Villa Firenze in Calgary

5 Stars to the entire team at Villa Firenze !! We were so lucky to have Quinne (sp?) as our main server with everyone else pitching in as needed. She was so much fun and excellent at the art of relating to diners. She and the team provided outstanding service amid a very busy lunch yesterday. Sadly some neighboring tables of business men were less than gracious in their demands. Learn some manners boys ! The food as always was delicious and portions were just right for lunch. We will continue to choose Villa Firenze as our favorite place for Italian food and for the incredible team who make it enjoyable every single time!

Villa Firenzie is just as excellent today as it was when I last visited 7 years ago. The food was top notch ( my spouse had lasagna and stated it was out of this world) and my veal dish ( Vitello alla Villa Firenze) was outstanding. Carla, was one of the best servers I have experienced in a very long time. Knowledgeable as to the different meal options, humourous with a twinkle in her eyes and always making sure that our water glasses were full, more bread - sure no problem; its the little things that make her service great and this restaurant a must go to! Villa Firenze is one of the best italian restaurants in Calgary; 10 out of 10. You wont be disappointed.

I have been meaning to try Villa Firenze since I moved to Bridgeland. It was a bit of a mixed experience that we had. The food was fantastic and definitely heads above many Italian restaurants I ve been to recently. Every dish we tried was delicious and exceeded my expectations. I also really liked the ambiance. The service left me a bit confused because on one hand, I found the staff very friendly, but there were some issues. We waited an uncomfortably long time to be noticed to be seated. To the point where we almost left because it felt so uncomfortable. Once we did get seated, the service was super friendly; we had our coats taken for us, and our server was knowledgeable. As the meal went on, service was less attentive. We did feel a bit rushed to leave at the end as well. Also, I felt bit awkward having to grab my own coat behind their station and in their closet. It was like moments of exceptional service, but no follow through. That being said, the food made up for the disconnect in service, and I will be back to try more dishes and recommend this restaurant for a cozy date night meal.

I recently visited Villa Firenze and had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, with standout dishes like the portobello mushroom and the handmade seafood ravoli that was to die for. Not to mention, the ravoli goes towards a good cause. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the portions were just right. Great spot for a romantic night out we will definitely be back!

My husband and I decided to check this place out while in Calgary from out of town. It s our new favourite go to place in Calgary. Incredible wine list. The best ceasar salad I ve had. The pasta was divine. Overheard the table next to us talking about a mushroom signature dish that they specifically came back for. The service was perfect. We were able to enjoy a glass of wine. Order our appetizer and then dinner after. Never felt pressured or rushed. Amazing local gift to the big city.

So, we finally made it to Villa Firenze... and WOW, it was *amazing*! From the moment we walked in, the service was perfect attentive without being overbearing. And the food? Absolutely delicious. I m usually pretty picky, but even the Caesar salad with their house-made dressing had me hooked. It was that good. We had been hearing rave reviews about the mushroom appetizer, and despite me not being a fan of mushrooms, we gave it a shot my boyfriend loved it! (I, on the other hand, was all about the dipping sauce that came with it. *So good.*) The lasagna? To die for. Honestly, I ll be eating my leftovers for breakfast. But theres so much more on the menu that I cant wait to try next time. Villa Firenze has been on our radar for a while, and I m so glad we finally went. Highly recommend it 100% will be back soon!

Amazing food and service. Tortellini was delicious. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back. Brushetta and salads were exceptional. If you want a nice Italian restaurant that wont disappoint, this is the place to go!!!

Mediocre sevice and food for fine dining price.

We celebrated my parents anniversary at Villa Firenze tonight. While the food was pretty good, Queen, our server, made our night just a little more fun with her great personality. She seems like someone who enjoys her job.

Had the worst experience tonight! This place came as a recommendation from a Friend, so I was so excited to have a girls night out. Our server Queenie was amazing but we accidentally added DAVE for more bread. Rather saying sure or okay, he turns and says in a very rude and belittling tone it costs more. Firstly Dave, before people come into a restaurant they most likely check out the menu and prices. I replied to him saying that s fine, and he turned away. Then he had the nerve to joke about it a few tables away. How unprofessional and disrespectful! After he continued to walk around setting things up but not once did it occur to him that overall he made himself look stupid! Our mood was so off with this belittling that we quick ate our food and paid our bills and left! I was so excited to try your desserts but was afraid we would be judged by this while male, Dave.

As soon as I walked in, I asked in a nice kind manner do you happen to have outdoor seating the Asian lady at the front hostess table said you are at Villa Firenze do you know where you are lol . I chose to come to this place because I order it on DoorDash and genuinely enjoy the food so I decided to come in person. Wrong choice, unwelcoming service. Walked out and went to UNA down the block instead. Way better service.

My first time at restaurant. I loved the food and service. Wonderful.

I made the reservation very excited about the reviews but I guess I was unlucky. I arrived at 8:30 pm and we were told that the kitchen would close in 5 minutes to new orders (the website says 10:00 as the closing time). The food was good but before we finished, the room was emptying and we felt like we were being invited to leave. So, overall, I think the price is high for the experience provided.

September 6, 2024 was a special night for our family of five at Villa Firenze. Everything was perfect, and Queen (server) was patiently informative in response to our many questions about the menu and highly knowledgeable with her suggestions as to what food and wine we might pair nicely together. There was a variety of meals ordered but it would take up too much space here to describe the many reasons why each was so uniquely special. The atmosphere was not only perfect, but reminiscent of visits we have made to various parts of Italy. Well done Villa Firenze and Queen! We will definitely return on our next trip to Calgary...

Generally, great service, and a nice atmosphere. Food was really good. I had veal marsala, which came with potatoes and plenty of vegetables - cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, zucchini, and peppers. Very tasty. I ordered tiramisu for dessert, which I found rather bland. All in all, I would definitely go back. Friendly staff too! I had low expectations as I was reading the reviews on Google and Others. I went there for a business meal, and we had a great time and truly enjoyed the food and wine, we ordered bruschetta, escargot, cannelloni, portobello mushroom and other couple of things. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Definitely will be back.

We ve been supporting this restaurant for 25 years and our last and probably final meal was extremely disappointing. Their veal was shoe leather and the manager blamed it on what was delivered as if they had no quality control over what is served. Jumbo shrimp appetizers were nothing to write home about. The mushroom appetizer has definitely been changed from how amazing it used to be. Gnocchi was okay. Lemon chicken had little flavour. But the worst was we had to ask to return the veal because it was so tough. We asked to have it replaced with an order of gnocchi instead. That literally never came out. We waited 20 minutes and flagged down our waiter who just stood there wide eyed and had just blatantly forgotten to order it from the kitchen. Inexcusable service from a fine dining restaurant.

I was here yesterday with my family. It was a great experience over all. The food was really good, the atmosphere was intimate and the service was also really good. Its a great place to go out with your family for a dinner. I would definitely go here again.

There were 3 of us on a Friday night. Service was wonderful, staff was very accommodating, even with substitutions. The food was OK. Their cream sauce was not very flavorful, the marsala was exceedingly sweet. The pasta was glumpy, stuck together. Probably wont return.

The service was very uncomfortable. She made us feel unwelcome because we didnt order any drinks. Very unprofessional.

After such good reviews, we were extremely disappointed. The food was overpriced and our waitress was mean. They charged extra for refills on soda and bread (which was not great to begin with). Do not order the Veal Marsala. The waitress warned us it was sweet, and she was not kidding. The sauce was right off the desert menu and reminded me of a maple donut. Your overall experience at this establishment will depend on the number of overpriced bottles of wine you order.

The best authentic Italian restaurant in the city, by far! Owners are also the kindest people and know what customer service is. Food is on point every time! Love it!! Gnocchi, mushrooms, nutella cheesecake, and veal are my favorites!

WOW! who knew that Calgarys Bridgeland area had this amazing italian restaurant? Four of us attended last night, and Carla made the evening so much more memorable. So much fun! The food is EXCELLENT!. The foccacia bread, and the portobello mushroom appetizer were superb. My wife had the sea bass, and I had the lemon chicken, both were prepared perfectly, arrived piping hot, and tasted sooooooo good. You must try this restaurant! Highly recommended. Be aware that the portobello mushrooms are amazing but they are $28 a piece ?

Probably one of the worst dining experiences I ve had in a while. The service was non existent, we were constantly having to flag down other servers to even get anything brought or taken from our table. When it came to knowledge of the menu our server had no clue what he was talking about. We had 2 allergies with our group so not knowing what certain things were was a major red flag. When asked what vegetables come with the meal he had no clue and made a guess which wasn t even close to what actually came with the course. The chicken had enough seasoning on it to kill a horse. And the veal was over done. Not worth the 30 plus dollars. Their menu states raspberry cheesecake and when it was delivered we asked where the raspberry s were only to be told it s a mixed berry. Which made no sense, if that s what it is. Label it as that on the menu. Overall not worth it. The service was awful and the food was nothing to rave home about.

Villa Firenze is everything you want from a local legend. This restaurant is a family joint that brings the best service, food, and atmosphere you can find. If you want a classic down to earth restaurant experience, with Italian food so good that makes you wanna rudely exclaim Mama Mia!?!? This is the place for you.

Loved all aspects of this restaurant

Went with friends last month and was very disappointed with my veal meal too sweet for veal Marsala. Having had this in many restaurants this was a miss. My friends were ok with their meals. The Caesar salad had way too much dressing and didn t taste authentic I chose this place because of the reviews but feel there must be better choices in Calgary. Just sharing my experience Hope this helps.

Villa had a classy but welcoming atmosphere. It s my go-to anytime I have something to celebrate (birthday, promotion, anniversary - anything!) I always feel taken care of. They often so something special for me (ie prosecco on my birthday). Not to mention the food is amazing. Ask for the portobello mushroom. It s a secret but if you ask they will make it for you. I don t even like mushrooms and it s amazing.

Was served by Tina and she was the most incredible and helpful waitress Ive ever had. I did not know what wine I wanted and she was patient and allowed me to difficult and picky. She was social and made my entire table happy, comfortable and satisfied.

Traditional homemade Italian food, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. Staff are attentive, friendly and professional. We especially enjoy the gnocchi, lasagna and veal parmigiana. When we want a homemade meal away from home, Villa Firenze is a top choice for our family.

Visiting Calgary and met up with a friend for dinner here. Everything was perfect!! We shared the crostini al Salmone, I had the pappardelle con salmone affumicato, my friend had the pesto linguine; cappuccinos for dessert. My friend says it is her new favourite restaurant. Had a meal here. The calamari was smelly and tasted terrible. Service was provided by the lady but, she wasn t professional. They spilt water on my dress and just walked away not noticing anything.

We came in to celebrate our folks anniversary and the ambiance and food was great. Our service was something left to be desired though. As soon as we sat down, we felt rushed to order, had our order choices questioned (food and wine) without any recommendations, and when asked for the dessert menu, our server couldn t be bothered to get us a menu and just rattled off choices. We saw afterwards the cannoli cheesecake was on the menu and would ve loved to try if we knew it was on the menu. We felt completely ignored. Even after the bill was paid up, our server didn t even bother to say goodbye and just left without a word. She made us feel that we over tipped for her service. All in all, we enjoyed the food immensely but the server seemed inattentive to our table and left us with a sour experience. Hopefully we just caught the server on a bad day. We picked an upscale restaurant to celebrate their 35th and make it a special night. The food was great but the service really dampened the special occasion.

Just recently went to this place for my first time and it was insanely good. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed both of our dishes. He had pappardelle with salmon and I had the linguine pesto. Tried to branch out from my fave Italian places! Its a beautiful place to go to, the interior is nice, but I was waiting by the front door for over 10 minutes before finally seeing a waitstaff to wave down to get our reserved table. The waiter was lovely and very attentive. I ordered the Villa Firenze pasta dish and it was very delicious and filling. The Prosecco was also nice, not too dry. The panna cotta was also lovely! My only other qualm was that there was another waitress that was very loud and was singing all the time to tables. She had a decent voice but that was not what I was hoping for with our quiet dinner.

Been coming here for 20 years. Never had a bad experience. Last night was no exception. Rare to find a restaurant where you get the same server for 20 years as well.

Best relaxed atmosphere and amazing service. Food was great as well. Special thank you to the two lovely ladies that served us tonight including our main server Pena. We will be back. Greatly appreciated the humour and laid back vibe, whilst still maintaining an amazing experience.

Upon arrival, youll immediately be struck by the cozy and authentic atmosphere, enhanced by the warm glow of candlelight at the tables. The pasta served here is made in-house, and has a fresh flavour. This restaurant is the perfect place for a romantic date. During our visit, we tried the Linguine di Spinaci con Cozze, which was excellent, and the seafood flavor was not overpowering. The Gnocchi allá Bolognese was also delicious. Parking is conveniently located just behind the restaurant, and the staff was extremely friendly.

Came here for Valentine s Day, it was our first time. Based off the reviews it seemed worth trying. Food was okay at best (pesto cream linguine w/chicken) & (chicken Alfredo) Sausage appy is just 2 sausages. Service was good, our host Nobel was great!! Food was way overpriced though And the vibe is pretty good! It s a classic calm atmosphere but no music :/ wouldn t recommend and won t be back. The menu is also very heavy in seafood, not much meat Parking: Not a lot of parking but there is a dedicated parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: There s a ramp

The restaurant is nice and clean. Servicr was very nice. The food was very good, especially the baked portobello mushroom and seafood fettuccine pasta. Dont order their minestrone. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Apologies to Villa Firenze that its been so long since my last visit. Your food and service clearly showed that more visits are warranted. Your portobello mushroom in cream sauce has no equal.

Everything was so wonderful. We had such incredible service from the time we arrived to the end. The food was also very delicious. The wine menu has such a variety as well. We will definitely be back!

We live nearby and had a birthday to celebrate so we called and made a quick reservation in advance. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. To start I had the calamari and then I had gnocchi bolognese. The calamari is not breaded and this was the first time I have had it that way. Very tasty. For desert I had a new York cheesecake which was a large portion.

Had a nice family dinner here tonight and I highly recommend! We started with their signature portobello mushroom appetizer and I had the gnocchi gorgonzola. It wasn t my favourite gnocchi simply because I prefer a softer gnocchi and theirs had a bit of bite, perfect for most people! We finished off with their tiramisu: deliciously light, coffee wasn t overbearing, and perfectly moist. The whole time David took great care of us, he was perfectly friendly and made an excellent wine recommendation for my partner s entree. We will be returning! Vegetarian options: Most pastas were offered without meat, including the dishes that 3/4 people at my table ordered, none of whom are usually vegetarian!

Good food. Good service. Only cons, found it a little dark inside. Weird. Also was very expensive. I guess this is the new, post inflation world? If so, I cant afford to return.

Love this restaurant! It s a great Italian spot the boss is awesome and food is delicious. My family loves this place so much my sister had her wedding reception here! I definitely recommend this place!

What a treat this restaurant was. From the server to the being able to talk to the owner. Everyone was fantastic and the food really speaks for itself. Will definitely recommend anyone to come try here at least once.

We had the Sea bass special, the Fettuccini Pesto, the stuffed portabella mushroom appetizer and the Tiramisu with a coffee to finish. I must say that every dish was absolutely delicious! It was a real treat and you could really notice the quality of each dish! We will definitely be back to try out some more! Parking: Tiny lot that wraps around the plaza. Bit hard to find but the area is easy enough to circle around if lost.

I went there yesterday for dinner. This was the 1st time I visited, and I must say I was blown away by the experience. The food was exquisite, and the service was top. I got to chat a bit with Pina, she and her husband, who is the chef, own this family business, super warm people. Thanks for the amazing dinner!

Food and service was fantastic

As first time guests last evening with friends, the portobello mushroom appetizer was everything our server Carla promised and then some!. We enjoyed the rest of the meal and Carla was attentive, personable and added a lot of fun to our evening. We will be back!

Professional Service and Wonderful Italian Favourites!

My husband and I came here for his birthday .. First time for us and everything was wonderful we had the portobello mushroom appetizer, and the mussels from NZ both outstanding. So much flavour . I had the spinach pasta with prawns soooooo good ,and my husband had the gnocchi with Gorgonzola and the gorgonzolas was smoked .. both were outstanding .. the service was top notice and David took excellent care of us. I have a severe food allergy and they took extra care preparing my food so there was no cross contamination . I highly recommend to anyone

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the flavour but found the waitress (service) to be lacklustre. We weren t checked on throughout our dinner and that is part of the dining experience. I just found for a hundred dollars the service could have been more in touch to check on how we were doing and whether if we needed anything. We noticed other parties were checked on but we just felt forgotten about which was disappointing. I would like to return for the food, but I ll be hesitant just because of how I felt when I left, which was letdown.

Wonderful food and service! The calamari and spinach linguine with shrimp were fabulous. Our server who was new to Calgary from Italy was fantastic, she took such great care of my son and I from start to finish. We will be back.

Update July 6 2023. All I can say is AMAZING!! Brought our friends from NS they were very impressed cant wait to come back. Great food, great service. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. I love this restaurant and have since 1991. Best Authentic Italian cuisine and great service. The food is always consistently excellent cant say enough. The portabello mushroom is such a treat we have it every time. I love to introduce this gem to friends whenever possible. Have missed Villa through covid SO HAPPY TO GO BACK!!!

The perfect place for a romantic dinner

All of the food is amazing! We went there with a group of 4 people and ordered 2 kinds of pasta, chicken, and veal steak. Pastas are Al dente cook. Steaks are tender. The bread is so good. Has car parking beside the building. In the restaurant is a bit dark, so it is hard to read the menu.

My wife and I ate here and we were thoroughly disappointed. Pretentious Italian food that does not hit the mark for fine dinning. If you are going to charge fine dinning prices then you have to do better. I found bones in my Chilean sea bass, 3 to 4 fairly big ones. Tomato pasta was store bought and didn t work with the fish, weird side to serve with Chilean sea bass. My wife ordered a seafood pasta with shellfish, there was ALOT of parsley, which is something you do to hide the lack of authentic sauce for the dish. Lastly, the waitress was insulting enough to say we would not like the price on a more expensive vine. All in all, I would strongly recommend people try Centini s Italian restaurant on Steven Avenue in Calgary. It is far better and true fine dinning if you want a taste of Italy.

Went here a few years ago and it was fantastic and well worth the cost Returned recently (July 2023) and the consistent comment from everyone in our group. Food was okay but not worth the price. Kinda disappointing. Unlikely we will return.

What a gem!! From its cozy, comfortable vibes, to the fantastic service, A+. We had their special appetizer which was roasted portobello mushroom with a cream sauce with other toppings that I dont recall, but it was simply spectacular. This was followed by penne alla marinara and penne all arribbiata, both exceptional! We then had the best tiramisu and coffee. We were simply blown away. We will be returning time and time again!

Found this place when we traveled to Calgary. My wife is half Italian and I knew shed be tough to win over with restaurant food. The food was delicious! She was won over as was I. The owner was very kind chatted with us for some time. The cannelloni was fantastic! Definitely recommend if you get the chance.

Our server Chong was amazing!!! Fantastic food and atmosphere. Loved the mushroom appetizer on special and the feature pesto pasta. Highly recommend!

Food was great! Authentic Italian. Wine was amazing and the service was awesome. We were in Italy in January and it felt like we were transported back in time to our favourite cozy little restaurant in Florence. 10/10 reccomend.

Best dinner experience

My friend and I shared an absolutely delicious Caesar salad with scrumptious bread. Cannelloni for each of us was Devine. Service was incredible. Will be returning for sure very soon. Please everyone, if you want authentic and delicious food, eat there.

Visiting from Ontario, the best Italian restaurant in Calgary is what we where looking for. We fortunately had Carla as our server. I would street fight a baby to have such impeccable service...she even sang for us..... the wine food was amazing as well. The best Italian food and hospitality is what we got!

Had a fantastic 1 year anniversary meal here with my wife last night. The food and service were fantastic. My wife had the bolognese, and I had the Veal Parmesan. To start were shared the pesto caesar salad, which is a very cool take on the traditional version, Escargot, which was a very good portion, and the portobello mushroom. Our server was very funny, and had great one liners. The service was prompt and the atmosphere was great for a celebration.

Amazing food! Cannot rave about this place enough. I dont live in town but after one meal it is now a must visit when I am in Calgary. My only problem is that I dont know I would try any of the other dishes after having such an amazing gnocchi dish!

Amazing food! Definitely several steps above and so delicious! Atmosphere is great for a date, it was quite quiet for lunch when we came. Only drawback for me was our server smelled like cigarette smoke (which I m particularly sensitive to). Not a deal breaker, just lowered the experience for me a bit Wheelchair accessibility: Door is elevated but there is a nice long ramp to access. Restrooms are downstairs though, and I don t recall seeing an elevator

Profoundly impressed with this restaurant. Not only do they keep a high standard with the quality of food they serve (i.e. wild fish only, not farmed), the taste and presentation was impeccable. On top of that, our lovely server sang with beautiful tone Happy Birthday to my sister as we decided to celebrate her 40th birthday there. What a gem!

Hadnt been in eons and thankfully it hasnt changed. Old school Italian is a craving that must be satisfied and Villa delivers and by the time we left at 645, the place was full. Service was efficient, engaging and helpful, with a great attitude to boot. Had the Tortellini in brodo, bruschetta, risotto ai Fungi and the gnocchi a la bolognese.

We went on our anniversary about a week ago. I live in Edmonton but we went to calgary for our anniversary and we know we wanted Italian to celebrate our special day. I googled Italian restaurants in Calgary and, boy, the options. But we narrowed it down to Villa Firenze. I only tried gnocchi once and I hated it. But my boyfriend wanted to try it and we tried The bolognese gnocchi, veal sautéed in gorgonzola cheese, bruschetta, and veal stuffed tortellini soup. We enjoyed everything and the funny thing was, at first the dishes tasted as if they were slightly lacking in flavor but every bite I had, the flavors intensified and I was not bale to stop. Literally felt as if Crack was added. We thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and we decided to try Panna cotta for the first time and oh my, that was the best way to end our meal. Also, going back to the gnocchis, they were the perfect chew. I did not like the first time i tried gnocchi because it was too soft. But villa firenzes gnocchi had the oerfect chew and very addicting. We will definitely be back!!

Food is good, but service provided by the Asian lady is not professional, doesnt match with the excellence of their food. There is a fine line between being confident and arrogant, and if you go too far, you impress your customer in a negative way, regardless of how good your food is. Food

Probably our favorite Italian place in Calgary. Always has great service as well. Love the special Gorgonzola Cream Portobello Mushrooms (have to request as not on menu), Spicy Sausage, Lasagna, Seafood Pastas, Veal, Tiramisu. My work used to have Christmas parties hosted here and everyone enjoyed it and this is how I first discovered this gem. Been going back ever since. Highly recommend. They have a smaller parking lot in the back of the restaurant.

My girlfriend and I went there for a date night, and booked a reservation that same day. The staff was super attentive and really kind, they even asked if we wanted them to take a photo of us when they saw we were taking some of each other. The food was really good, and the portion sizes were more than enough. Overall it made for a really good dinner date. Parking: Only a few spots in the back, unsure of what street parking is like.

Amazing food. Well prepared. Lasagna was tender and serving size was ample. The spinach pasta stuffed with seafood was a hit! Service was attentive but not intrusive. Popular place so be sure to make a reservation for a Friday or Saturday. Will definitely return.

The chef is always smoking or yelling in the parking and does not look good for the restaurant.

Weve been here couple times with friends and family but it disappoints me everytime. Food are overpriced for sure and rude staffs. But especially everytime we go staff and chefs are outside staring at us and talking about people. Felt like we were not welcomed and it was very uncomfortable.

Went for an evening meal with my better half. Had a relaxing meal. Each of our plates were delicious. Our server was gracious and attentive. Parking: Parking lot is accessible from the side of the building. Watch for the sign as you approach as we missed it the first time.

Staff and settings were super nice! I ordered the fettuccine pesto but wasnt overly impressed, very oily. But the other orders were tasty.

We dined at Villa Firenze this evening. As usual the service was excellent, the food was excellent, the ambiance was excellent. Our favourite authentic Italian restaurant in Calgary. We had Vongole and Calamari both of which were very good. The owner came over and spoke with us personally to make sure everything was OK, much appreciated.

This restaurant used to be good so I recommended it for our night out with friends. It was a mistake. The waitress was rude and intrusive. It was so dark in the restaurant you couldnt see the food. The portions were very small for the price; two small crackers with a tablespoon of bruschetta $15. Everything was significantly overpriced and the food mediocre. I had the veal but I doubt very much it was veal. The vegetables were so tough my friend couldnt cut it. The potatoes were dried up pieces of skin reheated to an inedible degree. At a neighboring table, they sent back their food because it was inedible and the second dishes were left mostly untouched. My friends were too nice to say anything but I was very embarrassed. Save yourself the trouble and give this restaurant a pass.

Yesterday my friend and I came here to eat. We were sat at table 7. Quite simply, the food here is delectable. The head chef, Joe, is clearly a meticulous man who cares for his craft, this shines through the quality of food you receive. The servers were wonderful, kind, and funny which really enhanced our experience. Absolutely amazing restaurant. 10/10. Will be back!

Delicious food.

Quite disappointed by this restaurant that have been open since 1991. I thought of it as an institution but our mussels were quite ordinary, the Cesar salad without taste and the cannelloni overcooked. All my friends had the veal. Masala, combozola sauce, etc. The vegetables were or overcooked or under cooked, the sauce was nice as well as the appetizers; the shrimps and the calamares. The service was fabulous but for the price, there is so many great restaurant in YYC, i would not be back. Parking: There is a parking for both restaurants, Villa Firenzi and Pizza Toto ( same owner-Tony Nicastro.
