Japanese & Italian mix
My girlfriend and I came here for a quiet date not knowing much about the food or the atmosphere, but that quickly changed when Joshua came to take our order. If you have the time for an amazing experience beyond delicious food, i recommend you ask Joshua for his tea recommendations. His knowledge and expertise coupled with his story telling is absolutely worth coming here for alone. The food was phenomenal, service was professional, vibes were immaculate, and the tea was magnificent. We will certainly be coming here for the amazing food, but to experience Joshua's amazing storytelling and service.
We had a wonderful meal here on a trip to visit our son in Calgary. The fusions were nicely done and kept the best parts of each cuisine. We weren't overwhelmed with strong flavors and were impressed with the subtle touches. We loved that the default eating arrangement was to shares plates. All the dishes were delicious and it would have been a shame to not try them all. We will be back to try the rest of the menu!
We came your restaurant today and I am very disappointed with the lady server. Today is my wife and me anniversary date, so we bring our 2kids together and we hop we can enjoy. First of all is total fine, and i ordered some food(please check attached photo), and I have asked the lady that can the bolognese make no spicy? And the lady said that the sauce is already made, that's I can understand, and the. I asked the lady how about the duck with pasta is spicy or not? The lady said is no spicy, and I have show the photo to ask my son did he like it, my son said yes, so I have ordered it. Finally the foods are arrived and we taste that duck with pasta is very spicy, and our kids can not eat, is too spicy for them, and I have ask the lady that why is so spicy, and the lady haven't any apology, and she said she thought is my wife and me eat, and she said she hasn't said is not spicy, she said it was is not so spicy, that is very terrible, she hasn't admit responsibility, I am very disappointed, and we order other pasta for my kids, we will order dessert for my plan before, but the lady was not so responsibility, after we finished our food and checked the bill and leave. I don't know why the lady like this, if she said is her fault is no problem for us, is totally fine, but she is not, after I said the lady, she is not come to serve for us most, and finally I have gave 15% tips for you, the reason is other server are good, they always come to take care of us
We had a reservation for 8pm but arrived an hour early and they managed to seat us at 7:20pm which was really appreciated. Sometimes it's hard to find good fusion food but the flavours in the dishes here are well balanced and compliment each other, not just randomly slapped together. Everything was cooked and seasoned really well. Prices are also reasonable given the quality and service. Great food, great staff, no complaints!
We visited Carino many years ago when they first opened on Edmonton Trail across the street from Diner Deluxe. Our first visit was a random later in the night visit as it seemed interesting, and we were hungry. From that experience, we would visit occasionally as their brunch fusion cuisine was fantastic. Over time, we drifted, and as the original restaurant closed, Carino escaped our minds. Visiting again recently, we found the dining experience to be as exquisite and amazing as our memories served. The chef does an amazing job pairing his Japanese heritage with his experience with Italian cuisine. Each dish we had had complimentary Italian and Japanese flavors and ingredients. We had the Chicken Karaage, Ahi Tuna Carpaccio, Spicy Mussels Hot Pot with Frites, French Fries with Spicy Mayo, Bucatini with Wagyu Meat Sauce, and Spicy Linguine alla Vongole. We also got the Houjicha Creme Brulee with Seasonal Fruit and Dessert Tasting. The pesto mayo was refreshing and paired deliciously with the crispy chicken nuggets. The Spicy Mussels Hot Pot with Frites was the highlight of the night. The broth was so yummy. The only setback was the frozen coated Costco/Cavendish fries. Had they used handcut housemade fries, this would have been a perfect dish. The pastas were excellent, though they carried mainly italian influences with little to no japanese infusion. We enjoyed both pastas. The Dessert Tasting was excellent and the better of the 2 desserts that we had. Do not skip the dessert tasting, or you're missing out. It's nice to see that Carino is still hitting it out of the park after all these years.
Carino is the cutest Japanese Italian fusion restaurant. Food and service are always 10/10. Well priced and good portions. Not only is our food excellent every time, but the prices are good. Check out the online menu. Lots of great dishes to choose from. And the service - best staff ever. Note: parking on the side streets we can usually find a spot no problem
Our dining experience at Carino was top tier! Stu was our waiter and he was superb. The value they provide in their service and food reflects greatly in how delicious each dish is and the quality of their hospitality. Stu especially took his time thoroughly explaining their specials and the flavours of each dish which we greatly appreciated. I strongly recommend that you go check them out, you will not leave disappointed. We will definitely be back!
If you’ve ever been to a really good Italian/Japanese fusion restaurant in Japan, this place matches it! It’s a shame there’s no place like this even remotely close in Edmonton. Every time I’m visiting in town, this is one my top places to go. The servers are great, and so is the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food here is fantastic.
Only giving it 3 stars because the chicken dumplings that they had on special were amazing. The other dishes are nothing special and the seafood pasta was very plain and had no flavor. The staff were very friendly.
Amazing place. Great atmosphere. Our waitress Catalina was impressive and professional. Will return
Where do I even start! My husband and I came here for the first time to celebrate our three-year anniversary, and I cannot believe we hadn t come here sooner. The ambiance was perfect warm lighting and cosy decor set the stage for a lovely evening! We were greeted by Stu, who is super friendly (and very funny) and he made us feel right at home! We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was absolutely lovely and took the time to chat with us and gave us recommendations for other restaurants as well, as we are new to Calgary. They offer a wide variety of dishes, but we opted for their specials. I ordered the seafood pasta, while my husband chose the wagyu steak. Both dishes were beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. To finish off the evening, we indulged in dessert. The Nutella cheesecake was heavenly light and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, our experience at Carino was exceptional. We left feeling happy, full, and excited to return. If youre looking for a place that combines great food with a lovely atmosphere, Carino is definitely the spot for you!
This is how it should be done. Service was great. It seemed like like they servers were all working together rather than focusing on individual tables. Food came quick and tasted great. I would say it is slightly expensive for some dishes but excellent experience over all.
Incredible food and great service
Came here twice, loved the food and the experience. Especially the servers they were friendly and welcoming.
Reservations are highly recommended. Very busy. Food is outstanding. Service is fast, easy and amazing. Atmosphere is on the loud side when youre there at peak hours but doesnt change the great experience that you will have. You wont be disappointed.
Always a great time. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Had such a fun time here. The servers were very friendly and come at appropriate times to refill our drinks, get our orders, and ask how the food was. I liked how prompt the service was and how well timed each course came out. Food was fantastic - we had the hotpot clam and tuna carpaccio as our appetizers and could have stopped there because we were so full. Both delicious and so filling. I think the carpaccio was my favorite; so well seasoned and light enough that I could keep eating this infinitely! Ordered the curry tonkatsu carbonara (speciality of the day) as well which was also delicious, a tad on the salty side. By the end, we were completely stuffed. Spaces between the tables is a bit tight as a heads up, so not sure how wheelchair accessible it would be
Possibly the best food Ive ever eaten in Calgary. Carino is a must try for tourists and locals. The duck soup made me question if Ive ever had good food before and the service was phenomenal (shout out to Jarrett our server). We also had the momo dumplings which were perfectly seasoned with a thick (but not too thick) dough. Tables are very close together creating a cosy atmosphere, the wine was delicious and the traditional matcha was rich in flavour. All in all, well worth the trip and parking.
My husband and I came here for my birthday on a weeknight, and I was blown away. Everything, from start to finish, was absolutely perfect. The service is top tier. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and truly added to the experience. The food was so good that i ve thought about it every day since, and absolutely will book again to try some of the other menu items. I m vegetarian and there are tons of options, + accommodations for different diets. Get. the. gnocchi. they did it vegetarian with mushrooms, and it was maybe the best gnocchi i ve ever had! On top of everything, the prices are super fair, and the atmosphere is so nice and inviting. Will recommend this restaurant to everyone! Make sure to book your table in advance! They are popular for a reason :) Thank you Carino
Great cozy restaurant for fusion Italian Japanese food. Tonkatsu carbonara is heavy but delicious (had this the last time I went). If youre looking for a lighter dish that is warming for the winter months in Calgary, I recommend the soup noodle dishes they have like the Spicy Duck Nanban soup or the Wagyu Bolognese Miso Ramen. The agedashi mozzarella is a delicious appetizer to share among the whole table too (we were a group of 5), but just keep in mind its not very filling, so if you have a larger group to order 2 to 3 appetizers to share. Their dessert tasting item is very worth it (and at a good price too) great for two people and has a few different components and flavours to the dish which makes it a fun way to end the meal.
Some great ideas and intriguing combinations at this fusion restaurant, Wagyu bucatini was delicious. Book in advance its a small but busy place. Friendly service and food came quickly. Definitely a place for more adventurous eaters though.
Updating my review: This my favorite place to reccomend/take people to in Calgary...and seemingly everyone elses! Make sure to grab a reservation. Gyozanga is still amazing everytime.
Came here for dinner. Tried the pork carbonaro (daily special not on menu), Gyozagna, and Momos. The Gyozagna was very good. It was really a lasagna that was made with dumplings. It had wagu meat sauce. Really good. I would highly recommend it. The pork carbonara was a daily special. It is not on the menu but was so flavorful. It had a hint of spice in it. The pork loin was really cooked well. The Momos were good. We tried the BBC chicken and vegetable ones. I personally liked the vegetable ones as I felt they had more flavour and had more spice to them. Both are really good. We tried the solo sake flight. Really good way to get into sake. The service was excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. Only thing is it did get warm in the restaurant. I would recommend wearing lighter clothes. For guys I would recommend a short sleeve shirt or polo shirt. Will definitely be back again!
The *most* delicious ramen you will ever have.
Came for my wife s birthday, it was our first time here and we were not disappointed. Great food and service! We will 100% be returning.
Carino is a strong contender for one of the best restaurants in Calgary. The service and food here are all top quality. The tonkatsu carbonara is by far my favorite dish to date but every dish tastes extremely delicious from the appetizers to the dessert. This is a must try restaurant in Calgary!
Great spot, good food and the best service I ve experienced in years!! Very tight space but amazing Nutella cheesecake!
One of the best dining experiences in Calgary! We visited on a Friday evening and loved the cozy, intimate setting of this Japanese-Italian fusion spot. We started with the sushi tacos and enjoyed the unique flavours in each one, especially the Ahi Tuna Poke, where the fresh, high-quality fish stood out. For our mains, we had the Tonkatsu Carbonara, and it was exceptional. The noodles paired beautifully with the curry sauce, and the tender, marbled meat added a rich depth to the dish. We also had the Spicy Wagyu Bolognese Miso Ramen, and the broth was flavorful. For dessert, we opted for the tasting platter. It had the Japanese Black Sesame Tiramisu with Azuki Bean Paste with delicate flavours that worked amazingly well together, the moist and rich Chocolate Chiffon Cake, and a refreshing Yuzu Gelee. Our entire experience was enhanced by their Tea Sommelier, Josh, who prepared a unique blend of Hojicha tea with orange. It was the ideal pairing for the meal. Would return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique fusion dining experience!
You probably will need to reserve a table since it s getting very packed around 6/630 dinner time. Tables are really packed together, not much spaces between one party and the other! Momos Nepalese dumplings were good as an appetizer but not top of the world. Tonkatsu curry carbonara were good as well. It s truly a fusion dish from Japan and Italy. But their tonkatsu didn t have the same level of crunchiness as most of the Calgary Japanese restaurants but acceptably good overall. Seafood pasta had a great taste as well but smaller portions size than I expected. We ended the night with the matcha parfait which was very delicious! I can tell the chef had put a lot of thought and effort in it! Every ingredient in the parfait had really good textures and was really tasty and well made!
Really good 1st visit. Service was informative & fun. We were all v impressed with our meals & no complaints! the Tonkatsu Carbonara & the Japanese Parfait Food : 5/5
I don t know where to start, this place was amazing. The service and all the staff are amazing, Josh especially made this whole night an excellent experience with his knowledge of teas, his stories, and games. His expertise in tea was astounding and the teas we drank were great. The food was amazing also the wagu steak was phenomenal and the desserts were all tasty. Highly recommend this place, you won t regret it!
This is such a Calgary gem. The food is always out of this world amazing. Seriously it will blow your mind. To top that off the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and they always make sure you have an incredible experience. Easily one of Calgarys best restaurants and great value for the quality of food being served!!
Went about a month ago, and all I can say is wow ! 12/10. Food was amazing, and service was excellent. Unfortunately did not catch our servers name (male, taller, blonde hair in a pony tail), but near the end of our meal, he apologized for his service and said it could have been better. Though it was busy, my boyfriend and I completely disagreed ! He was very attentive, respectful, kind and knowledgeable. Have and would continue to recommend Carino !
My favourite restaurant in Calgary everything is cooked to perfection and so flavourful!
Always a great experience - Carino is one of the best restaurants in town
Great flavour and service.
Waitress was super sweet and friendly, took the time to recommend options and accommodated changes we requested. The food is amazing! Fusion between two of my favorite cuisine and did not disappoint. It s so unique I can t wait to come back and eat here again!
Had an amazing meal with a friend the other night. Tried the special katsu curry carbonara, which was delicious. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and helped us pick out a bottle of sake and shared some knowledge about sake. Wod highly recommend
Everything was delicious, one of the best meals I have ever had
Carino is an intimate and wonderful place to take a date. The momos are beyond excellent, and the spicy duck nanban soup will take your tastebuds to heaven. The meals here are more filling than you would think by looks. They also have a great drinks menu, my personal favorite was the Japanese beer. Kid-friendliness: There was a super cute kid, he kept making eyes at my wife ;)
Food is always exceptional. Service always A++. Will definitely return. Again.
Japanese Italian restaurant. The place is small. Filled up in 10mins for lunch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
All the food was amazing. Staff were friendly. Gonna return to try some other dishes.
Exceptional! Everything was great, will be back for the ramen next time.
Ramen and pasta? My two favorite noodle types? At the same place ?! This place is absolutely delicious.
I have been chasing udons as good as those I had in Japan. They are here!! The Katsu Carbonara deserves the hype. Katsu could have been even a little bit crispier on the outside, but the flavour was there and the meat was cooked perfectly. Sauce not too salty which was great. It was so good when we went for lunch (for ramen); we came back the day after for dinner. I also usually don t care about service and reviews that say « service is good » as all I care about is whether the food is good, but I actually really appreciated the great service, aha! 5 stars !!!
The food is incredible, and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is great too, just really loud when it s completely full.
This restaurant is the best thing to happen to the mission area in a long time. It mingles, the flavours of Italy and Japan perfectly. Every dish I ve had is good and I ve been there five times now. Unfortunately they are quite a small restaurant and it s hard to get a group of over four in. Which limits accessibility for families or groups to enjoy this wonderful food. Somehow they managed to do it with reasonable prices and good attentive service. You will not be sorry you went here.
Team service model. Every server was unbelievably engaging, prompt and knowledgeable. Veggie pasta and dumplings were great! Oh and the tea?? Get the tea.
Brilliant experience. Unparalleled, incredibly unique food, delightful staff, chill environment. Absolutely outstanding.
This is one of my favourite restaurants of all time. I need to come back and eat everything on the menu. All 4 of us got the katsu carbonara and it was absolutely fire. The curry katsu and the peppered carbonara were delicious on their own but the union of the flavours was absolutely sublime. The tuna tartare was basically just sashimi but it was still good. The mozzarella agedashi was really tasty. Houjicha brulée was pretty good but probably not worth it.
Amazing food, good service, and very unique dishes
First time here and everything was top notch. The food was amazing (highly recommend the rose pasta) and the service was phenomenal. Will be back again for sure
Fantastic experience, from the food to the service. The food was insanely delicious - come on an empty stomach because it s heavy (in the best way possible!!) we had the Momos, Katsu Carbonara, and the Lamb, Lamb, Lamb and were quite full with 3 diners! But beyond the food is the awesome service! The wait staff are lovely and the tea sommelier is awesome!! Don t skip out on the tea with your dessert if you want a special experience - honestly his passion for tea was pretty inspiring. 10/10 - one of my new favourites in Calgary! Can t wait to come back and try more of their delicious foods!
A very pleasant and quaint dining experience with the most polite and charming service. We got a seasonal special and it was fantastic! We will be back again when the weather isnt as hot to enjoy the open windows to mission and the ambience once more!
I think the idea is there and has potential, I just personally wasn t impressed enough to want to go back. Duck and Katsu was under seasoned. Carpaccio was totally overwhelmed with too much store bought Parm/Grana petals. Pasta was good! Dessert was good! The concept is there, but I was not blown away by the food. I thought it was decent but nothing I couldn t have had at home. Just an honest opinion. I know Carino reads their negative reviews and challenges their customers or just replies with stupid emojis. Kind of immature but whatever, this is my 2 cents. The best part of the meal though was the homemade pocky, that was amazing! Servers were great and attentive. However, I do want to add that we were given a great opportunity to learn about black tea and kind of got ripped off near the end. We were convinced to get a great black tea, so of course we got it with dessert. We were told it would be a mind blowing experience. I mean, it was good and a lovely complement but the only mind blowing thing was the price. $25 for what was no more than 300 mL of tea. Anyways, overall it was fun trying Carino but not convinced to go back.
I got the Duck Katsu Carbonara. It was delicious but overpriced.
Carino doesnt disappoint. Top tier service combined with delicious foods that bring together the best elements of Japanese and Italian cuisine with a sprinkling of other influences. Portions are a good size and everything we tried was great. The only drawback is with the high ceilings it can get loud during the main dinner service. Definitely will be back to systematic eat our way through the menu and leave no dish untried!
Absolutely wonderful as always. This is our second time at Carino and it was fantastic. We took an out of town guest and thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. Having the tea pairing was new and fun. I always appreciate the time they spend with the guests. The food was to die for again. We started with the momos, and shared the seafood pasta, gyozanya and tonkatsu carbonara. Although it was all delicious I have to get the gyozanya and carbonara every time we come as they are just too good. We also have tried the mussels and fries, and that was fantastic as well. We have told many friends about the spot and have had many come try, all with raving reviews. Definitely one of our favourites!
I am a longtime fan of Carino. The fusion of Italian and Japanese cuisine is popular in Japan, and for good reason. I have had many meals here and they are always delicious. Standouts for me are the Duck Duck and the Tonkatsu Tsukemen. Service is friendly and welcoming.
Amazing variety of ramen during the lunch time. Surprised that people arent lined up out the door to eat here (during lunch). Been here numerous times for their dinner set menus/lunch. Never had a bad experience, great job Toshi! Update, with photos, the restaurant is still as good as ever.
One of my favorite restaurants in Calgary. The service is exemplary, and the food is amazing (it s Japanese Italian so I mean does it get any better?!). I ve been multiple times, and almost every time, I have them make me a martini off the menu - and every time, they are so good! I highly recommend Carino!
Me and my partner came to try this place out not realizing its a small restaurant that usually caters to reservations. Waitress said she can sit us at the bar because there was a free table in about 15-20 mins that we agreed to. We looked at the menu as a waitor entertained us as we waited. First time coming here I wasnt sure how the food would be since its a fusion of 2 completely different types of ethnic foods. BUT BOY OH BOY WE WERE SURPRIZED. We BOTH agreed this was the BEST food in calgary and we both have lived here all our lives. How in the hell they make this mix work IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!?! 120% best place and we will always make reservations here for special events now knowing how amazing everything is here! how they have created these incredible dishes I have no idea but STUNNING!! cute location, amazing staff, insane food
Awesome restaurant. No AC and the flies were annoying The waygu ramen was so good!
Our favorite go to restraunt in all of calagry. The menu never changes and it doesnt have to , quality of food and service is always 100 percent,
The best food I have eaten from calgary (from an edmontonian)! Food was amazing, the owner was so kind and the service and atmosphere match the vibes! Highly recommend!
A great experience always brought friends from out of town to visit and they also enjoyed the overall experience
EAT AT THIS PLACE!
Wow... Great good, unbelievable service and a cool environment. Whats not to love? We even got squeezed in at the bar when we didnt have a reso and while it was packed otherwise. Bravo!
If you re looking for a classier date night, this is the place to go! The food, the service, the atmosphere, absolutely phenomenal. The fusion between both Japanese and Italian cuisine was not something I expected to enjoy as much as I did but my experience was more than delightful. I highly recommend the Katsu Carbonara, everything I ve ordered before has always been top notch but that Katsu js my personal favourite from the entire menu. The service here is as friendly as it can be. The conversations and short but genuine and the servers happen to appear right when we need them and they always come by with a smile. Definitely dress up a little as this place has a slight dress code, you ll certainly feel a little out of place otherwise (speaking from experience). Will certainly be back again.
Friendly staffs
First timers and we were amazed from start to finish. Friendly greeting and accommodating seating for such a small room. In what seemed like 30 seconds we had the coldest glasses of Prosecco to sip on while we decided what to order. Knowledgeable staff with welcoming and entertaining conversation. Everyone had a sense of pride, and we soon found out why. We had the Momo dumplings followed by the Agedshi mozzarella & tonkatsu curry. Team service with everyone focusing on customer service as priority number 1, however Stu knocked it out of the park for us. As if we were old pals who hadnt seen each other but like not time had passed. Shockingly affordable prices for the quality we received. Big servings and we left well fed. As Stu quipped we have to keep our Nonnas proud Hats off to this place, we look forward to visiting regularly.
I thought that is a fine dining restaurant, but using a QR code on your phone to look up the menu doesnt scream fine dining for me. It is tacky. Food was pretty good though. Service was pretty good, but 3 different servers came by our table pestering us to order our food. Fine dining for me is about taking the time to enjoy the food and the company sitting across from you.
Delicious food. I tried one of the specials that seemed very popular: the tonkatsu curry carbonara; a very interesting and tasty combination, definitely worth the $30. We also had the pan-seared scallops; we found the name to be somewhat misleading, since its actually a risotto with just three scallops. Nevertheless, it was quite flavorful, although a little steep for $35. We also had some focaccia with pesto; it was $4, but it was very good. The portions are quite generous. Paying $35 per person to walk out stuffed with delicious food is a pretty good deal to me.
Food was pretty good and the service was great. Would visit again if ever in Calgary
The duck was great!
We ate at Carino for my sister s birthday. The food was absolutely amazing. Great service from Stu as well. One of the better Calgary restaurants around by far. Quality place.
I think the fusion of Italian and Japanese is great. But if we threw German into the mix, it would be explosive. Great service by the way!
Amazing! Everything we had was top notch (but maybe especially the gyozagna). Kid-friendliness: Staff were very accommodating to the toddler in our party. There wasnt really a kids menu but appetizers (and stealing from moms plate!) worked great Food : 5/5 |
One of the best restaurant experiences I ve ever had. Every staff working there provided the perfect dining atmosphere and treated us with so much care (shoutout to Mr. Stu for his funny stories). I got the Spicy Mussel Hotpot with Frites and it was amazing: portion, spice level, flavor, everything! If I lived in this area, I would for sure go broke. 100/10
Seafood pasta was really good. The ingredients felt very fresh and all worked together really well. I could tell they put a lot of thought when designing their dish. The ton katsu with pasta was a little heavy for me but the flavours were still really good and the combination was interesting (in a good way). Servers were great overall as well.
Very creative and delicious food. The momo appetizer was amazing. Same with the tonkatsu carbonara. But the wagyu ragu bucatini dish and the pesto flatbread side dish left more to be desired.
The food and service here are exquisite. I can t say enough good things or recommend this highly enough. We tried 3 things, 2 were specials so I don t know if you will have the pleasure of ordering them. The momos were absolutely delightful- and we are momo fans that didn t think we could do better than Pathway Burgers and Momos (which is superb as well if you re looking). These were incredible and we learned that the person cooking momos here taught the pathway people how to make momos! Don t know if it s true but it s a fun idea anyway. The gyozagna was lovely and our excellent server Josh gave us a heads up on what to expect - if you re curious - the experience is lasagna but don t expect lasagna, expect gyoza. Josh also told us a wonderful story to give us a vivid mental picture of the smell the wine we chose - I won t spoil it for you. Finally, we decided to go with dessert as well and both were gorgeous. The green tea crème brule was delicious, and the strawberry themed parfait had a STELLAR in house made pocky, a macaron, strawberry yuzu ice cream and more! So pretty TLDR: This is excellent, everything about it is excellent. You should eat here.
It s a cute little restaurant with an interesting menu. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. I had the Spicy Linguine alla Vongole, which I will definitely order again, and my daughter had the Ricotta Gnocchi with Prawns and Pesto which she thoroughly enjoyed. The servers seem to work as a team rather than having a dedicated server per table which meant there was always someone readily available to assist. Every server was friendly and one was quite charming and made you laugh. Our first time here and will be back!
Incredible service. Real professionals. Food pairing with wine was perfect. Tea sommelier helped with dessert. My wife and I go here for special occasions now.
My husband and I had the momos for our appetizers and the tonkatsu curry carbonara and seafood spaghetti aglio e olio as our mains. The food was beyond phenomenal. Every dish was flavourful and ingredients fresh and high quality. Ive had a lot of Japanese and Italian in my life and theyve mastered the flavours and concept of both cuisines while marrying them perfectly. The servers, Stew and Josh, and a few others weve spoken with were friendly and knowledgeable and you can tell they love what they do. All in all I would highly recommend this place. Probably our new favourite spot in Calgary.
Very comfy environment, and the food is tasty. 10/10 would go here again
Smells great the moment you walk in, plus everyone always greeted in the most warm and welcoming way. Service here is top notch. Attentive, without overbearing, sincere and friendly. Small wine list but has all you need to pair with your great meal. Prices very reasonable for the quality. Been here a few times and recommend!
Its delicious, the people who serve there are fantastic, very friendly and they definitely make you feel at ease. I had passed by there many times until I was able to visit the place and it is 100% likely that I will go many more times
Carino had a really interesting fusion of Italian and Japanese flavors and styles. The service was excellent! I had the Duck Nanban Soup with Udon, and the broth was delicious and the duck just melted in my mouth. Great spot to eat at!
Had one of the best dining experience with my family, everything from the food to service was exceptional!
Came here for a cute little date with my boyfriend and we were both blown away by how good the food was! The Ahi Tuna Carpaccio was definitely the star of the show. The ambience here is very cozy, the service was incredibly friendly and our server was so kind and attentive. Everything we ordered was flavourful and it was hard to pick a favourite of the night.
Fantastic combination of Japanese and Italian cuisine, and superb service!
Although the photos look nice, to be honest, the taste is average, but the service is excellent.
Amazing service. Amazing food. Josh was great and went above and beyond. A Calgary must go.
Its been awhile since Ive felt compelled to write a review, but its also been awhile since Ive had such an outstanding dining experience. The staff go above and beyond and are so warm and welcoming. The food was rich, perfectly cooked, or as I put it so eloquently, like god just kissed me on the mouth. Highly recommend having Josh, their incredible tea sommelier, select teas to accompany your meal. Not only was it the best cup of tea Ive ever had, but Joshs knowledge and passion for his work elevated our already perfect experience to something so unique, fun, and interesting at the same time. Will be highly recommending this place to anyone, cant wait to come back again... and again, and again.
Pricey but delicious. I can why this place gets lined up
Seems lot people got this combo lately. Seafood pasta is good but not superb, tonkatsu is bit over cooked so a bit hard to bite. Service was great so is the place. Will give it another try in the future and try some of their other offerings.
Everyones photos always look great online, but everything actually tasted amazing!
Irregular rest hour.
Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options. Food
Amazing food, amazing service. One thing you ll notice right away is the value they provide in the food and the service. The amount of details, labour and commitment that goes into the food in making things from scratch is insane. You ll experience fine dining level of food without the complications that comes with it. The service was impeccable. You don t have to call your own server. You ll never get the I ll go get your waiter/waitress for you . Stew and the other staff are all extremely friendly and attentive. One of my favourite places to dine in Calgary.
Incredible food. So much flavour and a quaint atmosphere in the restaurant overall. A must-try!! Kale noodle salad and momos were my favourites.
If I could give 4.5 stars I would! A brilliant experience, really cool food, very attentive service. The agedashi mozzarella and the ramen we had were both amazing, the duck dish just disappointed, and it was the most expensive one. Duck was a bit overcooked, and the penne, besides being mildly spicy, wasn t particularly flavourful. Would certainly go back and have more of the noodle/broth dishes!
Everything was good, no one single dish that aren t! Service was excellent, have to mention the music they play was awesome too
Nice serving! The Italian and Japanese fusion food is always fantastic. Another world. Chefs kisss
Its insane how well it tastes. Gyosanga? Yum!
Amazing food. I loved the scallop risotto with strong flavor of truffle.
This is a phenomenal restaurant and a true representation of Calgarys top eateries! It pulls off a one of a kind Japanese-Italian fusion experience that is a must try. From the food to the decor, this place holds true to its vision. Our food was out of this world and came in hefty portions, providing lunch the following day. Everything was cooked perfect, the pasta was on another level, and the balance of flavours was clearly the creation of an experienced chef. They also have a great wine selection that pairs well with their various dishes. The server was great and had wonderful recommendations. Personally, I really enjoyed the momos! Overall, if youre looking for an intimate and unique dining experience, this is a great choice!
Food didn t quite live up to expectations. Maybe hyped it up in our heads before going, but there is definitely better in Calgary.
When people talk about hidden gems this is exactly what they mean! This is a beautiful Japanese Italian fusion restaurant and every dish is carefully crafted. From the moment we walked in we were treated with the best service and food weve had in a long time. Its a small restaurant but theyre popular and book up fast- for good reason. To start we had spicy tuna tartare on housemade chips, and karaage chicken with pesto dip- the dip paired surprisingly well with the deliciously seasoned karaage chicken, made with tender chicken thigh. Both were also good portion sizes for apps. For mains, we had spicy Wagyu bolognese ramen and the Duck Duck Duck dish (duck served 2 ways with penne pasta). The duck was delicious, tender and well cooked but the star was the Wagyu bolognese ramen- such a unique combination but this was hands down the best ramen Ive had in a long time! Such a rich savoury broth with tender Wagyu bolognese. It was also a huge portion sizes bowl so we of course had leftovers. Unfortunately we didnt have room for dessert but well def try them next time!
Food portions are small for the price, tastes great though! Great experience here with the servers.
Pleasant experience. Super friendly staff, and good food. We tried their daily specials, which were steak lobster pasta and seafood pasta. The steak was great
The ambiance and coziness of Carino initially draws you in, as you feel like you are entering a slightly large dinning room for a family. The staff makes you feel like family - and not the kind of family you dont want to see, but like your beloved grandmother who is going to make sure you enjoy yourself. The food is incredible. I fancy myself a decent cook and seldom do I find restaurants that serve food for less than $50 a plate this impressive. Their menu is a bit pricier than an Olive Garden or an East Side Marios, but not by a lot and the quality is incomparable. My only regret is that I didnt learn about this place sooner. I am definitely coming back.
Usually I hate Japanese curry, but this curry tasted just like japan (which is absolutely delicious). No other restaurant Ive been to outside of Japan tasted this good! The wagyu bolognese ramen was very unique but good. Karage was so light and cripsy. Delicious. Dessert flight was tasty too, the black sesame tiramisu was the favourite.
Absolutely fabulous food. I wasnt sure about the fusion concept beforehand, but it all works so well in practice.
Great food.
Make a reservation for dinner, it gets busy. Had the spicy tomato ramen. Very delicious and not super spicy. Food : 5/5
The food was SUPERB. Ive been craving for some italian pasta, and found this place. Everything was perfect, Dan and Stu were wonderful. Definitely get the pork tontaktsu carbonara pasta!
Decent Japanese/Italian joint. Ambience and service was good. Ordered the sushi tacos, gyoza lasagna, and duck pasta. Overall everything was tasty, the sushi tacos were probably the best items of the night. $30 for gyoza topped with meat sauce and cheese is a little wild but it was decent. Ive always wanted to try their ramen so Ill return one day to give it a try.
LOVED everything about Corino the food was amazing!! Josh and the rest of the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. We are booked ti go again in a couple of weeks.
Carino was amazing, they seamlessly blend the textures and flavours of Japanese cuisine with the savory comfort of Italian food and its just the best. Plus the service was friendly, attentive, and really just made the whole experience perfect!
First off, the two older gentlemen servers are FANTASTIC. The definition of spectacular service without being too intrusive. Our server gave us great details about the menu and sold us on the specials. Very friendly and warm service. The atmosphere feels bistro style and is warm and inviting. Not a huge space though so come with a date, not a party. Music was the perfect volume with a great soundtrack. My husband and I shared the sushi tacos 7 ways and ordered two specials du jour: Nepalese momos and curry Katsu carbonara. Every single dish was a hit! Flavours were all there, with quick service and change of cutlery and plates throughout the meal. Curry Katsu carbonara was our favourite. Big thick slice of Katsu and the curry was peppery, so a bit different than regular Japanese curry, but this made it taste like gravy, yum! For dessert we had the basque cheesecake since we dont see it often on other menus. Do not skip this part of the meal. Came with homemade strawberry Pocky. The cheesecake was the perfect blend of caramelized and soft cheesecake flavours. We will be back!
My favourite spot in Calgary. The service is amazing, truly an experience (Josh is the best!) and the food...Im getting hungry as I type this, haha. Definitely worth a visit (or multiple, haha).
Amazing food, exceptional service. Definitely one of the best fine-dining experiences in Calgary. They very kindly found a spot for us walking in but I would recommend making a reservation. Dietary restrictions: Safe for peanut allergies
Food was very unique and delicious. Staff was friendly
We were 4 of us and we shared all the foods ; momos - chicken as well as veggie were average; tacos were delicious; main course was exceptional- the pork curry special , the lamb 3 ways and Tuna tartare. The Vongolle was average .
This place is a must. We had: Antipasti: Spicy Veggie Momos (Dumplings) and Ciabatta Bread Mains: Ricotta Gnocchi with Prawns and Pesto and Gf got the tartar very good Dessert: Japanese Black Sesame Tiramisu Will be back there for sure!
Fantastic experience at Carino! The service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend trying the tonkotsu carbonara! The ambiance is charming, and the acoustics were perfect.
The quality of the collaboration between Japanese and Italian food is very high. Not only the food but also the interior of the restaurant is harmonious and very clean and modern. Although I enjoyed the lunch menu this time, I would like to try the dinner menu next time.
Went to try Carino. The food was very unique and tasty. We had the Ramen, gyoza, and duck with foie gras . Food was good, but was a little bit over sauced for my taste. Service was good.
Food is good, server is friendly
Two of my absolute favorite cuisines in the world combined feels like a match made in heaven and it really was. Had the most lovely dinner date here thanks to our server who was nothing short of friendly, funny and fantastic. You can tell the food is going to be good from the atmosphere alone. We ordered their sushi taco three ways, the bucatini with wagyu meat sauce, and a miso-based seafood pasta that was on special that day (this was ages ago I really cant remember). Everything was soooo freaking good, bursting with a unique combination of flavors and very high quality meat. In the past, I once tried their gyozagna through delivery and wasnt too impressed with how greasy it was but this visit changed any questionable impression I may have had and Ill definitely be back to try the rest of their menu once the budget allows it hahah. P.S. Excuse the extremely low quality photos, I think I was a little too excited to eat lol
Absolutely amazing. My wife s friend who is a surgeon recommended Carino as a cute date night. Amazing staff, amazing food, and such a cute atmosphere. 10/10 will come again!!
Just got out of one of the best meals and experiences I ve ever had. I wish I could know the all the names to give each one a shoutout. Our servers were absolutely amazing and even made superb suggestions that completely changed our experience - for the better! We re already looking forward to coming back very soon! Oh my God, my diet
amazing food and services!! It was my first time to this restaurant, but they were very kind and explained Menu really well! I love all the recommend Menu and sooooo delicious! It was really friendly and the food was delicious. The food tasted amazing without being too spicy, and the professional service was very good.
We have been here now for dinner and lunch! Would highly recommend going for either meal! Both have amazing menus. For lunch we had the Hakata Tonkotsu Red & Black Ramen and the Tagliatelle with Rose Sauce. Both dishes were unreal!! Some of the best Ramen in Calgary!
One of the best culinary experience that me and my husband have had! We got the 5ways sushi tacos, gnocchi, seafood pasta and the matcha crème brûlée. Everything we had was incredible! We also experience Pablo s tea experience and that was the cherry on top. Definitely will be coming back!!
Very interesting concept, which I never thought I would have liked and it turned out to be amazing. We tried 4 different dishes and they were all delicious. We started with a mix of Veggie and Chicken dumplings, followed by the Gyozagna, the truffles buccatinni, and the gnocchis with prawns. We also tried the desert tasting dish, which was very unique and we truly enjoyed it. Service was excellent, and overall experience fantastic. I would highly recommend this place.
We popped in here while walking in the neighborhood. got a table right away and had an amazing lunch! would definitely recommend the Miso ramen and the chicken momo ! We will be back :)
Servers were really kind. Food here is 100% delicious and we would highly recommend if you like both Japanese and Italian foods. Their food has rich flavor. Well definitely come back!! Food
I love Japanese and Italian food. So, a fusion restaurant like Carino is a blessing. Great food with great service. If you are looking for a place to go for a nice dinner out, Id recommend checking it out.
Had an amazing experience! Couldn t recommend more!! The server was amazing, the food was amazing, the food was hot, the suggestions from the server when I wasn t sure what to order were amazing! Just all around the best experience I ve had in years in a Calgary restaurant.
You have to have the fettuccine carbonara and tonkatsu curry. Im not being hyperbolic when I say its the best thing Ive eaten this year. The staff were great too! Dietary restrictions: They did a fantastic job accommodating my lactose intolerance.
First time here, celebrating my sons 21th birthday and this was his choice of restaurant. I greeted as soon as we entered by Josh and led to our table. Carinos is a charming little place. The menu is not extensive but it was detailed, and I can tell the dishes are chosen with love and care. Josh was an excellent server and was attentive to our needs regaling us with the tale of Macha tea.
Loved the food and great service!
One word : EXCELLENT!! Mikki was awesome food was fantastic atmosphere was ambient , perfect place for a anniversary or celebrating a event Food : 5/5
Fantastic food, very nice interior, and the server was helpful and super nice. Will definitely be returning to try everything on the menu. I recommend the momo s, thought I m not sure you can go wrong with anything on the menu
Good food? Yes Good service? Yes Good dining experience? Not so much The five of us picked a nicer restaurant to celebrate two girlfriends birthdays. I called the day before to ask about their cake policy and they told me its $2 per person. But when we checked in for our reservation at 5:30pm, the two waitresses at the front told me Ive got the wrong information (yeah from your staff), and instead of fixing their mistake, they just shook their heads and insisted they would charge $25 total if we had the cake there. So we gave up our plan, sat down and ordered two appetizers and three main dishes. The two appetizers came at a normal speed, but then all the main dishes came at once before we even had time to finish the appetizers. The moment after we finished our last bite at around 7:05pm, the servers just cleaned up all our plates and cutleries without offering us the option for desserts (yeah we do have the cake but we couldnt eat it there). Our server was nice and told us that we didnt need to rush, but they had another reservation at 730 for our table. We werent told about the time limit when we made our reservation the day before or when they checked us in. I know its a popular restaurant with good food and service, so I really hope that they can improve on these details, I just dont want a nice local restaurant turning into a restaurant that only cares about table turnover.
Truly incredible food and service. A meal I will remember for a long time. Josh, the tea sommelier, was the sweetest and most knowledgeable human and made our experience stellar. It was a little cramped in there is my only qualm.
Must go restaurant in Calgary. The food got better with every dish we were served. Everything was so delicious and unique. We ve never had such combination in flavour and it was a very pleasant experience so taste how well two different cuisines blended together. The service was excellent! All the servers clearly were passionate about the restaurant and about the food they served! Overall had an amazing experience and everyone in my party agreed we needed to come back to try more items on the menu!
Funny enough, last time I visited this exact address, it was Suzette s! Carino was awesome. So delicious. They nailed everything. I also really enjoyed how all the staff were there to ensure you were taken care of. A cohesive concerted group effort, to a successful dining experience.
Unique menu, excellent service... Extensive tea selection PL Food
The food was delicious and the service was nice. But we were told when we sat down that we only had 2 hours for the table. We were not aware of the time limit when making our reso, and for 7 people celebrating 2 birthdays, it felt quite rushed. No time for dessert or coffee, we would have probably ordered more wine too. They rushed us out and that put a bit of a damper on the experience for sure. Is a great place for a smaller group but probably wouldn t come again with the whole family.
The tonkatsu carbonara... Need I say more?
Delicious food and friendly staff! The cuisine is quite unique and the atmosphere is cozy inside. Food
The gyozagna is maybe one of the best pasta meals Ive ever had.
Staff were great in accommodating my friends allergies. Food was incredible.
One of the best places I ve ever eaten in Calgary. The staff is incredibly friendly, making the visit even more enjoyable. Food
Great place, specifically for a tea tastings. The sommelier, Josh is an incredible story teller as he explains the tea he is about to serve and helps selecting, depending on your meal. The appetizers here are excellent. Main dishes however are pretty average. They do have GF pasta options with is always a plus. Dietary restrictions: GF
Our first time here. The waiters are the best interpretation of the word passionate. Lovely service and the quality of service and food matches the price. We will definitely be back.
If you have a chance, go for some tea with the meal.
Best duck I have ever had! Incredible food. Would highly recommend.
Always a great place to be!! Food is delicious and service phenomenal! Sushi tacos, seafood pasta (its a dinner special sometimes they might not have) and the duck duck! Is amazing!! Oh and the desserts!! They offer a tasting dessert menu which gives you 2-3 desserts to try! Definitely recommend making a reso as its always packed! Parking: Street parking could be busy after 6
It s a small restaurant but the food is yummy. My fave is the spicy udon duck soup (you have a choice of udon noodles or gnocchi). It just hits the right spot. The crème brûlée was weird but I ll confess I ate almost all of it. Too bad they no longer pick up the phone for takeout & lie about their closing time the rare time they pick up.
Very friendly servers and such amazing food with unique and complex tastes! Definitely would recommend.
The food was good but the desserts were amazing. The staff were nice and friendly. The space is quite small, so make sure to book in advance.
The Japanese Italian intertwined food was not my favorite. Just my preference. These two cultural foods should not be intertwined to create a new Western World creation. We all had shareable dishes, so I eventually just had fries.
Awesome date night spot! Came for our anniversary and had a great time trying new fusion dishes. Awesome location on 4th and terrific service.
I very rarely make a review but the service and attention to detail, especially from Josh the tea master, was exceptional. Fantastic experience.
Not sure why I dont eat here more often. Its really delightful and flavourful and balanced. Excellent.
The food and service was top notch! It was so delicious and the recommendations were phenomenal.
The food and service were unbelievable. The Mono s were the best I ve ever had and I cannot wait to have them again. If you e never been here I couldn t recount enough.
10s across the board. Service, atmosphere, and food were incredible. Tea sommelier was an added treat. Definitely recommend, especially for a special night out.
This place is great! My wife and I went for dinner and the food was incredible. The sushi tasted great and was fresh, and the pasta was also amazing. The highlight was the tea sommelier that was serving us. He showed us an extensive tea menu which he had curated, and provided recommendations for pairings with our meals. We got two different teas that he prepared specially for us. It was a very unique and awesome experience. On top of that we thought it was quite reasonably priced for the quality of food and service.
This is a very unique restaurant. The flavours are something I had never experienced before and I was more than impressed. Keep it real guys!
Recently dined here and was not really sure what to expect since it is a Japanese/Italian restaurant. What a pleasant surprise overall. The space is very comforting and the food is exceptional. Considering the whole package, prices are reasonable and the service is great. Thank you Dan for making a memorable night for us.
If you told me about a restaurant that is a Japanese/Italian fusion, I would have said it can t work. But after trying Carino s - I can tell you, it can be done and it can be done well! Loved how cute and intimate the restraurant is (reminds me of Montreal), we loved the Kale Soba Noodle salad and their pasta mains. Wine was excellent. We had a really quirky server who elevated our dining experience. Must make a reso! Recommend for sure! Vegetarian options: Strict vegetarian options are available, but limited. Lots of options if seafood (shrimp, scallops) works for you Dietary restrictions: They were very willing to accommodate our shell fish allergy.
NOT RECOMMEND! I got the worse experience here tonight. I am celebrating my birthday at Carino and I had a reservation for 6 people, which I had to pay 60$ deposit. One of my friend couldn t make it, they refused to give us back the deposit for the 6th people because they claimed that they lost one business and charge us 20% gratity for group of 6 ???? They served 5 people, kept our deposit for the 6th and we have to pay for the 6 people service. The Japanese lady kept telling us that it s because they lost one business . But guys, you gained 5. Plus, they also asked us to pay $25 because we got a cake. When we went to other restaurants and they know that it s our special occasion, they always gave us complimentary dessert or drink. But this one just asked for more money without caring ab making their special day better for their customer. Worse service, will not recommend anyone come there for their special event or just a regular dining experience. For what you pay, you can have better experience everywhere else.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! OVERRATED, DON T GO THERE! This restaurant is over rated. The food was not bad, but the service is terrible. They charged you for everything you did. We have to pay both the fee for 6 people and 20% obligate gratitude, even though only 5 of us came. They claimed that they lost one business and we have to pay for their lost. They forgot that because of us they gained 5 more. We paid >100$ for the worst experience ever.
This is a cute restaurant providing interesting menus, cozy but romantic place for dates. We were lucky to walk in and get a table at Sunday night. I love their windows, lights and decorations with Japanese and Italian elements. Our waitress was very delighting. The service was excellent. As it for food, I d highly recommend seasonal parfait that contains many enjoyable favors in harmony, such as chocolate, ice cream, chestnut cream and many others. My month was almost watering when I wrote this line. Momos, the Nepalese dumplings were tasty and spicy. Both chicken and vegetable were good and juicy. For the main courses, seafood pasta and risotto tasted ok, but it would be better if the seafood got a bit more fresh.
The food is fantastic, the atmosphere unique, but the service is beyond excellent! The staff had amazing recommendations, made you feel truly welcome, and the highest grade of professional in Calgary.
I went here often, but during my recent visit the server took my half eaten entree to pack up and dropped it on the floor. When it was explained to me, I thought it was just a little bit that split, not all of it, but then afterwards I realized that the whole thing was thrown out. 1/3 of an expensive entree. Mistakes happen but they didn t offer to remake that part, take it partially off the bill, or anything. I only realized that the whole thing wasn t there after I had paid and at that point I didn t feel like going back and asking them about anything. It was a lot of food that I paid for that I wanted to eat later and just a sorry I spilled it on the ground so I threw it out is not good enough when we spent over 200 bucks and I had most of my pasta left over. Probably won t be going back as this has left a very bad taste in my mouth.
So sad! I when with a lot of excitement due to the ratings but was enormously disappointed.... The waiter was rusing us to order and it was our first time to explore here. I feel unconfortable and was quickly explain that we needed to leave withing two hours because they need the table so that was a bad starting point since we gather to celebrate a birthday and 6 of us just want to enjoy the food and our friends company but were insted push to order, eat fast pay the bill and leave. No even time for desert so much for a birthday! The food and the presentation was ok but nothing you can get in other places like nothing remarcable at all the fusion didnt really wow my palate I rather to go for pasta to any other Italian restaurant and a Japanese for the rest The restaurant its small and the sitting uncomfortable definitely not what I was expecting, I didnt feel respect or value so I cant recommend it specially for partys
We had a wonderful time at Carino! Josh, the Team Sommerier, was our server. He was absolutely lovely and introduced us to the idea that tea can be paired with food and wine. We had the best time! Such a unique experience.
Tried this place for the first time. I was confused at first about the concept, but I like Japanese and I like Italian food, so I figured itd be a fun food experience. I was greeted at the door from the friendly staff and was seated. The servers are very personable and knowledgeable and gave in depth details about the menu items. I took a look at the menu and each item was definitely something I would like to try. I am not a tea drinker, however the tea somalia added that extra touch of sophistication to this food journey, so I indulged in the experience. The food came at a timely manner and I was impressed at the complexity and depth of the flavor profiles in each bite I will definitely be coming back
Incredible place. Service was engaging and attentive. Food was delicious and surprising. Definitely will be going back. Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating of my wife s dairy allergy
Ive gone to many restaurants all over the world and eaten some incredible dishes. Carino has ti be one of the greatest meals Ive ever had. The concept, ideas and execution are extremely unique and stunning. The combination of flavours make it a truly special place that any food lover should try. The Tonkotsu Curry Carbonara are three things that I wouldve never thought of putting together in a dish, the elements would just not work if cooked normally. Yet the mad geniuses at Carino have achieved something that maintains the cultural integrity of each dish, while making all of them seamlessly meld together to create one of the best dishes Ive ever had the honor of having. Not just the food, the service was truly outstanding as well. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly. A special thanks to Nim for making such good conversation! Ill definitely be going to this restaurant a few more times to keep seeing what else they can come up with.
The Japanese/Italian fusion dishes were amazing. Especially, the momos. Chicken Karaage, spicy wagyu bolognese ramen, carbonera curry tonkatsu were all delicious too. Really fair price for the amount of food
Awesome food, awesome service!!!
My husband and I recently tried Carino based on the recommendation of a friend, and it did not disappoint! We had the chicken momo appetizer, I had the wagyu bocatini and my husband had the wagyu beef with spaghetti arribiata. I absolutely loved my dish, and while my husband said his was good, he didnt find it cohesive since it was Buffalo mozzarella on top of a wagyu steak on top of spaghetti. Even so, he ate everything and we both said we would love to come back to try other items on the menu.
