We went to this restaurant at night for dessert. The atmosphere was quite festive. Bright red everywhere along with Christmas music. We ordered the vanilla ice cream and it exceeded our expectations. It was so cute decorated with waffle sticks, chocolate and strawberry syrup, Oreo etc. I recommend the vanilla ice cream!
Tasty fried squid nuggets, delicious chicken nuggets fried rice as well — but the food is quite oily and heavy with salt. Taiwanese beef wraps are 7/10, decent but not the best I’ve tried. Did not partake in the beef noodle soup, but I like their boba milk teas.
Good restaurant overall - but comparing other reviews, seems like some are right about some stuff like charges on sauce and to-go containers but if you had the good food they serve in the end, it would be well worth your time and experience. The quality of food is pretty unforgettable and upon returning, I always usually order the Shrimp fried rice and the Deep-fried chicken nuggets. Pretty much a staple you can’t go wrong with. I may have gotten deep-fried squid as well once before .
It was a great experience! I’ll definitely keep coming back. My favorite dish was the Hawaiian fried rice! Sorry, guys! I didn’t get the chance to take a picture—I was too distracted by the food!
I enjoyed the meals i ordered in the photos :) the dumplings are quite hard maybe better if its thin and soft to be more palatable. Thank you
We decided to eat here after some recommendations on FB. The place looks ok, the food was ok wife said probably will be our first and last time to eat. She said food are salty and lack crunchy from the fried tofu and chicken nuggets. The only good part about this place is we ordered the fried rice and it's plenty. Even for the appetizers.
I recently decided to visit this place after driving by and feeling intrigued enough to give it a try. However, my experience turned out to be quite disappointing. Upon arrival, I noticed that the lineup system was poorly managed. There was no one taking names, so everyone was left standing and waiting at the door, unsure of when they would be seated. This lack of organization was frustrating and set a negative tone for the rest of our visit. When we finally got seated and ordered our food, the disappointment continued. The dishes we ordered were very bland and lacked any distinctive flavors. They did not live up to the standard of authentic Taiwanese cuisine, which was a significant letdown. For the quality of food served, the prices were unreasonably high, making the experience feel like poor value for money. On a positive note, the service was good. The staff were friendly and attentive, which is the only reason I decided to give this place three stars. Despite the decent service, the overall experience was not enough to warrant a return visit. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.
Good selection of Taiwanese style dishes with generous portions. Flavours are good, especially their deep fried chicken (aka Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken). The outside is crispy and crunchy while the chicken remains soft and juicy. Their famous Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup has a broth that is full of flavour and depth.
Cheap, delicious and big portions
This restaurant is amazing! Everything I tried is very good and the portion is big guys approved. Our favorite is Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice, Im drooling just thinking of it! Deserves 10 stars!
The food is a little on the saltier side, but the selection of food and drinks is great. We will still be back.
Great food always. Awesome family selections. True Taiwanese food found here.
Good punctual service, not overbearing, not pandering for tips. Extremely large portion sizes whether in the form of a drink or plate for fair pricing. The food has never disappointed me in terms of flavour. It s delicious, I ve never had an upset stomach afterwards, and the only pain I would get would be from how stuffed I d be after eating here. Slushes here are fantastic and make your jaw drop with the sheer height of it, with them being around a foot and a half in length if I recall correctly. There are many options for boba/jellies/toppings, and an assortment of various flavours. The atmosphere is okay, not overly loud or distracting albeit I wouldnt call it cool or interesting decor. The menu has many options which can make decision-making difficult but as someone who likes variety it is still overall a plus. 5/5
The rice dish was good! But didn t really like the beef noodle. Soup is basically taste like soy sauce. The meat was definitely on the dry side compare with other Taiwanese beef noodle.
The Deep Fried Chicken Nuggets with Rice meal is so banger that I will go back here every single day to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner when I become a billionaire.
Dietary restrictions:
Good food and services!
Chinese cuisine, delicious food. Friendly service, very suitable for small gatherings
I have been the the one restaurant for years now! The slushies are huge! My favourite is the home style fried noodle. 100% recommend
chicken nugget fried rice is my favourite. always order this when im here
Mid food
Affordable Taiwanese food, better than Myst down the street. Food was alright and great for big groups of people. Fruit drinks were cool, big and fun. The atmosphere is very fun and bright. The karaoke section is next door, which is smart and convenient.
Not bad. Its open late. I usually come here because it is open late. The deep fried tentacles are good !
A bit pricey but large portions
The fried rice and noodle dishes are way way better than the soup noodles. In general, the food is above average .
Haven t been here in over 5 years still the same old style. Classic Taiwanese drinks and food, reminds me of the old school Taiwanese restaurant in Vancouver, good service too.
Nice food and service, the Taiwanese food is no my restaurant of choice but this one is quite good.
good late night spot
Amazing food with an amazing staff and service
Sorry, I can t support a place that charges $1 for spicy sauce. This is dine in, and we ordered two entree (soup noodle, fried rice), appetizer and drink. This isn t being cheap and ordering an appetizer only, or asking for 3 rounds of spicy sauce. I can totally respect charging after one (like Deer Garden) or for take out. I can accept 2% credit card surcharges. I can accept Myst s overpriced $7.99 bubble tea with $1 surcharge on pearls, $0.25 for containers and cutlery. But charging $1 for spicy sauce. Really? Sorry. Until this policy change, I will never come back even if you pay me 1 million dollars. I rather you increase the price for everything by $2 and offer condiments complimentary, if you re really that tight on your operating margin. What adds more insult to injury is the inconsistency. Literally 2 weeks ago when I came I got spicy sauce for free, no questions asked. No special request. Apparently if the big boss is here, then it s okay? What kind of logic is that? Best of luck. You ve lost a 20+ year customer. I ll stick with Myst as it tastes way better anyways.
Great place to cool down on a hot day. Hade there giant slushies. Wide variety of flavours. Food
Portions are half of what was originally given and they now charge for hot sauce when dining in.
Always good food with good portions
Love the super tall bubble teas
Excellent food and service, HUGE portions.
Excellent service. They re very kind.
This affordable Taiwanese eatery offers an extensive menu featuring classic dishes like popcorn chicken and braised chicken. The shaved ice dessert is impressive, looks like a giant tower and serving portions large enough for four people!
This restaurant has Authentic Taiwanese food big servings great price , yummy! better than Myst fusion nearby.
This was the next best choice to host a birthday lunch and they did not disappoint. Not crowded, probably because it was at 1:30pm after the lunch hour craze. Food is great, didnt have to wait too long, and the servers were all very courteous and shows a happy demeanor. Would recommend if youre in the area and would like a taste of their Taiwanese cuisine.
Drinks only look good, but very bad. Avoid all slushes.
Really bad drinks. Slushes taste like water.
It was crowded and we had to wait for a table, but there was no seat allocation paper or registration paper. The staff asked those who came after us to sit first. We told the staff but ignored them and made us wait for an extra 20 minutes. No one left until later when a seat was available. I had to register a few people when I came out. It was so disappointing.
Perfect place for late night snacks actually. Good portion and taste not bad too
Their matcha slush (1/4 sweet) is horrendous, absolutely no taste, its green water, NO MATCHA. I asked to not pay for it and they sent their chef out to tell me how they made it which she said theres ice cream and less matcha powder because too bitter and said lots of people like it. Order it and tell me its not green water. I love water, but if I wanted water, I would have ordered water. There was no tea taste, no ice cream taste, plain water. She can say theres whatever in there, but it doesnt change the fact that she served green colored iced water and wanted to charge for it. They refused to take it off the bill. Will never be back here again.
Food and service is good. However given that many families bring children to the restaurant for dining their tv screens display some raunchy scenes during family dining hours.
From the restoration company Precision DKI: Myself & co-workers have been coming here for months! Absolutely incredible food. Cant beat their chicken nugget fried rice & their giant slushies! Food : 5/5
I order take out here when we dont feel like cooking and just want something tasty and the Fried Rice + Homestyle Noodle hits the spot. I can definitely recommend the Deep Fried Squid Tentacles as well. This restaurant has a good atmosphere too at night with friends and usually has parking space if its not packed.
salt and pepper chicken fried rice is still the best fried rice
The authentic Taiwanese cuisine is delicious. The dining environment is quiet and parking is convenient. It is the first choice for gatherings of friends or family dinners. The service makes you feel at home. I will recommend it to relatives and friends.
The food portions are great and it s why I keep coming back. It s also affordable for the amount you get. The service is great but it s not consistent. Sometimes you have to wait a while before you can order whether it s busy or not. It doesn t bother me much but to someone else that could be very frustrating. Would definitely recommend if you re looking for a place with big portions. It s one of my go-to s.
The salty crispy chicken and fried squid are delicious! The set meal also comes with four side dishes, and you can choose your favorite sauce from six kinds of sauces. The price is very affordable, but the taste is not too authentic? The fried black dumpling is very different from Taiwan s black dumpling, more like Korean fish plate. I think everyone has some of the famous long ice, but in fact it s just flavorful ice You can try it first
This is the first time I know that tomato scrambled eggs are actually a cold dish? ! You might as well just give me a salad tomato! I ordered fish-flavored tofu and was told it was a bit spicy, but it was actually extra sweet fried tofu. The pearls were boiled too soft, and the milk tea had more sweetness than milk, and no tea flavor. Among the 4 dishes on the side dish platter, except for the braised vegetables, which are acceptable as cold dishes, the other 3 scrambled eggs with tomatoes, stir-fried green vegetables, and stir-fried cabbage can be used as cold dishes? ? The attitude of the waiters and the decoration were okay, but the air conditioner was turned on too low. As a short-sleeved person, I felt the need to put on a coat 10 minutes after I came in. I couldnt eat most of the food left and didnt want to pack it. Lightning protection.
Great place for late night eats. Efficient services from the Workers even at rush hour times.
Very unpalatable. After a mandatory 15% tip is added to the receipt, you will be asked for a tip again.
Large portion
One big ONE It has been quite awhile since I was last here . I believe most people come here for one reason and one reason only . BIG portions and MASSIVE BBT slushes. BUT they were one of the first to do it and did it quite well back then. This place is conveniently located in the little plaza on Kingsway and Buller Ave in Burnaby. There is free parking in the plaza or street parking is available too. Inside is quite spacious with both tables and booth seats, a very 90 s BBT cafe vibe and look. Here were the food I ordered; 1. Logan ginger tea. A very weak logan ginger taste, didn t go too well with my taste buds. 2. Peanut almond black tea added grass jelly. Huge size as always and it was okay. 3. Deep fried fish cakes. They were big slices and generous portions but I preferred the thinner sliced ones because I find it tastier when the light crisp outside and the tenderness of the inside are more balanced. 4. Wonton soup. Taiwanese style, it was okay. I personally prefer the Cantonese version more. 5. Hawaiian fried rice. It was of generous portion, the pineapples were fresh and sweet but it s missing that wok hay . Overall, this is a popular younger crowd hang out for their well known large portions of both drinks and food. If you prefer quantity over quality and affordable eat out then this casual place will most likely suit you. The service here was okay, quite friendly and prompt. Nothing to boast or complain about. The food like I said were of large shareable portions. Taste wise, everything was okay except for the ginger drink. Nevertheless, every dishes here were one BIG ONE
Food
Your classic and reliable Taiwanese place with some great portions and great food! Their menu is pretty stacked, and their fried rice is very well cooked. I also highly recommend their mango milk tea, as its made from fresh mangos! :)
Get fried rice chicken nuggets. Can never go wrong. The BEST!! Coning here since 5 years for the same dish
Chicken nug fried rice yummer
Very good food, massive portions for good prices. Every time I go, I order more than I can eat, just so I can have lots of leftovers to take home. Anything with fried chicken is their best!
They told us to pay before because you are black., the servers were very rude and treated up with disrespect. I do not recommend this restaurant, I was excited to go but felt discriminated against.
Portions are large, all the dishes were 100% amazing!
It was all great but the sausage wasn t my favourite, great staff great atmosphere huge portions overall amazing.
The overall experience was a bit below average. The food looks good at first sight, but is too oily and salty! I was rather disappointed as it looks good. Also - no condiments (all paid, but more than paid in tips!), non authentic and service is too lacking (not enough servers). Sadly to say, I would not visit again.
Friendly service. Food was fast, hit & tasty.
Good food always busy!! Have to be very selective as dishes can be very oily!! Fun vibe with screens, lights and karaoke Food
Food was big portions. Everything we ordered was tasty. Not very busy but we came on a Thursday night. I would like to try the shaved ice next time
Good
The food is good and the staff are very friendly but the bubble tea is only worth it if you order in store cause you get the large amount instead of a regular cup when you take out.
Great place to eat, good portion and price, recommend pork chop and slush.
Very satisfying portion. The price is reasonable, especially the fried rice, slush, and bubble tea. The taste is great as well.
On the hunt for new bites, I got the one deluxe pork cutlet with lemon mayonnaise sauce. With all the side dishes, it has a colorful combination of flavors accompanied by a unique and memorable atmosphere. Extra note, their fried rice is HUGE
It doesnt look like much from the outside, but the food tastes good and the service is OK.
I enjoyed the bubble tea and wonton soup. Menu has plenty of options for another visit.
Best fried rice in the city ever
If I could give 0 stars, I would! I came here for late night and ordered the milk tea slush. It was all ice and no flavor. Asked if they can remake it or just take it off the bill, the manager came and said no and gave the worst service ever! Take your money elsewhere.
Great little Cantonese joint in Burnaby. Big portions and nice interior. First time having Kung Pao chicken and fried rice together in one dish. That was a lot of fun, they also have these chicken nugget style appetizer that was very tasty and full of flavor. I also had a seafood chow mein which was good. No complaints, would definitely come back again.
Nice price and good taste. The person there are really nice and glad to help. I have not visited the one for years. When I came there today, I found the great taste never changed. Food
First time coming here. I always love checking out new bubble tea places where you can get a side of deep fried squid tentacles!! Not the quietest place as there were a lot of people and various conversations going on. The food was good and the drinks were good. My friend ordered a taro slush and it was hugeeee the pic I took was after they put the top half on it into a cup. But look at it compared to my taro milk tea cup lol. You gotta wave the staff down if you need anything. And you pay at the front.
Love their deep fried chicken nuggets fried rice, I d give a five star just for this one. Other meals are not as terrific as this one but the big portions make up for it. Gotta try that fried rice! Enough for two adults.
You know when you have that craving for a certain food? Yeah well this is the place that my friend group craves every now and then. Specifically im talking about their Chicken Nugget fried rice (Sadly i dont have any photos of it atm) its their most popular item i would say, about 75% of the time i go there i see someone else ordering it as well. The portions are huge, not just for the fried rice but for anything, and the prices are very reasonable for the portion size. The waiters are very nice and never mess up in any sort of way, only sometimes they take a little long to get to uour table. Overall a great restaurant to go to when you have that craving for food and want to spend some quality time with friends in a relaxed ambient environment. Highly suggest that you visit it if you have not already.
Service is wonderful, generous food size portion, and taste good. Especially the personally hotpot and beef and tendon soup noodles, Can be busy and hard to find parking during lunch time. The shaved ice with multiple beans mix, and the ice slash drink with fruits or milk teas size can be served with 2~3 people. Parking: Can be busy at lunch and dinner time, there are street parking on Kingsway too Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is at ground floor , the door is wide enough and waiting area can Huge
Fast service and affordable. Good portion
I went on Feb 9, 2024. A friday night, not that busy. When I got a table and was ready to order there was no server that was going around asking if we were ready to order. Once we got our food, I ordered the Pork Ball Soup with add on Wonton, the add on wonton was okay taste but the portion was really awful. Some wontons would just be less than a teaspoon of filling and some would be full. Add Ons were supposed to be 6 pcs of wonton but not sure if those small portioned wontons were part of it. I also had the bubble tea- really good such a big portion for an affordable price. Honestly food tasted good, they were big portioned but the wontons were not it. Service was okay, it would be better if they look around more and ask how customers think about the food. Dessert was good. Drinks were good! hope to come back again.
We have witnessed an incident on December 23, 2023, where they have discriminated and racially profiled 6 gentlemen, who were also berated and embarrassed by their staff to ask to pay first before getting their food, just because the staff thought that they would dine and dash. When their group asked for a reason and for a manager to come out to explain, they were further yelled on and berated by their staff and that they could leave and threaten to call the cops, even when the group was nothing but respectful to everyone around them. They were refused service if they didnt pay first, and no manager came out to explain as to why they did it. Its such an unfortunate situation to see when all you want is to eat food peacefully.
Service okay, seemed crowded as we entered. Small wait time for my party of 6. Ordering food, they brought the wrong order to us at first but was resolved albeit with stress. My friend found hair in his bowl of rice but they were willing to provide a new bowl. The food was mediocre, the noodles and soup I got were nothing special. The pearls in the bubble tea here are not horrible but by no means good in any way for someone with minimal standards. The bubble tea drink itself, the black milk tea was okay as a drink and flavourful enough. The fresh taro slush was very icy and lacked flavour aside from the cut up fresh taro slices. It s not sweet one bit, so if you prefer fresh taro I guess this would be it for you. The drink I was unable to finish as it really is a very large serving portion. The service was alright, though they were not very patient in bringing the food to the right person at the table, leaving us feeling rushed to quickly identify our orders.
For my first time dining into this restaurant with my party of 7, I noticed that the atmosphere was quite welcoming, vibrant, and well decorated. The service and wait was adequate, although, with some errors here and there. Staff were friendly and attentive. Bathrooms are generally clean. My biggest disappointment was no other than the food. It tasted somewhat bland with little to no flavour. The drinks were my last spark of redemption for this restaurant, and the drink I ordered was the Classic Black Milk Tea. The milk was quite exquisite, but the pearls were just dissatisfying. Overall, everything tasted like it was made by amateur and uncultured chefs, would not come back here, there are tons of other good restaurants that are cheaper and taste better.
Big portions.
Their food is tasty and the portions were huge. Their bubble tea was also very good.
Rice was bland and too oily and soup broth wasnt strong enough
Nice place! Good place to bring friends, walk-ins allowed! Big portions and dishes are good to share.
Been coming here for years since it opened. It was one of our favourite places to eat. Delicious food. But there were few years that the food started becoming bland and service was lacking + place (bathroom) being dirty. Today felt nostalgic. The food was the best in years, bathroom is cleaner, service was good. It was a very pleasant change. Hopefully they keep the food quality it did today. Jan 7, 2024. Thank you. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly
Very delicious but huge portions for 2 people. rice and pasta.
Prices have shot up but the chicken and rice is still tasty and a good value.
If you need to try something different, you can come to The One, the food is delicious, the service is super good and the place is 24/7
I give it a thumbs up out of 10. A relaxing atmosphere, not too loud nor too quiet, the waiter was patient with us and also accomodating. The food was quite tasty, I do really enjoy their fried chicken fried rice, you can never go wrong with Asian fried rice, the chicken was perfectly crisp. The chicken wasnt the only crispy food, there were also the chicken skin and the calamari and fried tofu which we thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered a menu set of their sweetnsour pork, I must say it was not what I had really expected, the sweetness was rather bland in fact the sourness was the more prominant factor, suffice to say it wasnt too sour either. But it definitely still lacked that right amount of flavour compared to most sweetnsour porks that Ive eaten elsewhere. Fair bit of warning if you are health conscious enough, their deepfried chicken skin is surprisingly addicting. Although that may be because of my ethnicity (coming from a country that also enjoys fried chicken skin). Their menu does consist of a lot of fried food, so if thats right up your palate, I do recommend this place. This has been a pleasant experience.
I enjoyed this dinner. Service was good. Food was tasty. Only complaint is that the table was very high and a bit awkward to eat at.
Good food not too expensive fast service highly recommended Parking: Free parking Food : 5/5 |
Food is delicious and great service. Highly recommend anyone. Especially the slush!
Friday dinner after badminton, just wanted something quick, inexpensive, and on our way home. I have heard about this place almost 10 years ago, but never had a chance until this time. Popcorn (peppery) chicken was good, not too dry, and have lots of flavour Spicy beef appy has good flavours, just wish they give more real meat, than the jelly Satay pork stir fried noodles was good, lots of flavour, big portions Spicy pork with tofu and cabbage was very good too, comes with some side dishes as well. We ordered fresh taro milk tea as well, very good Very good value, quantity and quality for the price
10 of us went to eat and ordered the salty crispy chicken fried rice. It was delicious and the portion was large. Garlic white meat, three-cup chicken, and sweet and sour fish are also delicious. The taro smoothie is delicious and one cup can last three people. The food was delivered quickly and the service was very good. Although I rarely eat out, this restaurant is really good.
Great food and great atmosphere.
Would not give us meat broth with veggie noodle soup.. all other beef noodle restaurants do.. no customer service.. waited 25 mins.. walked out.. never going there again..
Holy, just found out today that the condiments (soy sauce, chili oil) are extra charge per spoon. This is the very first restaurant I have encountered the extra charges for these. If the owner is that cheap, not sure what other cheap activities are happening behind the scene. The waitress reaction was not friendly either. Feel like not going there again. Question to the owner - is the extra charge worth it?
Cheap and good Asian foods!
Food is delicious, portions are great for their price, and their bubble tea slush is HUGE! I always leave this restaurant super full (plus more!) - definitely recommend!!
Always I love this place! They have lots of food menus and delicious!!
Outstanding experience!
Still is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. I have been craving the deep fried squid tentacles for so long!! We order this, the chicken nugget friend rice and a beef noodle dish which was too die for!!!!!!!! Also along with dinner shared a passionate fruit slush! The only thing I didn t enjoy was the AC was sooo cold. Combine with the cold air in the restaurant and a slush drink I was freezing and couldn t wait to finish eating. The portions are large enough to share and always so tasty. Will always be one of my favourite places. Highly recommend.
The food quality has gone downhill, the chicken nugget fried rice was absolutely tasteless and the chicken tasted spoiled. They wanted to charge $1 for hot sauce and the slush we ordered did not come until our meal was finished but they would not let us cancel. Absolutely horrible experience that is costly.
I used to really like this place. Restaurant has really gone downhill.
Delicious fast food type Taiwanese restaurant.
Always amazing food when eating here. Great service as well and they are always consistently good! Been going here for years and years. Never disappoints!
Food is still great after all these years. Their famous super tall slushies are still super popular and their food options for Taiwanese cuisine do not disappoint!
food is making us sick. Me n my partner having a diarrhea at 1am in the morning we keep taking turns to the bathroom we dont know if the food is bad or seasoning kinda too much on but food making us sick
Ordered Egg & prawn fried egg for $21 too expensive especially if its not prawn. Prawn is bigger than a shrimp. And i assume they only use 1 egg :( Chicken skin is very good, especially in Canada rare to find Price wise, i wish it was less than $10 since the cost of it super cheap. But im ok with $10 Taste wise, very goof 100/10 Cholesterol wise, not good :(
If you want to spend money on trash, then go ahead and come here to eat
Great for a late night bite with the right amount of spice. All the food tasted great when starving but just okay the rest of the time. HOWEVER I have never left without a doggy bag for round two. Portions are huge, so order expecting to share.
Prices were dramatically increased, they now even surcharge for spicy chilly oil a tiny bit of it Service is not all there even when the place 95 percent empty.
Great staff and owner.
Went with a large group of friends & the staff gave us friendly & prompt service. Love thier slurpees. I recommend sharing with someone. They give huge portions of food
the best fried rice and slush
Worst customer service in my life.
A go-to late night snack place. Big portions (especially for fried rice dishes and smoothies)
I used to come here a lot but quality went down a lot lately. Food was really bad I will not come here again. The staff were rude to me I will not come here again.
We came multiple times and this will be our last time eating here. Really bad attitude from staff and i believe they are the owner of this restaurant. No one greet us for dine in and the restaurant is not even busy. After a 10min wait we finally sat down, no menus or water was offered to us until we asked for it. Food also took forever to come and it s not even warm. Asked for an exchange but instead making it up for us they shoved the chef without talking or answering our requests. Never again and save some time, there s tones of other options on Kingsway, please go somewhere else for your own good.
Big portion Cheap price Great place to go for a bite for whole family Taiwanese style food U wont regret it
Terrible customer service. We waited for more then 45mins and still didn t get our orders, they end up figured out they forgot to enter the order into the system. More than that the drinks came after we finished our food. No recommend, we will never go back again.
Service very good, food ok, drink tasty
I went to this store with my friends in the evening. I felt the taste was average, the price was relatively good, and the environment was quiet, suitable for chatting and talking about things
great amount of food Really great service A nice place to hang
Is it only me who gets hungry late night? This place is open late (midnight to 1 am) and serves wide range of foods and drinks. The foods are not gourmet but taste great and come in large portions. Also ladies working late night shift there were nice, helpful, and fun!
Went to this Taiwanese-cuisine restaurant tucked into a little shopping plaza along Kingsway on a Monday around 11:30am. The menu looks like typical rice/noodle/proteins fare, but theres a little twist to some of the dishes, like the chicken nugget fried rice (nugget not like McDonalds, but more like bigger, fried tender chunks of chicken) and deep fried tofu. Prices are decent and not too expensive for this part of Burnaby; the five of us ate for about $90 including tip. Parking is shared with other businesses, or on-street parking adjacent to the restaurant. Overall good food - recommended
Parking: 30 parking spots available in the free lot. Food
Best food ever
Food is decent. Parking lot with certain spots reserved for the restaurant. At night, its pretty easy to find seats. Staff are friendly.
Honestly I would never come back ever again. They used to be great but then over time food and service hasn t been all so great. Food is either bland or to oily and drinks are tasteless and to sweet even tho I d say 30% or less sugar. And service is terrible lots of attitude and no enthusiasm at all. Prices are wayyyy over priced for what it is. Not worth it! Save your money and go eat elsewhere.
If I could put half a star I would! Absolutely the worst service I have ever had waited 30 mins for menus and after I asked for the 4 th time I got one then no one came to take orders! Not waste your time or money
Love the chicken nugget fried rice here! Service is fast and friendly.
Very large serving with affordable pricing and good tasting food. They have various refreshment like my ol time fave bubble tea with various choices. A bit crowded at times and have to wait for about 5 mins to be seated when we last visited. They strickly follow the covid 19 protocol making you feel secured when dining in. Staff are friendly and nice which makes you feel welcome.
The food is good and the portions are gigantic. I always like to order the fried chicken fried rice. Its really good. The place is always busy. The prices are good and worth it for your money. My only issue would be the service and atmoshpere but its usually the issue in good asian restaurant.
My go to restaurant for authentic Taiwanese chicken nuggets, cripsy and delicious. Same with Taiwanese squid tentacles. I love their big servings. Service is great. I just hope they can put pictures on their menu so we can choose based on pic. Parking: Small parking lot Kid-friendliness: They give free lollipops for kids
No customer service, wait for so long to have a seat and no water and service after 15 mins we sat down. Food was not as good as well. We will never go back!
the drinks are fun! Food is good too.
Amazing service! The atmosphere is busy but nicely designed and clean. Everyone who worked there went above and beyond to answer our questions and make our experience extra special and comfortable. The portions are very large for what you pay for and everything tasted delicious. Definitely get a bubble tea and try the chicken nuggets appetizer. I look forward to coming back to try the rest of the large menu. It Would be nice to have more pictures on the menu to make it easier to decide what to order, but overall a fantastic experience.
Great portion, good food, sometimes good service
Good food
