Loved it! The staff is outstanding! Highly recommend their chocolate pate to everyone in town!
Tasty food, thoughtfully presented. Small, quirky dining room. Clean bathrooms suggestively decorated! Bizarre and erratic service, but if you're patient, there is a certain charm. Remember Fawlty Towers? The inattentive owner seemed to be tanked and drifted around the room. He told us we could order only wine, even though there was plainly a wall of alcohol bottles. When we finally caught his eye and begged for beer, he offered only one Portuguese beer, even though he had others in the fridge. What a rude and puzzling performance, and yet we found the whole evening pretty entertaining.
The service is warm and friendly. The food is exceptional. Mussels and frites are a must. Each of my family members had great entrées and my vegetarian entrée was delicious. Their surprise Birthday treat was fun and tasteful! Thanks!! I'll be back!
The ambiance at the French restaurant was charming, and we were excited to indulge in some delightful desserts featuring fresh fruit. However, our experience was somewhat tainted as the fruits in our desserts weren't as fresh as we had hoped. The strawberries seemed tired, and the raspberries appeared to be several days old. Despite this hiccup, the overall dining experience was still enjoyable, and we appreciate the effort put into creating such a lovely atmosphere.
We went here for my girlfriends birthday. Iits a cozy place for a romantic diner. Portions were a good size. We left there full. Plenty of parking out front and surrounding area on 4th st. The girlfriend was a happy birthday girl.
We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Fleur de Sel. The portion were way bigger than expected as its a French restaurant the lamb dish was excellant as well as my husband's halibut and our sons ratatouille. The appetizers were excellant as well. We had one in the group allergic to garlic and the chef accommodated the menu to her needs. The waitress was funny and lovely. Highly recommend and make sure you check out the bathrooms.
We happened to be in the city and are glad to have stumbled upon Fleur de Sel. The portions are generous, and our favorite appetizers were the mushrooms and the mussels (both with incredibly flavorful sauces). The entrees were exquisite as well, with the ribeye being my favorite. Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert, but I’m sure that we would’ve enjoyed them if we did.
I would give 3.5. Owner is very friendly and nice but food is just ok. Serving bread is not the best quality, airy texture and dry. Steak was not cooking to our request. We requested rare, came out more than medium. Most worst was the fries. Not sure if it was re-fried. It was stiff. Mussels was fresh, sauce is “tasty” if it wasn’t so salty. Overall still a good experience, owner was friendly.
Bar none the best French restaurant in the city. Their menu outstanding!.
Always a wonderful experience!
Delightful local. Very relaxed dinner of exceptional quality.
Every dish 10/10. Some of the best mussels I ve ever had.
We Love the mussels and the rack of lamb, it was a great dinner highly recommend.
Been here a couple of times, my favourite french restaurant in Calgary.
Please do not believe people who leave negative feedback. This place is just great! There is everything for the French restaurant. Would go there again. Food : 5/5
We have been quite a few times. Meals are substantial, well prepared and well presented. Very typical French service. Not rushed at all. Unlike a lot of other restaurants we frequent. Parking: That area of Calgary has limited parking. Can be an issue.
I ve wanted to try this place for like a decade, and it did not disappoint. Went for my 41st on January 28. Great experience! Even the photos I shared with Parisian friends said it looked local to them. We had a fabulous old French waiter. Felt like I was being served by Serge Gainsbourg, lol.
Fabulous meal! Four of us. Great salads, great orange roughy, scallops,steak.. kind courteous staff. Love the write up s on the walls to washrooms and the candid humour!
I meant to write this sometime ago because the fantastic experience we had at Flor de Sel for the romantic Valentines dinner was superb. It had been several months since we were at the restaurant, and I am pleased to say the food quality is wonderful, service attentive, and pleasant, and the atmosphere is, as always, charming and reminiscent of a beautiful place in France! For those of us, who are looking for a little bit of Europe here in Calgary, we think Fleur de Sel is a quintessential destination!
Excellent
This is where you take the woman you love for a very special occasion, this place has amazing food, ambiance and service.
One of my favorite restaurant for special occasions!
The only food that was good were the frites with the steak au poivre. Steak was almost inedible with a terrible sauce. Onion soup was okay but oddly presented (cheese on toast on the side) and the unexpected. Service was friendly, but inconsistently attentive. Had to get up to fetch salt and pepper. Not worth the very expensive prices.
Fancy French food, its delicious and they are very down to earth peeps
Amazing little French restaurant! Absolutely loved it. Service and atmosphere were fantastic. I went with the pepper steak and a linguini and it was to die for. I will certainly be back this place is awesome! Food
This place is a gem. I come here every year and the food is always on point. Consistant and high quality.
The owner is always drunk and not fun drunk, rude arrogant French man drunk. I hope he s doing okay truly but he should be shut down or at least nice and drunk . He was very rude the bottle of wine we had for the table he was helping himself to it in the back . The food used to be much better . If the service was better maybe it would make up for the overpriced bland food. Sorry Get well
I wish I could rate this higher, the food was amazing and the owner made sure everyone had an amazing time! Will definitely be back soon
Delicious food, nice people. Lots of interesting decorations from France. Bathroom is worth checking out. LOL
The ribeye was incredible. Bravo!
Simply Amazing Food!!!!!!
Delicious Mothers Day dinner. We will be back!
The welcome is not very warm, not a hello when arriving and no words during the service. They even managed to get the order wrong. No, its not good French cuisine and its certainly not good value for money. The 7 small oysters are not worth $27. Not to mention the slice of foie gras presented on a salad leaf and to be enjoyed on industrial baguette bread. The dried wasabi peas that we usually eat as an aperitif have no place on the plate of tuna tataki. In short, if youre looking for a good French restaurant, its not here.
Wonderful experience, we only had time to stop in Calgary for one dinner and were very glad we ended up here. We felt welcomed, received extremely attentive service and the food was fantastic. The mussels were the freshest I ve ever had and all of the food was prepared to perfection. Only wish this was a local spot, we d be regulars!
I think the price is expensive for what you get, the food is ok but i was expecting something better, my friend ordered a crepe, was missing the ice cream inside, I told the guy that was missing and he just put ice cream in a cup, anyway in the end my friend decided to eat just the ice cream because the crepe was not good, honestly the taste was like medications, the service is not the best, first time in my life that I have to ask for more water because they dont even pay attention, in the end I paid $200 and I was very disappointed, I will never come back.
I recently visited this restaurant, and I can confidently say it was an incredible culinary experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing top-notch service. The menu impressed with its variety of dishes, and each one was prepared with exceptional skill. I particularly enjoyed the dishes made from local ingredients, which added authenticity and flavor. The restaurants atmosphere also deserves praise - its cozy and stylish. I will definitely return here, and I highly recommend this restaurant to all food enthusiasts.
Best service
Wonderful food and service. My only complaint is the layout of the tables. The tables are too cramped together. I understand utilizing as much space as possible but it does compromise the atmosphere when youre six inches from another table on both sides and can hear other conversations. Otherwise the food is delicuous and the portions are huge. The service is excellent and very aware. Highly recommend.
Its always a wonderfulj dinning experience. Almost like being in Paris.
The food and the service excellent!! It was out first time and we will come back again.
I haven t been back there for a while because of my business travels and living out of town. But now that I m back in town I will be coming back there all the time. We started with the fish soup, deep rich flavored broth and well balanced as the ultimate fish soup should be. The halibut I had tonight was definitely the best halibut dish I ve ever had in all my world travels. The caper sauce was outstanding!! My friend had the peppercorn steak, which he said was top-notch and one of the best steak meals he s ever had ! This restaurant has only gotten better when I used to visit it on a weekly basis.
Average food. Service was good.
Amazing onion soup, lackluster everything else. The fries were heavy with oil, possibly fried twice, yet still dried out. The steak was a decent cut, but I expected better flavour. The ratatouille ravioli was uninspired, lacking any real depth. Server was excellent. Would give it a second shot, but would try different entres. 3.5 stars.
Oh man. The cassoulet is the way to go. So good. Pricey, but so good
When we first came to this place (pre-COVID), the food was amazing. We went back to this place last weekend and we were quite disappointed. I ordered their rare steak (which is equivalent in terms of price to the steak I had at Vintage) and it came medium. The meat quality was definitely poor and the meat was very tough. For dessert we ordered the profiteroles which came in two...the cost for two small profiteroles was $17 and they werent anything special. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed with my meal at this place. Its too bad as this place was once a little hidden gem.
Love celebrating my birthday here! I love duck but more so I love the Margaret duck here!
An old ship going down. Service is just not there, one young guy doing everything while the owner shuffles about, no mask, playing on his computer and yelling orders. The French onion soup was ok, radioactively hot. The cassoulet, the reason I came was a bowl of beans. None of the taste of melted pork fat/rind. The meats that should have been simmering in the cassoulet for 3+hours were sitting on top. Just grilled. I ate 1/2 and left the lamb chop gristle and meat. No one asked any questions. Creme brulee was great. $80 for lunch. I dont think so.
Very good restaurant! Food was excellent. I had a great convo with Mat who works there. He was very knowledgeable and a skilled worker. Good job Mat! I would recommend this place to a friend for their good food and staff!
Loved the Paris vibe, the delicious food and wine and the lovely server. I ll be back!
Portions could be a little smaller and refined for price range. Loved the vibe and authenticity of some of the French dishes.
A lovely restaurant, great food, with amazing ambiance
I genuinely do not understand how this restaurant (currently) has a 4.6 on Google Reviews. The presentation is great, however, the food is not very good - its over salted and bland. Not to mention, theres simply no value for money. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Very satisfied with our dinner here. Each item we ordered was delicious. My wife felt her ribeye was the best she has ever had. Server was friendly and thoughtful, but accidentally poured water out of cup couple times (he was elderly so we can understand). Will definitely return.
Amazing restaurant. The warm atmosphere, the top service, the presentation of the dishes, the flavors... Its all there! As good French people lacking the flavors of our country, we were served! The starters, main courses and desserts are excellent and very well presented. The waitress present that evening was adorable and attentive. The wine is also very good. I highly recommend, we will come back!
Deliciously French cuisine
What an amazing experience! First off we had no idea where we were going to eat this evening. As we were walking by this restaurant we were stopped by a random man who handed us $200 telling us supper was on him tonight. My wife and I were baffled as he walked away immediately after handing us $200 cash. We are standing in front of this restaurant so we took it as a sign to enjoy the dining there. We couldn t have chosen better. The food was unbelievable. The wine was incredible. And the best part about it was the staff. Our waitress was so attentive and informative. And the chef visited us on multiple occasions to check in on us. We are from Saskatchewan but I can guarantee you that this will be a routine stop every time we re in Calgary from now on.
Mussels were absolutely delicious! service seemed a bit off as previous time had a much better experience.
Very disappointed! Fries were not good ( too cooked but inside it wasn t ) Chicken not well cooked ! Can be very dangerous!!!
Went for my birthday. Really enjoyed it. Had the wasabi encrusted fish which was fantastic. Oil and vinegar at the table was quite deep so hard to dip the bread without getting all oil. Would definitely recommend.
Have a bully breed tied up outside who they tell that anyone walking up that he hates Black maybe move your dog off the street if he has an issue with the colour black sounds very strange as I was able to walk right by your dog with him wanting to lick me and I was wearing all black and am darker skinned (Middle Eastern) I have a silimiar breed and not my first remember not bad dogs BUT bad owners. Removed your dog before it bites someone and gets put down or simply don t have it on a busy street tied to a pole!!!
The delicious food and fantastic service
Thank you for creating happy memories The food was like a work of art and satisfied both the eyes and the mouth (especially the ribeye was crazy...) Not only the food, but the comfortable and friendly service and atmosphere were also great. It was my first visit today, and Im looking forward to trying other menu items
I love Fleur de Sel. It s casual and comfortable hidden gem. It feels like you re in Europe and they don t bother following any of the trends or concepts that you see everywhere else. Great food, great wine, friendly service - it s the best.
Amazing food. Amazing service. Staff were friendly and attentive without being bothersome. Genuine French atmosphere including the soft music and cuisine. The owner is from Marseille so you cant get more genuine than that. They also had Covid safety protocols in place to ensure guest safety. I recommend this restaurant for a truly special and romantic night out. Update Sept 2022. We returned to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The COVID protocols are no longer in place which helped to make the dining experience more pleasant. They served bread along with a bowl containing olive oil and a nice balsamic vinegar for dipping. Very tasty. When the owner learned that my wife was not tolerant of gluten he brought gluten free bread to the table. It was delicious! To ensure that your dining experience remains a happy one please note the following. Parking along 4th Street before 6 PM on a weekday is NOT advised. ByLaw and the tow trucks are out in full force. You may be able to find parking on the side streets. Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free bread.
I just recently ate here food was great no complaints.... I am on weight loss medication so I asked to box up most of my food to go Only thing that was boxed up was the pasta My halibut and veggies were thrown out Kinda disappointed as we spent $200 on our dinner! Not sure Ill be back
Such an amazing experience! It was my first time trying French food and everything was spectacular. They stayed open late for us and we really experienced exemplary service. 5 stars
Best French Cuisine in Calgary
My favourite restaurant in town. The food is incredible. I highly recommend the ahi tuna with wasabi beurre blanc for dinner. This place is a hidden gem in Calgary. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
Such an amazing dining experience. Feels like were in Paris! Excellent music. Delicious Food & super friendly staff!
French bistro with feisty staff and loyal clientele
Absolutely a wonderful experience. We always feel welcome. The food and experience is top drawer. Rob
Very amazing food! Great people Id come back!!
Amazing French food- this will be our go-to. We had the mussel, beef & ahi, the duck, and halibut- all wonderfully cooked. The dishes stood well with take out (they came in foil packages). Great portions, fair price, and truly delicious.
This place had NO idea what it was doing; what it was trying to be; who it was trying to serve; nothing. We booked our reservation for Valentines Day after the recent lifting of covid restrictions, and they had no organization or planning on how to space people and serve them safely. The space is smaller than a mouse hole as it is, and they were overbooking and still allowing people inside, crammed like sardines. Any health inspection by Alberta Health would cause an immediate shutdown; this Im certain of. We didnt even get past drink orders before we walked out. From the extremely limited service we had, we could tell it was horrible. No greeting of customers, no explanation of the state of disarray, not even a Thank you for your patience. Its almost like the spectacle of dining disaster that they created was a norm for them. A place like this cannot continue to exist, and shouldnt try. I usually am a very understanding person and accommodating of exceptional circumstances, but this was an utter joke. My girlfriend and I are currently laughing about it as we dine at another nearby restaurant that saved our Valentines Day.
I love French cuisine and was very excited to try this place but left feeling underwhelmed, overcharged, and dissatisfied. The staff was very nice, but our orders came out incorrect, a few times throughout the night. For example, I asked for no bacon on my scallops which they said they could do but it came with it on the dish, which was no big deal. They offered to correct this, and a few moments later they brought out the same dish, and bacon was still attached to one of them. As my request was not to have bacon at all, it felt very cheap that they just removed it rather than fix the mistake of cooking them together in the first place. Not worth the expensive price tag for the quality of food, definitely wont be returning.
Made a reservation on valentine day and waited to be seated, then waited again after being seated and was asked for drinks and we said we were fine no wine but ready to order but the lady said she only take drinks. We waited for 20 mins and the waiter kept bringing in more people and eventually got crowded during covid. I witness him not removing the table cloth once in used and wiped the crumbs off it and then then set some clean plates on top, the water on all of the table are alrighty filled so you cant tell if they changed it. The lady brought out lemon slice for us but you can tell it was sliced a head of time and dried. 20 mins later no one approached us, we walked down and found something else cheaper and nicer food and the waitress greeted us and checked on us. This place not worth your money or the nice clothing everyone was wearing. Its a joke.
Fleur de Sel is a hidden gem. It is the perfect place for a romantic date!
Fantastic service and fantastic food. It s the closet to France you ll get in Calgary.
Excellent food.
Exquisite!
Gave us a free crème brulée for our anniversary. The food was awesome!
Drove by this brasserie a couple times and went here for the first time last week. It transports me back to Europe; people watching, laid back atmosphere, mouthwatering and delectable cuisine. Apart from the Michelin-quality foods, the service by Colleen is always great. I always feel as though Im given the time and space to enjoy my meal with whoever I am with. I cant recommend this place enough, being someone exhausted with the tomes of individuals and loud cars on 17th Ave. I wish I could give this brasserie 10 stars!
Amazing food and service!
Best Mussels I ve ever had.
Excellent food, wine, and experience!
Very very good food.
Food was good, ordered the steak. Overcooked but still good.
Waste of time.
Food isn t amazing but it s still okay. The service however is amazing. The owner is friendly and helpful and the space itself is really cute.
This is a go to at least once a month, Have never had a bad meal or one that was not at least 9 out of 10, usuallly an 11 or 12. Perfection and unique is the key here. The steaks are pure magic, the mussels one of my go tos anytime. Love the French Onion soup. The service and staff are fantastic. Patrice and crew run a great restaurant, a must visit for anyone. Make a reservation NOW
Quaint Parisian restaurant. Tasty meals, and great chefs. Tables are close together but makes for an intimate atmosphere to share great food memories!
Lovely place with a great atmosphere. Friendly service from the owner and staff. We ordered the recommendations from the owner and the food and wine was excellent. The perfect night out.
The lamb was so soft it was like cutting a marshmallow.
Very expensive food, nice little place, will not visit again, just because its simply expensive
Nice food, pleasant ambiance, small dinning area. Very attentive staff, prices on the high side. Definitely a unique experience, one must try their cuisine.
One of my favourite restaurants in Calgary. Incredibly authentic French food. Service is amazing and you feel like home. So far a hidden gem.
The food is amazing.
Intimate. Great food! Lovely wine and sweet Server Guy!!
The ostrich is a must try! Great food and service!
Truly excellent food and service. The best French bistro in Calgary. Must visit.
Low key French restaurant hidden in plain sight Mission. Staff and food were wonderful. I had the beef tenderloin and the beef was tender and flavourful. Looking forward to trying other items from their menu!
Great food! Prices are comparable to the Keg, Earls, etc, but the quality of food is way better. Love the muscle for appetizer! Service is also good. Must try restaurant in Calgary.
Nice little French restaurant. The steak was very high quality and very nicely seasoned but a little overcooked.
Very quaint location with excellent service and food. The ambiance is very romantic and is a great place for a date. We had a great server who helped us with the menu, described how they cooked certain dishes and was super friendly. Would love to go again.
Fantastic Cassoulet!
Amazing service and chef. Had a birthday dinner here it s a must try if you love French food and are in Calgary.
The owner is very charismatic, always making you feel as if youre dining in Paris. I would recommend to anybody who appreciates French food & culture.
Amazing!!! The Rack of Lamb was on point and cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere and wonderful service. Perfect place to celebrate that special occasion.
My family and I have been coming here for years for dinners out and birthdays. It s always an amazing experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed and fun French decor around you. The food is absolutely incredible and mouth watering. My favourites the scallops - always cooked to perfection and the wild salmon, rack of lamb or my absolute favourite (in the fall/winter season) their boeuf bourguignon! All the desserts are fabulous too - if you have room. Delicious experience every time.
Wow I was disrespected from the minute we walked in the door. Booked my birthday dinner there as Ive been there years ago and loved it. The server didnt even acknowledge us when we walked in even though the place was empty. They just looked us up and down like we were trash. Said immediately that they were busy even though we had a reservation and offered us a seat by the door. I will never book an event there again...Absolutely disgusted!!!!
What a lovely experience. Good food, great service and a perfectly French atmosphere.
Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service. House wine was overpriced... 45$ for a screw cap, sour red wine disappointed me. Oysters, lamb and beef were delicious.
Excellent food, great service, we had a very enjoyable evening with our friends.
Excellent food and experience.
My mothers favorite restaurant. I think it is great too (food, dessert and service). However, I dont like that the server held the baguette with her bare hands to cut it. I strongly prefer that only kitchen staff touch my food, far from menus, payment machines and other customer germ vectors.
A hidden gem in Calgary that one could walk past and not even notice. Amazing food and service. Cozy and intimate. Top spot for a date night.
The menu was Too difficult to read.
I have not tried a French cuisine before, but this place got me hooked to it. The mussels with dijon mustad sauce was fantastic! I will order 5 of those next time. Onion soup was amazing as well, bursting with flavour. The mains were great as well, and the servers were very friendly and attentive. Thank you for the great food and service!
Best French restaurant!
That duck was beautiful
I bring my mistress here very secretive!
Intimate Setting. Very delicious French food and fair pricing. Owner provides attentive service too. Will visit again for sure!
Such a fine and quaint French restaurant - table cloths, linen napkins, great service, nice atmosphere! We arrived on a rather cold night at 6:00 and were offered a choice of seats (near or away from the window). Parking at 6:00 is free and in front of the restaurant! Our Server explained the specials and helped with the main course choice. The Wine was fine and reasonably priced. The Salad the we ordered - Spinach, Pancetta, Goat Cheese and Raspberry Vinaigrette, split between us was very generous and tasted great! We ordered the same main course as the server described it so well; it was to Die for! The Grilled Tenderloins of Ahi Tuna and Beef Bordelaise and the terrific vegetables, done to perfection, remind us of high French Cuisine on our travels in France! We were at Fleur de Sel in December, February 12 and will be back very soon! We highly recommend making reservations as we are certain that people will start to take a big notice to Fleur de Sel, Calgary! Thanks to the great staff!
Amazing French bistro downtown Calgary. Patrice and his staff are great and will do anything to make you feel welcome. It goes without saying that the food is very delicious!!
One of the best dining spots in Calgary. The food is impeccaby delicious, and Patrice, Dale, and the rest of the service staff have always provided exquisite service.
A lovely French bistro near downtown. Amazing attention to food allergies. Patrice is a wonderful host & surprised us with a birthday dessert after overhearing our conversation. Great food, great service, great location!
Authentic french cuisine with amazing reduction sauces, fine meats and yummy desserts. A little on the pricey side but good for a splurge now and then.
We have been patrons of Fleur de Sel for a very long time (20 years) and we have never had a bad meal. Patrice is fantastic and so is his kitchen.
Classic French brasserie in Calgary. For 21 years Patrice Durandeau has served his dedicated customers with authentic French cuisine in an informal relaxed atmosphere.
Fantastic food and amazing service. One of my favorite places!
Great food amazing staff.
I Loved
Excellent, nothing to say. Very warm welcome while being professional, very good food and excellent wine
What an memorable 30th wedding anniversary dinner we will be back very soon
Very good flavor
Never had ostrich. Must say very good and my wife had duck also very good. Dessert so delicious. Will go back again in the near future. Prices are fair for the food. Left satisfied.
Great meal, feels very authentic.
Wonderful French food and service!
A nice little escape from the ordinary Calgary food scene. Unpretentious and very cozy spot, that makes you feel like you made an afternoon escape to Europe. The food is very good and the price is right. The excellent service made us feel at home. Absolutely recommended.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service.
I used to live close to this place, I miss it so badly. My life was taken away from me by a cheating spouse who screwed me over so I no longer live in Calgary anymore. Maybe I will go back!!!!!
Tonights meal was great, Everthing was spot on.
This is a small restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. Service was attentive without being overbearing. The drinks were excellent but it was the food that stole the show for us. The prawns and mussels starters were outstanding, and the main meals kept the high standard. The desserts and coffees wrapped up a fantastic evening. We will certainly be back, it was worth the drive in from Okotoks
Excellent food and atmosphere. Would recommend the mussels as a starter - the sauce was amazing The Cassoulet Grille was very filling and the would recommend having the duck confit add on. Other with me tried the Pepper Steak and Basil Chicken dishes. The Duck Anise was a good portion but the sauce is a very strong anise flavour so maybe not for you if you are on the fence about the flavour of anise.
Home style French dining in a comfortable and rustic atmosphere. Good wine selection, amazing food and friendly staff.
I came in for dinner with a colleague the other night. We happened upon the spot with walking down 4th street. I have been up and down this street many times and eaten at many different restaurants here. This is clearly one of the best. It is very French and the food is wonderful. We started with the scallop appetizer, the scallops were large and perfectly cooked, the accompanying greens and dressing were perfect.
Delicious food. Was here news year day
The food and the services were great. They dont have a kids menu, but they have offered pasta on the house.
Amazing!
Filet mignon was sorely lacking any kind of seasoning, only flavor it had was a burned charcoal taste from the grill. Frites were on the verge of raw in the middle. No idea how they can have such good reviews and not even get basic food like filet and fries right. Very disappointing meal for the price.
Just like home!
Amazing service..amazing menu..what else could you want?!
Sous-vide steak outstanding as was service. House vino needs a little help!
I have been there many times and always had the most awesome experience. The food is to die for and so as the service. Sale and Patrice (owner), always goes out of his way to provide excellence. This is by far my favorite restaurant in Calgary.
Superb restaurant superb presentation great wait staff. I am a fan.
This place has amazing food, however, I think the presentation of the dishes could improve. Nonetheless, Fleur de Sel has a very cosy atmosphere, with hilarious bathrooms. The servers are very welcoming and easy to talk to, whilst also professional. I would highly suggest dropping by.
I felt like I was transported to France when I stepped into this restaurant! The decor is beautiful and the design is like modern France! The food?! SO GOOD! Below is a picture of the mussels in Dijon mustard cream sauce. The tastiest mussels Ive had in Calgary!! I tried bites of other dishes and every morsel of food was delicious! YES, you want to dine here! It is worth every penny!
Got in with no reservation for lunch. Waiter was quit knowledgeable. Wine price was very expensive. Meal was reasonably priced. Service was decent. Food was good
Unfortunately we booked when a large party which took up 2/3 of the restaurant was on so we had to put up with that.
Amazing food and love the owner!!! Quite a character! Wonderful ambiance; nice little kept secret of Calgary!
So tasty!
frickin amazing.
Friendly, knowledgeable, relaxed service and fabulous food! A most enjoyable, relaxed evening. And all at an independent, locally owned restaurant (my favourite!). Not sure why I havent been before, but Ill be back!
had a terrific evening here, had not been in decades. my bad. the steak poivre was great, i asked for green peppercorn sauce and no problem.....really the first time in quite a while where i felt great about a fine dining experience.
Intimate place, good food, pleasant atmosphere
Very authentic! Excellent food!
Delicious food and funny owner
I love this place. The ahi tuna with wasabi bleur blanc is the best thing I have ever tasted. Add to that the pate and creme brulee and its the perfect meal. A unique place with unique people lends itself to an amazing experience every time I go here
What a fun amazing hole in the wall. We show up for lunch. No reso. Owner is there and apologized because a staff member quite and it is just him in kitchen. Serving. Bar. Everything. You would never know. The food was out of this world. The service was great. It was just him but 10 people there for lunch. It was not slow or cold or anything. We will go back. I ve been in calgary for years and never knew this gem existed. Ps... ask why there is a giant disco ball in the rafters. I want to know.
The very best ever !!!!
Quirky and delicious. Generous portions and pours.
The food was okay. Dessert was amazing. Our waiter was horrible he would start to ask how we were or if we had any questions then he would literally run away to help another table. His co-worker took over and she was amazing. But to sit and drink everyones waters and not get a refil the whole diner was slightly redicolulous.
The food was outstanding, and the owner is a hoot! The halibut is to die for.
always treated right
Food was phenomenal. Had the Margaret duck, very nice. Service was also very very nice.
Great ribeye, great sausage and great tuna.
Food was good and wine also. Steak was good, but little bit dark :-)
Fantastic food, fantastic waiter and overall an excellent experience.
The food is delicious and the staff is super. Best waiter in town works here. Great place to bring a date.
