Bubble World has forever earned a special place in my heart. The first thing youll notice is the friendly and responsive staff. The second is the beautiful interior design. My go-to orders are usually the matcha ice cream slush with pearls, chicken teriyaki fried rice, or the salty peppery nuggets and takoyaki, all incredibly delicious and mouth-watering. In my humble opinion, Bubble Worlds slushes are the best in the Lower Mainland. They blend the ice nice and thin, curate just the right amount of sweetness, and prepare the pearls with the perfect chewy consistency. This place is always the first destination I have in mind when friends want a sweet treat!

The egg pancakes and fried rice are delicious and very Taiwanese. However, the prices of egg pancakes and toast are on the high side. Overall, I recommend them. You can eat them when you miss Taiwan.

the server wendy is rude, i ordered 2 bubble tea and 1 takoyaki. She said we can t dine in.

Salty peppery chicken was good, flavorful, crunchy. Bubble tea is okay, typical bbt.

Considering the location and opening hours, the food quality is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. The hotpot is about $20 and the meat is quite filling. If I have to say something bad, the hot pot soup base is a bit bland and the Taiwanese pork belly is greasy.

Worst bubble tea ever!

It was a busy night and I waited over 40 minutes for a table. I was sitting in a seat right beside the door and when I came up to the front to ask them about the wait. They said that they tried calling me but I didnt come up. I asked how long it would be for the next table and they let us sit 5 minutes afterwards. There was six of us and they wanted us to sit in two different booths that werent even beside each other. I tried to ask to just pull up a chair to the edge and they said no. When given utensils, they gave us all disposable and flimsy items while every other table has real dishes. They gave our food our later than other tables that ordered similar dishes and it felt as if they were deliberately ignoring us. It was a terrible experience with customer service but the food was okay. I felt as if the employees were deliberately trying to avoid our group as we were bigger in number and it was a busy night, however, that does not excuse the way they behaved towards us.

Fish fillet is top tier!! Their sauce completely matches it, which is very important.

The food was great, we always go here when we hungry but today we got disrespectful from the staff,, we were thinking to dine in or not because the place a bit full, so we think which table we can sit but the staff higher the voice to us asking for dine or to go. Before it the other staff already asked nicely but this guy really acted so bad. If you are in bad mood don t bring it to work please be professional.

I went there with my family because it was a place full of memories from when they were young. The inside of the store had an old feel and looked ordinary, but the menu was really delicious, and the person wearing glasses was very kind and helpful, so it was an even better experience. pork? Hawaiian fried rice topped with pineapple (pineapple fried rice, but the pineapple flavor is not too strong) and sandwich chicken are the best! The taro milk tea was also delicious~~

Got my takeout and the chicken wasnt packed with my noodles. Called back to ask for my chicken but as soon as the staff answered they said we are closed and hung up on me... I dont expect to have top tier service at a Bubble World but wow lol I can only laugh about it This has been my go-to location for years but this is the worst experience :( Edit: apologized and gave us credit for next time. Kitchen was closed so plain noodles it is tonight lol

Great service and great prices

The food was quite good, but the staff seemed too busy and didn t have much time for each customer. The waitress felt rushed and lacking in patience. I ordered wonton soup, milk tea, and tofu dessert. Be aware, the tofu dessert was served in a milk tea cup instead of a bowl, which is how it s typically served in China. Food

they ran out of pearl :(( their fried chicken was very fresh. The interior of the establishment is decently renovated, but their outdoor tables and bench are severely lacking.

theyre open until 11:30, but refuse to serve drinks after 11... Whats the point of being open if youre not selling anything? Ive been to the robson location many times, always able to get a drink right up until close.

For both take out and dine-in, the food has consistently been a great quality, while service is also friendly and helpful. For ordering take out, the only annoyance at times is the communication errors with the ladies staff due to language barriers, the plexiglass barrier, on top of the high noise atmosphere during busy times causing order problems. But I return anyways (since they are greatly missed whenever they temporarily close to renovate).

I couldnt go anywhere else since I tasted Bubble World BURNABYs bubble tea. They always make high-quality tapioca pearls. You should visit this place if you really enjoy bubble tea. I really hope you guys reopen soon... This is a great bubble tea restaurant. Be sure to eat Yeoptjiptang and bubble tea here. You will never regret it.

A casher who works on evening shift is nice. Everytime I order items to-go in the evening(usually Monday), I meet her. She is very sweet which makes me feel comfortable visiting there more often than before. Bubble world has a good cashier to welcome customers for sure. And sometimes I miss when I dined in around 1-2am before pandemic.

I particularly like Da Touzais beef noodles because the meat can be removed, which is a good choice for me who dont like meat. However, every time I want to change the noodles to udon, it is very troublesome and I need to call the store to change it. If I am lucky, I can get through. , the clerk will say that Uber can make a note, but I never found the option to make a note, so I have to call. The point is that the phone is always busy, and it depends on luck to get what I want to eat... I m really helpless about this problem When can the store confirm that Uber has a note and answer the call immediately...

Came here for lunch. Got chicken with rice, spicy noodle soup and a marinated egg. All tasted delicious. The price was fair and they gave a huge portion of chicken. The server (I think his name might be steven according to the bill), was very friendly and quick. Very very great person as a server. Parking here is pretty difficult. Street parking is always full and there s construction around the area at the moment.

Beware!! I came with my family last weekend and ordered their pork dish and got food poisoning. That same night I threw up 8 times. It was so bad I couldnt get out of bed for 3 days already. At this point dont even know when i will get better. Body ache, fever, chills and lots of trip to bathroom. To the restaurant if you are reading this please be cautious with the your standard of sanitary. I can say I will never return. Its not worth the pain.

The food was not bad at all. Service was good. But the restaurant really needed an update. Table and floor r sticky, and the seats r mostly spilt apart.

Some of the freshest pearls I ve ever had at a bubble tea restaurant, brown sugar milk tea 10/10. Staff were friendly as well.

What a hidden gem. We ordered 6 dishes to share between 4 people and the bill was under $90. We were so full and had plenty of leftovers. Would definitely come here again. Food was fresh, flavourful, hot and spicy!

I go to this place twice a month and I love it. The fried rice with shrimps is really good. And the service is nice as well.

We ordered their beef brisket and tendon, with rice. We are so disappointed cause the meat is not enough, just like 5 pieces and small cut,for $14.95. So sad, it s just a terrible experience, never go back here again.

This use to be the spot 10-13 years ago. Lineups out the door, packed every night, always had excellent food for a good price and well presented. I introduced so many friends to this place back then. My partner and I went here the other night and oh boy was I disappointed. The place is FILTHY. Dust just caked on top of itself, handprints and smears all over glass, everyone who works there has a low vibe, run down, understaffed and all wearing sweaters/sweatpants. It looks like a low end mall cafeteria that survives off of takeout from holding onto their original recipes. It s unfortunate that they don t care to invest in themselves and their staff to keep up with what it once was. Still great food and there are other good bubble worlds elsewhere but just sad to see a thriving business loose its pride and value.

We ordered whos from this location many never had a problem before until we found whats inside the earl grey milk tea with grass jelly and pudding could not believe my eyes while we found a giant tea bag the the one that use to make a big pot of tea hidden inside my drink never had a problem this before we order more than $80 food and drinks we call to let me know what was going the lady told us you want a refund or a store credit or come in and make a new drink for us I just asked for a store credit for next time she went to talk to the manager instead of speaking English to the manager she spoke in Chinese 17 minutes she comes back and said no store credit or refund and tried to tell her this is what they put inside that drink people like their drink to be extra flavour but I know for a fact I ordered as many time I just look at you and never had this bag inside a drink before I think they cut corners just leave the bag in and you paid the same amount for the drink last inside I dumped the rest to drink out into a different cup and put the key back inside out water filled it up top and pulled it out into another cup take tea bag out pour the water back inside could not believe my eyes three finger length it could be drink inside the topping instead its a wasted space they try to tell her that if you drink has this bag inside when you order anything with tea PS liars

Had lunch here for 3 people. Nothing to rave about and just average. The salty peppery chicken nuggets are a classic but it isnt over the top good. Bubble tea is not bad - had the taro slush. Other dishes we had include: deep fried shrimp, pork ears, pork and squid dish, egg rolls. Again - Average and dont expect to be wowd. Taste again was average but worth the stop for a bubble tea and chicken nuggets.

Decent prices for lunch and taste is very consistent. Ive always gone with them when we cant think of stuff to eat. Recent find would be roasted fried rice with cheese on top. I might blame them for my recent weight gain. Most recent visit I ordered the fried fish fillet on rice. This is the first time in my life that I had this without the tar tar sauce. If this was intentional then inwo t order it anymore. I was so dry after this.

I ordered two fish fillets on Uber, they always give me the white sauce without me telling them many times. But today they didn t give me any and tell me to contact Uber. Uber don t do anything about it and wasted my time and my money for this experience. Don t ordered on Uber, they won t do anything.

I usually order on Ubereats. I really like the porkchop sandwich, I do like their slush as well. The reason for the 2 stars is because so many times I ordered a slush but for some strange reason they make me a milk tea. I even leave notes on Ubereats to make me a slush but they still make me a milk tea. I think the employees are not reading the orders correctly. I believe it said Milk tea at the top of the receipt. Then at the bottom it said change to slush for 50 cents extra. They are not reading the full order.

Went with my friends. Definitely not bad, but dont see why this place is so popular like that. Kimchi hot pot... I was expecting something better than that.

Ordered take out twice..... First time had their fried nuggets and rice.... Very small portion and I was merely ok. Gave it another chance and for 17 bucks, I got traditional Taiwanese Three Sauce Squid. Very chewy squid, very small palm-sized portion of rice, and still hungry afterwards. I feel so silly for giving them a second chance.

I love places where you can get bubble tea and food!! Especially if you can order odd bits like tripe, chicken gizzards, pig ears! the service was good but we did have to wave them down a couple times to get service.

Heavy on the flavour however the portion for the price is very good compare to other restaurants in the area. I would ask the chef to put less salt next time. Service was quick and on point. Overall I was pretty satisfied with the food/service.

I love it. I love it. Its our second night in Vancouver and the food here was the first to made an impression on us. We ordered the satay lamb on rice and marinated plate. Honest opinion as a taiwanese, the satay lamb isnt the most authentic, but it was very tasty nonetheless. Most satisfied meal so far in our Vancouver trip. Service was amazing too. Food came in a good time.

CASH AND CANADIAN DEBIT ONLY. We had to run to a currency exchange just a couple blocks away at the Crystal Mall since were from the US, but it was well worth it! Everything my hubby and I had tasted PERFECT and service was super speedy and friendly. We were initially seated at a two-person table, but after hearing how much we were ordering, our waiter offered to move us to a four-person booth so all of the food would fit. During the ordering process, he also offered food recommendations since they have a pretty large menu, and he checked in with us mid-meal despite it being busy with the dinner rush. I love being able to adjust the sweetness level for the teas, and they had three whole lychees in my lychee red (black) tea, which was a pleasant surprise. Food portions were generous and we were stuffed. For $67 CAD, we had plenty of leftovers for another full meal. Vegetarian options: Im not vegetarian but I have friends who are, so I love a place with great veggie options! I can honestly say that the veggie dishes we got (egg roll with corn, deep fried king oyster mushrooms) were as good as the dishes with meat--if not better!

One employee felt like he was new and made mistakes frequently, but I don t know if he was the boss or the store manager. He was very patient and had an excellent service attitude. However, when he was educating employees in the kitchen, his voice was so loud that even if he was sitting next to the window, he could hear it. It was a bit... The awkward atmosphere of the moment. I ordered three cups of chicken and the fried sweet and spicy ones were both above par. The garlic white meat was not unpalatable, but it was different from what I expected. It looked like hot pot pork slices instead of large slices of pork. The thickness of the meat was a bit disappointing, but the rest was not too impressive. Eat it occasionally and savor it.

It s true that we just arrived and didn t know how to tip. you can tell us But the attitude doesn t have to be this way If the clerk reminds us when we check out, we will not refuse to give it. Is it too exaggerated to chase after us and say that we have embarrassed Taiwan? I think your attitude is more embarrassing.

I used to order it often because it tasted good, but recently the store secretly replaced the ham and egg fried rice with fried rice with cooked egg. The most annoying thing is that I ate the plastic of the cooking bag. It must have fallen in when cutting.

Post covid, food, service, and atmosphere is good. There is street parking but it is hard to find a spot. There is a hidden parking lot around the corner. Kind of hidden. Ordered classic beef noodle soup and the new Taiwanese chicken rice bowl. Both were good but had some issues. The beef and broth is good. But the noodles was meh. The new Taiwanese chicken bowl is served cold chicken and bamboo. I wish it was mentioned that it was cold on the menu. The favour was good.

I got the baked rice with pork chop and tomato sauce. As you can see from the photo, it s pretty good This is a Taiwanese restaurant but their take on this HK dish is on another level. I would recommend their individual hotpots and deep fried squid tentacles (not in photo) are quite delicious as well

There costumer services isn t good at all. They never check with costumers and we been sitting down waiting for someone to take our order.

If there is a negative score, 100 points will be directly assigned to the store. I went to the store to order before closing, and the front desk took the order, but I heard the lady in the kitchen yelling at me for ordering and causing trouble to her...ah...isnt this her job?

This is one of the late nights restaurants on my list, and it never disappoints me. We like their hot pot selection, and if you never try an egg crepe before, you have to try it!! It s so good, almost authentic to Taiwanese flavor

Came here for lunch last week, the waiters were on point and answered any questions we had about the food.

I do not recommend ordering their Beef Brisket on Rice dish. As you can see from the image, there s barely any brisket. It s mainly rice and sauce. Having said that, their Taiwanese chicken nugget rice platter and their traditional stew pork are solid selections. Portions are not stingy. I politely let the staff know that the portion was small in which she replied with that s normal and walked off. For the rest of our meal we received the cold shoulder.

I bought hazelnut milk tea with black beans and it was awesome. Specially the beans were so great that I think these were the best one I tried till today. Sweetness and ice in the drink was perfect. Communication was little difficult and i will blame mask and also my lack of knowledge about bubble teas. Awesome place for bubble tea as the name is.

One of the oldest brands that has survived the changing times in Vancouver for this type of cuisine. Havent had it for probably 10+ years, decided to try this location, ordered some takeout hotpot. Good portions and taste for price. Good value.

It tasted good, but I ordered spicier but it wasnt spicy at all, which was quite disappointing. In addition, when I ordered a meal and shaved ice, I forgot to remind the shaved ice to be served after the meal, but the shaved ice was served first... Although I forgot to tell them, the clerk didnt ask thoughtfully, so I was a little disappointed.

This particular location is one of our favorites. The food is mouth-watering, my favourite being the 3-sauce mushroom, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and the cooks are fast. Quality ingredients, reasonably priced. So many delicious bubble tea flavours and you can adjust to your liking.

Nice bubble tea spot

There is no nine-layer pagoda in the salted crispy chicken, and there is no five-spice powder in the salt and pepper. This is not salt crispy chicken at all. Don t call yourself a Taiwanese restaurant.

Food is quite good but they dont prioritize people dining in over take out orders so you will be waiting quite a while for your food when you dine in.

Much better than I last remembered. Went here for a quick bubble tea and catch up. Drinks were great and the service was quick.

Busy place. They were swamped with take out and dine in orders when we arrived at around 2pm for a late lunch on a weekend. We got the Taiwanese salt and pepper chicken nuggets, pork and cabbage dumplings, vegetarian egg fried rice. For drinks we had milk tea slush with pearls and mango ice cream slus with pearls. Everything tasted really good. Service was good. Restaurant could have been a bit cleaner. It felt like they were kind of understaffed.

There are countless times I have brought my husband here in the last 3 years, and equally how many times we have ordered via ubereats. Food quality is well maintained and staff are nice. My husband will never say no to their salt pepper fried chicken nuggets. Weve tried almost every item on their menu. I like deep fried king oyster mushrooms/ tofu/ squid feet, takoyaki, pork intestine noodle soup, dirty matcha latte, and honey lemon red tea.

I used to come here a lot. Today years later I am trying again. My bubble tea was watered down. Also I order it with coconut jelly and it also tasted bland. Very disappointed. I go and had much better elsewhere. Not sure what is happening withthis place now.

Ordered uber eats, got 2 drinks and the chicken leg rice and salty pepper chicken rice. The drinks were good and the rice were also good with good portion. For the price of $13.5 per rice, it is hard to beat for this quality and quantity.

The table turnover rate is very fast. The distance between tables is too close when dining and it doesnt feel very comfortable. The meal was good but the side dishes were cold

This place is underrated with tasty food, good service and they haven t raised their prices a huge amount like some other similar places. The fried rice also has that all important wok-hei.

Food is but decent and the restaurant interior is nice. The staff seem to be very rushed and busy even though the restaurant was around half capacity when I went. The review would be higher but it seems a common theme in this restaurant as pointed out by other reviews is rude service. One of the waitresses were very rude and had a lot of attitude. When our food was ready she would dump the plate on our table and rush away without a word. When my table tried to order additional food she was annoyed gave a rude comment about how we didn t order on the first pass instead. Even when it was time to pay the bill I noticed a lack of a thank you, which I don t mind but as we were already being treated poorly it stood out. The other members of staff were nice but the waitress serving our table ruined our experience. The food is nothing special and the service is a big miss, I recommend visiting somewhere else.

It was packed on a Friday night but so glad that we could get a seat by just walking in. All the restaurants around were full! The food was good and service was better than I expected! The staff was attentive with refilling our waters. They even have hot water because it s cold outside. I ordered the mini hotpot. It was filling with a variety of ingredients. They were generous with the portions. The restaurant didn t seem clean. There were some fruit flies around and floors are dirty.

Drinks are very tasty. Unfortunately it is not a clean environment. Lots to dirt and cobwebs.

Love their Ferrero Rocher bubble tea. One of the best Ive ever tried! No other bubble tea place can make it good as these guys. Their pearls are also great. I havent tried the food tho, so cant comment on that.

The food was not bad, however the meat was dry, and we have no choice but to sit close to the restroom. The waitress did not go by the table until we were pretty much done. Some people like it but for me it is not the greatest regarding the food, price and service.

Great bubble tea overall, the pearls were just right not overcooked or undercooked and the flavours like taro, matcha, strawberry, mango slush all taste authentic and always filled up to the rim of the cup. My only complaint is customer service could be more personable, friendly and warm.

Used to getting their salty peppery chicken nuggets a lot. The store stopped taking DoorDash orders for a week or so. The food quality significantly dropped after reopening.

This shop has been here for about 20 years, start with bubble tea only and now also serving food. I pass by today and bought a bubble tea, the menu selection they have stays same as 20 years ago, which would be a bit out dated compare to a lot of new shops, still taste good though, but I would prefer others than them.

This is that place that you go tofor some comfort Taiwanese food. The salt and peppery fried chicken, kimchi fried rice, and of course dont forget the bubble tea. While Everytime over went everything tasted good, it was really ok. Dont get me wrong, nothing tasted bad! But it isnt your date night restaurant with a significant other unless youre looking for fast and convenient and craving bubble tea. I dont crave Bubble world but when youre in a pinch, it is a good option. Also heads up they only take cash or debit

Got stomach flu not even 30 mins after eating. So glad I was still in metrotown, ran to washroom right away. Their food had been consistent and tasty for many years, but clearly not anymore. Sad, it was one of my favorite restaurant, now off my list.

Today I ordered a rose milk tea with black pearls, and they didnt even take away the tea bag! This is absolutely terrible for a bubble tea shop. Definitely not coming back again, and not recommend this place.

Price is ok. Foods are good.

I order from Uber Eats all the time and always have a good experience. I recently decided to try sitting down in person and it was even better fresh! Prompt and friendly service, great experience overall. Im hesitant to recommend a specific dish because there are still so many things Ive yet to try, and everything I did try has been too good to pick a favourite!

Really good got the oreo milk slush and was super happy specially since they also put a cookie on the top for a nice touch

First time dine in. They served us with the same disposable cutlery as their take out order. Not recommended.

Disappointed food. I ordered traditional three sauce chicken and kung pao squids. The chef forgot to put salt on it???? There are almost chicken legs/knees and no meat from that chicken at all. What I can taste is the chicken joint. Squid has no taste at all as well. DO NOT RECOMMEND

It would be nice if I didnt give stars First: I don t accept credit cards. I don t know if it s for tax evasion or something else. Second: The waiter has a bad attitude and won t even bring you water or paper. Third: Since you are learning to order food using domestic QR codes, don t have to fill in your mobile phone number again on the app QR code page. Fourth: The sanitary environment is worrying, the floor is sticky and the bathroom is dirty. The machine is very noisy and the trash can is right next to it. Fifth, the seats are very crowded I wish i give no star to this restaurant 1: they don t accept credit card, wondering they re trying to avoid tax 2. bad attitude, no water and tissues provided 3. QR code scan have to verify phone number and name again don t have actual menu , the app is not well designed anyway 4. Dirty. floor and washroom not clean, inside this place you can t hear anything. 5. seat is tiny I guess the owner doesnt care at all. I guess owner even don t check the reviews, pathetic.

Always love the plain noodle soup + DF Chicken Nugget

Much better when dining in. But still, food is mediocre at best. Today I ordered Salty peppery chicken nuggets on Uber eats and they were soggy and wet; which doesn t happen when you order in restaurant. I also ordered noodle soup and when I looked at the soup, I wondered if I was oil and onion peel soup? FULL of oil onion peels. I couldn t even get one sip of soup without an onion peel in it. Do they not peel their onions? This makes me think they probably don t wash them either. Anyways, the noodle soup was greasy and the chicken was soggy. I don t think I ll order out from here ever again.

Good value, fresh ingredients, great authentic Taiwanese cuisine. This place has been in business for over 2 decades now. The place could use a slight update in renovation interior.

I got this as-is. I did asked for extra pearls, but I would expect liquid filling the cup, not like this a tea bag on top of pearls, and not much milk tea there.
