5901 Broadway #1, Burnaby, BC V5B 2Y1, Canada
Small, family-owned Vietnamese restaurant with a small but very flavourful menu.
Randomly found this place. Loved the food. So flavourful and done right 👍🏻. Would definitely go back.
I went to White Lotus under the recommendation of a friend. Restaurant was decently clean for an asian establishment but cramped with inventory stashed everywhere. Staff was average as expected. As I was running short on time, I decided to grab takeout. An iced coffee, banh mi and a spring roll/pork vermicelli. I ended up waiting over 20 minutes for a simple order. On the drive home, I tried the iced coffee and it tasted like water. The banh mi flavour was ok but the bread was hard and a little stale. The vermicelli was by far the worse. It literally looked like someone’s doggy bag leftovers. For a $16 vermicelli, even post covid, I feel is unacceptable. Needless to say, I do not recommend at all.
Their Bun Bo Hue - Spicy Beef Noodle Soup is very good and authentic taste. The staffs were very nice and friendly. I will come more often to try other foods 👍
Recommended by friend. My son had satay pho with rare beef. I had the appie platter. Was very good, didn't try pork pattie on plate but son said tasty & good sear on it. He liked his pho too. Will be back
I didn't hear much good things from this restaurant but wanted to try myself. I ordered the Bo Ne which is like a Vietnamese breakfast on a hot plate. I liked most of the components when eaten with the fresh French bread. My SO ordered the lemongrass chicken and porkchop on rice. Chicken was deep fried but had no flavor. The porkchop was better ...cuz I could taste the lemongrass. Spring rolls were also OK.
Such good Vietnamese food! The staff were so kind. The food was very flavourful. I got take out and the presentation was still on par. I could not get enough of the food, seriously so delicious. I recommend White Lotus Cafe for your next dinner spot.
Try the Beef Stew, it's rich and flavourful... I recommend getting a baguette with it to dip (the baguette has a crunchy exterior, but not so crunchy that it cuts the inside of your mouth, and the inside is super fluffy and moist.... One of the best baguettes I've ever had at a Vietnamese Restaurant... I'm sure the Banh Mi are amazing here). Decent prices, great food, fair portion sizes. Highly recommend as a regular go-to spot for lunch. I do wish they offered the Vietnamese Spring Rolls (made using rice paper wraps and deep fried), but I understand that takes a lot of time and effort.
I really really enjoyed this place. Their food is great and pricing is also very reasonable. They have the Vietnamese breakfast platter similar to lunch lady but in my opinion has much more variety and authentic ingredients. The service is great and they had so many dishes that were brought me nostalgia of my grandmothers home cooked meals. Their bread is really fluffy and soft although the outside was a bit hard and sensed it wasn’t made that day. Breakfast platter and rice plates are the way to go.
Family run restaurant with friendly staff Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available for children 12 and under Food : 4/5 |
Nothing special and only acceptable pho
The food was great, but the chopsticks seemed old and overused. There are reports linking reused wooden chopsticks to cancer, which is a growing concern. I hope they switch to new or disposable ones.
Cheap and tasty!
If you are a shrimp lover do NOT order the sugar shrimp. There is no shrimp in these fish balls on a stick. It s a mish mash of who knows what rolled into a ball and poked with a stick. And my wife ordered the tofu rice and vegetables which came with some faux ham . Why???
Their ph is really yummy and I love that they bring out phin filter when you order drip coffee.
Great place for PHO. Very tasty
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant since its early days, but I doubt I will be returning. The quality of the food has steadily declined over time, and during my recent visit, the service provided by a server reinforced my decision not to return. The owners service remains excellent.
Love the meatball banh mi! There are lots of vietnamese restaurants in Burnaby, but I particularly enjoy the meatball banh mi (which you ahould definitely try if you havent already) and the bun bo hue here. The service is always on point.
Excellent food.
Delicious and super well priced! Will be going back!
One of my favorite places for lunch. I love the lemongrass chicken on rice!
Amazing Food and Service
So far, this is the best special pho place I ve found. Every time I eat here, I leave feeling very satisfied. Their subs are also incredibly delicious. The owner and his wife are such hardworking people, and their dedication really shows in the quality of the food and service. They are honest and diligent, which is rare to find these days. The service is always excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that tips start at 8%! In a high-cost city like Vancouver, that s almost unheard of. Highly recommended! Keep up! Feli plumbing and heating ltd.
Not like typical pho chain. Very delicious and authentic Vietnamese food.
Great food, nice price!
I have been going to this place many years and recent renovation looks nice. Last time i got pho and was good and tasty. What i didnt like and reason i wont be coming there anytime soon is mainly because of chop sticks, forks and spoon turned upside so everybody is touching chopstick or spoon exactly where you take your food with and out into your mozth. Most restaurants have it either one time use or they will bring it to you - cleaned. When i see restaurants like this, it makes me to leave right away. I s just basic hygiene seing somebody coming from outside and touching all chopsticks is disgusting. For that reason im leaving 3 stars, otherwise i will leave 5.
This place has made me happy many times :). The banh mis are great! Food
I called on the phone and asked them to wrap my bahn MI since I buy it for lunch for me and my girl. They did it even tho it was rush hour, I feel like I didnt tip enough so heres a 5 star review. Whoever the lady was who was working on Wednesday you are a hero and also thank you very much.
I love this little gem. The food was literally so good. I also loved the service in that they took our order and brought our food and didnt hover over us at all. It was perfect. I saw people getting coffees to go and its so cute. The people working care so much about the food quality, its obvious.
Tiny little cafe with rock solid food. Had the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and spring rolls - fantastic! They sell their chilli oil in jars, too. Absolutely worth the visit.
Top 2 places Ive ever had for pho!
Amazing!. Friendly. Clean. Good atmosphere. Kids options. Bo Kho beef stew is out of this world!
Used to be good. But the menu has been changed recently and the food is not with the same quality. The beef soup is good but the meat is horrible. Food
Best Bun Bo Hue Ive had in Vancouver or Victoria. The broth was flavourful and just the right amount of spicy. Good amount of meat and nice chewy noodles. Would eat here again for sure.
Food is tasty, especially the veggie options. Once your meal is served it can be hard to get service (eg. if you want napkins/more water) but overall a good lunch spot.
You can find meat products in your veggie sandwich. But they convince you, that this is a peace of meat made from plants. It s just smells and tastes like a meat. Even if you believe them you still keep things why do you need something that smells and taste like a meat in your VEGGIIE sandwich!
Very nice place and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the Bun Bo Hue. Bo Kho was good also. The service couldve been better but understandably they were busy. Very clean and comfortable.
Good services, tasty, relatively cheap in the area. A lot of parking
BBQ pork banh mi tastes good but is extremely spicy
Ordered takeout. 3 different bah mis. They were delicious. Highly recommend. Spring rolls were best I ve ever had. Can t wait to try the pho next time.
Food is so good. We had iced coffee, pho, wonton soup and banh mi and all were awesome.
Great little Vietnamese place! Would come back again
Its a good neighborhood spot for Vietnamese food. The portions are a good size and tastes home cooked. I find the soup broths to be a little more greasy than many places Ive been to in Vancouver and Burnaby. Just a personal preference. I live in the area and this is a regular spot for us.
Amazing! We had plate of rice with meats which were all on point, esp moms secret chicken is to die for! BBQ beef Banh Mie & spring rolls is scrumptious to perfection. & their homemade hot sauce was way too tasty not to buy and bring home. Hotness but still with flavour. Don t forget to try the ice cold sugarcane drink. Will definitely be back more often, as gives me the family homely feel along with various selection of my favourite Vietnamese comfort foods. I ll save pho for my next round back soon! The owners make u feel so welcome to not want to leave. I shall return! - MacArthur. And was too late to take pix as it was all in my stomach by then. Thank you WLC! Prices are all worthy and very fairly priced! Parking: I love the/their front door style of parking! Best bro best! Kid-friendliness: Great music and sound/lighting system lol Wheelchair accessibility: On first floor so easily accessible.
Food is really good and i am not saying this because I was hungry going in each time Ive been. Bathrooms are clean and modern. There is ample parking and its in an accessible location. Well done!
Service is terrible and slow. Not a good spot for pickup.
I have never dined here but when we have done take-out here, the food and service have always been good. Its conveniently located in a strip mall so parking isnt difficult and you can also go shopping for other things in the strip mall. I have no hesitation in recommending this place.
The food was okay everything, however, I requested to the server if they could charge up my phone in the back, I even asked if they got an iPhone charger if not I can give them mine they can just plug it in. Buddy said he got the charger so i trusted him. At the end when we paid, I received my phone back with 0% battery still. Great, now I can continue on my day with a dead phone
Delicious every time
Best banh mi
Soooo Goood!
Vietnamese Sizzling Steak and Eggs (Bò Né) was delicious. You can have it with white rice or freshly toasted vietnamese baguette. It had a few meatballs (Xiu mia). Ohh and the pate was amazing! I got ordered extra. Really goes well with the bread. 9/10 Service was quick and accommodating. My mom cooks a lot of vietnamese food (Banh Xeo, Pho, Bun Bo Hue etc) really well so I dont go to Vietnamese restaurants often. This place is really good and I would go again. 10/10. Got free soup and some chili upon request. My girlfriend and her friend was with me and they really enjoy this place. Its saying a lot as my girlfriend is really picky. Theyre both from Vietnam too, so this place is pretty authentic. Would totally recommend, Bò Né as it is unique over the common Pho or Banh Mi restaurants around Vancouver! Parking: Big parking lot as its next to a grocery store.
Beef pho with processed meat.
my absolute favourite pho place ever! the flavours are immaculate and amazing 1000/10
Server spilled our food all over the table and proceeded to pick up the food back onto the plate in front of us. She did not bother to offer the food to be remade, or any sort of remedy. The experience was like being told to eat food off the floor. Imagine if she spilled your PHO all over the table and started scooping it back onto the bowl then pretended like nothing happened.
We came here for the first time but wont be back. The black shirt lady ignored us unhappily when we asked her something even though she heard that. We ended up not giving any tip for that!
Good pho
Had the spicy pho. It was alright, a bowl of standard pho.
I ordered by the phone and specifically said lemon grass chicken which the lady on the phone agreed. It was for pick up order and when i got home to eat, i just found out that it was a plane fride chicken. Taste nothing at all! I called back to let her know that they might have made a mistake but insisted that it was lemon grass. My experience here was just a disappointment. Maybe theyll lie to you just to make sale. Anyway, not gonna order here again. Thanks but no thanks. I even gave a tip even though i dont really need to. Tsk!
Glad I tried the Bo Ne.
Were regulars here, it helps that the food is consistently great!!!
Loved the vegetarian pho. Definitely going to go back again. Vegetarian options: Very good vegetarian pho
The BBQ pork banh mi is out of this world. 5 forks
No complaints for this place.
Nice bright dining room, quick and friendly service. Most importantly, delicious food that is made with love. Menu is small but everything is very well-done. Highly recommend their vermicelli bowl that you can choose 2 kinds of meat ( their meat patties are to die for), Special Pho and Banh Mi. My dining partner is a fan of their Bun Bo Hue which has a little kick for those who like spices. Definitely a gem in this neighbourhood!
Great place for a quick lunch. The food is excellent. Very fresh! The dining room is recently expanded, and there is ample seating. Food : 5/5
Get the soups so good will be back
amazing food and staff!
Nice little restaurant tucked away in a residential area. Definitely worth visiting for quality pho. Have to get vanilla coffee too!
Delicious and fresh flavours, love this place!
Bah Minh and pho are great!
Food is delicious and the people are delightful
Really delicious. Fresh. Smells so good.
A solid choice for authentic Vietnamese dishes and Banh Mi. I m not sure what goes on here at night but they ve got speakers and lights set up for a serious party must be some good karaoke. Recommended dishes House Special Pho
Simple menu. Excellent food. Good prices. Very good service. Will be back.
I have been a regular this this resto for a while. My go to dish is Bún bò hu (spicy beef noodles). Today we just tried the platter as well. It was yummy and affordable. The customer service has always been great. Highly recommended.
This is a great dinner idea place. Small shop, but really great food. Take out or sit in. Your choice.
enjoyed spring rolls, personal opinion that banh mi needs more veggies

Here is the menu
A humble Vietnamese restaurant, small, delicious, clean and hygienic, with a lot of customers!
Efficient service, phenomenal food, a hidden gem worth every penny.
The White Lotus Cafe has truly left an indelible mark on my dining experience! From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that set the tone for an extraordinary culinary journey. The interior of the cafe is an aesthetic blend of modern elegance and rustic charm, with tasteful décor that exudes a sense of serenity. The ample natural light streaming through the large windows added to the overall calming ambiance, making it an ideal spot for both casual gatherings and quiet solitude. The menu offered a diverse selection of dishes that catered to various dietary preferences, from delectable vegan delights to hearty non-vegetarian options. For starters, I couldnt resist trying their famous Avocado Bruschetta, which was a delightful fusion of creamy avocado, tangy tomatoes, and perfectly toasted bread. As a seafood enthusiast, I opted for their Pan-Seared Salmon, and it was a mouthwatering revelation. The salmon was impeccably cooked, retaining its tenderness and complemented by a flavorful sauce that elevated the dish to new heights. The highlight of my dining experience was undoubtedly the dessert. The Lotus Flower Cheesecake was a divine treat that tickled my taste buds with its velvety texture and unique blend of delicate flavors. It was a perfect conclusion to an already delightful meal. The service at White Lotus Cafe deserves special commendation. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to cater to any special requests or dietary restrictions. Their passion for food and hospitality shone through, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Delicious - great food, great value, fast service, friendly staff. NEM banh mi is my go to. Food : 5/5
Good food, always consistent taste
I come here often when I m craving some good Vietnamese dishes and this place does not disappoint. The white lotus platter is definitely worth it. The food is delicious and the portions are very fair as well as the prices. You get quality food at this place and I ll always come back. I d recommend getting the platter and the pho here, it is done properly and tastes great. The staff are courteous and friendly and the place is very welcoming. Parking: Free parking
We ordered a couple of their chicken bánh mì sandwiches. They were so flavoured us and boring that I had to comment. Kind of tasted like a rotisserie chicken that had just been pulled without any sauce added.
August 29 2023- [update]- we continue to be a community support of this amazing vietnamese quisine. We come so often that leaving a review might seem redundant. However, google has encouraged its reviewers to add updates. Moving forward, this place has continued to provide excellent food and service. Their spring rolls are exquisite along with their vermicelli. The taste and price beats most places we have been in Vancouver. Thank you for serving Burnaby. There have been a few forgotten items that we have had to drive back and get, but other than that, this place is worth it. They always treat the customer right at the end of the day and we appreciate you. Best Pho in the neighborhood. All food is amazing to be honest. Fast efficient service. The to-go bowls are really cool, innovative idea. This place takes safety to the next level to protect the public from transmission of COVID-19. Loyal and returning customer since they opened shop. Vegetarian options: Let them know about your restrictions and they will accommodate. Parking: Unlimited parking Kid-friendliness: They love kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it is.
Our go-to place for Vietnamese food - a neighborhood gem! We have tried several things and all were great! Staff is also friendly, providing great service!
Great food!
The flavour of the PHO was delicious but the meat was filled with tendons and we didn t eat any of the meat. Friendly staff, unfortunately won t be eating there again
noodles in the soup werent my favorite Although I very much enjoyed the broth and toppings. Everything else was great. Highly recommend the Spring rolls and salad rolls.
You have to try one of their Banh Mi. Theyre so good! I get the chicken one and the bread is so crunchy and soft inside. So flavourful and they are reasonably priced for sure. Beef stew was great and the spring roll are also yummy. I had a meal there and craved it again the very next night. Dont miss out. Easy parking easy access for take out and dine in.
Love this place. My favorite vegetarian pho and vegetarian lemon grass chicken plate. Everything is just delicious Vegetarian options: The vegetarian pho is my favorite with so many different assortment of fake ham, crab tofu etc etc. Just so good.
Located in a small strip mall in Broadway. The food is very good and in generous portions. Food
Came here for lunch and it was a very nice and clean Vietnamese restaurant!
The food here is great, highly recommend the lemon grass chicken. I was also stoked they had young coconuts in the summer. Honestly, the only downside is that they close for every holiday but I guess understandable for the area.
Very friendly staff and amazing food. Recommend the platter. Food
Been there a couple times now. It is a compact menu but everything so far has been top notch. Rolls are great, Pho is great, Beef stew is, you guessed it, great. Havent tried the Banh Mi but it looks pretty good too. If you are in the are give it a go. Updated: Been a minute, but let me tell you, everything is still, you know it, great.
Loved the salad roll and especially the doing sauce it came with!
Have yet to eat inside the restaurant but the whole family loves the spicy beef & pork soup. Great quality and delicious.
Family run Vietnamese restaurant. Delicious and great service! I will say they get quite busy around lunch time so either do take-out or expect a bit of a wait as the place is on the smaller side. Free parking in the little plaza as well, which is a huge bonus :)
I cant describe how disappointed I was in the banh mi I got. The bread was crisp but gummy, there was barely had any filling inside. To top it off there was a HAIR in my sandwich. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I will not be back to try anything else. I wanted to like this place and was looking forward to it but I cant deal with hair in food. Parking: Easy parking in strip mall
Delicious and great value
Great pho ga and speedy service! I would definitely go back.
Just what you expect out of a 4 star experience. Good food and good service. We will be back!
two words: small portions. two more words: high prices. draw your own conclusion. you get two small dollops of hoisin sauce and sriracha in a small tray. must be diet season.
Normally I get the banh mi, but decided to grab veggie and seafood pho take out and was very disappointed. I tried many pho places and this place was far the worst pho I ve ever had. The seafood pho contained mostly fish balls (other pho restaurants have a variety of squid, shrimp, fishcake, fresh veggies) and the noodle and soup tasted like bleach I had to throw it out after two bites. My partner had the veggie pho and it mostly had mocked meat and fried tofu shells in it. I was a regular for the banh mis but with my experience with the pho, I will not come back.
It s INCREDIBLY expensive (15$ without tip for a small bowl). It s the smallest portion I ve received from any pho place and the most expensive. The noodles are mush. Complete mush. It s like . Baby food mush. Absolutely terrible. If this is quality ingredients like the reply they sent me, DEFINITELY DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Unless you like mush quality ingredients. Not only do they lie but they are terrible at customer service. Maybe they should just shut down instead of serving bad food at high prices. Would not recommend to anybody!!!! Also, I agree with the person who said they pay for good reviews. Because anybody reviewing this nasty food as good, or above two stars is off their rocker. Ps- my day was literally fine until I got scammed by this garbage food from this garbage restaurant. Will never order from here again and will refer anybody away from this garbage dump from now on.
Great friendly service and tasty quality food. Ask, as I did, and you shall receive for extra whatever you want. Impressed
Really great pho here!
Fantastic food! The spring rolls are a top notch take on a classic and the spicy beef and pork pho is deeply satisfying.
Update: when this place first opened, they had good quality ingredients for a reasonable price. 3+ years later, theyve increased their prices while reducing the quality. They added a sour seafood pho noodle soup recently that is just cheap frozen fish balls and soup doesnt remotely taste like seafood. Really disappointing. Little neighborhood Vietnamese place with limited seating but plenty of parking on the mall. The meatball bahn mi is very good as is their beef stew. Now I dont have to drive too Vancouver to Au Petit to get my beef stew and bahn mi fix.
Grabbed a Vietnamese Iced Coffee (cà phê á) to-go during lunchtime from this casual, laidback and cozy minimalist vietnamese joint. I totally dig this place, the natural wooden aesthetics and minimalistic design with a clean, fresh and vibrant menu with great perks such as providing paper straw. Great ethics, this joint is right up my street. Unfortunately the Iced Coffee wasnt great.. weak, very rushed and not authentic tasting nor any raw and bitter rich coffee vibe, unfortunately probably the worst I have had. In hindsight, a drink that traditionally takes time and TLC should be done different for takeout, but Im more than happy to wait. Im stoked to come back and try their super yummy looking veggie options as they look dope, Im hoping that this will be a lot different from my beverage experience. All in all, Im mixed as I think the grub is going to be a much better experience. Support local businesses!
This restaurant is close to home so I have been coming here for both takeout and dine in more recently. This place serves sugarcane shrimp which is something I ve been looking for in the Vancouver area and could not find for a long time. My favourite is the white lotus platter. Otherwise all the other dishes were pretty good too. The lemon grass chicken was nice and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.
not that great.
Little hidden gem in the same plaza as the Buy Low Foods. Restaurant seating limited so come during off hours or there may be a wait. Simple menu with the usuals, which is a nice change vs the extensive menu found at some other pho restaurants. Clean, brightly lit interior. Food: Ordered the spring rolls. These were with the Chinese wrap paper and not the thicker variety. It was still crunchy and tasty. Bun Bo Hue - comes in mild, medium or hot. My company opted for hot and commented it not being as spicy as other BBH s. House special - nice blend of different meats (tripe, tendon, rare steak, flank, beef balls). Soup was flavorful without tasting msg d. The noodles had a very slight sweetness to it which was different and appreciated. Service: like your standard pho place, flag for service nothing special and is expected. Overall, glad it s in the neighborhood, nice place to go for pho vs some of the other places that crowd the Brentwood area.
Update June 2021 Seriously the best Phó in the lower mainland - the broth is perfect, not to salty just perfection. The new renovation looks amazing and seats many more groups. Definitely a must go to destination! Great food - subs are delicious with fresh crusty bread rolls, Ph is delicious not too salty - just perfect only downside is the limited seating space. Update 2022 Still consistently perfect Phó and I still think this place is the best Ive ever been too - pure magic! I love you guys
Ive been visiting fairly consistently over the last year or two. Its a great family run business worth supporting. Its my go-to place for pho and banh mi. The pho is great. Extremely good broth. Generous portions - Im not sure why other reviews say the portions are small. I can barely finish the bowl. The barbecue pork banh mis just as good. Always tasty.
Delicious food! Im trying everything there, and until now all food I ordered was really tasty! The staff are also very kind! The only less positive point is the size, they have only few tables, depending the time you go, you need to wait...
Delicious taste and cooked to perfect
First time coming here and I have to say it was pretty good. The spacing between seats was nice. It didnt feel crowded at all. I could hear my friend who was sitting across from me the entire time. Not a very extensive menu but the food was good and their coffee was nice too
Their delicious pho noodles are BACK!!! I just removed the review I wrote few weeks ago complaining about the texture of the noodles. Theyre now able to get the top quality noodles from their supplier and their pho tastes better than ever. Thanks for listening to your customer, White Lotus Cafe!
Had dined here a few times prior to their renovation.. but food quality had gone downhill. Just bought lemon grass chicken and it was soo dry and bland, chicken was not even cut so made eating it at a park not easy.. I am so disappointed. Responding to owners comment below: Apparently ordering off menu will get you a dry food and full price. Didnt know that was the fine print. Just the response given by the owner should be enough to indicate the lack of professionalism from this business. Reviews are meant to give feedback so IMPROVEMENTS can be made but according to this restaurant, they only want good reviews regardless of their mistakes.
Really enjoyed the pho, such a flavourful broth. The meat platter was also super delicious. My husband didnt like the lemongrass chicken, said it was quite bland. Quite big portions for the price, great value overall. Will order again.
The place is cozy and the food is excellent. Staff was friendly and very welcoming, great place that many might not know about! Supporting small business... thank you Tommy!
Was not expecting excellent Vietnamese food on Broadway and Holdom in Burnaby. Simple menu, excellent food. Very reasonable prices. Also very clean and modern compared to your typical Vietnamese restaurants. Perfect spot for a quick meal.
Got two banh mi. Both were bomb dot com. Got an ice coffee it was disgusting watered down not dark or thick or anything it tasted like dirty water. Would not come back for the coffee ever again but would definately come back for the sandwiches alone. Maybe try out their rice or noodles bowls
oh my god, this is my go to pho shop whenever I visit the area. I live in LA so I have lots of pho restaurants around so I know what good pho is and this place has it. The owner is super super friendly. Expect great food and great service. Also dont sleep on their chili oil!
It is delicious and very good service
Very good
Take-out bahn mi. Best we have had in Vancouver so far. Fresh, flavourful and packed full of ingredients. Update May 2022 Bahn mi wasnt as usual. Less ingredients and cold.
Always a pleasure dining here. Tommy is such a happy and cheerful owner, and is always so welcoming. The food is amazing, and their banh mi s are to die for.
Place was a bit small but offers good food. Was just surprised to discover that they fry (or bake, maybe?) their lemongrass chicken and pork instead of grill
Google business was not updated , they are closed ..
Deep fried food ! Bad service
I come here 2-3 times a week and I m starting to think they remember me. Friendly people & fantastic food. Best pho in Burnaby, maybe even the lower mainland. Takeout containers super convenient and good dine-in experience.
Incredibly tasty bahn mi. I got the pork with extra meat and it was perfect
Helpful staff fast good quality food. At a price that can t be beat. I will be back
Amazing customer service! Definitely my go to place for salad rolls and iced coffee
This place is great! The people are friendly and they make the best Banh Mi subs. The owner even has Banh Mi on his license plate - that s how serious they are about their food. Lots of parking, reasonably priced, clean, quick and the food is fantastic!
Ordered take out. Very disappointed at the quality and quantity for the price you pay. I really do not recommend coming here. For a $15 bowl of pho I got one tendon and one beef tripe. It did not come with bean sprouts, basil, lime or hoisin or hot sauce. The port in the rice order has a triangle piece cut from it. It looks like half of it is missing. The soup when poured into the noodles turned milky, disgusting!
We have been a fan of this place for few years and even tried to support them as much as possible during covid and before they closed for renovation. Our favourite was always the beef and carrot stew. But our last two delivery from this place were very bad! The meat portion was much smaller ( We had ordered extra meat and it was still less than previous portions) and beef was really cheap quality fatty pieces. This is sad and disappointing.
Tried the Bun Bo Hue, and was pretty excited about the meal. Thought it was great value for $15. I loved that I could taste the Vietnamese Coriander/Laksa Leaf here, and the Vietnamese ham + meatballs were quite nice as well. Good ratio of noodles:soup:ingredients. Got the spicy option, and it offered a great heat. Would come here again! BTW they also take AMEX here.
Chicken Banh MI ingredients all fresh and tasty.
My friend told me about this place and so glad to find it. Hidden in a plaza up the side of a hill you wouldnt know it was there while driving by.
I didnt like the texture of their noodles but the soup and meat is not bad. The chopsticks seems very old and dirty. also u guys should display your hot sauce on the the table.
I love lemongrass chicken and have had it at a lot place in Greater Vancouver. I ordered the same here. Hands down this place serves the least flavourful lemongrass chicken in town in my experience. It was with bone, deep fried, very dry and had no lemongrass flavour at all. Not worth $17 at all. 2 stars for keeping it ready in time and proper take away box with cutlery and napkin.
The food was all really good and at a decent price.
3 years ago. Flavour town!!! The first spicy Pho to make my eyes water. Ban Mi is amazing!! I ll be back. What happened during COVID!?!?!? Com Ba Màu - Deluxe Rice Plate Lemongrass chicken, lemongrass pork chop, meat patty, broken rice, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions. Side of pork broth .. NOT AS ADVERTISED!!! DEEP FRIED FUNKY TASTING CHICKEN, NOT A BEEF PATTY BUT TWO LITTLE PINKY SIZE MYSTERY MEAT AND A PORK PATTY THAT WAS POUNDED THE LIFE OUT OF IT. Yes I am a keyboard warrior and I m not yelling.
Hands down the best Pho in Burnaby!
The spicy soup noodles was one of the best.
My favorite pho. Great flavor and large portion. A hidden gem worth the drive to check out.
Very tasty pho, small location but worth waiting for a seat
The pho and banh mi at this place are both excellent.
I absolutely love eating here! The food quality and prices are amazing. Friendly staff & professional service. Would recommend. 10/10. Thank you.
Food tasty but people so busy on their phones I had to get up because they ignored me for 5 minutes....portions really tiny too, not worth the price...
We ordered the bun bo hue- spicy beef noodle. The food is good and quite authentic for the Bun Bo Hu . However, I was expecting the pork hock to be the normal boned in pork hock and not the sliced pork meat. Overall its still one of the best BBH In town.
Great find in North Burnaby! Clean dinning room and kitchen. Definitely a must try! Parking: Tons of parking
This food is the best, everything is delicious. I tell everyone I know to eat here, but I warn them that the staff is a little unfriendly.
Great food and great service.
First time here. Food was really good! Service was perfect. Will definitely be back.
Always a great time and excellent and friendly staff. The BBH the go to soup!
Very satisfying food and vibe
My favourite pho place! Their servings are huge and I usually split one bowl with someone else (and if were hungry, we get the extra noodles). I also love their lime soda but I dont get it too often since it costs $5 now. The prices have been going up ever since COVID but its understandable since everything is getting more expensive. I have yet to eat in the restaurant since I always do takeout but the newly renovated dining area looks great. Service is always fantastic. Ive always wanted to try some of their non-pho dishes but the pho is too good so I keep ordering it...
Great food, good prices. Really enjoyed the vermicelli. Good service too! Love the ice tea. Their test dishes are always a blast to explore.
Good service, good food, good prices, highly recommend.
Just loved it. I had the BBH, my wife a ba mih sandwich and my son the beef stew. Amazing.
good service delicious food
Probably the coolest/best take out containers I ve seen for Pho (don t @ me plastic haters). It s actually feasible to eat in a car that way. Flavours are good.
Definitely my favorite pho restaurant that I have been to in the lower mainland!
White lotus is phenomenal!! Awesome owner who cares about his customers. Love it!
I appreciate the friendly quick customer service and the clean, modern interior that adds a warm welcome for dine-in. They serve generous (and delicious!) portions and decent coffee. This is totally my new go-to pho spot.
Best local joint. A hidden gem
Good everytime!! The sour seafood pho needs to be a staple on the menu
Food was delicious. Staff very friendly. Thanks, guys!
Must try! Grew up eating home cooked vietnamese food and have tried many locations in the lower mainland. White Lotus has excellent quality rice and vermicelli dishes. Pho is not oily, I would say its a healthier, tastier option in Burnaby.
Ordered the spicy beef pho, beef stew and sour seafood pho.
Kind of disappointed to be honest... Not sure if its due to ordering take out via ubereats but was surprised that pho apparently doesnt come with the normal bean sprouts and basil? The bun bo hue also seemed low on cilantro too for some reason. The taste is fine but overall the portion size for $15 is a hard swallow compared to the other competition.
Great tasting food. Bad service. Few bad things that happened: table service is non existent here. They forgot one dish I ordered, so I cancelled it at the end. Had to go to the front desk to pay and get a take out box cause all the staff just stayed in the kitchen. My guess is they dont have any waiting staff here. In the middle of eating, one kitchen staff took a break in the dining area, which was totally fine. But she then made a loud video call on speaker for 15m. Very unprofessional. My recommendation is to get a take out and NEVER eat-in in this restaurant.
Ordered the lemon grass chicken banh mi and the meat was boiled shredded chicken. I guess they ran out of lemon grass chicken?
Banh mi is amazing. Good service and atmosphere as well.
This place used to be decent, but since their recent expansion, the prices have gone up and the portion sizes have gone down which is disappointing to see. The vermicelli bowl had 7 small bits of pork thrown and scattered on a handful of noodles with a small patch of lettuce on the bottom; looked like a 10 year old made it. If I had opened the takeout box to look at it before getting home, I would have taken it back. They also dont use real vermicelli noodles either which is odd. Wouldnt recommend going here considering the other options nearby in Brentwood.
Food was delicious and reasonable price. It s a Vietnamese restaurant in Burnaby.
Recently expanded in size, the broth has a phenomenal taste. The service is great and the atmosphere is nice as well. Prices are reasonable. My local go to for Pho.
