With its origins in a traditional family owned kitchen full of rich flavors, the dream of opening up a restaurant turned into reality when Ha Cafe was opened in 2006. What started as a small and humble Vietnamese Restaurant has grown into what it is today, completely transforming in Burnaby with its original dishes and inviting atmosphere. Ha Cafe Vietnamese Restaurant is known for revolutionizing the way people eat and enjoy Pho and freshly cooked Vietnamese cuisines. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide our own unique flavours and share them with our customers. Come and taste our food!
Ended up at Ha Cafe on a whim when our original lunch plan fell through, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! Nestled right next to the closed Mui Garden Restaurant, Ha Cafe offers a genuine taste of Vietnamese cuisine. I savored their BBQ chicken and pork rice, which was exceptionally juicy and flavorful, truly capturing the essence of authentic Vietnamese dishes. My friend enjoyed their beef noodle soup, which was equally satisfying. We tried both hot and cold Vietnamese coffee, which were average, but the overall meal experience was wonderful. The staff were welcoming and friendly, enhancing our visit. Definitely planning a return visit to explore more of their menu!
Lemongrass chicken on rice impressed me. A bit sweet, full of flavour and grilled to perfection. Noodle soup was also very nice, recommended!
I don’t usually go to Kingsway nearby Metrotown for foods but this time I felt like having lunch outside rather than eating in food court. I searched for Vietnamese cafe and I found this place. They have pretty good reviews. I went there with my wife and we ordered grilled half pork and half chicken on rice and pho. This foods didn’t disappointed us. I was surprised the broth of the pho was gracefully rich and tasty. The beef balls had natural beef taste. The grilled pork and chicken were having a nice smoked flavour but not burnt. Well done! The owner was there serving the customers and he is friendly and welcoming. At one moment the sunlight came in from the window he immediately went to pull down the bind so the customers won’t get the sunlight directly into their eyes. He kept serving tea and refilled frequently. I’m happy with their service. In terms of foods and service quality, this is a place I will definitely return.
Special beef broth pho was excellent 👌 with price under control will go back 3 star for atmosphere cause it was painfully silent inside , maybe soft ambience would have been better.
This is a staple for pho near Metrotown mall. It does get very busy and there isn’t a lot of seating available so you may need to wait during busy periods Parking is a bit tough as it’s street parking only. For pho, they make a tasty broth and it’s very flavorful. Definitely the highlight of the meal. Not all pho is made the same and they definitely have the right mix. This review is mainly based on the food as its interior is similar to most pho places. Definitely worth stopping by for a quick bite before a movie.
Everything is great here. Big fan of the bbq pork Banh Mi. Neal, the owner is such a nice guy and knows how to run a restaurant. Affordable and delicious food consistently. Hes also a great tennis player!
Impressive dishes! Definitely coming back for more! Great price for all dishes! Well used of sound absorbing material, so it is quite quiet even there are many people. Very kind staff.
Ha cafe is simply the best Vietnamese restaurant around Metrotown for me. I guess the cook comes from the same part of the country with me, that’s why I loved the fascinating taste here right at the first time. I always come here every time I crave for Bún Bò Huế (5.Spicy Beef Noodle Soup). Exactly matches my taste. Savory, sweet, spicy. Perfectly handled. Other dishes were delicious too, but not the Bánh Mì. It was disappointing, not really special at all. The service was great, since the servers always stand at the cashier, in a ready position to greet and take orders for coming customers. They are all nice and sweet. It was warm and lovely here. The decorations were simple. It is a small place. I have been here so many times and every trip was a good trip, no complains at all. Definitely coming back here again.
The best vietnamese restaurant.
**Finally, a gem worth shouting about Ha Café!** First things first, the **lemongrass chicken on vermicelli?** Absolutely spot-on. The flavors **bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced.** You can taste the care in every bite. My colleague s grilled chicken and spring rolls? A duo so divine, it deserves a standing ovation. And don t even get me started on that **Vietnamese iced coffee.** Cold, rich, smooth **pure caffeine bliss.** It s like a wake-up call in a glass, done the right way. The service? **Impeccable.** Tea refilled without needing to ask **that s attention to detail.** These folks understand what it means to create an experience, not just serve a meal. Ha Café isn t just a restaurant; it s a masterclass in how to do Vietnamese cuisine justice.
Ha Cafe never disappoints. We often dine in but do take out more since we live close by and like eating at home. The portions are great, and the food is delicious. Not salty or under-seasoned! Take out never takes more than 10 mins to prepare and dining in means we get to see the lovely staff. I wish they would turn on the TV or play some music for ambiance but not a big deal :) my favourite item is the short ribs on vermicelli!! I could eat it every day.
First time at new location Food was fresh and service was attentive will be back soon.
the pho soup tastes horrible too sweet and no flavor..wont come back
Didn t hit the spot.beef noodle soup is bad.
I found this place on maps. Ordered first a Banh mi. I was delighted. I ordered one more and salad rolls to go. Its worth the money. Very attentive server. Loved it. Thank you!
I work nearby and love getting Vietnamese coffee (iced or hot) here. Really tasty :)))
The pho here is delicious, and the fried chicken wings are amazing! It s a popular spot, especially around lunchtime, so expect a bit of a line. Definitely worth the wait!
Michael is a legend! Food is always consistent and great!
Love everything here! All the dishes, the customer service, and even the tea they give for free!
Great spot for vegetarians, the owner is humble and friendly, and the prices are affordable.
Food is always delicious and well cooked. The service is always quick but with the quality and care required. I love their spring rolls!!!
Northern Pho tastes ok Large, delicious cup of pressed drink
Grilled chicken and rice. Perfect on a rainy evening.
The best food and services!!!
Good food Good service The beef ribs were excellent A bit difficult to find parking
I really like how they served the food in bowls it was very tasty
Banhmi was great definitely one of the best banhmi ive ever had
Best Vietnamese food Ive tried so far in Metro Vancouver
Lovely service and hands down one of the best soups I ve had in a long time in BC
Very good lemongrass chicken, infact the best I ve had in Vancouver so far. Chicken noodle soup was also amazing. Quantity is also good
I tried their large Rare Beef Pho. The amount of beef they gave me was very generous. My gf wasn t in the mood for pho (she never is lol) but she tried my pho later at home and she told me this was the best pho she ever had. I won t go as far as saying that but the price to food quality and quantity is very reasonable and I definitely would be back again. Customer service also was very good. The interior while small but it s very cozy.
Friendly & quick service. Oh yes #19 & #21 Update 2024.09.19 Price increased, just like everything else.. but so has hair. Unfortunately. the past 2/3 orders. Today, one appeared to have been marinated into the pork.
Never coming back again, bad food, nothing worth eating.
I went here about two days ago because I was craving pho. The two owners there were really great and they served us really good food! I love their chilli oil sauce, it s perfect. The seafood soup was amazing and flavourful!
I really love their Bun bo hue and the chili sauce
Had the Veggie Pho (which they can make Vegan if you ask to replace fish sauce with soy sauce) with Sweet and Sour soup and it was really delicious and very soothing if you are looking for something hot for your throat. It would be great if they can explicitly mention that Veggie options on the menu can be made Vegan as well so that people are aware. Bonus: They serve hot tea as well for free
Quaint, one of the best in South Burnaby. (Tried most of the menu: authentic flavors, broth and ice coffee.) The most stunning pachira aquatica/money tree at the front entrance.
The best pho in Burnaby, the best broth and the spring rolls. Been here a few times and it hasnt disappointed. Would highly recommend.
I came here for lunch and everything was even more than I expected. The real Vietnamese taste in Vancouver! Must try beef stew noodle and chicken wings, they re awesome.
so yummmyyyyyy Food : 5/5
The food is really good. Especially the seafood pho. Price is reasonable. Staffs are friendly.
Went mid-day so not very busy. Place is clean. Prices are reasonable. I had rare beef pho. The portion was a good size with a fair amount of beef. The beef was of decent quality and not chewy like some restaurants. The broth was tasty. I was not thirsty after which I am assuming that there was not a lot of MSG in the broth. Service was excellent. I would defiantly go back again.
I had bad experiences before they left their old location, however, I was pretty sad when I could not find them anywhere. The good thing is that not long after, they showed up at Kingsways new location. All my family love their food, its my favorite restaurant in Burnaby.
Quite literally the best vermicelli bowl I ve ever had, and I ve tried a lot. I never write reviews but Ha Cafe is more than deserving! Every element of the grilled pork vermicelli bowl was incredible. Perfectly crunchy spring rolls, the most flavourful and tender pork I ve ever had, and so many fresh veggies. You have to check this place out if you haven t already!
Small family run restaurant vibes. Owner/ server was very attentive and friendly. Pho was delicious, wished the portions were larger for the price. More noodles and meat
If only I lived around here I would eat here all the time. Their grilled pork and chicken is so amazingly delicious, I was craving it for a long time before finally being able to eat it again
One of the best beef noodle soups I have tried in the Metrotown area. I will probably come back to try their spring rolls and chicken wings.
Great food and good service It is a pretty small restaurant, but the staff are super friendly. I love the grill meat and the portion is good. Food
Amazing food, amazing service, will be visiting often. Great prices for food size. Food
Compared to Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver, I think its top tier. There arent many places where both pho and banh mi are delicious. A taste that all Koreans will love. Its impossible to compare it to Vietnamese restaurants in Korea. Also, they are very friendly, so I guess they will get a Michelin rating in the future. Highly recommended
Best Pho in Burnaby, staff is kind and friendly
My girlfriend and I come here often as the broth here is amazing. Service is also exceptional highly recommend!
Chicken on rice. Chicken is good yet the rice is a bit hard and dry Parking: Backstreet parking is free Food : 4/5 |
decent vietnamese food. the service was really nice
Good pho and banh mi
The staff is so friendly food is great! Beef stew is my go to here
We eat here weekly. The owner and staff are friendly and attentive. Food is always great.
Please train the servers better !!! I go here with my boyfriend sometimes because this restaurant is near our place. Before the owner is usually in the restaurant, but recently just the servers there. Today I got there, I heard the server talked to each other about me in their mother tongue, of course not saying something good. Probably they did not know I also speak the same language. I used to work as a server and I believe it is not the proper behavior of a staff, even quite rude. Please train them better, nobody wanna come to a place with that kind of customer service!! I grade 2 for the fast service and food
Its just so bad
One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Have been here since when the store first open and until now the food s quality is still very good.
Had a very nice lunch at this Vietnamese cafe. It seems like a very popular place with the full tables and customers who wait for tables. The service was very pleasant and extremely quick. The one thing I noticed was the absence of fresh basil and sprouts with the pho. Perhaps you have to ask for it since prevents wastage when customers prefer not to add it to their noodles.
Food is amazing! Love the banh mi s
Food was ok. Not sure why the dishes with vermicelli are on plates. It s not spaghetti.
Good taste, good service
One of my favourite vietnamese restaurants in town! Recommend their no1 Pho and chicken wings!
This is my familys go to Pho restaurant in Burnaby. Portions are big and service has always been very top notch (The owner is very attentive). I always get the Beef Number One Special here and it has always been consistently good. Ive had pho at other places, but this one stands out the most and I cant figure out what it is that makes their Pho so good. If I could give 6 stars, I would.
The one thing I hate, is that theyre now on Kingsway, across from Metrotown, No Free Parking. When they were at Old Orchard Mall, Parking Was Free! Love their Lemongrass Pork and Spring Rolls. Food : 5/5
Food was bland service was horrible. Ordered 2 soups one came within 10 minutes my friends cam 45 minutes after that. Asked several times and was told yes yes coming.... ahhh no no someone forgot but they never bothered to check.
Food was mediocre, soup wasnt that flavourful. We didnt sit there long and was basically rushed up but there was plenty of tables available still.
Bun Bo Hue (Spicy beef Noodle) hits the spot here. I havent had it anywhere else in Burnaby since moving to the area but this place will be my go safe bet. I dont want to drive to Vancouver just to have a bowl of BBH Spring rolls were good also My friend always orders the Hu tieu bo kho which is called Beef Noodle Stew Soup Dont park in the front from 3-6 or else youll get a ticket and towed.
They were at orchard mall down the road before. New location is smaller but well located across Metropolis mall. Great food. Good and fast service. Lunchtime can be very busy. Love their soup. Grilled pork was a bit too sweet for me. But freshly cooked. Recommend this place for quick Vietnamese food.
Hidden gem! Consistent, good value, very tasty, comfy and casual environment, very friendly staff. This is one of those places you become a regular at! I will see you soon Ha Cafe:)
A nice, bright restaurant across from Metro. I had their lemongrass chicken vermicelli and it was delicious. The chicken was a good portion and flavourful. There was plenty of lettuce/pickled veggies with the vermicelli. Service was alright. They were friendly but had to be frequently flagged down for things. Overall, it was a nice place to get a quick bite to eat.
Easily my go-to place for Vietnamese food. Excellent, simple, tasty menu and really friendly, efficient service.
Food was okay, nothing spectacular. Smaller portions comparing to other pho restaurants. Rice dishes (pork, beef) are probably the best on the menu
A very modern looking vietnamese restaurant. The place is small with very tiny tables. The menu doesnt have any vietnamese on it so some thing are confusing. They have a seafood patty noodle soup with tomato. The picture looks like bun rieu but not sure. It would have been better to have both english and vietnamese. We ordered the pho dac biet and the grilled pork with spring roll vermicelli. The pho broth was well made. There was a stronger taste of one of the ingredients but I cant pinpoint which one. The bowl was on the smaller size compared to other restaurants. Bean sprouts are already in the pho and not served on the size. They also give a pinky sized lime. It would have been nice to have some herbs too. The vermicelli was also well made. The spring roll was made with rice paper which I like. The pork pieces were really tender. The bowl size was also small. Overall, their dishes are made better than some mom and pop viet noodle shops, which reflects in the price. It would maybe be compared to the viet noodle guy near brentwood.
Banh Mi is super tasty and affordable. Pho is delicious too. Super attentive staff, and very quick service. 6/5 stars
Awesome service and friendly staff And good Pho Recommended dishes
Tasty and not too expensive
Consistent taste, portion, and service. Favourite go to Vietnamese restaurant. I come here at least 2 times a week.
Meat in noodle soup very dry and numbness, dont try.
Always good food and good service. People go back to eat at the same places because they know what they will get and what to expect - this is one of those places. Highly recommend.
Nice food
Average pho place without anything outstanding. Its convenient location will likely be its best trait. We ordered rare beef pho and beef vermicelli. Didn t really think they were good enough to be above average. The fact they didn t offer fresh bean sprouts on the side was a big negative. I wouldn t recommend this place unless you were nearby and craving for some
Havent been at the new location since they moved. Sooo good! Food changed slightly, absolutely for the better! I wish I lived closer to eat there more often. Ordered Lemongrass Porkchop.
This Vietnamese restaurant was not something i was expecting. I had high hopes. Unfortunately i was unimpressed. We had vermicelli with lemon grass chicken and grilled chicken & the shrimp salad roll. The flavors of the dishes especially the vermicelli was lacking more depth. I would not call this an authentic restaurant. The dishes are leaning more toward the westernized viet restaurant. I did not have to try the pho cause i know exactly that it was would lack richness and flavor. Definitely will not be coming back.
Ive never been to their old location but this has been my new go to Pho joint since they moved across Metrotown. Tasty and good service.
Always reluctant to leave anything less than 5 stars. One thing I did not like is their pho broth. It is very very sweet. My dining companion says it always is. Ive never experienced that with pho before. And i try not to judge a place by my experience with one employee, but the server was so focused on her phone, it was her priority and we were nothing more than an intrusion and interruption to how she really wanted to spend her time. I dont need to make a list of all the failings as a server - just suffice it to say they were plentiful and I didnt feel appreciated as a customer in the slightest. Two basic pho about 36 dollars with tax.
Delicious pho!
Always have a great experience here. Their soup and subs are always fresh and tasty.
Nice rice dish
I ve never been a big fan of pho but this one has completely changed my mind. Beef stew with a bit of spicy made my stomach full and cleaned my sinuses. Additionaly I tried fried vegetable spring rolls which were so crispy and soft inside.
The taste is okay, but the portion is too small. It s 30% smaller than other restaurants.
We tried bunh mi, spicy beef noodle soup and seafood soup. They were great. Price is standard and fits the quality & quantity.
OMG this restaurant foods make me wanna go back to Vietnam
good food at a good price. recommended.
Good pho
Consistent flavour, same as before they moved.
Very good. Grilled chicken is tender, not dry, and flavorful. Portion is good. The veggies on the side is sweet and sour, which accompanying the savory flavor well. Spring roll is crispy.
So good, top Vietnamese place... Food came fast and furious! Spring rolls are legit and the chicken wings are to die for. Parking kinda painful, but the food is Def worth it. Moved here from old orchard and havent lost touch!
Dishes are great and service really friendly. However, is the second time I have bugs on my vegetable noodle soup. Make sure to rinse the veggies before cooking them . !!
Fast & Friendly service...Very tasty sub and lemongrass pork & chicken...Deliciousness
Traditional Vietnamese taste. Delicious pho
Very delicious and very good service.
One of the best cuz they use rice wraps for spring rolls.
Food is INCREDIBLE (I am half Vietnamese half Cantonese), reminds me of family cooking. Service is intuitive, staff doesnt speak more than necessary (if you ask questions theyll respond, refill water as it goes low, provides you with anything you need without the constant banter in most NA restaurants). When I was paying my bill and requested a to/go cup I noticed the other service already putting it on my table. Definitely a MUST GO if you want some delicious authentic Vietnamese food.
Everything good! Food, service, very clean, kind staff. Food
Great
This place is absolutely so delicious. #16 was awesome, the chicken wings were oddly good too.
This place is delicious! I came across this because of Mui Garden on Kingsway. Mui Garden was closed so we decided to try the place next door. Their lemongrass chicken is well marinated and cooked perfectly. Their soup base is nice. The calamari was also very tender. They have their spring rolls with the rice paper so its crispy and chewy. The service is great. The restaurant is a bit tight though. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs
Delicious, good selection, friendly staff, good portion, good price. Looks recently renovated
Delicious food. Great service. Servers smile and greet you. Ordered Three items for togo: Spring roll Rice noodle soup with brisket Grilled chicken & spring roll on top of rice Reasonable price for great portion Very crispy spring rolls Thanks for the food!
Good food and friendly staff, price was a bit high though.
Tasty special noodle soup and awesome seafood noodle too, Vietnamese coffee is incredible good environment too
Really good food! Got the lemongrass pork and partner got the checked and pork combo. We also ordered deep fried meat wonton. Yummy!!! You can also mix the fried wonton with shrimp and meat. Vegetarian options: Theres a section in their menu Kid-friendliness: Its so wholesome Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, no stairs
The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The service is very fast, they take your order right away, keep your drink topped up and the food comes fast. The food is extremely good! They make their own sauce and the flavours and textures are the best in the city. Highly recommend this restaurant if you like Vietnamese food. I recommend trying the grilled pork vermicelli dish.
Very nice Vietnamese restaurant. Simple and elegant. Food is good, and the service friendly and efficient. Perfect for 2.
I dont want to sound rude and this is my first time doing this. The food was solid and very inexpensive. That being said, I had been taking my coffee breaks several times over the last week or two. This Cafes coffee is somewhat expensive (over 7 dollars after taxes) but I didnt mind and even tipped a couple of times. Today however, in a very insulting and loud tone and with a dozen of people in attendance...the manager had come over to where I had been seated and stated to me For future reference, we dont just serve coffee without a meal. I was very embarrassed. As an establishment, they have the right to set their own rules and I respect that, however, the message could have been conveyed more... respectfully as well discreetly, perhaps? Also, this is a cafe and in my experience, Cafes are known to serve just coffee, are they not? Again. Up to the owners. They just should have been more respectful as I had recommended this place to several of my friends. I wont be returning for my breaks any longer as I only have half hour. I may return some other days when I am not working, however, I dont feel too comfortable given what happened. Cheers.
Delicious authentic pho. The broth was amazing and the servers were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend the spicy beef noodle soup. Cant wait to try other menu items!
Service was very fast, and spicy soup was delicious!
Delicious Pho at a great price. Rice and stir fry beef were also delicious. Highly recommend!
Its bit of a hidden gem of a restaurant. I ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle soup and it was fantastic! The noodles were fresh, the meat provided were good portions and the broth had a nice kick to it. The service was great and were very attentive. Not sure if the AC was broken but it was quite warm in there for my liking but other than that, I would definitely come back!
Highly recommended for the beef stew noodle soup! Rich favoured in beef flank and the sweetness from the vegetables makes out the soup!
I got helicobacter from this place. I was really ill and couldnt eat anything for 3 months as the treatment for this was x4 heavy meds that made me feel like I was dying. That treatment didnt work so I had to do the x3 med treatment, which was just as bad. This place doesnt deserve a star. You only get helicobacter from 3rd world countries in which unsanitary handling of food and kitchen take place. That days a lot on its own.
Im tired from shopping. Its good to cushion my stomach.
The food is delicious and as straightforward as it can get. You will definitely be full after eating here. Food comes out quickly but the quality is always there. The banhmi, pho, and lemongrass chicken rice all are flavourful! The chicken wings were ok, but I definitely prefer the calamari over them. We never have to wait long for a table, even during peak hours. Service is average, they dont really make small talk which personally is ok with me since I just want to eat! They also take credit card which is a +1.
Tried raw beef noodle soup and seafood noodle soup. Both are tasty.
We live in the area and love to come here. Its a neighbourhood shop with reasonable prices and large portions. The quality of food is consistent and excellent.
Beef and soup is fantastic, I recommend the rare beef sliced noodle
Tried their fried wonton (12pc) and was good and perfectly filling.
Ok foods but services need serious improvement if they want to have customer retaintion. The middle age man ( possibly the owner or manager) s attitude is rude and lack of respect to customers. Food
Good food. Great price.
I stopped by on a whim, just walking by and saw their Bahn Mi and thought Id give it a shot. Im so glad I did. This is by far the tastiest vietnamese sub Ive had. A crisp airy crust covering the soft insides of the bun, with fresh, flavorful ingredients inside. Cant wait to go back and try other items. Had this bahn mi 3 days ago and Im still thinking about it. Great job Ill be back
Still as good as they used to be when they were located in Old Orchard. Its been a while since we last visited but the spicy chicken wings are skewers a good option here. Not so much spicy per se but a nice crunch to the exterior and good flavour (especially with the dipping sauce). Also had the grilled chicken and spring roll on vermicelli. I like that they use rice paper wrapper for the spring roll as it gives it a much nicer crunch. A mango smoothie and cold Thai milk tea to round out our meal. The place was suitably busy during the lunch hour.
My new go-to spot for Vietnamese food in Burnaby. Ive been here a few times already since they relocated, and they never disappointed. Great Food, Friendly & Fast Service! Place is a bit small compared to their old location. But this location is much for them. I will be back soon, if not later this evening. Lol
Its ok
Amazing food! Super nice staff. My go to spot for a good bowl of Pho.
Conveniently across from Metrotown. Food is tasty as ever. Owner is top notch. TV available to watch football. Hes a New England Patriots fan. Lol.
Great place to get Vietnamese food. Got the pork on rice with spring roll. A little too much rice and not enough pork. Service was prompt and constant. The owner is very attentive and fills your tea constantly and provides suggestions on what to eat and how. Parking is street parking.
This place is not deserving of 4.3. Not even 4.0. For those of you who rated this 5 stars, theres much MUCH better places not too far away and at the same price. The food was too sweet and too one-dimensional in flavour.
Always delicious with very kind and attentive staff. Have had their lemongrass vermicelli a lot and their banh mi once.
Ordered a Soup PHO Beef Brisket Okay portion on the low side As in noodles. They dont give me a plate of bean sprouts and leafs So I want a fun experience. I like to crutch fresh bean sprouts and peel the leaves off so Iam disaapaonted to come here. Ordered a spring roll was disappointed dry and no filling very thin roll. Different from the picture on the menu .. Anyways hopefully they read this to make things better
One of my favourite pho places! Their noodles are perfectly cooked and broth is delicious.
my family
Had their seafood noodle soup, which had a good variety of ingredients as advertised (fair-sized shrimp, shrimp balls, shrimp wonton which could have been larger, napa cabbage, bok choy and crispy fried onion/shallot bits). The broth was flavourful! It didnt taste too salty or filled with MSG. Service was friendly. Came during lunch hour and it was quite busy, so it seems popular with locals and is in a nice location across from Metrotown Mall. Would come back to try a combo meal.
Great restaurant, friendly staff (even with my 2 troublesome kids). Best pho in town, great smoothies and spring rolls. Would highly recommend!
Delicious Vietnamese. The spicy beef could have used slightly better meat, lots of fat.
This is our go-to place for Vietnamese food. Quality is consistently high. We usually order a Vietnamese sandwich (grilled chicken is best, I think), and either a noodle soup or vermicelli with grilled meat. Good portion size and good taste. We have been there over a dozen times, and they have never disappointed. Highly recommended.
Consistently fantastic vermicelli and pho. Great serving size and quality for the price.
Excellent food and service!
Favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town! Service is quick and spotless and staffs are very friendly. Must request utensils if you are taking it to go. Best spot for a busy office workers
Because my house is separated from the street, the food quality has been maintained several times.
Excellent Vietnamese food Nothing left on the bowl and plate
I like this place quantity and quality of food. Vermicelli and pho are very tasty and good. Try red pepper oil & paste. Food
Food is delicious and the service is very good too!
wow wow wee wooo this is the spot. Soup is on point noodle is amazing beef is amazing number 1 house special as a local guide, i recommend this place.
We went to this restaurant at the old location and finally came to visit the new location.. The place is clean and the staff is very nice. Simple menu for all your pho needs.. they also have rice and vermicelli dry bowl. Vietnamese subs are also available but we did not try it this time.
Quick, easy, cheap, tastey
we have always loved their Vietnamese sandwiches and continue to come back for them. Parking: there is parking in front of the ha cafe, but it is for all the shops in the plaza.
Its 5 star reviews so decided try out. ordered the basic beef soup #2. I v tried most of veit restaurants in van. ha cafe is too sweet for ME. It was rain I just wanted a hot good soup
Good food with reasonable price. Properly one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in metrotown area.
the food was delicious :) i m vegetarian and they had a few veg options on the menu and it was probably some of the best vietnamese food i ve had. Their hot and sour tofu soup had a base made of tomato and pineapple which was an ingredient I ve never tried in soup before. Portions were extremely generous, and we didn t even end up eating our banh mi
Very clean and good service Good taste of everything they have there its been my favorite Vietnamese restaurant for years Food
I went there for lunch, my intention was to go to Mui Garden, but it was closed on a Tuesday so this Ha Cafe is right next to Maui Garden and I decided to give it a try. Price was reasonable and food was better than average. I would go again.
Food was amazing! Their spring rolls are super crunchy and grilled meat was sooo good.
Delicious vermicelli, friendly and welcoming service.
The manager kicked us out after 45 min! My friends and I were eating lunch this afternoon (after lunch rush) and we were asked to leave twice my the manager after only having been in the restaurant for 45 min. The second time he asked us to leave, my friend told him how we hadn t not been there for long - not even a full hour - and the manager started arguing with us loudly. This was very embarrassing for us, for him, and for the rest of the restaurant. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to eat here, and neither will my friends.
You need to try the spicy beef noodles and the meat spring rolls.
Nice, friendly, local Viet noodle shop. Tasty and slightly above the Vancouver average quality. Recommended!
Amazing food!
Favorite go to Vietnam restaurants in town.i live in Coquitlam but whenever I crave good Vietnamese food I always go to Ha Cafe.such delicious food, big portion, reasonable price and excellent service!
Short and sweet menu but they do a great job on the classics, pay attention to special requests & allergies, and are definitely among the more homey-feeling restaurants you can find on this strip. Perfect comfort food at a perfectly reasonable price. Be aware it s a pretty small location. Not always a bad quality for a restaurant to have, but on my visit there was a group of people using vulgar language, telling gross stories about bodily functions, and everything else you can imagine not wanting to hear during dinner, and it was impossible to ignore because their conversation carried and drowned out every other noise in the place.
Best sandwich in the city. Havent found another Vietnamese place with anything nearly as delicious. Good price. Polite staff:)
Pho Ga so good
Ordered the grilled chicken with rice. I was happily surprised to see half the plate was salad (which is healthy) and food was delicious!! This place is 100/10. Will be coming back here
