Both quality and quantity seems to have taken a hit. Used to be my go to but the roast lamb recently was all bones. Reply: I appreciate your response, but I find the tone of your message quite condescending. As a customer, its disappointing to feel dismissed rather than having my concerns addressed with genuine understanding. I shared my feedback based on the experience I had, and as a business, its important to listen to customer concerns rather than accusing them of spreading misinformation and negativity. If the product you served didn t meet expectations, that s something worth looking into, not brushing off. Your response lacks the professionalism and customer service that one would expect from a reputable restaurant. I sincerely hope you take customer feedback more seriously in the future and work on improving not just your food but your communication as well.

Finally tried Socrates and it was worth the hype! Keftedes, hummus, and tirokafteri (spicy feta dip) were great starters, chicken souvlaki was great and moist, lamb souvlaki was tasty but chewy (wouldnt get again), roast lamb was delicious, lamb chops were delicious. Cant wait to order again!

Horrible experience, stay away from this location at all costs, plenty of other Greek options with better food and better customer service. $300 catering order today, when the order was suppose to arrive we instead receive a phone call later saying they ran out of chicken. Person we spoke to was extremely rude, dismissive, unapologetic and offered no remedy. Way to ruin our kids birthday party. Never engaging with this restaurant, what a nightmare.

The most awful experience EVER! Ordered food worth at least $300 and got a call when the food was supposed to be delivered to tell us they ran out of chicken. Ever heard of a grocery store? Why would you take the order if you don t have supplies? Ruined a family function! Your loss is someone else s gain but horrible customer service!

The best Greek restaurant that I tried!

What a hidden gem. More of a take out focused place we sat In on the small table. The TIROPITA was crazy. Took a while to get it they baked it fresh for our order it was amazing filo was cooked perfect and nice balance of cheese inside. (She told me 4). The gyro was great for 9$ amazing value. My partner get the shrimp souvlaki plate and it was very good portions. Lost of people coming and collecting to go. Will return soon

I ordered a catered lunch for our office. It was fairly last minute but Alex was responsive to my emails. The food was fresh and delicious. I was so pleased to see them preparing the calamari at the last moment before we picked up the order to make sure it would be nice and crispy. We have a lot of lunches and I would say this was the most positive response in a long time, if not ever. Everyone complimented the food and people said it was the best calamari theyd ever eaten. Thank you Socrates for the delicious meal and thoughtful service!

For $9 the chicken souvlaki was alright but the service at this place was bad. We waited for almost 25 minutes and then checked on the food to only find out they didn t even start our order even though we were told that it was a 15 min wait only. Even after double checking, it took another 20 minutes to be ready and the person at the house was very rude and ignored us when we came to inquire about our order at 35 minutes make.

The worst customer service I have ever seen. If you like to wait for 45mins for simple orders, this is the place to go.

I RARELY, like ever, post a review BUT the meal I just ate was INCREDIBLE!!! We are from out of town and googled Greek food in our area, wow am I ever thankful I came across this restaurant. Best Greek food I have ever had hands down. I couldn t stop saying wow, yum, omg, this is amazing!

The most authentic flavours I ve had since being in Greece! Must try, especially if you re looking for your yiayia s moussaka or a classic greek street side gyro (wrap). SOCRATES in the Heights is a hidden gem of Burnaby Heights.

I don t leave reviews very often but I have been looking for a good greek place in burnaby and was never able to find one that I found absolutely delicious until I came here! You can tell they care a lot about the food they re cooking here even being a little takeout spot, this place is definitely a hidden gem that may become my favourite greek place :) Portions are awesome especially for the price, and the food was so so good i ate the whole thing.

Wrong order

Been coming here for take-out since it s opened. Regularly surprised at how consistently good the food is. They are so busy at times I worry the quality will suffer, but they really pride themselves at preparing and delivering delicious Greek food. Keep it up your staffs hard work and pride in what you do is noticed and appreciated!

Socrates catered my daughters wedding rehearsal dinner. The food arrived hot, was delicious and was just the right amount. Working with Alex to arrange it went very smoothly. Highly recommended!

Best takeout in the area!

Little Greek restaurant at Hastings mainly for takeaway, yet they have a table that can host a group of 6-8 people with warm service. We ordered different souvlaki and we loved them! Its one of the best Greek food around the neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Fingerlicking GOOD!

Drove here from Metrotown to try out Socrates. This place did not disappoint. Great food quality and quantity. Tried their roast lamb and chicken souvlaki, it was finger licking good. I can t wait to try other dishes on the menu.

This is a follow-up to Beril Subs review (please see attached picture). My partner (Beril) and I called to discuss the refund in full that was offered to us in the owners (Alex) response [to the review]. This was the second time we were calling since Alex did not return our initial call. After a very unpleasant, prolonged, one-sided, lecture that refused to answer our question (whether or not Alex would honour his response to refund our meal), Alex finally discontinued the conversation by simply hanging up the phone. Im sorry, Alex, if this review seems spiteful to you, but dont respond to your 1-star reviews with promises to your customers fulfill.

Socrates has been our go to restaurant when craving Greek food for a good amount of years now, but tonight s experience was an absolute lowest of the lows. I called the restaurant to place a pick up order at 4:54pm, the lady on the phone said half an hour. My daughter showed up to pick up at 5:35, food was not ready, and was told a few mins more, okay that s fine 5:45/5:50 came around, no food so my daughter let me know that the lady was asking what the order was and the name several times. I decided to call the place myself and speak with her, explained to her the situation, were told half an hour it s been an hour and still no food, she quickly responds yea yea I check what s going on and HUNG UP THE PHONE!! Really?! So I called back after texting my daughter to see if the food was ready yet, NOTHING! I call again and ask to speak with her manager this time, first tells me she is the manager and then laughs and says she is not the manager. I asked her if she could apply some sort of discount for the inconvenience of waiting so long (plus having food ordered at another local restaurant sitting there getting cold!) she was so quick to respond something about me not knowing anything about business and that I would receive a discount but she would not be taking another order from me. Absolute TRASH of customer service. It was rude and unnecessary. The food was handed to my daughter at 6:04pm! The kitchen man even confirmed with her soon after that she should not have said half an hour knowing very well that it would not be ready in half an hour (my daughter heard it all!) Needless to say, it was a very unpleasant experience with Socrates tonight, which is very unfortunate as we have been very faithful customers for many years because their food is delicious. We will have to find another I guess, as she will QUOTE no longer take orders from me .

We were looking forward to trying this place based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, our take-out experience was extremely disappointing. They overcharged us for our order, which was already frustrating. On top of that, they managed to give us the wrong items and shorted us on what we had ordered. My partner placed the order on Saturday Mar 16 evening around 7pm, and we were informed it would take an hour for the food to be ready. We understood it was a busy Saturday night and we were fine with the wait time. We ordered: 1. The new dip sampler - which we DID NOT receive but instead got 2 hummuses?? 2. Tried to order the spanikopita, we were informed over the phone that it was not available and we opted for the Tiropita as the server suggested. (We DID NOT receive this item, and got charged $9 for it on the receipt.) 3. Ordered the roast chicken, and received lamb instead. Not a lamb person so this whole dish is going to waste. Additionally, roast chicken is $20 on the menu but we got charged $25 on the receipt. 4. Partner ordered the mousaka, we were told the roasted potatoes were not available as a side, so we requested to substitute them with greek fries. They didnt inform us the substitution is $3 extra ($6 for both the roast chicken and mousaka). To add insult to injury, we also only received 1 side salad and 1 tzatzki for the two main dishes we had ordered. This was undeniably the worst take-out experience weve ever had. We will not be returning to this establishment.

Got the Souvlaki plate to go. The food is freshly cooked upon order. The chicken was well seasoned, potatoes perfectly cooked and seasoned and the pita and salad were delicious too. Generous feta topping on the salad. Rice was the standard Greek rice typically served but the flavours were also well balanced. There are a few tables if you want to sit down and eat, but looks more like order first style. The socrates quotes and wall decor was a cute touch. I found this place on google since I was craving Greek food, and I must say the high rating is well deserved! I ll definitely come here again next time I m craving Greek food

Simply exceptional and exquisite. I ve tried their chicken souvlaki wrap, all their dips, their greek fries and garlic prawns. All super delicious. But you must leave some space for dessert! Make sure you get their EKMEK KATAIFI. It s out of this world. All their food hits the spot. The best restaurant in the area.

Absolutely delicious. Might I say scrumptious even. The kalamari, the chicken souvlaki, the potato, the rice, the tzatziki, all were perfectly seasoned. This meal exceeded expectations and made my day. It tasted like the wisdom of Socrates himself was used in the making of the food. 10/10.

My mom ordered from this place. This is truly Burnabys freshest Greek food. Super duper alacuper fresh. Will be back and will be bring the BOYZ. Rice is fresh l, Lamb is tender and flavourful, Taziki is thicc creamy and fresh. The pita bread taste good too. Need to try the KALAMARI NEXT

Best greek food in town for sure. Sometimes it gets super busy during peak hours and you may need to wait more than usual at the store, but flavors and quality are always consistently good any time any day of the week. Highly recommend! Also, the lady working the counter is very polite too.

I stopped by this place just before closing but they were very happy to serve me anyway. Had a nice little chat while I paid for my food. I expected Id have to take it to go since it was late, but they said I was welcome to eat in while they cleaned up for the day. Unquestionably the best chicken souvlaki and tzatziki Ive ever had! Theyre unapologetic with the lemon juice and its absolutely delicious. Ill be heading here often!

It was my first time trying this restaurant, I saw the Google reviews and thought why not give it a try, and it did not disappoint. I tried the chicken souvlaki with added prawns. The chicken was juicy and the potatoes were so flavourful. The salad was fresh and tzatziki was light and refreshing. I will definitely be coming back.

Socrates never disappoints. Had the pleasure of eating their fine food since 1994, back when they were at their original location. Fantastic food!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Socrates in the Heights and it was a delightful experience. I ordered the Roast Lamb and it was cooked to perfection, full of flavor and tender. The service was exceptional, and it felt like I was being served by my own mother. Margarita, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming which added to the heartwarming atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at Socrates in the Heights and would highly recommend it to others. If youre looking for a restaurant that serves delicious food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, then Socrates in the Heights is definitely the place to be!

Tried out Socrates today with a few gfs! Lady that helped served us was really welcoming and friendly! Food tasted delicious! Had the Roasted Lamb with rice and pita and it was very satisfying. Would come back again to try their other items.

This place is always busy - probably because it is so good! They nail greek food. When you go in you can see the cooks hard at work, everything tastes so home-made and made with love. The fresh pita is AMAZING and also whichever souvlaki you choose add the prawn skewer because it adds a lot of yum. We usually eat in when we go because we feel portions are bigger, and the presentation is great. They are always so excited and happy to serve you and you can tell they take pride in what they do. FLAVOUR CITY.

A complete lack of customer service and attention. We had ordered food for DINE IN and sat at the empty table inside. It appeared busy with take-outs happening. I can understand and had no issues waiting. The couple that ordered before us had received their food within 30mins. Great. Our food should be coming soon??? Nope. After waiting 50mins with not even the appetizers (ordered 2 of them) coming out, our patience started to wane. I had to ask for an update, the lady at the cashier said soon. The couple before us had already ate and left. 15mins after asking for the update, we finally got our food. Hurray??? Nope. The food came out in TAKE OUT BAGS???? We had waited all this time for take out? If we wanted take out, we would have called and picked it up. Who would want to wait 1 hour+ at the restaurant just for take out???? Ridiculous. Was this the end of this bad experience??? Nope. Didnt bother complaining or mentioning this as our patience ran out after this. Get us out. Instead of eating at the place like what we had planned and mentioned, we decided to go to a park nearby to eat the food. Went to the park and guess what, no cutlery was included in the bag. Lady didnt even bother asking. No napkins either. Does this place not offer or include these should be common essential items for take out? I really dont know. I understand that this restaurant may tailor towards take out orders but have some common customer service and etiquette. Utter disappointment. Heres a list of things to learn and/or(?) improve on: 1. Confirm with the customers again if theyre dining in or take out if its not clear or forgotten?? 2. Ask if customers require any cutlery/napkins with their order? Or if your restaurant does not include, maybe mention this somewhere? Not every take out order will be eaten at home. 3. Provide an estimate wait time for any type of orders when ordering. 4.Notice some customers waiting for a long time? Maybe check in on them. Will we be coming back here??? ----.

I ordered from Socrates on Mother s Day weekend. They are very busy because the food is amazing. We ordered roast lamb, chicken and pork skewers. First time trying pork souvlaki skewers and will order again in the future.

We ordered the meal for 4, which included chicken skewers, rice, potatoes, Greek salad and pita bread, in addition to hummus. All of the food was delicious and homemade. Even items that would be considered not to be the main event like the hummus were flavourful and made with care. Unfortunately, the hummus was accidentally forgotten in our takeout order, but when we called in to report the issue, the restaurant went out of their way to deliver the missing hummus to us, which goes to illustrate the fantastic service here. Will definitely be ordering here again.

We had high expectations for this place especially after reading all the stellar Google reviews. We ordered lamb shoulder and lamb chop plates. The meats were delicious but the rice was bland, pita breads were rock hard, and the potatoes were tasteless. The most disappointing thing was, after I paid closer attention to my bill when I got home, I noticed they charged $1-2 more for most of the items we ordered compared to the listed price on their website!!!! My bill was at least $5 more than what shouldve been charged. Seems like shady business practice. Dont think Ill be returning. Edit (in response to the owner): You should update your website prior to adding extra $$ on customers bill or tell your customer price being charged is more than whats listed on your website while theyre ordering over the phone, instead of expecting people to find out when picking up their order. Even if I noticed the itemized bill is more than the website prices when I am picking up my order, its not like youd let me cancel my order there because you already made the food Its a matter of principles!!!

Fresh and Delicious food with kind service. We have been to Socrates a few times now and have experienced flavorful , fresh and generous sized meals. And ... dont forget about trying their desserts, because the EKMEK KATAIFI is one of the best in the city!!

First time to Socrates even tho I work less than a block away. Decided to try it since there isnt much vegetarian options around. The Spanakopita was so good I went back for another the next day! I cant wait to try the veggie wrap and the Hummus.

Tried this place for the first time. It was sooooo good. Great value for the quality of food you get.

Loved it. Best moussaka in Burnaby. Its actually a good portion we could share instead of the usual single serving where you need to fill up on rice. Lamb chops were cooked beautifully but could be a bit more flavorful. Calamari was tender and crisp. Even the rice was good. My kids liked it too -- especially the calimari. Came back a year later for pickup and enjoyed the food again. Beef Souvlaki Wrap with fries inside (great but wished for more veggies). Roast Lamb (slow roasted shoulder) doesnt look pretty, but was enjoyable. Moussaka Medium Platos pizza (mushrooms, pepperoni, salami, ham, tomato, green pepper, pineapple) - surprised how great this was. It has big slices of meat at the bottom, and the toppings slide off a bit but I really enjoyed it.

Late on my review but do not order lasagna here. They do not use lasagna noodles, they use some sort of thinner noodles. Update: tried again in good faith but the lasagna noodles used are pictured below. Looks like malfadine or reginette. This time i included a photo of proof its socrates lasagna. Gave 2 stars before, but now that ive reconfirmed, i have changed it accordingly.

I absolutely adore this place and try to go at least once a month for a treat. They make the very best roast lamb dinner, and their tzatziki and pita are to die for! Oh yeah, and their Ekmek? Our first time ordering from Socrates was a great experience. We ordered a calamari side, a veggie wrap, lentil soup and we got one lamb dinner. We have enough food to last us a few days!! :). I have never had a greek veggie wrap. Wow, it was so tasty. Efharisto !! We will definitely be ordering from Socrates again.

Delicious food and amazing service! We ordered delivery and unfortunately a greek salad was forgotten. They sent someone over within 15 minutes to drop it off with an apology and a smile. Food was 10/10, delicious!! Will definitely be back and highly recommended.

We got the Bite of Burnaby combo. I love it cuz you get to try every kinds of meat: shrimp, chicken, pork, lamb, and beef. All very well seasoned. Rice is flavourful and fluffy. For $30 it s a great deal and enough food for me and my husband.

This pizza never fails, it is my absolute favorite pizza and their Greek yogurt cheesecake is beyond delicious. I have only ever had delivery and even their drivers are always on point, super friendly and efficient.

I m usually very hesitant to order food from places because I have trust issues. It has too often ended with me having a bout of acid reflux from all the MSG and/or diarrhea from all the grease. Not from this place. Speaking of Greece, this is by the best greek food in the lower mainland. I had two souvlaki platters, a greek salad, a pizza, and a lasagna. My kids had the souvlaki (shared one), and my wife is about to come home from work to no leftovers. Dead serious, this place is a 10/10

Great food, generous portions

The best Greek food in Metro Vancouver, hands down! Its always so fresh, and you can tell theres a lot of love put into each dish. My favourites are the moussaka and the pork pita, but Ive been really impressed with everything.

Super late delivery 1 and a half hours later after ordering . When we called to check up on our food. Lied about being out in delivery. And when we called back the 3rd time they said they were to busy to hear us out and hung up. This is not how you run a business. Will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Not sure what happened tonight, but after 3 hours of waiting, about a dozen attempts of phoning in, our 12 person dinner party was seriously let down with a delivery no-show, and not even a call back. Perhaps their phones are down, but use a cell then. Hope they re ok at least, but we are extremely disappointed tonight. They did eventually call back after almost 4 hours from the original order time, but we were already eating from another restaurant. Tough business to be in for sure, but you need to track your orders so your clients don t fall through the cracks.

The food is great however, the customer service is a nightmare. This is the second time where Ive ordered and the food is nearly two hours late. The first time this happened was mothers day, I gave the restaurant the benefit of doubt with them being super busy. We ended waiting nearly 3 hours... and had to order pizza. Today, we decided to give them another shot.. ordered at 6pm and its nearly 8pm. We where told it would be under 45min. Again, the food is great this restaurant needs to get their management and customer service in check...

I know this restaurant over 30 years ago he used to be on Hastings and Sperling he moved to his new place still on Hastings I think he makes the best Greek food ever from calamari from chicken souvlaki and the best part is Roslyn whoever put lost stars probably that will be his competition but it s super clean I recommend everybody to have an original GREEK Food for me as a loyal customer I highly recommend them

Wow one of the better Greek joints Ive been to. Prices are a bit higher, but the portions are huge and they are generous with the meat. Quality ingredients and the chicken was perfectly cooked, not too dry and not undercooked. The chicken souvlaki wrap was the highlight of our meal, very tasty and the chicken perfectly cooked, will definitely come again Update: the quality of service has really missed the mark in the past few weeks especially for delivery, which is very unfortunate.

best greek food we ve ever had !! every part of the chicken souvlaki was scrumptious, we couldn t leave even a crumb. we didn t want it to be over !! greek fries with feta was amazing too! they don t skimp and you get big portions. souvlaki plate is definitely big enough to share. owner is so nice and the atmosphere is great. we managed to snag a table inside, seating is limited so take that into consideration. great value! would come here every day if i lived here lol !!! a must try

Amazing and delicious food! Best Greek food Ive had in a long time :) My only issue is that they seem to be very scrambled and unorganized in the front of house. My order was forgotten about and I watched her flip through pages of different note pads to find my order from an hour prior as well as other peoples orders when they came in. I was given a free desert for her mistake and she apologized but I saw 3 other parties with messed up orders in the 40 minutes I was waiting there. They are very nice and friendly and serve great and tasty food - still highly recommend! Another great take out location in North Burnaby. Owners & Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Theres a few more delicious items added to the menu that you wont see in other Greek restaurants which is a nice touch. Dishes are generously seasoned and presented well. Always consistent in taste and quality and never short changed. Worth a visit but do expect them to be busy from opening to closing.

I used to crave Greek food maybe once or twice a year, but tanks to these guys I want it at least once per week! Their chicken is my fave, but we recently tried the beef and prawn and omg! Sooo good. Felt like I was in Greece just by the tastes alone. Heaps of tzatziki soothed my hangry self. perfect seasonings, quintessential greek flavours, textures, and fresh ingredients. It says online that it s a take-out restaurant but they do have a few tables for dine-in. I paid at the cashier and the lady served my food. Overall great experience. It s pretty small inside so we sat outside. The cashier/server was very friendly. The food was amazing! The Greek salad tasted so fresh and had lots of feta. Everything was perfect! I can t wait to go back again. I had the lamb skewer and added prawns

First time ordering online form this small restaurant, read the reviews and went for it, not sure about the taste and food portion at first. But once got home and open up the packages and tasted the food was fantastic, fresh and was surprised that the portion was huge. Dinner was so satisfying and will be back again.

The best Greek salad I ve ever had. Fresh ingredients, and wonderful service with a family-owned atmosphere.

No doubt the best most authentic tasting Greek food I ve had in the lower mainland. We had kalamari, Greek fries, Greek salad and the chicken, beef, lamb and pork souvlakis. Everything tasted great and seasoned just right. My mom was visiting when we ate here. She was really happy with the food and she s been in the restaurant business for over 40 years. We ll be back!

I hesitated ordering at first because driving by it doesn t look like your typical restaurant. I read reviews and instantly thought I have to try this place. I had dinner guests and that s not easy when you haven t tried the food yourself but what the heck. IT WAS AMAZING!!! I am more than pleased with everything. Had roasted lamb moussaka, spanikapita, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Portions are very healthy, roasted lamb is heavenly spiced cooked to perfection and love the roasted potatoes. I will be a loyal customer and I thank you kindly for the wonderful meal!!! See you soon!!!

The prawns were fresh and delicious and warms the soul. I really enjoyed the homemade Tzatziki and hummus with just out-of-oven pita bread. Great service with Greek music and ambiance.

The food was amazing 5 star, however there was a hair in the calamari which was a big turn off.

Good food and good portion. Shared garlic prawns, calamari dinner and roast lamb dinner between 2 people and had left overs for lunch. My new local spot for greek food!

I ordered delivery direct from the restaurant the other night and it took over 2 hours. The driver said they got stuck at train. When the driver got here she told us to put it in the oven to make it hot again. The lamb was OK, but the hummous was grainy and lumpy. The restraunt gave us a discount of $10 for the inconvenience. We will likely not order again.

Stopped into Socrates by chance near the end of a long bike ride. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki. It was tremendous, refreshing, and fresh. I will make this a regular stop when in the area.

I had a great experience dealing with Alex ordering food for a weekend birthday party. He was easy to chat with and very accommodating when it came to finalizing the order. The food was prepared on time and I couldn t be happier with the end result. Highly recommend this family owned restaurant.

THIS IS NOT DINE IN. Despite the online ad saying dine in, this restaurant is not equipped to actually provide a dine in experience. The food here is outstanding however. I would strongly encourage you to use the take out option and enjoy some of the best Greek food in the city.

A few of my co-workers and I ordered from this place a couple months ago and they did not disappoint! One of my co-workers had emailed ahead and wondered if they delivered to the hospital where we all worked at and he said the manager was very polite and responsive to his questions. The food definitely did not disappoint and let s just say our shift was extremely pleased with our meals Generous portions and a great price! So fast forward to yesterday, and this time the entire department ordered from Socrates. Again, very friendly on the phone and with our large order the day before. The food did not disappoint once again! Thank you so much for providing us with such delicious food and prompt delivery service! I know we will be ordering from you again soon :)

Wow. I m absolutely impressed with my service overall coming here. Food was not only delicious and authentic, but I have to shoutout the women running the entire front of house today. She had enough time to take phone orders, in person orders, serve food AND complete payments while being quick and efficient. She even had the time to check in at our table a number of times on top of it being super busy with the dinner rush. It s definitely a lot to handle but her effortless work ethic made me know we were in good hands. Kudos to you! Would definitely recommend and return!

Ok, this place serves up a delicious light and fluffy cheese cake with compote; the chicken souvlaki was pretty good as well, they are busy so order ahead!

So delicious, had the wrap the salad and the Greek fries, then ordered the 2 lasagnas for later and all of it exceeded expectations

One word: Unbelievable

Have only tried their pizza, lasagna, and garlic bread. Pizza is good but a large pizza has much thinner crust than the medium for some reason?? It seems like they use the same amount of dough as a medium but roll it out so it looks larger. And less topping on the large compared to the medium? Lasagna is not what i expected, they use small flat/ribboned noodles (mafaldine pasta?) instead of the standard lasagne sheet noodles and skimp on the sauce. Ive tried their garlic bread on several occasions and most of the time its only ok flavour wise with burnt crusts but one time they gave me a really soft yet nicely toasted fluffy thick slice that was really flavourful and different from their usual garlic bread for some reason on Jan.17 iirc. Dont get a large pizza get 2 smalls or mediums instead srsly theres a difference.

Saw a review on here that it was the best souvlaki in BC. So I had to try it! Just wow, everything about it was amazing the chicken portion was amazing. The Greek salad is exactly how I like it with loads cucumbers and shredded feta. Then the rice! It was just phenomenal it was the best Greek rice I ve ever had. I will definitely be coming back for more.

A friend of mine recommended Socrates so we decided to order on a whim and boy were we happy with our choice. Fair price for the amount and quality of food. It was delicious and was honestly the best greek food weve had in a LONG time. Edited - also, the potatoes and chicken were incredible. I was actually sad when my potatoes were gone, and tried to steal my wifes.

Fantastic Greek food, love the lamb chops, they are so fresh! Definitely recommend this place, but they are busy on weekends so make sure to call ahead of time and place your order, although it is always worth the wait!

Gorgeous Greek Food in the Heights. Their fresh tzatziki is excellent. Currently only two tables for dine in due to covid, they are busy with takeaway and do their own delivery.

The lamb was falling of the bone delicious and all the sides were excellent too. There arent a lot of seats inside as its mostly a takeout joint. Highly recommended.

One of the best Greek restaurants Ive ever been to that actually rivals the food in Greece itself. Everything on the menu is fantastic.

Food is excellent and always fresh. Service has always been nice for pickups, but my major gripe and frustration I have always had is, that the food I order is never, never on time. I ordered food for pickup in 45mins, I attend 45 mins for another 30mins. This has been the 3rd-4th time this has happened. Food has been confirmed for a pickup at a specific time and is always, never ready + I have to wait an extra 30-45mins longer. This has been a major frustration for a restaurant that has amazing food and love the family vibe. I have heard about this same complaint from friends and just thought it was because of the flow of business but I saw a man who was waiting >45 mins for x2 lasagnas and he decided to get a refund after being even more frustrated with the wait. I understand they may understaffed and unable to handle the busy times, but this pattern and constant latency is the difference between my consistent return to this place. I love supporting small businesses, but for this reason I don t think I ll be a return customer for a long time. I gave 4/5 stars strictly based on amazing food if you re in a rush, don t go to this place .you ll be lucky if you eat 2hrs later.
