UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
There’s such a stark difference between ordering from Pho Hong in the morning and at night, and it’s hard not to feel let down. This evening, I ordered Bun Bo Hue, but what I received was pho broth—completely missing the signature spicy kick. On top of that, I specifically asked for utensils, yet none were included. It’s disheartening because the morning staff always go the extra mile, carefully packing orders with extra napkins and utensils, making you feel cared for. Even when dining in, the morning team shines with their attention to detail. But the night shift? It feels like the care just isn’t there, and it’s honestly a little disappointing.
Good quality Vietnamese food that’s opened 24 hours in Burnaby. This place has been around for quite some time and offers delicious eats. Would recommend the lemongrass pork and chicken combination on rice. The portions are very filling and large and are roughly under 20$. Good solid Vietnamese eats.
ORDERED THIS IS HORRIBLE FOOD! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE EVEN FOR ANIMALS! WE SAID NOT TO ADD GREEN ONIONS OR CILANTRO... WE GOT ALOT OF GREEN ONIONS ON OUR ORDER!! Old dried up green onions, cold noodles, meat straight out of the fridge. not to mention when I called, the girl answered was acting like it was a different restaurant denying my order and then mysteriously found it... asked to speak to the manager and the idiot gave me another worker that had no idea what to say... but agreed how the food was not good. Been in the resto business too long to say I can not let this go. It was rancid food and I feel bad but the girl is an idiot and cook I spoke to seems to just have to cook as told. Health inspection required!
Loved the food there.it is open 24hrs Quality is well maintained Huge quantity (atleast for me) Will definitely come again
Went here for lunch with the family. Despite how much we ordered it we did not have to wait long at all. The service is some of the quickest, after ordering we waited around less than 15 minutes. We ordered #14 (x2), #64 (x2), the House special, fried wontons and spring rolls. All the Pho had big servings of meat, well worth the price. Overall everything was delicious, and we’ll definitely be coming back again!
Pretty clean, nice staff. VERY FAST SERVICE! When it comes to food, they are very generous with portions. Although it’s carb loading as it’s the cheapest ingredient in the list unlike any form protein but hey, I appreciate the care though! Ordered A23 item and 3 combo rolls. This is the first time I didn’t added anything to the broth and just enjoyed the soup as it is so props to the people in the kitchen. Not 5star restaurant but for what it is it’s a great value for service taste and speed with a really great price. Hope this place stays like this or even gets better. I would definitely come and try some other menu positions.
Food is delicious and hot, portions are reasonable for the price. I should give them extra credits for being not too salty since I didn’t feel thirsty after that. They created a YouTube playlist looping Vietnamese songs as background music. Their 7/24 availability is definitely a selling point. The building is a bit dated, especially the bathrooms.
I came here around 5 years ago and I ordered House Special Pho and Curry chicken rice. It was taste awful therefore I wouldn't want to eat here again even I moved to the neighborhood 3 years ago. However, I was craving for soup noodle late night at last year so I give it a try. I ordered House Special again it was Delicious especially the soup and also the Salad Rolls of the sauce very good. Nowadays I come to eat at least twice a week because they open 24/7 and the price reasonable. I highly recommend but why I didn't give 5 stars because a lot of things which are room for improvement.
The waiter is Vietnamese, the environment inside is like Western food, the food is of good quality, the soup is delicious, and the noodles are thin, you can go there again
Large serving, soup base is good ,change in the noodle taste different then before.
If you go at night you will see a convergence of young and old life begins and ends at pho hong time stops as loud dubstep plays and you eat the best lemongrass grilled chicken of your life entire drunken life.
I wish I could rate this 0 stars. I have been to many phos locations this is by far the worst. Extremely rude service the soup was cold. The lemon grass sub was full of fat. They dont charge take out orders for the containers but they treat the customers who eat inside like crap and charge them 2$ for a container. I spent 85$ to not eat any food. Very upset I wasted my money there would not recommend
Some waiters here just working sake of money they are no professional for serve the restaurant.
This is the second cup of coconut water I ordered and I only get half cup because the first cup was full of ice.
Honestly, Ive been to this place many times over the years, and I used to feel meh about the food and the service. But recently, the last couple of times Ive been here, the food is AMAZING, and the service is much better. Typical service for this sort of restaurant. The Spichy pho ( bun bo hue ) is my absolute favorite! The rice dish with chicken and pork is also wonderful and full of flavor! Also had the deep fried wontons, and they were also cooked perfectly. Portions are great, too!
second time here. The service the first time was meh, but the food tasted great. Came back a second visit and service was great. Food portions will fill you up and I will be returning to this restaurant again.
Pretty good tasting pho. Like other reviewers say, portions are great, you get lots of meat at a really fair price. The only thing for me was that there were some pieces of tendon that were hard. Looks like it hasnt had time to simmer. But I assume its a one off. Id come back and give them another try.
The most meaty pho in Greater Vancouver
Great food great music great service always opened late at night I recommend!
The seasoning just arrived, its delicious Thank you Hong Restaurant
This place has been a hit or miss in the past 10 years. 4.5/5 on taste is based on todays meal. Update: visited recently and it was a hit :)
Just had breakfast here. The service was quite fast and the portion was great. The taste seemed par for the course. Booth and upholstery seemed clean.
I order picked up for three items. And they double checked with me. They end up only gave me two meals. I paid for three items Food
We came here all the way from Vancouver to try bún m m -a noodle soup that we really like but not many restaurants offer it here. Though we all have different taste - some wanted it a bit sweeter, some found its not spicy enough; we all agree that its the best in Vancouver so far from our bún m m quest. Happy that we made the trip. To those who dont know what this dish is, please dont try from curiosity, and then give poor reviews. Its very unfair to the restaurant. This noddle soup is very fishy, salty (and sweet). Even many Vietnamese run away from it.
The food was not good at all. Customer service horrible . Don t waste your money or time.
Nice to find some 24-hour places still exist. Pho was okay with good portions and chewy noodles. The lemongrass bahn mi had a lot of meat in it and was very tasty. Small issue was that we ordered 2 lemon sodas and got 2 lemonades instead.
Tastes good.
Lots of brisket, steak and tendons. #23 and #24 House Special Pho
Busy but food was good. Service isn t really service but its an asian restaurant so it feels like home a little bit.
I have to leave a review. I ordered many times from Uber and every time I was impressed by the portion of food, the great amount of meats with the price. The taste is also amazing
I ve never had hard tendon in pho before. Also very slow service
Best Vietnamese spring rolls
The rice noodles in the beef soup were all broken pieces. The soup itself was not tasty at all. Not recommend; will not come again.
Pho dac biet large #23 Chicken and pork nem nueong #42 Food : 5/5
Delicious and very fast service
24 hours~
I came very late and ordered house special. That s how I measure pho restaurants. It was delicious, so fresh and very big. Surely I will bring my friends hopefully dates
they gave me bubble tea without pearls and charged me 75 cents for additional pearls. bubble tea still tasted bland afterwards. The owner wasnt accommodating about compensating things and also no discounts. I had my Pho with raw beef that wasnt cooked properly in the bowl. I was concerned about getting food poisoning. We had tofu that wasnt cooked properly either as well as another plate of fried tofu that was too salty itself. Also have been waiting for 20mins to get my order. Very SLOW service. This will be my first and last time there. dont recommend this place at all.
This place is disgusting! The employee doesn t have any supervisor or manager on the floor and when I complained about the services he didn t care to compensate or offer anything. Oh you can contact the owner, the owner isn t even in. They told me the owner comes 1-2 times every other week. I decided to leave my contact and the employee told me oh you can leave your contact information but the owner will probably look at it and just throw it away. No wander they don t care about their customers! They won t do anything. This place just has lots of greed. Not coming back ever again! Just a FYI your waiting is minimum 40 minutes to a hour for just a tofu.
My friend recommended trying Bun Mam at Pho Hong (Kingsway Burnaby), and I was delighted by the experience. The dish is incredibly flavorful, with a rich, savoury broth that perfectly captures the traditional taste of this iconic dish. Bun Mam is a must-try. Its not officially on the menu yet; you can order it.
Came here recently to grab something to eat late at night with some friends. Absolutely dissatisfied with the visit. Ordered a few bowls of pho and plates of tofu. Food didnt come out until approximately 20 minutes later with the service mixing up our pho bowls and then had to redo all of it again. Finally our pho bowls came and my friend had a piece of undercooked beef in hers, tofu my other friends had were also undercooked and we also ordered deep fried tofu which was overly salted. Service was the absolute let down on the visit. Super slow. Not recommending this place. Theres a better pho place down the road.
This may look like a hole in the ground but it is an excellent place for authentic Vietnamese food. Big portions and reasonable prices definitely make me return here over and over.
If you are looking for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, you found a great place. I had a great pho full of fresh vegetables, strong broth, and tasty wontons.
How do you mess up a simple order. First the pho ga is not the regular one. They fried the chicken. 2nd they gave old or reused bean sprout. Last time ordering here for sure.
Ordered with Uber. Really surprised at how flavourful the lemongrass chicken is. More authentic. Better quality of meat. Different taste from those westernized places. (Yuk) The deep fried rolls were excellent. The fish sauce was not watery. Huge portion of noodles too.
Great Pho. Wontons were really yummy too.
Shrimp in one of my shrimp rolls were not deveined .... Not appetizing at all .... They did offer make new ones even new one not appetizing . no discount tho . Would not recommend this place.
Best spot for 24 hr eats
Takeout is a good portion and the taste is better than the average Vietnamese restaurants Ive tried so far. I recommend the cheese wontons, anything with nem (pork), bun bo hue, their rice and vermicelli dishes
Food is good.
Great service and wonderful Pho
Ph H ng Vietnamese Restaurant has won me back! Theyve really stepped up their game recently. The portions and amount of meat in their pho are now much more generous, which is a big win in my books. It feels like youre getting more bang for your buck. Honestly, I had been venturing out to other Pho places in Surrey, searching for better value. But the convenience of Ph H ngs location combined with their improved portions makes them the clear winner for me now. Its great to have a delicious and satisfying pho option close by that doesnt skimp on the good stuff. If youre looking for a tasty and affordable pho fix in Burnaby, I definitely recommend giving Ph H ng another try. They seem to have listened to customer feedback and made some positive changes.
Best pho
chubby waitor with the brown highlights hair was a bit rude. Needs better training and learn how to be polite to customers. Kalamari squid was rubbery and didnt seem fresh and was cold.
One of the best pho in town plus all kinds of other delicious things and specialtys! We loved it! Recommended dishes
Children run the place, me and a friend sat down and they never brought us the menu or told us its a scan thing for ten plus minutes all while blasting rave songs, so we got up and left.
a lot cleaner than i used to remember, good pho considering its 24 hours. Overcooked the noodles today Food : 1/5
$26 have rice, beef, pork and chicken are really good deal.
Pho
It seems like Pho Hong Vietnamese Restaurant has existed for years. The exterior isnt much to look at... it actually reminds me of an old house (complete will bars on the windows). Its been a number of years since I last visited this place. From what I remembered, service was spotty at best here and my visit in late February confirmed that things havent really changed much over the years. To be fair, service appeared a bit friendlier for regular patrons and it depended on who was serving you. The interior is laid out in a utilitarian manner with a combination of tables and booths set up in a grid pattern that takes up the entire room. Off the entrance is a small cashier area where you go to pay (cash or debit only). The restaurant filled up by noon so its still popular with many people. On my first revisit, I ordered the Bun Bo Hue ($9 for large) which contained beef, Vietnamese ham, and chicken balls. There was plenty of thinly cut beef (which wasnt too tender) as well as tender, thick, round rice vermicelli noodles. On a subsequent revisit, I ordered the Bun Thit Nuong, Cha Gio ($11.95). This is a popular dish consisting of grilled lemongrass pork with rice vermicelli and deep-fried spring roll. I had a different waitress on this visit and service was a bit better. This was a very large bowl and was quite filling. They dont use rice paper wrapper in their spring rolls (which was a bit of a disappointment to me) but it wasnt too bad and was freshly fried with a tightly packed filling. I found that the grilled pork, which had some fatty bits in it, was just okay and had a bit of char to some of the pieces. The fish sauce lacks flavour but this is a filling dish if youre looking for something to satisfy your hunger. On my subsequent revisit, I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken with Rice ($10.50) which turned out better than the lemongrass pork. Too bad it didnt come with a spring roll. The chicken had a nice char on it but the meat tended to be on the dry side. Dont even bother with the tomato because that really wasnt very good. Like all of my other meals here, the portion size is very generous. Overall, the food here is fairly average in terms of Vietnamese food with more focus put on giving you large serving sizes instead of flavour. The soup noodles come out very quick but the grilled items take a bit longer to come out. Update Jul 2024: Its been about 5 years since my last visit here. Some of the changes I noticed is they moved the location of the cashier from the front and they accept credit card now. We had the mango green tea and passion fruit green tea ($4.5 each) as well as the butter garlic chicken wings ($12.25) and the beef carpaccio ($13.99). Chicken wings were nice and crispy but really lacked the butter garlic sauce (it came served with a standard sweet chili dipping sauce). The beef carpaccio really didnt look anything like I expected. Instead of rare beef, the beef was fully cooked and seemed to be the beef they use for their pho dishes. While the flavour wasnt bad, its a crime to call this carpaccio. We wound up taking it home and repurposing it for homemade pho. We also ordered the deep fried fish cakes ($12.25). The fish cakes were light and bouncy to the bite. One of the better items we had on this visit.
My go-to for a quick pho. Its 24/7 too!
Quality has gone downhill.
I have been going to this restaurant for years and I love it so much. The food was good. It s a late night restaurant, which is a plus. And the people there are so nice and friendly and their service is great. Unfortunately, I may not be able to return upon learning that 90% of their food contains sesame/sesame oil and my dietary restrictions don t allow me to consume sesame at all. I may need to restrict myself into coming here unless I can order drinks only such as their coffee or teas. Maybe if the food didn t contain sesame, I would come back. Until then, I ll restrict myself. Dietary restrictions: I cannot have beef or sesame.
This place has my favorite bun bo hue (#32) with generous portions, its a must try. Havent found another pho spot that compares yet. Never had an issue with service in the years Ive been coming here.
Big meal and tasty! We came three days in a row!
Before we dig in, I ask the server for their House Special take-out. But when we finished and ask for the bill and pay I told the cashier if where is my house special take-out and I realized they didn t include it in my order, so wasted my time waiting for the order again. So frustrated and disappointed. Never comeback
I have known about this place for around 20 yrs. Not sure if it has always been owned by the same people. We went there last week for lunch. I like the food here and the portions are large. But be careful when ordering they do not put all the ingredients on the menu. We ordered shrimp salad roles only to find that this place puts pork in them. I don t eat pork so meh. Also the servers didn t seem to care much about serving. Our server also seemed annoyed that we were ordering. Vegetarian options: There was a page that said vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: Tell the server if you have allergies. Also make sure to ask what is in good. Some of the main ingredients are not listed on all the food.
Showed up at 3am and was promptly helped, Food was fresh and absolutely delicious. Best 24/7 food in the area by far
bob is the best waiter
Reasonable prices with huge portions. Tastes authentic.
So good taste & big portion. Highly recommend!
Although the old Vietnamese restaurant has been renovated, it still looks a bit dark. Food gourmets have mixed likes and dislikes, so you have to taste it yourself to know whether it suits your taste.
Really great food, so much meat!
Pretty good Pho
Waited for 10 minutes at the front door to be seated and no one checked on me! Walked away and won t be back
Often come to this pho , this experience is particularly bad. The cold water took 10 minutes to be served after three urges, and the other table was served immediately after we asked for water. The waiters are extremely impatient. Is that discrimination? It wont come again
This is friendly family establishment ...good food and reasonable
Its quite different from the place years ago. New decor, place looks spacious and uncluttered. Pho is AMAZING!! Huge bowls and even I couldnt finish. Fried boneless chicken and veggie spring rolls were great. L
Visited this restaurant after being jet lagged and it was a life saver, since it s opened 24 hours and we don t have too many of those in the lower Mainland. The food was great, very tasty. The service was ok, you might have to ask for something a couple of times I think they can really improve on that but the food was fresh even thought it was 2 am at the time I went. Definitely recommended.
Food came so fast. Good portions. Service was great, fast, efficient and knowledgeable. Only 1 complaint...change phone ringer, plz ,its loud and bothersome. Thank u for being open late.
Lemon grass chicken is amazing and it is the very first Vietnamese place Ive been to in ever. Hope to try more and different type of authentic Vietnamese food
Asked them very nicely to bag the drink and fully tie the takeout bag and not only do they not bag the drink, they leave the takeout bag fully open on purpose. A shame that this is one of the only 24/7 restaurants in the area, but I will not be coming back.
I recently dined at a Vietnamese restaurant and I was blown away by the delicious food they served. The BBQ dishes, specifically the chicken, beef, and pork, were cooked to perfection and were bursting with flavor. I also highly recommend trying the shrimp appetizer, it was a great start to the meal. Overall, I was impressed with the authenticity and quality of the Vietnamese cuisine at this restaurant. I will definitely be returning for more delicious meals.
A decent Vietnamese place. In Canada this place is solid. Nothing particularly good or bad, just an average Pho spot. Good for late at night, with a large group of people or both.
Excellent chicken lemon grass
Best 24/7 Vietnamese joint round town
Way way better than that other 24 hour pho place further down along Kingsway and Joyce. Generous meat portions and is flavorful. This is my new 24 hour go to pho
The pho is not bad, price is reasonable and lots of meat inside. We come here once in a while and really appreciate the size and the price. Can t get this size and price in Richmond. The soup base is actually quite good! Can t complain!
food is delicious Ive been there quite a few times and the female server was really friendly. The male server is like an asshole. I fell out of love with the male server and will never go back to it. I asked for the cilantro to be removed, but they added it. I asked for the cilantro to be removed, but when they told me it was included, I said okay, took it to the kitchen, and gave it to them without the cilantro. I took a bite and realized it was the same sandwich. -> What if I am allergic? When I asked to pay, he pointed his finger at the counter in front. If you don t want to work, don t do it, you idiot.
One of the best pho broths I ve had. They re open 24 hours. Meat to noodles ratio is great as well. Would highly recommend
I ordered from Pho Hong mistakenly and I found my new favorite place! The portions are large and the flavor is great. Even after being delivered almost 30 minutes away it was still hot and crispy! Great place to try!
Yummy! Thanks for open 24/7 !!! Food
This place is the best pho place in Van in my opinion. Staffs were nice and friendly, and food was amazing. We had salad rolls, grilled chicken with rice and steak pho with beef balls. Perfect for 5 yr olds we brought and they provided kids utensils too. Def will go back when I visit Vancouver again.
This place is great, always fresh food even late at night
Fast service with tasty food. The portions are great and the flavour is good. The price is also extremely fair.Recommend the lemongrass chicken bàhn mì, & wonton soup with veggies, and other soups.Definitely worth supporting this business and giving it a try :)
Great pho, fast service. Two thumbs up. Id definitely go back to this place.
Take out took 35 mins to prepare for 2 items and I called in advance. They said 15-20 mins. Very upset about the service
Adequate late night pho.
If you want some excellent Vietnamese food, I highly recommend Ph H ng. You will fall in love with it!
Fast service and easy to manage the orders. The food could have a bit more seasonings like the chicken wings and some of the meats. But the broth is so good! I had a large NO.14 on the menu and it was very good.
For a taste of royalty, dine at Ph H ng Restaurant where every guest is treated like a king
Portion sizes were generous and represented good value for money.
Restaurant ambiance was pleasant, but the lighting was a bit too dim for comfortable dining.
The restaurant could benefit from adding more vegetarian/vegan options to their menu.
Indulge in the simplicity of Vietnamese street food at Ph H ng Vietnamese Restaurant where dishes like banh mi and pho are served with a side of nostalgia
From the spicy kick of the bun bo hue to the comforting warmth of the pho ga, at Ph H ng Vietnamese Restaurant offers Vietnamese classics that never disappoint.
Experience the bold flavors of the bun bo gio heo at Ph H ng Vietnamese Restaurant where tender beef and pork are served over rice noodles in a spicy broth
Maintain consistency in food quality and portion sizes across different visits.
So good!
Prawn salad roll is super fresh and tasty! Parking: Parking is easy as the restaurant is located in the shopping centre. Food : 5/5 |
This is 24 hours a day, so you can eat Vietnamese pho anytime you want. I remember there is a karaoke on weekends where you can sing on stage, but I havent come across it yet. The pho here has an average taste, and is not particularly good. Although the owner has changed, it has been open for 20 years and I am used to it, so I still want to try it.
Super convenient 24 hours a day
This is my first time eating here but my family had visited this location many years ago. Not sure if it s the same owners but for a business to have lasted over 2 decades is rare these days. We all had large bowls of pho and left feeling very satisfied. Our table had 2 orders of the beef pho with tripe and tendon, a chicken pho that had many pieces of roast chicken and a seafood pho that had variety of vegetables. Good value for the amount of food.
Pho Hong, on Kingsway, not only has pho but also many Vietnamese cuisines for you to choose from. This time I used the dish Grilled ribs with rice and fried eggs. Not only delicious in quality but also filling in quantity. To me, its amazing! The meat is marinated just enough, grilled until cooked so it is very soft, medium-bodied and not dry. The omelet is also made very well. Rice and eggs are served with mixed fish sauce for the perfect taste. Thank you shop!
I ordered my meal from this place via Uber Eats, cant speak to the service, nor the atmosphere of the place lol The portion is reasonable, and the soup and noodles and ingredients are separated in packing. Would highly recommend yo have a huge bowl holding the noodles and soup for consuming. otherwise, you may have trouble using the container provided. The coffee with condensed milk tastes great and rich... less condensed milk than expected, but that makes it healthier and less guilty for me, lol
The food here is very average
This was my go to place for pho for years. The pho is very flavourful and delicious but the person I eat out with a lot found the msg or something (I dont know what) in there to make them not feel well so I dont go there so much anymore. Since having tried other pho places, I do find this place pretty salty. I have to drink a lot of water afterwards. The decor of the place isnt fancy. Its pretty simple and dishes are inexpensive plastic so if youre looking for something a little more classy, this isnt the place. The staff isnt super friendly--just business. They want cash only for payment. There are a few parking spots at the side of the building and I always get a spot here--maybe I am lucky! Parking: About 7 free spots beside building.
This is my late night go to restaurant. Visit here couple times a month. Love the variety of their food.
Very good.
The best late night go to. They are open 24 hours. The prices are great, good portions & taste is fine, keep expectations at bay and you will be happy.
Awesome and 24/7. Great place to grab a bite in burnaby pho - Viet style
Wouldnt go back for sure thats my one star from me. Staff aint friendly
Quick, effective, tasty and ALL HOURS Pho place. The broth was good, noodles tasty and included a ton of meat. Was surprisingly busy for 4am.
My first time pho in van . So many memories
Very satisfied with lunch. Chicken pho, lemongrass chicken and vermicelli and 2 spring rolls. The best grilled chicken and vermicelli I have had in a long time! Portions were very large. Highly recommend!
Homie didnt want to serve me beer cuz he say it after 11 hes not allowed to. Like bro u a vietnamese restaurant and its night time, i only see demons in the place. Give me ma gaddam beer
I liked the flavor of thier wonton. I found the grilled pork chop dry and the rice blane...it would have been nice if it was flavored ie: coconut. They give huge portions.
Classic food nice staff large portions
Was very pleased to find this little gem. I havent been able to eat much past few days and the small pho and salad wrap was delicious. Thanks for a job well done! Vegetarian options: The vegetarian wrap and pho was hearty and scrumptious will be a regular as its within a 5 minute walk from home.
Open 24 hours, value for money because the portions are good for 2 persons, everything I ordered was tasteful. Will definitely go back.
This place is the best pho on the Lower Mainland, I ve tried many places. It s very comforting, best price as well.
Vermicelli bowl with pork chicken beef spring roll so good. Lots of fish sauce too. Add chilli oil. Sooo delicious. Open super late
Open 24 hours, which is excellent for me as a night shift worker. They somehow deliver to Sapperton area on Uber, and this is the only reason I use that cancerous app. On top of that, the food has not let me down yet. (I have never visited the restaurant itself)
The food was not bad. However, one of your male staff members, who was wearing glasses, was constantly coughing, sneezing, and sniffling while walking around and serving other peoples food. This not only lost my appetite but also left my family feeling disgusted. Whats even worse is that when I asked to use the restroom, he told me, The restroom is closed. You cant go in. This was a terrible experience, and I would not consider returning in the future.
They renovated inside. Had a seafood noodle. Smaller one . It was Not bad .
Love that they are 24/7. One of the few places in the city that is open all day. Beef pho is my top choice.
The soap was very delicious and service was excellent
DONT FOLD THE MENUS. I went in today and handed back the menu, only to be returned with YOU MAY NOT FOLD THE MENU. THEY WILL GIVE YOU ATTITUDE IF YOU CREASE POOR LITTLE WITTLE MENU CHANS HEART Over $20 for a plate of rice. Take your business somewhere else. The menu wasnt creased, damaged, scratched, in any way at all. Seriously, waste of time and money. They should write down DONT FOLD THE MENU in bolded letters with a $1,000 fee if you fold it. This place fell off man. Used to be my day one, now the service ruins everything. Seriously? Getting horrible service, order speed, dining environment, food quality, and price all in one? Isnt that great.
The broth is like cooking with spices without bones
Stay away from here. It is dirty and not clean. The plastic glasses were not clean and my daughter drank the water and it made her tummy hurt. Service is bad as we placed our order the the younger Asian guy did not write it down and ask my wife 3 times to confirm the order. We asked for 3 extra bowls to share the food and he told us he only had 2 bowls left. Then we asked another waitress for 3 bowls and she was bringing it and he pushed her away. We then got up and left as this is the most disrespectful dirty place I ve been too. There s lots of Vietnamese restaurants in the area so stay away from here.
Super good
Try to MSG free in the future .
A famous pho restaurant in the Vietnamese community in Vancouver, BC. The quality of the food is good, delicious, especially the green vegetables are abundant and very fresh. Service attitude is very good, staff are polite, courteous, considerate and quite professional. Now the shop has moved to a new owner. To be honest, its disappointing: the service attitude is no longer the same as before, and the way of speaking is not as gentle as before, and the professionalism is less. Theres a lot of food, but its not as delicious and fresh as before. Green vegetables are cut down and many times two bowls of pho only have one stalk of basil, even with wilted leaves. Maybe COVID caused the weakness?
Poor service. Fruit flies all over. Place is over-all DIRTY. Washrooms look like something from the DTES. Somehow the food tastes good. But with everything being so dirty.. Im scared to think about what Im actually eating. Pho Boi was waaay better.
Good basic vegetarian pho. With huge serving Vegetarian options: There are a couple of veggie only options including the pho Food : 5/5 |
Good food and crew.
Visited after many years absence and found they still had the best spring rolls and delicious Pho. The serving size of the house special was enormous. Love this old joint.
food was good I dont approve of places that require a smart phone to view the menu as not everyone has a device for this reason Ill never come back
Good food with reasonable price! My go-to post workout meal
Good
Great Pho broth, i tried their mango salad which was amazing.
Try their house special pho! The best
Asked for no cilantro and they still served my food with cilantro.
So-so
Best Vietnamese food ever!!
The quality and service has deteriorated drastically over the years. First, the servers took our order and brought out a large bowl of pho when I ordered medium. Nonetheless, she did not apologize for her mistake and did not offer to adjust the size. Second, when the bowl of pho came, (I ordered beef brisket and beef ball soup) the brisket was tough, attached with thick layer of fat, and chewy. The beef ball was chewy and bland. The soup was salty and the noodle was too overcooked. In addition, they raised the price to $15-$16. I would not be coming back in the near future.
The pho is mediocre but the rice and vermicelli plates are bomb
Used to be so much better.. perhaps they switched management/ownership or something? The broth is nowhere near as good as last year, and prices are wayyy higher. The staff are really nice though, and service was pretty good.
Decent pho, I like the flavourful salty broth. The noodle and meat quality is just ok. Not a fan of the spring rolls. Cool little 24h spot
I was at the restaurant in the early morning, so it was almost completely empty. Service was okay, fairly hands off and typical of pho restaurants. The soup and the meat were fine but theentire experience was ruined by the rice noodles. They were overcooked, gummy, and clumped together before falling apart. I advised staff of this issue and asked for a fresh bowl of rice noodles (noodles only, no soup or meat). They were reluctant but did bring me fresh noodles after I showed them the noodles I had. Unfortunately, the fresh bowl was exactly the same. If I had to guess, I would say that the entire batch was cooked (and overcooked) together. I was really craving pho so it was very disappointingly unsatisfying to basically leave all the noodles. Overall, I would say that if nothing else was open, I *might* try this place again since it is one of the few 24/7 places left, but would not be inclined to go back anytime soon. Classic, and comforting bowl of Vietnamese pho in Pho capital of North America!! Definitely good value for your This joint is a locals favorite as their service is fast and quality is always reliable. They recently renovated the space which made the place more comfortable to dine in. Today we were here for lunch with coupe kiddos. We ordered 2 bowls of noodles and a rice dish. There was so much food we had to pack an entire dish home! We enjoyed everything we ordered.
I go there for breakfast at 4am before my day shifts. Food and the staff there are great . I highly recommend the house special pho
Best lemongrass chicken Ive ever had! My favourite Viet restau was closed on Doordash one day and tried to find another one and damn... my favourite Viet restau has been replaced ever since LOL Portion is very good as well. 1 order is almost good for 2 people because it comes with 3 slices of chicken.
best local Pho restaurant in Burnaby
First time trying Pho Hong and I am very satisfied with the food and portion sizes. I used to go to Pho Chan for years but now they are very small portions and too expensive for what you get. Not Pho Hong! Plenty of meat and noodles. The broth was so flavourful and the spring rolls crispy and delicious. Next time I will get an extra broth because there is so much noodles and meat. And open 24 hours! Very pleased and happy to tell my friends to go here and continue to go here when I get my pho craving! Thank you for your great service.
Been coming here for years and always been a good local spot
That was the best Banh Mi I ever had. I highly recommend the pork Banh Mi. The meat is high quality, sliced thin, thoroughly sauced and cooked perfectly. They also add a lot. The veggies and bread all tasted great and fresh too. And the price is very good. What more can I say? Perfect Banh Mi
