to packaging. Hot food always melted the foam boxes.

Excellent menu, good food... I was a bit disappointed in the quality. My sashimi salad was chunks of iceberg lettuce instead of mixed greens like I have had at every other sushi restaurant in the lower mainland. I suggest switching to decent greens. It makes a huge difference in the flavor and quality.

Pretty good sushi. I had a party tray and 2 bento boxes. Ordered for take out and was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes. However, it ended up being 40 minutes instead. The food was decent.

Sushi Yoi is one of my favourite sushi restaurants in the lower mainland. I have been going to this restaurant for almost 10 years now. They have an excellent menu and you can order on their website to pick up your food if you are I a hurry. The staff are friendly and the chef has some amazing creations of his own to try. They have deals - all day special where you can pick 3 from a select menu for $12.95. It is an excellent deal if you are in a hurry and want to pick quick. My favourites: Agadashi Tofu - I order it every time. Deal Fried Roll - they have 4 deep fried rolls to choose from. Pick anyone of them and your mouth will be happy. Tuna Lover - If you love tuna this is a yummy must. Deluxe Salmon Oshi- oh so umami In the end if you dine in a pick up your food from Sushi Yoi you are in for a win. But whatever you do - do not order through Skip The Dish. Somehow Skip always messes up the order and makes Sushi Yoi look bad.
