Spirit Tree Estate Cidery is a small, community-focused farm market in Caledon. Our environmentally-friendly property was a lifelong dream, designed and built with sustainability and practicality in mind. We are surrounded by our apple orchards, warmed by the fire in our wood-burning oven, and excited by the possibilities that hand-crafted, artisanal cider, decadent baked goods & fine food products will bring to our local friends and foodies alike.
Went to see the Cheltenham Badlands and decided to swing by this place for lunch. Sat outside since indoor was fully reserved. Waited awhile for someone to come outside to take our order (didn’t even get water at this point) but nobody came out so I took the menu to find someone and was greeted by a not so nice server who sounded very impatient and flustered. Ordered an advertised thin crust wood oven pizza from the menu. Pizza came quick within 15 minutes but was disappointed by the quality of it — flavours were bland, sausage was very dry and tough but the cider was not bad. Would not revisit again.
We order the Cider house blues pizza after seeing a photo and reading the description on Instagram. We were told they would bring it out to us. We waited 40 mins then went in to see if it was ready. It was boxed just sitting on the counter waiting for us. We brought it back to the table and opened the box to find it not quite looking like the photo or description. Instead of roasted potatoes it had Im assuming leftover French fries on it. Tomatoe sauce which should not be on a pizza with apples and blue cheese (am I right?) I was really disappointed and went back in to ask the pizza man if it always has tomatoe sauce on it and was told he could make me one without. I told him it was too late I already had it. Barely edible. Emailed them with no response so now sharing my feedback here.
The wood oven pizza is a must here. Their cider selections are great, too. You get 3 or 5 tasting options.
Cider flight was good. Pizza was ok, but waited over an hour to receive it on Saturday around 11:30 am. Would go back for the ciders and baked goods but probably not for any of the kitchen menu items.
I've been to this place many times, but this time I had the pleasure of trying some truly unique dishes, starting with the tempura-fried maple leaves—crispy, light, and absolutely delicious! The bravas potatoes with their house-made sauce were incredible, though unfortunately, the sauce isn’t available for purchase at the store (I wish it was!). Their stone oven pizza was perfectly baked and bursting with flavor. To top it off, the apple cider was refreshing and delicious. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with standout flavors! Their new additions to the menu are fantastic
Went for the tasting tour and it was great to learn about the owners and their ingenuity from constructing the building to how they run the orchard. The ciders we tasted were good and they had the option of doing non-alcoholic ciders for the tasting tour as well. It was a well done tour and shoutout to Ruth for the wonderful session as well as the suggestions for the ciders. They have great tasting food as well and I liked their food more than the ciders. Their Sangria cider was the best tasting for me and I'd definitely recommend that! Their pizzas are delicious as well as the burgers. We also tried their mussels and those were pretty good too! There is ample parking at the site and it is just a few mins from the badlands if you are looking to do something quick before or after the tour. Would definitely recommend visiting here!
Nice place with tent tables, but it’s not very clear why they have 2 menus - for restaurant (that are outside as well) and for bistro. So, you can sit outside and have either short menu list or a longer one. I was confused when I wanted a dish from the restaurant menu, and they told me that outside I could have only options from the bistro menu. However, waiters showed us where we can sit outside and have a full menu (aren’t the same outside tables). This is something that can be improved for sure.
We came today for a bite to eat with our toddler. I don’t know how two slices of focaccia, two drinks, cookie , and bun cost $37??? Little much I think. It was very busy and they definitely need more umbrellas outside due to lack of shade to sit at tables. We used to go a lot pre covid , not sure if we will return again due to the excessive prices.
The dinning area is very nice but the sound level is very loud.
Suuuper cute spot. Live music outside, delicious food and was very family friendly!
Quaint Cidery near Belfountain! Beautiful in the Fall! Stopped in briefly! Will definitely go back for full experience! Service : 5/5
Brownies are Gluten Free here. Cider is delicious. Staff are great.
Popular location. Enjoyed the oven pizza. Parking: Popular location, so parking can be tricky at times though they do have reasonably sized parking areas available. Food : 5/5 Recommended dishes
This is a very cute and cozy place. Must visit. I love the apple cider and margherta pizza
A little piece of heaven in the middle of the rolling hills of Caledon! Delicious pizza and the best hot Apple cider
Hidden Gem. A must visit for those seeking an amazing experience and some perfectly crafted dishes. Food
A beautiful time with my boys and husband. No amount of money can dictate great atmosphere, family and good food!!
We recently had lunch in the Spirit Tree Bistro. We liked the pizza that we ordered but did not enjoy how loud it was in the Bistro. Its understandable that patrons might be somewhat exhuberant after having a cider or two, but it was a bit much for us. We wonder if the sound level could be managed better by installing some softer surfaces like curtains or tapestries on the walls. At this point we are not inclined to return because it is just too loud for our liking.
Wanted to love it!!!! Being local, we really wanted to love the spirit tree and support. It was a terrible dried out $28 chewy burger, 4 oz in size at the most. Server didn t quality check til we were finished our meals. Tortiere and quiche were meh. Please hire a talented chef, we d love to be regulars!
Good location, parking is lacking due to how crowded it gets. Dont go without reservations, or youll find no seating, only take out. Good food decent cider.
Always delicious and unique.
This cidery is beautiful and the food is great!! We will be back
Great location for apple picking! I visited this weekend for my second year in a row. Would give 5 stars but the amount of staff needs to increase. I came with a group of 4 including myself. Our food took nearly 45 mins , 4 small pizzas. The one runner was going back and forth, one bartender outside , one person on pizzas inside. We noticed similarities last year but it wasn t as bad as it was this year when it came to service. All of the staff were lovely but overall management should absolutely increase staff especially during Saturdays/ apple picking season.
Really nice space to spend an afternoon. Specialty flights were hit or miss, with 2 out of the 4 tasting a bit watered down. The pear flight I added from the standard list as a fifth was good. Pizza was tasty, however we only ordered 1 large mushroom and had to wait over an hour to eat. I understand that within the hour we waited the cidery got busy, but you need to schedule more staff.
Tried the Draught Cider, the Dry-Hopped, and the seasonal Pear Lavendar ciders. All great, my favorite was the Dry-Hopped. Also grabbed the burger and fries. Pretty good. Atmosphere
Perfect afternoon to sample a flight eat pizza and listen to tunes by the Traveling Wannabes with friends Did not pick apples Vegetarian options: Lots of veg pizzas
Apple picking with the family! Such a great experience. Woodoven pizza and ciders were delicious. Great memories.
love coming here , beautiful place off in nature
Very expensive. Nice farm and great food at the bistro, but wait times for food is quite long and very pricey. I would highly recommend the brie as an appetizer but please be ready to pay. Both apple picking and restaurant/ shop are on the more expensive side.
Food was really good! My friends and I enjoyed every little bit of it however the service was very very slow. One of the servers missed a couple things from our order as well as they didn t write anything down. Also we were waiting on our deserts for 35 to 45 minutes which we found a bit too much. Either way, I feel like if the servers improve with their way of doing things it would be a 9/10
Great environment for everyone. The service was excellent and their apple tart are delicious.
We waited over an hour for 2 pizzas. When they arrived, the dough was undercooked and overall the pizza was bland. The butter tarts were tiny and overpriced at $3.75 regardless of whether they were plain, with nuts or raisins. They definitely were not worth it. The shell was rock hard to boot! 350ml of chocolate milk cost $3.65! I will not be coming back.
Our very first apple picking experience and it was amazing, the people are so friendly and warm, the honey crisp apples were so juicy and sweet, but my favourtie was the foccacia pizza, it was something we never had before and was really delicious, the ciders were really good.
This place is gorgeous and the staff are great. Really enjoyed the dry cider and pear cider too. Recommend getting a flight and pizza for two - so crispy!
Usually I would give 5 stars as I like this place a lot and have had great visits here. However today it only gets 2 stars. I bought a scone and asked them to warm it up for me. I was told the kitchen was closing as it was almost 4 pm, closing time. Fine. But really??? You wouldnt heat up a scone for a customer for 1 minute? Thats a really lame thing to say to a customer. You may close down kitchen operations but you dont close an oven or microwave.
This is a perfect cozy spot for a fall day trip from Toronto. I tried the cider flight, which offered a delicious variety, and the sweet potato soup was unforgettable. I also took home an apple pie for Thanksgiving dinner it was a hit with the whole family!
If youre in the area for a hike, definitely must visit here (other than the fact that its likely one of the only eateries around...) BUT! Portions are generous, prices are really good, and most importantly the favours are great and fresh. Service was friendly Just wished the decor was a little more inspirational. Lots of free parking. All in all, still great! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options Dietary restrictions: See above
I love this place for its ambience, old world charm and the pizzas. We have very few such places left near GTA and I hope they stay here for good.
Thus was a first for me. We went on the tour . Although it was super informative there was not much touring/ walking around as I thought there would be. But there was lots of cider sampling soooo not complaining because walking seemed hard after 3-4 samples. Cool that there was alcohol and non alcohol options. Cider lady was like whos alcoholic. And I was Im an alcoholic . Laughter ensued. After the tour we enjoyed lunch. If you do the tour you get a discount like 5 bucks off your lunch. I dont do bees so we ate inside but there was outside eating areas with live music. Lush grass for picnicking or picnic tables for those who cant make it to the ground. Ample parking. Busy space but not so busy that service took a long time. Food was really good. Variety of wood oven pizzas, super fat burgers, ciders obviously. Ate my first tempura maple leaf. Excited as I was to try it it was kind of anti- climatic but I can scratch that off my bucket list. There little market store was cool. You can buy a variety of apples picked from their orchard , ciders , jellies, apple ketchup, to name a few thibgs all organic. Allllll and I mean alllll of the staff every last one of them was amazing, helpful, smiling, talkative and receptive. Okk so there was only 2 washroom stalls for such a busy place so expect a 2-5 minute wait time thats along time if you cant hold it lol. Ibwould recommend this place . If you are looking to do something different and you like ciders.
Delicious food, nice live music, good place to hang around on a sunny afternoon.
I found the ciders to taste a bit meaty. Great pizzas, was a great spot to hit up after a day of hiking. The dogs were cool hanging in the shade while we shared pizza and drinks. Wish there was music.
It was our first time visiting and we were a big group of 19 (including kids). They accommodated our seating, were very welcoming. Pizza was amazing. Enjoyed drinks. Kids played in the field while adults had drinks. It was a great setup. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Kid-friendliness: food was good for kids. they had none alcoholic cider for kids. field for kids to play in
Well, the manager made it right in the end. They need to work out where to eat. How to order. And where to pick up food and beverages. The food was okay. Expect sweeeeeet cider. Dog (on leash) friendly.
What a hidden gem this place is. Great pizza!
This was my second visit and it was nice to see that the food options have expanded. We sat in the garden and had pizza and cider. Both were excellent and I ll definitely be back. I also bought some raisin butter tarts which were quite good.
Beautiful place to sit back relax and enjoy the yummy pizza and Ciders. Staff is very welcoming.Would love to go again.
Fresh Apples Amazing Pear Cider Live music It was an absolute retreat from the city life.
Very busy on Sunday noon. Could not get a table for lunch
Sarah was great at recommending a sampling, quick and friendly service too!! Big thanks to the food runner Josh!
You need a reservation to eat and the bar tender was over focused on the amount poured. Food was great but a friendly atmosphere would have been nice. Bar staff needs to be outgoing and friendly.
Pizza and burger plates were delicious. Flights of cider are great to taste test a lot of options. Staff is friendly. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza available
The Service and food at the Restaurant was excellent, thanks to Haley who was very gracious and accomodating. But NO THANKS to Lenny, the cider man, who was surly and unwelcoming; the most unpleasant part of our experience. Lenny made us feel like tresspassers, not visitors, on the Spirit Tree Estate.
Had a lovely lunch here. The staff went over and above for their customers
Great place and fun.
Lovely atmosphere, very friendly, helpful staff.
We came here for lunch with our dog and sat at a picnic table in the cider gardens. Had the pizza and it was good. The gardens were very dog friendly with picnic tables spread pretty far apart. Even the driest cider was a bit sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend as a great place to have lunch and a drink with your doggo!
This was my first time here and Im definitely coming back! The food was spectacular! The best quiche Ive ever had! My friend & I shared a salad & a pizza (mushroom with ricotta) & they were fantastic! The pizza has a thin and delicious crust! Our server Shay was incredibly helpful and so sweet to us!! Thank you Shay for making our first of many visits a wonderful experience!! We highly recommend this place!! Vegetarian options: The vegetable quiche is AMAZING!!
The pizza and cider were delicious, and the staff was kind. The live band was an added bonus.
This place is incredible. The cider is crisp and refreshing and the pizza was cooked perfectly and very very tasty. My group got three different pizzas and the mushroom one was by far my favorite but they were all very good. This place is a most stop. Great after a morning of hiking.
Awesome
Nice spot - good food. The kids were not into it but the adults enjoyed.
We prepaid for mothers day brunch which was almost 100$ each. The dining room is small, I think 8 tables but they already had run out of coffee mugs so they served our coffee and tea in take out cups. Our appetizers took an hour to arrive. I ordered a Feta, beet and spinach salad - they forgot the beets. Our meal took another 45 mins to arrive. I ordered eggs Benedict. Eggs were over cooked. Hollandaise sauce was awful. A chicken nugget came out with my overcooked potatoes. My partner ordered the steak which was way overcooked and almost unedible. It took us almost 2.5 hours to receive our 3 course meal. They knew they did such a poor job they offered us a gift card and a free bottle of cider. If we hadnt prepaid tickets we would have definitely left. We wont be going back. Are there real chefs in your kitchen?
We stopped to pick up a quiche (as we have done many times...we get a full quiche, maybe 12-14 in diameter). My wife was told that yes, they have takeout quiche... comes with soup. It was 1 slice for $20. I dont know if things have changed there, but we will not return.
I was just visiting the area for the weekend. I looked it up online and decided to go there. I wasnt disappointed. Delicious pizza. Reminded me of real Italian pizza. The fudge was also amazing and the surroundings and other offerings made it a very worthwhile visit!
Amazing cider, great atmosphere, but the food was underwhelming. They also need more veg protein options on the menu. Vegetarian options: Only a salad and fries. The salad was great but there was no protein in it.
Been here for the first time. Its been a long time since i had pizza this good in Canada. And the apple cider was also top notch. Near to city and must visit place if you want quick escape from all the hustle and bustle of city
Nice vibes
Beautiful orchard and cidery with expert staff and talented chefs. Loved our tour that included samples and a behind the scenes look at the process of making cider. I was most impressed with the application of permaculture and thoughtful architecture throughout the property, very environmentally conscious. The cider was very tasty and their shop was full of local offerings. Hope to visit again in the summer, I wish they had a glamping set up or options to stay on site. Parking: Gravel parking lot with lots of room.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Food
Great selection of fresh local products - Baked goods on site - super fresh. Staff and wonderful + always welcoming. TEN STARS
Decided to go try this place after it was recommended to me by my family member. I had the pizza pretty good pizza. I also had the focaccia pizza which was very good and an OMG chocolate chip cookie with walnuts also very good
Everybody seemed to be in training and in a bad mood. Prices were exorbitant, and the cider was less than satisfactory. Pizza was good, though.
Such a relaxing place where you feel away from traffic and busy world even though its around the corner. Yummy local food
A Farm Fresh Food JACKPOT!! The wood oven fired pizza is to die for! It s almost like an English muffin crust. Service : 5/5
Worth the drive.
Came here a few years ago and always wanted to come back. Brought my husband for the first time to check out the bistro. The pizza is amazing and my husband is in love with the Apple Lager. The prices are so reasonable as well! We ended up getting a draught jug to bring home and its almost gone! Definitely planning trips to come back!
I ve been coming here for years! Their cider is very tasty and paired with their pizza makes a fantastic meal!
Really nice place well worth a visit. We went here after a small hike in Cheltenham Badlands in the autumn. Tasted some cider and then ordered pizza that we ate outside. All good! Got some cider to go as well. Nice staff and free parking just outside.
Awesome local food, gorgeous setting!
What s not to love? Buttertarts, pizza and obviously great cider! Check, check, CHECK!
Looking for nature, cozy vibes, good food, and hot apple cider? This is definitely a place to check out!
Good for a drive or brunch on a nice day
The pizza was top-notch, the peach cider was refreshing, and the waiters were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious dining experience.
This place is situated in a very open spacious orchard. Nothing around for miles the indoor has amazing fresh baked goods and ciders to choose from it smells so nice. Jas a picnic area were you can sit and sip cider. Its a must come in the summer when weather improves. Bought there fresh Banana Milk.
Pizza was very fresh and delicious
one of the best pizzas i have ever had and ciders were amazing too . great vibes
Lots of tasty food and drink. Good service.
Great place. Changed over in the years its been open into more of a craft ciders, but still the same great drinks and pizza.
Loved being here. The food and service is A one. The vibe of the place is totally outdoorsy. They have indoor seating as well. And a gig stage as well but wasnt happening when we were there. Totally coming back!! Beautiful area.
Our go-to country store for great apples, pizza, pastries and wine. Cute outdoor picnic area. Dog friendly.
Fun place. Can sit comfortably outdoors, enjoy the weather. We had a beautiful sunset which added to the ambiance. Food takes a bit of time to come out but it was so pleasant that we didnt mind.
flight of ciders and a pizza !!!!
Beautiful family place, is amazing how you feel that connection between environment, food, music and relax everything in the same place.
A nice day out for certain.
Excellent place to spend a evening outdoors.......
Best pecan tarts around!
Amazing little cidery. Paid for the tour and got lucky enough to meet one of the owners. Super super interesting how he has set up his orchids and made it self reliant. Definitely worth the drive. I love their pear cider both hard and sparkling.
I love this place. The cider is great and the pizza is amazing. We got the daily special of a BBQ pizza and it was so cheesy and fresh. Outside seating only has a few shades spots, moved around a bit to find a good spot. Otherwise a really nice setting.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food made by chef siddh. Must visit place
Very chic place... But reasonable prices. Gorgeous scenery!!
A nice place to spend a relaxing afternoon
Best homemade apple cider ever hot or cold had to get 6L of it. Also the hard cider is good as well I personally like the orange one just dont drink too many or youll end up laying on the floor .
Far out but always worth it worth the sitdown flight + pizza. Ciders are pretty good as well.
Very nice Ciders, many choices, very good food. We went on summer noon, didn t find many shades or trees. That is one improvement I suggest. Planning to visit again on a musical evening.
A beautiful place to visit. The tour guide (highly recommend the tour) was an absolute gem and highly knowledgeable. She took us through the orchard and around the facility. Also got to meet the owner Tom who is both brilliant and friendly. This place is special. The building is sustainably built using straw and concrete with geothermal heating, which I found fascinating. Tom built it himself. The wood fired thin crust pizza is perfection. So is the apple ketchup and the hops cider. Overall, absolutely loved this place. Thanks Spirit Tree!
Unbelievably expensive cider, poured from a can. 4 small drinks were nearly $50! Store has mediocre range of expensive products.
I pick apples here with my family every year. Its an amazing place to spend a wonderful afternoon and the apples are better than anything Ive ever bought from a grocery store. Apple picking and lunch at the cafe rounds off a great day on the farm.
2023 July 4 Great local food at decent prices. This store, eatery and bar offers a variety of local and its own products. Specializing in apple cider, they offer sparkling (wine bottle), dry hopped (orange), draught cider (green), cranberry (red) and pear (yellow). Best (also the sweetest) is the draught - the green can. Though you can buy a mix to try. Wood Oven Pizza - Spirit Tree Tomato sauce base, pesto, roasted tomatoes, roasted chicken, garlic, mozzarella and goat cheese. Small-$17 (11 round, 4 slices) Large-$25 (16 round, 8 slices) Replaced the goat cheese with Boccioni. Amazing. Seating primarily at the bar and two tables just near the front entrance. Seating is primarily on the field where you can spend the evening sitting outside with entertainment on beautiful weekends.
We were looking for a decent restaurant in the area and found this spot.. it is quite a nice and cozy place but they only serve pizza and some pastry.. more like for quick stop and not for dining in and enjoying some drinks and food... They also have fresh fruits and vegetables, apple ciders products..like a farmers market...we didnt end up staying..
The Spirit Tree Estate Cidery is the perfect place to enjoy a nice glass of apple cider and pizza, in a disconnected setting from urbanized areas. This is one of the finest cideries in all of Canada. Serving up different variations and flavours of apple cider, with every one of them being unique and tasty. For food options, within the main building is a market where they sell pastries, baked goods, their ciders and other snacks. If you are looking to stop by the cidery for lunch, their menu is very limited, they serve wood oven pizzas, fries and a daily soup. Although the menu is condensed, they clearly go for quality over quantity, each pizza is baked and topped to perfection. Spirit Tree s atmosphere is similar to having a picnic at a park, the only seating options are outdoors, leaving you with countless views of the estate and the apple blossoms. I would highly recommend stopping by the Spirite Tree Cidery for a day to escape the city and absorb natures beauty.
I was told the restaurant part had closed down due to Covid-19, however the store remains open which includes a pizza oven. STEC has a limited menu that contains mostly pizza but they do have other select items. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful while the staff are wonderful, helpful and friendly. Although there is no restaurant seating they do have picnic benches and canopies outdoors. I thought the pizza was pretty good however I also got seasoned fries which were soggy and just werent good. The store is filled with various foods and drinks. They also offer cider on tap. Im hoping the restaurant will reopen. If you are out and about in the Caledon area I recommend dropping by Spirit Tree Estate Cidery.
A fantastic place for a day drive . Apple products are amazing
Went here with my girlfriend for a fun date. we did the tour which was nice and it gave a good history for the estate and how it works. The ciders they make are very good. The area outside to hang out and drink is nice too but could maybe use more picnic tables and shaded areas (umbrellas for more of the tables would be great) They also have a little food marketplace inside the building where they sell locally grown produce and other locally made foods/ baked treats, but its on the pricey side. The woodoven pizza is also very good, very high quality but also on the pricey side. They have live music on the weekends too which was great. Highly recommend this as its a great place for a date, just be prepared to spend some money. Parking: Moderate amount of parking available but can get full very quick when busy. Kid-friendliness: Kids can hang out
We had pizza and ciders here. The pizza was really good, tasty, and fresh. They also have a variety of ciders that you can try and enjoy.
Such a fun treat cost to home
Hadnt been in a little bit but surprised to see the inside dining room doesnt exist any more. But outside was fantastic on a nice day. Live music. Great pizza. Took a while, I think they were slammed with orders. Friend got a steak from the food truck and it was good to. My favorite Cidery this time is the Spanish cider. Nice and dry without being tart.
I love their ciders.
Love this place. Its a bit off the beaten path, but we always find our way back for a flight of cider and so e delicious pizza!
I recently moved to this neighbourhood. My neighbours recommended this place for the pizza so I decided to take my family there on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived at 4:10 hungry for pizza with smiles on our faces. We were greeted by a young woman that told us that they are done making pizza for the day (they close at 5pm). Apparently we missed the cut off by 5 minutes. We were offered ready made pizza but she refused to make anything new for our party. Our smiles disappeared quickly and we briefly considered to go elsewhere but ultimately decided to give the pizza a try. This young woman seemed anxious, annoyed, and demonstrated absolutely horrible customer service skills. We selected 7 large slices of pizza and requested to have them warmed up in the oven. She told us that there was no need to warm up the ready made pizza as it was recently taken out from the oven. We insisted that she warm up the slices as it was visibly obvious that the pizza had gone cold. After this push back she reluctantly warmed up the slices of pizza for us. Right beside us another customer picked up a fresh pizza and a large fresh salad. While waiting we saw a few newly made fresh pizzas being put into the oven. What s the deal? Why all the pushback? It just doesn t make sense. We are new hungry customers. Not such a great experience so far I decided to add a large salad to my order. Her response was Hmm I don t think we have any more but let me check . Apparently they don t want to make any new salad 45 minutes to closing either. So she returns and asks how many salads we want, just one I replied. Clearly this young woman needs some customer service training. No respect for customers and she doesn t appear to like her job. We didn t feel welcomed at all. It will be a long time before I return to try this place again. There are many other pizza places nearby that understand the value of customers. Is service with a smile so difficult?
Enjoyed a cider tour by a very knowledgeable staff member. We didnt love all the ciders but found a few that were delicious.
Great atmosphere , tasty cider, live music. In store local apples, freshly baked breads, selection of alcoholic & non-alcoholic ciders, oven baked pizza Kid-friendliness: Kids & dog friendly
Delicious pizzas and ciders.
Stopped by this cidery because were avid cider fans and we left with mixed feelings. The staff at the tents were friendly, helpful, and charming. The outdoor tent and picnic area is a nice touch and we visited when a solo musician was performing music outdoors. Overall a lovely experience. The only downside was the food and cider. The main food item was pizza and they are OK. We tried flights of ciders and wines and liked 2 of the 10 drinks. The fries were well seasoned and the apple ketchup was delicious. We ended up buying our favourite drink from the shop before leaving. Great place overall to try fun drinks!
Very cool
Really fun experience at the Spirit Tree Estate Cidery; plenty of ciders to choose from, as well as freshly made bread, pastries, jams and sauces, meats, etc. Theres some area to sit inside to try their various ciders (individually, flight of 3 or 5); plus plenty of patio space outdoors. You can get some pretty fantastic thin crust wood oven pizza (small or large, various topics) that you can have along your tasting or simply as a side. Would highly recommend and come back; staff was also friendly and knowledgeable about the ciders.
What an awesome place. Great pizza, excellent cider at very reasonable price. There is also apple picking but we didn t get around to trying it. if you are in the area, this place is highly recommended!
Friendly atmosphere, lots of choice, possible to picnic on the lawn in front of the building. The pastries were delicious
This family-owned cidery is a cozy spot to enjoy fall weather and activities. The apple picking is fun (you can also just grab a bag from their shop), and I really enjoyed doing a cider tasting in their cider garden. Ordered a pizza for dinner - delicious!
Fun Saturday afternoon of food, drinks and yacht rock
Apple orchard with a small bakery and pizza oven. Live entertainment in the front yard and a lively staff. Reccomend the cranberry cider.
This place has really gone downhill over the years its way too busy and their staff cant keep up with the demand. We waited 2 hours for pizza today and it was cold by the time we got it. They gave us a number and told us to wait outside well find you -which they never did and when I confronted them inside they argued with me that they called our number. I wont be coming back here for a while and I wont be pre-tipping for my purchases. I recommend avoiding this place on the weekend and on nice days, come here during the week on a rainy days maybe their staff will be able to keep up. At least the cider is always good....cheers!
I love Spirit Tree. Their pizza is AMAZING!!! And so is the cider and pastries. As soon as they open for the season, Im there.
Good food, friendly staff, slow service. It was a nice plave to enjoy a fall day
A nice surprise.
I love the atmosphere Service to get your food is super slow borderline unacceptable. Food prices are horrendous for what you get and how it tastes.
Update Oct 2023 - Check the picture of fries. I am not sure if it is the style but it tasted burnt and I had to just garbage them. So watch out for fries. ------ Great place to spend time like apple picking, having fresh Pizza, great options of ciders, honey. Good customer service
We did the tour and it was a great time. They gave a nice selection of their ciders to sample and our tour guide did a fantastic job. Pizza was amazing and so were the ciders
Tasty variety of ciders, all made in house. The sangria flavour was really nice. The pizza is also quite tasty and it goes well with their ciders. Parking: Parking is just as you enter the property
We went for a hike and stomped upon the cidery. We had lunch and cider. Highly recommended the pizza and the soup. We also had a freight of non alcoholic cider. Will revisit if I come back for hiking.
LOVE the hot Apple cider! As. The scones! Great service great people
Food is still good but miss dining inside.
Glad they got some seating inside by the bar! Very cool place just came here for the seasonal options on the cider board & the pizza. Very creative flavours & taste & it was good! Would definitely come back in the summer but good place for a bite after fall activities or picking their apples.
Was great, 5 star. but since bought out has deteriorated immensely. So sad.
The outdoor live music and pizza in the warm months is a great activity for kids and adults alike. They always have interesting ciders to try and we love their fresh baked bread and other baked goods.
Pizza was great! Facility was super impressive. I Bought a 6 pack of their cider tall cans. All of them except the apple lager had this cheesy off taste like their equipment was dirty or something. I messed up a home brew hopped pineapple cider once that had the same taste. I threw my whole batch out. Really unimpressed.
Absolutely lovely staff, great cider and food. Even gluten free options! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options Food : 5/5 |
Great pizza and Cider .
That time a guy said take this away and give it to a dog where it belongs still resonates with me
For a short visit well worth a stop if you are in the area
This was an excellent experience. The ciders were very good with a decent selection to choose from. They have a little market on site with various items. They had live music outside with a scenic view of property. I highly recommend if you want a trip outside the city.
This place is awesome!! Just went for the first time. The cider and food is delicious. The staff is ABSOLUTELY amazing! So friendly!
