We are continually striving to present classic dishes using modern cooking applications and local, sustainable ingredients.
This is my first time visiting this restaurant. The food portion is great. Food is delicious 😋 I will definitely come back again next time. Happy Hour is another bonus.
Nice trendy environment for a pho restaurant. We had 5 people and coming on a weekend for dinner and were quickly seated. We ordered a special happy hour dish with bao and meat inside. It was tiny but delicious! Spring rolls were deep fried and super yummy. Pho was ok and small in size giving there’s only one option for size. Rice dishes were lacking something though. We had 3 rice dishes with pork chop, chili chicken and short rib respectively. The meat seemed dried and the rice texture is different and I think it’s similar to broken rice if you like that texture. But I personally didn’t enjoy it as much. Basil lime soda is a must! It’s real good! Chairs had no backing and as trendy as it looks it’s a bit hard to sit. Servers were busy and a bit too busy to come check on our table. So over all I would rate it 3.5 star but rounding up.
I discovered this restaurant through Instagram, especially since a few well-known foodies have featured it on their pages. Their $10 happy hour pho has drawn a lot of attention, often with people lining up to try it. I’ve always thought it would be a good idea to try their pho for just $10, but I never had the chance until now. This weekend, I happened to be in Burnaby, so I decided to visit. The restaurant’s walls are quite interesting, adorned with vibrant, colorful paintings of Vietnamese culture and people. When we arrived, there were only a few tables occupied, but the wait for our food was still relatively long. Unlike typical Vietnamese restaurants, there were no sauces on the tables, though they did provide a large pot of tea. We ordered two of their house special soups: Mami’s ‘Real’ Tomato Crab Noodles and the Can Tho Satay Noodles. The crab noodle soup was delicious—not too oily, with a rich, aromatic broth. The crab and pork meatballs were tender and flavorful. However, I wasn’t a fan of the satay noodles. While the broth had a nice satay flavor, the beef slices were overcooked and a bit dry, which didn’t complement the satay taste at all. I ended up only tasting a bit of the soup and meat and didn’t finish it, which was a bit disappointing overall.
Excellent happy hour deal (2-6 every day)! Tried $10 pho, $5 spring roll, and $4 drink deal. They were all more than decent with generous portion size. We particularly liked their spring roll a lot. Also liked that they gave us free jug of warm tea free.
This Vietnamese restaurant is located on Hastings Street, which is very convenient for taking buses or self driving. At Happy Hours, offer $10 beef pho at a very attractive price. The beef pho did not decrease in quality due to low prices, and the amount and ingredients were full, and the taste was also good. However, with too many customers, it is necessary to repeatedly urge them to complete the bill.
Tried the $10 Pho during happy hour. Also ordered the spring roll and the rainbow chicken. The spring roll was crispy and delicious. The rainbow chicken tastes great even without the lime sauce. Will definitely go back to try more dishes.
Came in at 5 pm on a Saturday and was seated promptly. Happy hour is until 6 pm for seven days a week. We ordered a happy hour pho, both happy hour baos, a happy hour spring roll, the regular carpaccio and the regular wings. No complaints about the food or service. Would come back for happy hour pho and beer any time. Really liked the crunch in the carpaccio, but a little on the sweet side. The wings definitely needed the sauce. It’s a bit loud in the restaurant, but not the worst that we’ve been to.
The restaurant had a cute aesthetic, but both the food and service could use some fine-tuning. We ordered the caramelized prawn and pork belly, salad rolls, the Saigon crepe, and the betel leaf-wrapped beef skewers. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy the caramelized dish at all—the shrimp didn’t complement it, and the flavor and texture weren’t appealing. The salad rolls didn’t seem very fresh, though the sauce was nice. The Saigon crepe looked fantastic with its beautiful presentation and assortment of greens, but it lacked flavor and wasn’t worth ordering. As for the beef skewers, they just tasted like regular sausages, so unless that’s what you’re looking for, I’d skip them. Service was okay, though they forgot to put our drink order through. Also, if you’re not a fan of eating dinner to EDM club music, this might not be the best spot for you. I might come back to try their phở, but I’m not sure I will. Overall, for what turned out to be an expensive meal, I was left disappointed.
Not sure what happened but they used to have really nice people working there. My understanding is that they probably thought being nice not getting them business so lets be nasty to people. I am talking about Chao Mami not the previous restaurant owner.
Wouldn t recommend coming here unless their service improves. Food is good but service is abysmal. It took a long time to have our order taken. Our pho soups came at the same time and after telling them whose was whose they just placed it on the table randomly without regard to who ordered what why even ask? Hard to flag down server. Some standoffish attitudes.
As the late Borat would say Very nice!
Was there as part of a big dinner party, service was fast and very good, portions are big, food is fresh , lots of options. My only suggestion would be their chairs, wayyyy too small and uncomfortable, def need a backing to that seat.
Tried the happy hour $10 pho. The portion is generous. The soup base has a hint of sour which personally dont really like it. Also tried their ice coffee, taste a bit too sweet.
the food is good but the servers are not attentive enough to their customers. have to wave at them several times just to get their attention. overall an ok experience
Great value for a lunch on the heights!
I was skeptical how good a $10 beef pho (during the 2-6pm happy hour) could be but it was definitely worth the price! The portion is great and tastes so delicious!
So many Pho restaurants in our area that suck!! As soon as I tasted the spring roll, I knew I was in for a great meal!! I will return!!
Tried out the happy hour (between5 and 6 pm) and was duly impressed. This happy hour is all about the $10 pho. It comes in a meal sized portion with lots of noodles and meat. I believe there is a vegetation option, too. For $1 extra, you can add bean sprouts, Thai basil and jalapeño. There are several snacks and non alcoholic beverages on the menu. The only alcohol with happy hour pricing is bottled beer for $4. Service was good. The restaurant was packed with a few people waiting in line outside. I would come back for this meal at this price point.
Came here for $10 happy hour pho. The food tasted good and the portion size was decent. I left feeling full. They charge an extra $1 for the garnish that normally comes free with pho, which I thought was really strange. And they took away the condiment bottles (sriracha and hoisin) away from my table without asking if I was done about 3/4 of the way through my meal, so that they could give them to another guest. I feel as though a restaurant should have enough condiment bottles available to stock each table, so not sure why they had to move mine to another table while I was still eating. It wasn t even that busy when I was there. They also do not provide sauce dishes (maybe they re available upon request? Annoying), despite giving people condiments, which I thought was inconvenient (especially if they take away the condiments before you re done eating) The service was honestly pretty exceptionally poor. The servers look to be teen to young adult ages, and they seem to prioritize standing around socializing with each other behind the front counter over properly serving customers. I ran out of water halfway through my meal, and it wasn t topped up until after I had already finished, even though I ate pretty slowly and noticed the servers standing around doing nothing, avoiding eye contact with their tables. When the server finally came around, she refilled my glass pretty carelessly and spilled a lot of water on my table, then asked are you done? without clearing my empty dishes, which made the question seem more like she was trying to usher me out. I m no stranger to dining at pho restaurants, and I know that one usually doesn t come for the service, but this was such lazy, terrible service that I feel like it needed to be mentioned. You don t always need to be ultra-friendly and smiley to your customers, but at the very least, make sure they have everything they need to enjoy their meal. Provide napkins and condiments freely, and refill water regularly. At these prices, you re not exactly paying for good service, but isn t that what tipping is for? And if you don t want to have to serve customers so attentively, provide a water refill station and keep cutlery and napkin dispensers on each table so we can at least serve ourselves.
Love the food at this place. Authentic! Love the murals. My only gripe is that the restaurant smells like cleaning solution. Either chlorox or some dettol antiseptic. I don t know. Every time I take a bite, I can also smell the cleaning solution they probably used cleaning the floors tables etc. Food
Newly renovated and has a good amount of seating. We made it just in time before their happy hour on $10 pho was done. Its a standard pho with meatballs and rare beef. The soup is beefy. Personally, I like it as it is not as overwhelming as other places.
This is the absolute best value meal you will find in Metro Vancouver. I have never had such good food for 10$ before. Truly feels like a 20-30$ restaurant for half the price
Order food on skip, rice is to wet, salad doesnt taste, beef too dry
Everything was very good, favourites are spring rolls, lollipops, shaken beef, short ribs
Food and service were good! We ordered their slow drip Viet coffee, spring rolls, house pho and lemongrass chilli chicken. Everything was so tasty, none greasy, and overall comforting. They re a bit on the pricey side but reasonably so because of the quality of their dishes.
Have been here 3 times since Brokenrice changed to Chao Mami. We have ordered a variety of different dishes to try upon each visit but each dish has been average. The $10 pho is good value but that s the best I can say about it. During our most recent visit, there was an issue with the pipes so the restaurant smelled like sewage. Not the restaurant s fault but it s quite off-putting when you are having a meal. On a final note - I appreciate the aesthetic of the restaurant but the chairs are so impractical. It s really difficult to hang your jacket on the back of the chair without it falling off onto the ground.
I ordered crab noodle but it was so salty. $4 drink tasted so weird and sour( coconut Thai milk tea) & Pandan coffee does not like coffee
Great place, great food, spring rolls were delicious! Get the Saigon beer to top it off
Yum!
Good food but the smell of the restaurant is awful,I can t even enjoy my food because of the smell, and then I went to the washroom and smells like horrible, never going back!
Great service and atmosphere and everything. Food was tasty. Nothing special, but cooked very nicely. Very home made feeling. Excellent
The beef could be less cooked but overall the spring rolls n sugarcane shrimps r delicious during this amazing happy hour deal! Attentive service by all the cheerful staff makes the experience more enjoyable!! Food
I think this place is overrated. The food is just okay I ve had better. The braised pork belly was overly salty and I didn t like the flavour. Came back and tried the bbh and it was just okay. The male servers were very dismissive, I tried to get their attention the two times I was there but they just walked away. I wouldn t go out of my way to come back here and it was too loud with the music blasting. Didn t care the seating either considering it s very tight and small.
Loved it!
Went here by the recommendation from a friend for lunch the other day and was decently satisfied with my decision to do so. The vibes are pretty modern with the decor and plating of food which is not so common for me. The only knocks are that the brisket for my pho was rubbery, and while the broth was good, was not amazing either Second was that the service seemed to hate their life, not overly enthusiastic nor friendly which was not a big deal for me, just different than what Id expect for a westernized vibe. Overall, good, not amazing and not terrible either, a bit pricey for the overall experience.
The beef pho broth was missing depth to the flavour. Also had too much sugar in it for my liking. Butter beef was good though and I m definitely willing to come back to try other things on the menu.
Nice restaurant with good deals. The service was good and food didnt take long to come out. Flavor was pretty good. I found it somewhat weird that they charged for basil/bean sprouts/lime, but then realized it was reasonable considering the deal. Weirdly they forgot to give lime for my whole table and we had to ask for it. I found table to be small and the seating wasnt comfortable. I found myself bumping shoulders quite often. Overall, great experience, but minor details diminished the experience.
Tasty food! Great service! Highly recommend their butter beef carpaccio and pandan iced coffee!
They did a good job decorating the place. I thought low back chairs were a bit odd, though they are not uncomfortable. I dont recall anything special about the pho broth back when it was Broken rice, so cant remember if its different now. The taste is very average, flavor is light and just... Unremarkable. Its ok. For $10 I am happy and would revisit, but if it was full price then I would be unlikely to pick this restaurant compared to other pho places. The Pandan coffee was really good and they had some interesting new drinks on the menu.
Very good place . So good food and service. I come back here again.
Food: good price, big portions, great flavors Service: great service by all the staff who we interacted with. Atmosphere: clean, trendy, has floss and mouthwash in the washroom what what?! Food : 5/5
Went for happy hour, pho was very good. The duck and pork belly bao were average and kinda pricey. Salad roll was good. The Pandan coffee and coconut slush coffee was very mild in flavour, we are used to stronger thicker coffee. Service was very good.
I found the cup dirty and asked the server for a new one, but she brought back another that looked even dirtier, saying it was just tea stains and nothing could be done. The seats were so small, it felt like I was back in Vietnam eating street food! The only hooks were under the table, so there was no good place for your jacket or belongings. Flies were buzzing around while we ate. For the high price, there are much better places nearby.
Love the $10 happy hour concept, especially in todays economy. Missed the times when average bowl of pho was only $8-10. Pretty disappointed in the portions. Asked for rare beef on the side, and it was just two small slices. It was mostly a bowl of soup and noodles rather than any meaningful toppings.
Service was not good and slow even tho resto was half full, but nothing can beat $10 HH pho in this economy!
The food is a win but i really got to point out the furniture. I might just be picky but I would really love a comfier chair and a higher table. Also the music is a bit loud for the occasion. It s super pretty tho.
The lemongrass chilli chicken on rice, topped with a fried egg on rice with veggies on the side - OMG it was sooo good! The lemongrass marinade made it so tasty and Delish, with just enough subtle but smouldering heat. We started with their butter beef, and it was also amazingly good, with pickled as well as deep fried onions and basil - perfect combination of tangy and sweet and aromatics - nestled in very tender thin cut raw steak. It was enough for a meal on its own! Will definitely come again. In fact may go tomorrow too! The servers were efficient, and friendly too, to top it off. Went there again a few days later, this time had their launch special, better come soon as they are phasing it out soon - the pork belly tray for two - with lettuce and vermicelli to wrap it in, so good!
What a treat for the taste buds! The dadan (?) coffee was great! The food was equally good, well made and great portions. Service was friendly and professional, helped give us some nice options and ideas. Food
We visited Chao Mami during happy hour and tried a variety of dishes: two $10 pho bowls, a $4 lychee shake, $4 coffee, $12 chicken lollipops, and a $15 spring roll order (which came with 6 pieces). All of this was enough to feed two adults and two toddlers we were stuffed! The food was delicious and reasonably priced, especially for happy hour. However, the service could use some improvement. The servers tended to hang out behind the cashier chatting, and we had to wave them down several times. One of them also forgot to put in our order for the chicken lollipops, so we had to wait a bit longer for that. It seemed like the staff wasn t very seasoned, but overall, the food made up for it. We ll likely be back for the food, but I hope the service improves.
Saw this place during Burnaby s Hats Off Day and finally made it. We came here often when it was Broken Rice and Steven (owner) told me how it s been rebranded to Chao Mami. Mami s Braised Pork Belly was tender and pickled salad was amazingly tasty. Mami s Lollipop Wings, I felt, could use a little more seasoning. The dipping sauce complimented the under seasoned wings. The staff was very friendly and food came out at a decent time. Will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes.
Excuse for the picture might not look as good as it should be, but highly recommended. I love the Bún Riêu so much. Definitely will come back Food
Ordered house pho for takeout but found the broth kinda bland? Noodles were overcooked (or maybe got overcooked in the containers, in which case, thats on me since it took me a while to get back home). Amount of toppings was ok. I appreciate the amount of beef balls where some other places cut them into thirds and give 2 tiny pieces. But overall, was underwhelmed. Probably wont order the house pho again Update: went again to try a different dish dine in. The house vermicelli was good, meat was cooked well
Love the new look. Service and quality of foods are great and delicious. Definitely will be coming back and highly recommended.
I had the unique privilege of meeting the mami of Chao Mami, and their whole family. To say that it is a family dedicated to good food and good service is a massive UNDERSTATEMENT. This has to be one of the best Vietnamese restaurants Ive ever been to. The food was crunchy, bursting with flavour, grilled to perfection. Stop reading reviews, just go - TRUST me, youll have a great time.
The seats by the sliding windows was filthy. The area on the rail was disgusting. The person who opened that sliding window should wipe it before the restaurant open. There is no way they cannot see it. The mixed lunch plate.with egg rolls, sugar cane shrimp, satay was kind.of bland, and so was the pho definitely not their specialty. The only thing that taste good was the satay noodles.
Stumbled on this place. Love the happy hour pho. Very tasty. Also love the modern vibes.
Best Tomato crab noodles in Burnaby
Food was amazing. Server took away my food while I was still working on it :( very very sad. Really loud music to a degree that we couldnt carry out a conversation, but again really good food!
Great spot!! Excellent quality - tasty food and good service. We ordered the green mango salad, salad rolls and beef short ribs with rice. We really enjoyed the mango salad (perfectly balanced dressing, fresh ingredients and crisp texture - as it should be) and beef shortribs (tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned). The Phnom Penh rolls was okay, next time I would try the classic pork and shrimp version. My family is from Vietnam and I can attest to the quality of food here. I will definitely be coming back.
Most gentrified pho restaurant youll ever experience. And prepare to pay 18$ for a bowl of mostly noodles. Mine had 3 slivers of sliced beef and when I moved the noodles around, all of the broth was gone, because there was sooooo much noodles. The when I asked if I could get a bit of broth because it was literally all gone. I was asked to pay 4$ for more. Honestly never going back! Id rather support the place up the street thats been operating there for over 25 years.
Good
Tried this little gem that recently rebranded as Chao Mami after the kids of the owner took over the business. The atmosphere is so nice with a beautiful wall mural and the big window that can be opened during the summer time. Tried their $10 pho during happy hour (2-6pm) and it was delicious!! A very hearty helping and you can add on sides as well! I got the spring roll as an add on and shared the lollipop chicken drumsticks (I believe this is a limited edition item on their menu for a certain period of time). The flavor was subtle but still delicious and the texture was on point!! Would definitely come back here again and recommend the happy hour pho
Don t think I ll come back again before they fix the flies problem. The Happy Hour Pho is a great deal! The food is delicious and also the drinks are good too! Tried their Coconut Pandan Coffee and I love it! The Lemongrass Chicken Rice with egg is also good. However there are a lot of flies flying in the restaurant. There are around 10 of them flying around during my meal time. I ve ordered a Lemongrass Chicken Rice to go for dinner, when I got home there is a fly inside the box it s alive and it s been inside with the food for a few hours therefore I don t think it s safe to eat it or not..and make me wonder if there s any flies on/ eating the food in the kitchen while they were preparing them Don t think I ll come back again before they fix the flies problem.
Weve ordered from here 3 times in the last month. It is super delicious! The first time we ordered, we got the shaken beef, BBH, and spring rolls. It was all delectable, especially the shaken beef! The spring rolls were also to die for, but they can be a bit oily. Im sure getting anything on their menu would be a good deal because this place is so good, but Id seriously recommend the shaken beef.
I had the mango salad with shrimp and it was absolutely delicious!
Maybe the best Vietnamese lunch I ve had in a city that has stiff competition including Ahn and Chi, Lunch Lady, Do Chay, et al. Bright, attractive space, real attention to plating, solid flavours yet no more expensive than anywhere else in this genre. I m impressed and will be back.
Went there for happy hour with $10 Pho and also tried other happy hour items. The Pho was really good and what I like about the soup is its clear and had the very nice star anise aroma in the soup which makes it so good. The Pho soup was nice and hot and the noodles were nice and smooth. Overall one of the best Pho I had for a while. Other items we tried were the chicken wings which was really tasty and good. In addition the spring roll was also very good and crispy. We also tried the Duck Bun and that was very tasty and the bun was nice and soft and moist. We also tried the coconut Thai Ice Milk Tea and Lychee shake which were both very refreshing. Everything we ordered was very good and definitely highly recommend. Will come back for some more!!!!
Highly recommend!
food is tasty. traditional vietnamese food with a little flare. they walk the walk and talk the talk. get the pork belly. thank me later
Disappointing night out... I tried a new soup (crab noodle soup) for the first time. The broth had no flavor and seemed watered down). Spring rolls were amazing, as usual. The rest of our meal was average. Hopefully, it will be better next time.
If you love authentic Vietnamese broken rice, this is your must-try restaurant. We always come for their broken rice (love so much!!!) We ordered 2 Grilled Pork Chops broken rice, they come with 2 big pork chops, juicy, tender, the seasoning is perfect. The fish sauce in the mini vintage porcelain vase. 10/10 as always Coconut shrimp cake 9/10, the fish sauce is the bonus point! Chicken wings 8/10. Honestly, we eat the chicken without dipping sauce, even they have 2 choices: fish sauce or spicy mayo. But the seasoning of the chicken is already taste, maybe the Vietnamese traditional dip (lemon pepper salt) more suitable Phnom Penh Rolls 8/10. The chinese sausage mix with veggie quite impressive and strange.
Still 2 stars. New management, but food and service is still poor. Food: 2/5 Cassava fries - chewy and barely had any paprika House pho - contained very little meat. Soup was not great. On the bland side. Veggie pho- had 2 pieces of tofu but a lot more veggies. Tasted like a mushroom based broth with MSG. Service : 2/5 Slow and not attentive despite having 6 people at the front. Was polite when they actually cared. Atmosphere - 2/5 Gone is the dim cosy interior, it s now very bright, full of colour. Much more casual, not somewhere I would bring a business client anymore. They also changed the chairs to these awful small stool like things with no back. Very uncomfortable. Previous review (2020): Food & service here is now substandard. They only have one size of pho now. The pho is received was in a large clump and the broth lacked any flavour.
Just ok! I had the vegan pho, vegetarian vermicelli and casava fries. They forget to bring the mayo for the fries and the sauce for the vermicelli. The pho was very bland, and the noodles were over cooked as they kept breaking into like pieces in my soup. The vermicelli was pretty good, but overall Ive had better at the many vegetarian places in Vancouver.
Delicious mango salad and duck confit sliders! And strong wifi
Well I arrived for a promotion of pho but guess what if you want everything that comes with a pho you have to pay extra and the broth is not that tasty, so you try it and then tell me what you think?
Nothing too crazy about this place. Their happy hour $10 pho is pretty good though. We also tried their sate pho, wasnt what I was expecting, wasnt good but also wasnt bad. Service was okay. Definitely better than broken rice though.
It s been a while since we last visited Broken Rice in North Burnaby. This Vietnamese restaurant located on Hastings Street has always been a spot where we knew we would get a good quality meal. Unlike most Vietnamese restaurants which seem to be hole-in-the-wall joints, Broken Rice seems to be of slightly higher ambiance with beautiful blue and white dishware. On this revisit, we decided to stick with their appetizers and ordered the Fried Chicken Wings ($8.95) tossed in a tamarind fish sauce, Pork and Shrimp Salad Rolls ($8.25), and the Coconut Shrimp Cakes ($9.50). We ve had their garlic butter chicken wings previously and, while not on the same level as the wings at Phnom Penh, we thought they did a good enough job that we wanted to try their other flavour. The tamarind fish sauce added a mix of sweet and tanginess to the wings. Meanwhile, the pork and shrimp salad rolls were stuffed full of vermicelli, shrimp, lettuce, and bean sprouts and served with a thick and creamy peanut dipping sauce. I think my favourite dish of this visit was the Coconut Shrimp Cakes or Bánh Kh t. These amazingly crispy mini pancakes made up of rice flour batter and coconut milk are fried into the shape of round molds with a super soft and creamy filling of minced shrimp, pork and green onions. To top it off, they serve it with n c m m sauce which adds to the sweet, sour, salty, and savory complexity of flavours. UPDATE Jun 2024 - Its been a while since we were last here (probably 5 years ago when it was known as Broken Rice). Since then, the restaurant has been taken over by the younger generation and theyve rebranded as Chao Mami. First off, it was quite chilly inside because they keep the large windows open in the front. This might be fine during the really hot summer weather but our visit in June was so cold we had to ask to be moved to a table further inside. We werent the only ones as we saw other diners who came after us also asked to be moved further inside. Ok, on with the food... we ordered a lychee shake (would have liked to see some whole lychee in here) and the coconut Thai iced tea (which was a bit stronger than other Thai iced teas weve had before). The butter beef carpaccio looked really nice. The beef was nice and tender but we kept feeling like something was missing from this dish like a punch of flavour. The chicken wings garlic butter had a perfect crispness to it and I could eat it all day long. Not much garlicky flavour to it tho. Last off was the Mamis house vermicelli platter with sugarcane shrimp, spring roll, chicken and pork skewers. A pretty good collection of items here. Not super fond of the small chairs with flat wooden seats as they were not super comfortable and provided no back support.
My friends & I visited on a Friday night, the restaurant was busy with tables turned around quickly. Although it was busy, the staff was very tentative & kind. Our food came reasonably quick for how busy it was. We really enjoyed the coconut shrimp cakes, spring rolls & braised pork belly. We will definitely be back soon.
My family has been eating here for years, first as Broken Rice and now as Chao Mami. The new rebranding/redesign is fun, and feels much more contemporary. I really appreciate that theyve always had several gluten-free and vegetarian and vegan options, and now theyve got them listed on the in-house menu (hopefully theyll add that to the website soon, too). Portion sizes are large, and their Hot & Sour Seafood soup is the best thing to help clear your sinuses when you have a cold ;p
Great spot with awesome food!
They currently have happy hours daily 2-6pm for 10$ pho dac biet. We ordered 3 meals 1 drink, theres a specialty about the Sate Noodles, Thai milktea they put coconut milk mix with the Thai powder i think, both are new tastes but the noodle maybe not my cot however pretty impressed about the Pho. Will order again the pho.
Polished and trendy space with a friendly atmosphere. Delicious food and fantastic service! Lots of choices on the menu. Loved the mango salad, salad rolls, and the lemon grass chicken pho.
THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND BEYOND DISGUSTING I PLACED AN ORDER FOR BEEF SHORT RIBS AND THEY SENT ME PORK WHICH IM HIGHLY ALLERGIC TOO. WHEN I CALLED THEU TOLD ME TO BASICALLY F MYSELF AND THAY THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THE FOOD IS OVERPRICED & DISGUSTING
Tasty food the screen near the kitchen is pretty exciting to see it stimulated my appetite so much
Great atmosphere and delicious food. Good for big parties (10 people) and the service is great. Would recommend
Good pho. Happy hour deals are hot!
Great place. The two kids who took over has really done a fantastic job. The interior has wonderful young people vibes. You cant miss out on their everyday happy hour from 2 to 6pm. 10$ pho and 4$ Drinks like beer and Thai milk teas are unbeatable in this economy. I will bring my homies and family here to have a good time!
We got the beef carpaccio, garlic buttery wings, and the $10 pho deal. The food overall was great, not quite outstanding, but the $10 pho deal which I think is a size small was what enticed me to come visit! And I can say it was worth the money. However, their customer service is horrid. Anytime we wanted help, we had to approach them :(. It got quite busy, which I understand can be stressful, but I felt that I was a bother as I had to ask for water multiple times as they were not going around to fill up empty cups. Don t get me wrong, they were very friendly, however they lacked to show willingness to help customers. What really upset me the most was the lack of communication we had with the servers. We wanted to get the pandan coffee which they said was sold out, so we ordered the coconut Thai tea instead. In the middle of finishing our food, we realized we haven t gotten our drink. We asked and they said it was sold out (first yikes), so we ordered the real fruit mango slush as the alternative. Minutes pass by and we still haven t gotten our drink, when asked they said that they ve forgotten about our order (second yikes) :(. We were nearing the end of meal so I just cancelled it and asked for a glass of water, just for them to forget again, until I asked the second time (third yikes) . I understand when it gets busy it s stressful, but this is unacceptable and I do not want any customer to experience what I have experienced so I hope they d learn from this. This is my first time really experiencing bad customer service, so they ve left a bad impression and I will not be going back. Altogether, the food and the atmosphere was good, but the customer service was what really did it for me.
Very flavorful pho broth, not heavy, not oily
10/10 !!!!! Sooooo nice & funky now !!! Great atmosphere, great service & the Vietnamese rolls were yuuuuummmm Food
Came for their grand opening promotion. Lots of parking on the streets and side streets. House pho - broth is quite bland. Not very beefy flavor. Noodles were perfectly al dente. Good amounts of meat. I would try the bun bo hue or bun rieu next time. Beef carpaccio - super flavorful. Like the addition of fried onion.
More moderate friendly staff non greasy foods Vegetarian options: Veggie option Parking: Free parking on Hastings and 2 big free City parkings at the back Wheelchair accessibility: Widely spaces
Good value for their pho and service was friendly :) clean restaurant to dine in as well which is not always common for Asian restaurants, so this is a big plus for me
Would recommend the Lemon grass chicken with egg !!
Delicious food and reasonable price! Def my new fav Vietnamese food go to!!
Loved the chicken wings, shaken beef, and the spring rolls. While the restaurant was quite busy, the staff was attentive and prompt. Def one my new go-to places for some vietnamese food!
Awesome. So yummy. Crab soup noodle soooo good and not freaking expensive.
Everything was so delicious. My picky 6 year old son devoured the pho and the garlic butter chicken wings. And the vermicelli with the skewers and sugar cane shrimp was great too... not to mention the tomato crab soup. Staff was really friendly and attentive.. tea was always refilled quickly and we were asked how the food was multiple times. Definitely heading back soon!!
We have dined at the previous iteration of this place (Broken Rice) and we liked it so we were eager to try the new twist that the new owners (who are the previous owner s kids?) put on it. We dined here the night before Hats Off Day and then came back the next day to grab a coffee and snacks from them on Hats Off Day. For the night we dined, we ordered a beef pho during their happy hour. We also ordered the braised pork belly and rice. The pho broth is savoury and tasty. The noodles are a little thinner than I am used to, but overall the dish was good. Especially at the happy hour price!! The star of the night was the braised pork. Wow, the pork was excellent! Flavour of the braised pork was so good that I almost wish I had more rice to go with it. On Hats Off Day, I had their ice pandan coffee and their fried chicken wings. Coffee was great cold and refreshing for the morning. The wings were also a winner, with a great flavour that made me want to order more! We will definitely be coming back.
We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share, but this one was my favorite: the coconut shrimp ball. Id never had it before, and its apparently a specialty from the central region(where the chef is from). The papaya salad was also super yummy and very refreshing!
Very much enjoyed it. Will be back!
Its been awhile since Ive eaten at a Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver as the prices have gone insanely high since covid times. I much prefer it in Vietnam! I heard about this place buzzing after reading the daily hive about the mother toiling a way for the last decade and now the kids have taken the rungs to freshen up the space. That stays true to the Vietnamese tradition! But a $10 Pho? Thats what Im here for, bring me back to the days where Vietnamese food was comfort food, not this new age gouge your eyes out to feel at home again pricing. My suspicions were on high alert, do they skimp the portions? are the bowls mini size? Is the broth some left over fluid with MSG thrown into it? The questions I had were endless. The answer. It was the best damn bowl of Pho Ive had in awhile and for 10$? Its not even a question! Ive come back here already 4x in the last 2 weeks! Just to satisfy my Pholess life away from Vietnam and to see if these guys are actually consistent. Every single time, its been the same, 4 slices of rare beef, 4 brisket, 4 meat balls, AND get this? Fresh Banh Pho. Not even that dried and rehydrated noodle that you get at most joints. The fresh ones here are a little thinner but you can tell the texture and the smell apart from the dried. At the end, no corners cut. That fresh Banh Pho was really the cherry on top! Oh and the broth, clean, flavourful and light! Which I thoroughly enjoyed its not as fatty or oily like I m used to. Pros - $10 Pho - Family run - Great atmosphere - Amazing service - Food on point! Cons - I cant really think of a con for $10 - Its in North Burnaby! (Please have one in Vancouver) Thank you for bringing Amazing Vietnamese food back to earth, Cant wait to come back again!
We have been this place since Broken rice. We glad still keep yummy menus. But one thing was not impress and very uncomfortable are Chair. They are too small ( like for small kids chair) seat and so short can t lean the back and enjoy the food. Hopefully will be improving would be great especially clients who want to have a special event there . The food was yummy. The service was good.
I came here in the lunch time. Although, it wasn t busy at all, their service was so bad. They gave us the dirty dish but they even didn t say anything. After that, they served us the drink with only half of glass for $6. It was very overpriced with that amount. We didn t expect too much for the food but even the service made us very disappointed. The food overall wasn t special and fresh. With the same amount, you can go other restaurants to get the best service and food!
Happy hour Pho is a good deal and the broth tastes good too.
I came here for the happy hour pho a few days ago and ordered the extra tendon, which costs $4. I received one piece of tendon the size of my thumb and thought it was odd given the cost. I flagged this by the male server if this was normal and he gave me a judgmental look and simply said tendon is expensive , then walked away. It would have been good to disclose in the menu that only one piece of tendon would be given for the happy hour pho for transparency. I would ve at least expected a few pieces. I won t be coming back with this type of attitude as having been to other pho restaurants in the area, such as Petit Saigon, the value for money and lack of customer service was very disappointing.
Pho was good although was less but worth the happy hour price of 10$. It was the first and only pho place which was clean , no bad smell and server were nice and welcoming beside the location was clean and nice. I love the choice of their drink for 4$.
The place looks nice and the service was really good. Friendly and attentive. The pho was lacking flavour and aroma. I dont understand all these positive reviews about their pho. Vancouver is full of amazing pho spots and this is not up to par. The chicken wings were delicious, a tad on the dry side, but good flavour.
The interior might be a little sparse, but the food is excellent! Service was friendly and attentive. The duck confit was delicious. Lemon Grass vermicelli... A must! Vegetarian options: Lots to choose from Parking: There is a paid parking lot at the back. Street parking can be tough to find. Kid-friendliness: No kid menu, but appetizers are a good option Wheelchair accessibility: Street level access
Fantastic service... meeting your every need (and usually a minute before you even thought you needed it)... what are they, psychic? Food is amazing and the new renovations give the restaurant a clean fresh vibe. Def one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. Parking: Parking just behind the restaurant.
Food is generic, nothing suprise. But the odd smell is noticed imediatly as soon as I walked in. Smell like mold... Food
I introduced my son to Vietnamese food here. He s a diehard sushi fan and I wanted to expand his culinary taste. He was game and ended up enjoying everything we ordered.
A wonderful family run restaurant with the best Vietnamese food in the city. I ve been to dozens of spots and this is our favorite. Simple, fresh, delicious.
Visited Chao Mami on their opening day, and although Broken Rice will be missed, Chao Mami offers a new chapter in its own unique way. We tried their new Spicy Fish Sauce chicken wings, which are probably my new favorite. Thank you Bao for making our cocktails drinks amazing & delicious. Overall, 10/10.
Just went to this new restaurant- it s gotta be the best Vietnamese food I ve had and I ve been to Vietnam a few times! I had the Shaken Beef, my partner the crab tomato soup. The beef was so tender and that crab soup was next level. I m going back for sure.
Food was the major draw back besides the lacking customer service. Did not enjoy any of the food or drinks we ordered. Lacking flavor with too much MSG. Immediate head ache with tingle on my tounge. Chairs were small and hard. Theres was no service. Basically the food court would be a 5star in comparison. Truly disappointed
I went here today for lunch, after seeing all the reviews and promos online. The wait was not too bad, tables were turning over fast. The food on the other hand is horrible, thats being nice. Literally just msg water mixed together, but for a premium price. Service was zero, after placing my order. The waitress never came back. Not worth trying, they paid family and friends for good reviews. Save your money
Food was amazing but what made it the best place was the service. The lady owner was super nice and kind. She made the experience wonderful. She is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. Also must order the BEST spring rolls in town there ! Highly recommend this hidden gem and rate 11/10. BEST PLACE EVER!!!!
Ate pho once, very good A little bit pricey Food
The best Com Tam(broken rice) in town! I seriously dont understand why this place is not more popular/crowded. Their Com suon bi cha(pork 3 way) is heavenly made. Food : 5/5
First time there and I have to say on this day, I couldn t ask for anything more. Perfect service, tea was topped up, food was well priced, flavourful and delicious. Will have to go back and try some of their other dishes. Give them a try, you won t be dissapointed. Well done, kudos to the staff
Overpriced and tastes like cafeteria food. Pork chop was sooo dry and pho broth was mediocre at best. The decor is pretty but the food is no where near authentic. Will not visit in the future.
Awesome food. My favourite Vietnamese in Burnaby.
Must try thier Pork belly and prawn!! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pho Food : 5/5 |
The food is great don t get me wrong- I love their vermicelli short ribs and their chicken on egg- I would order from this restaurant frequently all last year and all summer actually. The reason for the three stars is because the last 5 times I have order from them I have found atleast 1-3 hairs in my food. Not even short hairs - long hairs- so it was pretty unappetizing. I don t know if this place is under new management and or new owner but I m pretty sure kitchen workers should wear hair nets or something so that people don t find hair in their food. I waited a while to write this review thinking the hair could have been a one off but after literally 5 times in a row I think I m moving on from broken rice - too bad because like I said their food is quite tasty but unless you want someone else s hairs in your food don t order from them.
Food is really good and the ambience is nice & cozy!
feel like in Vietnam
I went a few times and service was good! today we went there for the Lunch, the service was not good and rice was horrible. We ordered the Short ribs with rice, the rice was very yuck and likes a leftover from yesterday.
Delicious! Good veggie options too
Vermicelli with beef were absolutely delicious. Portion was quite big and quickly served.
Came here with a friend and we were absolutely blown away at how delicious all of the food was! We were craving pho and Broken Rice popped up on a google search for places in our area. The place was extremely clean (I m super picky with this haha) and the service and atmosphere were wonderful! I also noticed it had quite a few customers inside eating, which is usually a good sign. We ordered the cassava fries (with jalapeño mayo), salad rolls (the peanut sauce was delicious), fresh mango and prawn salad (highly recommend) and we both got noodle soups! Overall, if you re looking for a chill place to enjoy delicious Vietnamese food in the area (and not break the bank!!) this place is the one! 10/10
The food is wonderful and prices fair. The service was lousy, no one asked how the meal was, I had to get up to request a sauce as no one came to my table and when I finished I sat there for a while until I caught the servers eye, I smile but didn t receive a smile back, the dining experience felt kinda cold.
This is one of our favourite take out places. We often get the house pho and the house vermicelli. Very tasty and good value. Their spring rolls are great. The two different sliders on their menu are also go to items. The people seem quite friendly as well. I recommend them for sure.
I have tried a lot of different Vietnamese restaurants in the greater Vancouver area and Brokenrice is still an overall favourite. The Satay noodles, beef pho, and beef stew noodles are all top notch. Spring rolls are addictive and salad rolls are very fresh. It is abit on the pricier side for Vietnamese food, but I think taste-wise it s worth it. The service can be hit or miss, but the food is always so good!
Really good food and good experience overall. My kids mostly enjoyed the food where normally they complain. I will be coming back again.
Our family love the Pho here. People are very friendly. Highly recommend the duck confit sliders.
I had high expectations of this place because of the white tablecloths and they asked us if we had a reservation. They took our order promptly and brought us tea. We ordered the wings to share, my partner ordered the pork 3 ways with spring roll, and I ordered a rare beef, beef ball pho. The wings came first and they were pretty good but a little too buttery and soggy for my liking, the pork 3 ways was good but the spring roll was burnt and had broken open so the taste wasn t great. My pho was underwhelming, the rare beef wasn t rare at all and the broth was almost bland. I had hoped the waiter would have come by to ask us how the food was, refill drinks etc, but noone did so whatever definitely not eager to drop $18 bucks on another mediocre dish with servers who don t really work for the tip.
All the rice was broken! They did not disappoint. Authentic Vietnamese restaurant.
The best restaurant in Vancouver everything fresh I really like it they are really good family business thank you so much for the delicious food and very good service I really appreciate if you guys .
Went there around 4pm and not that crowded. We tried Pork Three Ways , Stir-fried Lemongrass Chicken&Chilli and Vegetarian Pho . The Pork Three Ways was delicious, the best C m T m in town for me so far. It was on point. Had the flavorful taste like in Viet Nam. The meat loaf was chef s kiss. Wish they had some pickled radish as it would be better than the shredded lettuces. Stir-fried Lemongrass Chicken&Chilli tasted like heaven. Though it was a bit bland for me. Vegetarian Pho was boring, and kinda disappointing. I would like to have some tofu, not just only veggies in it. The broth was not tasty and rich at all, pretty bland. The server that took our order was kinda careless and unprofessional. We communicated with him in Vietnamese as we knew for sure he was Vietnamese too. Instead, he spoke English the whole time with us while he spoke in Vietnamese with another server. He was not really friendly at all as we called him to ask for some more fish sauce but he did not respond. The other server was much nicer and way more helpful. Atmosphere was a good point here. It was nicely decorated, felt like being back in Viet Nam.
We had a broken rice dish and a BBH and thought the broken rice dish was 100% better than the BBH. We saw a family next table bought their saigon crepe and looked really tasty so maybe we will try them next time. Food
Staff have no manners. I was dining inside and a very polite delivery driver came in to pick up the food. The staff was soo rude to him and asked him to wait outside of the restaurant for the food to get ready. This is so inhumane. I wouldn t want to dine in a place where there is no respect for others and no morality.
I m delivery guy I had pick up from this restaurant my food was not ready for pick she told me you can t stay inside the restaurant because I don t like crowded stay outside of the restaurant I felt so bad because i m a delivery guy that you supposed to do with me , I feel bad for management of this restaurant how they hired those kind of staff .
I love this pho spot! Super clean, chill environment and great quality food! The service is also great, my water glass never went empty. The staff are nice and parking is great. Love coming here!
Always great! Super friendly and lovely staff.
Got lemon grass chicken and sugar cane lamb grill, just exploded my taste buds
Ordered the chicken lemon grass and my husband ordered their rare beef pho. Big serving and delicious food, good service as well. The white bread on the Pork belly slider is hot and soft when served to us so we really enjoyed it.
I frequently visit Vietnamese establishments and the food here was adequate, but the device had a great deal to be desired. The waiter took our order (which he got wrong) and that was the last time we saw him unless he was specifically called upon. I was not impressed and will definitely take my business elsewhere.
Ordered the Rare beef and tendon pho. Great size and great portions. Broth is lighter than most other pho places, so definitely a good choice if you prefer something slightly on the lighter side. Sadly the rare beef is slightly on the well done side, and is a little more harder to chew on compared to some other places. Was looking forward to the tendon, but sadly only found 2 spoon sized pieces.
Amazing 5 stars
Very delicious authentic Vietnamese foods. Must try if youre around the area.
the best on heights
beautiful tables and chairs for an comfortable elegant meal Parking: free parking on Gilmore Food : 3/5 |
Food looks better than it tastes, the coffee tasted off / strange ( yes I m aware of Vietnamese coffee and been to Vietnam)
It is HIGHLY NOT recommended to eat at this restaurant as they may let you go into the kitchen and COOK BY YOURSELF! My friend went to the restaurant to pick up the food, waited patiently for 20 minutes without getting his food, and asked the waiter, who looks like actually owned the restaurant, what time he will get his foodl. The waiter told my friend they werent ready yet. However! The most ridiculous thing is he asked my friend go to the kitchen and cook by himself if my friend dont want to wait! ! This is so RUDE! Why would you be so rude to your customers? Isnt 20 minutes long enough for waiting? Is there Anything wrong to ask when the order will be ready? How rediculous if the costumer asked when the meal is ready, the waiter will be mad and let the customer to go into the kitchen and cook by himself? Are you sure about this? Is it what you mean? So next time I go to this restaurant, can I also go into the kitchen and cook by myself? It is so HORRIBLE!! The service of this place is such rude that I would never recommend anyone go to this restaurant. NEVER!
Pros: Spring rolls looked good, and there was easy parking Cons: day ruined I used to come here a lot but Im never going back again. The son of the owner who works front of house is obviously having a bad day every day. He was extremely hostile towards me and other customers. He acted like I, the customer, was the biggest threat to the business. I saw him ban a woman for critiquing the fries and the other staff just laughed. Very sad because I want his mother to succeed in this small business.
Do not come here unless you want to be treated like less than a human. Years ago, this place was decent. Unfortunately, the owners son is ruining the business. I went there for dinner with my girlfriend and from the first moment there was hostility from him. Short of patience, slamming everything around. Actually yelled at us for asking for more napkins. The other staff didnt intervene like it was normal. Food itself was okay but on the bland side, unfortunately. In my opinion, the waiter (owners son) should be kept away from the public as he is a danger. Someone is liable to get more than verbally harmed in the restaurant. Parking: Parking near the rear
It was good to have Vietnamese food around neighborhood. I went there in Lunch time.
Excellent food and service every time.
Nice atmosphere. Very good food and good service. I would recommend and return.
Great Vietnamese restaurant. Choices were much better than the usual pedestrian versions of pho at other places. Food was flavourful although not as intense as in Vietnam itself. Would still return though
Can t rate on atmosphere and service as we did a take-out, however what s most important is food quality and how it taste and unfortunately they fall short. I honestly don t know how they garnered 4.2 rating. We order their house pho, satay noodles and garlic butter wings. We were left with a depressing dinner. The noodles in both dishes were overcooked and lots were clumped up together. The broth for the pho lacked flavoured (as many had mentioned) and was full of MSG. The amount was also not adequate for $17. The satay noodles was a disaster and no depth to the soup whatsoever. The wings were $14 for 8 pieces (they don t specify quantity online), dry and lack flavoured.
I ordered delivery from here and I was disappointed in service and food quality. I asked for utensils, Sriracha and chili oil but they were all missed. They pack 1 tiny sauce container with Sriracha mixed with Hoison which I cannot eat so, the broth was boring. I also ordered spring roll. They forgot fish sauce and the spring roll was drenched in dark brown oil.
For take out, my expectations were blown. I loved the pickled veggies and the portion sizes. So tasty ! A step up from our regular Vietnamese places in Ontario.
They could not even take my takeout order right. I did not bring back home something what I had ordered. I called them to complain. A girl who took my order answerd my call, and just kept saying no, you did not say that without any apologize. Disappointed. I always liked their food and was satisfied with it, but not today... Just sad...
A very creditable vietnamese menu but only one pho dish that was vegetarian and took almost half an hour to arrive, so dont go if youre an impatient vegetarian! Rest of menu looked good so need a meat eater to go with and rate separately.
Disappointed experience. They take your order by verbal memorization. Impressive when it s done right, but terrible when half an hour later they tell you the order got messed up, then try to recall what you ordered only to tell you the wrong thing (no wonder my order was messed up). Ordered beef carpaccio (bland, needed more acidity like other popular pho restaurants). Duck sliders (needed some more sauce or richness to counter bland bun), Saigon crepe (again, mediocre at best), and Spicy Hue Lemongrass pho (lemon grass taste was there but it was missing a rich broth). The decor is interesting, like they took over an old Greek restaurant (I m not sure of their history). It s dimly lit in a not so appealing way. We sat window side and seemed like we were dining under emergency lighting and was so happy when the street light outside came on. If you re gonna set the dim lighting, you gotta set the mood too! Off point. Would unfortunately not return and do not recommend.
Go there if you want to ruin your day. Terrible wait times and rude unfriendly waiter services. They just do not care or have the patience to take orders or explain the food to the customer. Throw the food at your table and disappear. Then start taking away your plate as youre still eating. Seriously, wth is this a restaurant or McDonalds drive thru? Yikes. Never again!
a nice place great ambience. the old style tables and chairs are a nice touch. We had the Duck Confi Boa and those were really good. the star of the meal was the pork belly and shrimp broken rice. That was really good. Good food and good service.
I love the vegetarian bun meal here, its so delicious. Their spring rolls are the closest Ive found to the legendary now closed Bau Chaus and thats a treat! Other veggie options are available as well which is very nice, not always available in Vietnamese restaurants. My husband and friends have enjoyed every meat meal as well especially the lemon grass beef and the house bun. Salad rolls are solid too and the food is plentiful, which is worth the more pricey meals (but everything is going up in price so to be expected!).
I got the bun Bo hue and the soup was very bland and not salty enough. Meat portion in the soup was good but again very bland. The service is probably a two star as our server almost seemed upset when he was serving us and only had out water refilled once during our meal.
Tonnes of gluten free items including amazing spring rolls and the Vietnamese crepe which is so fresh and comes with tonnes of veggies. Amazing.
Pretty impressed w the food presentation and the taste is as good as it is, worth a try for other category
Was good food
Havent been here in ages. Their Chicken Clay Pot is a classic dish.
We been here multiple times. Staff here is amazing. So quick and attentive, this is what you want when you go to a resturant to eat. I own Bula Lounge across the street and when we are looking for a good meal we come here. The chef Is amazing!
Its not bad, but I was expecting better since the price is abit over average and the decor is nice. Not really much different from other Vietnamese places...
I pre-ordered take out in the afternoon through Skip the Dishes to be delivered later for dinner. What came was terrible! I had ordered garlic butter chicken wings, spring rolls and duck sliders. The chicken was dry and tough, the spring rolls were cold and soggy... The only thing that was remotely good was the luke-warm sliders. I think they made all the food when I ordered it in the afternoon and re-heated it for like 10 minutes before delivery. It was like eating old leftovers after heating it up in the microwave. So much for hot and fresh.
Fresh food best eaten at restaurant than takeout. Really enjoyed the regional section of the menu. Good balance of spice, texture, and herbs. Good service. Neighborhood gem.
First time at brokenrice and had a delicious meal! We got two plates to share between the two of us - the lemongrass chicken with egg and the shaken beef which came with a watercress salad on top. Everything was well seasoned and tasted great. Well portioned as well!
Great food, worst service in the history of time.
Total mix up of a take out. Not worth the price they charge.
If you get nothing else get the vegetarian spring rolls, so good. Between my wife and myself we have tried the entire menu that doesn t have pork or duck, their food is so very good and neither of us have been disappointed. The portions are huge so don t be turned off by the price, you get a wonderful quality food experience either for lunch or dinner and will leave stuffed.
Great food and great service. Food came out fast. Would eat here again. Salad rolls were huge and worth the price.
The food was awesome especially their cassava fries. Service was also good. I will definitely be back!
Went in with a group of friends for some snow-day appies & hot noodle soup. The food came out fast and the staff were super friendly and attentive!
Very nice spot, friendly staff, and nice setup. Able to accommodate good-sized tables. Kid-friendliness: Lots of families were at the spot when we went.
Food was delish. One of the best phos I have ever tried. Beef vermicelli was killer. Some unusual items on thr menu for a vietnamese restaurant in Metro Vancouver, such as cassava fries. They were amazingly delicious. Owners were very kind. Do not hesitate to go.
