This is a good fit for you, families and friends to hang out, relax, and boost your energy. Plenty of parking spots as well as loaded of public transits which are really convenient to reach this Thai cuisine. We are more than happy to assist any customers with dietary restrictions. Do not hesitate to open a new chapter of Thai dishes, it could make you smile for the entire day :)
We went there to have dinner for the first time! And we were starving so we order a lot! More than whats on this picture. Food- was great and satisfying if you're looking for a thai food. Service- was excellent and fast. The server was nice she's cheerful. Atmosphere- it just Ok! I wish you guys change your water glass thou. Recommended: PAD THAI, green curry, goong grob, tom yum and pad ka pao!!
Enjoyed a nice lunch here today. We had the Tom Yum with prawns soup 🍲 The Thai fried rice 🍚 & Red Curry Duck with Lychee nuts 😋 So yummy. Ohnya and I also tried the Thai Iced Tea with lime instead of milk. Was really good. The soup was a little different I liked all the mushrooms but the portion was quite small for a large serving. I always judge a Thai Place using the Tom Yum Koong. It's so unique and varying from cook to cook and even each time every cook makes it. My personal favourite. I would go here again.
I honestly cannot begin to tell you how amazing the food was here!! The best in the city for Thai cuisine! Lin our server was amazing with the customer service!! I wanted a whole wack of coconut rice and she suggested not to and she was right!! For the 3 of us! 3 dishes was enough!! The green curry is to die for and the pad Thai and the chicken satay were has down the bomb!! A must try!!! And even after our dinner the staff noticed that my wife was celebrating a graduation and offered us a complimentary dessert!!
I often go there to eat, and sometimes I order through Uber Eats as well. I usually get green curry and pad thai, but this time, I ordered yellow curry and pad thai. The pad thai was as delicious as ever. The yellow curry was tasty too, but it felt a bit heavy. The staff were very kind to my family, and we had a lovely dinner. Thank you!
Great Thai food located on Hastings with lots of variety and authentic flavours. Definitely a must try if you’re in the mood for Thai food or in the neighborhood. Overall, solid service, quick turn around, and tasty flavours are the highlight of this restaurant. Pricing is on par with other Thai places in Vancouver.
Be sure to arrive early for a spot at this popular Thai restaurant. We were put on a wait list and told to expect 20 minutes but by 10 minutes, we were called in for a seat. Lots of great options to choose from and we decided to go with the Thai milk tea, the chicken pad Thai, the stuffed chicken wings, and the papaya salad. The Thai milk tea and the appetizers came first and they were all delicious and authentic tasting. There was a slight bit of miscommunication as we only got our pad Thai after we almost finished our appetizers but other than that, service was great and we kept getting water refills throughout the meal. The chicken pad Thai was stellar with the right sauce and the taste of the wok. The stuffed chicken was an interesting choice and was very flavourful. Would highly recommend. Only street parking though but lots of side streets available to choose from. The restaurant itself is a bit tight with the seating so may not be ideal at busy times for wheelchairs.
Not a local but I was away from Florida rainy season in Vancouver over a week, I must admit we went back there for dinner 3 times within a week. Food is quite authentic Thai, good taste with decent portions. My favorite dish was Phad Cha as it was added with various ingredients and quite flavorful. BTW, I took a star out of my short rib beef bbq dish as they were quite chewy and it was rather contained so much bones, fat and fascia than meat. Perhaps they should consider other parts of meat instead of short ribs. Service is excellent!
Dined in and the food was delicious and the portions were way better than the small delivery packages. Portions eating in reflects the price. I don’t recommend delivery. Eating in is where it’s at. Fresh and delicious food with variety. Lovely service, busy little establishment. Ordered delivery. Small portions.. will have to dine in to try.
Delicious Thai food and generous portions...it was my first time having lunch here and was worth the drive. Service was superb and food quality and quantity was excellent. I had the pad see ew and it was yummy, along with the chicken satay for appetizer.
This is one of my favourite restaurants of all time. I often get food from here once, sometimes twice a week. The food is authentic, the service is good, and I crave the food so often. They recently underwent a renovation inside and it looks great!
Excellent place for cozy gathering
This was my first time here and I have to say it was a lovely experience, the server was absolutely professional and friendly, she described all the dishes to me to understand what I would prefer to eat , also inquired about allergies. The Pad ka Pao was really delicious.Comes with a spring roll and salad. Overall great experience
My favourite thai resturant! Cute and comfortable atmosphere with the best thai food in the city! My go to is always the yellow curry and pineapple fried rice, and pad see ew(medium to hot)! The most delicious food ever with the nicest staff! Vegetarian options: Lots of tofu and veggie options
Best Thai resteraunt around! Great staff and even better food! 10/10 Dietary restrictions: I m allergic to egg and they were supper cooperative with explaining which meals I could eat safely! Great service Food : 5/5 |
Best Thai food!!! And got a free dessert for celebrating my graduation! Super friendly service!!
Fabulous authentic Thai food, as usual.
very toxic place I love the food. I love the style of them. They are very friendly. Very clean shop then food very delicious. Prices are good. Highly recommended.
First thing that stood was the modern decor. I liked the green chicken curry with rice. Also shared the pad Thai.
Great little thai place! We tried their stuffed chicken wings for the first time and the portion is bigger than anticipated, plus tasted very good! The batter was light and the stuffing was similar to whats inside a crispy spring roll. Great place for lunch.
Favouritism, half empty restaurant and she holds table for groups nowhere to be seen. When I tell her I would like to sit down she brushes me off and forcing me to sit where I don t want. Maybe the food is good but no French hospitality here. Eventually the owner maybe or maybe not? showed me the door. I remember a much nicer lady being the manager. Repelling. Rude. Not coming back.
Clean and modern Thai on Hastings! Good food and excellent service! We enjoyed crispy pork belly and pad si ew the most. Quite busy even on a rainy weekday afternoon. Plenty of street parking spots.
Wife and I discovered this little gem on Hastings while expecting out 1st baby. Went there after every pre-natal check and it has never let us down. Authentic tasting (coming from S.E Asia and frequently visiting Thailand), portions are good-sized, and nothing I say can justify the Thai hospitality that is always on display. We love the staff, and they always get excited and greet us with a smile when we pop by! Went back with our 1st daughter and they ve seen her grow up and we ll continue patronizing this little gem with our 2nd daughter in tow! Kudos to the owners and staff for making it one of our fav restaurants in Vancouver! Dietary restrictions: They go out the way to accommodate when possible!
One of the best Thai restaurants that I have tried. I loved the calamari, fish and a few other dishes off of the menu. I also loved how unique the peanut sauce was for the chicken satay dish.
If this restaurant enforce a 18 mandatory tips, they should inform customers when they make reservation or even before customers start orders. This restaurant only inform us about the mandatory tips when we were paying. We were very unhappy about this but still decided to give tips anyway. The waitress who handled our bill was very impolite, kept rudely arguing with my mom and friends, insisting tell us she was right and we were wrong - even after we all stopped talking. It ruined the mood for all of us. We deeply regretted still paid her tips.
Some of the best Thai my dad and I have had in ages. The staff were so friendly and respectful. Made a reservation, showed up and got served within 10 minutes. This was before 5:30 on a weekday. We had Chicken/Pork Pad Si Ew and both were delicious. We have a tradition of always splitting a peanut sauce to mix in them. Their peanut sauce is worth the couple bucks. Highly recommend!
Best Pad Thai I ve ever had from friendly servers who work as a team to provide a memorable experience in a cozy relaxed atmosphere. Visiting the area and will be back.
The reviews for this place were amazing so I decided to order delivery. However, while the food tasted great, the portions were very small. Im a petite woman and I was able to finish the whole meal which never happens when I order food. I even added extra protein to each meal. It wasnt enough food for my boyfriend and we ended up having to order more food from another place.
Hands down on of the best Thai in Vancouver
The duck red curry wasn t as great as I d hoped. I ordered medium but the flavor was quite mild and didn t have any exciting kick that might keep me interested. Maybe it was coconut milk and cream heavy. I will say the lychees and tomatoes brought a nice touch to the interest factor. But the curry just didn t leave me dazed like others. Overall, I felt a few vermilion flags raising in my head whether it was the lack of any real thai decoration to the place at all (pretty much blank white walls and a case of minions/toy story characters in front, which was cute to be fair), the high price for one curry dish that didn t have too much duck ($28) or just having the order placed by the server through an iPad system (feels inauthentic for some reason). The servers were kind, but it felt like they were under a lot stress, which I can t speak negatively on the efforts, but it led to feeling like there was an urgency in the air while otherwise enjoying a relaxing afternoon. At $40, it was one of the most expensive meals on my trip, but it didn t rank as highly as others to me.
Siam Le Bien Thai is offering some of the best Thai food I ve had in a while. Their Pad Siew is truly the standout dish, with options for chicken, pork, or tofu, and various spice levels available to suit your taste. The tofu is excellent for those looking for a vegetarian option, but the chicken version is my personal favorite. What sets the chicken Pad Siew apart is the thoughtful way they cut the chicken to match the shape of the noodles. This makes the texture wonderfully consistent, so you don t get any unexpected bites that throw off the experience. It also helps keep the chicken juicy, even as the dish cools. Overall, Siam Le Bien Thai offers incredible flavor with great attention to detail. Whether you re in the mood for tofu or tender chicken, the Pad Siew is a must-try!
Very busy in the evenings even on Tuesday but food is awesome. Service was great but a bit slow - probably because they were very busy. Overall very enjoyable. Vegetarian options: Lots! Parking: Free parking lot just around the corner Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.
Interesting menu. Great food and service. Highly recommended.
First time trying Thai food and I must say I absolutely loved it! The food is really good!! My favourites were the coconut rice, stuffed chicken wings, magic noodles, Tom yum Prawn and their Red duck curry. Must order is coconut rice!!! Loved the staff. Very nice and attentive. Good atmosphere and decor. Would go there again! Food
Its Pad Thai tastes good. But Calamari is not as expected.
I ve dined in many times and always enjoyed the food. Although, I did take out last week for the first time, when the girl passed me the machine to pay she added a 20% tip to the machine. I only realized as I was looking for the tip option, even with pick up I ll always leave a tip because the kitchen makes all the food. Tips are discretionary, I was quite annoyed she did that. So, if you re doing take out, check the price on the machine before you tap. Edit: yes, front staff selected the tip and then gave me the machine. I went back and changed the tip to what I usually tip for take out so I don t need a refund but thank you for offering. I always tip on take out, just not the amount she selected on my behalf.
I love Siam Le Bien Thai Cuisine. Every things super good.
The food is good and authentic. The service is good , the staff is nice. They also offer special seasonal menu, like the seafood crispy noodle I tried. Food : 5/5
Tom Yum is sooo good! So is cripy pork belly.
Great food, friendly staff and great service with a pleasant atmosphere.
The lettuce wraps are some of the best seasoned things Ive ever had, just wow. Everything else was good, but those were exceptional, even with pickup!
Food are very special and tasty.
This is one of the only places in Van, where they will call you back to let you know your to go order is ready for pick-up. Besides great service the food is the , :) meaning very good. Totally recommend.
Love, love, love this place! We go out of our way to stop by every time we re in town, even if it s just to grab take out on our way through. The drunken noodles and pork belly dish are favourites, and our kids love the fried rice!
Excellent flavours and generous portions.
Okay, very hot inside though. No a/c when I went
Ive eaten at Siam Le Bien about five times now, ordering something different every time, and every single dish has been outstanding! (Massaman Curry, Drunken Noodle, Tom Yum Boran....) I cant recommend them highly enough. Service is attentive and friendly. Casual but nice atmosphere. You wont be disappointed.
We are visiting Canada and made a stop here on a whim. We ordered the Yellow Curry, Phad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice and the calamari appetizer. Everything was divine!!!! Definitely some of the best Thai food I ve eaten. Our server was very attentive, and the food was perfect. Our server also asked us if we had any food allergies which I thought was very thoughtful! Would HIGHLY recommend if you visit Vancouver!
First time here tonight. Service excellent and the food was great. Would come back in a hot minute. We were seated right away even though it was busy. Shrimp cakes are huge!
Food is amazing. The service is very quick and kind and prices are reasonable.
We have been coming here or ordering take out since it opened. It has always been great. But our last order was disappointing. The drunken noodle was dry, the lettuce wraps were spicy (even through the woman told me they we not spicy at all) I had ordered them for my daughter - the rice was old and crumbly- no moisture- but the part that bothered me the most was we paid cash at pick up- the woman stood there and calculated the change- it was $8.53- and then she turns to me and says the change will be 8.53- do you want it back? - the implication that I have to tip on take out service and then forcing it basically making us uncomfortable to ask for change back is so inappropriate and presumptive. Won t be coming back.
Decent Thai restaurant with a cozy interior. Portions were large and the food was fairly standard. The fish with yellow curry was alright but I wouldnt get it again. The pad thai was delicious, with a nice sweet flavor.
Food
Good food but small portions. A little overpriced for what you get at a Thai restaurant
I had the Pad Cha and it was not only one of the best Thai dishes I have ever had, but probably one of the top dishes in general! (That says a lot because Im a big foodie) And the service was incredible. The waitress knew exactly what type of flavor and spice you would like, based on what you were craving in that moment. Highly recommend to go here!
Very good food!
Red Curry hot was delicious with cilantro, anise, pepper, and curry. Eggplant was also nicely spiced with a good complementary gravy.
Service and food is always great!
My partner and I tried Siam Le Bien yesterday for the first time. I was craving pad thai after not having it for 2 years, and wanted a cozy place that served delicious food for a good value. Siam Le Bien was perfect! The food was absolutely delicious and well-plated and the portions were great (we had leftovers). The service was exceptional - friendly, helpful, and timely. We could make some small substitutions to fit our preferences. The waitress poured our drinks into our glasses for us and offered to change our plates after we finished our appetizers so we could have clean plates to enjoy our main dishes (we said no but appreciated the gesture). The restaurant itself is very clean and has a cute and comfy aesthetic, which made our meals even more enjoyable. Finally, the prices were so fair for the quality and quantity of food that we received, particularly in this economy. We will certainly be visiting again next time we have a Thai food craving. Thanks to Siam Le Bien for the very pleasant dining experience!!
Great little spot for lunch. The Pad Kra Pao was yummy as was the spring roll. Affordable too. Service excellent.
One of my fav places to go for Thai in the neighbourhood!! The staff are so kind and nice. This place can be busy so I recommend reservations and usually they let you dine for an hour and a half as they do get busy. The absolute star of the restaurant is the yellow fish curry, paired with the coconut rice. It s so aromatic and creamy and comforting! The pad see ew is a great noodle dish too but you really can t go wrong with whatever you decide to get! Definitely try them out and support local !
Fried rice with crab has no crab
Everything we ate was delicious. Best thai Ive had in BC. The drunken noodles were particularly good.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great
I like their green curry and pad thai so so much! Highly recommend thai hot level spicy
Apparently the restaurant doesn t offer authentic Thai food. That s fine if they can offer good food but they don t. Service and atmosphere is very good though.
DELICIOSO! We just went out to try it but it was better than we expected!
Service is pretty good consistently. Go there if I crave for Thai food.
We tried this restaurant in a group of 6. We had the pad Thai, stuffed chicken wings, red curry with beef, tom yum soup, spring rolls, mojito, and the tamarind tequila drink. Service was great and so were the drinks. Food was mediocre and reasonably priced but the most disappointing was the beef red curry. The beef was very dry and flavorless. We didnt eat it. At the end of our meal we called over the waitress and told her about the issue. She went to the kitchen and came back and mentioned that the beef is fresh and its the marinate that makes it that way. It didnt make sense that the marinate would cause the beef to be flavorless and tough. They didnt offer to take it off the bill, just to remake it with chicken instead which we didnt take because we were ready to leave. We wont be coming back here.
Poor service!!
Great authentic place. I loved the green curry.
Amazingly delicious food and friendly service every time we visit!
My family loved this place. I had the tilapia special and it was perfection. Plated so gorgeously that I felt bad digging in to it. The chicken skewers were the most tender juicy pieces weve ever had. We had our little picky food goblin with us and she inhaled the spring rolls and pad si ew like her life depended on it. The portions were perfectly sized as well. The awesome boss lady that was taking our order even gave our little food goblin a fancy drink so that she could match us. Beyond generous of her to do that. Plus they had buzz lightyear, woody and minions on display. They clearly know what theyre doing.
Best Thai food I have ever had. Freshly made noodles, excellent spice flavors, delicate juicy chicken. Friendly, kind and prompt service. Healthy portions. Highly recommend this casual and reasonably priced restaurant.
Food is well seasoned authentic with fresh ingredients. their sauces are delicious too. The portions are not great compared to the price hence the 4 star.
their deep fried tilapia with tamarind sauce (pla sam rod) is so tasty
What a gem in the Vancouver Heights neighbourhood! Didnt know about this place until we went for a birthday gathering. The restaurant is tiny so it is hard to accommodate large parties, but the staff were friendly and very willing to help ensure you have a great experience. Prices are reasonable, the food tasted marvelous and their presentation is very inviting. You can tell they have the authentic touch but put a novel twist into classic fare. They are also honest about the flavour of the cuisine if you tell them what you like or dont prefer. They have a chalkboard of specials which are a must-try! The staff said the dishes are seasonal so often do not repeat. If you like them, youll have to come back while its still on the board! A photo of the special crispy fried tilapia is on this review. The jasmine rice is blue due to an infusion of flower petals. So creative...and yummy! Whether you love traditional Thai or are into creative modern dishes, this is a good place to try.
Best Thai food I have ever eaten and the service is wonderful. Friendly staff, great food at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend trying this restaurant if you haven t yet.
A hidden gem! Any dish you get here will be super yummy. I had the green curry and drunken noodles, both absolutely delicious. The curry was super coconuty which I loved. Id recommend getting medium spicy for a bit of a kick! Also, the star of the show was the thai iced tea with milk, omg it s so good! would come back for that!
This place was excellent. Got the special, the stir fried noodles with pork belly. The crystal noodles were excellent and the pork belly was crisped to perfection. The service was probably one of the best experiences Ive ever had, and Im in the service industry myself. Very very good.
I don t like here customer service that s horrible
Really great food. Service amazing.
I ve been here twice and enjoyed both experiences. Their lunch menus are reasonably priced and come with spring roll and salad, which is a plus. I ve tried the usual pad Thai and curry dishes as well, both beautiful taste. I personally enjoy drunken noodles for its spiciness, and this places delivers the perfect spicy level that I love, as well as variety of tastes elevated by different herbs added. Having visited twice won t stop me from visiting more in the future!
Thoughtful and friendly service! We enjoyed the lunch menu and drinks (get the ice thai milk tea)
Love their Pad Thai I think it s one of the best places in the city to get it.
Busy, cozy and good food Thai restaurant
Amazing Thai food! Highly recommended if looking to taste authentic Thai food.
Consistently fantastic food with great service
Wonderful, friendly staff. Good food ( busy little Thai restaurant) Other dishes to try next visit. * Food
Amazing food and top service!!
Flavours are on point, attentive staff, nice vibes. Great place!
Ive tried the drunken noodles, coconut soup, pad thai, green curry, red curry, and iced tea. Perfect spice levels. My favourites were the drunken noodles and red curry but everything was very good. The drunken noodles I had both mild and medium spice. I would get medium again next time but mild had a bit of a kick as well. The interior is cosy and warm...maybe a tad too warm for all the spicy foods I was eating! Service was great, very friendly and efficient.
My husband and I came here out of pure chance since the restaurant we originally wanted to visit was too busy, and were so glad we found this place! We ordered the spring rolls, pad thai, yellow curry with fish, and coconut rice. The spring rolls were very crispy, fresh, not too greasy, and very flavourful. We ordered the pad Thai and curry medium spice, and it was perfect! Not too hot; the perfect balance of heat to flavour. Both dishes were so flavourful and had good portions of protein and food overall. I especially enjoyed the fish in the yellow curry, which was lightly battered and fried, providing some texture and extra flavour. We had quite a bit leftover! I would say some of the best curry and pad Thai Ive ever had, and Ive had my fair share, lol. The service was also impeccable. All of the staff was friendly and very attentive. Overall, it was a fabulous experience, and we cant wait to go back!
Very good service. Polite and full attention to guests. Delicious coconut rice. Other plates lack ingredient and are stingy but tasty.
The food was good but not my favorite Thai place.
Very rich
Ordered a variety of dishes for take-out. Not the cheapest Thai food out there, but super delicious and lots of choice.
The best Thai restaurant in Burnaby
This is the best Thai food in the Heights and it may be some of the best in all of Vancouver. Eat in or take out, the food is always consistent and if you have food allergies they will accommodate.
Cozy small restaurant, attentive staff. Even despite the hair found in the Pad Thai, the dish was very tasty. The waiter changed it to a new dish, thank you, no hair. We will definitely return as it is very tasty.
Great tasty fresh food and great friendly customer service. :-) I love the Pad Thai and pineapple fried rice here. This restaurant is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in neighborhoods. I will definitely be back.
Warm and professional service, with fresh flowers on the table and fair prices for authentic, delicious food. Well-known dishes like Tom Yum soup often taste the same from restaurant to restaurant. But the chef here makes every dish unique, while staying true to tradition Dietary restrictions: The wonderful Tom Yum soup was gluten-free
One of my fav Thai restaurant on Hastings St, Great customer services. Must try their Spring rolls and Fried rice . Food
Siam Le Bien is a relatively new Thai restaurant that opened up a few months ago in Burnaby Heights. Always on the hunt for new Thai restaurants, we stopped by for some take-out in January (they do have dine-in service available). First off was the Tom Yum Prawn ($13). Thai cuisine is known for the mix of spicy and sour flavours and hot and sour soup is the perfect example. Next up was the Red Duck Curry ($18) made with tomatoes, pineapple, lychee, bell peppers, bamboo shoots and Thai basil. I always make sure to order this if I see it on a menu as I love how the sweetness of the lychee plays with the spicy curry flavour. I would have liked to see a couple of more pieces of lychee (I think I counted 3-4 lychees) but the creamy curry sauce was on point. One of my favourite dishes here was the Stuffed Chicken Wings ($9). It seems like so much work stuffing boneless chicken wings with a mixture of minced chicken, black fungus and bean vermicelli and then deep-frying it. But it s well worth it once you bite into one of these. The Crispy Spring Rolls ($7) is a fairly similar appy having mixed veggies and bean vermicelli stuffed inside crispy spring roll wrappers. No Thai meal would be complete without Pad Thai ($14 with Prawns). I like that they use a tamarind sauce with the rice noodles instead of ketchup. It s all mixed up with tofu, egg, shallots, bean sprouts, chives and ground peanuts which can make this dish a whole meal. Last up was the Pad Prink Jalapeño ($13) which is a stir-fried dish mixed up with onions, jalapeño, bell peppers, and carrots. This goes best with some type of carb to soak up the sauce. I did make a return because I wanted to try their Yum Won Sen Traditional Thai Salad ($14.50 on Skip the Dishes). Their online menu describes this as the Siam Magic Traditional Thai Salad and there s a good reason why one look at the translucent blue mung bean noodles instantly makes this dish look magical (thinking they use something like butterfly pea flower to add that bluish hue to the noodles). Served warm, the salad is a mix of mung bean vermicelli, shrimp, minced chicken, tomatoes, celery, roasted peanuts, lime juice, chili, cilantro, and green onions. The colours are quite vibrant and the freshness of the ingredients stands out. I did think the minced chicken was a tad on the dry side but I probably needed to use a bit more dressing. I dropped by for lunch in March and tried their Lunch Special Green Curry Chicken ($11.50) with a Lime Soda ($4.50). The lunch special comes with a side salad and crisp spring roll while the curry had tender eggplant, red and orange peppers, and basil. This was a pretty good version and a nice price point for lunch. The medium-spiced curry sauce had a nice heat level that you really didn t feel until afterwards. Wish this place was a little bit closer to where we live. Overall, the food was pretty good. If you find that their dishes aren t spicy enough, make sure to ask them to kick up the spice level. I thought their medium was okay if you re not looking for anything overly spicy.
green curry was really good, will be back to try the other items Vegetarian options: I believe a lot of dishes can be made vegetarian Food : 5/5 |
Had diarrhea after eating here. Okay food but questionable hygiene situation. One waiter was passive aggressive
Everything in here is great The kindness of the people The flavors Portion size The music and lighting makes you feel really calm and enjoy the food!
By far the best Thai food in Vancouver I have found so far. Lovely and friendly staff, amazing food!
This is my new favourite thai food place. Food was tasty and I loved the cozy vibe. I forgot to take more photos because I was busy eating. Haha
Everything we ate was super delicious. Highly recommended
Been here a few times great food we always get the phad thai and eggplant basil. Nan is a rockstar manages a busy restaurant really well, while still making time to connect with the guests and keep positive. We ll be back!
My family and I stopped there for a late lunch, and I got the Magic Noodle spicy. It was good (not spicy enough for me, but I do eat really spicy food ). Its a really good flavor and the service was also great.
The best Thai food in Vancouver. I love it. Every dish and beverage I tried here is superb. The pineapple rice is my favorite so far.
The best Thai food I ve had outside of Australia :) and Thailand. I ve searched for a long time to have authentic good thai food in Vancouver. Finally! Thank you!
Excellent food and service! Their chicken satay, calamari, curry and pad see ew are the best.
Pork Belly was great and the Red Curry w/ Tofu was fantastic! Parking: Theres free 2 hr parking behind the Fire Station beside the restaurant other than that theres plenty around the area, you may have to walk a few mins though. Food : 5/5 |
Busy spot with the Best Thai food I have had in a very long long time. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and non vegetarians. I am a non vegetarian and highly recommend any dish with tofu. We shared spring rolls wok fired veggies with tofu , drunken noodles chicken satay and green curry with tofu. We were so full but HAD TO HAVE the mango sticky rice to finish the meal!!the staff is amazing
Visiting from Chicago and the food here was phenomenal! Green curry was my group s fave. Anything with basil as well - you can tell it s fresh. The dishes tasted really different from each other too which was great
Pricey for super small portions. Red curry wasnt that great, chicken was dry and overcooked.
A group of us went for dinner, we all ordered different dishes. The order was taken at the same time for all dishes. The first dish arrived by itself, next three dishes was about 5 minutes apart and the last dish was at least 15 minutes later. So from the first dish to the last dish served was 25 minutes. Kinda hard to have dinner together when the food doesnt arrive together. We noticed take out dishes were picked up together so it is possible. One dish at our table was ordered with the hot spice level, it was maybe medium. Unsure is we will go back as it was uncomfortable if we cant eat together.
I was looking for Thai food and we found. Its place with really authentic food, like in Thailand. Sooo delicious Good portions, warm quick service. But main big point its food. Its crazy amazing delicious. For sure we will back again. Thank you and see you soon. We are happy that found you Vegetarian options: You can choose some dishes with tofu. And salads. Dietary restrictions: So nice, that they ask about any food allergies
Great food - service was good and fast! This place gets busy quick.
Delicious food and very friendly staff. Pad see ew is a must try. Overall great dinner. Kid-friendliness: High chair for toddlers available.
Small cozy restaurant with full of flavors in the food.
I came to this Thai restaurant as I read great reviews about it and I have a craving for Pad Thai. Great experience overall. The noodle is flavourful, prawns are tender, and the waitress is very attentive. Will come again for more curry dishes.
Below average food and service
Best curry ever, I have had the yellow fish curry 3 times in two weeks . Friendly service and no messing!
I like this Thai restaurant because I m always had bad reactions for MSG after I eat Thai cuisine in North America , but I don t feel I m sick or dehydrated after the meal this time ! Service is decent for a neighborhood restaurant . The portion could be bigger tho .
Delicious food and friendly staff Kid-friendliness: The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had 2 toddlers, a one-yr old and a newborn so definitely not an easy crowd. The staff was great with them.
All I can say the food was ok nothing stood out to me. Had the Thai milk tea that was very good. It had a flavour of tea. The place was okay in size, but the big this that stood out to me is that it was so stuffy inside. Made my dinner very uncomfortable. Made me try to eat as soon as we can so we could go outside for some fresh air.
Good food and good service!
Food is authentic and its pricey cause of good quality ingredients . The only 2 Thai restaurants I visit regularly is this one and Baan Lao in Richmond. I came today aug 9. The waitress is exceeded my expectations. Very kind and attentive.
Best thai food I have tried in BC, and the staff is really nice.
Avoid going in the hot summer, we feel like we are eating outdoors at Thailand in the restaurant
Great restaurant with very authentic dishes.
A bit disappointing.
Authentic Thai hole in the wall located in bby heights - my elementary home ground! I was so happy to have stumbled upon here and at first I was skeptical of all the five star reviews posted within such a short time but this place deserves it! Their spice and flavours are top notch. Ask for Thai spicy and you will get stress reliving spice levels! To name a few bomb dishes - must try: - Papaya Salad (Thai spicy) - Crab fried rice (just like I had in Bangkok last Feb) - Pad thai of course! (With shrimp) - Tom Yum Soup (spicy) - very flavourful you can have this with your fried rice - Chicken skewers (their peanut sauce is A+++) - Green curry with chicken (spicy) - Thai iced tea
Great Phat Thai, cafe yien good too
Solid food, love this restaurant
We ve been visiting this neighborhood joint since they ve opened. The staff there are super friendly and the food is pretty good. Drunken noodles and pad Thai are our go to dishes when we dine here. Dietary restrictions: I ve got a peanut allergy but never had an issue dining here. Just let the staff know when you order. Parking: There s a free parking lot directly behind the fire station Kid-friendliness: The staff there are super friendly with children
This place gets busy, so go early or make reservations! All the dishes weve tried so far are excellent. Very friendly staff and prompt service. Be ready for some heat when you order hot.
Right off the bat, gotta applaud the server for their good vibes and service. Food is amazing. I dont usually eat Thai food but this is my go-to spot now when I am craving some.
Food is fine. I love green curry over Tom Yam soup though, we ordered same level of spicy for both dishes, but Tom Yam soup was not spicy at all.
Best pad kee mao (drunken noodles on the menu) I have ever had! The noodle texture and flavours were absolutely perfect. Will be coming back to try some other things on the menu.
Service and food was excellent. 2pax ordered the following and would recommend: Crispy Pork belly Pad Thai Green Curry Coconut Rice Iced Thai Milk Tea
Although the pad thai seems to be getting a lot of love in the reviews, I want to take a minute to give a shoutout to the BEST pad see eew that I have ever had! As a lover of the thick noodles, I find this particular dish a bit bland most places, but Siam Le Biens was mind blowingly flavourful! I asked for peanuts on the side and sprinkled it all over - highly recommend!
Always great food and service. Kid-friendliness: We saw kids on high chairs and staff was very kid friendly. Food : 5/5 |
One of our favourite Thai spots in the city. Staff is always great, it can get busy but the wait isnt too bad because they are efficient. Food is always great here and the portions are good for sharing or each entree enough for 1 person.
Pretty good food, could be spicier to match real authentic Thai food. Seems to be a twist of Loas food due to the availability of sticky rice and salty fermented crab. Really good customer service. Their green curry is good.
Good food. We ordered Red Thai curry, Garlic pepper chicken, pork belly and rice. Overall the service was slow. But food was good and that compensates for service.
Loved everything we ordered and the servers were nice!! We ordered crispy pork belly, Tom Kha, pad thai, pineapple fried rice (my personal favourite!), and deep fried banana for dessert. Would definitely recommend and come again :))
Best drunken noodles, love the pad see ew , red curry , everything here
The food is really really really good
Update: I decided to give it another try and now I m happy about it :))) I ordered the red curry and it was amazing. I went with the mild spice level and I think it was a good choice as I couldn t have tasted the other flavours if I had gone with more spices. I also ordered the milk coffee. Not bad as a sweet drink but not good at all from the coffee perspective. Wasn t impressive. Past review: I had Drunken noodle and it was meh. To be kinder, it wasn t my type of food. It didn t have any special taste, spices (other than pepper), or anything at all, and It was too greasy. Too much oil. The staff where great, fast, and helpful though.
Good value for great Thai food
Local Thai food...very delicious.. the service staff is very friendly and the service is very good I must come back Food : 5/5
Amazing food! Best Thai I ve had in Vancouver area. Perfect service.
Very busy at lunch time with a 30 minute wait. Server took our order though, so our first course came shortly after we were seated. Service throughout the meal was excellent actually, with periodic check-ins and water top ups. We started with the green papaya salad which was fresh, crisp and a medium spiciness that made the lips tingle a little. That was followed by pad cha (prawns, basa fillet, and squid with mixed vegetables); pad thai and pad ka pao duck (stir-fried boneless BBQ duck, bell peppers, green beans and gai lan). The duck was the definite highlight, though all the dishes were very tasty. I think the restaurant has responded to concerns about dishes being too mild. We ordered all our dishes medium spicy and they all were... a distinct level of heat but not at all overpowering. All in all a first rate experience. Parking: Easy and free on street parking. Small, free municipal lot behind the fire hall.
Had a really good pad ka pao in Toronto and have been looking for something similar in Vancouver. This Pad Ka Pao with ground pork was pretty good - flavourful, perfect spice level (I asked for mild as I m not good with spicy food and I felt it was perfect, a tiny bit of a kick without making my mouth go numb). However, I wish the dish came with rice. Having to pay for rice on the side made it a little pricier than I thought it was worth and rice is essential to this dish to help combat the greasiness of the pork. My friend had a pad see ew and the noodles were deliciously thick and the perfect amount of chew - if I were to come back I would probably order this next time or try the pad Thai. Servers were also really nice and attentive.
Dietary restrictions: There are a few dishes on the lunch menu that can be made vegan upon request. We had the Pad ka Pao with tofu and the Cashew Nut tofu and both dishes are fantastic! I have also tried the tofu pad Thai which was delicious too. The lunch is served with a light and refreshing side salad and a most tasty and crispy veg spring roll. Service is awesome! I highly recommend this place
Cute spot for Thai food. Fast service and reasonable prices.
I ve tried the food here many times and I gotta say fans of Thai food must give this one a try. Great food, good price(definitely not expensive) and good service - cant ask for more. Everyone should add this to their list.
Service was amazing, there was a 20 min or so wait that ended up being more like ten min, and we were able to put in our order even before we sat down. We got the pad thai and green curry. The serving size was generous and the food was delicious!!!
We placed a door dash order, then the restaurant called us from a number that shows up as fraud. When we called them back after listening to their voicemail, they said that because we didn t select a protein for the curry, that they were sending fish as a default. Uh oh.. I am highly allergic to fish so my mistake (I am quite certain that I selected chicken.. glitch?). We requested that they make our curry with chicken instead, and if not, at least please don t send any seafood - they refused both options, forcing us to cancel our whole order due to their unwillingness to be flexible to help correct my mistake. I cannot accept seafood, but the very stubborn lady on the phone insisted that I take the seafood, and I give away to the delivery person - why not just keep the fish curry as requested and avoid making the customer feel uncomfortable? What if the delivery person doesn t want it either? We live in the neighborhood and have been return customers, but their refusal to not send seafood that I m allergic to, and their poor customer service skills means we will not be returning. It s a shame that this place just lost regular customers due to their lack in care, awareness around allergies.
This place is so good I constantly make the drive out even though I live in White Rock! Service is excellent and the food is even better!
We were seated quite fast, but then got ignored for at least 15 minutes. The server kept helping other tables and online orders. I understand that they are a small restaurant and they are busy, but they could have at least provided us with water and acknowledged our table. Food is good, but a bit pricey. There was some confusion that the waitress caused and we tried to fix it but it cause another confusion. We just wanted to ask but the waitress got so annoyed at us and gave attitude. I feel like they were so busy so everything was rushed and we couldn t explain the error. It would ve been nice for them to properly ask what is wrong instead of getting annoyed. At the end, we knew both parties were at fault so we just need to order the dish that we initially wanted. We weren t trying to ask for a free dish, but the server made the impression that we re trying to do that and got angry. Overall bad experience here.
A wonderful cozy thai restaurant! This has become my new favorite. The #2 Goong Grob is so good. Fried prawns covered in crispy noodles, I wish I took a photo! The crunch is amazing. Pad si ew is great. One of my favorite dishes. The green curry is very coconutty and a big portion! Service is great, servers explain everything, are very attentive, water is always filled and someone is always around to answer a question. It does get busy on Friday and Saturday nights so I would recommend calling ahead to try and get a reservation.
L VE this place !!!! My go to restaurant in the Heights, cozy & clean w/ great friendly service to boot! Love the food & my fave drink, 3 layer Thai tea The deep fried bananas were scrumptious & the presentation 10/10 !!!! Food
Really good Thai food. Lots of different options and good flavor. The shrimp cakes were a highlight of our dinner. Nice crunchy outer with softer cake.
***2023 update** food is delicious! Service is still great! The pricing has went up but it is a given since inflation. The only thing is our waitress didnt really know the difference between vegetarian and vegan. We told her we are vegetarian and she asked us if chicken broth is okay. Chicken broth is not okay. So we said we dont eat chicken broth and she said so you dont eat animal products, that means youre vegan. But were not vegan, we eat eggs though. So I think the waitresses need to know the differences between vegetarian and vegan. But other than that it was really great. ** 2021 Sept update*** the food is still delicious!! The service is still excellent. But the wait time has increased. They are super duper busy with take out orders so the sit in customers waiting are even waiting LONGER than before. If you are hungry, I cant recommend here on a weekend when its busy.. I do hope they can prioritize the sit in customers since for take out they can arrange the pick up times to be longer so the take out but sit in customers need to sit and wait. Also sit in customers pay tips, so it will be great if the food service can come at a reasonable time. We came in for lunch the other day. Their lunch meal is a great deal especially since it comes with spring roll and salad. Their pad thai is really delicious. We ordered a pad siew and fried rice to go and the pad siew was very good, I can totally tell the food is extremely authentic and the chef must be as well. There are lots of thai places but this place is pretty delicious and the service is excellent. I originally was going to only give it 4 stars because it really took very long for our food to come. However, the waitress acknowledge that it was taking a long time and gave us drinks on the house. They were busy since it was Saturday and they had tons of take out orders. I definitely recommend this place for yummy thai food! Just be aware that there might be a while for food to come if you come during the busy times.
Service was great, food was good. Rice being charged separately from the Curry was a surprise, because most Thai places offer the rice as built into the cost of the Red/Green Curry , but overall good experience.
Great food and even better service!
Great place
Excellent service, super friendly staff and great tasting food. We will return!
I did enjoy the food. Chicken satay and pad thai was good. A good stop of some tasty Thai food. I was however disappointed with the service at the end of the meal. I was with a large group and the server had an issue with the amount given for tip and came to us directly asking if we had an issue with the meal. It was really unprofessional. It really ruined the experience. Hi, I just wanted to respond to your comments. I appreciate your input however this has never happened to me before at any restaurant. I do dine out often. A tip is discretionary and we did provide a fair tip. If the policy is to question customers about the tip I might recommend including a service charge on the bill that you would feel is appropriate for your business and service. More importantly the way it was asked was not appropriate and they directly asked why they were not getting more tip. I appreciate that this might be your policy but from the customers experience it was not pleasant. I wish you all the best but felt it was important to share our experience for your feedback.
Amazing Thai food! We had the Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Tofu Red Curry and every dish was great. Will definitely come back
Delicious meal! Friendly and prompt service. First time here and will definitely be back. Dietary restrictions: They note the allergens on the menu
The taste is excellent. Staff are very attentive and kind. Ingredients are lacking. A $23.50 plate of seafood has a total of 3 more sized prawns, 3 spoon sized squid and 3 small pieces of fish. Thats enough for one person. Even the spicy eggplant dish has a small portion of eggplant. Thats like $1.60 per lbs in the retail stores. At $18 for the plate, I expected bigger portion. The coconut rice was super delicious. My host spent nearly $80 for two persons.
I love real authentic Thai food and very unique! Excellent customer service!!! Two thumbs up !
Real Thai food with really good customer service. Authentic Thai food Their curry and papaya salad is soooooo tasty ! Especially fried fish, couldnt image it is so crisp! Recommended coconut jelly, healthy and delicious! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options Parking: Free parking around

Curry is very flavourful, and coconut jelly healthy and tasting sooo good Vegetarian options: Being on vegetarian diet for years, the manager is very accommodating and helpful. Parking: Free parking around the restaurant
