119 2 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0B2, Canada
Informal dining spot serving a straightforward Chinese menu with noodles, lo mein & sesame chicken.
Overpriced and disappointing. The wanton noodle looked nothing like the photo—just plain noodles, no veggies. In the photo there was gailan. Asked for chili, and they said they don’t serve it. It’s a Chinese restaurant that doesn’t serve chilli? Service was terrible, and to top it off, I found a hair in my food. Absolutely disgusting. Would never return here.
My favourite place for Cantonese and Hong Kong style food. Love their breakfast selection. Curry brisket, pan fried chicken, Portuguese chicken, Hainan chicken, beef noodle soups, salt and pepper squid, and stir fried noodles are my favourites. Extensive menu, and are English speaking friendly. Can’t beat the price, flavour, authenticity, overall quality and satisfaction.
This is one of the few real HK style restaurants in Calgary. People who aren’t used to the service here just need to realize this is how it is in most authentic Chinese restaurants. Sure, some might be a bit better than others but you honestly come here for food not service. We just like to come, sit down, eat and go. Also, different from other western restaurants, you DO have to wave the waiter if you need anything. Do not WAIT for them to come ask if you need anything lol that just doesn’t exist in authentic Chinese restaurants. And yes you can wave for anyone working there, there’s no particular person working for your table.
the food is very promising. Service needs some work. Hard to get greeted and get their attention either. They are busy. But food kinda forgets everything you deal with here. In terms of taste, never had fish dish thats crunchy and savoury in my life it is that good. A little boney but hey its worth while getting the meat out of it. Very authentic Chinese food and lot of local traffic here.
Milk tea is 8/10 but food is ok. The pineapple bun is cold while waiting for 15 mins. I was expecting I got a hot dish. The noodle has zero taste as well so I rate 5/10
Used to love this place. Although they have huge portions and certain meals come with a hot drink and soup or garlic bread, it doesn’t make up for the hygiene. Husband found hair in his food. Friend found something questionable in his. Language barrier noticeable. Preferable if you can speak Cantonese or know someone who can.
Pretty nice place! Friendly staff, but efficient at what to do. You enter this place, and honestly, it's this eclectic feel of clean and modern, yet still very much simmering shiny 🌟Chinese gaud somehow. Don't know how to explain the decor, but it's nice! But of all, food came out much quicker than expected, and normally I'm a big eater, but even for me, the portions there were really big. I had to take some of this back to my hotel, because I was easily filled. I'd come back again if I had the chance!
A visit to Calgary’s Chinatown just isn’t complete without a stop to Calgary Court. Great value for Cantonese cuisine in a modern and busy setting full of regulars and newcomers. The menu has all the bangers you’d expect from a good Chinese diner.
I will never come here again. There are only four or five tables in the whole restaurant, so I waited for half an hour for this rice noodle dish. They promised me a drink with less ice and added a lot of ice to me. The waiter has a bad attitude, please dont give any business to this kind of store again.
Very efficient service with a variety of Chinese food options.
Ordered baked pork chop with rice in tomato sauce this afternoon. The pork was served completely raw. Customers be aware.
Portuguese baked rice used to be amazing a couple years ago. Sadly something in their recipe changed and now it is no longer good.
This was our first time dining here, and unfortunately, we were disappointed with the service. We waited an unusually long time for our order, even though we arrived first, while other customers who came later were served before us. When we tried to get the server s attention, they seemed inattentive. The dish itself was also disappointing, with more vegetables than meat, which wasn t what we had expected. Additionally, there was a language barrier that made it difficult to communicate our needs clearly, as they didn t know much English. Overall, it was a frustrating experience with poor service.
This meal is really delicious! The business is very good and the attitude is very Hong Kong! The food is a little slow to come out but every dish is delicious! My favorite Sichuan spicy chicken
Come here for food not service. Good HK style dishes.
Mediocre food with a terrible attitude and careless service.
Calgary Hong Kong style tea restaurant
This place gave me a sense of comfort with congee for breakfast. The congee changes daily. The service is quick and the food is consistent.
The restaurant staff was kind enough to let us stay after hours as we arrived about 30mins before they closed. The food was pretty good, except for one of the dishes we ordered but all in all it was great!
Early Bird Win at Calgary Court Restaurant! Just had the Wednesday Early Bird breakfast at Calgary Court Restaurant, and Im seriously impressed! For just $4.99, you get a steaming hot Lo Mai Gai (sticky rice with chicken) paired with garlic butter toast thats so flavorful and satisfying! Honestly, its even cheaper than having breakfast in Hong Kong and way more generous in portion! The best part? This Early Bird special runs from Monday to Friday, with new dishes every day! Already planning my next visit to try their Mix-and-Match Cart Noodles and Hainanese Chicken Rice! Today I went to Calgary Court Restaurant to try their Wednesday early bird breakfast, and it was a pleasant surprise! For only $4.99, you can get a plate of hot and juicy glutinous rice chicken with garlic butter toast. It s really full of flavor and filling! To be honest, Zhong Ping usually eats breakfast in Hong Kong, and the portion is huge! The best part is that this early bird discount is available from Monday to Friday, with new styles available every day! Next time, you must try the popular noodles and Hainanese chicken rice! #YYCFood #CalgaryEats #YYCNow #YYCFoodies #YYCDeals #YYCBreakfast #CalgaryCourtRestaurant #FoodiesOfinstagram #YYCLiving #InstaFood #CalgaryBuzz #ExploreYYC #YYCFinds #CalgaryFoodScene #CheapEatsYYC #HongKongBreakfast #YYCLocal #CalgaryLife #AsianFood # YYCMustTry #FoodLover #YYCDeals #BreakfastGoals #FoodBloggers #EatYYC #YYCInspo #YYCEats #YYCFoodCulture #FoodieFinds #YYCTastemakers
I am very disappointed about the portion of the tea set. The plate for fried rice is now just 10 cm x 10 cm, just like a kid meal. Please have something first before you come.
This is one of Calgary s top reasonable Chinese restaurants for the last 30 years. Very genuine Cantonese food in a somewhat cafeteria style presentation. Quality of the food is always excellent. The staff are polite, respectful, and work hard and fast. The manager of the restaurant is absolutely excellent.
Nice Hong Kong style taste Beef offal soup, dry-fried beef, Hainanese chicken rice, curry beef brisket rice It may be a problem with the white rice. The rice is dry and hard.
Pretty hit or miss. Prices are meh.
Great price! Tasted just like a Hong Kong tea restaurant but super sized for Americans. Highly recommended!
So disappointed with the delivery order. I went there and dine in once and it was delish, especially the tofu. But once I ordered from Uber, the food was completely different. Fries and chicken seemed like they fried it since the morning. Tofu was not flavorful. The spring rolls were not as great as what I had from other restaurants. Overall, I m so disappointed this time.
Good place for a quick bite, the portions are huge.
Very delicious, flavourful and yummy dishes. Value for money. A must try
Awesome food n friendly servers
Ordered a baked rice combination at 12:30pm on their website to be picked up at 5pm. When I opened the packaging when I got home it was literally cold. Cheese was unmelted and the rice was hard as rocks. Seems like they made the order when I put it in despite saying pick-up at 5pm...
Have not been back for a while just dropped by for a quick breakfast. Now they have traditional Hong Kong style breakfast. Enjoyable and brought back childhood memories from Hong Kong. These days can get busy come early to get a table pretty packed for the weekend by 10am to 10:30am Enjoyed our quick lunch here in Calgary China town. Sad to see many local Chinese restaurants and stores are now fading away in Chinatown. Calgary Court is doing fine and kept busy. Great to come back and try out their food as well. Traditional Hong Kong style cafe food. Good food and fast services. Satisfying and will be back again. Recommended.
My favourite place for breakfast. The Hong Kong style breakfast is so nostalgic and its a great price.
This is my fave Chinese restaurant in Calgary. The food is delicious though prices increased somehow compare to past years. But I would still highly suggest ordering this lemongrass porkchop. I love it so much especially the secret sauce on side. Though my only complain is they just give 2 pieces now and a small portion compare before they are huge in size and 3pieces. Some staffs are friendly and some are not especially the old ones. They should atleast smile when greeting customers.
Food and place are good. This is a very efficient franchise. However, our orders got mixed up by Cantonese server, and she didnt apologize. We got lot of onions in the lamb dish that we didnt order. it came with side of soup and peanuts so it was okay I guess.
Favourite place to get breakfast in Calgary come here everytime I visit staff are friendly & food is amazing.
Hong Kong style tea restaurant Milk tea is good
Yummy!
Been here since moving to Alberta. Very good restaurant with Hong Kong styled cafe food. From traditional Hong Kong breakfast to afternoon tea to dinner plates, all tastes amazing. Might be hard to find parking on the street where you could go for James Short Parkade.
Update of my previous review: Below average southern Chinese food. Ordered Singapore vermicelli, shrimp tastes off, minimum veggie and meat mix. Very disappointed. Food : 1/5 Recommended dishes
The staff is nice and friendly. Good foods with lots of variety.
Charged me an extra dish which I did not order. After telling them the cashier ran around seeing if the order came to our table and did not believe me that we did not order the dish. After finally figuring out someone accidentally punched it in she made it a big deal to refund me the extra charge. Not only was she rude about the refund she glared at me waiting for tips and basically hovering over my shoulder to see how much I was tipping. The food is decent for a quick bite but the service here is so horrible I will not come back at all. Highly do not recommend
Food was not very good. Ordered chicken wings with fries. Wings were slightly burnt. Ordered fried seafood noodles; sauce on noodles not that great.
Train your employees basic customer service.
Tea time tasty and great CP.
this restaurant became my favorite in Calgary after I moved to Chinatown. I go there twice a week at least and other dishes are pretty good but their oil rice is very bad tho
We went there for breakfast. The food was okay. My chicken was a bit overcooked. I espeically like their milk tea. Would probably go back for that.
Good food for a good price. I really enjoyed the curry in particular. Also, the milk tea was pretty good.
Cockroach in my takeout food. I was so disgusted, I threw the rest of the meal out. When I brought the dish back to complain, they pulled me to the back as if they already knew what the issue was, leading me to believe this is a common occurrence. They refunded me for the dish and sent me on my way. No apologies or anything. Waste of my $100, as I wasnt willing to take any chances trying the other food. I have to question, even if you dont see cockroaches in your food, what did the roaches touch or was mixed in with before it got to the customer? I would give this place negative stars if I could.
Hong Kong style tea restaurant that offers authentic and excellent Chinese cuisine.
Easiest 5 star rating ever. It is truly a taste of Hong Kong cuisine and HK Café Style.
There is no sense of Hong Kong. It is very different from Hong Kong. The taste is very bland. The scrambled eggs for breakfast have no seasoning. The ham noodles are also quite ordinary. The best food is pesto toast.
If you havent tried HK style milk tea (served hot) ,you have to try their milk tea with condensed milk), what a good treat that makes your day.
The dish portion is big, you get good value for the money. The restaurant seems very busy during weekday lunch hour, but staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cantonese speaking woman wearing glasses and mask with bad attitude and super impatient should I tip? (A country with a tipping culture~~~) She even gave me the wrong order and was very impatient when I asked her. I gave her the most respectful response... There was another tall mandarin waiter with a very nice attitude. It was the same restaurant or an old restaurant. There was such a difference. The attitude is a bit interesting~ The boss saw this review and suggested that the waitress with short hair like Tall should be given more salary and tips, because she deserves it! Shouldn t a country with a tipping culture promote this kind of culture? Otherwise, if you put on a bad face to show your guests, will I eat your bad face or your food~ Hahahahaha!
Good food. Affordable price. go to place for a congee fix. We dont leave our table messy in any restaurant we dine in. Respect to the staff. Thanks!
Its a decent Hong Kong-style Chinese restaurant.
I visit Calgary for work very often and this is (used to be) my must go restaurant until last visit. I ordered a take out and patiently waiting for one fried rice for almost AN HOUR. I always smiled as I work in a high demand customer service field. It wasn t busy that time. The walk-ins tables came in after me, they all got the food served before me. I asked the waitress after 40 mins waiting, she went in and checked a couple of times, and always said, almost, almost and told me they severed the take-outs and dine-ins in order, no difference. But clearly she lied coz I witnessed everything. Anyways, they charged you super fast (and the only time with a smile)! Like 2 mins after you placed the order, but make you wait for so long for food without any apology. I know how busy this restaurant could be, but definitely not on last visit. I always tip regardless dine in or take out. But this is the first time I felt the tips was wasted.
Authentic Cantonese food.
The food is good and I come here many times in a month. Unfortunately they always run out of rice and other sauces. Also the different dishes never come out at similar times to each other. It feels like they re doing it on purpose because something like this happens every time I come now. They never apologize.
Ping Liangzheng, dry fried beef river is amazing!
This restaurant is truly a culinary masterpiece! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with impeccable service and an ambiance that was both elegant and inviting. The food was absolutely divine, each dish a symphony of flavors and textures. This is a restaurant that will leave you wanting more, and I cant wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience.
A wide variety of HK-style tea sets available.
Super Yummy. Sp good.
The waiter was attentive. Having heard I may need more rice, he came back to ask if I need more.
Very authentic Hong Kong style food.
Hainese chicken overpriced, just small portion of plain steam chicken, rice is plain and hard and came with a super small dish of hot sweet/sour sauce and 2 piece of pickled carrots for $17.50. They ran out of coconut rice for the Hainese chicken did not offer anything to compensate and denied me a drink to compensate. It used to be good, now that dish is a rip off. Daily special is ok for $17.95 . Service is terrible, waiter walked away while l was talking. I didnt leave a tip, not coming back again.
generally
We ordered three dishes to share. First of all, it took them about 2 hours to bring the dishes up. Second, the food is too oily and salty for us. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience.
Wonderful food
good food without service
I was so excited to try this place. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the food quality. The Hainan chicken rice, despite being expensive, was served in very small portions and lacked the accompanying ginger scallion sauce. It came with 2 tiny pieces of daikon radish and rice. The baked spaghetti lacked flavor and proper baking. Overall, every dish fell short!
An OK spot. Worth the price and that s all I needed.
I can t believe that I can find the true authentic taste from Hong Kong in Calgary!
I am not Calgary resident, however, I made an online order by mistake. They called me when they found out no one picked up the order. After the explaination, they refund to me 100%. I did not expect the refund because it was my mistake. Because of that, they deserve the 5 stars. Best wishes.
Try the beef and pork Curry Packed with nice rich flavor.. This dish was so good I came back the next day for more. . They have a huge menu with lots of variety so Im sure you will be able to find something you enjoy. You can always spot a good Chinese restaurant when its popular with the Chinese community. The prices are very reasonable the service is very fast. I was even impressed with the coffee. Im not sure how they got it so flavorful but its rich and flavorful and not bitter. I found the coffee to be even better than top two well-known chains !!
Great Hong Kong style restaurant with a wide selection of dishes. Staff are friendly and fast to serve. Restaurant has plenty of tables so we always get seating without wait.
Very good place, pleasant experience
Have been going since I was a teenager (20 years) and the food has always been great!
Excellent services
My wife and I love this gem in Calgarys historic Chinatown. Awesome food!!! We went on Chinese new year 2024. The restaurant was packed. Our food came out on time and was delicious. Our waitress Amy was kind, fast, friendly and helpful. I think that the manager is Anna. Shes very nice and professional. Great place to eat
Food was pretty good. The fried noodles and fried rice almost had enough wok hei, but not quite. Service was typical of this style of resto. All over the place, but not technically bad.
There is also tea for takeout and there is a seat to wait for, which is great
This restaurant reminds me of the food I had 30 more years ago when I visited Hong Kong, you probably can t find it right now in Hong Kong. I tried some dishes probably you can t find them anywhere, they taste super good and prices also very reasonable!
The beef flank is always a favorite and Hainan chicken rice was good but portion was small. Service was fast as it s after the lunch rush. Parking: Paid street parking and parking lot. Free street parking only available after 6pm.
Always good food
Just your standard Calgary-iconic Taste of Asia restaurant. Something of a guilty pleasure? Very much in anticipation of some new restaurants that exceeds this chain s quality though
I think it is the best tea restaurant in Calgary! ! Highly recommended!!
Delicious food with warm service
Food was great! Especially enjoyed the curry beef. Would be a five star if it wasn t for the rude service from one of the waitresses.
2023-06-17 After finishing the run for women, I had brunch here. The soup is very filling. 2022-09-03 The taste and portion are both good
Food is delicious, always busy. Sometimes, the servers are rude but understandable.
Stumbled upon this place while exploring chinatown. Food was really yummy, generous portions, as well as the service was very quick and efficient.
Absolutely great food and service. We loved it.
Large portion in optimal price. Good HK style milk tea
I visited this place because I ate too much greasy food while traveling in Canada and was craving clean food. As expected, there was no betrayal in Chamratang. Mapo tofu and Fishball hofun were also very delicious. The atmosphere and service are by far the best! The price is reasonable and there is also a tea time set in the afternoon. Ill stop by again next time.
Received bad service here, guess this was due to I speak mandarin instead Cantonese or English to the staff. And waiting over 30 minutes for food.
Great taste , huge portions
Group of 9 got in just after lunch on Canada Day. Have not seen a line up here before. We waited 5 min and they got us in. Everything was great just one order came at the end when everyone was done. We ended up taking it out, no biggie as we were already full.
The food portions are extremely generous. Waiters are nice and accomodative. The food is really good. Most customers order in (what I thought was Mandarin) Cantonese so you know its probably authentic. You can tell this place is a spot for a lot of former Hong Kongers to feel at home. Calgary Court might just be a little piece of HK brought along with these homesick people.
Located in Taoyuan, Chinatown, Calgary: Curry beef brisket with Gillette pork chop rice, it s Tuesday lunch. The curry beef brisket but the fried pork chop is too dry to match the Western cream soup ; Mongolian lamb slices The sauce is slightly spicy, which is originally very good with rice. Its a dish, but onions account for 80% of the whole dish, and the mutton slices are a bit tough, so I dont recommend it, but the soup has enough ingredients and tastes good.
The quantity of food is great for the price! Do try their Hong Kong Milk Tea - it s delicious!
Food was good
We came here for lunch on a cooler day a little while ago, and didnt have the greatest experience. The AC was very strong, so not only were we were cold, our food was also freezing. The seafood baked spaghetti was not good. The battered seafood was soggy, tough, burnt, and tasted like they were leftovers from the day before. The dish also lacked sauce and cheese. The black pepper stir-fried noodles with beef was the best dish out of three things we got, but was still only mediocre. The chicken stew was overcooked and not too good.
The food remind me of my home town and the people there are very nice
I havent had real Cantonese food like this in such a long time. They also serve drinks like Horlicks! The sauce is just right Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is up a flight of stairs so not accessible Restroom is down a flight of stairs so not accessible
The taste of Hong Kong is better than Taoyuan in Hong Kong The most appreciated milk tea, baked pork chop rice, fried beef river Lunch does not include drinks, ordering drinks is $5 Afternoon tea bag hot drinks, cold drinks add $3
The taste is ok, but it is kind of expensive now according to my friends info
Nice food
Can we take a moment to applaud the servers here? For decades we ve frequented Calgary Court and they ve always delivered in good food and service. They recognize us and remember our usual orders. The downside is shrinkflation has happened here. The portions are smaller for their more expensive dishes (though they re still really tasty.) Of all the Taste of Asia Group restaurants, this one stands out for stellar service. The rest could use a lesson in customer service.
So delicious. Lo v e It!!!!
This place is our family favorite! Food is always amazing, very consistent. Staff are very friendly. Theyre always very busy!
We order a few things , the most surprising thing is the hk style spaghetti with cheesy tomato mean sauce because it has huge amount of green peas in there , if you know what authentic HK food is like they dont have green peas in this dish. So that kinda makes me disappointed
So disappointed...food I can say just OK, but doesnt worth that price, too pricy, service bad ..not recommended if you want to taste Chinese food..
Good food. Good service.
Excellent. Delicious food.Good service. Friendly staff. Clean washroom. V r fm Vancouver. Highly recommend this location. Thank you for having us. Good job
My go to place for chinese cantonese food with my friends and family for over 10 years! Their chili oil is my absolute favourite!
One of my favourite HK style cafe in Calgary. Always go here when im craving comfort food. We ordered the century egg and lean pork congee and the snow cabbage, shredded duck rice vermicelli. Those are some of my go to dishes to order. Food came out quickly. Cant wait to go back.
Very delicious Hong Kong style food, and the portions are large and filling.
First visit. Was solo. Was greeted right away and provided menus and a hot tall glass of tea (amazing). Instantly felt comfortable. Ordered just one dish, the tofu with pork (#37f I believe?). It arrived steaming hot with a side of plain rice. Spice level was just right. Good textures and flavours. Loved my simple solo experience and will be back with friends so we can have more!
Had a good meal, very similar to congee queen just slightly lower on the quality control. Tea refills were on point and pricing is also at par everywhere else. Congee tasted good Food
Bin going here since I was a young child I love it so much the staff is so amazing for ever this place is one of my favorite restaurants world wide
Food is good but expect delays when busy, May take 30-40 mins before food is ready even for a simple noodle soup!!
My favourite HK English style breakfast spot.
Forgot the other half of our order until we asked them to check (three times), then charged us 30¢ a box when we asked for our order to go. One of the waitresses scolded me for pestering about it so much :( Used to come here a lot, but I dont think its worth returning after this visit.
Its always the low expectation for a restaurant that catch you by surprise. We found this cafe on Google since it was 10 min walk from our hotel. Little do we know, this is an authentic Hong Kong style cafe (my fav)! Not only was the food great, but also inexpensive! I also like that the servers are honest and funny. We wanted to order the Chilean Seabass in clay pot dish. She told us upfront that it will be 20 min to cook but will serve the soup right away so we can enjoy while we wait. It was definitely worth the wait. We enjoyed it with sweet & sour pork, chicken cutlet with instant noodles. Highly recommend! We are looking forward to coming back for another wonderful dinner before we head home.
Looking for an authentic Hong Kong cafe-style meal? Your search ends here! Hearty portions with a range of options for all food preferences. Hunan curry, Singapore noodles, schezwan noodles are some of my favorite savory items served here. If you have a sweet tooth, french toast with red bean paste and a dollop of ice cream is a must-have! And have you tried warm coca cola? Try it here! Youll be surprised by the unexpected, but lovely flavor profile. Another hour tip: visit in larger groups so that you can order a variety of dishes they have on offer!
A great place to order food, Hong Kong style. Hong Kong style is more than a regional specialty, it is a way of (foodie) life. The menu has many dishes, and there are some amazing choices here. Like everyone else, I gravitate to a few personal favorites. One of which is the chicken clubhouse sandwich. Not something you would think of in a Chinese restaurant, but it has been a great addition to my meals here. This restaurant has lasted decades because it has great food. Plain and simple.
It s the first time to eat at a street food restaurant. The huge portion is so big that I can t finish it.
Visiting Calgary Court was nothing short of a mesmerizing trip down memory lane, transporting me back to the vibrant streets of Hong Kong with each bite. The gastronomic adventure began with their delectably authentic dishes, each rich with flavor and prepared to perfection, resonating the true essence of Hong Kong cuisine. The milk tea, oh the milk tea - a heavenly brew that beautifully married the robustness of tea with the creamy sweetness of milk, providing a sip that was distinctly reminiscent of the iconic Hong Kong style. The impeccable food service, attentive and cordial, further enhanced the dining experience, ensuring each moment was as delightful as the dishes themselves. Memories of bustling streets, vibrant flavors, and the warmth of Hong Kong were evoked, all within the cozy confines of Calgary Court. A must-visit for anyone yearning for a genuine Hong Kong culinary experience right here at home. Five stars, without a hesitation!
The wonton noodle soup is so good! The wonton is huge and the noodles are so chewy.
Your basic HK style breakfast. Fast and bustling feel. Its what youd expect. Food
Calgary Court is always a nice stop for Hong Kong style cafe/comfort food, for any meal of the day. On this occasion, we ordered the baked Portuguese boneless chicken rice, snow cabbage and duck rice vermicelli, and black pepper beef fry handmade noodle. Overall, the portions are large and you will have enough for the next meal. The flavors are good and concentrated (for example, the baked boneless chicken rice was plenty tomato-ey and cheesy) and the fry has enough breath of the wok/ . The main down sides to this type of food is that it is a bit greasy and carb heavy but still nice to have once a while. Their congees, fried rice, and sandwiches are also enjoyable and recommended.
I love their Hong Kong style breakfast! They have a lot of options and the price point is unbeatable. The food quality is very consistent. Their congee is a must try! Food : 5/5
This is a casual place for snacks and quick meals, good food, and reasonable prices. Its HK style coffee and milk tea are well-known in town. Food
Scammers. My friend (visiting from Van) went to eat there for a $20 lunch special. The waitress charged my friend $165 because the couple sitting next to her didn t pay for their meal. My friend said no and she proceeded to tell her that she has to pay for at least half or it would be subtracted from her tips. That should NOT have been my friends problem. She had a horrible experience there. Be better.
Beware the staff speaking not in English to other customers. They might make you pay for the other persons bill afterwards
Quite some choices of food
Took mom for brunch on 11:20am Sunday. We wanted a quick meal, so ordered 2 cart noodles, a crispy doughnut / crepe (one of my favourites), and milk tea (of course!). 30 minutes, and no food. Asked the waitress, so she went to check on our order. No update. 10 minutes passes, and another waitress comes by and plopped two bowls of noodles on the table, with no explanation or apology for the delay. We ate hastily, while waiting for the donut crepe to come. Never came. The broth in both our noodles was on the bland side (not what one would expect from ). When we finished the noodles, we went to pay the bill, as we had already been there for over 50 minutes. I mentioned to the lady at the till about the missing doughnut crepe (they had no idea), and asked to have it taken off our bill. I also mentioned about the very slow service for 2 simple bowls of noodles, which she apologized for. Total came out to $34.39 with tax. If the doughnut crepe was included, it would have been over $43! The value was just not there for the meal and service we got. I still included a small 5% tip (-5% for missing dish / diluted broth; -5% for slow and poor service). Overall, it was a disappointing lunch at my usual go-to restaurant.
Good food and great prices
Delicious
